The next few hours of the voyage to Malalikia passed rather easily. After Ezro was sure the Al would be okay on his own to move around and perform basic functions, he retreated to his quarters to take care of some business before their landing.

In the dark room, he pulled out the Kommandants Date Pod before plugging it into a holographic projector in his private quarters that was built into his desk. A digital wall of files came up, and Ezro began looking through them all to see what sort of information the dead bastard could provide. Most of it was miscellaneous stuff, irrelevant documents, a small cache of porn, but some files that caught his eye were the following: The Conquered, Cyber Combat Initiative, Project Hades, and Project Zeus. All of which posed some questions he needed answered to.

First he started off by looking at The Conquered, due to it being the largest file size and its name gave a foreboding feel to it. Upon opening up the file, Ezro’s horrified eyes were greeted by a plethora of sub files all with the names of planets and moons labeling them. Xandar, Relliam, Ninta, Quelz, Aivatar, Nimeria, Wesheil, Tymar, Bhalaja, Terra, Kyiv, Kygo, Miahi, Sovento, Ritz, Mono, Pyro, Cryo, Requiem, Dona, Mytellica, Pinteran, and Biocon to name a few. The list was massive, due to the every expansive amount of civilizations being forced into the ITF’s control. Each sub file had hundreds of videos, images, and voice clips of the methods they had to use to gain the planets indoctrination. Some were more peaceful than others, and some were straight up savagery. How these bastards hadn’t been outed as murderers and terrorists, he’d never know. Obviously they were all too good at hiding their footsteps and actions. Ezro said a prayer in his heart for the redemption of these depraved civilizations, and out of grace he renamed the planet list to The Fallen.

The Cyber Combat Initiative was opened next, and revealed more technical documentation as well as a log of the projects start up and plans. The ITF planned on creating a Cyborg unit of soldiers to further increase the strength and versatility of their armies. Two test subjects were to begin the project, and if they proved effective and perfect on every level then the project would add more and more soldiers to the platoon until they had a fray of unstoppable creations. All built to conquer planets single handedly due to their tough exterior and perfected combat skills. Fit with the most powerful and lightweight weapons, they’d be a one man army. But this whole thing would be at the cost of emotion, and the process of being converted to a Cyborg had a high fatality risk and even then if the process was completed there was no guarantee that exosuit would accept the pilot. With all of this information, Ezro was awfully scared to see what the next two files had.

Project Hades, this file would bring the answers that Ezro was looking for when it came to the Cambion. Sure enough, the massive machine was the first test subject to be a success in the Cyber Initiative. There were images and blueprints of the model, and from what he could tell there was no weak points or definitive ways to take it down save for brute force like they had used. Even then, this subject was apparently still in the testing phases and didn’t have any weapons equipped. It was still adjusting it’s physical combat and perfecting it, so the captain couldn’t even begin to imagine the destruction this machine would cause in its completed state.

There was also a time log available, and upon opening it up Ezro saw another list, this time of test subjects start at 001 and working their way down however many more there were. A little over two hundred people had been tested and put through the painful process of being transformed into an unholy union of flesh and metal. Some of the subject numbers had video clips attached to them, and Ezro viewed soldiers of differing races and origins being absolutely massacred. Some of them he even knew at one point or another. The gist of the procedure was that their appendages from the elbow and knee down would be removed and instead replaced with plug like machinery that would attach into the exosuits and form a semipermanent bond. The video clips only contained the moments when the procedures went wrong. Most of them simply died from the overwhelming blood loss, others weren’t so fortunate. Wiring was also laced in the body to pair muscle movement with suit movement, and all of it run by the human brain. This provided complications were malfunctions would occur in the cerebral implant, causing combustion, electrocution, or the subject would go permanently brain dead from the stress. Other complications came from the subjects being installed to the suit. Should their body be incompatible with the suits requirements or the operation not have been performed correctly, they’d be fried like an egg. Next trying to tweak the paring with the brain was also a major difficulty. In some videos, exosuits resembling the Cambion would try moving around. One example was subject 056 who tried twisting at the waist to test rotary movement at the hips, only for the Cambion suit to twist a fully 180 degrees around and snap their spinal cord. Broken shoulders, hips, and necks followed a similar process, and the screams were all horrifying. Some subjects even went totally mad and literally destroyed themselves.

With every dead subject there was a story paired of how they tragically perished in combat, fighting for the freedom of their system. This confirmed the notion that these soldiers were forced into the project, and didn’t join of their own volition. But it only made sense after all, who would want to lose their humanity purely for power? Especially when it was power that you couldn’t really enjoy?

All of the perished subjects were highlighted in Red, but the final subject in the list #227 was a bright green that shone out amongst the sea of the dead. It’s time stamp was from a couple years ago, and it had extra text that said ‘SUBJECT SUCCESS.’ A second timeline was couple with the subject file that showed the testing phases of the machine. Yesterday was apparently Project Hades’ first day in the public eye, which made sense given that it must’ve taken forever to calibrate and fix everything. But now that Project Hades was fully programmed to move around, the date could be copied to the second subject. Speaking of which....

Ezro was curious to see if Project Zeus, and upon opening it up he found date all similar to that of Project Hades’. The blue prints were different, and it had plans for different weapons and specialties. But it was still a weapon of mass destruction. The timeline of the subjects was opened up, and subject 001 for Project Zeus was performed the day after Project Hades was deemed a successful paring. So the search Project Zeus has only been active as long as Project Hades has been active. There was no green label for a completed subject, and at the very bottom of the list there was big Red Bold text that read ‘SUBJECT NOT FOUND.’ For some reason, these words chilled Ezro to the core.

Snapping back to reality, Ezro realized that his reading session had taken a couple hours and by this point they were on the verge of arrival at the planet. So as a final step, he copied all the data to his own data pod and sent it out to his crew members with a tag line “You all might want to read this.”

Jacen sat in the pilot seat as he started planetary entrance. He flipped on the intercom. "This is your pilot speaking. We are entering Malalikia's atmosphere. Please fasten your seat belts. It's going to be a bumpy ride." He said as turbulence hit the Titan repeatedly. From the left console he heard his data pad go off twice. He breathed as he eased the ship in. "I'm a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar."

During breakfast, Sil had plenty of time to clear her head. The Sauphira intel and Corr had her momentarily distracted, but she was getting back to her old ways now and realized she needed one thing. I have to kill something, she thought as she headed back to her room after breakfast was done and the kitchen was cleaned.

Specifically, she needed to hunt. She used to fish a lot when she was younger. Whales. Sharks. Giant quids and octopi. Her father taught her to use spears and harpoon guns, the way her people had done it for thousands of years. Then her parents got killed and the ITF took over and built a big glass dome over her hometown and drained all the water out of it and... yeah, things change. Such is life, right?

Sil grabbed her gun and knife and took them down to engineering for some calibrations. All Tymari weapons were designed to fire under water, obviously, but her XG-55 hadn't been submerged in months. She kept the gun cleaned and maintained, but needed to make sure the seals and power supply were up to par. She had no idea what sea creatures she would find on Malalikia and the last thing she wanted was to come face to face with a vicious predator and have her gun short out or misfire.

Her knife, on the other hand... she always trusted that knife.

The hours went by like minutes. She was putting the last pieces of her rifle back together when Ezro's message appeared on her datapod, followed almost immediately by Corr's announcement. Sil slung the weapon over her shoulder and tucked her knife into her waistband. She said a quick 'thanks,' to Ollie for letting her use his workspace, and then headed to the elevator, so she could reach the bridge.

Corr landed the ship. He looked over his shoulder and saw Sil enter the bridge. "Folks we have arrived. Enjoy your vacation" He said before flipping off the intercom. He let out a breath as he picked up his data pod. He frowned as he saw two unread messages. He opened the captains one first. He turned pale as he skimmed threw it's contents. "So that's their plan." He mumbled.

He opened the second message it was from an unknown sender. The message was only one sentence but it felt as if someone stabbed him.

You're a tuff man to track down Jaden Tyrell.

Sil stood over Jacen's shoulder, observing the landing procedure and the planet's terrain... but also wondering what she should should say. Maybe she shouldn't say anything at all. After the way she had treated him earlier, she felt compelled to... apologize, maybe? No! Apologize for what? She hadn't done anything wrong!

He flirted with me, I rebuffed him. that's how these things go. It's no big deal, she told herself. So why was she still thinking about it?

She glanced down, watching his datapod over his shoulder as he scrolled through Ezro's message. Damn, so that's what the Cambion was? She had a feeling such a monster wouldn't be the only one of its kind. But the message he opened next put a frown on her face. It wasn't the message itself that bothered her, but Jacen's --or should I say Jaden's-- reaction to it.

"Should've killed them," she said under her breath, her voice as cold as an arctic wind. "Never too late to try, I suppose. If you don't tell the captain, i will."

He jumped a little bit. "It's not an Alpha." He said realizing that Sil was looking over his shoulder. "Our codenames are family based." He said. "For example my code name was Little Brother." He looked at it. "This is someone else." He shook his head. Trying to think of the name
He quickly typed who
Who is this?

Within a matter of seconds Watch Tower responded.

A friend. For obvious reasons I wish to keep my Identity a secret.
A small mechanical spider appeared on the screen.
An Alpha track. There is one on the Titan.

Jacen gulped. "I need to leave." He said.

"Anyone can make up a name or plant a tracker and then try to win your trust by telling you it's there," Sil said. She had been reading over his shoulder the whole time and didn't like where any of this was going. "Friend or not, I don't trust this person. They have you off balance and they will prey on that, Jacen. You aren't going anywhere without me."

Jacen looked at her and nodded. "Alright." He said trying to regain some control over his body. "Thank you Sil." He said. He reread the message. "We should look for this tracker." He said as he brought the image back up. "It looks like it's Alpha tech. Or at least an updated version." He said muling it over.

"It has to be on the outside of the ship... right?" Sil said. God, she hoped it was on the outer hull. If it was inside, that meant there was a mole on board. Or one of those Alpha assholes had sneaked inside at some point and planted it... or was on board right now. The thought of that really pissed her off.

"I don't know anything about this type of tracker. We should get Ollie or Al to... you know what, screw that. We need to tell Ezro before we do anything else."

"Al's injured so he can't be much use." He said. "Ollie could help." He thought it over. "I say we don't notify Ezro until after we leave." He said as he leaned against the control pad. "He wanted to come here for some R&R so let him, Alice, and Kal have fun while we take care of this situation."

"If someone knows the location of this ship, their lives are in danger. Everyone's lives are in danger," Sil said, keeping her voice low so as not to sound like an alarmist. "Even if we find this tracker right now it has already given away our current position. The captain has a right to know. We will all rest easier once your old pals are in the ground... which is what you should have done from the start!"

Alejandras toiled away in the engineering bay, drawing up design after design. Replicating a part of a mechanical arm is hard enough, but without blueprints, the difficulty increases tenfold. Every minute detail must be accounted for, every measurement down the the thousandth of a decimal, every irregular geometric shape mapped completely. At the moment, the ship lacked a 3-Dimensional scanner, so he couldn't use technology, at least for now.

Alejandras groaned in defeat. Somewhere, he fucked up. The driving shaft for the hydraulics was too long, and it was too late to make a change without jeopardizing the recreation. "Oh fuck me up the ass with a screwdriver..." Alejandras muttered as he toiled away. He saw Silmaris earlier in the engineering bay, but didn't make an attempt at conversation, as he had been too involved in his current task. Eventually, he came to the conclusion that he would spend the rest of his pocketed money on a 3-Dimensional scanner. In the meantime, he would ignore the armor plating that donned his mechanical arms and legs, and use a temporary frame, but still with all the equipment on the corresponding forearm.

He tore apart the failed recreation, the main factor preventing the shortening of the drive shaft was the armor plating that had already been welded on. He cut down the apparatus with a plasma saw, the laser cutting down the extra mass. As he was almost finished, he had to take a check on how much hydraulic fluid would be needed for the pistons. As he was examining his forearm for the hydraulic fluid container, he noticed something odd.

He had drawn a black line with sharpie on the container with how much hydraulic fluid should be used for the maximum force output of roughly 100,000 newtons of force, a far cry from what was delivered earlier to Cambion, but something that had gone unnoticed based on the circumstances. "Must've evaporated in the explosion." Reasoned Alejandras, as he deposited more fluid from a siphon into the hydraulic container. He deposited the same amount into the temporary replacement forearm.

Alejandras fumbled with the electronics in the left arm that had been maimed. He had been using a remote neurologically controlled robotic arm for the past time to assist with the reconstruction. He took off the small headset that had allowed him to control the robotic arm.

He motioned the replacement arm close the the mechanical strain that had been dangling there for the past while. Without warning, the cables and wires attached to the temporary replacement, as if my a magnetic force. A pulsation of energy was emitted from the action, and Alejandras clutched his forehead in pain, as the control of his arm returned. He breathed lightly for a minute, before returning to his previous status.

"That.... feels much better now."

Alejandras checked his data pod. Ezro had sent a few messages. He ignored the stuff about the ITF shenanigans, as he didn't want to recall those images he saw during the mission briefing. The thought of such sent chills down his spine. He took a glance at the porn, but didn't delve into it deeper, he'd have time later in the night for the rituals of the flesh.

He knew they were on Malalikia. The scent of saltwater and sand had flown into his nostrils as soon as they entered the atmosphere.

Alejandras left the engineering bay to grab something from his room. For the most part, he had recovered, aside from a burning sensation whenever liquid touched the burn on his back, but god bless technology. His ribs, while sore most of the time, had gotten the assist of steel supports on the ribs to assist with the healing process, as per requested by Al. He still bore scars of when shrapnel pierced his skin. He got migraines from time to time, but opioid painkillers never hurt anyone, right? His neck hurt from time to time from the whiplash, but after some stretching and frankly embarrassing sessions of yoga in the privacy of his room, the pain dulled.

At last, he had entered his room, and sorted through the closet, when he found what he was looking for.

A silicone rubber suit meant to shield his robotic extremities from liquid damage. This was sure worth the 2,000 credits. While awkward looking, and resembling a mankini but covering his arms and legs, this would suit for the vacation. He made sure to adorn himself in proper clothing, a Hawaiian-inspired teal tropical shirt, a gag straw hat he was acquired from Ollie during the white elephant Christmas last year. Alejandras had no idea what Christmas was, but liked the holiday for the benefits of receiving gifts. He scrambled for a pair of sunglasses, and completed his outfit with a pair of beige cargo shorts. He kept the tropical shirt unbuttoned, and wore a cotton white tank-top under it.

Was he doing this on purpose? Yes. Did he have regrets? No. He was going to pull off this tourist look, no matter what the rest of the crew thought.
Alejandras strode towards the mess hall, intent on making the entire population of the ship moan and groan in displeasure. A smirk completed his outfit. He couldn't help but laugh boisterously as he made his way down to brunch.

Jacen let out a sigh in defeat. "Alright let's go talk to...." His voice was cut off.

Jadie." A very feminine voice said. "You mind opening the door. Your big sister wants to talk to you."

Jacen looked at the out door monitor. A woman with firery red hair waves at the camera. She was wearing a pink bikini. She has a solar blade on her hip.

"Fuck." Jacen said as he looked at big sister threw the monitor.

Ezro had spent hours mulling over the data provided in the pod. Something about the date of Project Hades’ activation and Project Zeus’ search date irritated him a little bit. It was oddly close to the date of his insurgence from the ITF, which raised some questions. But the captain already had a mild migraine as it is, so he pushed it off as nothing more than pure coincidence.

Stepping away from his private quarters, Ezro made his way over to the Bridge where Silmaris and Corr could be heard conversing amongst one another. Chuckling, he continued onward.

“They sure are getting close.” He mumbled with a sly grin as he approached the door, and then stepped in after he’d wiped the mischievous look off his face.

“Hey people, what-....” Ezro stopped dead in his tracks. A visibly armed red headed woman stood outside, and Jacen was quite spooked by this. His eyebrows furrowed and a frown creased on his face. “The fuck is going on, Corr?”

Corr let out a breath. He looked the captain dead in the eyes as he spoke. "It appears my past is catching up to me sir." He said. He motioned to the monitor. "That's Alpha operative Siri Vala otherwise known as Big Sister." He said. "She wants to talk."

"Please open the door Jadie." Big Sister said. "I promise I won't do any damage."

“It seems a little coincidental that only now I’m hearing about this when an operative is standing right outside our door.” The migraine was getting worse. “I sincerely hope this is only your first encounter with them since leaving all those years ago, otherwise I’ll have a word with you later.”

With that said, the captain uttered an irritated sigh before fondling the pulse saber at his left hip. Approaching the hatch, Ezro lowered it but didn’t allow the ramp to extend to the ground below. Leaning across the door frame, he unclipped the saber and held it unactivated in his fight hand, then folded his arms to conceal it.

“Alpha Operative Siri Vala. Might I ask what the hell you are doing approaching my ship? Has the ITF finally lost their wits to the point that they’ve come to hunt down every person who’s crossed them? Mr. Corr is under this crews protection, and I will not take kindly to any threats against him or my people, that of course being your organization. State your business with me, and I’ll dictate whether this encounter goes any further.”

Alejandras, not late to any meeting, quickly left the mess hall after eating a handful of the leftovers of what Silmaris made. He quickly trotted to the Bridge, still adorned in his stereotypical tourist outfit, with the exception of the silicone rubber sleeves covering on his arms, hands, legs, and feet, obscuring the mechanical replacements within. He strode over to the door, until he saw Ezro depart from it, and talk to Jacen. "Hey Ezro, what's going on?"

After hearing Jacen's comment, Alejandras quickly retorted. "Oh what's this? Jacen's got an ex? 'Big Sister'? Is this some cover for a kink or fetish you don't want to tell us about?" Alejandras laughed at the thought, and made an incriminating smirk towards Corr.

Corr looked at Al. "Good to see you up and running." He said. "Nice outfit." He said. He turned to look at Ezro. "This is the first time I've seen one of them since I left. I didn't bring it up because I just found out they're tracking us." He handed the data pad showing the tracker to Al. "Can you look for this"

Big Sister smiled. "ahh Jadie you told them about me. How sweet." She laid her saber down onto the sand beef reaching into her Bikini bottom to take out a small blaster. "I only wish to talk Ezro. You guys made quite a stir yesterday." She said.

“It was simply business as usual, nothing personal against the ITF save for a little revenge for the entire system against that bastard who authorized countless iterations of genocide.” His Crimson iris’ glared at the woman, “And with this evidence, I’ve developed a strong opinion that talking isn’t exactly in the ITF’s methods. So forgive me in saying I don’t believe you that you’re just here to talk. I don’t care how many weapons you pull out of that outfit of yours, you Alphas are a trained threat with any item you can find.”

“However, given you’re at a safe distance you can talk to Corr from here. But first you’ve gotta prove you aren’t going to pull any shit on us.”

Alejandras looked at the tracker. His facial expression immediately shifted to a much more serious form. He nodded, and immediately went to work. He marched his way to the engineering bay, and accessed the ship's interior security system. Cameras deployed outwards at every crossroad, every hallway, every entrance, every exit. The cameras buzzed to life, as they scoured the premieres. Nothing. He himself scrolled through the feed, running identification systems of objects, but nothing, no outside factor, no foreign items. He sent a message to Jacen via the comms. "Interior is clear, no external presence is visible." He pushed his hand against his forehead.

He reluctantly exited The Titan from a orifice located in the engineering bay. A compact ladder deployed, and he climbed up it. He made it an importance to remain out of sight. He carried with him a small scanner drone, something that he bought a month ago. It was usually used for maintenance, scanning the hull for any imperfections or foreign substances. The drone was no larger than a water bottle, but it's compact nature allowed for hardware to be filled within the mechanical construct. It worked it's way across the ship's hull, a faint blue laser dancing across the crevices and junctures, protrusion and projection. Nothing. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing. No foreign substance, object, or the aforementioned tracker, until the drone had to maneuver to a different angle. It was barely visible, tucked away, with spindly legs hooking onto the hull.

He sent another message to Jacen. "Tracker located, neutralization in process." Alejandras liked to act all professional on the comms.

The drone retracted back into the engineering bay as Alejandras lifted himself up and made his way towards the drone. He eventually found it, and reached his arm down into the crevice, and grasped onto it's body. It took a bit of strain, but the robot was eventually detached, it's spider-like legs writhing wildly. A trail of scraped bruised the hull. He crushed the construct in his hands, the technology becoming nothing more than a grotesquely warped disc. He flattened the tracker to nothing more than a metallic pancake. "Tracker neutralized."

Sil immediately readied her rifle the moment she heard the woman's voice. She didn't give a damn who it was or why she was there or what she had to say. When you land on an isolated beach in the middle of nowhere and some chick is standing at your front door with a solar blade and a blaster, somebody's getting shot or stabbed.

And it won't be me, Sil thought as she stood behind Ezro, with her rifle ready. She didn't point it at the woman --yet-- but the safety was off and she kept her finger close to the trigger.

"Her presence here qualifies as 'pulling some shit on us,'" Sil reminded him, punctuated with a sigh. "But I will follow your lead... captain."

“Well like all the Alphas she’ll be a tough target to kill. Not to mention if we do, they’ll just send another one that might not be as peaceable as she is. Better to hear what the bastards have to say rather than putting ourselves at a greater risk.”

Ezro was curious what details Siri might have, and why she needed to speak with Jacen. Given the Alphas deep connection with the ITF, it could prove valuable in the long run to get as much info off of them as possible.

“But by all means keep your rifle at the ready, and at the first sign of trouble, blow her head off.”

Jacen jumped off of the dock landing near perfectly on the ground below. He looked at at Big Sister. Both stared at each other.

"What did you do too your face." She said folding her arms. "You went from having a boyish charm to looking grizzly."

Jacen just looked at her. "What is it that you need to say."

Big Sister frowned. She was hoping for more a bit more time. "Pakars nu Necron." She said. She saw Jacen stiffen before nodding. "Three days. Figure that will give you enough time to get your will in order. Plus a much needed vacation for your crew." She said. "I'll see you then Jadie. I'll come get you when it's time." She said before she started to walk away.
"And if I win?" He asked."what do I get."
"Your freedom from us boogymen " She said picking up her weapons before disappearing into the trees

After the woman was gone, Sil dropped down from the ship's ramp. The moment she hit the sand, she quickly surveyed her surroundings, swinging the rifle from left to right and then back again, like a soldier on a foreign battlefield. She didn't feel safe here. The Titan's location was known to six of the deadliest spec ops soldiers in the system and one was already confirmed to be on this planet with them and had been bold enough to march right up to their door. Frankly, Sil was really pissed off about that. Such arrogance.

But her pride wouldn't allow her to let that ruin her 'vacation.'

She lowered her rifle, but stood staring at the treeline for a few seconds, which felt like an eternity. At last, she turned to 'Jadie.'

"Let me guess: she invited you on a second date?" she said, more than a little annoyed.

Alejandras shuddered. "Fucking baba yaga bitch." He lowered himself onto the sands of the beach from the hull, in similar fashion to Earthen simians. He inhaled the warm, tropical breeze. "She went downwind, no chance in tracking her without highly advanced and expensive technology." He laughed to himself. "Better to enjoy the calm before the storm." He picked up the malformed disc of the previous tracker. "Anyone up for a game of Frisbee?"
