  People cheered when the Queen had given birth to her first and only child. It was said that people all over the world rejoiced at the birth of him because he was going to be the hope of the future of Korea. Still, it wasn't much for Wooyoung to handle until his childish behaviors caused his tutors and teachers to have a headache because of him.
  
  "No, do it like this." They would say. And so, Wooyoung quietly listened, following their words because he believed that it was right. Blessed with whatever he wants, he was always in the spotlight where ever he went. Girls squealed at his presence, boys wanted to become his friend. Wooyoung felt like the life he was living was an outer shell from what he wanted to be.
  
  Han Wooyoung felt pressured and that caused him to become so "perfect" in others' eyes, that he knew that he was doing it to please others.

  As time passed on, he became a introvert. Reserved and quiet, just like the small clouds passing along the sky, all he wanted was to stay out of the spotlight.
  But how can the Crown Prince stay out of the spotlight?
  Plenty of times he just wanted to run away from home and start a new life.
  Every time he tried, people would always recognize him.
  
  "Isn't that the Crown Prince?" they would say.
  
  As Wooyoung continued to grow up to become a young adult, he learned the ways: just don't care anymore.
  Although he didn't want to be in the spotlight, he had no choice. With his friends with him, he felt like he didn't have to worry anymore.
  And the other person that helped him get away from this ridiculous world was that woman, Park Yujin. The beauty of the college that many
  tried to hit on. Of course, Wooyoung didn't care for her existence either, but after a night of sitting in the empty theatre hall, he watched her perform
  on her own as if she was the star of the show. It was the beauty and calmness that she had in her that caught his eyes.
  Only then did she realize he was there, but with embarrassment, she left the hall immediately.
  
  It would happen to occur that the Crown Prince after that night would come by every week of that day, just to watch her perform.
  As time went on, the two got close together, secretly dating, away from the media and people with their little secret hideout.

  It was then at his current age that he wanted to purpose to her.
  The last words still lingering in Wooyoung's ears.
  
  "If you don't marry the person you want right now, you will be wedded to the woman that your grandfather wanted you to marry."
  
  And so, he set out to meet her. It was always just a "friend's hangout" he would say to the media, with their curiosity, sparking interest in Wooyoung and Park Yujin. Many rumors were already out saying they have secretly dated already, so it wouldn't hurt, right? It was important that Park Yujin wanted her privacy, especially wanting to perform as a ballerina, her dreams would have been destroyed if a big scandal came out now that would ruin her career.
  
  Setting up in a small, private restaurant, Wooyoung gripped the ring in his hands, waiting for her to come in.
  Park Yujin entered the restaurant, dressed in a peach long, wavy dress. Her curly hair fell down to her sleeves with a
  pink shade of lipsticks. Her womanly appearance made Wooyoung awed as usual.
  "What's the special occasion?" She questioned.
  "Nothing. I was just thinking about having a nice lunch with you." He stated.
  Park Yujin chuckled. With a nervous sweat falling at the side of Wooyoung's head, he was ready to speak out the words.
  "Park Yujin," He took a long gulp, "will you marry---"
  
  "I'm going to America for my first audition." She stated. Wooyoung paused, shocked at her words. Unable to say anything,
  he laughed.
  
  "T-That's great." He blurted.
  "I can't marry you," She bit her lips. "it's my future. I must do it or else I'll forever regret it, Crown Prince."
  Anxious, Wooyoung had forced Yujin to choose between him or her future.
  "If you choose your future, you won't see me anymore." He blurted.
  "I'm sorry, but living in the depressing palace will only cause me harm." She stated, leaving the restaurant.
  
  Defeated and with no choice, the Prince decided to go along with the arranged marriage that was set up with

    Always keeping troubled things on his mind, he never tells anyone. Even to Park Yujin. Every baggage that he feels that he has to carry, he believes that it's his responsibility to carry it himself, not relying on others when it is needed.
    
    He hinders those emotions that he has been hiding for so long-- the pain, the longing, and the loneliness of the palace.   personality— Eunji is very a different person than she used to be growing up, and it took her a long time for her to get this point in her life. She has become more confident in herself and it shows. Though this change is only really visible to people who knew her before she moved to live with her grandparents. To anyone else she seems like a girl who just happens to have high self-esteem, and while she does still have her moments where she wants to sink back into her old ways or pretend to be happy to keep the peace. She has worked really hard to get rid of those old habits. She has become more of a genuinely happy person when she stopped acting like she was fine all the time. She has come to accpect her feelings, no matter if they are good or bad she knows not to ignore them.
  
  She feels like now that she is a lot better and maintaining relationships because she has taken the time to learn about herself. She loves to talk to people and making new friends. Eunji doesn't have problems when it comes to talking to people and working with others to get things done. She just really enjoys being around other people. It doesn't have to be a big group either. It can be just her and another person. In fact sometimes she prefers to be with just one other person. She likes it more because she feels like when it just one other person you can be more open with eachother. Honesty is very important Eunji. She already struggles with being honest with herself that she doesn't want people to lie to her. While she is very forgiving, if someone makes a pattern of lying to her she become more reluctant about being open with that person. She starts to doubt that person, and it's very obvious in the way that she will try to avoid talking with that person. She knows it's petty to just start ignoring someone just she doesn't know how else to go about it.
  
  That is one of the many things that she struggles with. It doesn't there how much how much she has improved her confidence she still doesn't do well with conflict and confronting people about that conflict. She is a natural people pleaser and starts to quickly cave as soon as she notices that their is a problem between her and someone else. She tries really hard to try and stand her ground but it doesn't take lot other make her back down. Especially if you know her well enough it is easy to pick at her. This need to keep people happy so that they don't leave her isn't the only nasty habit that she clings to. Eunji still has a short temper. This developed because she would bottle everything in and not talk about it. Thus if she is holding onto to anger towards a person she tends to be a bit snappy towards them. She tries really hard not to let her temper get the best of her. She would rather talk things through with a clear mind rather than spit out words that don't make sense because she is mad. Eunji always feels bad after losing her temper with someone and usually tries to make up with them right away afterwards.
  
  Eunji hates silence and she feels very anxious after not talking to someone for a while. She tries not to cling to the people around her because of how she grew up. She doesn't really get that way with people she has just meet but if she has known someone a while and as become attached to them she gets worried when there is silence. She won't talk about it though. She doesn't ant people to think she is weird or childish for feeling that way. Eunji has no problems being honest with herself but being honest with others is still hard for her. It is a hard thing to get rid of when your whole family told you you being dramatic whenever you tried to express yourself. Despite this Eunji does geuinely care about the people around her. She wants to be able to provide the ones she cares about with support. Eunji doesn't want to be the person that puts someone down after what she went through. Even if she doesn't know the person very well she will be there for them.
  
  All in all, Eunji is generally a sweet girl who is still working on improving herself. She has her problems and she knows that. She knows that putting herself down for others isn't good and that she can't always avoid talking about her feelings. But she is trying to change and is trying to make a better life for herself.

  *I am not super happy with her backstory but it was getting long and wordy
  
  Eunji grew up in a family with a horrible history when it came to love, family, and being emotionally available. The only people in her family that managed to escape this pattern was her paternal grandparents. Who also just so happened to be the ones who knew the current crown prince's grandparents. Though she wouldn't learn this until much later in life. Anyway, more about Eunji's dysfunction family and loving paternal grandparents. Lets start with her parents. Her mother was a driven woman named Hyejin, she knew what she wanted and had the will to get it but she never was the best when it came to dealing with her children's emotions and feelings. While her father, Daejung, had the brains to keep up with her mother's drive never wanted to apply himself. He was much rather preferred to cruise through life. No one understood how her parents met eachother and managed to last the six years that they did. It certainly helped that there was some pressure from her paternal grandparents, but before we get into that let's add some more characters to this story. Jiyu is Eunji's maternal aunt with two kids from a failed marriage and then married rich. Gyeonghui and Doyun are the old friends of the royal family and Eunji's paternal grandparents. Lastly we have Sujin, Hyejin's mother who stepped in to help after Eunji's parents divorced. Now onto our story.
  
  Eunji's parents were never really supposed to be a thing. This isn't because they came from different social classes, but rather because they were so similar they could never truly see eye to eye. Not to mention her mother had goals for life while her father did not. But when Gyeonghui and Doyun discovered that Hyejin was pregnant with their first grandchild they pressured the two of them into getting married. They now realize that this wasn't the best course of action they just didn't want their grandchild to suffer because of their son's poor choices in life. So her parents got married and soon her brother was brought into the world. Everything was okay, as okay as they could be, after that. Her parents moved out of their apartment into a home where they could rise their son. Then Eunji was brought into the picture. The second accident child. Now, her parents marriage was already on the rocks at this point but the stress of a second child didn't help. But they had her none the less and from the very start Eunji didn't have it good.
  
  As a child Daejung never treated Eunji very kindly. She often got in trouble for defending herself against her older brother whenever he picked on her. Sometimes she was punished for little to no reason. Eunji's memories of those moments are fuzzy now but she remembers a lot of yelling and sometimes he would use a belt on her but those moments where rare. Most the time he would just yell at her and threaten her if she did something wrong. It was when Eunji was six years old when her mother removed her and brother from that environment. Their family of three moved in with Sujin, living on her property alone after not only her husband left her but also her youngest daughter Jiyu. No, Subjin's husband wasn't dead they were just divorced and he had remarried. Her father dropped off the face of plant after that. With this new environment Eunji was introduced to family that she was rarely allowed to interact with. She meet Gyeonghui and Doyun, who would take Eunji and her brother every weekend. Eunji learned later that her father cut contact with Gyeonghui and Doyun when they refused to give him money. It was also the first time she had meet her cousin's. This admittedly is not one her best moments in life.
  
  In the beginning she loved her cousins and spending time with them, but she quickly felt like she had to change for them. Eunji was the youngest of the four kids and thus was the one who was always picked one. The only had girl she had around didn't want to be around her because she was "too girly". Thus Eunji learned to take care of herself. Her mother had gone off to college again so she wasn't around to help her, and whenever she talked to her aunt about how she felt she was always brushed off or would get picked on more by her cousins and brother for speaking up. She eventually gave up trying to fix it and just gave in. She taught herself how to change herself to make others happy and she learned how to smile when she didn't want to. This went on for years and still happens even now. It became easier when she turned fourteen and her family moved further away from them. Eunji was able to open and be herself again. She still saw her grandparents every weakened and that was the only thing that kept her from going insane or slipping into the deep end. She was happy to be with just her mom, grandma, and her brother. Except nothing changed.
  
  Despite her mother graduating college and getting a better life for herself, she was still avaliable to Eunji and her brother. The amount of times Eunji tried to reach out of her mom only to be shot down by the words 'it's just a phase' were enough to make her sink back into her hole. The place where she pretended to be happy so everyone around her wouldn't be bothered by her. That is until her father came back. Eunji hates to admit that she was geuinely excited to see him again. She wanted at least one honest relationship with a parent. She was surprised to find out that he had remarried and was planning in having more kids, but she so badly wanted to be accepted by his this time around. She tried everything to get him to be interested in her, but once again she brushed off in favor for her brother. This time she was glad that she learned how to bottle everything. She hadn't at the time just how much she was willing to sacrifice her own mental health for others.
  
  It wasn't until she was seventeen and spent the summer with her grandparents without her brother being there. It was the first time that felt genuinely loved and that she could actually be herself. It was weird to tell someone honestly how she felt. There were a lot of tears that summer. Her grandparents made a promise to her that summer that once she was old enough that they would help her be herself even if meet keeping her away from her mother. As much as Eunji wanted to stay, she felt like she owed it to her mom to stay till finished highschool with. Which is exactly what she did. Eunji plowed through her senior year of high school with the goal of being able to live with her grandparents and go to a good college. She will admitted it was hard at first because she wasn't sure if what she was feeling was just her being dramatic or if it was real, but she eventually she made it through. Eunji did take a couple gap years before going into college so she could make some money to get in. Not wanting to pressure her grandparents into taking care of her.
