Fantasy The noble doghouse, (3N6D OOC)

To explain Guardian spirits in this world... its similar to Saiki K.
Essentially every human has a Guardian spirit, or GS. its a ghost that can influence their life somewhat. This is mostly seen as good or bad luck but it can vary depending on the spirit.

Mostly, this means nothing and will not come up in game at all unless a noble with spiritual magic is about doing said magic.

They can see and interact with all spirits. Including sealing, banishment, acting as a medium or helping the spirit in other ways.
Say noble A has spirit magic. Noble A could seal someone's GS to remove their protection Essentially making someone incredibly unlucky/cursed.
Noble A could also empower a spirit making someone lucky.
 
narumiya narumiya , some quick questions about Nico. I think this is the right thread to do it?

1. Is he a full on spoiled rich brat type, or does he also have a scarier, powerful side undeneath the surface?

2. Since his name feels Western, is there a reason why he is attending a Japanese university instead of one in his home country?

3. Does he use his luck ability/authority a lot, or does he like to go with the flow?

I just wanna see how my characters sync with him, ty!

hi, i think this is probably the right thread to do it. i just woke up, so my brain is a tad slow. if you have any further questions off of what i said, please let me know.

1) both? sorta? for the most part, i'd like him to simply just be the spoiled rich bratty kind of person. all bark and very little bite until someone actually pisses him off. if he continually doesn't get his way and people test him, he isn't afraid to be scary. but i don't think he wants to be someone who has to instill fear in others. he just feels he should automatically get what he wants without having to try or put effort, so that scary side is very much so a last resort.

2) i kinda had the idea that his family in the past generations started immigrating to other countries? i may end up changing this since i've still just been trying to think about his backstory and have everything tie together (which may, in the end, include a name change but who knows). anyways, his family ended up wanting to return to where their ancestors had started off once they found out they were having a baby, but gave him a name from their home country since they still felt emotionally attached. if that's not allowed or doesn't fit in, i'll gladly change it, though! just kinda wanted to do something different with this character

3) lol, i think i may have yapped a bit much and ended up answering that question in the first one a little? but to reiterate, he just wants to be spoiled and listened to without having to use his abilities. but if he doesn't get his way, he isn't above being petty and ruining someone's luck.

+ Just a suggestion, but what if you go with finance/banking/stock market for his noble family's sphere of influence? The family makes investments, then manipulates luck so it always succeeds, and they owns stocks in most major companies.

i like that idea, thank you! i was wanting to make his father be some sort of businessman that managed to obtain wealth based on the family ability, but i was just contemplating on the specifics. i've been doing chores and i gotta run errands, so i can't even finish his form yet but i will hopefully be getting it done today lol

I read the finished version!

To clarify, my suggestion was about how Nico's grandpa may have built the family inheritence and power? Maybe Nico's grandpa used his luck powers to invest in companies that turned huge, so now he and the family holds controlling shares in multinational banks, top-tier tech empires, media conglomerates, food and energy monopolies, and even major government bonds. Enough to sway global markets, political decisions, and to have CEOs beg for favor.

The version right now is good too, but I thought my suggestion may have been unclear. Feel free to ignore me if I misunderstood!

Did the application get accepted by the GM yet?
(No rush, I'm going to sleep and check tomorrow.)

ohh, i think i now understand what you were saying LMAO. i might've sorta implied it with the inheritances thing, but i never actually spelled it out within his backstory. i was also following my mom around in a busy mall while working on his character sheet, so my brain might've just been trying to handle too many things at once and i just misunderstood you. whenever i get the chance tonight, i'll work on adjusting that

also, i don't know if the DM has looked at my sheet yet, but it hasn't been accepted/declined yet.
 
It's on the nose but I'm happy with it, her family is essentially succubus in nature and magic

Hazelnxt Hazelnxt rp starts when there is 3 nobles and 6 (or more) dog sheets are accepted.

That said ive not been reading or hyping up anything cause I recently been incapacitated and have limited movement
 
Hate to sound "extra" about this but after my crash/concussion a week or two ago I've forgotten a majority of what I had planned for this rp.

All I remember was I ripped off Baki with a underground tournament where combat servants/dogs fight in a hidden arena for rich folks entertainment and other vague reasons.

If someone wants to take this idea and run with it im not offended
 
Not to diminish the problem, but I am somewhat fine atm

I just can't remember much of the crash and the majority of this fiction I was writing along with the Aura rp I was also doing
