Fantasy The Purest (Closed)

The mind is a fearsome thing, don't tread on it.
Jaysen sat within the hanging cage of the Doll Auction holding rooms. All around him mutants were chained and caged to be sold to the higher class Elemental's. He saw many interesting mutants. Some with skin made of gems and some were half animals, but he didn't care. There was only one thing he cared about. The Innocent. His heart fluttered as he thought about such a perfect specimen. She truly was perfect. He had decided long ago that he would do whatever it took to make her his.

Jaysen had done a lot to see this plan through. He had cut his long hair short and dawned some very dirty, torn clothes. He had smeared ash on his face. It was a lot to do, but he was prepared. He knew he would need to convince them he was not an elemental, but he had that covered. He would use his powerful lightning to heat things up. This was a simple way to convince them he was simply a Doll. This is how he would do it. This is how he planned to get the Doll that he craved so much.

Time passed slowly as he sat with his face in his knees, trying to keep himself calm as he waited. He had heard through the grape vine that the rebellion planned on taking down this Doll auction tonight. If that was true, he would finally fulfill his goals.

As he sat in the cage which rested in the damp, humid cellar that the Dolls were kept in he thought about how the dolls were treated. Before the auction their hair was brushed and they were cleaned. Clothes were placed on them and then they are sold. By all accounts the Dolls were treated well, so why did the rebellion exist. Not only that, but why did they attack the Doll auctions. Then again the state they were in now was horrid.

Suddenly there was an explosion. The room shook as he heard the fighting. He gripped the bars of the cage. His heart was pumping hard. Maybe it was finally time for him to meet the girl that haunted his thoughts. He seeded to find her. So in the midst of the commotion he squeezed the bars. His lightning heating the bars slowly, just starting to be able to bend them.

To put it lightly, Rhoswen was unbelievably disgusted. Ever since she was young she knew how awful and wrong it was to have such a label placed on you, knowing that most mutants were nothing more than toys for the higher class elementals. She had assumed it wasn’t a pleasant existence, but that view changed after she had been caught those few weeks ago. It was purely her fault, being careless. One glimpse of her wings and the woman had been hunted tirelessly, dragged and sedated to be auctioned off to the next lucky bidder.

Now they stood nearby the auction house, simply watching. Waiting. Rho’s eyes narrowing at the thought of them being bathed, the pristine clothing and thick strength of perfume all to cover the malnutrition and horrid conditions they were kept in before being sold off. “Are you sure you’re alright?” A male voice would ask from nearby, the man walking forward and standing beside the woman. Her second in command, Ivan Galor. The dark-skinned mutant could regenerate unnaturally fast, believing himself to almost me immortal because of it. “Yes.” She snapped, her wings twitching with annoyance. “Just making sure.” He sighed, not bothering to say any more to someone who wouldn’t hesitate to push him off the building they stood upon.

A few minutes later, Rho would move to the edge, looking down at the rest of the team she had assembled below her, giving a nod. Show time. Ivan would pass her one of the pistols he had holstered, turning to leaving without another word. Moving to the edge she would be quick to gently jump off, making her way as silently as possible towards one of the auction houses’ unsteady windows near the roof. Hovering beside it for moment so she could remove the panel, she’d slip inside, clinging to the rafters as she watched.

The lights were killed, panic ensued among the elementals, they trying to rush out of the building while they moved in. Rhoswen went to the hanging cages which contained the supposedly “high value dolls” while they worked on getting those on the ground out. Reaching one first where a man sit inside looking unnaturally disheveled for being one of the sold. Regardless she’d cling to the side of the structure, it swinging lightly as she spread her wings for balance. Tugging a pair of bolt cutters from a pocket she’d make quick work of the lock, wrenching the door open as she hesitated in calling to him.

He seemed… vaguely familiar. Something about his face, although she couldn’t place it. Regardless she finally spoke up. “We’re leaving!” She commanded, wanting him to move over to her so she could get him down before continuing with the other cages.

Jaysen watched as the mutant rebellion came about and completely took over the auction. He then stopped and looked at her. The one who he had done all of this for. He knew she would feel some sort of sympathy towards him. He was in the cages for the 'high value dolls'. Just as she was. When she freed him from the cage he listened to her speak. Even her voice seemed too perfect to be real. He slowly stepped from the cage, careful not to take his eyes off her for fear of her disappearing.

It was clear that they would be getting suspicious if all he did was stare at her. Jaysen looked around as he needed to give them some reason not to doubt him. Soon he saw a few mutants trying to open a reinforced cage holding today's prized doll. A small boy, no older than nine with diamond hair. He noticed the issues even the larger mutants are having. He walked over and tapped the shoulders of those trying to open it. When they look at him he smiles "Let me try."

The mutants nod and move out of the way. He moved close to the cage and grabbed two bars. He then strains as he tries to pull them apart. He concentrated his lightning on the bars. They begin to heat up and bend as he pulls. Finally the bars give. He reaches in and picks up the boy and heads for the door. The boy clung to him as he walked the boy through the flames, outside to freedom.
