"The Witch"
1567898592_5.jpg

"Then let's go~!" Minako raised a fist as she soon walked on ahead, ensuring that everyone else would follow.

"I am quite ahead of you, beastkin. Hee!" Plague Knight tapped Red's shoulder using his cane. "I had already counted around 6 of us, so don't worry your little head over it, keheehee!" He cackled, following Minako's lead.
The Witch nodded and followed Minako - along with the others in the group. "Let's go, let's go!" She said eagerly, laughing as she did and then overhearing the head count by Plague Knight - there's 6 of us in this 'little' scout group, plenty for such a task! However, when she and the group would go onwards, the dice would be distracted by a certain something when they reached another fork in the path...
Heading down the furthest south path, there seems to be four more three more paths. Luckily, since Fuuka had provided you with a map, the path is the way to go. Although going west appears to have treasure, in case one were to be curious enough.
One second the group saw her, the next she was gone - the Witch had noticed the treasure reading in the west path and practically sprinted towards it in pursuit of valuables. If she is able to reach the source of the treasure, the dice would attempt to grab it if she could even reach it: though she is more or less blinded by greed for such loot right now, so who knows where that will get her!

When the walls fell, Godzilla smirked. Well, he attempted to smirk, but all he can manage to do was a cross between a slightly open jaw and a snarl.

"That'll teach you!"
He stepped forward only to pause and witness that six of the rocks were now flying towards him.
Godzilla brought a fist up to punch the first one that got close, then spun around as his tail lashed out like a whip, aiming to knock down several other rocks .

Red waited politely for his fellows to step over, which seemed to leave Shujinko extremely displeased. Well, now he knew the grumpy one of the bunch, didn't he? He was like Elh, only willing to curse as well. Red grimaced and continued counting heads in his mind, before responding to what the human had said to him.

"Bit nippy today, are we? I want to make sure I know how many of us in case we get split up, it'll only be a second, really. Just wa-"

    l2QFF6O.png
And then, the green individual passed him by, having seemingly already counted everyone in the group. Well, saves Red the trouble of having to deal with the boy, at least. As they walked, he took to the rear of the line, behind Minako. They all seemed to be able to tell where they were heading more than he could, so he might as well deal with threats that might try to sneak up on the bunch as they walked. Once they'd finally made it to a halt, there seemed to be a mismatching wall in front of them, which the girl from before had opted to knock on. He chimed in with his own response while they waited for an answer to their knock.

"Explosives sound fun! But, I agree, that'd prolly be taken badly from them. Maybe we could try another entrance if they don't answer? I know this is the closest one, the girl back in the main group said, but that means there's multiple ones, right?"

The Leper
Hp: 63/63
Stress: 5/100

Joining Blood Stark on his small journey, the Princess Patapon was also coming with them, but surprisingly, no one else joined them in their travels, which was quiet for the most part, nothing bad or hood seemed to be happening right now, and this peace, it was.... full of dread, Both Beesmas and The Leper knowing that this peace wouldn’t last forever, after all, from where they were from, peace usually built up dread, considering that it meant that something dangerous was around the corner, lying in wait.

But the, Blood stark decided to start a small conversation, first beginning with the Princess Patapon, asking about what caused her to be lost, which was a moving chest, also called a ‘Mimic’, just a mere thought about remembering this creature was pretty scary in his own mind, even though he recalled it a few minutes ago when opening the second treasure chest here. But now the conversation was directed towards the two instead, mostly at the Leper, who wanted to know more about the sickly individual, other than the disease he was diagnosed with.... and Beesmas was about to respond about the short version of it, however, The Leper merely stopped him by speaking first in a quiet but still audible tone
“If you wish to know more about my story... I will tell my tale to you, if to pass the time and give you a better understanding of my past.... once, there was a proud King who lived in the deserts, as well as his kingdom which laid there as well. But this was no grand or large kingdom, it was a small, but sustainable series of towns and a single castle.... the King wielded a powerful great sword, and also wore a sign of power, steel and gold armor that covered his entire form, who also wore his shoulders high and proud...” The Leper said, now placing his executioner blade on top of his shoulder with one hand, raising his right and free arm into his field of view, the blood now dried up on his leather glove, before continuing his tale “This king however, wasn’t a cruel one, no, he cared greatly for his people, choosing their own lives over his own... doing what’s best for him and his people, and will even sacrifice his own life if his own people would survive and live freely... but later on in his life, as he became older, and his body and equipment wore down, a battle against a large band of brigands costed him greatly, for during the battle, his great blade broke a long it’s top, now being left in a condition similar to that of an executioner sword, and fought against what he thought was a weak brigand among their ranks, but all it took was a quick cough to the face of the king, which began a series of events that ended in ruin for the king.....” as the Leper reached for his mask using his right arm, slowly grasping the mask, before removing it entirely from his face, but the darkness of the hood covered the top half of his face, but the light revealed the bottom half of his face, which showed what he truly looked like beneath the mask, the skin revealed was, rough and course, and showed the damaged skin affected by the Leprosy underneath it:

504B5538-B3CE-4541-8E4A-2BE8A4B4F9A6.jpeg
“And the King thought he could overcome his disease, after all, he didn’t want his people to see how he was weakening form his disease, and bring fear upon his citizens due to the possibility of him leaving the mortal realm... but no matter what he did, he couldn’t alter fate, as his condition got worse and worse, his very skin changing into something that wouldn’t put someone’s mind at ease.... but eventually, the King soon learned to accept his fate, and instead, embraced it with full arms, as he prepared himself for whatever time he had left in his body.... the king ordered a small ceremony to be started at the entrance of the castle, but this one will be his last, as within his quarters, his loyal servants applied bandages to his unprotected skin, the King giving up his crown, the very one he wore for years... and instead, replaced it with a golden mask, and now, wearing nothing but his bandages, his golden cuirass, a white cloak, and the feeling of acceptance on his shoulders, he walked out of the doors, his people expecting to see the proud king they all knew, but instead, found a shell of a once great king, who looked so different than his true self... the man merely went and walked past the gazes of his citizens, but even then, he still remembers those saddened faces of his citizens, once seeing this proud king who cared greatly for them, now merely leaving without a a word to his people.... now wandering into the desert lands, where he would end up in his journey.... he does not know... but what he does know, he has a new purpose.... to aid his fellow allies... and start a crusade against the Eldritch abominations and their cultists in the world..... but this was no holy crusade.... it was far from it.... but everyone was United under one goal, with one purpose..... to stop the awakening of the new god.... and reset the endless cycle once more....” The Leper finally finished his story.... a look of remorse now on his face.... but it quickly faded away back to his neutral demeanor... as he put the golden mask back on, finally finishing with “Now you know of the tragedy of the once great king....” in a much louder voice than usual..... while Beesmas was currently sweating from his eyes due to the sad tale he forgotten about.

Compa's eyes lit up as she snatched the drill arm from Sara. The nurse giggled as she hugged both the drill arm and her syringe. Then an idea popped into Compa's mind. She then stared at the two weapons she now has. A foreboding drill arm on one hand and her trusty syringe on the other. Compa made short work in making the idea into a reality, she tossed away the drill end of the arm and replaced it with her syringe!

"Tada!" Compa presented her new Syringe arm to Sara. "What do you think?"

"Ugh...How can you two talk about stuff like that...?" Daryl sighed, visibly disgusted about the talks of mutilation.

"L-let's not focus on that part, alright?" Garyl suggested, soon following the two skeletons as they walked towards the west path, which caused them to round a corner turning south. "Are we going in circles?" Garyl asked as soon enough, that sound can be heard.

The sloshing noises returned, followed by the emerging from the walls were several giant literal black skinned infants with roses growing on its head. Four of these strange creatures appeared, although they don't appear to be hostile...

"The Witch"

Making a beeline towards the treasure box, The Witch would find that the chest doesn't have a lock. In fact, it's unlocked. Lucky her!

Opening the box, she would find...A Tongue? Wait a minute. Suddenly, the box started snarling, tackling you as it barked like a dog!

The Treasure Box is a Mimic!
OK, so imagine the look on the dice's face while she went through this one step at a time. The chest wasn't locked up, she opened it up... only to be greeted with a tongue, a violent bark and getting tackled immediately. A sharp shriek of surprise followed as the dice was pushed by said tackle and struggled to stand right away, now staring down her opponent. "Mimics, foul creatures...!" The Witch muttered, opening her spellbook as she met the mimic with a stare - not a nice one, far from it, more of a betrayed fury. And then, before the Mimic even knew it, some attacks would begin.

First, burning liquid would sweep towards the Mimic after the Witch traded in one of her held objects, and then a new one appeared in her hand - what she wanted 'that' to do was stall the Mimic from rushing her. With that done, the Witch slapped the three remaining objects in her hand into the spellbook - and following that, not three attacks, but two attacks followed - a fireball, and a fleet of sparks - the latter of which, the Witch hopes, will hit the Mimic and stop it in its tracks to buy her more time and allow her to control the situation better!

  • Red's ears perked a bit once more. Just beyond the wall, he could catch snippets of conversation from who might've been on the other side. Talks of... A ragewolf? Almighty? Admittedly, he didn't know what in the world they were, but they certainly sounded far from a nice gesture! He sheathes his sword yet again to try and show that he's not in for a fight, but, of course, leaves his shield raised in its stead. Perhaps the rest of the group would be better spokespersons for them, but... He felt he wouldn't be making a good decision by staying silent, either, so he blurted out first.

    JxniHU3.png
"Woah, woah, no monsters necessary, please no Ragewolf or whatever it was you said! We're lost and not of this labyrinth, but woke up here, and we just want to talk or visit! No fighting necessary, no monsters needed!"

He stepped towards his comrades of the group, nudging them to back him up with their words as well. They WEREN'T looking for a fight, right?.. He was sure they weren't. But maybe that man on the other side had said the wrong thing and would cause them to want a conflict. Hopefully, that wouldn't be the case, though the fond-of-explosives green fellow might just not come off as nice as their intentions were supposed to be.

He managed to destroy two more rocks, but now the remaining rocks were circling him. Godzilla growled.
"You are pissing me off!"

His dorsal spines glowed blue as Godzilla opened his mouth. Particles flew in like before, but his spines turned red in an instant, as godzilla closed his mouth and leaned forward. Red beams of energy shot out from his many dorsal spines in an all raged defense against the aerial combatants.

Beesmas
Hp:

The Leper
Hp: 63/63
Stress: 5/100

The Leper merely listened to what Blood Stark had to say in response, now learning that noble humans do exist, and that not only he was a foreign life form from an another planet, but is also brothers with a King that unlike the Leper, cared much less for his people... and was total ‘dirtbag’ in the Red Soldier’s words. Before they could continue this conversation, strange noises were heard, and before they knew it, they were now surrounded by an entire group of 9 shadow humanoids... the same ones that Blood Stark killed earlier.

Once more, like common instinct for the duo, they prepared for combat, the Leper now resting his blade on top of his two shoulders, and Beesmas taking out both his dagger and flintlock pistol. Now, it was time to finish what they started, and slay these monstrosities..... and it seemed that the group was going first for the battle again.

“Ambushed by Foul Invention....”

[Combat Start]

[Round 1]

Beesmas
Hp:
24/24
Stress: 31/100

The first one to react to the ambush was none other than the fastest bee in the west, Beesmas the Gunslinger... as he yelled out “If one of us can easily kill your kind, then all of us can kill y’all in a matter of minutes!” before he flew to the closest Shadow humanoid, the small 1-ft tall bee getting in close and personal, before putting the dagger away into his pocket, and aiming the flintlock pistol directly at the head of the creature, and quickly used:

[Point-Blank Kablooie]

C07EACC1-833E-4CAD-91A7-E6057674C865.jpeg

As the pistol fired a powerful close range shotgun like blast, capable of easily blasting heads right off into non-existence.... but the result of the blast, sent Beesmas soaring away due to the backblast and recoil of the gun, flying at high speeds through the air before harmlessly bouncing off the armor of Blood Stark, as Beesmas slowly flew back up and said “Remind me not to do that again....” but quickly got back into a fighting position, ready to slice and dice anything that moves.

The Leper
Hp: 63/63
Stress: 5/100

Last but certainly not least, was the Leper, possibly the slowest of the group, now preparing to gain the attention of the shadow humanoids in order to put the stress off his allies. The move he used just for this occasion, was:

[Withstand]

42FB68ED-87E1-4EFD-B939-30D6C91790B2.jpeg

As the Leper had his arms spread out wide for an attack, but instead, a small blue shield appeared in front of him, before quickly disappearing, The Leper now gaining Prot, which lowers the damage of attacks, by 30 percent, and his resistances towards bleed, blight, debuff, and move, at the cost of marking himself, making foes more likely to hit him, and target him instead of his allies....

@Thepotatood

Fennorian slowly blinked open his golden-red eyes, slowly taking in his surroundings. How in Oblivion did he end up here? And... in what looks like some kind of stone box that was smashed into. Waking up in a stone box again, what a great sense of deja vu. Ignoring the other... people, If you could say that, for now, Fenn staggered to his feet. He felt incredibly weak, when was the last time he fed? He had no clue. There was only one answer to that. With a shaky hand, he searched through his belongings and pulled out a small insignificant-looking flask. Then he opened it and took a drink before putting it away. Much better. He could already feel his strength returning.
With that out of the way, he returned his attention back to the 'people.' "Ah, hello. You wouldn't happen to know where I am?"

". . .?" He tilted his head, curious on what he is seeing.

...Well, she couldn't exactly say nothing in this situation, could she? She was a walking curiosity for all these creatures, after all.

Youmu recpirocated the turtle-esque creature's eye-contact and gave him a modest, friendly smile.

"Good evening. Are you the proprietor?"

"Proprietor? Nay, I am but one of the Generals of this settlement." The turtle masked creature. "I am to assume that you are no intruder? It would be a tad too tiring to sound an alarm this late." He says, yawning a bit. "Oh dear, where are my manners? I am Slow-Moving Slogturtle. Dark Hero of Adamance, aide to Dark Hero of Justice, Prince Standoffish Sonarch." He soon bowed lightly. "An honor to meet thee."

The Leper
Hp: 63/63
Stress: 5/100

Now it was time for their foes to react, as the one Beesmas shot in the head managed to successfully be killed off in one hit, pleasing the bee quite a bit,

“A singular strike!”
but they still had a job to do, as for the Leper, his distraction proved to be useful, and drew the attention of most of the shadow humanoids, leaving one left behind, and as the Leper braced for the multiple blows he would received, arms spread out wide and leaving himself open to the attacks, he was instead, saved by the Princess, who in a mighty throw of her pike, froze the Shadows who were after the sickly king into solid ice, leaving them wide open for the powerful blows of the Leper.

Beesmas merely laughed at the remaining shadow boi being blasted into oblivion, as Beesmas said to the Extraterrestrial “No kiddin, if this amount of shadow creatures attacked us back at home, we may have had a problem, but due to our hood combat skill sets, we easily can blast them back into the shadows before they can even make a slice towards us....!” as Beesmas reloaded his flintlock pistol, knowing which kind of bullet to use for this special occasion, or bullets to be exact....

[Round 2]

Beesmas
Hp:24/24
Stress: 31/100

Oh-ho.... the bee now had a perfect shot, quite literally with his flintlock pistol and his special ammo, and the fact that the ones that were left were frozen completely from head to toe, but hey, why not take advantage of this situation, as he flew around for the perfect angle, before saying “Ahah! Found it. Now prepare to feel the wrath of Beesmas and his deadly but-also-not-as-deadly cohorts!” aiming his gun toward his foes, before eventually pulling the trigger and using:

[Grapeshot blast]

F5BAE67E-7578-4D5C-9752-D0F716E4AFB7.jpeg

And the resulting blast ended with a multitude of bullets being launched from the gun, spreading out all around its direction, but mostly hitting three of the frozen shadow boys in their path, and just in case this wasn’t enough to blow them all to bits, it also decreased their speed and accuracy if they managed to survive the onslaught of bullets.

The Leper
Hp: 63/63
Stress: 5/100

The last one to go once more was the Leper, who helped set up this successful strategy by making their foes focus more upon him than his allies, allowing them to set up for powerful attacks or teamwork as well, and now, seeing that they were frozen and standing right in front of him, he went in for his own attack, audibly saying out loud “Rain in the forest....” as he gripped his executioner blade with both hands, raising it into the air before bringing it done with a:

[Hew]

398A47A5-96F3-44E8-B9A3-133687C23447.jpeg

Now bringing his blade upon two of the undamaged shadow boys, and while as not powerful as a a accurate Chop strike, it was still half as deadly as it, and was capable of slicing through flesh the same, and combining it with the frozen enemies, may result with them being shattered and dead instead of being alive for the count.

Fortunately for The Witch, the fireball was enough to push the Mimic back into the wall, the following sparks disorienting it. Following it, a part of the dog-like chest seemed to have caught on fire!

Nice job!

Enemies Left: 1

Alright, the initiative was a success! Now, she can keep the pressure coming - in fact, with four prepared spells ready to go, she can unleash all four of them if she so pleases! First, she uses the lowest value in her hand to make another liquid wall - this time to shield herself from any sudden counterattack, and conjure a new addition to her hand. Following that, looking to what she had, the Witch harboured a smile and a little laugh before slapping the remains of the objects in her palm into the spellbook. What followed were a pair of familiar fireballs, and one more fleet of sparks - once more heading towards the pressured and burnt Mimic. This seemed to be going well, and the Witch hopes it will remain that way!

Leadership. It became evident to the Drifter, now that their pace was being determined by him, and he had a moment to reorient himself with the route that they were taking, and where his companions were relative to him, that he had indeed become this group's caretaker, strange as it was to imagine. After all, the eccentric professor had seemed to take that role in the previous encounter, and rather well at that. The Drifter was not suited to it, and yet it was how events had unfolded. They were indeed taking his lead, yet also acting of their own accord, as that curious slime propelled herself at one of the stones to the east, rather than the active threat waiting to the north. The Drifter wasn't sure what to make of the decision to circumvent the latter, though he wasn't in a mood - or capacity - to dictate how Schimatizo (another curious tip echoed by the Sprite in the Drifter's mind) decided to comport herself.

That mechanized unit from before, as well as that helpful professor, were similar in Drifter's model of sudden leadership. He left them to their own devices, but from how he took the charge against the... Salts? A curious name for a beast, though beasts he would dispatch nonetheless. The familiar blade flourished in a near-imperceptible pattern, coloring several of them as the Drifter moved between targets like a dancer in motion. He did not focus on any one of them for long, given just how many there were, as well as the expectation that at least one of the others would follow behind him, and finish off those he had failed to in this first run.

Just how many hordes were in this place? Not even the entire Tower, but this Floor itself. The sheer scale of it all threatened to unnerve the Drifter's senses.

  • Bird... Face... Thing... Red really had no CLUE what this fellow might've been on about. Perhaps he'd seen something like that? Long ago? But not here. None of this rang a bell, to him at least. He shrugged, admittedly giving up a bit too quickly on them allowing the party he was in to their little settlement.

"Sapristi... If I'm being honest, I don't think I've ever heard of such a thing. What about the rest of you- green guy? Any of you humans seen any bird heads or... Whatever this is? I'm no good at riddles... If this even is some kind of riddle. I dunno, we don't have stuff that sounds like that in the Shepard Republic, and I don't recall seeing anything like that in this maze, either. Sorry, but that'll be a no from me at least, mister."

Godzilla got hit as her fell over, stepping forward to avoid falling to the ground.
The other rocks that slammed into Godzilla's stomach succeeded in knocking him back to the ground.
How the hell are these things moving so quick?!

Godzilla got up, his dorsal spines glowing blue yet again, before turning red. He opened his mouth to fire his crimson spiral ray, the energy being more intense than it originally was.

Konpaku Youmu

"Proprietor? Nay, I am but one of the Generals of this settlement," the turtle-masked creature said.

Youmu gave the husky-voiced stranger a deeper bow before introducing herself.

"My name is Konpaku Youmu. And no, I'm not an intruder. Kamipon-sama invited me as a guest...it seems I will be in your care from now on," Youmu explained in an overly formal way.

Better safe than sorry, right? All it took was one wrong word to seed chaos in a small community like this.
