In the deep jungle; several days journey from the desert-waste, there is a group of people who live in a beautiful place. This is a place filled with caves, and the walls of these caves tell stories. All of these stories lead to one place; one entrance, which is protected above all other entrances. The men who stand watch over this special portal are known only as "Guardians". There are warriors, fishermen, gatherers, weavers and stone-workers, as well as other workers within the tribe. Each has their role to play. Each is dependent on the other for survival.

The characters that you will play are young; individuals who are soon to find their place in life. All young males are forced to survive in the jungle for three days, looking for a totem of honor; something left behind by their ancestors. Those who find a totem are capable of choosing their place within the tribe. Those who do not find a totem are to be assigned by the Elders; wise-men, and leaders of the tribe.

The rest are those who do not survive, those who have succumbed to the horrors that face them in the darkness.

They will play intricate roles. The part mentioned is only the beginning.

There will be. At the beginning, no, however. It will seem mundane for the most part. It will be mundane for the most part, but there will be interesting things that happen.

Does our characters need to look caveman-ish?

Well, I'm guessing this takes place in the stone age, so does our character need to resemble cave mans? Heavily built, their lower jaws jjutting out, those stuffs.

Haha! No, no. Nothing like that. Cave men were pretty much like ourselves, in honesty.

Potentially. I wouldn't allow multiple characters at first, but as the story continues, definitely.

Also, can we have a limit of posts done each day? And also a minimum?


Because I've been in roleplays which go to fast for me to keep up with, or so slow that they just die out. I don't want that to happen to this one.

To answer your P.S. first. Allies would be encouraged, however, I would like everyone to know how things work before getting into that. A limit of posts is reasonable, as is a minimum. Thank you for the suggestion, my good man.

You can feel free to make a character, now. I would like to start very soon. I would like to wait a bit longer, just to see if one or two more people might join. If not, I'm not worried. We will begin later today.

I already made and posted my first character. I'd like to make a second, but since you wanted us to start with one I choose the older of the two to start with. What are the roles that female characters can play? I would assume that men do the hunting, fighting, fishing, etc. and woman gather, do what little farming the era allows, raise children, cook and clean. Am I incorrect?

I think the character sheet should have family as part of the thing you fill out, since the characters are so young. Most of the characters would not have siblings, because of the lack of medicine, but parents and grandparents should be part of the bio.
