"Honey!!! Wheres my Supersuit?"
Persephone

#1

Abigail had started her day hours ago, if she were on earth she would've woken up at 4 a.m. that wasn't exactly relevant here tough, time tends to blur on the eternally night world of Persephone. Already she was hard at work, and far from the only one at that. The docks were buzzing with workers loading ships with cargo bound for Chiron or Pluto, and she was no exception. On her shoulder rested an 800lb piece of machinery that would normally take three men or one in an exosuit, yet for her it was hardly even noticeable. She had just set the machine part down when she noticed several dozen or so men gawking out at the main hanger doors. "What are y'all Daisies sta-" she started as she approached but when the sky became visible all she could say was "Shit..." Just beyond the planets gravity well probably closer to the world than the moon was to the earth a purplish ring had begun to form, the clear sign of a warp jump, but this was by far the biggest one she had ever seen or even heard about, even Persephone's thick atmosphere couldn't block it out. Her instincts shouted at her that this was not by any means a good thing. Noticing the dock owner amongst the gawkers she place a hand gently on his shoulder saying "im gonna head home Ted....take care of yourself." he just nodded and pointed to the ration booth where her fair share would be waiting for her. The nutrition bars werent the best tasting but something told her she would need them so she made sure to pick hers up before heading home to try and gather her siblings.

The Flicker of his monitors coming on and the beep of alarms pulled Vince out of his sleep, groggily at first, but once it clicked what those alarms meant he was quick to snap awake and stumble out of bed towards the monitors only to trip over his bedding and fall face first into the concrete floor. His hands moved towards the blankets to unravel them from his feet even as he fell, not even flinching to try and break his fall. The dull thud one would expect was instead a loud bang like someone had slammed two rocks together. Muttering curses under his breath at the inconvenience he rose again tossing the blanket onto the bed and clacking a few keys on his holo keyboard. Soon his monitor shifted to the satellite feed. A small luxury cruiser was heading their way, but its nav signal was all kinds of messed up. Suddenly a Laser beam slammed into its top back portion and carved a deep gash in its armor. He panned the satellite camera in the direction the laser came from and sure enough...they were boned. The rift was at least a thousand kilometers across and from it was emerging at least a dozen large vessels. Three corvettes each nearly three hundred meters in length, one of which had fired the laser at the ship, two larger cruisers, four even larger destroyers, two carriers, a factory ship and finally a massive flagship he didn't even recognize that seemed to be holding the rift open. "Pulling out all the stops aintcha max?" he said to no one in particular. As he turned on his emergency signal for the others and began to gather up some gear. He was still looking at the monitor when he got to thinking about who the unfortunate ones in the luxury cruiser were and wether or not they would survive.

The Fragrant smell of shampoo and bath products filled the cabin long ago and lingered in the hermetically sealed cabin for several hours. Claire had found out there was a shower and wasted no time taking advantage of the luxury amenities. That wasn't something he himself really enjoyed however, the showerhead reminded him of the thick burning acid rain of venus and he found it almost impossible to relax in such conditions. As it was he simply sat in his comfy chair watching the little grey orb of Persephone come into view. He was just about to get up to go and raid the kitchen again when alarms started to go off, before he could even read what was popping up on screen the entire vessel shook as a laser carved a deep gash into the ship. At once the damage showed up on screen and Aegis groaned. The communications were knocked clean out and the damage to the outer heat shielding made entry into Persephone's atmosphere unlikely to occur without the ship breaking up. However it was what was behind them that got his heart beating faster, the Fleet from Venus was upon them, but how? It should've taken them at least a few more hours to open that many warp gates. He noticed his error immediately though, it wasnt gates plural, it was one single massive gate and already the ships were emerging. A second laser hit and he promptly pushed the control stick forward accelerating towards the planet. "Claire...were probably gonna explode in a few minutes once we hit the atmosphere...any ideas on how we can not do that?" he shouted to the back already bringing up the ships emergency protocols and finding a single escape pod still intact, that second laser had destroyed the other three and damaged the ejection shaft of the last one as well. He didn't have much worry for himself, without a doubt he would survive the explosion even if they crashed and then exploded, but claire on the other hand wasn't some lab grown mutant monster. "The sooner the better doc." he added as the ship neared the planet and the small grey orb began to fill their view.

As soon as claire left for work Remmy sprang out of bed and started putting on his thick outdoor clothes. He had a date tonight and he would be damned if he was gonna miss it, granted the other party had no idea about their scheduled meeting but that was pretty normal for him. He stuffed his rover full of snacks, drinks, a spare outfit and a thick blanket. Then he grabbed his foldable chair and hopped in the rover, it would be a long ride.
~~~
For about three hours he drove his rover across the frigid surface of the ice dwarf eventually showing up in a wide valley where the wind was brutal. It didn't matter though the area would soon warm up. He climbed out just as the purple ring appeared in space, with a grin he would rush to the back exhaling clouds in the cold air. Opening his trunk to grab the foldable chair, blanket, and the sweat pants and jacket he grabbed from Abigails closet. He took his seat and watched the flashes of cutting lasers as they hit the small ship containing his "guests". They would be "landing" about 30 meters from here any minute now. For a moment he wondered if he should back up, he was a little close, but decided it was fine, the landing wasn't gonna be that hard was it?
AKA La Dame Blanche
Claire was finishing up yet another shower. She’d taken about three that day already. After being on the run for five years in the horrid atmosphere of Venus.. she was ready to take even more. The Sulfuric Acid rains weren’t ones you could dance around in. Nope. They’d start your skin bubblin and boilin off your body. Pools of fiery ooze would be all that’s left after just a couple seconds. Urgh. Claire didn’t like to think about the countless people she’d seen go out that way. The smell was even worse. Shouting and alarms brought her back to the cold ships interior with ringing ears. Quickly she waded over to join Aegis at the controls. It was a dastardly miracle that the Omega 26 had turned out somewhat... tameable. Claire had managed to make a companion out of em. After a quick scan her fingers deftly punched some buttons and another alarm screamed to life. “We’ll have to use the single escape pod. It will be a bumpy ride. The exit shaft is a bit damaged. It will automatically throw us off course by several hundred miles.” She determined. With that she simply turned and went to grab a bag she always kept packed. It had an over abundance of supplies and tools. A few data pads and “paper” journals. Mostly scientific technobabble.
An unusual silence reigned over the bridge in place of the normal chatter. Matthias sat on his command chair, hunched over forward with his hand over his mouth. His single eye traced over the large central screen that showed the track of a certain luxury cruiser. Speed, estimated intercept course, several possible predicted courses, last known registration, and a whole host of more information. The Mostly Harmless perched safely in a higher orbital track for now, looming above like a bird of prey. Ostensibly she was inbound to Persephone from the deeper Kuyper belt regions. However, with her holds half-empty and the munition bays well over half full, a bit of piracy would ensure they made a tidy profit for this journey. Normally this type of luxury cruiser was the ideal prey. Normally such a ship wouldn't be on essentially a crash course directly down a gravity well. Matthias finally broke the silence.
“You know what? I don’t even care how rich that liner looks, we are not going anywhere near that lunatic.” he said out loud. The pilot, nay, drunken orangutan at the wheel of the ship clearly never once even heard of orbital tracks before. “Who the fuck taught that guy how to fly?”
“Probably got a license off of daddy’s money.” his navigator, Alice said.
“Could be a refugee?” Helmut offered from over by the tangle of equipment that passed for their comms station. Matthias leaned back and idly toyed with the end of his long ponytail.
“I doubt it. Says here that she’s registered to an Atori exec, and someone made of enough money to afford that sort of ride also has a sizable enough goonsquad to keep the unwashed masses away from their private rides. Nah, this is likely some rich kid that only ever rode up and down Earth’s grav well with their hand held by a proper pilot out for their first solo flight. Not worth it, they'll hit atmo before we have a chance to so much as look at the silverware.” Matthias said. With the unknown's current course, there just wasn't enough time for a proper 'surprise inspection'. As a rule he didn’t take hostages, too much of a hassle. He much preferred to seize shinies, those stayed silent.
“Anyway, let’s just-DIVE SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS DIVE DIVE DIVE!” he shouted as the proximity alert went haywire. Incoming warp signature, the computer helpfully supplied. A massive incoming warpsignature. Alice slammed on the primary accelerator to get them the hell out of dodge. The g forces slammed Matthias back into his seat as the Harmless bucked and groaned under the sudden stress. He could literally feel the reactor roar as it forced power into the engines in a desperate bid to outrace the wall of unreality. They dropped like a stone with a fear of heights into the small grav well of Persephone.
It worked. Matthias thanked the ghost of Vladimir Komarov they made it.
“Hokay, we’re okay. Steady her Alice, set me a descending orbit for Port Krin for now.” he ordered. Three signatures, then five, then eleven, then Matthias stopped counting. Essentially far too much tonnage for him to even consider contesting. Owned by Atori, marked as their private merc force even. Fortune smiled on them once more, the new fleet pretty much ignored the Mostly Harmless to blast away at the luxury cruiser.
“Well now, looks like you might be right Helmut. Whoever is flying that liner pissed off Atori something fierce, I don’t even recognise that last ship type up there.” Matthias said, with a particular glint in his eye.
“Oh boy.” Helmut said, in a tone that betrayed he knew exactly what the glint meant.
Mostly Harmless’ new orbit, much lower to the planet, now meant they had a massive speed advantage over the entirety of the fleet. Before her oversized engines even came into play at that. Given that, they had a bit of an opportunity to publicly tweak the nose of the Atori.
“Alice, burn for that cruiser, at evasive. Helmut, try and see if you can get in touch with that cruiser.” Matthias ordered.
“Cap’n, what about the fleet?” Helmut cried out. Matthias shrugged.
“I did say evasive didn’t I?” he replied with a happy grin. G-forces punched all of them in the gut before Helmut could answer.
Once more, the Harmless roared. The engines burned. Their drive plume grew to easily three times the size of the ship itself. Like a painter that drew a line over canvas did they make a small artificial shooting star in Persephone’s skies. At some point, Alice put up her special ‘I really need to concentrate on flying’ soundtrack.
It wasn’t enough, Matthias realised. They’d easily beat Atori’s slow cattle barges in the race for the stricken vessel, but they weren’t racing those ships. Their real opponent was the atmosphere of Persephone that started to chew on the structural members of the battered luxury liner. Matthias saw the orange glow at the leading edges turn into a sickly yellow. The gash carved by the laser widened as howling winds ripped into the wounded ship at enough speed to melt the metal. It finally cracked open like a watermelon, and then, in a spectacular blazing second, Persephone felt the touch of a proper sun as the fusion reactor failed. Remnants of the fireball danced over the hull of the Harmless as she plowed straight on through.
Matthias didn’t worry, they had heat shields. What worried him were the poor souls on that liner. He fiddled with the sensors.
“We got survivors! Single pod, vector zero two seven, dash, minus zero zero eight! Alice, get after them.” Matthias called out triumphantly. He glanced up, in the rough direction where he knew the fleet would have to be.
“Would be a real shame if someone was to dump a few tons of chaff in atmo right about now. They'd never be able to track where that escape pod went from up there.” Matthias said, and then flicked a switch on his console. At the rear of the Harmless, two standard cargo containers were automatically dumped out the back. The ship’s oversized drive plume promptly shredded them to bits. This in turn scattered their contents, several tons of highly illegal high grade sensor-jamming chaff, over the entirety of their orbital track.
Between that and the residue of the other ship’s reactor popping, the fleet should be blinded for a moment.
“Hokay! Alice, I’m highlighting an area on the map we can set the Harmless down. It should be near where that pod is projected to hit the dirt. I’m going to check on the rest of the crew, and prep a ground team to go and mosey on over to see who exactly we bailed out this time.”
“What about the fleet?” Helmut piped up again. Matthias shrugged.
“What about 'em? They can't see shit at the moment, we're running a fake transponder and in general Atori don’t like us much anyway. Fuck 'em.”
As claire packed up her notes Aegis seemed to be standing still for a moment just gazing out the front visor at the cloudy planet. His inhuman eyesight able to detect faint lights from below the clouds, likely cities. He had never seen one before but claire had told him about the lights you can see from space and the many people that lived there. His gaze shifted to the back wall of the cockpit, in reality he was regarding the fusion engine. He had destroyed his fair share of starfighters and understood full well the destruction that came with the aftermath. His mind was made up and in a fraction of a second he was at the main controls of the ship. The autopilot was down along with the vast majority of other systems. The stabilizing thrusters and steering were still intact though, perfect...he gripped the custom 20th century steering wheel and wrenched it to the left until the axel snapped locking the wheel in place. The sharp turn would make the ship break apart more quickly and more importantly would steer it away from what he assumed was a city.
As the ship turned it hiccuped and spasmed at the forces associated with such a sharp turn. Aegis moved at near sonic speeds running past the pod he noticed clair already dropping her things in the locker and getting ready to strap in. A grin spread on his face as he raced back to his room, grabbed the collar like device off of the floor where it had fallen when the vibrations started. Clasping it around his neck he sprinted back to the pod just as the ship touched the atmosphere and jolted as if it has slammed through a wall. For a moment he was weightless as the artificial gravity generator hiccuped and sputtered before joining the other systems in their inactivity. Luckily he fell inside the pod as the emergency systems took over and closed the doors ejecting the pod westward. Half a second later the ship exploded sending a shockwave out in all directions and snapping off the stabilizing thrusters of the pod. The sphere shaped capsule pod began to spin, in a panic Aegis dug his fingers and toes into the steel floor like a cartoon cat stuck to the ceiling.
The pod screamed towards the empty valley at mach 30, smashing into the snowy surface like a meteor. The force of the landing detached Aegis from the floor which at the point of landing had become the ceiling, he tried to turn like the aforementioned cat but only managed to succeed at landing hard on his face with a loud clang. He rose up quickly afterwards shaking the hit off with little damage done to anything but his pride. Turning to the seated and now upside down claire he grinned embarrassed "Lets not mention that to anyone" he said quietly as he offered a hand to help her down.
From his chair Remmy watched the ship explode in a bright flash blinding even for his eyes. Luckily he shifted his gaze to watch the massive plume of flames coming from Matthias's ship. Had he been paying attention he wouldve realized that he was indeed too close to the landing zone of the luxury cruisers pod. The shockwave of the landing would've slammed into him briefly taking the cocky smirk off of his face as he, his chair, the rover, and even the cooler were launched backwards into the snow. Though he hit his head hard on his landing, even the weakest omega was tough enough to survive a fall. He rose shaking off the near concussion. "well that explains why that one got all blurry for a second." he muttered as he rose to his feet. Watching the clasps and hinges of the door pop off one by one with a loud ding sound. He knew all to well what was happening, he had seen it before with Abigail. Once you cross a certain threshold of strength it becomes a good bit harder to deal with a well crafted steel door. You couldn't just punch it off of its hinges as the force required to break the latches would certainly be enough to just put a hole in the material. So one would have to carefully pry each clasp off otherwise they would have to shred the metal altogether.
Apparently their guest wasnt very patient however, after only two hinges came off he watched as the fellow omega Peeled the steel back like the top of a sardine can. Stepping out was a really big man with long hair and what looked to be makeshift armor and pelts. Behind him was a woman who Remmy barely remembered from his visions. "Hey there guys, that uh...that looked fun." Remmy shouted out as he got to his feet and then pushed the rover back onto its wheels, luckily it hardly looked to have taken any damage, sadly the same couldn't be said for his chair and cooler which were in tatters and flames. "I brought snacks but you guys kinda overcooked them" he said chuckling nervously as the Big mans eyes fell on him. Taking any opportunity to change the subject he gestured to the approaching people from the Mostly harmless "Omega Twenty Six and uh...who are you lady?" he asked without even a hint of respect for either of them but a noticable amount of caution as he shifted his gaze between the two even as the snow crunched under the feet of the approaching crew.
Gossamire Bridge, Matthew Stryker.
As the portal closed behind the fleet The commander let out a snort of annoyance as the scan operation officer reported a lack of visual on both the Cruiser and the Annoying skiff. "its of no consequence, lock down the planet and have the factories begin production of dropships and drones."as he spoke the men and women on the bridge began moving to adhere to his order. Nearly thirty seconds later and the hum of the ships Many full sized fusion reactors could be heard. It would be another ten seconds before a purplish light emanated from the ship engulfing the entire planet in its shine, the strange purple glow didnt act like light however but more like water wrapping itself around Persephone. As soon as it had finished engulfing the planet completely all warp lanes to and from the planet were severed, as if that wasnt bad enough communications to and from the planet were routed directly to the Gossamire itself. As far as the rest of the Solar system Knew Persephone had just vanished. The Officer who he relayed the orders returned to him saluting and saying "Sir the engineers would like to know how many combat drones you want for them to produce." he said happy to be delivering good orders for a change. Matthew looked down at the planet and thought for a moment on what his father had told him. Never underestimate a foe, especially if they are more desperate than you...always assume they have the bullet that will kill you son. Taking it all to heart he responded with "I'll Give the order to stop when the time comes until then... keep the Factories working at maximum capacity. While your at it send word to the Carrier, have them prepare all fighters and have the Star marines on standby." the officers eyes widened, he knew they were after 26 of the systems most dangerous people, but he didn't expect a full scale planetary invasion to get them. Nonetheless he did as he was told.
Deep in the bowels of the Gossamire The giant Matter transmutation devices began to pull in air and were loaded with asteroids the ship has pulled into its gravity well and brought into its cargo bay. On one end it produced drop ships one at a time, and the other Churned out Humanoid Battle droids by the Dozen. Each one would complete a batch every six seconds, for a total rate of ten drop pods and ten platoons per minute. Each drone had combat protocols designed by Fleet Commander Matthew Stryker the son of the systems deadliest soldier, and each was outfitted with advanced Dual phase rifles and armor plating that would make them a nightmare for any soldier, but they weren't being sent to face soldiers this would be a clash of weapons. The mechanical monsters of man Facing off against the closest thing to a god mankind had ever produced, somehow in the depths of Space a battle of Mythical proportions was about to erupt.
AKA La Dame Blanche
The ever busy body was zipping madly around her. Taking care of everything that a normal 12 man crew would do. That was fine by her. She liked not being the one running around like a chicken without it’s head. Ships were nothing new to her. In fact, in her younger years she even had a knack for illegal speed flighting. The equivalent of old earth's drag-racing but in a space ship. She’d won most of her education tuition that way. Heh. It made her incredibly sad to see this ship go. Never the less it was happening. No griping about it now. She waded to the pod with arms full and let Aegis take care of the rest. Man. It was one crazy bumpy ride. She had to keep herself from snorting at how ridiculously funny it was to see the all powerful Omega tossed around in the pod like a rock in a tread. Oof. The landing was definitely the worst part. There would be several black and blue marks in Claire’s near future. She was lucky that nothing was broken, other than maybe a slightly cracked rib from the safety harness. Nothing she couldn’t fix or work through. She worked magic in a lab. Stirring up some concoction or other would only take her minutes. Especially if this place had technology. She was use to roughing it on Venus for the past five years. This dark place was a much needed rest in comparison so far. After accepting Aegis’ help down they had been roused by a quirky kid. After a split second Claire remembered who this was. One of the omegas. Number 10. His name was on the tip of her toung. Ah right. Remmy. Good. He didn’t remember her. Her head tilted as her gaze grew cold. She was sizing him up. “My names‘ Claire.” She simply said in reply.
THE PROPHET
Kane meditated in the tower that oversaw Port Krin’s early morning traffic. A relative morning, as anywhere beyond Neptune Sol hung in the sky as just a brighter than average star. The plants around him bathed in slowly brightening artificial lights instead. He breathed in, and went over the numerous problems that faced his flock. A particularly insulting attempt at extortion the other day still roused his anger. He breathed out, and let the emotion burn out. Now he could think it over more clearly. With Atori still not making a move, the time was right to make a bolder, more public statement. A statement that NOD looks out for it’s own. If the brothers Kamarov wished to make themselves useful, then-
The sky went purple. Kane opened his eyes.
“Finally.”
He rose to his feet, and made his way back. The small greenhouse was built into a cliff face, disguised as an observation post for the local air traffic control. On top of the cliff stood a huge parabolic dish that was the actual observation post. Their small hidden enclave tapped into it for both power, and more importantly data. All his followers hovered around the small screen that displayed the information, to see for themselves that Kane’s prophecy turned out to be real. They parted like the Red Sea before him to let him see.
Overhead, a huge fleet pursued a small cruise liner, before both signals were lost in a haze of jamming. Kane smiled and held out his hands.
“Behold, a pale horse! And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. The time has come, my brothers and sisters. Send out the messengers, and prepare our churches. The storm I foretold is upon us!”
----
Innocent little packages waited for the Omega on persephone, labelled with a ruby red scorpion tail. Inside was a simple brick phone and a handwritten note.
“Greetings. It is I, Kane. I will be brief, Atori is upon us. You may stand, or you may run. For those that wish to make a stand, I suggest you seek me out so we may stand together. For those that wish to run, I have arranged a transport to take you far into the deepest reaches of the belt, an expert blockade runner that even Atori will have trouble catching. Enclosed in this package is a phone with a one time pad encryption. Use it to contact a nearby NOD enclave for further details, or destroy it. Either way I reckon we will meet again.
Until then, fare well.”
----
THE CAPTAIN
Meanwhile, several hundred kilometers away Matthias rode out into the wastes with his away team. Which really boiled down to two washed out former security goons, a tech with a liking for shotguns, and Helmut’s half wit brother Hans from the galley. Behind them Mostly Harmless nestled at the end of a long stretch of mostly flat dirt. The crew on board would turn her around and get set to bugger out while they sorted out whomever decided to give Atori such a headache. While he had yet to see their face or hear out what their deal was, Matthias liked them already.
“Who do you reckon is on board?” one of the security goons, Boyle, wondered out loud. Matthias glanced back with his single un-augmented eye.
“Hell if I know, probably an exec that screwed over Maxwell himself if Atori pulling out that sort of hardware.” Matthias said as he pointed skywards.
“Maybe it’s one of them Omegas.” Hans offered.
“Omegas? Have you been listening to that preacher guy again? I’m telling you that man is full of bullshit. Sure as shit is no sky fairy giving me a damn thing, let alone superpowers. I had to work for everything I damn own.” the technician, Daniels, replied. Matthias silently concurred, but he needed to concentrate on their route. Thankfully someone already made tracks to follow into the valley, and even so there were plenty of tricky to navigate rocky slopes into the valley. Unlike the trailblazer, Matthias had to guide a much heftier eight wheeled salvage truck down here.
The smoking remains of the pod were easy to spot, close to a smaller, simpler rover with a guy who picked possibly the worst place to go and stargaze. Matthias traced the impact of the pod. Honestly, Stargazer guy was lucky to be alive.
“Ahoy thar!” he yelled out as they rode closer. “Anyone here need a holy shit what happened to that pod?” he changed subject mid sentence. The escape pod had been torn open like a giant banana peel. He didn’t even want to begin to guess at the sheer raw strength required to just tear open the pod in that way. Strength that had to be applied from the inside. Maybe Atori wasn’t here with this much firepower just because the pilot of the luxury cruiser pissed them off that much.
He shook it off quickly. Time to assess just what exactly was going on here. Nothing and nobody came at them with murderous intent yet, and it seemed really, really important to keep it that way.
“Uhm yeah. So, anyone need a ride here?”
His crew peeked over the rim of the cargo area, curious what audibly shook Matthias so much.
OMEGA-22, Lucian Kersey
Lucian always made it a point to keep himself busy. Especially since they got here, he'd found that doing nothing was the least appealing option. From the moment he woke every day, he was always bright-eyed and ready to get to work. Though, he power put him into an interesting position. All the necessities were covered - food and water could be created from any other matter nearby, meaning that farms and finding fresh sources of water was a waste of time. That went for housing and shelter as well. Even though they were living on Persephone, life could still be considered very comfortable. It's not like they needed to go anywhere any time soon. Lucian, for one, wanted to go out. He didn't want to live out the rest of his days on the planet, withering away in his own solitude. With that said, thus far they weren't in a position to leave and return to their normal lives - that would mean confronting the strongest man in the universe, and his army behind him. Not only that, but some people didn't want to leave.
In particular, he had found that repairing ships with his ability was the most useful application, at this pointHe primarily hung around the docks and hangars throughout the day, repairing ships, helping with cargo, and even creating more of whatever cargo people needed for transport. There was no reason not to, after all, as resources for his transmutations were practically infinite. This day was no different. Lucian was at the main hangar of the docks, the same one where Omega-1 current was helping with labor. Lucian was in the middle of repairing a large transport ship, meticulously forming the newly created material for the hull of the ship. Just as he was finishing up on the last portions of the ship, he noticed the commotion at the entrance of the hangar. While at first he ignored it, he realized there must be some sort of problem after even Omega-1 joined them.. Completing the repairs, he took his leave, heading to the entrance of the hangar and joining the crowd that had gathered to gawk at the massive oncoming fleet. The ring indicated a warp jump - a massive one, at that. Jumps these massive weren't frequent, not mentioning how small and insignificant this planet was.
If this was Atori Industries, the entire planet was going to turn into a warzone. They needed to prepare however they could. Sadly, there was absolutely no warning that this would happen, the jump coming from absolutely nowhere. It could be mere minutes before the planet went up in flame. While Lucian spent a few seconds staring idly, he quickly snapped out of his trance, heading over to Abigail at the ration booth. "What do you think, Abigail? We'll need to act quickly and formulate a strategy, or things will fall apart quickly. Even if we survive, the planet itself is going to be turned to ruins. I doubt the people here even have time to evacuate - not safely, at least. At this point, we know not what their goal is or where they're headed, but gathering all available Omegas together would be the best bet." Lucian took a step away, craning his neck slightly towards the ceiling in thought. The Non-Omega inhabitants of the planet were likely in no place to even try to fight back against a full on invasion like this, so making sure they escape would be the likely option. Making them fight would be a useless waste of life on a grand scale. As he had mentioned, though, was there even a way to get them away from the inevitable battle? Trying to get the transport ships to load on people as quickly as possible would be the best way to ensure that the people who wanted to escape were able to.
