538bb2a318664c2e79c445f9c1d8c58a.jpg In a town as old as fine wine, vampires come out to play. It is a town that never sleeps. Once the sun goes down, that is when all the fun begins to roll out. Even though there are vampires that lurk in the darkness at night, there are also ones that walk in broad day light. Vampires are not the only creatures that lurk in these parts, the boy who cried werewolf will be crying out once more. You read it right, werewolves, also inhabit the town. Also, witches play a major part as well. This town is filled with secrets, mischief, romance, action, and adventure. You just need to play your cards right. Many view this town as a quaint, quiet, and mysterious place. Which explains the reason why there are so many tourist who travel to see for themselves, whether or not the rumors of the legendary creatures are actually true.

Welcome to the town of Redwood, a place that will make you wish you never step foot on its soil. If you choose to stay, vampire, human, werewolf, witch, or whatever you are, we are happy to have you. Find yourself a cute home to live in, go on with your daily lives, start some drama, fall in love, get a job, or attend the local high school and tell no outsiders of what you see during the night. If you bite off more than you can chew (no pun intended) you are on your own, love. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer... if you wish to make it out alive in this town.

Best Regards,
Your Trusted Friend

Today March 11th, 2018,

Time: Afternoon
Weather: 50 degrees with clear skies

Spring break is finally here! Schools have let out students for their break, and there is no telling what mischief they will cause. Parties, bonfires, and many more crazy activities will take place during Spring Break. (Hopefully 'no drama'). Many of the teenagers here will be throwing parties that will probably be shut down by the cops, lots of drinking and fun going around.

But, if you're not the one to party or do anything during your spring break. There are other fun activities here to keep you busy and calm during your spring break. :)

But beware, when night falls, that is when 'they' lurk around.

Your character just received a text saying that there will be a 'killer' party by the lake this afternoon, and they decide to check it out, knowing that they have nothing better to do then just sit around. Augustus Atori ( Agent23 Agent23 ) is the host of this party. What your character does during the party is totally up to you. Maybe they cause a little trouble, or get into a fight with someone, maybe discover things? Or fall in love, who knows?

The possibilities are endless.

83a1ded3336925fd73d164c7e0a6b020.jpg The first day of spring break is always nice. No school, no homework, no projects and no school drama. Vienna loved spring, the reason being is that she got to see everything start anew. The flowers bloomed, baby animals being born, greenery everywhere, and the warm rays of the sun. Vienna had just come back from a run around the woods. Yes, they lived in the woods, her grandmothers house was only 20 minutes away from town which wasn't bad. Vienna often times would walk to town on nice days. When she got out of the shower, and had dressed herself in a pretty polka dot red dress with red heels that tied around her ankles. Vienna liked dressing cute, she was quite fashionable. If you see her in anything other then that like sweats or a baggy shirt, somethings up. Vienna opened up her curtains to let some light through. Her room was covered with cute little plants here and there. Vienna's grandmother had left for work at the store, she ran a herbal medicine shop which is quite a tourist attraction here at Redwood. There's not a thing in which you can't find here at the store. Vienna grabbed her phone, tiny wallet and headed downstairs. As she headed downstairs, her phone vibrated, she stopped at the top of the stairs and checked out the text. It read that there was a party going on in about 45 minutes. Vienna decided that she was already dressed, so why not go to the party? Its the first day of Spring Break and a party is what Vienna needed.

Even though she may not be the most sociable girl at school, she still liked parties instead of doing nothing. Because when she is doing nothing, she starts to think about things that make her worry. Her being lost in her own thoughts is not such a good thing for her. Vienna locked her phone when she was done looking at the text because she heard a snoring coming from downstairs. She knew her grandmother was at work, so who could possibly be snoring in the mid afternoon. She headed downstairs with caution. Vienna turns around the corner and finds Judah sleeping on her couch. Vienna had been friends with Judah for about two years now, and she completely trusts Judah with her life. She sees him as her best friend, he was the first or second person she met a year after she moved back to Redwood. Vienna feels as if she could tell Judah anything without him judging her. But in other words, he can be a bit of a hothead and irritate Vienna, but other then that she loves the guy. Maybe a little too much, Vienna did grow attached to Judah and maybe a bit emotionally attached. Judah was always crashing her at the house, and her grandmother didn't really say anything. She liked him. But that was only because he was a good friend to her granddaughter. She walked behind the couch and leaned in, she was carefully hovering her upper body over the couch on Judah. She brought her hands in front of her and quickly grabbed Judah, as she yelled his name, "JUDAH!" Vienna said loudly. She loved scaring him, because he always seemed to be the one trying to scare her at times. So she wanted him to see how that felt, even if it was nothing to him.

side-seam-a-button-the-groom-039-s-best-man.jpg Augustus was a blur of motion as he put the final touches on the house. Stopping where the podium would sit if this church was still in operation. Streamers hung from every tasteful angle. Lazers and lights along with fog machines were cleverly tucked away so that one would have to look to find the source. Speakers adorned the walls and ceilings, connected to an expensive Soundboard. Tables filled with snacks and beverages both alcoholic and non lined the walls and a cleared space for dancing, all in all a perfect party venue. He couldnt help but feel a bit of pride, He never understood the premise of spring break but the young ones of the town deserved to be jubilant every once in a while plus it would help promote peace between the underlying communities within the town itself.

After he was content with the setup he changed his clothes and took his usual rose oil bath. After that he threw on his usual suit and bow tie, and began his stroll through the town to put up posters and fliers. Sure he had sent an email, but he wanted to ensure no one missed this event. Partly because he wanted everyone to have a good time and partly due to his hunger. It had been a few weeks since his last feeding and he was hoping to have as much variety there as the town had to offer. Plus William had expensive tastes, it wouldnt do to have him have to share with anyone else. He wouldnt hear the end of it no matter how long they both lived.

Kiera had spent all day in her room so far. Pens, pastels and paint was spread all over her floor and mattresses. Her room was a mess and was beginning to bother her. Moving over her folder of art work she slowly began to pick everything up and put it back into its normal place. Empty pots soon filled up with everything that had been on her floor. Soon enough the room was a spotlight for cleanliness. Smiling to herself Kiera took the zipper light from her pocket and lit up an insence stick which filled the room with lavender smell. Finally she felt more relaxed than she had before and plonked herselfndown back to her d.i.y bed. Gazing out the window she listened to the birds before her phone buzzed. Unlocking her phone she scrolled through her messages, perking a brow to the one that had just come through.

An invitation to a lake house party? That might be interesting..

Kiera sat and stared at her phone for a while, curious as what goings on could happen. Everyone was such a different person to one another that it was inevitable that something dramatic and interesting would happen. Especially with the very different characters around Redwood. There was a pause in her mind as she went blank before looking to her table. Sitting down in front she pushed back one of her locks before smiling to herself. Being the 'different' one was a worry in Redwood on the considering, yet she felt out of place some of the time no matter how many friends she'd been able to make. Kiera began putting on little dashes of make-up on with a bold red lipstick perfectly spread around her lips. Smiling she chucked on a pair of ripped jeans and a top before her black heeled boots made their way onto her feet.

Twirling round in her mirror for a moment she shrugged to herself before picking up a crystal from her table and hung it round her neck. The purple gem sparkled light stars in the nigh. It gave her comfort and peace, calming her down greatly before she took her keys and exited her building. It didn't take her two seconds to find she'd forgotten she still hadn't picked her car up from the shop yet. Looked like she was walking, or so she thought. Seeing a black cab coming down the road she’d just about got half way down, she began waving her hand out with her thumb turned up. Kiera prayed they’d stopped other wise it would take ages for her to walk the whole way there.

Kinsley Wright was currently finishing up with a patient- a young werewolf who had the unfortunate luck of being at the wrong place during the wrong time. Luckily, the young boy was going to get through without much trouble. Kinsley acutely focused as she closed off the final incision, releasing a long and exhausted sigh as she finally finally completed her last task of the day. Kinsley stepped back and pulled off her gloves, letting the other doctors take over the aftercare with the help of some witchcraft as the surgeon stepped out of the operation room. Kinsley pulled down her mask and strode down the hallway, offering smiles to those who offered the same. The woman glanced down at her watch- another few minutes and Kinsley would be free to leave and go home. The thought of heating up some leftover casserole and bumming on her couch had her sighing in want.

Kinsley made her way to the receptionists desk and chatted with the clerk for a couple of minutes before she was cut off by a notification on her phone. Kinsley frowned and dug her phone out of her pocket, looking down at the email with raised eyebrows.

"A party? By the lake? Huh." Kinsley murmured out loud, and the receptionist smiled and nodded. Apparently he was going too- this seemed like a big town gathering.

Kinsley shoved her phone back in her pocket and smiled once more before making her way out of the hospital. The crisp air caused her to shiver, and she quickly hopped into her car and turned on the ignition. Her drive home was a quick one, and on the way she noticed a group of teenage girls chatting it up by the local coffee shop. It seemed that spring break was already starting.

Kinsley got home and hopped out of her car, got into her apartment, and immediately crashed on the couch. She contemplated weather or not to head to the party- it did seem a little out of the ordinary... She did need a break from work. Even if it was for one night. Her friends were probably going to be there anyway.

The witch glanced down at her scrubs and sighed, standing up from her couch with a groan. She needed to find another outfit if this party was as grand as the email said it to be.

Mortimer Briarwood
Location: Home - Travelling to party

Mentioned: Agent23 Agent23 (Augustus)
Mortimer had gone through his daily coffeeshop ritual; ordering tea for one, no sugar and opening up his current novel being the favourited classic, 'War and Peace', Volume 2 --- one of the Russian editions of course, which scattered across the page in incomprehensible scrawls of Cyrillic, bound by dark blue leather. The paper was thin and fine printed in tight rows of text as if to fill as much space as possible, making way for the footnotes that lined the bottom of each side. Every five pages turned, he'd lift his red-eyed gaze and take a sip from the porcelain cup in continuous clockwork motion. If not for the odd glances at his watch, Briarwood might've seemed like some sort of automaton. The concentration and focus he gave to these blissful moments when surrounding himself in literature, were of all things intriguing to observe. A gentle flickering of the pupils as they spanned back and forth sentences pulling away and readjusting to the next line, the loosely curled fist that set beneath his chin, whilst his brows twitched with slight impatience; teeth scraping his lower lip in between the tensing of his jaw.
The Vampire always left around lunch, escaping the rush of work breaks and the older generation who would continue to take up the precious quiet with droning chatter. Sometimes, he was glad for the eternal youth, considering what he might've become. Hunched and decaying, just waiting for the day your body was no longer to be relied upon.

When Mortimer reached home, his mobile began to buzz. Screen lighting up from where he'd abandoned it on the kitchen side. He never liked taking it to the cafe for the reason he disliked the distraction it offered. His home for a local government official was decently sized, three bedroom detached, Victorian red-brick. It'd been the same since he'd moved into Redwood. The bedrooms, however, were used as both library and study. He had enough volumes of literature to sink the Titanic all over again.

Swiping up, and clicking on the E-mail, he cocked his brow. A party? Augustus was hosting by no measure of surprise, yet he was sure it had to be some kind of cover for something. Even so, Augustus usually had an open bar. Mortimer hesitated. It wouldn't hurt to see who attended, (or to see how much expensive whisky and wine he could get away with). Briarwood sighed and rolled his neck back; clambering the staircase into the bathroom to wash his face and tidy himself up. Moving through the hallway to his room, the Vampire changed clothes. Opting for an entirely black, albeit neat attire. Shirt unbuttoned down to the collar, trousers, a double-breasted blazer and Italian shoes which were easy to slip into. He'd be taking a cab for the event, putting his wallet into the jackets inner pocket; using a sprinkle of cologne and tying his hair back into a half-assed bun. He was attending for the drinks, not the company. Yet it crossed his mind there'd be at least one person worth speaking to. Strands of wavy black framed the cutting cheekbone, curling beneath the corner of his jaw for an annoyingly effortless appearance -- yet it wasn't as if Mortimer could see it, since the mirror refused to cooperate. Tapping the taxi-company number into his phone, he brought it to an ear.

"The Atori Manor. Do you know it?"

The ride arrived as expected, Mortimer ducking into the back seat before buckling himself in and making small talk till the Vampire noted a hitchhiker on the side of the road. Considering it was mostly empty asphalt ahead, bordered by treeline -- Briarwood took pity. There was also the small possibility, like many residents of Redwood, she was heading for the lakeside party. Thus he leant forward over his driver's shoulder and motioned at the girl, "Pull over here, I'll pay her expenses." The vehicle came in a smooth curve till it halted a little ways from the young woman, causing Mortimer to push open the door and stick his head out. "Need a lift? We're only going up to the Atori place mind you."

Lissa
Melissa reached for the rag in the dirty bucket, wrinkling her nose slightly as she squeezed it out as best she could. The water in these things never stayed clean for long, which is why they had the spray to clean the tables, too. She picked that up from the shelf where she'd left it, leaving her safe area behind the coffee counter to venture out into the main dining area. Her little coffee shop job wasn't the grandest thing out there, but it helped pay for her apartment. Tips could be decent, depending. A second job might be in her future, though, and she wasn't happy about it.

Working at the coffee shop was a bit much for someone as introverted as her. But finding a job where you didn't have to deal with people was either extremely hard or required a degree, which she didn't have. Hence why she was now cleaning table 7, soon to be followed up by the rest of the ones in this corner. Her shift was almost over, and afterwards, she was looking forward to curling up in her favorite chair at home and reading a good book. TV was nice to get lost in, but books were so much better. You got to paint your own picture, instead of having it done for you. Tonight, she'd be starting Bram Stoker's Dracula, and she was pretty excited, despite the irony.

Lissa had been in Redwood for about a year now, though she didn't have many friends. She had learned a little bit about the town through some talk, and knew there were others like her here. But there were also humans, and others she wasn't so sure about, so she never brought up her powers to anyone. She wasn't very forthcoming with details about herself in general.

Once she finished cleaning, she glanced up at the clock and saw that her shift had ended five minutes ago. As she headed back to drop off the rag and cleaning spray, she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. "A party?" She murmured, slightly confused. Who would have invited her? Her boss rounded the corner then, and she shoved her phone back into her pocket, forgetting about the strange text within minutes. In fact, she'd gotten all the way home before remembering. At first, she felt more than willing to curl up in her chair, but she was a curious person. A part of her really wanted to know who had invited her, and why.

So perhaps that's why she got dressed and headed right back out, arriving at the address on the text a short time later. Immediately, she felt underdressed. Biting her lip, she parked and headed slowly for the party.

Adriana groaned loudly and rolled over onto her back, lazily staring at the ceiling. She was intending to try to sleep but sleep just wouldn't come to her. Even though as a vampire she didn't need to sleep, she liked to. It was interesting to see past memories played back as dreams and it helped her past time during the day. Usually it didn't take her long to knock out, but today her brain just decided to torture her.
With that, she decided to give up. It was the late afternoon now, anyway. She has stayed up all day tossing and turning, and now she ought to actually do something. She didn't have to work at the bar that night, thank god, so the night had an infinite amount of possibilities.

She sat up in bed, running a hand through her tousled black hair and thinking over what she could do. Maybe go out and hunt, maybe go to a nightclub, maybe take a walk? Suddenly, her phoned buzzed beside her. She turned back, adjusting her t-shirt, and grabbed her phone from the nightstand.

After typing in her password, her phone opened up and she read the text. "A party? At that ancient Augustus' house?" She murmured quizzically. She absently dropped her phone in her lap and thought for a moment. She wasn't really the social type, especially with the old vampires who loved their territory and respect and all of that noble junk, but she had to admit a party sounded fun. She hadn't gone out and talked to people in awhile and maybe the party would actually be... good for her? She snorted at the thought.

Whatever. She thought. I guess I'll go. She picked up her phone to read the text again, looking at the details. "Oh shit, it's in less than an hour!"

She tossed her phone to the side and slipped out of her bed, padding quickly across her bedroom to her dresser. She started rummaging through, looking for something comfortable so she wouldn't feel even more uneasy than she knew she already would at a party in such an extravagant place. She settled on a simple striped sweater and some jeans, slipping them on quickly. After that, she turned to her mirror and decided to just pull her hair back into a loose, low bun.

"This'll have to do. Hopefully there's not a dress code." She laughed to herself. Being alone for the majority of almost 80 years made her accustomed to talking and thinking aloud to herself. It would probably made her a seem a little weird. But she was a vampire, after all. So she was already weird. After primping her hair in the mirror she slipped on a pair of old boots she wore often. With one last look in the mirror, she decided she looked fine enough.

Well, here goes nothing. She thought, grabbing her phone from her bed and walking out to her living room. She grabbed her keys from the counter on her way out, swiftly exiting her apartment.

Judah Brankovich

you'll never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
bob marley

1520809383311.png

"If you dare," his father hissed, an accusing finger pointed at Judah. "If you dare leave this family for some---some---" His father threw his hands up, his voice growing angrier as he searched the right word. "Fucked up dream---" He paused, chest heaving, anger written all over his face. The stress of fighting off the vampires was wearing the old man down---he couldn't stay as alpha forever. Judah's mother neared him, placing a delicate hand on her husband shoulder. They both shared a look before turning to Judah.
But he was already gone.

"He hates me," muttered Judah bitterly, turning away. "He's your dad," answered Julia softly, placing a hand on his, which was wrapped around the steering wheel. "He can't hate you." Judah snorted, humoring the idea. He shook his head. "You don't get it," he said, moving his hand away from hers, gazing ahead at the gas joint in front of them. "He wants me to do, be something I don't want. We're fighting through some...things---things that the head of the family's always had to fight. It's been in my family for generations, but I---" He paused, unable to say anymore. He glanced down, feeling a lump form. He refused to let Julia see him cry.
"Anyway," he said, glancing back up, swallowing the lump down. "I-it's nothing new. I'll get over it."
There was a silence. Judah refused to meet her eye.
"Judah."
He glanced up at her. Julia was looking at him, her dark eyes gazing at him with an unexpected seriousness. "Just remember," she said, almost carefully. "Even if he doesn't love you---"
Then, to Judah's surprise, she leaned in and gave him a hug, both arms wrapped around his neck, tightly. Her sweet scent filled his nose. She whispered,
"Remember that I do."

It was raining. Julia's full name on that gravestone flashed through for a few mere seconds, forever engraved to his memory---

"JUDAH!"

Judah opened his eyes, startled. His muscles reacted before his brain did---his hands went straight to the assailant's, his grip iron. He blinked, realizing it wasn't an enemy. It was Vienna. Vienna in a revealing red polka-dotted dress. His gaze went straight to her chest, staring for a few seconds before he broke his focus, kicking himself for being such a moron. He let go of his grip on her hands, and shook his head, sitting up, trying to wave the sleepiness away. He was dressed in a simple, loose, tank top and jeans, all wrinkled after the troublesome nap. He remembered his half dream, half nightmare and growled in annoyance. He whipped the blankets off and stood up, glancing back at Vienna, shifting his clothing, trying to straighten it out, his dark, murky blue gaze sharp even with the lingering fatigue.

"You didn't have to do that," he said, his voice low, turning away to grab his bag that was lying on the ground near the couch. It was annoying the way she had woken him up like that, but he guessed after the many times he had sneaked up on her like that, it was just good ol' payback.
He knew he shouldn't be so cold towards her. Vienna had always stuck by him, even though to be honest, he wouldn't be with him either. It was a miracle how she had been at his side for what---two years now? It didn't matter. Vienna was caring, she was kind, just like her grandmother, who had let Judah crash over more than he could count. No matter how many times he left Redwood, unable to bear the amount of vampire and witch that contaminated the place, they'd always be there, arms open. Judah knew Vienna was something he hadn't had in a long time---a friend. But he had to keep his boundaries. Vienna was also something Judah hadn't had in so long---another Julia. That's why he never opened up to Vienna, telling her the details of his past, him being werewolf; always kept sufficient distance, never letting it go farther than needed. Because in the end, Vienna was human, and he was werewolf. He would outlive her, just like he did Julia, maybe even abandon her the same he had with Julia and worst of all, his family.

He turned around and glanced back at her, finally getting a good look at her in the tight-fitting dress.
"Nice get up," he commented, searching for a decent shirt to slip into. Though he knew Vienna had always liked to dress well, he asked anyway. "What's the occasion?"

83a1ded3336925fd73d164c7e0a6b020.jpg Vienna was going to make it her priority to make Judah startle out of his dream. Call her mischievous, call her playful, either one is fine with Vienna. But she knew this was probably a mistake when she saw how aggressively Judah grabbed her hands, before he could even open his eyes. It was a good thing he didn't try to flip the poor girl on the coffee table. Vienna watched as he came too with such a fierce face on, she was a little taken back. Even though she knew Judah for two years, and knew all his habits, Vienna still felt intimidated by him and it was killing her on the inside. She knew that she couldn't form a relationship other then the one that they have now, but it was nice of her to dream. Vienna didn't really trust the other guys here in town, most at school gave her lustful looks. But Vienna was going to keep her emotions for Judah well hidden, she felt as if he was still holding onto something or maybe someone. Whenever Judah slept over, she would sneak downstairs to grab some food (no wonder homegirl thicc) she could hear him muttering a girls name. Vienna let out a sigh of relief as soon as he released her hands. She also caught him staring at her chest, which didn't surprise Vienna. Often times Vienna is unconscious of her body, but then she is reminded of the way Judah sees her and that hopefully he sees her for who she is. Vienna stood straight with her hand on her hips.

"Awe, is someone mad that I woke him up? Poor baby..." Vienna said with a playful laugh, before she walked to the kitchen which opened up into the living room. Vienna grabbed a grape from the fruit bowl and began chewing it.

Vienna looked up at him from across the room, "Really?" She said with an eyebrow raised. "Does every time I dress up have to be for an occasion? I dress for myself Mr. Brankovich." Vienna added.

Vienna began to walk back into the living room where Judah was changing. She looked away when he was changing because whenever she saw his tatted up chest and back she stared at it a little too much. Vienna would get lost in there, and then blush when he catches her staring so its best for her to be looking elsewhere but him. She walked over to the window to look at her parked jeep. "There's a party going on right now that I was about to go to. Before you say anything, you're tagging along," Vienna ordered him. Vienna didn't even wait for him to give a response to whether he was going with her or not, she knew that he would probably tell her 'no' or make up some type of excuse so she decided for him. What are friends for, ya know?

Judah Brankovich

it's funny how the very absence of someone we love can be the only thing that fills our minds.

Judah rolled his eyes at Vienna's snarky reply back, her playful laugh softening his irritated mood just a hint. He found a decent, not-so-wrinkled shirt at the bottom of his bag, one that had Los Angeles threaded into the front. Judah remembered he had gotten that shirt as a memo from when he had visited the La La Land of America a few years back, spending a few weeks over there. The trip hadn't been forgettable---of course, it was L.A, the entertainment capital of the world. And even though he had just come back from another outing, Judah couldn't help but feel that itch, that insatiable desire to explore once more, taste the taste of freedom, get his heart beating faster, his blood rushing as he drives across the endless miles of road and countryside. It had been a kind of error of destiny that he had been born the eldest, destined to be something he was not. He wasn't the stable, grounded alpha his father was and expected him to be, the kind of leader his family all needed him to be. Instead, they had gotten a free spirit, a vagabond, as fleeting and swift as the wind itself. Always curious, always wanting more than just the boundaries of Redwood.
And now, with Vienna mentioning a party, that desire grew more powerful by the second. Judah wasn't one for socializing. He was still healing old wounds---the passing of Julia, of his parents---the emptiness of Rosewood now that the Brankovichs, his whole family, had scattered---the guilt was still there, gnawing at Judah's soul. It was painful really---to be the whole reason why your family had fallen, split and scattered as the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. Judah wouldn't be surprised if he was the only werewolf in town.

He knew he couldn't get out of this one. He couldn't just say he had to leave for God who knows where---he had just come back. Judah glanced outside, gazing at Vienna's jeep parked at the front of the house, trying to decide. He glanced back at Vienna for a second. He sighed internally. To be blunt, it had been weeks since they had last done anything together, with him scurrying across the country and what not. And every time, she had waited for him, no questions asked, as playful and genuine as ever. He owed this to her. Even when the town was crawling with vermin like witches and vampires. Who knows, this might even be fun.

He finished up with the buttons and sighed, coming over to the counter, popping a grape into his mouth. He gazed back outside, seeing both his parked motorbike and the jeep. He glanced back at Vienna, a good-natured tint to his sea-blue eyes.

"Who's driving?"

83a1ded3336925fd73d164c7e0a6b020.jpg Vienna watched as he began to ponder about it when she had turned around knowing and hoping that he was done putting his clothes on. Vienna tried her best to always be there for Judah, even if it meant letting him crash on her grandmothers couch. But Vienna felt a little dirty for not telling him of what she was, she was going to tell him a year ago when she thought she was ready. But, one day they were talking about the amount of tourist that come in and it was because of the supernatural legends that haunted this town of Redwood. Judah had expressed his dislike of vampires and witches. When he talked of how much he despised those creatures, she got chills on her back. It sounded like such hatred. That day, Vienna stayed quiet and allowed him to talk the rest of the day. Vienna knew that he would judge her and probably not be friends with her anymore because of her being a witch, well half witch. And not to mention that she kept the secret from him for so long. Vienna didn’t want to jeopardize their relationship by saying what she is, she knew that if he left her, she would be devastated, so she remained silent all these years.

Vienna knew that maybe one day she could tell him and he could understand. But she knew with the temper and stubbornness that he had, there was no way she could find the courage to say what she was. Vienna looked around to see that he was eating a grape. He was her best friend, she couldn’t ruin that. He was all she had, besides her grandmother. Her father had dissappeared to god knows where, so instead of having a father figure in her life to protect her. She has Judah, her savior. Vienna looked at him when he asked who was driving, she did a little wiggle when she realized that he agreed to going with her. “Clearly I’m driving...in my car, lord only knows that I can’t ride that motorcycle of yours, dressed like this.” She told him as she did a complete 360 in front of him. Vienna liked that she could be herself in front of Judah, it was nice and that is one of the reasons why she loved their friendship. Neither of them judged each other for who they are (personality wise of course). There was acceptance, and Vienna liked that.

As Adrianna stepped out of her apartment building she took a deep breath and looked up at the dark sky. Finally, the sun had set. Adriana missed the day sometimes, she especially missed how the summer sun felt on her skin, but she had learned to love the night just as much. Nothing really compares to a sky full of stars, after all.

She lowered her gaze and checked the time on her phone, mulling over possible ride options. She wouldn’t be late if she took a cab, but she probably would be if she biked. She wasn’t old for a vampire, so she wasn’t exactly fast enough to be able to just run there. So, in the end, she settled on the cab. Pulling out her phone, she dialed the number of a cab service and told them her address. After a short wait an old yellow cab pulled up out front, honking. That didn’t take long. She thought as she approached the cab. All of the cabs must be out already, taking every person in this tiny town to Augustus’ mansion.

Adriana swung the back door open and climbed inside. “Atori Manor, please.” She said to the driver, leaning forward to the front seat. The driver scoffed. “I figured.” He muttered, pulling the car away from the curb and setting off down the street. “Everyone and their mother are going there tonight. What’s going on, anyway?”

Adriana sat back and looked outside the window. “A party. A pretty large one, I think.” She answered. With that, no more words were exchanged the whole rest of the drive to Atori Manor. When the cab came to a bumbling stop in front of the beautiful manor Adriana paid him with cash and told him to keep the change. He saluted her and she stepped out, barely being able to close the door before the cab sped off. The manor probably scared him off. Or at least the rumors about it did.

Adriana adjusted her sweater, taking a deep breath, and started walking up the path to the front door. Before she even reached the entrance she could hear chatter from inside the house. It looked like it was going to be a pretty big party, just as she suspected.

It took approximately thirty minutes for Kinsley to pick out a single outfit- by the time she was done fixing her hair and finishing up her makeup, it was already a few minutes past the time the party was supposed to start. A bright red blouse and dark pants were her outfit of choice, and she decided to simply keep her hair down. Kinsley messed with her hair infront of her mirror for a few minutes before she looked down and checked her watch. Cursing at the time, Kinsley squiftly left her room and grabbed her purse. Heading out of her apartment, Kinsley watched as a group of younger teens hopped into a cab. It seemed like everyone in town wasn't missing out on this event. Kinsley sighed and took her keys out of her bag, opening her car and hopping inside. Soon enough she was making her way to the lake, checking herself in the car mirror several times as she had a sinking feeling that she might see someone familiar at the party.

A few more minutes of driving soon revealed the Atori Manor in all its glory. Standing high above everything, Kinsley couldn't help but scoff at the overly exaggerated building. She had only been to the place a couple times with her father, but that was all business related. This was different- a time to relax and mingle. Kinsley just hoped she didn't awkwardly bump into her exe while trying to have a good time.

Kinsley parked her car near the entrance. The lot was pretty empty considering the majority of the guest took cabs. It seemed like the residents of Redwood weren't very fond of automation. The witch got out of her car, taking a moment to take in the sight, and then promptly began her walk towards the party. She was only fifteen minutes late- it's not like much was missed. Kinsley followed behind the same group of teenagers from earlier into the mansion, eyes wide as she took in the party infront of her.

Kiera looked as the cab slowly began pulling up beside her. Her smile beamed knowing now she wouldn’t have to walk the whole way. When the head of a man poked out she blinked at his looks before shaking away her thoughts. He was handsome to say the least. Before she could say anything he mentioned about going to the exact same place she was expected to go to. Kiera’s brows quirked at the mention before she became rather curious. “I’m actually going there too.” Looking to the cab driver she gave a thumbs up before running round the side of the cab and hopping in.

“Thankyou for er, letting me drive with you.” Her voice was sweet and grateful, she wanted to make sure that he knew that she was both of those things at the same time. When she continued to think for a moment her mind swept straight to the price of the travel itself. “Oh gosh! How much do I owe you for this?” Her head tilted as she wandered if she had enough money on her, fingers crossed she hoped it wouldn’t be to high.

When atori finished with the fliers and made it back home he had noticed many of the younger kids were already there. Yet his eye was caught by a slightly familiar face. She worked at the hospital he had just helped to refurbish. He scanned his brain as he approached finally putting a face to the name at the last second. "Doctor Wright, So nice of you to join us. I didn't think you'd be able to. Wont the hospital need you?" Atori said walking gracefully to her. "if you arent dreadfully busy i could use some help setting up one last thing in the lake. The sun is setting and it must be done before hand, but alas i cannot be in two places at once." his smile was large and one could easily see how genuine it was. It was as if he had a surprise in mind, one he knew was a good one. "afterwards ill treat you to some wine, and give you the VIP tour. Of the party what do you say?"he made an effort to show that he wasnt flirting, simply a hosts question. Miles away in all directions he hears cabs, cars, trucks, even boot crunching foliage underfoot. From the sounds of it the entire town was coming all the more reason to get the lake finished in a timely manner.

Theo let out a yawn bringing a hand up to stifle it as he opened the door to his aunt's house. He just worked the early morning shift at the bar and man was he tired. He glanced down at his phone as a text message came through causing the phone to let out a loud ding. He unlocked his phone and shit the door to the house behind him. A party could be interesting, he thought, locking his phone and slipping it into his back pocket. Theo beelined through the house to the kitchen, stomach grumbling in response as he got closer, bar food was not a good breakfast substitute. Carson was sitting at the counter a bowl of cereal in front of him, a large smile spreading across his features as Theo entered. "Hey, Cuz!" he greeted. Theo gave a wide smile back and returned the greeting before pulling out some lunch from the fridge. Theo pulled his phone out again and checked the time. It was almost time for the party, so he had to eat quick and get ready. "Are you going to that party?" Carson asked, looking up from his food. Theo just nodded, before he bit into his sandwich. "Are you?" he asked around a mouthful of food. Carson quickly explained that he had to go back to his college, cause he had to work.

Theo quickly finished his food and sprinted up the stairs to his room and looked at his closet for good party attire. He finally settled on a white shirt, a jean jacket, and a pair of maroon pants. He quickly took a shower and styled his hair, giving himself the once over for a approval before calling a cab to pick him up at the house, so he could start the journey to the party. He hoped Adriana was there, he didn't even think to text her and ask if she was going to go. Theo shrugged and pocketed his phone before heading downstairs, yelling a quick goodbye to anyone in the house, before slipping into the cab and rattling off the address to the party. In the cab, Theo pulled out his phone and shot a quick text to Adriana.

Are you going to the party at Atori Manor? I'm on my way to there now!

He let out a pleasant, baritone chuckle. Rolling through his chest with pleasant thunder at the excitement of her expression, "Really? Quite the lucky coincidence then." At her offer to pay, however, Briarwood shook his head. "I can pay. I like to think of it as doing my good deed for a day." Mortimer then shot the girl a charming smile, "But if you insist on returning the favour, I wouldn't mind knowing your name." His head tilted, the cab beginning to pull away from the lay-by and roll across the tarmac smoothly. "I'm Mortimer." The Vampire offered a cold, lily-white hand.

They were a little late, but since when did anyone get to a party on time? It had forever and always been the unspoken rule that you waited for someone else to arrive first, for those who were unfamiliar with the place they were attending -- or believing they didn't deserve his punctuality. Augustus might've been a fellow Vampire, but Mortimer had adjusted to a less lavish lifestyle over the years and since his travels across the globe enjoyed the sense of survival that came with it. Especially with a signed copy of the Communist Manifesto in his home, Briarwood wasn't a fan of the methods employed by the old families. Relics from a colonial past. Personally, he wasn't power-hungry; in fact, he had thirst ever more so to accomplish as many books as he could get his hands on -- learn as many languages as he could, and drink as much wine as he could. Not a bad goal.

The drive was unexciting, being a mixture of countryside and road, till they finally pulled up in the driveway of the stately Atori home. Stepping out of the cab, Mortimer brushed his shoulders off and straightened his jacket. Slamming the door behind him, he leant into the window of the cabbie and pulled out a wallet -- ensuring Keira wouldn't see how much to avoid any further guilt over the subject, slipping the notes into hand and tapped his fingertips on the roof of the vehicle. Something left over from the days of carriages, which was a habit he had yet to let fade. To be fair, Mortimer still had medieval superstitions on top of anything else he managed to pick up. At some point, immortals just accepted that science was science and Pluto wasn't a planet. Living a long time meant acceptance became second nature.

His unlikely passenger was indeed a pretty one, yet the short car ride had him hesitate. From all that his senses were telling him, she was human. Of course, usually all humans in Redwood were exposed to the supernatural within the time they spent living and working there, although Briarwood cleared his throat. He shouldn't be concerned for a human of all things. "Do you know Augustus personally?"

As Adriana entered the manor her phone buzzed. She made her way through the crowd to a corner of the room before she pulled her phone out, unlocking it. It was a text from Theo. She read it over before replying.
Yeah, I actually just got there. She sent, smiling lightly before shooting out another text. Surprised to see me out of my house?
She closed her phone and slipped it in her pocket, deciding to try to find where the alcohol was. Moving through the crowd again, she strained her neck in an attempt to spy some bottles. She also inhaled, using her heightened sense of smell to try to pick out the scent of alcohol as well. There was so much fresh blood in the room, though, and the scent of it almost made her salivate. She shook her head, swallowing. Not now. She told herself. Feeding isn't why I came here. Although, I almost suspect finding some new victims is exactly why Augustus threw this thing.

Eventually, Adriana found the alcohol. "Hellooo, ladies." She snickered lightly to the bottles, preparing herself a drink. After filling a glass high she turned away from the table, taking a sip. When you've been alive for almost 100 years a lot of food loses its appeal. Especially when you don't need to eat food. Alcohol, though, never got old.

She took another sip, scanning the room for anyone she might know. Near the door, she spotted the man of the house... Augustus. She looked him up and down over her drink. Practically every vampire in Redwood knew each other, and if they had never personally met, they definitely knew of each other. Augustus was probably one of the most well known, if not well feared and respected, vampires in Redwood. He's definitely the oldest, Adriana thought to herself. She had met him once or twice, never on formal terms, though. Adriana mostly kept to herself and kept to her territory, so she didn't run into a lot of other vampires that often. She wasn't interested in power or respect, she left that to the older guys.

She noticed who he was talking to then. A woman with long, ginger hair who Adriana had never seen before. Adriana slowly and absent-mindedly lowered her glass from her lips. She could sense she was human, or at least mortal, and she could smell old blood on her. Not hers, someone else's. Werewolf blood. Adriana scrunched her nose at the musky, putrid scent.
That didn't make sense. When would a human have been covered in werewolf blood?
Adriana continued to mull it over. Maybe she was a doctor or something?

She lifted her glass again and took a sip, looking over the woman one last time.

Then, she turned and looked away. That's enough. She walked away from the table, back into the crowd.

William Rundell Haus Code
09-a-white-suit-a-white-shirt-and-bow-tie-copper-shoes-for-a-formal-white-party.jpg

A silent gale breezed through the dark, lonely streets in the quieter part of town. Here was a place in Redwood during the waning hours where things went unnoticed, secrets were whispered unheard and the supernatural could do as they pleased without detection. William’s moonlit silhouette strode off up the street to the background of the horizon, his slender figuring almost gliding forward.

Now, William had business to do. Redwood didn’t stay peaceful despite the plethora of supernatural reasons waiting to burst out in violence because of pure magical fantasy. The magic was actually a lot more scientific and practical. Vampires were definitely a problem: they fed on humans and could potentially convert their entire species into vampires, leading to an obvious shortage of food for said vampires. This meant that older vampires such as William had to manage territories to ensure such a thing could never be allowed to occur.

Tonight was a night on which William had to uphold this duty. His snow-white long coat waved elegantly in the light night wind. Some would argue that such a fashion decision might remove the possibility of stealth, but William could kill those naysayers before they knew that he had even made a move. The knowing smile on his face gave off this undaunted confidence as he swiftly entered a nearby alley. He had discovered news of a rogue vampire converting humans in town. Knowing it would be best to nip this in the bud, William had made his preparations quickly. Crouching at the end of the alley, which conveniently happened to be a dead end, William saw a hunched over figure crouching by the two decoys he’d sent. One of the poor humans was currently being sucked dry by the vampire, while the other was twitching on the ground. The shadows cast by the alley shadowed William as he slowly approached, unsettlingly creating literally no noise as he moved.

Perhaps by luck, or his enhanced sense of smell, the rogue vampire suddenly stiffened and raised his nose in the air, furiously sniffing. The smile grew wider and more grim, almost quivering in anticipation on William’s face. The flash of moonlight off the reflective glasses was what finally grabbed the rogue’s attention, whirling around in a startled fashion to meet...

“My, my. How unfortunate you are.”

There was a wet splatting sound. The rogue looked down in surprised horror at the thin arm that was currently piercing him in the centre of his abdomen. Blood began to soak into the long pristine white sleeve of the long coat. Shaking as he felt his body going weak, the rogue vampire looked back to the face of the one so effortlessly impaling him. William could only offer an apologetic smile as he removed his glasses to reveal a pair of eyes that took on a deep, hypnotic purple glow. This was no trick of the low light, a magic substance burned bright in his irises that swirled in mesmerising patterns for the rogue vampire.

“Au revoir~”

William threw the body to the side as the glow in his eyes died down, allowing him to don his glasses again. It would cause problems if a curious witch somehow found its body and decided to magically view its memories, he didn’t need anything illegal following him around at this stage of his plan. Erasing that vampire’s memories was the easiest way to avoid that. With a careless wave of his bloodstained gloved hand, two indistinguishable men in dark trench coats and low-brim hats briskly strode past him. The command was obvious: ‘finish them off’. The muted sound of silenced sub machine gun fire ensured that this happened; for the defeated rogue vampire and the soon-to-be offspring he was about to create. It was now just a case of catching those he had already turned, then William could be done with that matter. It seemed not tonight, however. A silent vibration in his pocket alerted the noble vampire to a message on his phone. Pulling the device out and reading it, William raised an appreciative eyebrow in mild surprise, a quirky smile rising on his lips once more. Nothing like working off the fatigue of a hard day doing your job like a goodbye party. Augustus had probably invited quite the delicious selection of guests this time.

“Well, it would be rude not to at least show my face. I suppose this has been a long time coming.”

Stopping short of the sleek white limousine that smoothly pulled up to the street side, William stepped into his vehicle and sat down comfortably as the door was closed behind him by the chauffeur. Augustus’ party was likely to be a big one and William briefly wondered if he should throw his own party in the definitely larger and probably more grand mansion of his just outside of town. More space, more drinks, more fun, more everything. But then that would put the spotlight on William, and he could not have that at all. If Augustus wasn’t made to look like the top weredog in Redwood, prying eyes would peer in William’s direction. And what those curious few might learn from his doings could prove very dangerous, for him and them both. But such a thing wouldn’t happen, naturally. The limousine eventually stopped at the Atori Manor, snapping William out of his thoughts.

As the door opened for him, he stepped out with a devilishly handsome smile on his face, new long coat replacing the bloodsoaked one and an ornate wooden cane adorned with a crystal gem in the pommel in hand. Glancing around to assess the available choices, William spent no time striding purposefully through the front door as if he owned the place. It was entertaining to see as the mortals around him stared in wonder at his appearance and confidently demeanour, having no idea who he was. Indeed, not many did. Some knew of the rumours of the mysterious millionaire that lived just the other side of the lake beyond the tree line, but some said rumours were just rumours after all. Once he had made his entrance, William discreetly made his way through the crowd to find himself a secluded corner. Perhaps by magic, a glass of fine wine had somehow found it’s way into his hand as he strode through the throng of bodies, although the man who had previously been holding it was not too pleased about where his drink had disappeared to. Occasionally glancing about, William once caught sight of Augustus somewhere across the room. Interesting, he had a female with him. It was probably best to remain unseen for now, so William stuck to the dark corner with his wine, grinning as events at the party unfolded.

Kiera smiled as he said it was his good dead for the day. So many people didn’t know what they were anymore it saddened her o think about at times. Thankfull today wasn’t one of those. When he asked for her name instead of payment she grasped his hand softly as he introduced himself aswell. “My name is Kiera. Kiera Chak: it’s nice to meet you. Even if this is a strange occasion.” Letting go of his hand shortly after hers returned to her lap though one fiddled with her crystal. Thinking of good thoughts, she hoped her crystal would emit a good aura around her giving a good feeling to the time she had ahead.

Being called mad before for her belief in the wild and wonderful was a often occurrence but she payed no mind to it. Though sometimes it did often get to much to hear, either making her doubt it or even come up in anger. But nowadays it rarely happened, case of keeping it in her private life.

Most of the ride she stared out the window taking in the beauty of the place she lived in. People told stories but she never listened to them. She loved her Redwood. Her sweet little Redwood. No one could change her mind, no matter how many times they had tried.

When he can stopped, Kiera let herself out and closed the door softly, too soft to shut it properly so she tried again but with a much harder push. Thankfully it worked the second time. Looking out the place they arrived, it was vastly different from where she stayed herself. Too big for her liking; small and humble places we’re her thing. Looking to Mortimer she had a calming expression before he asked her a question. “I don’t. I know his family name and that’s about it.” Shrugging during her answer she slowly began to walk up to the home with careful steps. Continuously twiddling the crystal between her fingers.

The Vampire met her gaze, something which retained an untold comfort. Like a warm hearth on a cold day. "Ah, as I suspected. Just keep your wits around him and the other royal pain, William. Wouldn't like the party to end on a dour note." Mortimer winked, joining her on the climb up the steps to the manor. Lovely design no less, still, the bigger the house the less humble the soul was more or less the case. Tucking his hand into a trouser pocket he noted the crystal Kiera fidgeted with, out the corner of his eye. Arching a brow, the Vampire motioned towards it. "Amythest?" He might as well converse whilst he had the chance, for Briarwood supposed he'd be hunting down the bar most the night. His now-acquaintance appeared friendly enough after all. Quirky but kind, from what he'd gleaned during their short car journey - her name was foreign too, yet Chak was common enough he couldn't make anything of it.

Entering the entrance hall and viewing those who had already arrived, Mortimer adjusted his posture accordingly. Reining his shoulders back, he moved with the grace and etiquette of bygone days - towering above most who collected beneath the fine, arched ceilings. Even after the church had been renovated to accommodate the lifestyle which had so blasphemously replaced the pews and altars, he felt uneasy. Ever since Eleanor, he'd despised places of worship, remarking them as a saddening sight. Once upon a time, the stone floors of a place like this had run red with choir boys blood and a priests innards. Once upon a time. Before skin became ash and dwindled upwards into the skies. Bones beautiful and charred, thrown into the lake their son had drowned in. Never to be found, never to be held, and never to be put to rest.

He grimaced at the dark turn of his thoughts and inhaled; chest rising without really breathing. Not like he used to. Four hundred years and it still managed to haunt him when standing in those eerily similar halls. Briarwood was overwhelmed with the scent of human, interrupted by a scattering of witches, wolves, and Vampiric kin. His canines ached thinking about it, alas, the thought was forcefully dismissed. "Enjoy your night, Ms. Chak. I hope you'll be doing better at mingling than I." He mused.

Kinsley had only been at the party for a moment she was suddenly interrupted by a voice that sounded vaguely familiar-

"Doctor Wright, so nice of you to join us. I don't think you'd be able to. Won't the hospital need you?"

Kinsley furrowed her eyebrows at the voice of the host himself. She took a moment to say a short goodbye to an old teacher she was chatting with before she turned to face Augustus.

"Mr. Atori. What a pleasant surprise." Kinsley began in a formal greeting, offering a friendly smile. However, her stance was a little tense. "I'm sure the hospital is fine without me, if you're worried about their lack of staff."

Kinsley trailed off and allowed Augustus to continue talking, listening with slight interest as she became curious about the task at hand. The witch wondered what needed help to this extent, but the offer of free wine and VIP access to this large mansion seemed to pique her interest. However, Kinsley knew to be cautious. Atori and her father hadn't left off on great terms. The woman took her eyes away from the host for a moment and glanced around the room. She quickly caught someone looking over at her- a paler woman with dark hair. Most likely a vampire. Kinsley tried to offer a swift smile, but the woman looked away before she had the chance.

Kinsley turned back to Augustus once more and presented a teasing smile.

"As long as you don't consider this a date then I'll be glad to join you."

Augustus smiled even wider and his nostrils flared as he detected williams scent. It seemed his guest of honor had arrived. Yet he made a point to keep his attention focused on Dr.Wright. "a date? Hardly. This wouldnt be a proper venue for such thing." he gestured for her to follow as he walked closer to the lake slowly a boathouse came into view. "i have a surprise planned for the lake and it requires the boat and a dive. Unfortunatly i cannot fit the wetsuit i have, and i think you might be able to. Ill drive us out there, you dive and put the fuse where i tell you and voila, you are done shouldnt take more than ten minutes." he checked his watch and nodded in assurance. Continuing his walk to the boat house. Sure he could've done this himself, but his suit was not made to get wet and it would not do for a guest to spot him emerging from the lake naked. He chuckled a bit at the thought as he fished the key to the boat house out of his pocket.
