Ursula

Wait, what, why??

That's what was Ursula thinking when the tunnel suddenly opened into a large dome-shaped caver with a large bridged gap in the middle. And why there's duergars here? The elf was astonished by their discovery.

Categorized as 'savage tribe' in Aurelon, duergar was not considered as monster, but they're oftenly very hostile to outsider so it's best to avoid them. Said to came from the same ancestor from the regular mountain dwarf, though if you ask the dwarfs, no one would admit it. There's plenty of stories about people being slaved by them for lethal minework...

And nobody here got time to be slaved like that. Ursula shuddered at the thought as her body moves by itself at Sole's cue. She pulled a survival knife from her jacket and jammed it upward into the left eye socket of the duergar that was held by Sole, penetrating right into his brain.

A painful shriek echoed echoed through the cavern but was cut short when Ursula shot his neck with her pistol. If done to a human, a point blank shot like that would result in the bullet punching a hole through the neck while still have enough velocity to kill one or two more target, but Ursula's shot didn't came out from the other side of the neck as a prove of their superior resilience. Still, the enchanted stun bullet at least stopped the duergar from thrashing around on his last moment.

Looking at the blood splattered on the front of her jacket, Ursula felt her body tensed up, to the point that she could heard her own heartbeat and blood flow. She was having a hard time to keep her hand from shaking violently and almost got herself mauled by another duergar's axe swing. Fortunately she was able to rolls out of the harm's way and hide behind Sole's figure.

"I'm sorry, I think I need a bit of rest." The elf said weakly to Sole as she put her shaking right hands into the pocket of her jacket. Even though 200 years had passed, her body still remembers the trauma of the war. Dang, this was supposed to be a simple kobold massacring mission.

The anger of having their companion fell filled the other two duergars with anger. Wrath was clear on their eyes as their swung their axe with even more vigor than before, followed by terrific battlecry that echoed through the caverns.

Wiping the bits of dirt and mud off herself as she climbed went through the hole, she followed after the rest of the party as they strode into the large chasm. Sage lifted her head to the ceiling, the wind blowing lightly against her jacket...that somehow had come back together. How did that happen? Sage looked among her party for a moment, giving a sort of quizzical and skeptical expression. Her train of thought, however, was stopped as the trio of angry Duergars. She would have jumped in quickly, but the size and strength of her opponents was something she'd rather go at after there was a bit of damage done first. Sage was a small assassin, she worked from the shadows and always delivered the last strike, refraining from going at her enemies who had time to prepare. Especially when her opponent was about three times her size.

Once her members went in, she made her slower approach, though it seemed they needed more than simple strength and hard ammunition, they needed speed. Like she was going to let them have all the fun anyway. With a sudden acceleration, Sage took off toward the two Druegars, when the first of the two raised its ax, she grinned underneath her helm, and quickly made ran toward him, he saw her approach, the being wasn't stupid and started to bring his ax down upon her. With a spin, she evaded the falling ax, letting it hit hard rock right beside her toes. "Hmph." Sage muttered, there had been closer encounters. With her bare fist, she delivered four swift blows to his side, his armor didn't even seem to do anything as he gave out a grunt, and fell to a knee, half his body suddenly feeling numb and weak.

Sage pulled out her shortsword to finish him, but the other quickly took his opportunity and swung at her. WIth quickly mobility, she just barely ducked underneath the ax and parried the blow with the hard metal came back. Though what she didn't expect, was the hard headbutt from his surprisingly hard head. The impact was clearly seen as the glass on her helmet cracked. "SHoot..." She said as she stumbled backward, the force behind his blow had her on her rear. The Dreugar then sent his ax at her chest, and she managed to pull out her other sword and block his blow. She grunted as the shock of his strength went through her arms, making her back hit against the ground. Gritting her teeth in a pained motion, she kept herself steady, for now. Sage's arms wouldn't be able to hold the ax above her heart for long, but it did allow for a decent distraction. "Someone...ErG...KiLl this thing!"

Noivan looked at the party and tensed up flapped her wings and charged at Sage tackling her and saving her from the falling axe. She quickly dropped to the ground casting a spell that made shackles on one of them pulling the arms to the ground. Now moving over to another party member she cast a heal spell giving Ursula some energy back. She glanced at Sage and put a hand on her shoulder transferring energy into her and stated stoically, "If I provide a distraction do you think you can do some damage" she said putting faith into Sage she wasn't one to trust but they were in need to help each other to save everyone.

Noivan pulled off a feather and quickly handed it to Sage holding in her pain "take it if you get into a compromising position I can help from afar". she stated as the monster came to attack, Noivan pulling out her gadget flipped it switch a shield of light flickered in front of her blocking the axe, She quickly conjured a ball of light and smashed it in the creatures face stunning it for a bit.

Desmond snatched up the opportunity to attack the stunned Duergar, slashing his two short swords through the air around the head of the dark dwarf, the edges slicing clean through both sides of his neck, a brief spray of blood coloring the duergars armor a deep and dark red.

With all three enemies dead, Desmond quickly surveyed their surroundings. It looked empty for the time being, but he had a feeling they had just walked into a hornets nest.

“Alright, so Duergar might make sense then. For who the kobolds are working for.” Desmond said finally, wiping his blades clean of blood. “I have a feeling there is going to be a fortress of them on the other side of that bridge.” He added, returning his blades to their scabbards. “This definitely isn’t a D rank quest anymore.... but if we can do this, we might all rank up....” Desmond added one final time, thinking aloud. He wanted to climb the ranking ladder quickly, and his last party had helped him get to D rank quickly, but they were C rank now, if this quest could get him there as well, then maybe he could rejoin them.

Ursula

"I don't really care about ranking up. Let's just save the damn security and get out of here. Duergar has a hobby of turning their prisoner into disposable miner so there's high chance that he's still alive." The elf said with a tang of irritated tone. She expected things to not go that smoothly allright, but now they're facing duergar even though the reason of why she usually only took monster hunting quest was to avoid killing people.

After a bit of rest, Ursula had regained enough composure to drags the remain of the duergars and shoved them underneath the bridge. Noivan's healing spell helped the recovery process slightly but the elf could still felt the trembling on her hand.

"We don't know how long this place would be so let's avoid combat unless it's really necesary."

Sole

The idea of having Sole's rank increase intrigued him. This meant that Sole would be doing better missions, better missions means better fighters. The hunger that was inside would be better satisfied. Even though the Duegars put up a good challenge, it wasn't the same as a proper one on one fight. Ursula didn't seem to have the same enthusiasm, however. She seemed upset about the carnage, which was odd since they had just slaughtered kobolds early and somehow killing Duegars was different?

"I like this idea," Sole said. "It's also best to weed out as much of the Duegars as possible, leaving some behind would do nothing no more than giving them time to regroup and attack again...well, I assume. I never really met or saw one until now."

Instinctively bracing her swords above her as the ax from the Druegar came down, she quickly found that Noivan had tackled her aside. Grateful she was, and grateful she'd continue to be, "thanks..." Sage muttered. With a small breath she again grabbed her wrist before the magic went through her. The crack in her helmet revealed an angry eye as she breathed. "I'm...GOod...thanks." Then she was on her feet, and retching her helmet off her head.

As Noivan offered one of her feathers, Sage just shook her head, rule 101, don't touch anything holy. Sage only nodded toward the Druegar, a simple statement that she'd take it out if Noivan provided a distraction, and once she did, it seemed Desmond had beat her to it. She wasn't exactly mad, but she wasn't exactly satisfied either, though she guessed she had done the same thing to him not too long ago. So, it was what it was. Sheathing her shortswords, Sage picked up her cracked helmet and examined it...a shame, this thing had cost her a quarter of her pay. Though Desmond's words had halted her thought.

Ranking up? Sage never really cared for the matter, she had tired before but no matter how many monsters she took down alone, no matter how many long trips she took in seclusion, she seemed to go absolutely nowhere. However, maybe it was because she never really did anything different. Sage continued to do what was comfortable for her, and only that. She got better in her skills, learned new things, but she never really gained anything else than the things she had already mastered. This party, however, it offered her something different, comrades, they weren't friends, but it was a team. They'd fight together, and they'd support one another, something Sage hadn't really experienced. Wiping the thoughts from her mind, she focused on the task at hand, she'd worry about rank later.

Sage for the most part kept quiet, letting the others provide more thought, she'd pipe in if there was anything she thought they needed to know.

Noivan looked around and the thought of ranking up didn't excite her too much but if she got to meet new people she was fine. The more she thought the more it seems like this quest was bait for us specifically, She wondered if they all had something in common maybe something great about them. Noivan put this in the back of her head and looked at her feather, she cuffed her hands and breathe into them her feather turned into a dove that stayed on her finger. "Too bad I haven't prefected life magic cause if I did it would fly away" she said with a giggle, the dove looked real and felt real but was lifeless it didn't move or do anything.

Desmond understood Ursula’s lack of desire regarding ranking up, for someone like her, it probably wasn’t super necessary. But for him... well, he had his reasons.

“Alright. So let’s try to save the guild security, that’s the new primary goal. Once guild reinforcements arrive, we can decide on what else is going to happen.” With that Desmond turned and looked at the long rope bridge that covered the massive chasm in the center of cavern. He walked over to the edge and peered down into empty pitch black nothingness. “Alright let’s go.” He said, shrugging away the strange pit, and starting over the rickety rope bridge. He’d though about flying across, but if he was going to lead, he should probably do it Where the others could follow.

Once across the bridge without incident, Desmond was able to see three separate pathways ahead, each were intricately carved with beautiful Duergar artworks and designs. Whatever they had stumbled into, it was obviously some kind of Duergar keep or hide out. Hell, maybe it was a full blown city! They needed some way of getting answers, or navigating through here.

“Since we don’t know where to go, might as well just go, right?” He shrugged as he entered the right most hallway.

Ursula

Ursula followed behind Desmond, still making sure that there's no trap around but honestly, there's none to be found since they entered that different cavern. It actually make sense, duergar was not kobold. They smack you in the face instead of ensnaring you. Ursula lowered her alertness to gave herself a time to relax.

The mission has been derailed too much that she would just walked back if there's no one to save, but she knew very well how terrifying it be to be taken prisoner so she symphatized with whoever poor soul was assigned as this mission's security unit.

As her mind collected itself and regained her composure, the elf's rather playful side emerged again and she approached the martial artist of the group with a wide smile on her face.

"Solee~ let me, touch, your, kitten." Keeping her own morale up was an important thing to do in a chaotic situation right this, and what's not to love about ruffling a cute kitty? Yeah, nothing can go wrong.

Sole

Sole hated heights, that was the one thing he was afraid so crossing an old bridge over a large black wasn't exactly a nice experience. Couldn't Noivan or Desmond carried them over?

They reached the other side, reaching three paths and Desmond going for the right one. Sole followed him, looking at the walls full of art. This was evident that the Drueger has some sort of culture, and showing that their violent acts were of their own volition, this made the idea of hurting them less guilty to Sole.

The gamer elf approached Sole, asking him to let her touch Cheese. Sole smiled at first, seemed she needed something to help her calm. "Yeah sure...but don't blame when she decides to scratch you or anything."

He reluctantly opened his handbag and leaned over to Ursula, carefully putting the bag in front of her with an annoyed Cheese sitting inside. Cheese was not friendly with new people so Sole would have expected Cheese to growl or scratch Ursula, but when Ursula reached for her, she would be more than happily reach for her hand and would happily play with her, despite Sole's expectations.

Ursula

"Thank you!!!" Ursula reached out for the little cat. As expected of an elven hunter, she knew how to handle animal well and gently picked Cheese up with her right hand while using her left one to support the cat's rear legs. She made sure not to let the cat touch the front of her jacket which was tainted with duergar's blood by unzipping the jacket. Yikes, not even herself would touch that.

"Ahh... Having a pet is just awesome, right! Cheese, you want a gum? Ouch, no? I see. Here, Sole. Thank you for letting me play with Cheese." The elf returned the kitten back to the man. She obtained several new shallow cuts on her fingers but it really helps in distracting her mind for awhile, even her hand had stopped trembling.

"Ready perfectly." She firmly held the gun on her hand. Her eyes seemed to focus on the cavern ahead, diligently scanning each corner for clues about the place or their enemy. However, her cautiousness didn't stop her mouth from rambling.

"This make me want to brag about my pet too. Come to the guild hall this weekend. I will bring my tortoise Gizmo and show everyone how fast he can eat an entire barrel of watermelon!"

After she had looted whatever was in the dead Druegar's possession, Sage wiped the dirt off her shoulders and followed after the rest of the party. Coming upon the old rope bridge, she decided to make a joke and made a few heavy steps. Making the whole bridge bounce and shake. Sage chuckled to herself, occasionally looking down below and wondering what laid at the bottom.

As Desmond stated the didn't exactly care for the survival of the class Bs or really anyone but the party. In fact, in her mind, the security was a lost cause as soon as they got here. If anything, she really just wanted to blow up this entire cavern and call it a day. Speaking of which, Sage rose a brow and put a hand to her pockets. Did she have anything that could just plainly cause a homicide? Pulling out her sack of Devil's Breath, she checked how much was in it. If she had some alcohol and some good fire, she could make the whole cave fill with toxic gas. To her, that sounded like a solid way of solving all their problems.

Sage was practically walking backwards as they strode through the right cave, she had looked back so many times, her neck was pretty much getting a work out. It smelled too much of ugly monster dwarf down this way, and the fact that those beast had nearly cut her in half didn't sit well. Taking a breath, she tuned her mind toward the conversation between Ursula and Sole, letting their chattering distract her from her paranoia. Sage knew she was just getting worked up at this point.

Noivan kept her body off the bridge she didn't trust it one bit, She was the last one and watched the party and behind her making sure they didn't get ambushed. She was heavily paranoid making sure to close everything to cover her tracks, hide her scent, and make sure she can't be followed.

She watched the structure of the bridge as it was deteriorated are falling apart she was ready to save a party member when it finally breaks. She glanced around bored looking to find fun in her companions, she floated up to Sage and blew a fringed wind at the back of her neck, It was nothing serious just gives people goosebumps. She found most enjoyment of playing with Sage, with this playful side of her you think is she angel or fey.

She could've sworn she was in the back of the party, apparently not, because something cold had slithered around the back of her neck. Sage hated cold things, not at all, and it was made obvious when she gave a violent shiver as she turned on a heel to face Noivan's amused face. The only real danger was the glint of sharp steel that came flying from her grasp, and straight toward her comrade's forehead. However, Noivan was most likely more than capable of evading the thrown dagger.

Sage grimaced in a bit of agitation if they were really anywhere else but the caves, she probably would've been amused by the little joke herself. But right now, her hairs were constantly standing on end. "Noivan..." She slid the palm of her hand down the base of her head. "Good grave, don't do that..." After giving a small sigh and then pacing her stride beside Noivan. "You think this guild security is worth all this trouble?" Sage asked the woman. Though her voice was more toned to whisper to avoid receiving brash criticism from the rest of them.

Desmond led the way down the passage, focusing on looking for any sign of Duergar. Sure enough though, he started to hear voices ahead. Desmond halted and out a hand up, as if to tell the party or sit down and shut up. He thought about inching forward, try to count there numbers. But decided against it. He was somewhat stealthy, but he didn’t make it a point to practice them. Thy needed to know how many were in the cavern ahead. It sounded like a few... perhaps it was a barracks? Or some kind of common space? Ether way it didn’t sound like some kind of patrol. Desmond pointed to sage and Ursula. Giving a thumb down the hall indicating he thought they should scout ahead, followed by a questioning thumbs up. If there were too many duergar down that way, they would probably have to look elsewhere for the guild security... then again, a common space like that might have a map, and a Duergar prisoner might be helpful in knowning where to look, save he fact that none of them spoke whatever it was the duergar did...

Ursula

Ursula gave Desmond a nod. Scouting should be easy enough. Casting a simple spell, Ursula turned herself to one of the animals that shouldn't raise any suspicion down here, a gecko. The gecko silently walking upside down through the ceiling towards the voice. Sure enough, she discovered that the place was a rather large common area with quite a few duergars inside.

In the corner of the room several duergars seemed to enjoy a board game using dices made of bones, one of them laughed loudly as he slapped the other with a wooden board. Duergar's games, barbaric. The gecko winced and turned her head across the room. Another duergar was tending to a small fireplace with something that looks like burnt kebab suspended over it, she also spotted another one sleeping in the other corner and another one that seemed to do nothing but draws poops on the wall. In the middle of the room was a large table, duergar didn't use chair so they sit directly on the ground. Hence why their furnitures were so low and close to the ground below. On the table was something that caught the gecko's attention, a roughly drawn map on a thick parchment. She noticed something that looks like a room with a bridge on the bottom right corner, probably that's where they came from. The map would surely help them a lot so she's wondering if she could take it silently. The gecko needs a few seconds before she registered a faint eerie sensation, like someone trying to looks directly into her soul.

One of the duergar that was playing dice was staring directly at the gecko. Compared to other duergars, this one wasn't as muscular and instead has various tattoos covering his body. The moment the gecko realized this, she knew that they would be in trouble. This one was a shaman, a mage that doesn't uses mana and instead uses sacrifices to make pact with local spirits and turning the area into their territory of power.

Crap, I messed up. The shaman was directly pointing at the gecko, his hand was shining brightly before a magic projectile flew out of his fingertip. Ursula was panicking and immediately dodged by dropping down onto the floor, turning back into her original form. She retaliated by shooting the shaman on the head. She knew she wouldn't miss a shot with this close distance, but another duergar blocked that bullet by jumping in front of the shaman, getting himself a new hole on the chest and as expected of a duergar's body, the bullet didn't pierce through. All other duergars scrambled for their weapon and the elf felts something wriggling inside the shadows in the room.

Ursula spuns around, grabbed the map and ran for her life! A large leech-like creature with massive gnarly mouth leaped from the nearby shadow towards the place where the elf had been standing a moment ago, the creature slided back into another shadow and the shaman was bombarding her with magical projectiles. She was lucky that she was able to get out of the room with only a few singed hair on her head.

"RUN! RUN! RUN! ABORT MISSION!!" She yelled as she bolted towards where Desmond and the others were waiting for her. Dozens of eyes and lips emerged from the wall, seemingly giving away their location by letting out a loud chants. A mob of armed duergars were approaching and the leech-like creature gave uneasy vibe as it choose to stalks them from the darkness.

Sensing herself being addressed, Sage turned to Desmond as she motioned for her to go ahead. Sticking up her chin in an arrogant way of saying "oh of course." she stalked forward to the edge of the cave wall, and as she saw Ursula travel across the top of the ceiling as a small gecko, Sage herself turned into a plume of dark fog. Staying low to the ground, and within the shadows, she made her way into the Duergar's cozy lounge. In an effort to find a form other than a suspicious cloud of fog, she silently snuck up on the Duergar that was tending the fire. The lad didn't even know what was upon him until it was too late, once her mass enveloped him, he was no longer in control, and the change of his eyes made it clearly so.

Eyes now colored an eerie blood red, the Duergar's head gone limp before seeming to awaken a second later. Flexing her palms in her newfound form, Sage looked across the cave, seeing what more she could find within. She wrinkled her nose to the smell of her new body, there was no telling how long it had been since this Druegar had washed, or even brushed its teeth for that matter. Something small and furry laid in the back of its gums, and she had to put her fist up to her mouth for a minute to keep herself from hurling. In all frankness, this was one of the grossest forms she'd been in.

There was much time for her to bide, the Druegar's soul within her was pretty strong, and she doubted she'd be able to hold him down for very long, with haste, she walked around the cave for things that could be useful. However, before she knew it, Ursula seemed to have her eyes on something, a map it seemed to be, and the large troll in front of her looked to have seen through her disguise. In her form, she could easily be able to turn his attention elsewhere, so she started toward him in a friendly manner in effort to distract him. However, as soon as she made her approach, he threw his spells toward her, and she was forced to take her defensive approach and shoot the lad.

There was no more time for stealth, their cover had been blown, but perhaps, Sage could still give them time. As the chaos ensued, she got a running start and shoved her large shoulder into the back of the Shaman with all her might. She didn't expect the unbound strength that came behind the impact and was surprised to hear the loud crack of its spine. Looking down to her palms, she gave a cunning smirk, as she then realized how strong the large troll she occupied really was. As the others started to catch on that she wasn't on their side, her bright uncharted blood-red eyes most likely giving her away, Sage didn't even bother going for the handaxe at her waist as she prepared to attack. Instead, she went for the two by their board games and shoved herself into them. Much sooner than later, it turned into an all-out brawl.

If she didn't already have a bigger task at hand, she would have considered staying in the Druegar's body just a bit longer. The thrill of being able to brawl without getting the complete wind knocked out of her was filling her with eagerness to be the snot out of them, she probably could've, but he hadn't the time, nor the energy to actually keep the body in her control for too much longer. Once she brought the Druegar's in a large scuffle, she deemed it time to high tail it, and in a quick fashion, she snuck out of the Druegar's matter and escaped without notice. Or so she hoped.

Reverting to her original form, Sage ran after the rest of her party, hopefully, they didn't just leave her, but at least took the time she bought for them to escape.

When she turned around she saw Noivan eyes on her she saw the whole thing. Because Noivan wasn't scared of monsters like Druegar she could easily deflect their attacks, But she saw Sage run in which was interesting. She saw her form change to that of a demon, watching how happy it made her being enveloped in chaos. She gasped seeing what sage really is, Sage upon turning around saw Noivan judging her and going back to the team not uttering a word to Sage. She wondered what Ursala saw the dark shadow if it could be eliminated by light or by raw energy.

Noivan was in deep thought about killing that shadow creature it must be weak to light. She was contemplating on weather or not she should since, she knows Sage's true identify her spell might hurt Sage too. She was thinking too much and her head was spinning, But she kept a calm outwards appearance as if nothing happened.

Sole

As Ursula returned with the elf heeding a warning, Sole prepared himself, either to run or to fight. He turned, seeing Sage also return, forming back to her form and dozens of Drugers chasing after her.

"What do we do Boss?" Sole asked to Desmond. "They're still probably captives down there, we can't judge run away...can we?"

Sole enhanced his legs, not knowing if he's going to use it to jump in and fight or to swiftly sprint away and jump over the bridge.

Desmond waited silently on bated breath as both Ursula and sage snuck into the room using various magical means. Desmond couldn’t help but wonder why their ranks were still so low, considering the level of magic they could perform. Though, turning into a gecko was hardly that impressive for a combat ranking, but it suggested she might be able to turn into other things. Sage’s misty fog, well that was something he thought could be super useful, and certainly could increase a combat rating.

While he thought on this, they rounded the corner out of sight. Sometime passed before Desmond started to worry, there must have been more duergar than he had thought... more than five? Ten? Desmond doubted they could defeat that many outright.... he was still strategizing when he heard spells discharge, and voices call out in alarm! Ursula came bounding around the corner a few moments later screaming that they needed to run and flee, sole, who stood directly behind Desmond quickly asked if they should flee or fight. He didn’t have time to strategize now... they had to move.

“Fall back to a more defendable, narrow tunnel! Force them to funnel into us! Go!” Desmond commanded loudly as he turned to run back down the tunnel they had come up, though he quickly stopped, sheathing his left blade into its scabbard.

With a clenched left fist he called out to his more difficult and unruly power over darkness and shadow. Lucifer did often tell him in his dreams he needed to embrace the darkness more..... “well, here goes....” Desmond mumbled to himself as he felt the power come, swirling about his fist. “Unrelenting fog...” Desmond whispered into his fist before letting it go, spreading wide into the tunnel behind his companions, fillling every nook and cranny around the stone curling, walls and floor. Sage was still back there though, and he wondered if he was doin the right thing.... but he had a feeling she didn’t necessarily need to see where she was going in order to follow them. The duergar on the other hand, being denizens of the underdark, had probably never experienced a magical darkness so complete they could never hope to see through it with their own night attuned eyes. Still manifesting the thick unrelenting fog, Desmond turned and followed his companions, spreading the fog behind them, covering their trail as they went. Any that followed would be caught in total darkness, and then skewered when they reached a smaller tunnel.

Ursula

"I can't see them even with dark vision! Is that some kind of fart of ultimate darkness? That's pretty cool."
Ursula stopped and spuns around when they finally arrived at a smaller tunnel. Narrow space, disoriented and crumpled enemies. Perfect. She pulled her short bow and nocked an arrow.

"Sage, I'm going to shoot the tunnel, allright!" She shouted to the total darkness. Hoping to at least warns Sage before she start the barrage.

Kneeling in the middle of the narrow tunnel. The elf focused her mind and started shooting arrow after arrow in short interval. She could heard the arrows hitting something but couldn't confirms it due to the pitch black darkness.

An eye appeared on the wall next to Ursula. She thought the shaman would only spies from afar, but a lightning bolt suddenly emerged from the darkness and hit her in the chest. Sending her reeling backward and numbed her body.

Sole

Desmond had ordered them to fall back into the tunnel for a better defence.

Sole did so as he rushed back with everyone, except he ran with great speed due to the reinforced legs, making him way faster than the others. As he ran, Desmond looked to summon a great mass of mist that covered the enemies and seeing through them was close to impossible. Sage was still down there with all the drueger, she's going to need help, and Ursula randomly shooting arrows at her direction wasn't going to help.

Boom, the sound of lightning echoed through the tunnel and Sole witness Ursual struck by the power.

"Ursula!" He called out as he ran towards her. Sole didn't know what to do, medic work was out of his field, but he knew that being directly struck by lighting was no good. "Noivan, help!"

Like a banging drum, her feet beat against the stone floor of the caves as fast as she could. Though, just as stealthy as well; behind her, the pack of Druegars was still brawling, but she could hear the confused yells, and perhaps words of negotiation. Those trolls were starting to catch on. As she rounded another corner, the only thing she saw was Noivan, before she quickly disappeared behind the thick coat of fog. Sage raised a brow, why so judgemental, weren't they just having a good time? A bit confused why no one was having as much fun as her at the moment, the thrill of having to fight oneself out of a tight situation always put her in a good mood. However, Noivan quickly left her mind as she stepped into the fog. Sage hadn't felt so blind in her life, Lucifer's magic apparently wasn't in her corner, despite the obvious. She indeed couldn't see a single thing, though when her sight failed her, her other senses didn't. Sage closed her eyes, making herself focus on her other senses.

In the tunnels, Sage heard many things as she made her way through, a few hysteric hollers from confused Druegar, the thundering of feet, and apparently, Ursula was going to shoot the tunnel. Her brows now raised in alarm, it would be ten times harder to navigate herself out of the caves if the tunnel with the only see-through atmosphere was collapsed. "Ursula, wait a SEc-!" Her words were caught off guard by the sudden sound of thundering lighting, and the thud of a fallen companion. Her jaw clenched in concern, a rare occasion. "Why...." She seemed to be asking the shaman within the darkness. He was apparently still alive with a broken spine. "Are you still ...here..." Sage said beneath grit teeth. As fun as this was, spellcasters outrageously got on her nerves, especially when they weren't on her side. She stood extremely still, not daring to move a single muscle as her ears, beneath the spell put on them, moved in every which direction to attune to sound of footsteps of conjuring magic. Then she heard it, KSH-K, lightning shot right toward her, and Sage rolled out the way just seconds before impact.

A millisecond later, two daggers were flying right out of her hands and straight toward the Shaman's position. She couldn't see, but her hearing had never failed her before.
