For those of you who haven't seen this classic, I'll try to give you the gist.
A family moves into an isolated hotel known as the Overlook Lodge in Colorado, mainly because they are being paid to watch over it during the winter, but also because the father of the home is looking to find a nice quiet place to focus on his writing. They are given the food, tools, supplies, and other necessities they will need to sustain them through the harsh Colorado winter.
The hotel is beautiful. High ceilings, lavish decor, and luxurious amenities are just a few of the things The Overlook has to offer. But with so many positives, at some point there's gotta be a catch, right?
According to the hotel's records, a family in previous years was privileged with the same task. To simply live in the Overlook through the winter. But something took a turn for the worse. The father, went absolutely nuts, and killed his twin daughters in the hallway with a kitchen knife. Guests have reported numerous times of seeing two identical twin girls, dressed in all black and covered with blood, standing beside each other in the hallway of the 3rd floor. The wife's dead body was also found in room 371. The room is no longer available to the public by request.
The family has also met the same fate. But the modern twist?
Not a family. The inhabitants of a coed dorm at the university of Colorado. The dorm had burned to the ground due to an accident with the heating system, leaving the students with nowhere to go. Nowhere but the Overlook.
Do you really have a choice?
