James Porter

uft-jpg.378642
James frowned when Cormac confirmed Vinnie was still alive and well. That was a damn shame, as far as James was concerned. "What kind of bloody idiot takes a shot and doesn't finish the job? Who the Hell did it? I don't recall Conor mentioning anything about shooting Vinnie." James shook his head as he couldn't help but think it had been yet another wasted opportunity.

When Cormac spoke up about Conor needing to be braver in attacking Vinnie, James reluctantly nodded his head. It wasn't that he disagreed, more that he would prefer to speak his mind about Conor with the man in question also present. "You're right, but Conor is afraid to act in case it further endangers his family. Of course, I'd love nothing more than to hit back at the Romanos - to watch Vinnie break before putting a bullet in his skull and finishing the job."

The man's next words took James by surprise. He suddenly stood straight and looked Cormac square in the eyes, trying to gauge if this was some kind of a joke. He didn't believe in a million years that Conor had asked for them to kidnap Alex. James had seen with his own eyes how much his boss loved the Romano girl. Regardless of how much he disagreed with the relationship, he knew the two were clearly in love. Or so he thought. "Wait a minute," James said, letting out a short laugh. "It's not that I'm against the idea, not after what that family has done to the Sullivans and myself, but we should run this by Conor first." The way James was feeling, he'd do anything to make Vinnie feel the kind of loss Lucy and himself were feeling. The kind of pain and suffering the Italian had so freely dealt out to Conor's family before now. Figuring Cormac knew nothing of Conor's love life, James found himself compelled to preserve the secret.

Cormac gave a shrug "from what I gathered Conor never gave the order so some idiot failed and is after putting us right into the firing line" his lips were tights but there was still a glint of excitement in his eyes. While he came over looking for action, Cormac hadnt expected it so soon and he was utterly delighted. He nodded to what James said about Conor being afraid for his family "thats fair enough but yous are all in danger anyway, from what Ive gathered you've all been affected even Sinead was targeted" Cormac said "they dont show any mercy and we need them to think we dont either".
Cormac watched as James stood straighter and cocked his head intrigued by his reaction, this to Cormac showed James to be a good follower and friend, wanting to run things past Conor before action and Cormac knew that he was going to have to do the same. A smirk took over his features as he sat forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "Conor suggested taking Alex, he seems a bit nervous about roughing her up but I told him he doesnt need to worry his pretty little head about it and that we'll take control off it" he crossed his hands as he looked at James "he wants you to help me as well, taking Vinnies eldest daughter will send a message Im sure"

Nicolo raised an eyebrow at Alex's shocked reaction and the weakness in her voice, he went to speak again when the door opened to show Olivia. A smile rested on his lips for a moment as he kissed her in greeting before putting an arm around her.
Alex looked at Olivia when she entered the room, she felt like she was drowning, while Lucy and James had come around to the idea, she knew her family never would. "Off course Im not, dont be absolutely ridiculous" she said with more strength in her voice before she looked around at those in the room "you's all think that lowly off me?" She questioned looking at them in turn.
Nicolo scoffed "then what were you doing with them that night?" He questioned, anger still lacing his tone. Nicolo watched as Alex turned to him, her face resembled her righteous moods and looked as it normally did when she cussed her dad for his actions.
"What happened to Finnian Sullivan that night was wrong and you know it, sure you were traumatised by the whole thing" Alex exclaimed, anger also present in her tone. "They know Im not involved, that I dont agree with the gang shit and so they grabbed me off the street and brought me to an empty pub" she exclaimed. "I offered to help them as a once off because I believed they had suffered enough and Finn was innocent, noone theyve ever targeted in our family has been innocent and father has always gone after the innocent members" Nicolo fell silent as Alex looked around the room "so think what you want off me but dont ever assume something, now Im going to visit father" Alex told them before looking at Leo with a soft smile "I will visit again later" she told him before grabbing her bag and leaving the room. Alex knew she better visit her father now incase that speech hadnt worked and Nicolo told her father anyway.

Sinead Sullivan

zoeydeutch-jpg.378641
Sinead watched Peter as he took a seat next to her. He seemed to be so interested in hearing her problems when most of Conor's guys would have just ran a mile or acted like nothing was going on so they didn't have to get involved with emotional drama. When he asked her what had happened with Lucy, she opened her mouth to speak but no words came out as she suddenly hesitated. She was sure he already knew enough about Angel, being that Savannah had to come from somewhere, but she couldn't help but feel worried about telling Peter everything. Surely he wouldn't want to be near her after knowing more.

"I don't know how much you've already heard," she told him, looking almost pleadingly into his eyes. She didn't want to lose whatever kind of connection she'd just made with Peter. "I never meant to hurt my family, but I betrayed them. After Vinnie arranged for me to walk in on a dead body and had my apartment trashed, I had to come live back here and I lost myself. Angel helped me, even saved my life twice, and I fell in love with him. I felt guilty but I thought he was helping me at a time that I didn't want to ask my family for help and give them more to worry about." Sinead took a deep breath and bit her lip. "Whilst he was being good to me, he was hurting my family and I was foolish, blinded, whatever you want to call me I've probably called myself a million times over. He was the one who murdered my daddy and after that he persisted to attack Lucy and James." She quickly wiped her tearful eyes and then held Savannah a little closer, seeking comfort from the warm bundle of innocence. "After Lucy found out about Angel and me, my family were furious. Regardless of how it might seem otherwise, my family is the most important thing to me, so Angel and I had to end. He got revenge at Lucy's wedding. He shot both Lucy and James. He killed poor David and Kate." She took a deep breath. "As a result of Lucy's injuries, she just learned today that she can't ever have a baby of her own. Savannah's own daddy is the reason Lucy and James can't start a family together. They're devastated and it's all my fault. How will they ever be able to look at Savannah and me the same again? How can any of my family?" she asked, no longer able to hold in her crying. "I'm really not a good person, Peter. I'm sorry if I made you think otherwise of me."

Conor Sullivan

gbhdfh-jpg.377092
Conor followed Lucy into the kitchen as he wondered what on Earth the problem could be. When she grabbed some bottles of alcohol it only caused his concern to deepen. "This doesn't sound good," he told her, his voice free of any humour or sarcasm. Today had already been a long day and he was doing everything in his power to not rush back to his office to tell the other guys the whole kidnapping plan was off. Whilst he knew his methods were nowhere near the same as his enemy's, he still couldn't help but feel like he had stopped to Vinnie's level. He was just grateful James would be involved as he was level-headed and had formed an understanding with Alex before now.

Conor took a seat beside Lucy and poured them both a drink. "It only just dawned on me that Mam is away until tomorrow. Some photo shoot up in Milwaukee. So that means I'm the responsible adult around here," he attempted to lightly tease. His face turned serious and he placed a comforting arm around Lucy's shoulder. "What's wrong, Luce?" he softly asked her, tilting his head so he could look to her troubled face.

Olivia Svensson
jmkgh-png.355238
Olivia displayed a relieved smirk when Alex denied any involvement with the Sullivans. Having been loyal to the Romanos for so long, she didn't like the idea that one of their own - a Romano by blood - could betray them. She listened as Nicolo questioned his sister about the night Finn had been tortured. Olivia had long since come to terms with Vinnie's ways and those ways clearly ran in the family as Salvatore appeared to be adopting the same methods in his plan to take Maggie.

Olivia warmly smiled as Alex said she was going to see her father and that she would visit Leo again too. "Look after yourself, Alex," she told her, given that both Vinnie and Leo had been attacked just hours apart. "Your dad will be glad to see you." Vinnie had appeared relaxed and unfazed by it all, but she could tell he'd wanted at least one of his daughter's to visit him.

Once Alex had left, Olivia smiled towards Leo and Athena before directing her attention back to Nicolo. "How about we give those two some space?" she suggested. She took his hand and led him out of the room so she could quietly speak with him. "Salvatore wants us to look after the hotels whilst Leo and Vinnie recover. He said he'll deal with the casinos himself," she explained. Olivia had already taken care of a couple of jobs for Salvatore today and could tell things were going to become quite interesting with the man stepping in for Vinnie. Her loyalty ultimately rested with Vinnie, but she believed Salvatore also had the wounded man's best interests at heart and seemed willing to get his hands dirty in doing so. "Your uncle is quite the character," she lightly voiced. "But he's certainly intending on punishing the Sullivans, so I can't knock him for it."

James Porter

uft-jpg.378642
James tightened his jaw as it was confirmed the attack on Vinnie was nothing to do with the Sullivans. It didn't take a genius to work out that the Romanos would still blame them - it was the logical choice and James would assume the same in their position. If some arsehole had set them up, James wished he knew who so he could personally show them how to shoot someone and finish the job!

"Believe me, Cormac, I'm with you on this. Whether we attack them or not, the Romanos will harm Conor's loved ones. I've watched Lucy suffer. I've seen the psychological effects on Finn. Not to mention the fact he dragged Sinead into this." James didn't doubt that had Sinead never been targeted and never lost her apartment and job at the jazz club, her life would have been on a different path right now. Perhaps Lucy wouldn't have lost so much at Angel's hands.

James was quite surprised to hear it was Conor's suggestion that they took Alex. He wondered if his boss had finally come to his senses and seen the damage his relationship would cause. All they had to do was look to Sinead for proof of the complications and Conor would be lucky to keep his life if Vinnie learned the truth. "Well, if this is what Conor wants..." he mumbled. "Taking Alex will send a message alright. It just so happens I have a message for Vinnie and this plan couldn't have come at a more appropriate time." James couldn't take any anger out on Angel now, so Vinnie was the next best thing. Besides which, that man had ordered Ronan's and Emmet's murders. James no longer felt any guilt for Gianna's death and the way he was feeling right now, he would do it all again just to hear Vinnie suffer and cry the way he had almost a year ago.

Athena Archer

Athena smiled softly. She shook her head lightly as he apologized. "No, stop apologizing. Okay?" She uttered in her soft voice. The way he felt so guilty over everything worried Athena. "How..are you feeling?" She muttered. He then asked her on her well-being. "I'm fine. The babies are doing good too, kicking a ton." Athena chuckled with a soft smile. She sat down in the chair at his bedside.

Then Alex and Nicolo started to get into a bit of an argument, she glanced towards them as Nicolo questioned if Alex had any relations with one of the Sullivans. "Nic, Alex would never." Athena spoke, defending Alex. It was quite a shocker to hear Nicolo accuse her of something so serious.

Athena placed her hand in Leo's as he reached out for her.
It wasn't long before Olivia entered the room, stating she had visited Vinnie at the hospital. Then Alex denied he accusation and explained herself before leaving soon after.

Athena bit her lower lip in thought, feeling like there was never a happy moment in this family. She placed her eyes on Leo after the whole ordeal. She heard the footsteps of Olivia and Nicolo leaving the room.

Peter Callahan and Lucy Porter

with: Sinead Misty Gray Misty Gray mentions:
Peter saw the hesitation and worry, as Sinead didn't make any efforts to hide it from her features. His brows scrunched together as she began to explain things, starting from the beginning, a story he had been told by James before. Sinead had been through a lot and as an outsider, Peter wasn't sure if either side was right or wrong for the things that had been done. He frowned deeply upon hearing the news that Lucy and James had received today, and frowned even deeper as Sinead blamed herself stating that her daughters father was the reason why her sister and brother in law couldn't start a family together. As an orphan, Peter knew that this would not be the only option for the couple, as children were always looking for a happy home with loving parents, but he knew it was difficult to think of being denied the right to bear their own.

He sighed softly, his eyes looking at Savannah briefly before looking back up at Sinead and shook his head. "Again...I may not be much of a 'family expert' but if they really love you and Savannah, James and Lucy will be able to look past all of that eventually. Its going to take some time, as the wounds seem to be cut fresh and deep...but with time, it'll heal." Peter often thought about these types of things to himself, the young man being quite intuitive despite the fact he had no education. Her tears were killing him and he couldn't help himself from wrapping his arms around her. "Lucy and James will have their family, it may not be a child of their own flesh and blood...but I think if I were a kid still, I would want parents like them. They may not be open to the idea at the moment but perhaps adoption could help them find their own little bundle of joy." He looked down to see Savannah and smiled briefly. "Do you miss him?" The question slipped from his lips without any restraint or control, unable to keep it at bay.

with: Conor Misty Gray Misty Gray mentions:
It had been a bit since Lucy had seen her brother in such high spirits, and it killed her inside to know that what she was about to say was going to bring him down, but she needed to get it out. Honesty hadn't been Lucy's strong suit last year and it got her into a lot of trouble, keeping secrets would only destroy the strong family bond she had and that would be a weakness to the others who were always after them. Vinnie and Angel had played her like a fiddle, only halting when she left for New York. She realized that she never wanted to be away from her family and the truth needed to be said. Despite the harm she had received since returning, it would always be worth it to her...even with it being as painful as it was in that moment.

Lucy's lower lip trembled slightly, she herself having forgotten that their mother would be away until tomorrow. Conor was only trying to lighten the mood with his teasing comment about being the responsible adult, but Lucy was only reminded of how much she needed her mother in these moments, wanting to just curl up beside her and cry. Lucy grabbed her glass and downed the drink in one gulp, not caring about being well mannered or polite in those moments. She needed a quick fix for her pain and alcohol was going to provide her just that. She met her brother's eyes for a moment before she glued them to the counter, knowing she was gonna have to say what happened. "Well...James and I went to the doctor's today, hoping to receive some good news on our new family we have been wanting to start." Lucy sighed out a shaky breath and shook her head, the hot tears returning to her eyes. "Fuck." She hissed out and wiped at them quickly. "I wish mum was here...I wish daddy was here."

Her eyes finally snapped up to look at Conor. "My injuries from the wedding caused an infection...instead of hearing that we were gonna start a family...we were told that we will never be able to."

"I've felt way better, Athena. I'm not going to lie," Leo groggily told her. When she told him she was okay and the babies were doing well, he managed a brief smile. "I'm glad to hear it," he replied, watching as she sat by his bed. He was relieved she wanted to stay close to him and wasn't desperate to get out of the room. He wondered if her concern was out of politeness or if they still could be close.

Leo listened on as Alex protested her innocence. He was relieved to hear she'd denied everything, for her sake more than anything. The last thing he wanted was for her to endure Vinnie's wrath if she were dating a Sullivan. He knew how angry the man could get when the Sullivans were involved.

Eventually, everyone except Athena had left the room, leaving the pair alone together. Leo turned back to Athena and looked her in the eyes. "What are we?" he muttered. "I miss you, Athena. I never stopped missing you from the day Vinnie made you end us." He groaned a little as a pain shot up his leg. "I still care about you. No matter how much of my humanity I may have sacrificed, I never stopped missing you."

Sinead Sullivan

zoeydeutch-jpg.378641
Sinead quickly nodded as Peter said Lucy and James might be able to look past it all eventually. She didn't want to give in, but she was worried about how difficult it would be whilst the wounds were fresh. She wasn't sure if she could take her sister's anger and her family's disappointment for very long. She longed for the days when everyone was close and when their father was still with them. She missed playing hide and seek or wrestling with her three siblings. The trips to the fair with both of their parents. Sinead felt like all of that was lost and she was scared she'd never be able to give Savannah such a warm childhood like she'd had.

When Peter wrapped his arms around her, Sinead briefly froze, her eyes widening as she looked to him. She soon relaxed and appreciated his gesture, resting her head on his shoulder whilst continuing to hold a settled Savannah in her arms. "I really hope they can have a family of their own too. They would make such good parents and James... James had a rough life and never really had much of a family, not until just a few months ago. I'm so sad that he might have been deprived again," she admitted.

Peter than asked if she missed Angel, causing Sinead to sit up straight again so she could look to the young man's face. She closed her eyes for a brief time before sighing and reopening them. "I think I miss the idea of him. Nobody had ever made me feel so important and I'd never experienced real romance before. Like most of my family, I crave physical contact - to be held and to feel the warmth of another person. I flirted with guys, but it never went beyond that as I was scared they'd find out about my family's business and run a mile. I didn't have to worry about that with Angel because he was already aware of it all - much more aware than I was." She glanced down to Savannah and placed a kiss on the top of the baby's head. "I miss the idea of Savannah having both a mum and a dad." Sinead looked Peter in the eyes. "I miss the idea of being loved and Savannah having a father, but I don't miss Angel anymore. Anything I had with him ended whilst I was still pregnant and I put a stop to it all before he died. He killed my dad and he hurt most of my family. He was sick, but now he's at peace and I know it's for the best."

Conor Sullivan

gbhdfh-jpg.377092
Conor watched Lucy tremble and then knock back all of her drink. It broke his heart to see his sister looking so hurt - it always did. As she started to tell him she'd been to the doctor's with James, he knew it didn't take a genius to work out she was about to tell him they'd received bad news on the family front. He watched Lucy wipe her tears and he almost choked up himself as she mentioned wishing for both their mother and father to be with her. With one arm firmly around Lucy's shoulders, he used his free hand to catch another of her tears.

As soon as Lucy confirmed what he was expecting, he wrapped both arms around her and pulled her in to his soft, warm chest for one of his trademark hugs. "Shit, Luce.... I'm really sorry. I... Isn't there anything they can do?" he sadly asked her. Conor had believed it was only a matter of time before the married couple announced they were having a baby and he'd been secretly excited to become an uncle to more kids. He'd felt like nobody deserved a family more than Lucy and James did. It broke his heart to know they'd been robbed of that chance, by Angel of all people. "I'm sorry I let this happen. I hesitated too much... I had chance after chance to kill that psychopath and I didn't. I'm so sorry for you and James," he said, placing a couple of firm kisses on the top of his sister's head. "I know it won't bring back what you have lost, but I'm not going to let them think they can hurt us any longer. I can't punish Angel for you, but I'm going to make sure Vinnie suffers for this." Conor gently rubbed Lucy's back. "Whatever you need me to do, I will do it. You don't deserve this," he told her.

It did occur to him how much more difficult this situation was for the family with Savannah being Angel's daughter. "Does Sinead know?" he asked. He loosened his hold on Lucy so he could look back to her face. "How can I make this easier for you?" As much as other arrangements could be made, he felt Sinead and Savannah simply had to remain in the Sullivan house, as did everyone else. With the danger intensified following Vinnie being attacked, Conor needed everyone staying in one place where he could keep tabs on them.

Salvatore Romano Jr.

tumblr_inline_oqy6o73tcV1qhuo9l_540.jpg

Junior cocked a small smirk at his father's rumination on the Sullivan children. He had never met them. They were still only shifting shapes attached to names and a few traits he'd gathered from overhearing conversations. He'd lost himself to the backstreets, heard and seen enough to feel at home, but he wasn't truly swimming in the deep waters yet. He'd been just teasing the edge, and he felt a terrible sort of relief, knowing that the turn of events would send him plunging into the cold abyss beneath.

Brought from his thoughts by his father's plan brought to light, Junior raised a dark eyebrow. The name caught his attention completely.

"Magdalene? Il preferito di Gesù Cristo. You're walking on dangerous ground, Pop." His words were teasing. He cracked a grin, running his hands through his hair, leaning against the wall behind him. "I have not heard of this one."

It seemed every time Junior thought he was well versed on the members of their opposing family, a new one sprung up from the Earth to set him off balance again. He couldn't picture this one. He didn't know enough. The only image that arose was that of Mary Magdalene, and not being a religious man, the image was fuzzy at best - from another time.

"You don't know much, but what do you know? Where in the tree does she lay? Young? Old? Give me the run down and I will get her for you." He nodded, giving a shrug as his head tilted to the side, ready to listen.

He fluctuated between intensity and put upon blasé indifference - burning and freezing at once. He was anxious. He needed to be on his way.

Sinead's words were sincere and sweet, making it very clear to Peter that she wasn't a terrible person like she thought she was. His cheeks warmed slightly as she didn't push his comforting arms away and actually comfortably settled into him. He listened intently to her as she spoke of Angel, the man she had been in a relationship with and conceived a child with. Peter had heard many things about the man already, mostly from James, but what James couldn't tell him was how Sinead actually felt about the man. Peter felt a bit bad for asking such a question, but Sinead seemed to not take it to heart as she answered him.

He nodded his head softly in understanding as Sinead told him she came to the conclusion that Angel being dead was what was best for everyone else in her life. Little Savannah in her arms would be without both parents for the rest of her life, he had felt terrible about it, but now it seemed the child would be better off without her father. "Takes a strong person to be able to think like that, many would give in to their own desires and leave the consequences behind..." Peter praised her softly, acknowledging how hard this must have been for her. James and Lucy's problem only seemed to spark old issues and he knew it was going to take some time for everything to return back to normal.
321923_original.jpg
with: Conor Misty Gray Misty Gray mentions:
Lucy let her brother pull her in for a warm hug to which she buried her face into his chest and just cried for a moment. She shook her head silently as he asked if there was anything that could be done, the damage was done, nothing could fix it now. Conor's hugs soothed her troubles just enough for her to get a grip on the tears that still fell down her cheeks. Conor's next words made her slightly pull away to look at him, her head shaking again. He was blaming himself for this, for hesitating on killing Angel. Lucy knew how hard this transition of power has been for Conor and didn't blame him, as she was sure their father wasn't the superior boss he was at the beginning of his career.

He placed a few comforting kisses on top of her head before reassuring her that he wasn't going to let Vinnie hurt us and think he could get away with it. "Thank you." She whispered softly, wanting to see Vinnie suffer for everything he caused, not just with her and James, but with her entire family. For her Father. Lucy's eyes closed as Sinead's name was brought up, her brother asking if she knew. A sigh escaped her lips as she nodded her head, "She know's, though I'm sure she's going to be avoiding me after what I said to her. I know it's not her fault but...it's hard. Savannah is my niece and I love her dearly and Sinead is the only sister I will ever have...Don't do anything for me Conor, I didn't handle it like I should have. I made her feel terrible about her choices when clearly Savannah is the one thing making her life happy." Lucy would take the liberty of avoiding her sister like the plague knowing that she would only cause her more pain.

Sinead Sullivan

zoeydeutch-jpg.378641
Sinead sat up a little so she could look to Peter's face as he acknowledged her words. When he told her she was a strong person for thinking the way she did, she found herself fixated on his face as she processed his words. It was strange to hear someone praise her in such a way when just about everyone else thought she was a naive fool. Her gaze on Peter lingered as she couldn't help but wonder how or why such a nice person was sitting in the Sullivan house and with her of all people. "Where did you come from, Peter?" she softly asked, almost in a daze. She suddenly snapped out of it and quickly shook her head. "Sorry. Savannah needs..." she trailed off. She stood up and carried the sleeping baby, carefully setting her down in the nearby moses basket.

Sinead looked back to Peter and reluctantly sat back down next to him, feeling a little embarrassed. "I'm sorry if I made you feel awkward just then," she apologised, nervously biting her lip. "What I meant to ask was how Conor found you. What's your story? How did someone as kind and understanding as you end up in my brother's employment? You're too sweet for this," she said, intending it as a compliment. The way he could listen so openly meant a lot to her. Despite the large family under one roof, it suddenly felt like a very lonely place for Sinead, except for the young man beside her who seemed genuinely concerned.

Conor Sullivan

gbhdfh-jpg.377092
Conor sat back in his chair, but kept his arm comfortingly around Lucy's shoulder. He wasn't sure how to approach this situation or how to put himself in Lucy's shoes to imagine how she felt. He knew Shannon would have probably gone to find Sinead at this point and yelled the house down around them. Conor loved both of his sisters and hated to think they would be avoiding each other, with their friendship ripped away from them. It broke his heart to even imagine living in a house where his sisters didn't speak to each other. The tension between Carrick and Sinead had often been uncomfortable enough, but this was on a whole new level. "I'm not very good at this, so please forgive me, Luce. What do you expect to happen now? Is there a chance that you can resolve this and be able to love and accept Sinead again?" In a way, he felt like a fraud. If put in it simplest form, he was basically doing with Alex what Sinead had done with Angel. Conor let the palm of his hand run down his face before letting out a conflicted sigh. He didn't want to burden Lucy but his next words needed to be said sooner rather than later.

"The reason I ask is because Sinead and Savannah are not going anywhere. You are not going anywhere. Everyone must stay under this roof, no question about it," he firmly told her, but softly rubbed her arm to show he was still considerate of her loss. "Which means you, Sinead and Savannah can't avoid each other for long." Conor pulled Lucy closer and let her rest her head against his. "A lot has happened since I last spoke with you. Vinnie was shot last night, but sadly he survived. I think someone has set us up and the Romanos will want revenge. Cormac spoke will me earlier and made me realise our family needs to attack the Romanos before they think it's safe to attack us again." Conor then bit his lip as he thought of his conversation with Luca. "Luca also made it clear he has no confidence in me and is not loyal to me, because of my failure to act and attack our enemies. I told Luca he's never to step foot in this house again, which I know may have been a rash move..." Conor let out a groan as he thought of what he had since agreed to do. "The reason I need to know you, Sinead and everyone else is safe, is because I have agreed to attack the Romanos now. I... I agreed to let Cormac and James kidnap Alex. I know how wrong that sounds, but James knows her now and he won't let Cormac hurt her badly. It had to be Alex or Fallon," he said, taking a deep breath as he forced back his own tears for his betrayal towards Alex. "I'm sorry this is all happening now, but don't think this overshadows anything I'm feeling for your loss, Luce. Whatever you need from me, I'm here for you. I promise."

Cormac clapped his hands together in glee as he listened to James talk. While Conor had been almost resentful of the idea and clearly nervous about it, James seemed to be in a more similar mindset to Cormac. This was the type of excitement that Cormac had dreamed off and what did it matter if he hurt the Romano girl, she was scum like the rest of her family and they needed to be sent a message. Conor couldnt let his siblings move out and they all lived together for safety yet Alexandra could live out on her own, it didnt seem right. If the Sullivans couldnt roam the streets freely than neither should the Romano's.
"Right so Conor told me where she lives but we are on strict orders not to harm her roommate, the pregnant one" Cormac told him as he sat up straight "so how do you want to do this, home invasion, grab her from work or where? You'd know this town and probably this Alexandra girl better than I would so we need to plan this perfectly, we cant have them knowing we have her till we want them to know"

When Finn mentioned how his parents had died, Eleanors eye widened slightly in surprise but she quickly hid the shock from her features. A sad smile played on her lips as she reached over a placed her hand gently over his "I know it doesnt help and can actually get quite annoying but Im really sorry to hear that" she looked up at his as she spoke "It's awful to lose parents especially in such a sudden event" her tone held a certain air of sadness to it as she talked about loosing a loved one. Eleanor had experienced loss before and she knew the sting that it can hold even years later.
When Finn said he missed Ireland, Eleanor gave a small nod "I miss it at times as well, it was a lot calmer than Chicago is anyway" she said a small smile playing on her face again. "Have you ever thought of visiting it?" She asked "I think about it all the time and just never do it"

Nicolo watched as his sister walked off announcing she was going to visit their father, he really hoped she was telling the truth and that she wasnt associated with the Sullivans but it was just all to suspicious for him. He decided to let her leave without another comment and instead turned to Leo and Athena "Im sorry about that, I'm a bit on edge" He told them with a small smile before looking towards Olivia. When she grabbed his hand Nicolo smiled wider "yeah come on" he agreed before turning to Athena and Leo with a playful smirk "be careful with him Athena, he's wounded" he teased with a wink before following Olivia out of the room.
Nicolo listened when Olivia began to speak about business "the hotels will be easy to manage" he said with a nod before a smirk took over his features "my uncle certainly is interesting, he's very similar to my Father from what Ive seen" Nicolo commented. "I am curious about his revenge, I'm not sure if he'll be the same as my father or crueler but either way the Sullivan scum have it coming" he added, anger reflected in his eyes for a split second before he blinked it away, smiling as he looked at Olivia. "How are you?" He asked her in a more genuine and concerned tone, whilst Olivia had healed and recovered very well, Nicolo did still worry for her.

After Alex left the room, she went into the lounge when her uncle and cousins were still talking. Rocco bounced over jumping at her legs and Alex smiled as she knelt down to pet the dog, her fears and frustration melted away as she looked at the dog but she knew the moment she left it would all come rushing back. "I'm going to visit my father now so im going to leave Rocco here and I'll pick him up later" she told her uncle with a smile "he's already been fed and walked so you dont need to do anything just maybe let him out at some stage to do his buisness". Alex petted Rocco one last time before standing up and grabbing her bag. "Addio" she called before leaving the house.
Alex lit a cigarette for her walk, her whole body was shaking from frustration. That had been too close and she knew that she had to visit her father now incase Nicolo also told her Father of his idea's. Alex knew she also needed to talk to Conor after the hospital to let him know of Salvatore's intentions of revenge, but ontop of that she also really wanted to see him after that argument with Nicolo. Her father and friend had been attacked and injured, while Alex was not close with her father she was still upset by it and wanted some sort of comfort or at least a distraction.

Alex arrived shortly at the hospital and went straight to reception who pointed her in the direction of her fathers room. She walked over slowly, anxious of what state her father would be in, especially after how bad Leo had been beaten.
"Father" she greeted gently as she walked into the room. As she took in the sight of him, lying on a hospital bed, she bit her lip glad that he seemed to be ok. She gave him a small smile before moving quickly to the side of the bed to give him a hug.

Salvatore Romano

Salvatore looked to his son and let out an exaggerated chuckle as he compared Maggie's name to Mary Magdalene. "Ah, Junior. The time for Jesus and me to be buddies has long since past. Your uncle thinks he still has hope, but he's not on the Jesus's Christmas card list either," he remarked. "I remember being dragged to church as a child. Oh, the fun daydreams I had whilst the priest was jabbering on. You know, Vincenzo always managed to pay attention and look genuinely interested. Who was he kidding, really?" he joked.

Realising he'd once again gone off on a tangent, Salvatore's demeanour changed from playful to sinister in a split second. When his son asked for more information on Maggie, the older man obliged and picked up his briefcase. He set the case on the coffee table and flipped open the locks. Once he'd opened the lid, he retrieved a brown envelope and tipped out a pile of photographs. He sifted through the pile, tossing individual photographs back into the case like they were dirt. "Nope. Nope. Nope," he said as he waded through them. Lucy, Sinead, Shannon. He stopped when he got to the picture of Maggie.

"Here you go," he said, handing Junior the photograph of the Sullivan girl in question. "That's the face you're looking for. 20-year-old Magdalene Sullivan; poor orphan girl lost both parents in an accident," he said, though it was only his suspicion that there was something more sinister behind their deaths. "She's close to her older brother, Finnian Sullivan. I asked around from the night Vinnie had her brother abducted and apparently she cried like a baby, blaming herself for being unable to stop him from being taken. I imagine she's as close to her brother as you and Juniper are to each other." Salvatore folded his arms and smiled. "The rest, I'm sure we will have plenty of time to ask her about in person. Do you think you can get her for me?" he asked.

Olivia smiled brightly when Nicolo said the hotel is easy to manage. "I'm kind of looking forward to it. I think I'll enjoy getting dressed up and actually being the perfect hostess, rather than doing it undercover," she told him. In all honesty, it would be a nice rest for her to just act natural rather than trying to acquire information or dirt for Vinnie. She turned a little more serious at the question of which of the Romano men was the most cruel. "That's a tricky one. Your father is a very serious man, whilst your uncle seems to lace his threats with humour and a humoured smile. Beneath the grinning mask, the Jester can be just as dangerous as the King, potentially more so." She sighed as she thought back to Leo's current state. "I can't find it in myself to feel sorry for the Sullivans if he is cruel. Not after what they've done to Vinnie and Leo. Not after what they did to Gianna and eventually to Angel."

It was when Nicolo asked her how she was doing that she remembered she'd missed her own name off of the list of Sullivan victims. As far as she was concerned, it was them who had her stabbed on Valentine's Day and they'd presented no proof of otherwise. "Oh, I'm fine, dear," she assured him. She placed her hands on his shoulders and looked him in the eyes. "It will take a lot to knock me down, min kärlek," she said, slipping into her Swedish tongue.

Vinnie was about to ask Jewels about asking Nicolo to take some of his things to her place when he heard the familiar voice of his daughter. He turned to Alex, keeping a straight face. "I think I recognise you," he remarked. He then sat up a little to accept her hug, manoeuvring himself so he didn't aggravate his wounds. "Of course, it's Alexandra," he said, letting a smile cross his face. He pointed to an empty chair by his bed for her to sit down on. "Is everything okay? Is Leo okay?" he asked, having received word about the attack on him. "You need to be careful. Why don't you and Athena move into my house for a little while?" he suggested. With both himself and Leo being attacked, it made him more concerned for the rest of his family.

James nodded his head when Cormac relayed Conor's message about not harming Athena. Even without the news he'd just received, he could never harm a pregnant lady. "I can get behind such orders. Even if it means turning away and making a new plan, we don't go near the pregnant roommate. We don't hurt kids. Nor do we harm the dog," he was quick to add. It might seem like a joke, but James' face was deadly serious. He knew Alex had a dog and he loved dogs! "Romano adults... fair game," he clarified.

"I suggest an home invasion or, if we're lucky, grab her before she gets inside her place. We should avoid her place of work or anywhere else public. I can get us access to an empty apartment - no questions asked," he added. "She'll put up a fight and she has a mouth on her, so be warned. I've had a few encounters with her," he added, with a smirk.

Peter couldn't help but laugh at the question Sinead asked, wanting to know exactly where he came from. First answer he thought of, he kept to himself as it was just a little joke. Neverland Hell, he was so off the map before all of this, he might as well be. No one really knew him, or had wanted to know about him. He would grow and age and no one would be able to tell the difference. Raising an eyebrow he nodded softly and let his arms drop so that she could place Savannah in her basket.

He stayed silent and watched as she turned back to him, looking mortified as she strode over and sat beside him once more. A smile broke on his face as she bit her lip nervously and sincerely hoped she hadn't embarrassed him. Sinead went on to explain what she meant. What was his story? Anxiety peaked in that moment and he vaguely wondered if he should be honest with her. Sinead had fallen for a criminal before and she certainly didn't need to be involved with another, even though he didn't serve jail time, he was still found guilty of his crimes. "Oh I'm sure you won't find my story very interesting Sin." A blush rose on his cheeks as he let the comment about him being too sweet kick in. It would only be a matter of time before he fucked this whole thing up, and she would soon think otherwise. He fidgeted nervously, shifting his weight as he sat. She wouldn't trust him if she knew.

"Like I said, I came from nowhere and basically was a nobody." He explained softly, his eyes shifting from her face to the floor as his self confidence faltered. "I lived in the orphanage up until the age of 18 and was forced out after my birthday. I had a bunch of side jobs and found rooms to sleep in from time to time...your brother happened to stumble upon me after one of my jobs had gone wrong and offered me a way out." He stayed vague as he explained where he came from, unsure of telling this sweet woman the whole truth about his jobs

with: Conor Misty Gray Misty Gray mentions:
Lucy sighed softly when her brother asked what she thought would happen now. Could she put all of this aside for the sake of their family and love Sinead again. Lucy never stopped loving her sister, it would be impossible for her to ever hate her. She hate the decisions she made, but she could never hate her sister or Savannah. Accept it? She had accepted Sinead's pregnancy long before she received this news and it would be unfair of her to not continue to do so. What kind of a sister would she be? If she snatched away her acceptance of her own niece? Lucy's eyes watered again, and she knew how terrible this would be for all of them if she let it continue. Sinead needed her, and Lucy needed her sister.

She stayed silent as Conor explained that no one would be leaving the house despite the conflict at hand. He made it clear that he still cared deeply about her loss but had to put his foot down, for the sake of the family. Lucy nodded her head along, understanding what he had to do. It was for their family after all. Lucy was one to act on her emotions and yelling at Sinead was done in that manner. Resting against her brother's embrace, she listened as he revealed that Vinnie had been shot, but whoever the moron had been...had only gave him a non life threatening injury. Lucy's fist clenched and wondered how the hell the Italian became so lucky. All blame was placed on the Sullivan's naturally and now her brother was gearing up for an attack. Luca's betrayal was surprising but after he basically fell of the radar a few months ago after Kate's death, she knew they would have to make due without him at some point. It seemed like the whole world was starting to fall apart. The blonde's eyebrows raised as Conor mentioned a plan to kidnap Alex with Cormac and James involved.

Lucy frowned slightly, now feeling worried about her brother's plan. He reassured her that her loss was just as important as all of this but she shook her head, not worried about that. She was worried about what her husband might do now. He was always one to keep his cool but he wanted Vinnie to suffer now more than ever it seemed. Would he really care about Alexandra enough now? When she was a direct line to Vinnie's pain? "Conor, I know what you are doing is best. But I am worried about you trusting James with Alexandra's safety." Lucy wondered if this was the correct way to handle her worries. Surely Conor would now want to speak with James and she wondered if she would face any repercussions. "I mean today...after the news, he spoke of wanting to end Vinnie, to make him feel the pain we felt right now. I do trust him with everything and I know you do as well...but I am worried he might let his emotions get the best of him." It was unusual for James to encounter such a problem but most people had a certain breaking point.

Sinead raised a curious eyebrow when Peter told her she wouldn't find his story interesting. "Oh, come on. I'm sure it's interesting enough," she encouraged him. More than anything, she was relieved she hadn't made him feel awkward with her questions. She then listened as he began telling her about being a nobody who lived in an orphanage. She didn't like that he thought that of himself and seemed to lack confidence in his past. "What kind of jobs did you do?" she curiously asked. She'd long since come to terms with the fact most of her family and their friends were criminals. She accepted it because she knew they were still good people. "I'm glad Conor found you and gave you a chance. I don't know if it's what you intended on doing with your life, but I really hope you can be happy working for my family because I'm sure James and Conor already like you," she reassured him.

"As for calling yourself a nobody, Mister!" she began, switching to her playful bossy tone. "You have always been somebody, even if you don't think so. You are already somebody to my family and to me. Whatever you've done in your life is all part of your story and it brought you where you are now. The way you stopped me from leaving and sat down here to listen to me tells me that you are an important person. I'm sure you'll do James and Conor proud," she sweetly lectured him.

As there was a pause in the conversation, Sinead found herself looking into Peter's kind eyes. He was attractive, she'd gathered that weeks ago. However, she often noticed attractive men but didn't stare at them with her wide puppy eyes in the way she was looking at him right now. She looked away and directed her eyes down to her lap whilst mentally berating herself. She couldn't help but nervously giggle as she pushed her hair behind her ears. At first she questioned if her hormones were still flaring up within her, but she knew these weren't symptoms of that. She'd felt this way before, when she first fell for Angel. She wondered if it was wrong to acknowledge the way Peter was making her feel. As she pondered her feelings, she absent-mindedly ran her fingertips along her lips. She wondered if this was what it was like for normal people around her age, to go through the innocent simplicity of having a crush on someone. The relationship with Angel had been complicated, heavy and intense. The young man sitting next to her now was of the same age, sweet, considerate, trusted by her family and seemingly uncomplicated.

Sinead finally lifted her head to look to Peter. As she observed his kind features, a fond smile grew on her face. She asked herself if this was all too fast. She then wondered if it really was so bad to want to kiss him. To just do what most people her age did and live in the moment and let things play out naturally, without mulling over what could happen next. As these thoughts were being processed in her mind, she'd already unconsciously shifted a little closer and regained eye-contact with him. Soon enough, Sinead found herself glancing to Peter's lips before leaning her face closer to his. Then, her brain suddenly caught up to her body and heart. She suddenly pulled herself back a little and her cheeks turned a deep, warm shade of red. "Oh, Peter. I'm sorry," she apologised, covering her mouth with her hand. "That was very forward and rude of me. I..." she said, falling silent as she shifted her eyes to the floor.

Conor sat up straight and arched his neck so his could look to Lucy's face. "What do you mean you're worried? I trust James more than any other man I have working for me. He's never let me down and he's often the one making me see sense. He accepted Alex the night we rescued Finn." Then she went on to explain that after the news they'd received, she was worried his emotions would take over. Conor was stuck, lost for alternative options. "Don't we all want to end Vinnie?" he asked, though even he knew there was naivety in the suggestion. "I believe in James. This has to happen and he's the safest choice to do this. Cormac and any other man I could assign to assist him wouldn't show restraint towards Alex. James knows about us, he knows her... I know he'll come good. In reality, Conor knew how relentless and indiscriminate James was when it came to the Romanos, but he also believed Alex was an exception to that. It had to be Alex rather than Fallon and it had to be James rather than one of his men who didn't know the truth. "I don't have any other choice," he admitted to Lucy, in the process showing she had cast some doubt in his mind.

He was delighted that Olivia was no longer their secret weapon, while he would have preferred the action which outed her to have been of a different nature, he was happy with the outcome and that he could actually be seen with her now in public, and it didnt take a genuis to figure out that she preferred it aswell.
When Olivia hinted that his uncle might be worse, he gave a nod as he bit his lip. "I havnt seen him in action so I don't know how far he will go" he mused. "But I agree after everything that happened to you, my mother, Leo, my father I dont pity them one bit, they deserve whatever happens to them" he told her in a serious tone, a hint of sadness crept through his voice as he mentioned his mother but it quickly passed, he did not want to dwell on the past. When he mentioned moving in to the old house, Alex bit her lip before slowly nodding "ive made sure to keep my house as unknown as possible but with Athena heavily pregnant it might be for the best" she relunctly agreed. Cormac nodded when James said that they dont hurt children or animals. "I one hundred percent agree, children and animals are left out of this shit" Cormac nodded. Learning she had a dog made him feel a little less easy about a home invasion, a pregnant woman and a dog were just too dangerous of a possibility. While he had done various horrible things in his life, he would never forgive himself if he was the cause behind the loss of them babies or if he killed a dog.
"Home invasion is too risky I say try and catch her outside of her home so we dont have to put the woman and dog in danger" Cormac mused, showing that he did have some humanity. Cormac had always seemed so cold and diconnected that it was probably weird to see his weakness but that gentleness was only shared for children and animals, had Alexandra's roomate not been pregnant this would be a whole different story.
"Ah perfect, that would be good" he said in relation to the apartment. So now they had two things sorted for this abduction, the taking and storing, the rest did not have to be figured out now as that was going to be the fun part.
When James mentioned Alexandra having a mouth on her and also having fight in her, Cormac's smirk widened to a point that he looked like an overly excited child coming up to christmas. "Well I can not wait to break this fighting spirit" he told James "breaking that spirit will hurt Vinnie more than sending him a body part" Cormac spoke casually as though his inital plan was to send a body piece of Alexandra's to her father, there was no sense of joking or humour in his tone. Cormac was now set on destroying her spirit and the tone in his voice made clear the excitment he was feeling about this.

"Salvatore had me run a small errand for him earlier. I don't know how far he will go, but believe me when I say he's a cunning one," she said. Hearing Nicolo recall those close to him who had been hurt by the Sullivans, Olivia leaned close to his ear and whispered something to him that was to be kept secret from the others. She stepped back and displayed a more serious expression. "They will pay. I'm sure of it."

Olivia sighed when he mentioned Alex's soft heart and how her coldness following Gianna's death hadn't lasted. "I know what you mean, but I'm not sure if she'll ever accept her father's business. Did you really believe she could be dating one of the Sullivans?" she curiously asked.

Vinnie couldn't help but smile as Alex teased him, finding them not arguing to be a refreshing change. His smile turned to a frown when she mentioned Leo's condition and he wondered if Luca had found out the truth about him being the one to kill Kate. Regardless, aside from blood relatives, Leo was one of the worst people the Sullivans could have chosen to harm. "Conor didn't know?" he mused aloud, contemplating if Alex could be right about the Sullivans falling apart. "Well, I did wonder if it was beyond Conor to organise two attacks in one night. He couldn't even get killing me right," he said, with a light chuckle. "Now would certainly be the best time to strike them."

Vinnie was glad to hear Alex would take his advice and move back home with Athena. "It will be for the best and I'm glad you're on board with the idea. I can't have my girls getting hurt." When Alex asked how he was, he shrugged his shoulders. "Obviously, I've been better, but I think I'm fine," he said, practically ignoring the gunshot wounds in his abdomen. "I've talked the nurse into letting me get out of here as soon as possible. I don't trust the security in this place." He then glanced to Jewels and smiled. "I'll be staying at Jewels' place as the conditions of my discharge are that she takes care of me in the absence of the hospital staff."

An intrigued look took over his expression before an amused smirk broke onto his lips, he shook his head in amusement with a slight laugh escaping from his lips. "That is definitely interesting, I think your right about the Jester being more dangerous" he laughed.
When Olivia asked about Alex, Nicolo sighed before rubbing the left side of his face with his hand "No, she'll never agree with the family business, she's like Gio but at least he tried to get along with it, Alex just criticizes it" he said with a frown. Nicolo then shrugged "I honestly dont know what I think anymore when it comes to her, she's so secretive and she lies with ease and then goes off on her own and does her own thing all the time that she could be up to anything, but then she's my sister and I know she is a loyal person and she's not stupid enough to cross father or put herself in the firing line so I really don't know, I hope she isn't anyway". Nicolo was clearly conflicted about this whole situation, he wanted to believe his sister, they had always been close but he just didnt know if he could trust her anymore. "What do you think?"

Alex bit her lip as her father talked about the failure of the attack on him. "Yeah thankfully the job was done by an idiot" she said with a slight smile. "But two attacks seems a little too brave to be them, so I say he didnt know about Leo" she added. When he said now was the perfect time to act, Alex merely nodded in response, looking up to her father "Salvatore is already working on an attack plan" she informed him, although she knew he would be kept in the loop by his brother , she just hoped that Salvatore would tell her also.
Alex smiled when her father said he couldnt have them getting hurt "its not a permanent fixture, I like having my own place and its so close to work but I will stay home until this altercation is dealt with and theyre put back into their place" . Alex felt so bad talking about Conor and the Sullivans like this but she knew that she had to speak about them like this to her father.
Alex laughed when her father told her he was getting out early "off course you did" she smirked before looking at Jewels "Thank you for taking care of him" she told her with a pleasant smile before looking back at her father. The fact that Jewels didnt run for the hills and instead offered to let her father move in with her, earned her a lot of respect in Alex's opinion, she just hoped that the woman knew what she was doing. James was glad to hear Cormac was on the same wavelength regarding not harming children or animals. It was enough getting his head around Conor agreeing for Alex to be taken. James would do it, just like it had been his suggestion to take Alex when Finn had been kidnapped. It was the fact Conor had suggested it this time that had briefly caught him off-guard.

"You're probably right. We catch her outside," he agreed. "I'll be the driver. I have a car back at the garage that won't be recognised and can't be tied back to us. It's just undergone a new paint job," he informed him.

James couldn't help but raise his eyebrows in curiosity as Cormac spoke of breaking Alex's spirit and clearly being excited by it. Whilst he loved the Sullivans just the way they were, it i was refreshing to have someone around who was willing to play the Romanos at their own game and cut out the emotional impact. It had got to the point now that this was the only way the Sullivans would make a mark on their rivals and inflict damage. This was the only way they could knock Vinnie and his men down. Regardless, James didn't appear excited or amused by the idea, he simply appeared motivated and focused on their task. "If it means Vinnie is tortured and broken, then it will be worth breaking Alex to do so. I want him to feel the pain Lucy, Conor and the rest of this family has felt. The only thing that would satisfy me more than destroying his world is to watch him die." James briefly gripped the edge of the wooden desk. "Shall we get started?" he suggested. In the back of his mind, all he could thing of was his and Lucy's loss. Potential life taken away from them. It seemingly hadn't been enough for the Romanos to kill Ronan and Emmet.

He gave James a charming boyish smile "don't worry I wont tell her, I've seen her angry and I don't blame you for having a hiding place, she's beat me up before" he added with a wink before laughing at his own joke.
When James admitted to be up for breaking Alex, Cormac smiled "good cause it's going to be a two person job if she's as feisty as you say" Cormac told him, a slight more seriousness to his tone. Cormac reached into his waistband and pulled out his gun, he looked it over in his hands before reaching down into his bag to reload it. Cormac caught James looking at him and shrugged "Conor never said nothing about shooting her?" he added so to gauge James reaction, he needed to see exactly where James stood in this situation. Cormac placed it back into his waistband before looking back at James, a slight smirk on his features "It's in case we run into trouble" he told him honestly. Cormac had no initial intentions on shooting or maiming the girl as he said to Conor couple of bruises and a broken spirit was enough for him at the minute. But if this girl was going to be hard to break then Cormac knew pain was also a good aid to breaking a character and he would do whatever necessary to hurt Vinnie, Cormac just hoped James felt the same way.
Cormac swung his arm over James in a slight man hug but in a more relaxed motion "Let's get this show on the road" he said as he patted James before letting go and making his way towards the front door. "Conor we're going now!" Cormac shouted through the house, hoping to get the young mans attention wherever he was.

Junior listened to his father's rumination, speaking of church and his childhood with Vinnie. Though to the outward onlooker he was in need of guidance, Junior was already pinned on a faith - the rush of the chase, the hard pavement, the blood, the relief of victory, the crush of failure. Amongst it all, interwoven, were his father and his sister - two faces for the same God. Junior only provided humble offerings. His mother was there, though the shroud she wore changed in light almost every time he thought of her. He wondered where she was at that moment. He wondered if she ever thought of him. It was the spring he had flowed from, now lost.

Junior ran his hands through his hair, wincing as his fingers raked over the forgotten pain. He stepped closer, watching his father open his briefcase, sifting through photos that held the likeness of the Sullivan family, no doubt. From his knowledge, he could pin names to faces. His mind was further illuminated. It all seemed more real, especially with the shift in the air. There was no diverting anything. Junior had eagerly barreled forward, and even then, when his father handed him the photograph of the girl he was meant to steal away, he still felt the enticing rush of it, like a drug. His eyes traced over her fine features, memorizing it in a way. He would have to be able to identify her in a crowd. It was easier that way, without second-guessing.

"Maria Maddalena davvero."

He mumbled, hearing the throes of a tune. His darkened eyes flitted up to his father as he provided him with everything he knew of the girl. He wondered if his father had intentionally struck a chord with him by comparing this girl and her brother to him and Juniper. Was it a test? Had he meant this the whole time? If it was, he wasn't about to back down. In truth, he felt he was incapable of it.

Still, Junior felt a residual pang of something with the tale his father related. It was a muffled feeling, confusing, unfamiliar, but it died down soon enough.

He smirked, on edge, slipping the photo away.

"You will have her tonight, Papà."

Peter found this woman's curiosity absolutely adorable. She had so many questions, all of which he wished to answer but he knew it would still be best to stay as vague as possible. His eyes brightened as she quickly continued past the question, revealing she was glad that her brother had decided to give him a second chance. He couldn't even describe how thankful he was for Conor. His life was going no where and it was sweet that Sinead thought he had other things going for him. A small blush and a shy smile formed on his face as Sinead lectured him. She was so sweet and he wondered what the hell he did to deserve this job.

Peter felt then that it was important not to disappoint her. Sinead had a beautiful daughter and a loving family but even she seemed to feel like something more was missing from her life. As hard as it was to imagine what she could be feeling exactly, he could say he has had a similar feeling. He feels a lot of things are missing from his life. Perhaps Sinead and the little baby fast asleep now could change that. Peter wasn't going to jump to conclusions and hope that this woman would fall for him...but even just a friend, someone who cared if he lived or died, would notice if he did just suddenly pass on. That was all he could ask for, was to be remembered.

"I sure hope I can make them proud." He revealed. I hope I can make you proud too. He thought to himself. There was a look in her eyes that was hard to read, his head tilted slightly to the left in wonder as to what could be going through her pretty head. Her eyes moved away and looked elsewhere, causing the young man to frown slightly. He leaned closer to her now, trying to see if he could get those large eyes to look to him once more. When he wasn't succeeding, he leaned away shifting so that he was now looking towards the door of the room. His eyes stared that way looking calm and collected in those moments, but his mind was racing and his eyes twitched to glance her way. He felt eyes on him again and turned to meet the large orbs he had been dying to see. He was caught in a trance really. His heart was screaming at him to take a risk, a very stupid risk that could get him fired...or worse. His brain was screaming at him to stop gawking at her like an open mouthed fool. Inhaling through his mouth, he quickly clamped his lips back together soon after and practically melted under her smile. She began to get closer...or was it he who was leaning in now? His heart thumped in his chest as whoever it was moved closer. A familiar longing hazed her eyes but a brief moment of realization snapped her out of it before he could even react.

Shocked now, he watched her move away, a hand over her mouth quickly apologizing. He wanted to tell her that there was no need for an apology. The sheer joy he felt in that moment just thinking about her kiss was a gift in itself and yet...he couldn't help but wonder. Clearing his throat, he quickly reached behind and scratched the back of his neck nervously, giving Sinead a boyish smile. "No worries love. Though you should really save your second first kiss for someone other than myself...I'm only trouble."

Lucy wanted to flinch as Conor voiced his doubts of her concern for her husband. James was often a man who's actions were not blinded by pure emotion, much like Angel had been. He was far more reserved than that. However her brother clearly saw her point after she explained further and although James was not one to act in such ways, it was better to voice a concern than to keep it bottled up. She trusted her husband with everything she had and more. Lucy looked to the counter as Conor then questioned that the majority wanted Vinnie to end. They all did, but if James were to act rashly without the proper back up, they could lose him. Vinnie was a dangerous man with dangerous connections, as much as Lucy hated to admit. Hopefully this plan will make the crazed man back off of their family for now...but what if it only made things worse.

James would keep Alexandra safe, to some degree at least she hoped. The girl was simply going to have to go through what her family has gone through at least a million times now. Lucy had to stay positive for her brother's sake but now she was worried if retaliating was really going to work. They were in this continuous loop of fighting that was hard to break. The Romano's would know who had done this, specifically who. Cormac and James will be targeted, was this worth it? Lucy wanted to get below the radar now, after the news she received today. No place existed like that, and she couldn't just leave her family now. Anxiety peaked in her mind as she wondered if one day she would suffer the same fate as her mother, losing her significant other to this violence. She had came close on her wedding day, was she ready for that trauma again? Frustration built up inside of her but before she could voice it, Cormac's voice rang out. Her heart dropped as she turned to her brother, a slow sigh escaped her lips. "I know this is what we have to do Conor..." With that, she nodded her head towards the front door, ready to meet the two men there with her brother behind her.

"Now Cormac, I don't have to give you the lecture on bringing my husband back safe and sound do I? It is certainly in your best interest if you do let me tell you." A small smirk played on her lips, her eyes dried of tears for the moment, the alcohol having numbed her nerves. She reached an arm out and playfully punched her cousin's arm before looking to James, walking forward, she wrapped her arms around him and her lips found his ear. "Its Vinnie we want." A reminder of who was to blame for not only the Sullivan's troubles but the Porters long before their news today and hopefully a reminder to take it easy on Alexandra. Pressing a kiss to his cheek, she took a step back.

Finn offered a small smile in return to her apology for his loss. He had heard it many time before and he always answered with the same response. "Thank you, it was a long time ago now..but I miss them everyday." It was the thought that counted for Finnian, even though most knew apologies never helped the situation, it at least showed that Eleanor cared. Eleanor used a tone that made him wonder if she too had lost someone close to her. He wanted to ask, but for fear of being impolite, he kept his mouth shut.

Finn had thought about visiting Ireland all the time, feeling home sick. Times had been a lot easier there compared to what it was now. Finn felt he couldn't be completely relaxed in the streets of Chicago, having to watch his back and his families back wherever he went. "I've been contemplating moving back for a while now, but I love my family so much...I don't think I could part with them now." Even after everything he had went through, he still couldn't leave this dammed place, not after everything he had been through with his family. "Perhaps we should just up and go one of these times eh?" He asked, wondering if this beautiful woman would even consider participating in an adventure like that with him. Worth a shot.

Jewels had been by Vinnie's side permanently since he was admitted to the hospital. He was definitely in much higher spirits now that he would be leaving the hospital soon and Jewels insisted that he come stay with her for the time being. When he agreed to her and the nurses terms she was more than pleased, wanting to be able to keep a watchful eye on him. It was dangerous, as she had been informed by him countless times already, but she was sure she could handle whatever was thrown her way. Jewels stayed back a bit still seated by his bedside as Alexandra and Vinnie talked.

Her eyes turned from his monitor to Alex as she expressed her gratitude for taking care of her father. "Its not a problem love." Jewels answered genuinely, looking to Vinnie with a teasing smile on his face. "I extend my place to anyone closest to you who needs a safe place to stay." She reminded both Vinnie and Alex, wanting them both to know that she was serious about this factor. Her place wasn't a five star hotel like Vinnie owned but it definitely had enough space and warmth for more than just herself.
