Mace Gladwine
Mace looked at the datapad and then back at Aki. They didn't need this; they could sense the wellbeing of the ship itself. But who was going to tell him that. They went to hand the datapad back, but instead were handed a gigantic stack of papers. Their eyes widened and they tilted their head to look at the stack. "Oh boy..." They muttered. That's when they heard Sasri call out to them. Mace groaned and leaned against the wall. They heaved the papers onto the floor and sighed when the weight was finally out of their arms. They weren't the strongest one in the club. "Seats." They said more to themselves then anything. Daisy had crawled up and out of the purse, and up onto their left shoulder. Daisy tapped Mace's cheek. "No not right now. We have to find a seat." Mace said to Daisy. Daisy didn't like this she ruffled her tail angrily and went onto Mace's head. "Oh so you're doing this again! You little-" Mace talked to Daisy like she was another person, and Daisy really acted like one.

Mace had found a place to sit and was now looking through the things on the datapad. They worked efficiently on it and looked rather bored. They placed the datapad on the floor and looked at it. Their eyes glowing a light blue. The screen started dancing showing images of different places in the galaxy. It flicked from stars, to forests, to cities. The screen displaying possible places in the universe. Once they got bored with that the screen stopped, and Mace looked around them. They tilted their head and looked over to the place where Vela and Sasri were. "Hey how long until we get out first mission quest thingy?" They called out down the corridor.

Sasri
Sasri was still waiting for the other two members of the crew to buckle into their seats before taking off, in the mean time she responded to Mace,
"I just want to get out of orbit first, and then I can show you folks the Quest log and we can vote on a mission, and I'll also be able to show you your suits- for when you're out in the feild. It's just best to not stay on a planet for too long, when not on a mission."

Aki took a seat in one of the chairs in the back excitedly and waited for them to takeoff and get into orbit.

Sasri
Turned back around and gripped the controls, "You're funeral,"
She felt she had waited long enough for her new crewmates to secure themselves. And decided to take off as they were.
The ship reved forward, and the startled faces of people as the hurriedly got out of the way was quite amusing to Sasri.
The ship rapidly sped up as they exited the hangar and onto the run way, as the ship took off into the air, the whole ship felt the sudden jerk. Sasri wasn't kidding about her lack of finesse, shooting was her specialty not flying.

When looking back at the hangar flashing blue lights could be noticed steadily going off, as small fighters started flying out one after another.
Sasri sped up, "Vela, look for the nearest jump point," Sasri hit a button on the dashboard, and a red light turned on- indicating the cloaking device was on.
["DEVIL IF YOU PULL OVER NOW, YOUR CREW WILL BE TREATED AS INNOCENT"]
The blaring announcement was being blasted from the nearest ship to them, in answer Sasri took a nose dive to the ground, still cloaked.
The sudden upturn, in the opposite direction that led them into flying over the hangar and into the city- they were now climbing upwards in a sharp incline. So that they could cruise over the tall buildings.
She let out a sigh as the cruisers continued in their previous direction, rather than their current one.
"Sorry kids, I can't turn myself in, ever.
How's that location coming Vela?
I think we're safe enough to lock on to it now."
She took the moment to look at her crewmates, taking in their reactions- gauging how close to a heart attack they had come.

Vela felt as though she was about to be sick, and not just because of the turbulent piloting of the woman sitting beside her. Obviously she knew the work she would be doing was dangerous, but she had not anticipated this much excitement so early on. These people were clearly after Sasri, and Vela had a feeling she was not about to pull over. There was a single moment where Vela considered regret for the decisions that had led her here, but decided against it. This was her choice, and these people were counting on her.

Quickly she got herself together and scanned the maps for the nearest jump point. There! "Found it. Plugging in the coordinates now," she assured Sasri in her calmest, most level voice. Deep breaths, Vela.

Mace was almost completely unaffected by the turbulence. They had gone through much worse then bad piloting. Right now their left eye was glazed over with a blue hue. To them the world around them looked like just the cyberware. To everyone else it was just the panels of the ship. They looked around them making sure every part of the ship was okay. They didn't want anything to malfunction, and if it did they wanted to be prepared. Mace reached down and picked a piece of paper up they took out a pencil from their purse and started calculating probabilities. What would happen if this? What could they do if that? You know technical stuff. It took them a moment to write it all out. They leaned down and took another paper from the giant stack Aki had provided. Seems they were good for something. Only one side of the page was used; what a waste of paper. What a waste. Why have paper anymore? So outdated. They brushed it off and started writing the results out on the paper; neater and clearer. Once they had finished they nodded and then folded the paper carefully putting it into their purse along with the pencil. They lifted their hand and held onto Daisy; pulling her from their head and putting her into their lap. They didn't want her to go flying. So far she had managed to hold on, but they couldn't take that chance.

Daisy tried to squirm out of Mace's hand, but they were stronger. Daisy was put into their lap. She made a mad little sound and turned away from Mace. What a moody little thing.

Aki held on to his chair tightly in fear. He didn't say anything however as it probably wouldn't be good if the crew knew their droid was scared, so he kept it to himself and tried to focus on other things. After picking up the datapad he had given to Marcus and looked through it a bit he decided that if he didn't have anything to do he might as well conserve battery power for latter and power off. So, he powered off in the chair.

Mace Gladewine
Mace became excruciatingly bored. They sighed and then huffed and then groaned. Being ever so dramatic. They leaned back and looked down at Daisy. Whom was still pouting angrily on their lap. So Mace decided to check back up on the ship. They lean back further into the chair and close their eyes. Projecting their soul out of their body. All around them was Machinery of all types and shapes and sizes; all wonders on their own. Mace took a breath, well figuratively. Technically in the state they were currently in; they couldn't breath or have a nose at all for that matter. They started through their work now walking, well more like floating, through the halls. Looking and checking and prodding things as they went. If something was out of place they wouldn't be able to do anything like this. They'd have to mark it down and then come back in their body. Fix it up and stuff. One of the benefits of doing this. Was not only that they could do it quickly, but they could do it without being seen. Only one who could see spirits and souls could see them, but that was an ability not many had. So Mace went along their path unworried.

Until they came along something odd. Near the cargo bay; which held not much besides a few weapons and necessary things. Mace slowly crept up to what looked to be the parts of a machine. And seeing that they probably didn't have a dead outdated android laying in pieces in the cargo; Mace went back to their body to check. They didn't plan on telling anyone; as they don't know for how long the thing was going to stay there. Mace had no idea what they were getting themselves into, so they started mentally preparing themselves for what was ahead. It could be a number of equally unusual things. Sadly they didn't have time to write it out. Once they got back to their body they got back in and secured Daisy in their bag. They tried to stand, but were restrained by the seatbelts. Mace sighed and removed them standing now with ease. They waisted no time in rushing off in the direction their soul had gone. They had to carefully retrace their steps, well movements, or they might become lost.

Once they got to the Cargo hold they stopped to take a breath. They needed to be prepared for the worst. So they took out a handgun from their bag. It was small, but it was all they could get passed security. They made their face harden to look stricter and pressed the button to open the door. The door slid open and Mace took a few swift steps forward. They had their handgun held firmly in their hand in front of them and swung back and forth looking around. To their surprise but what an old looking Human Cyborg. Mace was almost to surprised to keep their composure. They let a moment of surprise flash over them, but just a moment. They held the gun firmly and held it to a position where it would be the most deadly. "Who are you? And what are you doing here?" Their voice was as demanding as their eyes. They softly glared at the man and waited for a response. Ready for almost anything.

Who are you? And what are you doing here?"

Milanko Hanak..

..who had been hunched over and completely vulnerable, nearly left his oil-stained engineers' jumpsuit at the harsh, unknown voice, blindly grasped at his blaster on the shelf above him, and popped off a shot into the cargo floor just inches from the girls feet. In the movies, he knew, this is usually the part where the audience goes "whooaaa!" while he does some other crazy maneuvers. However, he's over one-hundred-sixty years old, so that shot was an accident, and he followed it up by just standing there in shock and confusion. Then he leveled the blaster with hers, registering a few things as his mind caught up: firstly that the voice belonged to a girl, he wasn't sure how old, but she looked pissed and she had a gun, so that was good enough. Secondly, that shot probably alerted the crew, so he only had a few moments to work with. Finally, he realized, his blaster was still out-stretched and pointed at the girl's chest.

With a sheepish smile, he gingerly set it aside on the crate he'd been trying to open, and raised his hands. A ceremony he'd done enough times to start charging people for it now. "Uhh, sorry about that. I'm Matthew Daiko, your substitute pilot. Procedure says we need to be armed at all times." He tapped the emblem on his jumpsuit, which really meant nothing, and nodded his head genially towards the back of the room. "My job is to check on the ship's thrusters and make sure your crew can fly smoothly through your first mission in one piece. After that, I'll trade out with a droid, and be on my way. I'm guessing, despite that awesome turbulence, we haven't hit the jump-point yet? That's good.. Love the overalls, by the way, very retro. You must be.. the mechanic?"

He was comfortable enough to lean on a nearby shelf-post, crossing his arms and giving the girl enough pause to respond correctly. He was less a technician and more a mechanic, and less that than a boneified pilot, certainly not a substitute. He also knew that the outfit of a mechanic didn't make the mechanic, he just had to make a guess and hope it stuck. And he hadn't been down here to "check on or make sure" of anything.

Truth be told, a week ago he'd been ready to tackle his Stage One assignments, and was working through them, when he was approached by.. someone. This someone just so happened to know the specs of Milanko's starship, down to how he cycled the fuel and what polish he used on the landing gear. They also caught him unawares outside a bar with a knife to his back and confided soft whispers in his ear, telling him Lady Slavka was growing impatient, and he should 'get out to see her more often'. The psychopathic murder-queen had found him.

So what did he do? What he always does: he noped right out of there. He called in the authorities on his own ship, sacrificing the vessel to lose the trackers Slavka's minions had planted on it. He also managed to lose his stalker in the hangar, and boarded the ship; of course, not through the loading ramp, but in a tiny space between the landing gears, and up through the floor of the cargo bay. No doubt Slavka was counting on him to make a dash, but Milanko really didn't have much choice now. It was less likely for her to try and take on a registered band of pirates than a lone pilot in the streets. And if he could get off at the next stop, undetected, he could send someone to nab his ship and get gone.. Maybe.

Sasri
What she saw the reactions from her crew mates, at first she was greatly amused, she wasn't exactly a nice person per se if you will.
But when she saw Mace suddenly get up and leave, she was quite concerned, so she did what any rational person would do and flew them out of the atmosphere and into space as quickly as possible. Probably didn't feel the best on peoples stomachs, but all in all, it was more gentle than what they had previously gone through.
When the gunshot sounded, her mind was made up, as they were now in space; "James, I need you to follow Vela's coordinates, evade all hostiles, and fly us safe." Sasri then unbuckled herself, as her seat suck into the floor and Vela's moved to the center, her screen moving with her, and a new station appearing where Vela had been. James.
The AI flickered on, the mo cap image of her Space Mom always kind of irked her, but James designed the AI himself utilizing his own qualities. So she supposed the image made sense. "At your service Madam," his gaze went to Vela, certainly deep in the uncanny valley, "And you are Vela?"
Sasri was already making her way down the hall way that she had seen Mace go down, but soon got confused on where exactly she had gone.
Until she started hearing a male voice below her...cargo, she mentally slapped herself for not being thorough enough, as she began making her way there, her pace gradually speeding up as time went by.
She got to a corner point where she could see Mace, and stopped keeping absolutely silent, and moved her hand to signal to Mace but not out in the open.

As she pulled her blaster from her belt, from what she saw Mace was pointing hers, so she assumed the intruder was doing the same.
So she was going to attempt to approach this with her brain for once, and not get her crew mate murdered.
So, she waited.

Vela-

A few things happened in quick succession that left Vela feeling a little breathless. First, the ship lurched upwards as Sasri flew them out of the atmosphere. Then there was a sound... a gunshot? Vela gulped. Before she could process that, their captain summoned an incredibly advanced AI, James, she said, and then she left, presumably to investigate the noise.

Okay, okay, Vela coached herself internally. Now was not the time to panic. She'd worked with AIs before, mostly in flight simulations at school. This she could handle. Best to focus on things she could control. "Yes sir," she answered when he addressed her. "Vela Neeri, at your service. How can I help?"

James
The AI looked at the...being in front of him, even though his functioning power was ahead of what it reasonably should be, the draw back of that was that he was essentially a small fragment of the original James.
"Lock onto the coordinates, you are my eyes Ms.Neeri, I'm here to help you avoid hostiles and warn of malfunctions." That being said he currently wasn't feeling any issues, his gaze flicked to the other AI, a beat of concern flashed over him but that was merely the human speaking.
But as far as he was concerned he had only been cleared to interact with Vela.

When the old man shot at their feet; Mace didn't even flinch. They took cautious steps forward, but kept some distance seeing as he had a weapon. As soon as his hand reached for his blaster; they were put in fight mode. They didn't care for what he had to say. He shot at them, and they were going to make sure he was secure. They smiled at his cybernetics. That would make this easier for them, and perhaps not so painful for him ....... or more painful. If he resisted capture; then they would have to use what was handed to them. Once the male made it evident that he was not going to attack again. Mace decided to make their move. Inching forward ever so slightly; as he rambled on about something. Then she saw something out of the corner of their eye. It was Sasri; the captain so to speak. They saw that she was holding her blaster too. They looked back to the man before them; weighing their options.

It would be best to bound him; they had decided. They lowered their weapon putting it back into their bag. Still quite accessible if they needed. They hoped that he wouldn't resist, and that they didn't need to hurt him. They played along with his charade; giving him that false sense of security. They smiled and laughed. "Oh good. Sorry you startled me. I didn't know we were going to have a second pilot." They said in a chipper tone. Mace made their way around him looking around the cargo hold. Once they were behind him they turned to face his back. They reached into their bag, and in one fluid motion bound the man. They started by taking the rope from their purse. Then next thing they did so fast; that not even Mace had much time to react. In one swift movement they had the mans wrists bound and his face pressed against the floor. Their eyes widened but they didn’t let go. They called out to the girl in the hall, “Sasri!”

Sasri was impressed by Mace's technique and couldn't help a proud smile flashing across her face before it disappeared. She went to stand in front of the man, her arms crossed across her chest. "Explain, before I tire of you."
She was already thinking of how to safely dump the man into space, maybe use his corpse for shooting practice. Her eyes lit deviously, she hadn't been able to blow anyone up in awhile.
She shook the thoughts away to inspect him more closely, her tail whipping side to side subconsciously, he certainly hadn't been on
the crew log. Especially a pilot, it was actually a key point she had taken issue with when she received the crew's information.

good good, ever wanted a reboot?
Well I think of different campaigns often, but this particular one probably not. Since I really want to do a dice campaign at some point soon, I was making some homebrew race character sheets for it and everything.

Hey whenever you do get that out. Make sure to give me a shout. I’d love to join. I’ve been wanting to try out a dice campaign.
