Back to school. Melanie walked up the pavement in her cheerleader uniform, the too short skirt swaying around her hips as she walked up the walkway to the entrance. Her skin was lightly tanned after her efforts to darken it during summer vacation, and her hair was blonder than ever from the rays as well. She was ecstatic to get back to school. Obviously not for academics or her snotty teachers attitudes, but she did truly belong in this scene. Among her friends and peers.

She had barely made it through last year though, maybe she should try to ask someone to tutor her. She wondered if there was any brains in some of the guys on the football team. There was always the more nerdy types, but she was more reluctant to ask one of them for help.

Mitchell

Mitchell was running late by his own standards, meaning he was arriving on time to school, along with the crowd of other students which moved around him like a wave of some gooey substance. Slow, yet all eager to get somewhere. He was equally eager to get somewhere; class.

He pulled a well loved copy of Pride and Prejudice out of his shoulder bag and began to read while he walked to pass the time. There wasn't anything quite like immersing one's self in the world of a novel to pass the time spend in crowded hallways. It made for little to no eye contact with those who might find such contact to be a challenge. Mitchell liked that he could usually go unnoticed in a large mass of students. Unfortunately today was not his lucky day, as he felt himself collide with another person, falling back onto the tiles with an indignant groan of discomfort.

Aubrey woke up from he gold colored iPhone laying on her dresser, Aubrey yawned and removed the silk blankets off of her as she turned off her alarm on the phone. Today was finally back to school, back to her castle to rule yet another year. Aubrey quickly took a nice hot steamy shower then slipped on a black skirt that was a little higher than her knees, wore a pink floral crop top to go with it and black heels. Aubrey put on her bracelets and such and applied her makeup.

Aubrey made her way down the stair case to her convertible. Once she got in Aubrey drove off to school, or "her castle" as she likes to call it.

Finally after the car ride Aubrey made her into the school. Once in the school she walked confidently down the halls, guys checking her out, whistles and girls waving, hoping this year they can be in her clique. Aubrey finally found Melanie and gave her a hug, "Hey, girl! How was your summer!"

Celia

Streaks of jet black hair waved themselves through the rushing wind that splashed onto Celia's warm skin, she shivered a bit but continued smoothly swerving on her shining maroon colored bike knowing that she was just a few minutes late for the first bell which really wasn't bad, unfortunately her anxiousness got the best of her, having the poor teen ride down the road at the speed of light.

She arrived at the school's gates, quickly hopping off of the leather seat and onto the rough concrete path, her brown satchel bumped against her hip as she ran right into the giant crowd flowing into the academy like a school of fish, of course it was like this after summer break but she didn't mind the new set of "freshies", as long as they kept themselves In line she was fine with that.

Celia slithered her way through the passing groups, finally making her way to a hall that was thankfully not being abducted yet and walked over to an empty locker, one that she would now be taking full ownership of, She took out a post-it note and gently sticked it to the inside of the locker writing the word "taken" on it with a thin sharpie.

Melanie had found her new locker for the year and was busy sticking up pictures that had been taken down from her locker the year before. When she heard a familiar voice her face lit up in a smile though, and she turned around with a squeal. “Oh my god, I missed you so much, you look great,” Melanie exclaimed as she turned around to give Aubrey a hug. This was the girl that she generally referred to as her best friend, they hung out a lot at school. Aubrey had a way to know so many people, and she always looked good. Melanie loved to hang around her.

“My summer was good, mostly working on my tan,” she said and held out her arms to demonstrate.

Then she turned back to the locker and stuck up a picture of the two of them together on the inside of her locker among other pictures. “What about your summer?”

"God made man and man, and made kings, And the kings rule man and they bring the suffering, And the people rise up, they see it as a riot, They wanna have control so you cant be self-reliant. They make your world and don't make an alliance They sell your soul they will buy it for a dime, so they can make a profit."

The stiff Lynchfield breeze brushed up against Craig's greasy hair as he stepped along the cracked and chipped sidewalk. His satchel slung to it's side. In it, were his everyday necessities which Included a copy of 'The Omen', Hair product, a comb, some textbooks, and a hunting knife despite being banned from campus. The crowd of people stirred around the entrance of school. Craig gritted his teeth, prepared to take on the onslaught of boys and girls who feared/hated him last year.

"I'm Back asshats."

Like he always did last year, Craig took the school's back entrance as it often had less students to crowd the Halls. As Craig's shoes clicked down the nearly empty hall as his whistles echoed. He whistled to the tune to 'California Dreaming'. In his hands he carried his favorite book and his holy book, 'Rosemary's Baby.'

Lane was not ecstatic for school to start up again, classes were boring, people suck, and just having to get up in the morning was awful. But he was thrilled to get back into the theater program, he's participated in every play and musical in every school he's ever attended, making him find his home on stage. He leaned on his cane while he walked, not paying much attention to the movement around him. His music was loud enough for the people around him to hear it. It was of course show tunes.

Kylie grinned, shifting her knapsack to the other shoulder as she parked her bike. Pausing to make sure that she haad all her belongings, she sat underneath the awning and pulled out a comic book to pass the time until the bell rang. This had been her morning ritual last year, and it was the same this year. She always had her binder, calculator, laptop, two pencils, her bright red glasses case, a pack of gum, and a teddy bear. Don't ask about the teddy bear. She won't answer. Just know that it wasn't 16 year old Kylie who needed it. She was now ready for her first day. Ding-Dong, Ding-Dong. Ding-Dong, Ding-Dong! She stood up, nearly losing her balance as her glasses slipped down her nose. Grabbing a piece of the aforementioned gum, she shoved it in her mouth and rushed towards the door. She wanted to beat the rush. However, there was no such luck, and she managed to run into eight- nope, now it was nine, people. She soon spotted the kid who was always reading a book. After deciding not to stow her stuff in her locker (Altough, once she aquired a few textbooks... and maybe a spare set of gym clothes....), she strode over to him. He seemed realy cool, and she wanted to strike ip a conversation with him. But everytime she tried, someone else came out. But today was her day. "Hey!" she said brightly, snapping her gum. "I'm Kylie. And you?"

Nicholai scooped the last bit of grits from the bowl and fed them to Liam. "There you go buddy i'm glad your feeling better", He went and put the bowl in the sink then returned to Liam to help him out the highchair. Nicholai was exhausted, and his face showed it. Liam woke up early from a nightmare and when he calmed down he was awake for the rest of the day. Nicholai smiled at Liam as he put him on the floor, it was already 6:30. He ran upstairs and jumped in the shower then quickly hoped out and got dressed. His room was a mess with clothes and toys. He walked over to his drum set and started playing. He was only about 10 minutes into playing when he heard his mom call "your going to be late". he chuckled to himself "many tattoos and a 15 month old son later, she still looks out for me". He went down stairs and scooped Liam up and starting smothering him in kisses. Liams sequels of laughter filled the house. Nicholai laughed and fell to the couch holding Liam "I love you buddy, I will see you when I get home!". He sat him on the floor grabbed his jacket. Looked at his mom who was standing there grinning from ear to ear, gave her a kiss on the cheek "I love you mom". Out the door he went. He got in his car and headed to school. He pulled into his parking spot and made his way out the car. He looked around everyone was starting to pull in. He lit up a cigarette took a few puffs and dropped it to the ground. Back to school already. He was here on time, at least that was good. He didn't have any friends to look forward to really. Just boring classes and rude teachers. Great.

Coraline was woken up by kisses from her dog freddie. Coraline smiled and gave Freddie a little kiss on the head, "How's my little freddie of fluff!?" Freddie barked and gave Coraline more kisses. Coraline laughed and put Freddie gently down on the white colored carpet. Today was the day back to hell, where she Coraline has to deal with, bitchy stuck up popular people and school work. Coraline made her way to the shower and took a nice warm shower, the smells of the shampoo made Coraline smile, she loved anything that smelled good. Once out of the shower Coraline changed into a a long Nirvana tee shirt which hanged on her like a dress, then Coraline put on a leather jacket over it, for pants since her shirt was like a dress Coraline wore her black ripped stocking with black platform boots. She then did her usual makeup, mostly black eyeshadow, and went downstairs.

Coraline's mom was already down in the kitchen making breakfast, Coraline knew how this usually went down.

"Hi honey, you want some bacon with eggs?" Her mom asked as she set the table for the rest of her family.

"No mom..." Coraline said as she took a water bottle from the fridge.

"Come on... You have to eat something remember your doctor also said you had to." Her mom said as she was setting the table.

Coraline rolled her eyes, "Bye mom..." And left before the situation got out of hand.

Once Coraline got to school she walked down the hallways. She was never the type of girl to be noticed, and when she was it was because some popular bitch was judging her. Coraline didn't mind though... Its a temporary life. Coraline reminds herself. Coraline finally found her new locker for the school year and began to set it up while her earbuds were in and she was listening to "Still Take You Home" by Arctic Monkeys.

Colton cut the engine that stopped the blare of Jason Aldean on his radio and hopped out of his lifted truck. Everyone seemed to stare as his boots hit the gravel in the parking lot. He closed the door and grabbed his bag out the back, there was also a large bale of hay tied up in the back still. His jeans were a bit dirty from this mornings work and quick practice on the horses while his black shirt hid any dirt on him, his camouflage hat on the other hand had seen better days. He was running a bit behind but managed to get to school right on time. He sprayed some body spray on himself before returning it to his bag and making his way up the stairs of the school. He walked in and found the way to his locker. He had to remember to talk to the coach when he had the chance. Until then he put his things he didn't need in his locker, and made his way to the vending machine for a bottle of water. He looked around to see if anyone he knew was here yet.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_11/1985_lifted_chevy_silverado_44__s_16__lift_2_lgw.jpg.1f87308b75595cfd95e2655609059e97.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="85819" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_11/1985_lifted_chevy_silverado_44__s_16__lift_2_lgw.jpg.1f87308b75595cfd95e2655609059e97.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Mitchell

He managed to bring himself to his feet, cradling his book in both hands to see if it was damaged in the fall. "I'm Mitchell." he paused, carefully placing a scrap of paper into his book before closing it so he wouldn't lose his place. "Nice to meet you Kylie." He supposed it was nice to meet someone who was friendly toward him, unlike the usual jeers of "nerd" or "loser" or "pathetic" he got from more popular students.

Meeting the bright haired girl's gaze, he gave her a small sheepish smile. "Another year, another span of time to dodge spitballs and thinly veiled threats, right?" his large eyes darted around the crowd, hoping none of the usual suspects overheard his comment, but the coast seemed to be clear. Well, it might be nice to walk to class with someone else for once. Strength in numbers and such.

He continued to observe the girl beside him. She had a comic under her arm, a pop-culture looking t-shirt and she seemed fairly bubbly. Mitchell couldn't help but be surprised at the fact she didn't seem more popular. Even with a nerdy hobby, most of the outcasts of the school were well...more socially uncomfortable. That, or clearly against everything the popular kids stood for.

While waiting for Aubrey’s answer she noticed a familiar face walk up by the lockers and smiled at him with a set of brilliant white teeth. All the cheerleaders had gotten familiar with many of the jocks, but Colton was always the one to stand out with his quarterback position, and not to forget that he was one of the most handsome on the team as well. “Hey Colton,” she called and lifted a hand in greeting. Then she closed up her locker. “Aiming for being the quarterback again this year?”

Aubrey looks at her tan and smiles, "Oooo, looking good, Mel." Aubrey continued to smile and answered her question, "Well, my summer, I went to Italy for a month, saw a bunch of hot italian guys, but didn't have sex with them, didn't even talk to them, mainly just stayed with my family, I enjoyed it. Then for the rest of the summer I stayed at my daddy's country club by the pool. Also working on my tan." Aubrey giggles then looks over at Colten who Melanie is now chatting with, Aubrey stays and listens to the conversation.

Celia

Celia gently closed the locker, slowly turning over to hear the soft voices of conversation echo through the now empty halls, she looked around at the building taking note of the chipped paint on the ceiling and several tiny holes in the walls due to the constant pinning of posters, she slumped down onto the cold floor noticing there was still time to chill out in the halls. Celia's hands fumbled through her satchel, quickly taking out a rubix cube, the halls seemed to be empty so playing a small puzzle would be an easy way to pass the time.

She twisted and turned the sides of the cube meticulously working at the puzzle, she had spent several times working on the square, later being rewarded with the satisfaction of solving it. Celia ran her fingers through her silky hair feeling a bit fed up with herself so she hopped to her feet, walking down the halls looking for some familiar faces or new students to tease.

Colton smiled as he saw Melanie. "Well hello pretty lady" his thick accent shining through as he walked over to them. "Of course I am, this school has to have the best". "Of course I'm going to have to balance with rodeo again this year". He turned to Aubrey tilting his hat "Howdy Aubrey". He gave her his award winning grin known to melt a few hearts. "So how was y'alls summer?" He leaned against the lockers.

Carlisle groaned hearing her alarm clock go off. Turning the sound off she sat up and sighed running her fingers through her short bedhair then got out of bed. She took a quick shower and looked inside her closet to see what she was going to wear. Shrugging she just threw on some clothes and headed downstairs out the house to school. Finally arriving at the dreaded place Carlisle parked her black impala and exited the vehicle making sure to grab her bag and board out before locking the door. Taking her earbuds out she popped them in her ears and hopped on her board then pushed off heading towards the school. She entered the hallways of the school not caring whoever was in the way as she continued down the halls to her locker. There were responses of "Hey!" and "Watch it!" but she just flipped them off and continued down the hall before stopping at her locker. She let her music go on as she took the things she needed out of her locker.

With his head above many of the others students, Craig noticed that there had still been some time before classes would start. With nothing else better to do, he decided his best course of action would be to visit the school's library where he start his new book. The school's library was a paradise for him. It was quiet, almost nobody ever visited outside of three or four social leftovers, and due to the fact that the only monitor was the old frail librarian, which made the back of the library a perfect place to smoke when he felt like it. He stumbled through the crowd of disgruntled yet exited students, his eyes rolling as he was forced to stop every four seconds due to another obstruction in the hallways.

As he stepped into the library he was greeted with the beautiful presence of silence. Before retiring to the back of the library, he looked to the librarian and uttered a short and sweet "Bonjour." The old lady waved politely as Craig scuffled to the table toward the back corner. With his feet on the table, Craig opened up the book and begun to read.

Aubrey smiled and waved at Colten, "Hey, Colten." Aubrey flipped some of her hair from her shoulder, its a habit, whether she's flirting or not, "Well, my summer was good I guess..." Aubrey said while checking her nails that were recently polished, "Went to Italy for a bit then hung out at my dads country club." Aubrey looked up from her nails, "You know, nothing much. How about you?"

Colton laughed "Wow that's a whole lot of nothing much". He shrugged "Practiced football and my rodeos, worked on the farm, entered and won some rodeos, the usual". He chuckled And looked down and his dirty boots and pants "Was up early this morning already working".

Jessaline

Jess woke up to a
massive hangover. When she stumbled into the hallways of Lynchfield High, she was still suffering from a major headache. "Oh jesus fuck." Somehow, by the Graces of God, Jess made it to her locker. Thank god she'd been given the same one, or else whichever kid that got it would find some of the weirdest shit she'd hadn't bothered to take home. She reached in her for her emergency store of long-lasting, forever-fresh hangover-juice. Mixed with just a tinge of vodka, y'know, because alcohol makes everything better.

It always seemed to run out though. She never understood why. No biggie, she'd just restock.

She downed half the bottle and immediately felt a lot better. She closed her eyes took a deep breath.
So much better. Jess glanced around the hallway, still taking sips from the bottle, observing the crowd this year. It proved to difficult to pick out anyone in particular in the throng of people, but she noticed a few unfamiliar faces here and there, though it was likely she just didn't remember or care about who they were.

Jess spotted three more familiar faces standing on the opposite side of the hallway. She recognised the profiles of Colton, Melanie and Aubrey. She strode over, drink in hand, and smiled in greeting.

"Thats nice, good luck with the football, and I would never have the tolerance to wake up early in the morning to just to be outside so... You get some points there." Aubrey laughed and noticed Jessaline walking by, "Hey, Jessaline, nice seeing you again after the long summer." Aubrey smiled then looked down at Jessaline's drink, "Another hangover?"

Colton laughed "Yeah it's a lot of work, and thanks". He noticed Jessaline "Hey" He tilted his hat to her. He laughed a bit looking at her hang over juice. He had a flash back of a bonfire he had last year, Jessaline got hammered. "You ever gonna cool down?" He asked jokingly.

you can just call her Jess, if it makes things easier haha :33

Jess took another sip from her drink. "When do I not have a hangover, Aubrey? Nice to see you too, though. Cute nails. I take your summer went spectacularly." The blonde's eyes darted to the jock and grinned at Colton in response.

"Making fun of my drink? Well, your hat is still tacky as ever." she said, waving it at him in a jokingly offended manner. "And I," Jess took another drink for effect, "will never cool down. Which reminds me, I think I might just..."

Fiddling with her phone, the sound of a text message being sent out was heard from her phone, and in unison, every phone in the school received a text.

Jess
them
Party at my house, 8pm. You should know the way.?-J

(let's just pretend everyone in school knows her address, mmkay?)

She looked up at her companions and winked.
