Crow

appears to be in his late 60's or early 70's. He is often seen wearing black hooded cloaks over white and black robes. The stooped man average height looks below average and his typical slow movement is offset by his gracious movements. He speaks in a deep voice and his perceptive morbid banter gives a glimpse into his insight. Sad thing is it is hard at times to tell if he is serious or not as his comments often lack emotion.

Mai Yanxing

One of the only Guild Factors allowed to travel to the Capital of Treqe. This mature woman's actual age is hard to gauge. Her face looks about 40, but her hair and eyes seem much older. This lady usually comes off very sweet to potential customers, but her reputation within the caravans is one who is not to be dealt with lightly. There are rumors that crossing this lady may be a sentence worse than death. No one knows how she was able to wrangle negotiations with Treqe as the city-state is notorious for its negative view of the rumors and deed of the Guild. Whatever her connections she is building her legacy and other Factors consider her interest in an area as a threat. While her home is in Nexus and the last couple of years she has not traveled with her famous caravan Reeds of Ascension (which grew from a two wagon merchant caravan to contender with 100s of wagons and her web of influence continues to stretch) she now

Amber

Not much is known about the past of this girl. She is not 16 although she looks it and at times acts as such. A business partner of Mia Yanxing that owns the second most shares in the guild factors caravan. The two seem nearly inseparable. What else is known is that Amber seems to handle the security measures of all ventures the two are invested in. She is considered dangerous because she keeps more to herself and only the two knows what they share between them. It is obvious that they care greatly for each other, in some eyes too much!

Witlow

Witlow is a young banker (early twenties) from South Landing of Eastern Treqe. He is known for his shrewd business dealings. The only child of his father Witlow is a power-broker who sets business trends for other investors. His ability to found profitable investments is uncanny. Many influential guild factors wait months to get a chance to have a one on one with him. Though he has been building great revenue with the funds his father gave to him, he is not completely independent as everything he does has to go through Marian an influential guild factor that sets on the council in Nexus.

Vessen Teage

The man named Vessen is reputed to one be a slave taskmaster in Nexus a legendary one that many slavers would turn to assist with troublesome slaves. He earned a great amount of money profiting with gladiators that he personally picked and trained. He retired about 3 years ago and brought his way into the guild. He has made both enemies and allies since. His most prominent ally being Mia Yanxing. There has been rumors that Vessen was once a slave himself that earned his freedom, supposedly mainly from his ability to track down fellow slaves. He is well feared within the slave community of Nexus.

Blackfern

They say he comes from the east, but now he travels throughout the northern eastern regions of Eastern Treqe. He shuns the larger populated areas, but has some sort of circuit he travels visiting the villages and farm lands. Usually he performs work or prayer services to the Celestials as a service to others for room and board. Never known to stay at any location long enough to be captured by Immaculate Monks of the Satrapy he has warmed many hearts of the locals with his humble selfless acts over the last decade.

Alder

Is a physician who moved to Abanor 2 years ago. He is supposedly distantly related to the king, if he is Alder is not saying. A native of the capital city, he brings his medical knowledge to the worse off of the war. Often he travels north to help some of the worse stricken towns how have suffered tremendously from the blight. An effeminate man of taste he is often seen in some of the most luxurious outfits, yet he seems loved more by peasants than nobles. When residing in Abanor he often is among the Black Knight’s court.

Doy-uDie (do-you-die)

Doy-uDie is a strange being who often wears an assortment of bells on his person which chimes often rather he moves or stands still. Extremely tall, and having an awkward yet lovely gate when he moves. He is so beautiful to behold many cannot figure if he is a man or woman, many turn away from his piercing gaze that seems to bore down deep into a persons soul.

Bloodfist

Not much is known about this gigantic half-blood unless you witness his ravaging of several populated areas. His face is ever hidden beneath his cowl only the yellow-orange glow from his eyes. They say nothing but desolation follows this being and he has a crew of men dedicated to nothing but chaos, known only as the Marauders of Malfeas.

The Green Knight, Meridian Knight of Eastern Treqe’s southern region

Salyia Amill was adopted to the Amill nobility almost 15 years ago. The previous Green Knight Azdras Amil had no one who qualified to replace him. He searched the region for years and one day Salyia of Ramer was discovered. A young girl who had no idea how to run the region. She was trained by the family to replace the aging Azdras. His death came early when he lead an army to help defend the easternmost areas of the kingdom from a mass of roaming walking dead that everyone thinks came from Thorns, although the Masks of Winter has always claimed to have nothing to do with the infestation of dead or the blight that had followed. Salyia while young has done a great many things to change her lands. She has implemented laws protecting her citizens, brought an education system for children despite social status, and limited the amount of Immaculate influence in the area. Some speculate she may worship the Maiden of the Woods, a local goddess that appeared in the rural areas of the south region and has now spread to the villages, towns and then South Landing itself. Like the Maiden of the Wood, the new Green Knight sports a giant Scythe. She is the least liked by the satrap of Treqe and her advisors. Rumors also abound that Lady Amill is hoping to convince the king to end it’s relationship with the realm. If it is true she must convince a majority of the nobles before the king would even consider.

The Black Knight, Meridian Knight of Eastern Treqe’s northern region

Vannal Akira III has been in charge of the northern regions of Treqe for the last 20 years. Coming from a powerful family of knights that have given their lives protecting the interests of Treqe. Vannal holds the title of General of the Treqe Army and has plenty of military experience. Trained in Lookshy over 40 years ago, he is known as a brilliant strategist even in the Scavenger Lands.

The Akira family is the only Meridian Knights that have sent their sons to train up north with the Seventh Legion. Not an advocate of the Realm, yet not their enemy either, this family has had an up and down relationship since the alliance with the Realm. The Akira family has always been a concern of the Blessed Isle.

Vannal used to spend a lot of his time at the capital overseeing the army of the kingdom. The last three years has pulled him away from such affairs as he concentrates on the animate dead’s infestations and the mysterious blights that continue to devastate the land. Once it was said he had a very joyous personality and a romantic at heart. Since the deaths of most of his family fighting the dead, he has become nearly antisocial only holding or participation in courts at home or the capital if he must. Many of his duties are currently being overseen by his personal stand-ins. They don’t bring words of the Black Knight to these gatherings, only taking notes and bringing them back to their lord.

His lands in the northeastern most section has nearly been destroyed. The people who stay are all loyalist of the Akira family, but more of them die each season than can be replaced. People are dying from disease, disappearing or committing suicide at an alarming rate. The kingdom of Treqe could possibly wipe-out the infestations of walking dead if not for the questionable tribute increase from the Realm. Only time will tell what develops for the Black Knight’s region of Eastern Treqe.

Laigon the Gallant, Meridian Knight of Treqe City (missing) his seat remains open at this time.

Laigon has always been an anomaly. He was found on the shores of Countess Lake, the largest lake of Treqe City. He was taken in by Lord Haramel the cousin of King Yaness Aroun II (father of the current King Jasant Aroun). Lord Haramel was the first Meridian Knight and he trained Laigon to replace him when it was determined that he was best suited to become next in line. Considered the best warrior of the kingdom, Laigon grew up along side the future king Jasant. The two have always been close even when they became men.

Once given the crown Jasant made Laigon head of internal security and the personnel champion of the throne. The two was the closest of friends, until Lady Nahki came to court. Both men was heard to have been stunned by everything about her. The friends fault for her interest, but alas for whatever reason, Laigon eventually gave up the romantic rivalry. Jasant married lady Nahki and Laigon settled for being a close friend of them both.

Unfortunately two years ago Lady Nahki disappeared. She was travelling the Queens Circuit visiting Eastern Treqe populated areas. Queen Nahki has in safe hands with Laigon and his personnel chosen best men. Unfortunately during a particular spring evening someone took the queen from her room, right underneath the guards standing watch nose while she stayed at the Honest Horn Tavern in Abnor.

Laigon returned to the capital and blamed himself for her disappearance. Even though he had eyewitnesses to his own actions during the night of the abduction, Laigon still asked that the king punish him for his transgressions. Originally the King arrested Laigon and his men, he sentenced them all to death. The night before his execution Laigon disappeared. No one knows what has happened to him. That was two months after the queens disappearance. Many say Laigon left to find and rescue the queen. No one seems to know at this time.

Sachi Hakushaku (Countess Sachi) Meridian Knight of Central Eastern Treqe

Hakushaku is the oldest of the Meridian Knights four greater nobles. She was already A knight before king Jasant Aroun was given the throne. A supporter of the alliance between the Realm, her lands boast the most Immaculate temples. When Dynast come to Eastern Treqe they prefer staying in the central areas of the kingdom.

A good friend of the Satrap she is the most vocal supporter the realm has outside of the king. But her reputation for manipulation and treachery has followed her reign. She has been in some questionable dealing in the past, and many think she may still have designs for the throne itself. She is the closest relative king Jasant who has no heirs at the moment. If something happens to the king Sachi stands to gain the most.

She is rumored to actually have spent sometime studying on the Blessed Isle itself. Her mysterious nature not only intrigues her allies and adversaries it also hold many in a fearful grip.

King Aroun

Jasant Aroun at one time was considered the king that would make Treqe a powerhouse along the coast of the east. These days many whisper behind his back that he is nothing but a puppet and no longer has any will to lead. Some say it’s because he has lost his dear wife Queen Nahki and then his best friend Laigon. Others claim that the Realm’s pressure has gotten to the king and he has finally snapped. A few would claim that his advisor Wut long absence may well have something to do with it. Maybe all of the above plays a factor in this once stronger willed king.

Now a days he spends much time with the Satrap Ragara Shunai. Her political influence ten years ago nearly amounted to nothing. The King and the Meridian Knights had managed for years to maintain the upper hand when it came to the Realm. The Satrap only could bring up questions that concerned the Realm’s Tribute, because the clauses signed with the realm had many protections for natives of Treqe, it’s nobles and the crown.

The last couple of years has severly damaged the political strength of the lords and ladies of the Meridian Knights. Without all four seats occupied the Knights of Treqe have no voice on any court proceedings. There system had a check and balance system in the past between the lesser nobles, the noble lord seats and the king. Without the Noble lords the lesser nobles have no say and the lords can only debate but casts no votes. Now the king is changing laws and he is not even calling for the knights to sit in during his courts. Instead the courts are filled with lesser nobles and representatives of the realm including Ragara Shunai. The Black Knight who has been trying to see the king for the last two years has finally convinced the king to hold a special court with the lord knights this winter.

Time will tell if the winter court will have positive results.

Ragara Shunai

The arguably the most powerful women in Treqe. Shunai has been the Satrap of Treqe for Seven years. She had replaced Mnemon Imasa who was demoted for a slight by the house. The Ragara family positioned themselves to take this territory because of the economic strength of the land. The satrapy is the wealthiest in resources along the eastern coast. It has a mysterious history and although the area seemed to lack a significant amount of 1st age buildings the amount of artifacts discovered throughout has intrigued the Realm to ally with the kingdom.

Every House would love to add this kingdom under their “supervision.” The Scarlet Empress until recently has always made sure that of all the satrapies of the Realm, this area has always maintained that each advisor must be a terrestrial in order to hold office. One of the few regions where one house does not have total control of the satrapy. No House feels comfortable putting a none exalt in such a position.

Shunai has done many “moves” to make her the voice of the King. She has managed to keep the satrapy in the hands of the Regara which now has had control of the kingdom longer than any other House in the past. Her political sway has thus far kept the other houses from grabbing her seat. With the disarray going on in the Blessed Isle, she is still expected to stay and keep this land, because the elders of the Ragara House thinks it is very important. She has been able to play the advisors to her advantage, but has noticed some rips in her carefully orchestrated schemes.

Her biggest hurdle of the kingdom has been the greater nobles of the kingdom, called the Meridian Knights comprised of the four most powerful noble families. By some lucky fate one of it’s members has disappeared. It is believed she influences the king to hold the seat open, which takes away almost all of the lords strength in court.

The winter court is coming and the three lords who are present will be attending trying to make some needed changes to court and the kingdom. They don’t seem to all agree which has crippled their efforts for several years.

Ragara Tadin

The tall Tadin one of four Dynast satrap advisors, came four years ago to Treqe City following the death of his predecessor Ragara Zu. Zu had died fighting in the Northern Region against the Undead. Zu had become obsessed with the infestation and helped the Black Knight and the northern forces until his death. The Ragara lost troops along with Zu and pulled the rest back to the Omitted Isle. Tadin has been given a different command. His job is to maintain the interest of the House and specifically not to interfere with the plague up in the northern region.

The first interest assigned to Tadin is supporting Shunai as she sees fit as well as maintaining her protection. Tadin heads security for all Dynast stationed or visiting Treqe City. Tadin brought his own personal Talon Unit with him and the House added an additional Talon to support him. Events last year took the additional Talon and Ragara has been left on his own in protecting the interest of the Realm. Each of the other advisors can request up to two fangs for protection from Tadin for events advance notice is required. He also oversees all troop tribute headed for the Realm.

Tadin used to coordinate with Laigon on the security for courts, but with his disappearance and the influence of Shunai, Tadin now oversees security for all royal functions among the royal guard.

Sesus Amora

Amora has been a Dynast satrap advisor for over a decade in Treqe City. She is an emotional addition to the advisors that surrounds Shunai. The Sesus House wants to control the southeastern regions of the Blessed Isle and also want to hold Treqe as it is in a good tactical location across the Inland Sea. Amora was sent to represent the houses interest in the area. Her house chose her because of the personal experience with Shunai. They attended the same secondary school and have no love for each other.

Amora has manage to stay out of the pockets of the Ragara house, and watches the satrap like a hawk. Her impetuous nature is a sharp contrast to both Tadin and Shunai. Amora and Tadin have a surprising respectful business relationship, although it is suspected that the relationship may surpass just business dealings.

Cathak Tipei

Cathak Tipei seems to be possibly the one Dynastic satrap advisor who has no interest in his assignment to Treqe City, at least to most people. He knows he was just cast off to the area because his House actually has no serious concern for the area and it keeps him from being acknowledged by his House.

Tipei has been an embarrassment to his family because of his abilities. Shunai thought Tipei had no interest whatsoever with the city or its politics, but his actions of late seem a bit out of character. He is known for visiting the more shadier parts of the city. Yet, since the start of last year Tipei has taken many short vacations to travel throughout the Island. He is the most absent of all the advisers. He is not known for traveling beyond the Omitted Island shores and no other Cathak dignitary has ever come to the kingdom.

Yet even while no around the important scenes, it seems Tipei is still able to be fully informed of all the major actions going on throughout both the Island and Eastern Treqe. This has always cautioned the Ragara’s that this particular Cathak knows more than he lets on and his non-interests could actually be just a ruse. The Ragara watch Tipei closely when he is within the city proper.

Tepet Chizu

The Dynast assigned to Treqe City are not known to agree on most things, but one thing they all agree on is the fear, respect and distrust they all have for Tepet Chizu. Non-Dynast don’t know the reason behind the caution applied to dealing with the Tepet.. Chizu is often not invited to functions with the other advisors or satrap yet she often shows up. Shunai is cautious when Chizu is around and all the other advisors have tried at one time or another to get Chizu removed. During the first year the Empress blocked every effort from the other houses of removing Chizu. The Scarlet Empress reasons remain unknown.

Every year Chizu has proven her importance to the satrapy and her house. Each year she has also done something to enforce the distrust the others have for her. Like Cathak Tipei, Chizu was sent to Treqe as a means of getting rid off her. Shunai has secretly asked the Empress to keep Chizu around as her presence is probably the reason a relationship was established with Sachi of the Meridian Knights and the Dynast. Shunai didn’t like the arrangement and eventually played a part in souring the two ladies closeness. The friendship between the two has diminished over the years and a rivalry has grown in its place. The satrap and advisors feel that Chizu presence may be the sole reason Sachi has not tried to replace the king.

Chizu also has become a hidden move that the Tepet is now trying to keep assigned to the island. She has told her superiors that Treqe is a gem that the house should maintain an interest in, as it may well lead to helping House gain some much needed leverage. Unfortunately rumors abound that all the remaining houses on the Blessed Isle is trying to get her seat vacated immediately, something recently has renewed the interest of all Dynastic Houses with Treqe.

Adelphe the Seren

The attractive Adelphe has been in Ramer for the past couple of months. The beautiful woman is an accomplished minstrel with a skill in the violin but dwarfed by her singing/ voice. Local women are inspired by her social skills and respect, while many men seem drawn to her like a moth to flame. She was supposed to be in South Landing by now, but the lack of a travel companion has kept her in the southern town.
