Mechanics
[WIP]

Basically going to have a map for the territories and am still working on the exact spending mechanics.

Otherwise. Battles will be done in a combination of tactics and RNG. Once players have applied I will fill in the land bordering them with NPC nations and there will be small alliance chains among some smaller NPC nations, ensuring that there will only be so many 'easy wars'. Politics and Diplomacy will be up to you but if you want to change your leader or Ideology you will either have to spend time setting the stage or fight a civil war. (Or, if you are a democracy, just wait for your next Vote to change the leader, but still no easy ideology switch for you lots either)

I am sure I have missed something so ask. I am a little busy, otherwise I would have the last of the mechanics ready for you. Will be done ASAP.

The Kingdom of Havaria

image.jpeg

Government: Absolute Monarchy.

Leader: Lafe Sterling.

Alliance:

Territory:

History: Separated from it's neighbors by the formidable Byohr mountain range, the Kingdom of Havaria has practiced through much of it's history neutrality in the affairs of the greater world, preferring to instead focus their efforts on bringing the order of man to the untamed highlands of their birth, binding the flesh of their homeland with extensive steel rail networks and a web of concrete and asphalt roads. This ruthless expansion eventually resulted in the discovery and unleashing of the Ivory Scourge, a mysterious illness that emerged from a destroyed runestone and has engulfed the Kingdom of Havaria ever since, reaching a climax in the death of the former and beloved Queen Nicola and installation of Lafe Sterling as Lord Regent until Queen Nicola's daughter, Princess Theodora, becomes of age.

Name: Lafe Sterling.

Title: Lord Regent of the Kingdom of Havaria.

Appearance: Towering over many of his subjects at a comfortable 7'4", his black hair, strong chin, and piercing set of blue-green eyes would be said to be the work of angels if it weren't for his excesses in life.

Age: 30.

Biography: Lafe emerged from humble circumstances, being born in the simple farming village of Birerun to a family of merchants. Enlisting in the Queen's Secret Service at the tender age of fifteen, he climbed his way through the ranks in the years that followed with a dedication to intel-gathering unrivaled by his peers. Achieving the rank of Director at twenty-seven, he at the head of his agency served Queen Dea with distinction for three years until her untimely demise.

Aims: Maintenance of his rule. Modernization of the Kingdom of Havaria's cities and military. Growth of Havaria's economy.

Personality: Lafe is often brutally honest with his confidants, unable to lie to, mislead, or hold information from his ever-shrinking circle of friends and allies. Quick to anger, many have perished under his short reign over the Kingdom of Havaria over a few misspoken words in his presence.

Strengths: Strong-willed. Physically fit. Realist. Vast, encyclopedic knowledge of Havaria's underworld.

Weaknesses: Hated by the masses. Womanizer. Unsympathetic with the plights of the common man. Socially inept. Seizure prone.

Name: Konstantine
Flag: https://www.google.com/imgres?imgur...LTAhVGy2MKHV-pAZwQMwiAASgsMCw&iact=mrc&uact=8
Government: "True" democracy (grand minister and party council are elected, and make desicions without civilian intervention, untill the next elections, which is in 8 years prior to being elected, for both the grand minister and the party council)
Leader: William Richard
Alliance: WIP
Territory: (wait for the map please)
History:
During the olden days, when tribes and empires fought with steel swords and rains of arrows, the Konstantinia lands were divided between small, forever warring countries of kings and royalty, all claiming their inherit rights to the homeland, untill some of the more major kingdoms were united by a military coup in the 1700's, becoming a democracy by the mid 1800's. Modern Konstantine (or as modern as the 30's were) is a country of sprawling concrete jungles and factories, farms and rural areas pocketing near government protected lands, the land itself is a mostly flat landed, higher country, with rivers near the lower ends, and a mountain range near one of the borders. The way of living is almost evenly divided, physical labour earning the medium to low end of cash, while educated citizens who go into things like engineering, mathematics, the sciences, and other mental task earn up to 6 times more. The economy is a mixture of capitalism/free trade, with region (state) owned businesses owning public services such as transportation, hospitalization, and anything else on that spectrum, including schooling. It's economic status is split between limited exports, slightly higher imports, and a shift towards a war based economy.
