The People's Republic of Hebei, more commonly known as just the PRH, is the spiritual successor to the former People's Republic of China. While numerous states that exist claim to be the successor the PRH controls both Beijing and Tianjin. After the Dawson Event, the PRC quickly lost control over its western provinces and without timely communication between the government and military, a response was untimely and minuscule. The eastern half of the country faced rioting and anarchy, forcing many of the nation's top politicians to Beijing, which the party still firmly controlled. By 2023 all of China had fallen into chaos and many proto-states formed in its wake, each proclaiming it was the real China. Having lost control over the nation the People's Republic of China renamed itself to the People's Republic of Beijing, reforming the party and political structure where five elected officials would sit on the newly established People's Committee who would serve every seven years with an indefinite amount of terms. From there one official from the People's Committee would be selected by the five officials to become the Secretary of the People's Committee, essentially becoming head of state while the Party Secretary would manage the party itself.
The first significant move by the People's Committee was to end the direct connection between the party and armed forces and instead transferred that responsibility to the committee as a whole with the Secretary of the People's Committee becoming the head of the armed forces. The first external action by the PRB was to secure Tianjin to begin reclaiming the nation while also start to find ways to turn all electricity and communications back on. Expansion into Tianjin was bloodless; however, the next move was to expand into the former Hebei province which had formed into numerous states. The next few years saw multiple military actions against proto-states in Hebei, causing numerous deaths in the area that resulted in significant population loss. While the PRB was able to reclaim most of the Hebei province, the sum hundred million that used to live in Beijing, Tianjin, and Heibe had been reduced to just under sixty million as a result of the conflict, disease, and starvation. With the reclamation of most of the Hebei province, the People's Committee changed the name of the nation to the People's Republic of Hebei, renamed the armed forces to the People's Reclamation Army, and set the next priority of the country to the reclamation of Shandong.

A relatively young leader for China, at the age of 42 he has been the Secretary of the People's Committee for its entire existence. At the age of just 33, he was elected secretary by the rest of the People's Committee due to his ambitious resolve to unite the Chinese people under the five-star flag once more. Before this, he was a young politician from Tianjin apart of its municipal committee who was recently elected to the position. After the Dawson event, he rose to prominence for his outspoken support for the government's actions in what ensued. He claimed it was a patriotic yet ultimately vein struggle to maintain much of China and supported the idea of rapid reclamation before any other proto-state would establish itself. These ideals are what attracted the other members of the People's Committee and the citizens, and his success, in turn, led to his reelection.​

The state now known as the Anatolian Empire was born as a result of the build up of internal tensions in Turkey over the past few years. In 2021, this internal tension turned into an all out civil war as a result of the Dawson Event. Many factions began to splinter off from the government, engaging both what remains of the national government and other rival factions. One of these factions, the Ottoman Restorationists as they were called, saw the Dawson Event as an opportunity to restore the once great Ottoman Empire from the chaos. Making heavy use of motorized militia and military defectors, the Restorationists swept through much of Western Anatolia, taking the Eastern half of Istanbul and later Ankara. With Ankara now under Restorationist control, the Anatolian Empire was declared under the reign of Sultan Alim Hikmet. The Anatolians now march East in hopes of reclaiming the rest of Anatolia and some of the former Ottoman lands.

Sultan Alim Hikmet, age 48, has been one of the most prominent figures in recent Anatolian/Turkish history. Before the Dawson Event, had served in the ranks of the Turkish Army for sometime, developing a hatred of the Republic during his service. When Dawson Event occured, Alim deserted the army and joined the Ottoman Restorationists, quickly rising up their ranks through his performance in battle. Alim grew to be one of the most respected individuals in the Restorationist cause and as a result was named commander of the Restorationist Forces. His fame only grew over time, and, after his victory and conquest of Ankara, was named Sultan of the newly proclaimed Anatolian Empire.​

Kingdom of Krung Thep

History: After the event the nation of Thailand devolved into a civil war centred around the Capital of Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok). Due to the heavy central focus and communication issues the rest of the nation soon fell away and became independant. The National Council for Peace and Order who were in control of the nation before the event were finally beginning to lose a lot of ground in 2024 and so turned to the King, Rama X, for aide, hoping that he would accept and provide them with him small number of loyal troops in return for increased royal powers. They assumed he would be likely to accept due to the Opposition coalition having a large number of anti-royalists. While Rama X planned to accept he saw the NCPO were unlikely to win even with his support but still wanted to retain the monarchy. To ensure this he went to one of the major opposition groups and organised a meeting with them and the NCPO leadership.

This meeting, held in secret in the Royal Palace in Bangkok, resulted in the Indefinite Constitution which resulted in the defection of a large number of Opposition forces and turned the war back in the NCPO's favor. The indefinite Constitution however, which returned the promised powers to the King also split the governmental power between the NCPO and the Peoples National Party.

In the early days of 2025 the Opposition had been pushed out of the Capital but still had significant influence in the surrounding regions and used this to begin starving out the city resulting the second offensive, resulting from a new wave of support due to promises of food. On the 6th day of march the same year king Rama X passed away aged 72. Resulting in a temporary ceasefire until his sons Coronation on the 19th of the same month. His son, aged 19 at the time was his youngest child but was the only one of his children recognised as a legitimate heir. However he saw his fathers actions before the event and how his unpopularity had fractured the nation to the point where this war was even possible and had spent his late teens trying to gain public support through charitable actions and by being well learned and talented like his grandfather who was beloved of the people. Its this support that many cite as the reason the ceasefire was possible as his grandfather had managed to sooth some of the tension in the 2013 political crisis and as his health failed even managed to stop much of the conflict in the nation as both sides showed solidarity for their beloved King. However Rama XI had no plan in place to solve the situation and so the day after his coronation hostilities resumed however both sides seemed to be avoiding the palace by a larger distance then previously observed.

In 2027, aged 21, Rama XI requested that both sides meet with him at the palace for a parlay. The meeting, held on the 29th of April, the Kings Birthday and a day usually without conflict, resulted in an agreement and the Crisis Constitution which further devolved power to the King, including command of the Army, setting of laws and ability to veto all decisions by the parliament. The Crisis Constitution is meant to exist until the nation is returned to a state of peace and the former borders of Thailand returned. It also renamed the area controlled by Opposition and NCPO forces, who were now allied, the "Kings land under the Governance of Krung Thep Maha Nakhon and his chosen governors and supporters until unity" though generally called the Kingdom of Krung Thep. While Rama XI agreed to try and stay out of politics as an unofficial agreement of the meeting he soon dived in, helped by his new iron grip on the nations much reduced press and his positive public image. Nearly all the reforms he has made have had little direct impact on the governments powers but have moved the nation back to how life was, though obviously still far from the same, before the event.

In the following years efforts have been made to retake the coastal regions around the capital as they are fertile and allow outside trade allowing the city to remain powerful in the region and able to continue to gather public support so that the reclaimation efforts can continue
