History:


A number of vessels have been launched from the home planet Earth somewhere in the twenty first century. Their mission? Ensue humanity's survival as a species. The planet was experiencing a great war, one between themselves and another between an extraterrestrial fleet that had occupied their outer solar system. Those that managed to escape the extraterrestrial fleet continued their journey through the void.





A century had passed and the Terran runaways/colonists had settled somewhere at quadrant in the milky way galaxy. Fortunately their vessels had frozen eggs, embryos, sperms and more or less feasible cloning technology - it will break down after two generations. The Terran population expanded rapidly for at least three generations, and for the fifth or sixth generations their was pressure to have many children.


The confederation had formed around 2312 ad and made it's task to unite the system.

Technology

The confederacy's technology is largely based from military technology brokering from the home planet Noiia. All of the Confederacy's aero/space vessels have been researched, designed and experimented there while other vehicles, weapons and whatnot have been made and developed elsewhere. Besides the advances in military and space-fairing, the confederacy's communication is also an intriguing marvel. Communication arrays, satellites, probes and a recreated internet have brought the nations of outlying planets together and solidified their bonds. Most of the planet's energy is harvested through geometrical and fusion plants. Their medical sciences however haven't changes much from the late twenty-first century, in fact it seems to have preserved itself and wasn't improved upon.


The planet's development is that of Earth in the late 21th Century. While most of the confederacy's tech comes from Noiia other planets deserve a crack in this listing.

The other two 'earth-like' planets are Greyia and Friskia. The level of technology is comparable to Earth during the start of the 21 century. It varies from nation to nation, however it's pretty clear that these worlds have limitted space-fairing capabilities in comparison to Noiia.


The planets' military technology isn't all that much for spaceflight so the confederacy has added their terrestrial vehicles into their military. Tanks, armored  vehicles and the average jeep that people have would most likely have been produced and manufactured from either of these two planets. To tell you how basic these vehicles are, they still rely on fossil fuels and have very little of the way with alternative fuel for their vehicles, Military tech is not at all impressive. Standard missiles or nuke warheads are manufacture here for smaller space vessels such as the fighters or runabout space vessel.


Once again the planets' space fairing capabilities are limited for them. They are able to launch satellites and position them in their respective orbits but they lack the materials  and specialists to create more sophisticated things such as rovers, explorers and decent space stations.


Communication is taken care of by Noiia but the planets too have communication. Internet is a hassle and getting access is a complicated affair. The planet uses outdated satellite dishes and having a functioning WLAN is a precious commodity that only the rich could afford. Logistics and communications work albiet decentralized.


Energies? These planets differ in the way they produce and consume energy. Greyia relies on nuclear energy and it's rich reserves od uranium deposits awhile Friskia has an abundance of coal. both planets have oil but it isn't used for powering plants and cities.


As for Medical sciences... No different from Noiia.

The other four planets that have been colonized or are inhabited by humans are mostly barren wastelands who only differentiate though how hot or how cold they are from one another. These are gutter worlds, fringe worlds and just plain hostile deserts that are unsuitable for the average man. These planets are mostly havens for outlaws, mercenaries and society's gunk.


Whoever lives on one of these four planets has a pretty nice tale to tell. These worlds are basically the boonies of the Confederacy. Tech is variable but you can bet that these people could be considered 'third world'.

Space stations are an interesting variable. Most space stations are based from Noiian astro technology. Most space stations that are floating around space have formed their own sovereignty while the ones based from the technology from Frikia or Greyia remain to thier planet's as scientific vessels or low bid housing for space fairing individuals.

Same goes for the bases that have been founded on numerous small celestial bodies such as asteriods or dwarf planets - of course made by Noiian astro technology. Despite all of them having been based on Noiian astro technology, the bases are very different from the inside. Some might even be relying on technologies from the days during the Cold War, Others somewhere in the early 21 century while the majority remain with the standard tech from the late 21 century.

Military




 


Space vessels




Fighter - Length = various

fighters are the basic military space vessels in the Confederacy. Standard laser arma ments, a normal engine that enables the vessel's flight capabilities. I lacks interstellar travel capabilities and needs to be transported on bigger vessels that have more sophisticated engines.


Corvette - Length = 163 m

Corvettes are a light attack ship which can move between planets. Unlike fighters these vessels have interstellar flight capabilities and much like the fighters, they come with the standard laser weaponry if anything else.


Bomber - Length = various

Like fighters, they need carriers to travel elsewhere. Unlike fighters however these vessels are armed with missiles instead of the standard laser armaments.


Heavy bomber - Length = various

These things are typically twice the size of the standard bomber and their armaments have changed from carrying just missiles to shooting blasts of heated plasma.


Ion Bomber - Length = various

Equal to the heavy bomber in every way except for it's more advanced armaments and by the fact that it has shielding.


Destroyer - Length = 291 m

Armed with plasma cannons and missiles this is the terror in the skies that keeps rebels, mercenaries and pirates in check.


Frigate - Length = 457 m

A frigate is a versatile stellar unit armed with missiles.


Cruiser - Length = 724 m

The Cruiser is perhaps one of the most versatile of all ships of the confederacy. This vessels is armed with plasma cannons, missiles and has a decent level of shielding.


Carrier - Length = 1100 m

The carrier's purpose is to deliver smaller vessels such as fighters, bombers, heavy bombers etc. It's only got a dozen or so missile turrets and it's pretty vulnerable to attacks despite it being plated and shielded. Not much use in a fight but excellent at transporting units, vehicles, ships and cargo.


Super Carrier - Length = 2389 m

The big brother of the carrier. It's better plated, shielded and instead of missile turrets it is armed with ion cannons. It's still not good in a fight but it's longevity has definitely improved.
