A kingdom divided is a not a true kingdom, but what can be done? Especially when two brothers can't see eye to eye about things due to their past. The Second son of Koton, Leonard, part of the Royal Raingale family. He holds the powers of shadow and light. His brother, the first son, Drake is the shunned prince and seen as the reason for anything bad that has happened to their lands and the reason why their father is dead. Leonard doesn't know the real reason behind their fathers death, but the Drake does. Drake stays off in his darker palace while Leonard seems to be so full of light and goodness. So what will happen? Will Drake keep the secret, will he find love and the light for living again. Will Leonard stay in the light or will things turn dark and destroy the last of the Royal Raingale Family.

It was a beautiful sunny day and Greendale was a flutter with joy and laughter. The townspeople were moving about and decorating the town as much as they could. The news of a princess from another kingdom had most peoples hearts filled with joy. Not all of them felt that joy, but most had hopes that this Princess would be able to finally stop the feud between the princes. Though some thought she might just bring more problems, after all some of them knew that this princess had been exiled for some sort of crime.

Alec Zanter - 26 - Pegasus - Water & Wind Manipulation
Alec walked with the carriage, his hand resting on the neck of one of the horses that walked behind the carriage. He gave the horse two solid Pat's before picking up his pace to walk by the window of the carriage. "Milady I think it's time to change the horses. We still have about an hour or two till we reach the Galrina Kingdom. Pep and Gale are well rested and would be good team to arrive with. Link and Vin have been pulling this carriage long enough we wouldn't want two sweaty worn horses pulling your carraige into the town." Perhaps it was a bit odd to use your average horse when they themselves were of the equine type. Using oxen however wasn't an option, not to mention it would take a much longer time to travel. Link didn't seem to like Alec's words and snorted at him. Alec just laughed slightly as his long green blue hair swayed with the light wind. He closed his eyes taking in the scents that came to him using his powers to strengthen that wind. There was the smell of animals along with a faint scent of salty water. Was there a sea nearby the Galrina Kingdom? He thought he had heard of such, but had only ever seen the rivers and large lakes.

Drake Raingale - 25 - Pegacorn - Light and Shadow
Drake walked through the halls of his castle silently looking out the windows. He knew that the people of Greendale had to be abuzz getting things ready for Princess Lanveil's arrival. He sighed stopping at one window as he watched the sky, the sun rising higher and higher. "She should be arriving sometime today. Which means I will have to face him today..." He ran a hand through his hair, sadness filling his blue eyes. He really did miss the closeness that he once had with his brother but that was long gone now.

Serabelle Dontin - 20 - Human - Water Manipulation
Serabelle hummed a song as she kneaded some bread dough. She had been making breads of all sorts since about three in the morning. She wanted to make sure she had plenty of breads for the festivities that were taking place today. She had sweet buns, flat breads, dry breads, and sourdough as well. Some had raisins and cinnamon or molasses and apples mixed in them. She grabbed one of the sweet buns taking a bite out of it, she had been up making so much bread she hadn't even eaten yet. She also worried about the two Prince's, would Drake and Leonard be okay when greeting the Princess? She sighed before turning her attention back to the bread she was kneading, it was almost done then she planned to make be a special bread. It was a bit different from her usual breads and would be easy to make as long as she measured the ingredients just right. She was going to make lemon bread for the coming Princess and hoped she would enjoy it.

Lila's red brown eyes opened, blinking slowly as she tried to focus. There was a strange sound and a salty smell. Soon something cold touched her feet rushing up her legs. She freaked out until she glanced down and found herself looking out at the sea? She went to push herself up but found her wrists chained, "Where...." Her head was pounding where was she, "More importantly...who am I?" Tears pricked her eyes she didn't know, she didn't know and it terrified her. She stood with some difficulty looking around. What had happened, there were the remains of a boat. She tired to remember but it made her head throb more so she began to walk aimlessly. She felt a cold pressure on her neck, lifting her hands she felt a metal choker with a part of broken chain on it. Just where had she come from...

Damon Raingale - 46 - Centaur - Blue flames
Damon turned slightly in his lavish bed, his cold silver eyes searching for his toy. She wasn't in bed with him and from the feel of the sheets she had left the bed some time ago. He wandered if she was making him food or tending to her precious garden. He only allowed her the privilege of the garden because it brought in a decent profit. He closed his eyes eyes once again wanting to get a bit more shut eye before tracking down his toy. She knew not to go far especially not without informing him. She also knew better than to try and run away, punishment was severe if she tried that little trick.

Leonard Raingail

Leonard sat inside his carriage and thought. From the outside he looked calm, but inside he was panicking. "Greet the princess, be polite, go. Greet the princess, be polite-" he told himself over and over. He had no quarrel with the princess, lord knows he needed all the allies he could get right now. No it wasn't her he was worried about, it was him. He had avoided talking to him ever since they'd managed to negotiate peace, but there was no getting around it now. He knew logically that going to the party was advantageous to him, it might even be fun. However, he couldn't just relax when he knew he would soon be attending a party with a murderer.

Barion Archin

Like almost everyone else in the town of Greendale, Barion was helping get ready for the big party. He was in charge of the decorating many of the higher areas as his horse legs gave him extra height. He could not even begin to describe how excited and amazed he was. The town he had lived in his entire life, the town he had helped remodel, was soon to hold a party with not one, not two, but three royals! He didn't care if one of them was likely never to reach the throne this was big! It was astounding to him that this town could ever have become this important. This was going to be a great night and he doubted anything could ruin it for him.

And later for those of you who didnt get to go to the party, tomorrow I'll give an inside scoop and will try to get an exclusive interview with the princess! I'll be taking your calls now"

Iris was in quite a hopeful mood, anticipating the party set out for her. The carriage had been travelling at a steady pace for quite a while now, and her excitement seemed to grow with every passing minute. "Ah yes, that would be a good idea. Please change them over, for me. Thank you Alec." She beamed warmly, before continuing to looking at the scenery around her. She had heard of the Galrina kingdom in passing rumours and books, although it is a shame now that the kingdom is divided. She hoped that at her welcome celebration, the princes wouldn't start a scene. Nonetheless, she continued her trip in pleasant anticipation of the rumoured kingdom. "Say Alec, what have you heard about the kingdom?" He might have heard passing rumours about the kingdom from the lower class, that she wouldn't have.

Nina waddled her way into town looking at all of the festivities. The townspeople really were prepping for the princess to visit and the excitement was almost palpable. After selling her supply of flowers to the local florist, Nina made her way to Serabelle's shop. Nina glanced at the list of items her master wished for her to cook for him:

Teas
steak
pork
pasta
apples
cheeses
cookbooks
cake and pie stuff
sweet buns
eggs
biscuits and gravy
ingredients for pizza
ice cream

The first stop on her shopping list was Serabelle. "Good morning," Nina called as she waddled in. The fresh scars showing on her arms from her master's cruel game he played last night.

Alec Zanter - 26 - Pegasus - Water & Wind Manipulation
Alec stopped tue horses and began to unhook the harnesses. "Things I've heard....well i hear that they have some of the most beautiful views around here. If I remember correctly the oldest brothers castle is actually close to tue side of a cliff and from there you can see the most beautiful sunsets and the ocean. I'm sure once we meet the two brothers you can ask the oldest to see that view." He hooked up Pep and Gale making sure they were hooked up nice and snug. "Though with the rumors hanging around the oldest brother I won't leave you alone with him. Now as for the youngest prince i hear his castle is huge and filled with wonders and such. Also I think there are mountains nearby the young princes castle. If you wished to stay in either of their castles I would suggest Prince Leonard's. I'd feel you were safer staying in his castle." He stopped in front of the door of the carriage opening it. He bowed to her, "That I will leave up to you of course milady. Before we head on would you like to change into a different dress or keep the current one on. From here out I will be in my Pegasus form because that was what i told both princes to look for. I tend to stand out with my hair and such." He said with a slight grin.

Drake Raingale - 25 - Pegacorn - Light and Shadow
Drake turned from the window and walked down the steps leading to the entrance. "Sir do you want to go by car or carraige?" Drake shook his head, "Niether" the servant was a bit taken aback, "E-excuse me sir?" Drake smiled and the servant blushed a bit, "I plan to go for a fly today so I'll get there when I do." "Yes sir." Drake began walking before his feet his the dirt outside hooves touched down. Soon he launched himself into the air, his wings beating against the gentle breeze as he soared into the sky. A good fly would help him clear his mind, looking out to the ocean.

Serabelle Dontin - 20 - Human - Water Manipulation
Serabelle was in the middle of mixing the mix for the lemon bread, she had decided to add a bit more of a twist to it. Putting a bit of orange maralade into it to add to the flavor. She really hopped that the Princess would enjoy it, she turned as the bell of her shop rang. Sera knew that voice before she even saw who it was, "Oh Nina!!!" Her smile faltered as her eyes landed on the scars that marred the pregnant woman's arms. Sera walked over pulling her into a hug, "I so wish I could do more for you but I know you would just get punished even worse if he ever got his hands on you again." She pulled back, "I have some special muffins for you if you think you can eat. It should make your stomach a little more settled and your little one is bound to enjoy it. Also I'll make you some raspberry leaf tea, I bet you have a lot you have to get for Him...so I don't see why you can sit down and enjoy some warm tea and muffins."

Lila Zen - 19 - Horse - Plant manipulation & Zoolingualism
Lila just walked looking for some sort of path to follow, the sound of waves was about the only thing that seemed to calm her. She wasn't sure why the water calmed her, she also didn't seem to notice that vines were slowly growing behind her as she walked. 'What an odd person, mama mama can I go play?' 'No sweety she smells like blood and looks like she is homeless' She turned to the sound of the voice expecting to see people. Instead she found herself staring at two dogs, she looked around confused, "I'm sure I heard two people talking..." 'But mama she looks so lost...and hurt. People are our friends.' The collie mother sighed, 'Fine son we will lead her to the town near here. After that she will be fine.' Lila watched the two dogs, they were talking and she could hear it. Was that normal in this world, maybe it was she had no memory. "If you would help me that'd be great." She said walking over to the collie family, 'Mama she is talking to us.' the mother collie looked at her oddly, 'Dear can you hear us?' Lila nodded, "Yes is that something that isn't normal here? I understand you like you were my kind."

Damon Raingale - 46 - Centaur - Blue flames
Damon finally rose from bed he looked around and still didn't see his toy around. He went to look in the kitchen and didn't see her, his stomach twisted. "Where is she..." He went out to the garden, hoping to find her there but she wasn't. He turned storming back inside slamming the door shut. One of the maids flinched backing away and it caught his attention. "Did you help her escape!!!" He charged the woman pinning her to the wall with his hand at her throat. His hoove stomping down on the floor echoing in the room. "S-sir she went sh-shopping...." The maids words slowly registered in his mind he vaguely remember Nina telling him about going to town to get stuff for him. He let the woman drop back to the floor and she ran off scared. He huffed, "Yes and that had caused me to miss my target with one of my daggers."

Nina sighs and offers a reassuring smile to her friend. "Sera...If you are offering muffins and tea I would gladly take some to go. You make the best muffins in town," She giggles softly as the little one kicked inside her. "What's the occasion with such special bread?" She asks while viewing all of the ingredients that Sera had laid out. "not trying to impress the princess are ya?"

Two sets of wingbeats echoed through the air as a pair of Pegasi threw on the warm updrafts of wind spiraling up from the earth below. Mother and daughter landed upon the ground with a clattering of hooves and shifted back into their human forms as they landed within the town square where it was said a princess from another kingdom would be arriving from. The mother Pegasus lowered herself to the ground, allowing her mate to get off her back and in a few moments a dark skinned female appeared in an ankle length green dress with narrow sleeves. Maetasia stayed within her pegasus body, the wind ruffling her mane as she folded her wings against her sides as her mother straightened up from the ground with her stepfather's help and looked around for her younger half-brother. "Mother, where is Vizeidon?"

"Your brother has to work today...it's his first day in the mines," said Aphrolona.

"Oh," said Maetasia sadly.

Vizeidon stamped a hoof on the ground as he stood in line with some other newcomers to the mines, the winged centaur surprised he was not the youngest member lining up for work. His brows furrowed in confusion at young foals standing in line but didn't inquire as to what was going on with the fact that foals needed to be working. When he was called forward there was a short discussion explaining what he would do and he then found himself hitched up to a railway cart with some other centaurs as the horse shifters and humans got into the cart and the centaurs began pulling it into the mines. It seemed the centaurs would be pulling equipment and such other things as needed within the mines.

Serabelle smiled softly, "I just want her to feel welcome here!!! Though I don't know if she likes lemon and orange but i hope she does. Want to pick the spoon and tell me what you think of the taste. Not sure how the little one would react to lemon but oranges are good for you." She wanted Nina to have a small break before her shopping but the girl was rather stubborn when she was free lile this. "I'll pack the muffins for you and they are for you alone Demon won't like them. They are made with lavender and elm bark powder. So it's not sweet sweet you can tell him if he has a problem with me giving you medical muffins he can come to me. I'll beat the crap out of him myself." She said swinging her fist up in the air, kneading bread all the time had given her some muscle.

"It seems the decision lies between a cliff or a mountain." She chuckled softly. In all honesty, the cliff sounded far more interesting than the mountain, most likely due to her siblings forcefully sending on 'holidays' to such mountains. But nonetheless, she tried to remain open minded. The rumours surrounding the princes were rather typical of politics, but still concerning, so she understood his worry. She enjoyed treating her servants as friends rather than simple slaves of labour, although her siblings looked down on her for it. Though if she was exiled, was she really still a princess? She shook her head, such sad thoughts would dampen her mood before the party.

"I quite like the dress I'm wearing right now. So let's get going." Her dress was a blend of regal blues and silver linings, one of the few clothes she managed to keep after being exiled. Her hair was adorned with simple wild flowers, weaved into a thin french braid. At his joke, she chuckled once more, her mood lightened by his laugh. "Yes, your hair is incredibly eye-catching, I could never lose you in a crowd." She smiled warmly, as he transformed and began escorting her through the streets. She prepared her best smile, knowing full well that she'd have to look as kind as possible in front of the people.

Today marked a very important day for the kingdom as a whole. It was the day that the Two Princes would converge for the very first time in a very long time for the necessity of meeting the new princess. As such, Xander found himself awake an hour before crack of dawn instead of a few minutes before his was his Norm. He gotten into a routine of keeping an impeccable schedule, and as such was rising up the ranks of the guards rather quickly. Whilst many of the other guards were busy preparing the town in the castle in various ways for the festival, Xander had been unsurprisingly assigned to Patrol a larger area than normal in order to ensure that all was secure on the castle grounds as well as in town, as much as possible. He was grateful for the change of pace, which set him in rather high spirits. After all, he’d been seeing different sights nearly every day for years before becoming a royal guard, and now there were quite a few days where the monotony of the rigid routine required for the was broken by little, if anything. He’d never give up this job for the world, though; it ensured he could stay close to his family, not to mention the pay and job security being a royal guard provided.


His lengthened route brought him into the center of town. He noticed as he observed passerby on lookout for any suspicious beings that it was beginning to bustle more than usual at this time of day here. This was more than likely due to the importance of today for all of the town’s people, and in fact the people of the land as a whole. The centaur noticed that his particularly large stature stood out in the crowd a little more than even your average centaur would, a fact which he decided was a good thing over all. He noticed that less incidents occured when he patrolled the village than when he was needed elsewhere. Strolling through town as he was, he kept an eye out for any individuals that either seemed suspicious, that he recognized, or that simply seemed to be someone to speak to enjoyably for a moment. Once he saw anyone in particular that fit any of those three descriptions, he’d act accordingly. That was usually how he handled patrols in the village, especially since he didn’t get to do them all too often with business at the castle, especially in recent days.

Soon they were at the entrance of the town that was holding the meeting of the Princess and Prince's. He stopped looking around to see if there was any sort of special escort. After all this was a new town to them and he didn't want them to get lost. "They should be here or around her by now.... perhaps we arrived a bit early."

Not that Lila knew what her kind was, especially if she was sitting her talking to a dog. She thought she was human, she looked human, 'Miss you're one of those equine folk.' barked the pup. The mother however looked Lila over noticing the blood that ran down the side of the girls head. 'You must have injured your head pretty badly...lets get you to someone who can actually help' Lila nodded slowly and began to follow the collies, "You said I'm an equine folk, but equine is a horse. I clearly have human features." Though she hadn't seen her face, "Oh god do I have a horse head?!?!." She asked panicking as she ran her hands over her face, it felt normal. The two collies laughed, 'No silly you can shift into a horse, it's common around here. There are humans and Equine folk along with the normal animals like us. Though I don't think I've come across anyone who has the ability to speak with animals like us.' Lila relaxed a bit but not for long as she heard the sound of beating wings? She looked up and saw something flying towards her, "W-what is that!?!" She asked backing away only to fall into the sand.

Drake Raingale - 25 - Pegacorn - Light and Shadow
The scent of blood landed Drake flying over a person who seemed to be accompanied by a dog and pup. The girl seemed to panic falling backwards into the sand before his hooves touched the beach. He was confused as to why the girl seemed to be in such bad shape, "Wow...calm down I'm not going to hurt you." He said as he shifted to his human form, he glanced to the adult collie as it did a weird yelping sound, 'P-prince Drake!' Lila glanced to the mother collie, "Prince? Who is a prince?" Her eyes traveling to the kind looking blonde. "Um yes I am a prince..." "S-sorry I wasn't talking to you." The mother collie growled snapping her jaws at the girl, 'That is one of the Prince's of this kingdom mind your manners!!!' The collies pup danced around Drake's feet barking in a chipper voice, though all Lila heard was 'Prince! prince! Prince!' Drake scratched the back of his head as the girl seemed to focus on the dog instead of him. "I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but would you like some help up?" It was only when he extended his hand to the girl that he got a good look at her. Noticing her hands were chanined and she had a steel choker around her neck with a part of broken chain. "Where on earth did you come from?" Lila blinked a couple of times tears began to fall, "I...can't remember!"

Damon Raingale - 46 - Centaur - Blue flames
Damon headed for the front of the house, he was expecting a package to arrive here soon. One of his pervious toys was being sent back to him for having caused some well paying customers problems. He remembered the girl well, long wavy brown red hair and eyes that matched. She was definitely a beauty and her horse form had been rather pretty as well. Though he had figured he would make a better profit from the girl, she really hadn't been his type. "I wonder if she will arrive today, if so I'll be busy punishing her considering i had to pay a major price to buy her back." HOne hoof stomped into the dirt a bit irritated at the thought. Yes once he got his hands on the girl again she would pay. Last night he had been a bit harsher on Nina than normal due to the problems with the product coming back his way.​

"I'd love to get a taste of your wonderful treat for the princess," she giggles and rubs her baby bump. "Dont give too many away to me ok? You make the best bread and muffins in town and I wouldn't want you going bankrupt because of me," she smiles but it soon turned to sadness "I'll be fine I promise just....please dont get on his bad side...I dont want you getting hurt," she whispers to her.

Sera blushed slightly rubbing the back on her neck, "I suppose it would be pretty rash of me to try and take on a centaur, but I see you as a little sister to me. I care a lot and...well the thought of him hurting you especially while your pregnant." She sighed shaking, "At least sit down and drink the tea warm...anyways you are my plant supplier!!! So technically you aren't going to run me out of business, you help me make some of my best products. And my best can make that bastard happy, possibly making things a bit easier for you." She said walking over and handing Nina the spoon with the lemon orange mix on it. She then went about pouring the mix in a pan and sticking it into the oven. "Anyways I'd like for you to try some of this once it's done. It's the first time I've made anything like this before. That is if you don't mind..."

Nina smile gently at her. "I suppose that resting for a bit wouldn't hurt," She sits down at a nearby table and pops the spoon into her mouth. "mmmm this is delicious!" Nina mumbles around the spoon, the baby kicks happily. "And the baby loves it too," Nina gently places a hand on her bump and laughs. "I'll be fine alright Sera. I wouldn't want you getting hurt and besides he doesn't hurt me that much," she says trying to play off how much she actually was injured.

Sarah's form moved awkwardly through the crowds that had come to the small town, already a popular place with trade before but now with all the royals meeting- it was a tad uncomfortable for the at least 6 foot tall girl and horse body, her four legs trotting around with a blush as she tried to squeeze through, letting out a mumble of apology or nervous murmur every now and then to a stranger with a warm smile, hands clasped and held at the mid section of her horses chest where it blended into that of a human. Her dark brown hair hidden beneath a hood as she continued onwards, seeing a chance to escape the crowd she ducked to the side near a shop, pulling the hood further down over her face and letting out a relieved sigh, suddenly however a familiar voice went through the female centaurs ears, turning her head quickly only to spot Nina an tensing up, backing up a little her hooves clanking against the ground and tail swishing as her face turned even bright pink, trying to hide away.

To her surprise the man moved closer, pulling her into a hug. She didn't even fight it, she needed this comfort. She didn't know who she was, where she was from or where she was. The mother collie sighed, 'He is here now he can take care of you.' With that the two dogs went on abput their business.' Lila nodded, "Thank you..." TShe whispered to them, but Drake seemed to think she was talking to him. "Don't thank me yet... Let me see that injury of yours." Lila stared at him as a strange light seemed to circle around them. Soon her pain seemed to fade slowly, she raised her hand to touch the spot on her head that had hurt. There was no wound anymore, what was this world. "So you can heal and i can talk to animals, what other crazy things are there...."

He looked her over, he knew he should have been heading into town by now. The Princess would be showing up soon, bit he couldn't leave this girl out here alone. "Come with me, I'll take you to my castle. You can get cleaned up and dressed in fresh clothes. Today a princess is coming to stay with our kingdom so while I would love to wait for you I can only let you get cleaned up. One of my servants can bring you into town and find me, my name is Drake, Drake Raingale." He said extending his hand to the girl, "So Prince Drake, it's nice to meet you. I don't know if I even had a name before this." Drake sighed, "Well then what if we call you Lily? After the beautiful elegant flowers that come in all sorts of colors. Damon saw a person heading down the path towards his place, though no one followed behind. That was weird, but he shook the thought away. The man stopped in front of Damon, "Sir your package may have been lost..." Damon's eyes narrowed, "What!!!" The man flinched, "I'm sorry sir but there was a storm and we lost contact with the book that was bringing her. I have sent men to go look along the shores for any signs of a crashed ship." Damon was not in the mood to hear this kind of thing, "Well then you better hope for your safety that she is still with that possibly wrecked boat!!!" The man shook, but nodded before taking off as fast as he could.​

Soon the smell of lemon and orange rose up through the air. It was a nice sweet change from the regular smell of breads. She had made herself busy with making the tea and heating up the muffins for Nina. She didn't want to bring up the fact that Nina had just lied. She knew that the girl was having enough problems as it was. "What if you came in every once in a while and showed you how toake some super good sweets. I'm sure Demon would let that happen after all he seems to have a major sweet tooth for such a cold creature." She didn't both to hide the malice in her voice. She hated thean and wished she could help Nina out by taking her away. But if she couldn't do that then the next best thing was to help her make the stuff the man liked. She turned to a window and walked over opening it. The fresh air tye blew in made her stick her head out only to come face to face with another woman's face. She sqeaked jerking back and smacking back of her head into the window seal, "Ow..."

Nina smiles softly "He would really like that...thank you," she chuckles as she watched sera go about her business. "You don't need to do something on my account! I am perfectly fine," She stands up and walks towards the counter where Sera was heating up the muffins and tea. Sera's squeak confused Nina and she peeked her head over the counter to spot Sarah staring at her. "Oh hey...it's...it's been a while..." she blushes. The last time the two had seen each other was shortly after they had met months ago. Nina was on her way home from the market and ran across the half starved centaur. she gave the girl some food and talked to her while she ate. This caused her to be late home and garnered a beating, yet Nina kept meeting and talk to the centaur girl until Sarah convinced Nina to try and run away with her. Damon quickly caught up to the two and Sarah was able to escape while Damon was dealing with Nina.

Sarah had just about jumped out of her skin when the girls head appeared through the window, letting out a loud eep, raising two hoofs as she stumbled backwards blushing an even darker shade, "Ah?!" she stuttered, hood falling backwards to reveal her face in full, she was about to turn and run, a pretty natural instinct for a startled centaur but then her eyes sat upon the other girl within the shop, Nina. They widened a little as her face turned an even darker shade, looking down and away embarrassed.
