Realistic or Modern The secrets you keep

He frowned and looked over at her trying to reach for her hand. “No... I was talking... to you... last night.” He mumbled and frowned looking at her a little panicked. “Fae I’m gonna be okay though ... I am... I’m... i was awake last night I swear.” He whimpered.

Fae frowns a little. “Baby you went to bed that night and didn’t wake up the next morning. Theyve been trying everything. It’s been a week since that night.” She murmurd siftly and holds his hand.

He frowned more and shook his head just trying to grip at her hand tighter. “Maybe... have they put me up on the list more?” He asked her frowning until his doctor came in and they got started on a check up.

Fae goes to answer him until the doctor comes in. She gets up and gets out of the way so they could check him over. She sighs softly and bites her lip.

He frowned some and waited patiently for them to be finished, getting some help to sit up and just waited quietly while notes were made on his chart then turned to Fae. “So? Oh and doc when can I go home?”

THe doctor looks at him and sighs. "I'm afriad not anytime soon Mr. Reedus. You're not gonna be abe to be off the machines until we can get a transplant and we have no clue when that would be.

He frowned and bit down hard on his lip. He wasn’t going to yell at them but that was the last thing in the world that he wanted to hear right now, looking over at Fae and reaching for her to come closer, waiting for the others to leave the room just watching her and trying to not cry.

Fae frowns and covers her mouth. She goes over to him when he reaches for her. She lays down on the bed carefully and buries her face in his shoulder, trying not to cry but she couldn’t help the tears that started falling.

He frowned some and just held onto her tightly, not saying anything for a while and just staring at the ceiling. He couldn’t look at her or he really was gonna start crying. He just wanted to be home with her.

Fae tried to calm down and sniffles. She wipes her eyes and looks at him. “I’m sorry.” She murmurs. She really shouldn’t be the one breaking down on him. He was the one that was sick.

“I just ... I just wanna go home.” He mumbled frowning and biting down hard on his lip, looking over at her again and holding onto her. “Hell I’ll go on full bed rest if I have to. No breaking it. But I wanna go home. I don’t wanna be here.” He mumbled shaking a bit.

Fae frowns. “They can’t keep an eye on you at home or have you hooked up to these machine baby. They’re keeping you alive.” She murmurs and glances up at him, wiping her eyes.

He bit down on his lip again shaking his head some. “You can’t stay here though. I can’t have you here all the time... it’s cold... and it’s not home.” He whimpered a bit and shook his head looking nothing more than scared now.

Fae frowns and sits up. She holds his hand gently. “I know. I’m sorry but this is best for you babe.” She says softly. “I’m not ready to lose you.”

He frowned and gripped at her hand tightly. “Did they put me higher on the list? I wanna go home Fae.” He mumbled getting upset now and struggling to stop himself from panicking.

Fae frowns and shakes her head. "Norman you have to calm down, getting yourself worked up isn't gonna help you." She murmurs and rubs his hand. "I don't know where you are on the list."

He shook his head completely not meaning to get all shaken up like he was but he couldn’t help it and before he knew it they were heading more alarms and he was struggling to breathe at all, shutting his eyes right and trying to calm down best he could.

fae frowns and tries to calm him down but eventually moves out of the way. She was escorted out of the room and taken to a waiting room while they helped Norman.

Jack arrived for his daily visit not long after that frowning as he walked down the hall to find the door was shut to his room and he ended up being taken to the same place as Fae. “What’s going on? Is he okay?” He asked her

Fae shakes her head. “He woke up finally but he got worked up and upset about having to stay. They’ve been in there almost an hour.” She whimpers and curls up.

He frowned and nodded. “Is there no way for him to go home at all?” He asked her frowning. “If it’s money for equipment I can help but... nothing at all?” He asked

Fae sighs softly. “Jack he’s better off here. They have all the equipment and nurses that can watch him 24/7.” She murmurs and looks at him. “I don’t want him here either but I’d rather him here and alive then home and dead.”

He frowned some and sighed. A bit. “He’s going to have a breakdown.” He warmed her. “He’s not cut out for long stays like this. Not when he has no choice.” He muttered.

Fae looks at him. “Then what do you want me to do!?” She snaps. “We can’t afford all the equipment he needs and a stay at home nurse for him!” She yells at him and stands up.

He frowned at her and shook his head. “Then let me help! Let me call my mom see what she can do! He has insurance. Good insurance even and you know it.” He muttered. “But don’t start yelling at me when all I’m tryna do is help.” He muttered looking up when a nurse said they could go back in.
