Multiple Settings The Serpents [Main Thread]

Roxana Winters
Serpents
Roxy hadn't done much of anything but it wasn't like she could. Gathering intel wasn't really her job and even if she wanted to help, she'd been told not to interfer. Still, it made her feel useless. She had watched too many of the same people who had always been there for her die. She had watched Frankie die. He was so young and full of life...full of promise. It upset her more than even some of the men she'd known for years. They had lived, he was still a baby in her eyes. Sure, he knew what this lifestyle was and the risks but that didn't make it any better. It was still shitty. She knew that the Serpents had no intention on letting this go though and they would get the bastards who did this.

She walked into the warehouse with a few pizza boxes in her hands. "There are a few more in the car," she said to one of the guys who subsequently walked out to get them. After setting the ones she had down and announcing they were free for all, she took one of them over to the bar when she saw Izzy and Enzo. "Extra pepperoni. Figured everyone might be hungry so I did a food run before I came," she shrugged, sitting down in an empty seat and taking out one slice. "They having a table meeting?" she asked when she noticed the biker standing guard outside the door of the table room. There was usually someone they trusted who was making sure no one just waltzed in during a meeting so it made the meeting obvious.

She had been sitting in her car for a few minutes now. Watching the warehouse as she tried to get herself prepared enough to go in. Bella had gone grocery shopping after getting a message from Leon, one of the senior members who was...a bit spotty in his attendance. He often worked outside the city, running between their suppliers in other cities, and often wasn't here. But since she often went running for people, Bella didn't mind stopping by the store for anyone. Of course the entire time she felt eyes on her, unsure if she was just being paranoid or not but Bella couldn't shake that feeling.

Even as she sat here in the warehouse parking lot, watching as Roxy carried pizzas inside. Bella had planned on making some food for everyone but...that was easier. After a few more minutes of lingering in her car, wishing Felon had been brought with her but he was relaxing at her house. So, Bella stepped our of her car, opened the back door and pulled out a few grocery bags. Multiple trips we're for losers. Bumping the car doors with her hips as she passed by, managed to lock the doors with a struggled press if her key fob, Bella headed inside.

As she entered, Bella ignored Roxy, Izzy, and Enzo as she headed into the kitchen, putting the bags down to start going through them and putting things away. A few grocery items, two cases of beer and a case of wine (that came in cans?? Bella decided to try it), some cigarillos, and chips. "Fresh beer's in the fridge," Bella announced to no one in particular as she grabbed one of the wine cans and headed out to the back patio.

Not realizing she was staring, but also not really taking in what she saw, Izzy barely noticed when Jeremy went to the pool table to start up a game with Enzo. Money was set out; they were betting, which in a time like this probably wasn't smart but she also understood people needed to take their minds off of the slaughter. Mentally shaking herself, she blinked a few times and glanced up as Casey walked through the room, inviting Jeremy to the table. She didn't miss the annoyance on his face, and for some reason, the expression just reminded her of Julius.

Enzo, clearly not wanting to play the game anymore, snatched up the money he'd tossed onto the table and headed in her direction. She didn't look his way, not until a few moments after he spoke. She'd sensed his eyes on her, but if Izzy could do one thing, it was keep a poker face.

"How are you holding up, Izzy?"

A light frowned touched her lips, and after a few seconds she swiveled her head in his direction. "Things are going, I guess." She shrugged, but didn't get to say much more before her best friend made her way into the club, pizza boxes in hand. Someone went to grab the rest of them, and while Roxy walked over to them, Bella entered as well. Izzy knew that she'd gotten injured as well during the shootout, but even if they hadn't been physically shot or hurt, there was the emotional toll.

Leaning forward in her seat, Izzy looked between Roxy and Enzo. "Yeah, they're in a meeting. Determining our fates while we wait."

Jeremy was ready to drop some money on this game, if anything just to distract himself from the hell the last few days had been. He had done some digging of his own, but hadn't found much. He wasn't expecting Case to invite him to the table, either, so when the new leader walked through and invited him, a look of surprise flashed on his face.

Quickly wiping it from his face, he flashed an apologetic look at Enzo before following behind Casey. He had a slight sense of hesitation before walking into the room, and for good measure. He didn't miss the look on Andrew's face when he saw Jeremy walk into the room, but seeing as how he was coming from the Outcasts (despite being a Serpent before that) he knew that there were those who wouldn't appreciate his presence.

Either way, he met Andrew's negative gaze with a bold one of his own before taking a seat. He remained silent during the proceedings, leaning forward, his hands balled into fists on the table. "They don't guard their safehouse at night?" The surprise in his voice was evident, but then he smirked, leaning back in his seat. "Looks like we have our mark, then."

Casey instructed Jeremy to help with the contractors, which he thought was just a babysitting job in disguise. Still, he didn't dare show how he felt, instead just choosing to nod. "You got it, boss. They'll feel right at home."

He however understood that's what leadership was all about, but hated being the last one to say or bring forth anything of value. Nevertheless, truth was that the Serpents knew the territory more than he did at this point so they were the ones driving this retaliation. It had been five years since his departure, so his knowledge of other rival clubs was vastly outdated. He had to rely on Devon, Stevie and Andrew to do their job as the three individuals with the most years of service to the club. Fortunately for him they had a reputation of delivering.

Devon spoke up first and strategically had the idea to recon before acting impulsively. It would be in their best interest to cut the Tyrant's access to funds and set them on a self-destructive path. Hence the more information they could get from this group the more efficient it would be to get their justice. "Good. Put Enzo and Natalia on top of it, see what they can find out. Since the attack three days ago, there will eyes on us at all times. We can't afford to do anything reckless, we have to do this right and clean." His attention was then drawn to Andrew and his hefty folder. As he spoke, Casey took the folder and started looking through it - eyeing the pictures of Tyrant members, contraband facilities and every other piece of intel Andrew managed to dig up. All the information they seemed to want was conveniently placed into his hands - something about it felt odd.

His eyes squinted and shifted to Andrew as the man finished speaking. He heard Jeremy in the background questioning the idea of an unsecured drug and weapons safe house. Casey had the same feeling, disputing in his head how Andrew came about this reputable information. His gut feeling told him something was off, but who was he to question the man's ability to do the job he was asked to do. "Okay...." Casey said, handing the folder to Devon so he could see for himself. "Do we know if Marcus had any siblings? Maybe a right hand man? People like them, similar to us like to keep things in the family. It's likely that the club was transferred over to them. Ask your source and try and get me a name. I want to know exactly who ordered the hit on our club," he ordered Andrew.

"In the meantime I want all of you to reflect on what happens next. Knowing the whereabouts of their supply we can send the Tyrants a message, knock down their door and start something we will not be able to shy away from. Blood will be spilled. Take the day to think about it and we'll meet back here tonight for a vote. You all can go. You can stay VP," Casey directed, holding his tongue until the others left the meeting room. He removed himself from his chair and closed the double doors behind the last person out, turning to face Devon. "I have a favor to ask of you Devon. I've been gone for five years and I need you to fill me in on who I'm working with here. I know your devotion to the club is unrivaled, but how much can I trust the others? What do you know about Andrew?"

Devin folded his fingers together and rested his chin on them, elbows propped on the table for support, as he listened to Drew share his info, and Jeremy crow for action. Casey seemed more reserved. Wary, even. Which was probably wise, Devin thought, taking the offered folder and flipping through it.

At Casey's word, Devin stayed in his seat, still flipping through the folder. He only looked up when the room was empty and Casey addressed him directly. He raised an eyebrow and held the folder up. "I take it this smelled like bait to you too?"

Devin set it down and leaned back in his chair. "Drew's devoted. He's ambitious. In my direction, which is annoying. He's also not the brightest crayon in the box. I expect if we're right about this being a set up, he's just a useful idiot. He wants to prove he can do my job better than I can, and I don't think he's gonna look at anything that can help him do that too hard." After all, Drew did seem to believe Julius' dumbass story that Clark had "left," which Devin had though was painfully obvious code for disappearing him. Poor thing. "I think he delivered us a trap, but I don't think he knows it. Probably his source is playing him, whoever it is."

"As far as the rest of the table goes, Stevie's still Stevie. Give you the heart out of her chest if she thought you needed it. You don't need to worry about her." He studied Casey a moment. "You do need to worry about me, but I think you're smart enough to know that."

Though she was the quiet one, Stevie couldn't help but analyze every word the guys said. Her golden brown eyes flickered between them as they spoke, not only taking account of their words, but also psychoanalyzing them. Whether they liked it or not, much of what the gang saw and endured was psychologically traumatic. Knowing who was close to their breaking point allowed Stevie to periodically check in with them and let them talk out whatever was on their minds. At least, if she could get them to talk anyway. When Devin had brought up the Tyrants, she couldn't help but tilt her head curiously. She had heard of them before, bits and pieces through the grapevine. "If they are small, even only smaller than us, it's interesting that they would consider attacking us on our turf. Maybe they had help?"

It was a possibility, but without evidence, there wasn't really much that they could do. Drew displayed his findings, and she offered him an encouraging nod. He was a good soldier, a loyal Serpent that she trusted. He was impulsive and hot-headed, but protective of those close to him. And Stevie thought that was admirable. They could go in and take down the supply, or they could create some sort of operation to sneak in. That was an interesting concept. The girls that frequented the gangs as dancers and escorts were not specific to one gang over another. Given Roxy and Bella's affinity towards the Serpents, it wouldn't be hard for her to get their help in going undercover as an escort. Maybe that would allow her to determine what information was true and what was a plant.

Stevie was pulled from her thoughts by Casey's voice, her eyes flickering over to the man at the head of the table. With a single nod, she obediently responded, "Understood," before standing from her chair and exiting the room. Glancing at Jeremy and Andrew, the brunette gestured down the hallway. "If you need me, I'm going to be in the infirmary making some calls," she said with a soft smile. Turning on her heels, Stevie returned to her infirmary, propping the door slightly ajar behind her. Thankfully, those that had been injured earlier in the week had healed enough to return to their own rooms, and so she had the entire ward to herself. A small desk was placed in the corner, a locked safe underneath it. She moved to it, lowering herself in the chair and turning the knob in her secret code to open the safe. It was full of files, filled with information on every Serpent she had treated, just like an actual hospital. Stevie stared at them for a moment, her heart heavy. Eventually, however, she removed a set of files, sat them on her desk, and began to make some calls.

LORENZO RUIZ
Location: Warehouse

Bringing the glass to his lips, Lorenzo took another sip, letting the toasty, smoky flavor linger for a moment. Swallowing, he turned his gaze to the pretty brunette alongside him. If there was one thing he had learned in his time with the Serpents, it was that Izzy was a brick wall. It was nearly impossible to get anything out of her that she didn't want others to see. At her shortened response, Enzo dropped his gaze to his glass and let out a deep chuckle. "Well, I'd certainly hate to play against you in a game of poker," he murmured in a teasing, yet friendly tone. But before he could continue that conversation, probably much to Izzy's preference, a familiar voice spoke up nearby.

Roxy was Izzy's best friend, that was easy to see. Enzo wondered how the girl had gotten so close to the leader's sister, and wondered if he could learn how to do the same. After all, being friends with the higher ups of the Serpents would certainly help him climb the ranks faster. "Extra pepperoni? My favorite," the new member said with a grin, reaching over to grab a slice for himself. Whiskey and pizza certainly was a great combination, reminiscent of sometimes watching football with his stepfather on Sunday nights. It was on of the few bonding activities they had left, and was slowly fading as well. After all, Lorenzo had to focus his time and energy on the Serpents.

"Deciding our fates for sure," the brunette murmured, his gaze flickering over to the door to the table room and the guard that stood outside it. "Think Casey is going to take revenge? He seems to be a strong leader, but he's certainly not Julius... What do you think, Izzy?" Almost as if they had heard the group at the bar talking, the door to the table room was pulled open, revealing Stevie, Jeremy, and Andrew as they exited. Based on the looks on their faces, something had definitely gone down, though Enzo had expected nothing less. "Well, speak of the devils and they shall appear. Looks like we'll find out soon what they decided."

It had been a hard few days since the shooting took place. They'd only just started to settle in and things were already going to hell, it seemed like the former Outlaws would never be able to adjust to their new life. Though it had given them a sense of purpose and seemed to unite some of them, it had also made some tensions worse. The Outlaws were used to taking orders from Casey, but the Serpents weren't and this was a pretty big thing to be dealing with so soon. Casey had only been in charge for a short while and they'd already lost more men. It wasn't exactly a friendly welcome.

Though Natalia had tried, she was new to the town and the Serpent's and hadn't been able to gather much intel. If there was one thing she couldn't do, it was sit still. There was nothing she hated more than feeling useless, anxiously waiting for Casey and the others to decide what their next move was. Natalia wanted to be part of the action, not sitting on her hands doing nothing of use. She had been useless when her brother was murdered, and Natalia refused to ever feel that way again. Even if she wasn't at the table yet, she was determined that some day she would be. There was nothing left for her but vengeance and justice. The Outlaws, now the Serpents, were the only family she had now and she wanted to protect them at all costs.

The former Outlaw tried to distract herself by going to the gym, but even after she'd worked her body into exhaustion she couldn't rest. So, she ended up at the warehouse which just made her even more restless, she knew they were behind that door and yet she couldn't do anything but wait. Thankfully, plenty of others were around to distract her. She'd been sitting at a table nursing a drink and sulking with another former Outlaw when Casey and the other table members finally exited. The brunette instantly perked up, ready to hear what had been decided.

Andrew Michaels
Serpent
Andrew could see that Jeremy and Devin were questioning his information, the later moreso. Jeremy seemed more shocked than doubtful but Devin, he always seemed to peg Drew for a fool. This caused his hand to ball into a fist under the table. If it weren't for the guy's position in the club, he'd have definetly gone toe to toe with him in a more physical manner by now. "Yes. At night. It's a remote location, deep in the woods. They don't feel the need to conceal or guard what's very well hidden," he added but he could tell some were still overthinking it. Rightfully so. It wasn't like they knew his source or the details of how he obtained the information. He couldn't wait to see the look on Devin’s smug face later though when his folder turned out to be more reliable than what he'd gotten...which was nothing.

"He was in his mid-thirties and married. Maybe he had a son. I will find out what I can," he nodded to Casey before standing up and walking out of the room. He honestly wanted to show Devin up but more than anything he wanted revenge. In his opinion, he felt that Casey being new to the members of this club would be a disadvantage. The guy seemed to know his stuff and was no doubt a good leader but at the same time, he didn't know the people he was the leader of. Julius and Casey were different men with different outlooks and that would either help or hurt this club. Drew just prayed it wouldn't be the latter. More and more men dying would only cause a rebellion and the last thing they needed was a war inside their own club. Part of him already wondered how their rivals had known of their little party the night of the attack.

As he exited the table room, his eyes fell on Natalia. He didn't know her very well since she was part of the crew Casey had brought over but he honestly had respect for any woman who joined an MC knowing it wasn't widely accepted. He knew some people had probably given her a hard time, they had when Stevie first became a member. From what he could recall anyway. He walked over and stood beside her as Casey and Devin finally graced them with their presence. He didn't need to stay around for the announcement since he knew what was going on but he wouldn't hear back from his source right away so he had a little time to kill for now.

Natalia Luciano.
female outlaw.
The door to the meeting room swung open, all eyes on the table members stepping out into the room, though it seemed Casey and Devin stayed behind. It only left Natalia feeling more anxious, she'd been expecting an announcement and now they had to wait even longer. Before she could start pacing, one of the Serpent's higher ranking members came to stand beside her, his eyes still lingering on the door he'd just exited. It seemed he was just as anxious as they were.

"Productive meeting?" She asked, looking over at him with a steely green gaze. It was more than a little infuriating to be stuck out here while they were in there discussing their futures. The words that were exchanged in that room could either resolve this issue or very well get them all killed. It wouldn't be productive for all of them to crowd into one room and try to voice their opinions, it would be pure chaos, but it didn't mean she wasn't a little bitter about it. There was nothing she hated more than feeling useless.

It reminded her of how she'd felt after her brother had died. His gang had refused to let women in, as much as Natalia had begged them to let her help they wouldn't let her. Thankfully, one of Tony's friends had finally given in to her pleading and told her who they believed was responsible for his death. Natalia had done the rest of the work herself, infiltrating the gang that had killed her brother and working in one of their clubs until they trusted her, then putting a bullet in their heads. The brunette simply couldn't stand by and do nothing, it made her feel useless and out of control. It was why she'd joined the Outlaws in the first place, to never feel helpless again.

"I was hoping I could get to know everyone before having to bury them." She sighed heavily, her eyes sweeping across the room for the unfamiliar faces she still hadn't gotten to know yet. They were all a family now, she was going to have to place her life in their hands and trust them with not just her life, but the lives of her friends. They were going to have to get their shit together fast, before they lost anyone else.
