The United Clans of Entira

Buckteeth

A Good Start
Species
Name: Entiran.
General Life-Span: 20 to ~300 years, depending on availability of corrective installation of cybernetics.
Appearance:
Due to their unique situation, the appearance of an Entiran varies wildly between individuals. When younger, all Entirans have heads with potruding, incisor-like teeth and pale, pupiless eyes on the sides of their heads. An Entiran's head is around the size of a human torso. Their skin can range from pink, red, brown, all the way to light grey. Their limbs consist of interconnected branches of tentacles anywhere from four to nine feet long that all connect at the head. Entirans can have anywhere from one to eight limbs extending from the back of their heads. Entirans have a very small torso directly behind their heads that contain all of their organs. The older an Entiran gets, the more it's forced to gradually replace it's body. Middle-aged Entirans usually have organic looking, humanoid suits the size of a large human designed to work in tandem with their natural bodies. Older Entirans wear larger suits of every shape and size designed to replace most of their bodily functions. It is common for Entiran suits to also possess secodary capabilities as weapons or tools.

Attributes: Once, Entirans could change their shape and biology at will, regenerate from scraps of flesh, and live eternally. Now, not only have they lost these powers, their bodies mutate degeneratively from birth, eventually resulting in death after around twenty years. Sometimes, death occurrs sooner, even at birth. The cybernetic replacement of degenerated parts slows the process, but the most long-lived still die of it at around 300. However, young Entirans are still lithe and strong, not to mention capable of surviving damage to anywhere except their head and torso.

Faction
Name: United Clans of Entira.
Type of Government: Clan-based hierarchy. Rule is headed by the Head of Clans, who controls all of the interstellar ships. The HOC is the only elected leader of the United Clans of Entira. Below them are the Patriarchs/Matriarchs of each clan, who control anywhere from five to twenty percent of the Entiran interstellar ships. Commanders control only one interstellar ship, and Captains below them control a single interplanetary ship. Both are appointed by Patriarchs and Matriarchs.
Leader(s): Head of Clans V'voorizoar.
Home Planet: Entira.

Morality: Lawful neutral.
History: Entirans, the dominant species of Entira, had only barely discovered interplanetary space-travel before encountering their first alien species. Intelligent and already possessing interstellar technology, the aliens, fearful of the Entirans' abilities and refusal to abandon an agressive colonization doctrine, decided that preemptive action was necessary. A massive attack on Entira was launched, resulting in the death of eighty percent of the Entiran population, the destruction of nearly half the planet, and radioactive exposure resulting in the mutation of Entirans on the homeworld. Other settlements were swiftly destroyed in their entirety, and the remains of Entira government went into hiding on Entira's surface. The aliens, satisfied, left to fates still unknown. The remaining Entirans used stolen technology to construct ships capable of interstellar travel and sustainig large populations for indefinite periods of time. Since then, they've operated as a steadily expanding set of nomads, looking to cure their illness and establish a new civilization.
Technology: The Clans utilize technology stolen or bought from other civilizations for the most part. Because of this, their ships, suits, machines, and weapons vary wildly. The only real innovation of the Entirans is their stealth plating, which protects their ships from all but the most advanced and thorough scans, but still leaves it visible to the naked eye. It's also expensive, so only the civilian interstellar ships possess it, as well as a fifth of the military interstellar ships. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule.
Society: The entirety of the Clans exists as a fleet of around 800 interstellar ships in constant pilgrimage. Thirty-five percent of those ships are military in purpose, with the rest serving as residential, agricultural, and industrial centers for the clan. Each ship is at least eight kilometers long, with the largest, the civilian ships, being nearly thirty kilometers long. Each carries and supports much smaller ships, all of which are capable of interplanetary travel.

The Head of Clans
Name: V'Voorizoar.
Morality: Lawful neutral.
Age: 214.
Species: Entiran.

His head, torso, and remaining limbs reside within this nine feet tall four-armed suit.

Paraphernalia: Forced to live within pictured suit due to degeneration.
History: Born the distant cousin of the then-Matriarch, V'Voorizoar worked to prove himself worthy of becoming a commander. As a Captain, he showed himself to be capable, but not exemplary as a military tactician. V'Voorizoar's true strength lay in logistics, for which he was a practical genius. Eventually, he was made commander of a civilian ship.

Satisfied but still driven to improve his society, V'Voorizoar advocated for pride of the Entiran race within his ship far more than pride for clan in order to try to deter interfamilial hostilities. While this was met with ire from his own clan, coupled with his skill in logistics it drew interest within the ranks of the other clans. V'Voorizoar met his nomination for Head of Clans as a great surprise, but threw himself into campaigning, promising to put all Entirans before himself and his interests. It was by no means a landslide, but he was elected HOC nevertheless.

Our biggest complaint thus far is ship size, the GM committee will need to sit down and have a discussion on ship sizes soon to find a set of suitable guidelines. After that, we'll discuss our decision with you so everything gets tidied up. We've already agreed to allow you more ships in compromise, though, once we have the guidelines. Other than that we've no discrepancies on the faction itself, in fact I quite like it, the angle you're creating with it is an interesting one that I look forward to seeing in the RP.

We've come to decide 30 kilometers will be the max ship size, that would mostly be for dreadnoughts and super-carriers and such. Anything bigger would be one of a kind ships like the Matrix or the Erathi Colony ship.

Finished editing. I had to reduce the ships to a sixtieth of their size, so I increased the fleet to a little less than 6000% of it's original size. Notify me if further edits are necessary.

That's actually a hell of a lot of ships, especially for the remnants of a species, bring that down to a reasonable level and we're good. ATM you likely outnumber a good number of factions.

The military percentage is kinda out there, usually, it's a small portion. We can leave it at 800 for now while I discuss with the other GMs a possible frame of reference. Make it somewhere between 30 and 40 percent and we're good.
