Shannon Sullivan

Shannon smiled when Carrick mentioned his studies. "Well, as long as you're working hard, huh? I hope it's all going well for you, because someone's got to make an honest living in this family," she joked. "Speaking of which, we should go find them. I think Conor is in one of his silly moods today, so someone's going to have to haul his behind back home at some point and I'm not doing it." Shannon glanced back towards the arsehole known as Vinnie, before heading away to find the others. "Sinead's going to be joining us too, with your new niece," she noted. From the warm tone of his mother's voice, Carrick might gather that Shannon was no longer angry or bitter towards his sister.

Carrick just rose an eyebrow when his mother joked on how someone should be making a honest living in the family. When she mentioned how they should find his siblings, Carrick had nodded because he knew how conor got when he was on his moods. So now it had to be him that should haul him off back to the Sullivan family, which sounded really troublesome. "I honestly think that Finn or Aidan should do the hauling, I don't think I'm string enough for that." That part was a joked, being that even if he wasn't involved in any Sullivan business, he still exercised to keep himself in shape. The part that made him walk faster toward the location of his sibling came when she mentioned his niece, someone that he hadn't seen at all. It was kinda exciting thinking about seeing her. Salvatore Romano
d5c07acf66d8147e23f76d7a3105759a.jpgSalvatore had quite enjoyed the last few years in London, getting to know the gangs there and forming lasting business relationships. He'd also taken the time to teach Junior the ways of the criminal business whilst ensuring Juniper learned how to look after herself. He wouldn't always be around to protect his kids so he needed to equip them with the skills to protect themselves, as well as giving more seasoned gangsters a run for their money. One of the only things he'd missed about Italy was the warm and dry weather - London hardly shared the Mediterranean sunshine. One thing he didn't miss about Italy was that whore ex-wife of his, Elisabetta. If it hadn't been for their twins, he would have given that bitch a painful death the minute he learned of her infidelity, ten years ago.

As the Romano driver passed through the city, Salvatore looked out of the window and was glad to see it was a sunny day today. He'd heard Chicago's weather wasn't much better than London's. The closer they got to his brother's place, the more Salvatore began to think about how things would go down with the older man. He hadn't been able to make it to Gianna's funeral as by the time he was informed of her death it was too late for him to get to Chicago. No doubt Vinnie would hold that again him for a little while. He'd very recently received word of Lorenzo's death and that was a tricky one. Salvatore shared his brother's view that traitors should be killed, but their own family? He wasn't sure if he'd have killed his cousin and he wasn't sure if he'd be able to hold his tongue on that matter. As for the Sullivans, now that was an interesting one. There'd been a long history of the the families being at war and Salvatore knew it was two-sided. One of Emmet's closest men (Ronan Porter) had seen to their father's death, after all. Apparently, Porter's own son is Romano blood - Rayna's bastard son - and was now married to the Sullivan bitch who killed Gianna. Salvatore had been fond of his sister-in-law, so he wasn't happy about the woman who murdered Gianna still being alive. Vinnie seemed to favour torture over killing their enemies. If only he'd followed the same path in dealing with Lorenzo and at least kept the traitorous arsehole of a cousin alive.

"Are you both good"? Salvatore asked Junior and Juniper, looking over his shoulder to the twins who were sat in the back of the car. "It must be at least a year since you both saw your cousins; Alexandra and Nicolo. I bet they can't wait to see you," he noted. He couldn't help but chuckle. "They'll certainly be happier to see you than Vinnie will be to see me," he half-joked. The brothers generally got along, but Salvatore knew Vinnie wouldn't immediately be happy to see his brother on his doorstep. Vinnie was a proud man who rarely accepted help from family. Whether he wanted it or not, he would be getting it. Salvatore would even go along with his older brother's methods until the best time to suggest alternatives came along.

The black van laid idle, the engine peacefully humming. Angel leaned against the side of the van door, crunching his knuckles in front of his mouth as he watched from afar. The distance between him and his daughter was just as symbolic as it was real. As his rugged eyes watched, he couldn't help but admit the bitter truth, that he had gotten so close, yet lost it all.

"That's my daughter," Angel muttered to Leo as his teeth sunk into his knuckles. "That's my fuckin' daughter," he said louder and more clear. He slowly shook his head, as he pulled his teeth from his skin, temporary marks left behind. He grabbed the handle of the door, slamming it shut. "Let's do it," Angel bitterly said as the car began to move once more.

He rested against the side of the van, his hateful eyes traced on the pump action shotgun on his lap. He had loaded in several slugs, before cocking a shell into the chamber. He looked up to Leo, clenching the shotgun in his hands. "We finish this, tonight."

Leo followed Angel's gaze out of the window as the man watched Sinead with the baby. For all of the man's crimes and malice, Leo couldn't deny how much seeing his baby and not being able to take care of her was getting to him. It was a different side to Angel and one Leo hadn't really witnessed before. Regardless of what Vinnie had been saying over the last few weeks, Leo saw past the man's disregard for Angel's feelings and saw a man who was genuinely broken at the life he couldn't have. Leo wished things could be different and the baby could grow up with both of her parents. So many people in Leo's life hadn't grown up with both parents. Though it was a good thing, Athena's children would grow up without their father. He wished she'd asked him back into her life. He would have cared for those kids like they were his own.

Leo nodded as Angel repeated himself to say the baby was his daughter. "I'm sorry, Angel..." he sadly spoke. Whatever good his pity was to anyone. Perhaps it was the idealist still hiding within him, but Leo found himself wishing there was a way Angel and Sinead could be together. He knew that couldn't happen, not after the things he'd already done to Sinead's family.

Leo slowly nodded his head when Angel slammed the door shut and said it was time to finish the plan. He glanced to the shotgun Angel had loaded, a brief wave of anxiety filling him but leaving just as fast. He was certain nobody innocent would be harmed. Sinead and Savannah were going to remain safe and out of this. "Okay. I'm ready," he assured him.

The van idled in front of the Sullivan home, as two of the guards opened up the gate. The van slowly rolled down the gravel road, before being stopped by the third guard. He looked to the side of the van, reading, "Jasper's Brewing Co." The guard used the side hand railing of the van to step up to the driver's door. The driver happily obliged as he was ordered to roll down his window. "Do you got papers I need to sign or wha-" The man was cut off as Angel shot up from the passenger seat. The man's eyes raised in surprise as the shotgun's aim snapped out to his face. The pellets lodged themselves in the man's upper chest, throwing him off the van. Angel cocked the shotgun back, sending the steaming shell spinning onto the dashboard. He cocked it once more, loading in a fresh slug. Before the two other guards had time to react, the back of the van's door swung open, allowing Romano goons to fill them with lead.

The two guards inside the home perked up to the sounds of what seemed to be gunshots. They quickly looked to each other, just as the gunfire seemingly went quiet. The silence seemed to only unsettle them more, as they gripped their holstered guns and gingerly made their way to the front door.

Just as one of the guards reached for the handle, Angel's shoe met the door knob on the other side. The power of the kick caused the side of the doors frame to splinter off, swinging the door wide open. The collision of the door met the head of the guard, opening a large gash in his forehead and sending him to the ground. Angel quickly raised the aim of the shotgun towards the standing guard's chest, firing the round point blank. The force of the hit sent the guard flying across the room, slamming into the bookcase against the wall, before collapsing on the floor. Angel pumped the shotgun and lowered his aim down to the dazed guard in front of him. Before he could fire another round, a spitting and snarling Lady came sprinting down the stairs. She let out an aggressive bark before chopping her teeth into Angel's forearm. Angel let out a loud grunt, mixed with pain and frustration, as he threw the dog off of him. Lady crashed against the mirror on the side of the wall, before whimpering into a pained cradle. Angel hadn't missed a beat, reaiming on the guards head and practically splitting it in half.

He stomped up the stairs as he pumped the shotgun once more, just as the Romano goons started to enter the house. Without saying a word, he slammed the butt of the shotgun against James' head, causing a nasty welt to form on the side of his skull. He turned into James' chest as he was discombobulated, smashing the butt of the shotgun against his chest. This caused James to fall down the stairs, landing just at the feet of the goons. He looked to Lucy, hatred and malice in his eyes. He used his left hand to latch onto her hair, and his right to shove the barrel of the shotgun just under her chin. With her completely in his grasp; he moved her down the stairs before throwing her into the arms of one of his goons.

Leo Davide and James Porter

Leo followed behind Angel, his intention being to cover the man rather than murder more people. When Angel booted the door in and entered the house, Leo remained by the entrance, keeping watch in case any other Sullivans showed up, whilst also checking Angel wasn't in any trouble. The amount of carnage Angel was able to create in a short amount of time never ceased to amaze, or shock, Leo. He cringed a little as the dog was thrown against the mirror, but he was very relieved to know the animal would be okay. Animals and kids were innocents in all of this mess.

******

James was washing his face when he heard some commotion downstairs. He heard Lady bark, but it was her whimper that worried him. He quickly patted his face dry before twisting to reach for the gun he'd actually left on the bed after getting changed into his suit. The quick movement caused the pain to once again radiate from the healing gunshot wound in his back and down his leg. He gritted his teeth as he tried to push the pain aside and rushed out onto into the hallway to retrieve his gun from the bedroom. That's when he saw Angel and he didn't get chance to warn Lucy before the butt of the Italian's shotgun collided painfully against his head. "You fucking-" he began, before then feeling the shotgun slam into his chest. Were he not still recovering from Angel's previous attack at the wedding, James was sure he could have taken him on right now. Instead, he found himself falling down the stairs and landing at the feet of some men. He wasn't sure who they were, he was barely able to see anything right now. Barely even conscious.

Leo stood over James as he watched the two Romano goons restrain the Irishman. He could tell by looking at James that Angel had done the hard work of knocking any strength out of the the physically strong man. Otherwise, he was sure James would be putting up much more of a fight right now. Leo had to remind himself James and Lucy were the ones behind Gianna's death.

Sinead Sullivan

Sinead had been so mesmerised and taken in by Savannah that she had been completely oblivious to Angel watching her a short distance away. Completely unaware that Lucy and James would soon be in trouble. A short time after Angel and Leo had gone off to the Sullivan house, Sinead decided to get to the fair before anyone started to worry. She carefully placed Savannah in the pram and just as she was about to set off, she sensed a car slowing down close behind her. When she turned to look, she realised it was a cop car and was somewhat relieved to see Officer Lockwood raise his hand in a single wave of acknowledgement. She sent him a small smile, knowing that particular cop was friendly with Conor. She watched him drive off as she began walking the rest of the way to the fair.

When she finally got to the fair, Sinead spotted her mum, brothers and cousins, so sent them a friendly wave. She was still pretty tired having only just left the hospital that morning, so perched herself on a nearby bench and held her restless daughter once again. She smiled to Carrick, wondering if he wanted to come see Savannah or if he would be weary of his niece, being that it took him some time to come to terms with Angel being the father.

Sinead's attention was drawn to the woman who sat beside her and told her Savannah is beautiful. She recognised the woman as Rayna, James' mother. Rayna had been at the wedding, after all. "Thank you. Your baby is cute too," she sweetly told her, looking to the older baby, Bella. "James will be sad he missed you. He's gone out for a birthday meal with Lucy. Didn't want the rest of us cramping their style," she commented.

Sinead once again glanced to her family, a warm smile still on her face as she rocked Savannah in her arms. It was a lovely summer's day, people were out having fun and her family were around her. Sinead wanted to bottle this moment and keep it forever.

Salvatore Romano Jr.
Misty Gray Misty Gray deer deer

Junior was anxious, though it didn't read in his expression. He was lounging in the backseat beside Juniper, his wiry frame resting loosely against the leather seat. He drummed his fingers against his knee, peering out the window. There was an easy smile tucked between his teeth.

London hadn't suited him. Sure, he had known the grimiest, swarthiest bits - been kicked into the pavement and hung out to dry too many times to count, but even that hadn't peaked his interest for long enough to satisfy. There was something he had been missing, something it hadn't completely delivered. Italy had been the dream of a child, London a passing, dry intrigue. He was hoping Chicago might be a paradise.

Biting down slightly on his bottom lip, he perked up at the sound of his father's voice, round eyes flittering from the window to the front seat.

He nodded at the inital question. "Hangin in there, Pop." His voice was reminiscent of Salvatore's, though perhaps more crisp, more chipper. There was potential energy in every syllable, and with it, a few defining idiosyncrasies, a touch of an accent, a suggestion of familial cadence, that he could banish at will. It would take only a slight thought for him to shift his voice into something indistinguishable from his father's. His wasn't the only voice he could bring to light. Juniper was the other contributing factor. He remembered when his voice had changed, when the sudden stretch, break, and gravel had forced him to adjust in order to mimic her as he had done before. He was stronger for it. A child could only do so much. Doors had opened then, despite the initial panic. So had gone every change that time had brought to his doorstep.

Junior's smile widened as his father continued, leaning forward slightly in his seat. It was simultaneously a child's expression and the look of someone who might very well anticipate the worst.

He was excited to be reunited with his cousins and his uncle. Junior was terribly enraptured by the thought of being so close, working together, being part of a bigger whole that all looked out for the other. It might not be as he hoped it would, but he was convinced it would not be because of any reluctance on his part. He was as fond as he could be for his extended family, not at all as close as he was to his father, and not even in the same realm of thought as he was to his twin, but fond none the less. It was tragedy that had called them to return, he knew. The news had reached every part of their family. Junior had the feeling it was unfinished business, in a manner of speaking, that brought them calling. His father was meant to be supporting his Uncle Vinnie, though what form that would take, he wasn't certain. Whichever way things went, at least he knew he would be ready, despite what he would feel when the time arose. That wasn't his priority, despite his tendency to be impeded by it.

His cousins were without a mother now. It was something the twins could understand, though the natures of such things were entirely different. Sympathy was easier faked. Even so, Junior had been honestly troubled when he had heard. He hoped his cousins were well.

As much as this was a reunion, it was a step into unknown waters. He recognized that he was ignorant in much of the inner workings of this place. Though, as always, he was a fast learner, thirsty for knowledge and first-hand experience.

"Oh come on, let's stay positive. Maybe he'll surprise you. Family's a gift." It almost sounded like a jest, though he meant what he said. So was the nature of anything he expressed sincerely. With lies there was certainty. With honesty? He could never be sure.

"Isn't that right, Jun?" His eyes shifted in order to meet their identical pair, an amused question over his features.

Lucy had been applying lipstick in the mirror on her vanity when she heard the dogs begin to bark downstairs. The barking was normal so she went to line her cupids bow with the red tinted color when the barking was followed by a loud crash and a whimper. Her heart raced suddenly as she was frozen solid in her position. She looked towards the bed and noticed the gun James had left there. Her brows furrowed together, really hoping that she wouldn't need to use the gun when she heard the loud footsteps coming up the stairs and a brawl beginning to take place in the bathroom. Her heart almost stopped as she remembered James was in there.

Grabbing the gun, she lifted her dress slightly to place it in the thigh holster that she had recently purchased, never wanting to go without a gun...as it seemed danger lurked around every corner for the Porters. Quickly she moved towards the door and swung it open, prepared to fight for her husband when she saw him go tumbling down the stairs and the angry eyes of Angel meet her own. She had never seen so much hatred in one man as he grabbed her by the hair and pointed the shotgun barrel at her chin. Lucy hiss in pain and spewed every profanity she could think of as he forced her down the stairs. Her hands grasped the gun on her thigh, feeling the cool metal peek through the slit of her dress.

Lucy was horrified by the scene she found before her. James was beaten something fierce as two goons struggled to keep him standing upright, the familiar tears that were associated with seeing the man she loved in such a state pricked at her eyes. Blinking them back, she tried to remain calm as she took in the rest of the scene. Her eyes widened as she saw the bloody mess that was their dog. Lady was whimpering and breathing quickly as she laid in a heap amongst the blood and the glass from the shattered mirror. Samson was already beside her, his snout pressing against her body, shifting it slightly. He whimpered himself and Lucy's heart broke. Lucy swung her head back and connected it with Angel's nose forcing him to release a hold on her hair slightly and effectively swiveling the shot gun away from her face. Before she knew it, the gun she had been planning on hiding was quickly pulled out of her hostler and she began shooting at the goons that Angel had brought along. The first bullet went straight into the man on Jame's right, before the next two went into the chest of the man on his left. Lucy would accept her death if it were to come today. But she would be damned if she didn't try fighting for her little family.

Angel had kept his finger off the trigger, not planning on ending this here. He had to remind himself he had something special planned for these two, in order not to blow the head off her shoulders. He was caught off guard, but not shocked when Lucy decided to resist. The blow to his nose was enough for him to let go, instinctively moving his free hand for it. He watched the woman unholster a gun and fire off three rounds before anyone had the chance to smack the literal bitch out of her, but Angel was going to do just that. He threw the shotgun aside, grabbing her warm handgun by it's muzzle. He kept his finger in the chamber, disabling it's ability to fire. With a stiff yank, it was ripped from her grip. He then sent the back of his hand against her cheek, not holding much back.

Once Lucy was subdued from the rightfully deserved backhand, Angel ordered one of the men to drag Lucy, James, and the two injured guards back to the van. He looked to the mess around him, spitting on the floor. He rested his hand on Leo's shoulder as he tossed the shitte pistol aside. "This is the beginning of the end." He hissed to Leo. He then moved to the van with the rest of the guards, speeding off of the property. Lucy had seemed to fall unconscious like James. As for the two guards, it didn't look good for them.

Lucy was planning on fighting until her last breath...until Angel grabbed her gun by the muzzle and before she could even blink, the back of his hand connected so hard with her cheek that it sent her sprawling towards the tiled ground, yanking the gun from her hand. She hit the cool floor with a painful slap and hissed out as she squeezed her eyes shut. The blonde's cheek stung greatly and she could no longer hold the tears back as she felt that all hope was now lost. She had hoped that this was all over...that by separating the two...Angel would be out of Sinead's life...out of the Sullivan's lives....at least for a little while longer.

Her heart went to her sister, wondering what she would think after the father of her child slaughtered another few of her family members. She knew how devastating it would be for her...to loose so much. Conor wouldn't be able to live with himself...that much she knew...the man already doubted himself greatly as a leader and she wished he would just shut up and give himself the praise he deserved. This would definitely not help him now. Lucy thought to her family member's as men began to lift her from the floor roughly. Her head swam and everything sounded miles and miles away from her. The spots in her vision indicated that she would give up soon, her mind would shut down from such trauma and let her rest. The van floor was uncomfortable and cold, Lucy could feel James beside her, though she knew he wasn't awake. As the doors closed, Lucy let her eyes slide close and prayed that somehow...they would be able to get out of this alive.

The Chicago sun felt warm and relaxing against Lottie's tanned skin, a cheerful grin upon her red lips as she dodged past the sea of people celebrating the Fourth of July. Her eyebrows were furrowed together as she tried to spot a naive and idiotic victim to pickpocket from. Lottie hated it, but desperate time called for desperate measures and with her artwork hardly selling, it was her only way to survive.
Lottie's brown eyes focused on an old man, fat and chubby, with a golden watch and most likely his wallet in his suit's pocket. Lottie stumbled her way to the man, purposely bumping him to grab his attention.
"I'm so sorry!" Lottie spoke in fluent Spanish, her accent thick on her words as she slipped her hand into his pocket, stealing his watch and unclipping his golden watch off his wrist. The chubby man grunted before walking away.

A sigh escaped her lips as Lottie slipped the stolen things into her pocket, maybe she could give one away to Aidan like Robin Hood did with the poor. The woman pondered about the thought as she made it way to the carnival, wondering where Aidan was.

The large room was dark. Only a ray of light, beaming through a window, illuminated the space. It appeared to be an empty apartment. Lucy and James hung by their feet like bats, their hands tied behind their back. Angel was sitting in the seat opposite of them. The large mountain of TNT, and various other explosives, in the corner of the room would be an eyesore. He finally stood up, bringing the handgun with him. It was rather obvious, by the way he moved, that he was beyond tired and frustrated. “Here we are,” he spoke, his voice echoing due to the lack of furniture. “After all this fighting and bloodshed, all three of us are finally able to talk.” He couldn’t help, but let out a chuckle as he stuck his tongue into his cheek. He looked over to the blinds covering the windows, able to hear the sounds of Chicago through the closed window. “Any regrets?” He asked, turning back around to them.

He slowly walked back towards them, keeping the gun by his side. “I have only one.” He sat backwards on the chair, looking to the two of them. “My biggest mistake was making Emmet a martyr,” He looked off, seemingly lost in thought, before his gaze returned to Lucy’s. “I wish I could’ve exposed him for who he really was.” He looked to the floor and shook his head, chuckling lightly once again. He tapped his finger on the side of the trigger. “My only regret,” He repeated.

James woke to the intense headache radiating from the side of his skull, thanks to the earlier impact of Angel's shotgun. It almost made the pain in his chest and back unnoticeable. Almost. James gritted his teeth as his mind began to catch up with the situation. After briefly struggling, he knew he was firmly restrained and upside-down, to top it all off. He opened his eyes to see Angel standing opposite with a gun in his hand. James' anger was briefly held off as he quickly turned to see where Lucy was. She too was hanging in the same way and with a bruise across her face. That sick bastard had hit his beautiful wife. The rage inside James made him have another attempt at breaking free of his restraints. "Lucy..." he softly spoke her name, hoping she wasn't badly hurt. His attention was then drawn back to their captor as he began speaking. James tightened his jaw as he looked Angel directly in the eyes. "My only regret is not ignoring the repercussions and just killing you before now. Long before now..." he coldly told the Italian. James wasn't one for theatrics - just a quick bullet to the skull was usually enough. Right now, he found himself wishing he'd tortured Angel and given him a slow, painful death.

When Angel went on to speak about Emmet, James scoffed. The action caused a pain in his chest and he coughed up a small amount of blood, before simply arching his neck and spitting the red liquid out onto the floor. "Really? That's your only fucking regret? Let me down and I'll show you regret," James threatened him. "Emmet was a a million times the man you ever were. No... that's too generous. You are nothing. How can you even drag Emmet into this after everything you've done? You've got nothing on the man." He looked to Lucy, hoping she wasn't taking Angel seriously.

Angel had since gotten up, moving to look out the window. He had seemed relaxed, up until James had argued over the integrity of Emmet’s nature. Angel snapped around, the sudden blaze of fury he held during the home invasion suddenly sparked back into his eyes. He stomped over to James, snapping the pistol to his head. The pressure of the barrel would certainly leave a red mark on James’ forehead, as Angel pressed it against him. “You know nothing about that man!” He spat, his deadly eyes shooting out to Lucy. “Neither of you do!” He looked back to James, not afraid to stare through his pupils, directly into his soul. “None of this has ever been about me doing Vinnie’s dirty work!” He clenched his jaw, his finger firmly set on the trigger. “Killing that son of a bitch has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember! When I finally did, it was the most pleasurably, satisfying experience I could’ve ever asked for…” He pulled the gun off of James’ head, keeping it by his side. “After what he did to her, I will cherish the memory of his dying eyes for the rest of my life.”

Angel wouldn’t leave even the slightest consideration of a bluff, for the emotions in his eyes ran rampant. “If you want anyone to blame for the misery of your family at my hand, blame him.” He coldly hissed. “I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for him.” A sick, twisted smile ran across his lips as every ounce of sanity and charm he used as a front had vanished. “Sinead was the only thing holding me from my ultimate goal. Now that she’s out of my life, i’m finishing this once and for all.

The voices were far away...but Lucy could hear them faintly. One voice in particular made her eyes snap open. James was looking to her with worry in his eyes...but something wasn't right...? Her eyes blinked a few times in confusion and she tilted her neck slightly, seeing her long blonde hair lightly brush the floor. They were hanging upside down and her hands were restrained behind her back. Angel was speaking... and she looked to him with a clenched jaw. Her cheek was throbbing and stinging painfully from the slap she had received....being upside down was making all the blood rush to her head, causing her to feel weak and woozy. James had argued for her father without hesitation and she couldn't have been more proud...Angel's reaction caused the woman to wince and she bit her lip as his eyes shot over to her.

Angel's words about her father stung deep, and she hoped the evidence wasn't clear on her face. James continued to threaten the man and insisted that Angel was nothing. Lucy couldn't have agreed with this more but..."No James...I think he's something. Human? No. A roach...one that you just can't seem to kill...even though its an awful little pest to those around it. That's exactly what he is." Lucy hissed out in anger. Sinead's name was brought up and Lucy was set on fire. "Don't talk about my sister as if she meant something to you!!" Lucy knew what was coming but fuck it, if this was her time to go she was going to give this asshole a lot to think about after she was gone...or at least she hoped. "You think any of this is going to work out in your favor Angel? That killing us is going to solve something! You love my sister? Killing her family is a really fucking funny way of showing it!" Lucy was trying to talk him down..

James closed his eyes as Angel pressed the gun against his head. For a moment, he wondered if this was finally it. The death he knew he'd have since he first started working full-time for the Sullivans. He only wished Lucy wasn't with him at this time. When Angel moved the pistol away, James opened his eyes again and met the man's piercing stare.

As risky as it was, especially having noticed the explosives, James was glad to hear Lucy also shooting venom at Angel. It showed him she wasn't defeated and wasn't giving up. "You took advantage of Sinead's sweet nature. Lucy is right. You didn't love her. You just used her as part of your games."

Lucy didn't seem to acknowledge Angel's words about her father as much as James did. He couldn't help but notice Angel was trying to suggest there was something about Emmet they didn't know. More than the whole Romano vs Sullivan war. It was to be expected that Lucy might not want to speak of the father she still grieved for. James couldn't ignore it, even if it did turn out to be more of Angel's mind games and attempts to upset them. "Why are you so hung up on Emmet? How can he possibly be to blame for your sick actions again the Sullivans?" James shook his head. "I don't believe you can blame anyone for the things you've done."

Angel shook his head, letting out a sinister chuckle. “You think this is about your sister? Your arrogance merely blinds you. Sinead was a speed bump in my ultimate goal. Taking her from me only refocused me on what I set out to do.” He looked to James as he questioned Emmet’s involvement in their misery. “Ah, well, i’m sure you're not surprised to hear that before Emmet was this “self-righteous father”, he was scum like the rest of us.” Angel moved back to the chair, sitting down once more. He took a deep breath, allowing the onion of his conscious to peel and for the truth to unravel.

“My mom was left all alone, younger than any of us, with the responsibility of a child. She loved me with all her heart, but the slots where her second favorite.” He chuckled to himself, reminiscing, as he looked to the floor boards. “When I was at school, she’d gamble her troubles away. She particularly liked this one Casino. She hadn’t known, nor would she have cared, that it was run by your family. She got in deep with sharks, and drowned. She owned you guys a lot of money, money she could only dream of having.” He looked up to the pair, the grim evident in his eyes. “Your loving father wasn’t so loving back then. He broke into our poor home and showed no compassion. His boys robbed her, beat her, and raped her, all while your dad watched.” His voice grew to a low rumble, his eyes staring directly into Lucy’s. “Just as she was begging for mercy, he shot her to death. I had no choice, but to listen, right under that bed. If they had seen me hiding there, they would've no doubt shot me too.”

He shook his head, his smile gone. “You know what that does to a child? I was never the same. Ever since then, I vowed to destroy your family. Tonight, Conor will give up control and the empire will collapse. Tonight, we will all die together.” Angel revealed his zippo lighter, gripping the fuze with the other hand, linked to the pile of explosives.

Lucy didn't want to talk about her father. She didn't want to remember what she had done to him...to her family. Angel revealing his sick pleasure in all of it was making her ill..and she wasn't sure that she could handle any more of his words. He was just trying to get into their heads...was that it? Lucy had fallen for this man's tricks one to many times and she wondered if this time was no different. James indulged in Angel's words though, despite him always telling her to not listen to Angel. The question about what her father had done to him...insisting that Angel couldn't blame anyone else but himself for the crimes he committed, made her look to Angel in wonder.

Lucy wasn't prepared for the story of Angel's childhood and her blood ran cold at the words the flowed from his lips. Lucy didn't want to believe her father could have done those things...no...that seemed far more like that actions of Vinnie. Lucy knew her father killed men from time to time, but women? The world spun around Lucy as the news was overwhelming to her. She shook her head slowly and let the tears stream down her face, feeling as though the wonderful image of her father was now torn from her memory and replaced with this ugly one. "No..." She whimpered. The news was hardly over as Angel revealed the zippo lighter in his hand and the fuse. The numbness throughout her body started to set in, fear was the only thing keeping her from passing out completely. Her eyes went to James and she revealed the fear she was feeling so intensely in those moments. It was crazy how fast everything could go to shit...and yet she knew that if she were to die...at least it was by her husband's side. Lucy didn't have any fight left in her...seeing no way out.

Leo Davide and Sinead Sullivan

Leo had been at the apartment with Angel before Lucy and James had woken up. Seeing the explosives and the fury in Angel eyes made Leo want to get out of there fast. He soon found himself sat in his car which he'd parked there earlier that morning, ready for if a getaway was needed. As he sat at the steering wheel, he realised Angel perhaps wasn't even intending on escaping. Having been in the home of James and Lucy, seeing the dogs, the idea of a normal life, Leo wasn't sure anymore that those people deserved to die. Weren't they just another cirumstance of the lives they'd been born into? Leo wanted all of three people in the apartment to walk out of there. Having seen some of the Sullivans heading to the park earlier, he knew what he had to do.

It didn't take Leo long to see Sinead sat down with Savannah and, surprisingly, the warmly familiar face of Rayna. He slowly approached the mother of Angel's daughter, his body language open to show he wasn't a threat, even though he suspected not many of the Sullivan would think he was. Before he even got chance to speak, Shannon and some of the others were well within earshot. "Sinead, I know you don't know me... Rayna does..." he awkwardly began. "I know Angel and right now he has your sister, as well as your brother-in-law... I'm really sorry, but I think he's going to do something very drastic. You and your daughter might be the only ones who can stop him now," he told her. He'd seen the way Angel had been when speaking of his daughter and despite everything else, it was clear the man genuinely cared for Sinead and the daughter he wasn't allowed to know. "Please, I'm begging you to come with me." He saw the cold and distrusting look Shannon was sending him, so spoke before she could. "Bring anyone with you. They can even drive my car. Hold a gun to my head. You just have to trust me on this. Please!"

Sinead held Savannah closer as she began to tremble. "Lucy..." she whispered as her eyes filled with tears. Whoever Leo was, he seemed to be telling the truth, which she hoped he wasn't. Angel had killed people close to her already so she didn't doubt he could kill Lucy and James too. She took a deep breath and stood up, realising she had to be strong right now. "Give me your car keys," she ordered Leo and held her hand to receive them. Shannon then stepped in, telling Finn and Carrick to accompany Sinead and Leo. Finn would drive. Conor was drinking more alcohol as they spoke, so Shannon decided she would take the anger he would display for not being involved in this. She wouldn't have him doing something stupid. Shannon got the details of where Angel was so she could catch up to them once she was sure everyone was safe at the fair.

As he listened to Angel's harrowing story, James made no interruptions, wanting to fully focus on the man's face to seek out any telltale signs of lies and deception. If the man was telling them truth, then what he'd seen as a child was no doubt upsetting and disturbing. If the man hadn't caused so much pain and suffering, James might he feel pity for the man. James didn't believe it would excuse Angel's actions, but this gave a reason and motive. An explanation as to how one man could be so messed up in the head.

James glanced to Lucy, trying to see how this was affecting her. He'd known Emmet was a different man before he settled down with his family. Ronan had always told James that Emmet had been more violent and hot-headed, whilst Shannon was quite an agreeable and calm woman. He'd joked that the married couple had switched personalities at some point. Ronan had never told James anything suggesting Emmet could have done things quite so brutal as what Angel was saying. He wondered how much Shannon knew, considering she'd known everything about James' past too.

Seeing Angel with the lighter, James realised it was very unlikely he and Lucy would get the chance to ask Shannon for the truth. Soon, they wouldn't know anything, if Angel had his way. "Lucy," he began, deciding to spend his last moments speaking with his wife. "I love you and you've made-"

The voice of Detective Edwards was suddenly heard blaring through the window as the cops had surrounded the building. "Giovanni Gambino. We know you're in there!"

By the time Leo got near enough to the apartment block, the car park was swarming with cops. He stopped the car far enough away not to be ushered off or to catch unwanted police attention. Sinead didn't wait for Finn and Carrick before she rushed out of the car, still holding Savannah in her arms. There was a perimeter around the car park to keep civilians back from the scene, but Sinead didn't let it faze her. She saw Detective Edwards holding a megaphone to his mouth whilst shouting out Angel's name and ordering him to step out of the building, like that would even have any positive effect. She turned to see her cousins had caught up to her and carefully handed Savannah to Finn. "Stay as close as you can?" she softly asked.

Without warning, Sinead ducked under the police tape and approached the Detective. She heard some cops shouting for her to get back but she ignored them as she made a beeline for the detective. Edwards turned to face her and pointed for her to go back. "Miss Sullivan, you need move away. Now!" he firmly ordered her.

"You don't know what you're doing. Give me that..." she firmly told him, holding her hand out for the megaphone. Edwards was about to refuse when Officer Lockwood stepped in and quietly told the detective to give Sinead a chance. The police officer by now knew enough about Sinead, Angel and the baby. She might be the only chance they had. Reluctantly, Edwards handed the megaphone to Sinead and began trying to give her orders of what to tell Angel. "With all due respect, Sir. You don't know what you're talking about and you cops talking to him will only make things worse. Let me do it my way!"

Sinead stepped forward after the cops gave her some distance. She cleared her throat before lifting the megaphone to her mouth. This was terrifying and she only hoped she wouldn't fail everyone. "GIOVANNI! It's Sinead. Can you hear me? I need to talk to you..." her sweet voice boomed, loud enough to be heard clearly inside the apartment.

While Angel had relaxed, his facial expressions were grim. "Maybe if I hadn't gotten under that bed, they would've shot me in my mothers arms... Then Emmet would've been around to walk you down the aisle," Angel's voice didn't seem to be trying to provoke Lucy, more just his last words. "I guess no ones lucky." Angel snapped open the zippo lighter, brandishing a malicious flame. The long fuse rested over the open fire, quickly singeing, before lighting ablaze. Seeing as the fuse was long, it would take around three minutes for it to reach the explosive pile. Angel tossed it on the floor, before sitting down in front of them. He then heard his name being called out from outside. While he didn't look out the window, the flashing sirens soon illuminated the room. He looked to Lucy and James, his face completely passive. "I guess we'll have an audience."

He perked up at the sound of Sinead's voice, at first taken back. He slowly lowered his chin into his crossed arms. He figured she'd try and get him to release her sister and James, but with the fuse burning, she was wasting her time. He had no intentions of going to the window and trying to talk to her, but he kept his ears open to what she had to say.

Sinead looked to the window, but Angel showed no signs of responding. She wasn't even sure if she was already too late. Perhaps he'd already killed James and Lucy. But until she knew for sure, she had to try and find reason in the part of the man that she'd fallen in love with. "Giovanni, I've got Savannah here with me and... You know why I had to turn you away that day. You must know."

Sinead looked over her shoulder to her daughter, who was being held by Finn. She looked forward again and took a deep breath. "When I tell Savannah about her daddy, I want to tell her about the man I loved. The man who saved my life numerous times. The man who stopped me from losing my mind again and becoming something I didn't want to be." She wiped her eyes as they filled with tears. Her next words seemed to roll quickly and naturally from her tongue, she wasn't choosing her words. She was simply letting her heart talk. "I want to tell Savannah about the man who took me to see the beautiful views of the city. The man who danced with me. Took me to fancy restaurants or to adorable diners so he could share chocolate milkshake with me." The faintest smile formed on her lips. "The man who took me ice-skating and fell flat on his behind!" she lightly added.

Sinead felt her entire body shaking as the emotions threatened to take over and render her unable to speak. Her heart ached for the man she had known. The man who in her mind was not the same one who had murdered her dad and caused so much heartache for her family. She took a deep breath. "I'm sorry you can't be with me and Savannah. I'm going to give her the best life and all the love she could ever need. But I'm scared, Giovanni. Please don't take Lucy and James away from me. I need them to help me. I can't take any more pain. I can't lose anyone else. I'm begging you to stop whatever you're doing and let them go. I don't want Savannah to know her daddy killed her aunt and uncle. Please..." she said. Her voice faltered as she began to cry, which Angel would hear loud and clear. "Please, Giovanni..." she breathlessly asked, the exhaustion taking over her ability to speak.

Finn had been enjoying his time at the fair with his family and was indulging in all the typical fair things when a man informed them all of Angel and how he had both Lucy and James. Finn nodded his head firmly at his Aunt's orders and quickly set into action. The drive was made quick, speeding through the streets as much as the traffic would allow, being the 4th of July and all..it was crowded with more people and cars than usual. His eyes set on the location Shannon had given them as he made quick and careful work of the trip, remember about the little one in the back seat. Finding the whole area blocked off. Finn quickly got out of the vehicle with the rest of them as he looked around at the chaos.

Finn went wide eyed as Sinead handed him little Savannah before quickly ducking under the police tape. Finn stayed within the perimeter but was as close to her as he could possibly get. The little girl in his arms didn't fuss or even cry at the commotion around them and he wondered what she must have thought was going on. The direness of the situation not even phasing the little infant. Finn watched as his cousin bravely moved towards the officers. He wasn't sure if she would be able to get the megaphone from them...but was surprised when it was given to her. Looking up towards the window that Angel, James and Lucy were in he prayed that they would make it out...his cousins at least. Her words were sweet and sincere...Finn hadn't really understood why Sinead fell in love with the man, with him being so aligned with Vinnie. Little Savannah's eyes peeked open at what was her mother's voice and Finn looked down at the child a bit nervously. He hoped that this child was too young to know about any of this..that she wouldn't be able to see this. Finn tucked the child a bit closer to his chest, shielding her from the world around them. Feeling as though this was already going to emotionally damage the poor dear. Sinead's words hung in the air as she finished her speech, begging the man she had loved and brought a child into the world with to not end James and Lucy's life. Finn held his breath and continued to look up at the window with the crowd...wondering if they were already too late.

tumblr_otlm84I5RH1qdpkdoo2_500.png
Angel's words stung once more as he taunted Lucy about the wedding he had destroyed..reminding her that her father had never walked her down the aisle. His last words seemed to be the final blow for her as he finally lit the fuse. The blonde watched in horror as it ignited and began working its way up the line. It was long by the looks of it...but it would only last a few minutes at most.
Lucy knew that at this point death was coming sooner rather than later, her heart raced in her chest as she looked to James...who began speaking to her in a way that sounded like goodbye. She shook her head again slightly, swinging a bit with the motion. She wouldn't go out this way. A voice cut her husband off and her eyes went to the window seeing the flashing police beacons, an officer telling Angel they knew he was in the building and ordering him to get out. An audience...that's what Angel called it. Lucy was just about to spew out a few more hateful words his way when an all too familiar voice came from outside. She held her breath as her sister began to speak of the terribly sweet things she had experienced in her time with Giovanni.

Lucy looked to Angel and wondered how he could pull off living two individual lives, how he won his sister's heart. Lucy's eyes filled with tears and fell onto the floor of the apartment. Blurring her vision as she looked to James for a moment. Her sister was doing the strongest thing she possibly could do...and she didn't have to lose her innocence and kill anyone. She could have smiled with joy at her sister's courageousness, but the flame continued to move up the fuse and time was beginning to move at a rapid pace. Angel didn't move to the window, didn't speak as Sinead's words hung in the air. She looked to him in the deafening silence, only hearing the loud hissing of what could be the very thing that ends it all.

Aidan grew worried over what would happen to his cousin and Lucy. The boy sighed, watching as his family left the carnival. "Cher Dieu." he mumbled. He took a sip out of the can of beer he was holding but he was clearly on edge.
The freckled young man ran his hands through his curls as he leaned against the base of a nearby tree. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a familiar woman with bronze skin. Aidan turned, his eyes focusing on the young woman. He walked towards the girl, "Hey Lottie." He greeted, offering a gentle smile. His spirits were ever so slightly lifted at the sight of her.

The young man met the latin woman a few weeks ago, while at the pub. He had been the case of her pickpocket habit but being the observer that he is, called her out on it. Aidan wasn't angry but taken aback. Instead of reporting her, he offered the girl some money of his. Though their meeting wasn't the best of circumstances, you could say that the two were pretty good friends. Aidan found himself often thinking of the girl for some reason or another...

Athena heard some commotion going on in another direction, she turned her head, catching sight of the Sullivans. One of them being sweet Sinead and a little baby in her arms. She bit her lower lip, hoping everything was fine. The sight of Leo was what surprised her though, what was he doing conversing with them? She was starting to worry a bit. She turned her gaze back to Vinnie and Jewels, wanting to ask what's going on but not wanting to do so in front of his date.
