The New Gods
Rise of the New Pantheon

6bd6c324cda62be3999b74e5e0ea706c-d41iikm.jpg

Overview & Introduction

Gods have long been believed to be dead. Truth is, they've been around, reincarnated with every generation. There has never been a single God, such as the Greek Pantheon, rather beings inherent those titles and powers over time.

Now the powers awaken again as new people are chosen to be branded as the New Gods.

One new God has taken it upon themselves to eradicate the other Gods by becoming the one true God indefinitely. Posing a threat to all humanity.

Plot
A number of Gods have had their brands dried of power. Who's hunting them down? While that happens, rumors of a Christ-like figure has appeared in parts of the world, from Africa to Europe.
Brand
All Gods are branded with a mark symbolizing their power. From the cosmos, these brands sizzle with radiant power, feeding and unlocking for the God.

These brands allow one to attain their godly power and form, each stage unleashing the shackles of the brand and allowing more power to flood their body. The first stage is about 50% unlocked, second is 90%. After that there is reincarnation, which exceed the brands 90% limit and allowing from a new transformation, typically morphing the body. This allows all the power to be used.

This generally has three parts. The first is a partial unlock, the second is a nearly complete unlock and the final is using all power and becoming the God in physical form.

Theme
Insert later
Setting
The planet earth is the setting with monuments for each God scattered across the world.

This takes place on modern-day Earth.

Combat
Combat is player-trusted. It is done via story-telling in the text, but should the need come, a system will be implemented to restrict OP character uses. It should all be action voice, not passive, ideally. Follow the rules on TM, Character control, etc. If you have questions, ask me.
Rules

Minimum post:
A minimum of one paragraph of 5 sentences long. This isn’t for you to feel forced to write things to drag your post out but rather to encourage you to give ample detail in your posts.

NO One Punch Man’s.

Limitation is quite important for a roleplay. Characters shouldn’t be able to waltz over every and any obstacle. While it may be cool in a show or comic, the idea isn't to be Saitama from One Punch Man or Son Goku from Dragon Ball Super, or even Superman.

No Mary Sue’s/Gary Stu’s.

Your character should have at least a couple of flaws/weaknesses.

No TM’ing or GM’ing other people’s characters.

Try to avoid OOC chatter unless absolutely essential for understanding the post. Otherwise please see the OOC tab.

Please maintain a degree of politeness and respect for your fellow rp’ers.

Keep the current plot in mind and please try to avoid contradicting the plot/characters with your own actions. Write me if you're unsure if you violate or contradict these rules/guidelines.

New York City was a bustling metropolitan, filled with people of all creeds and colour. Summer had been working all day at the java house, smelling like she had rolled in coffee beans. She had meticulously tried to prevent that, but to no avail.

She walked to the end of the sidewalk and waited for the walk sign to turn on. In the process of waiting, she undid her hair that was held up with a bright blue bow, letting her snow white hair fall. She wore a black dress with a white undershirt and a black bow. Her nails were also black as she brushed her white hair and shook her head, spacing it out.

It was almost Christmas, and she was happy. Well, it was actually almost Halloween, but that was close enough.

As the light turned red for the lane before her, the walk sign turned on and she began to walk across when she passed by a mysterious person. His look caught her eyes and left her mouth ajar. "Who was that?"

A rowdy rumble of chaos went on behind Leroy as he casually walked away from the coffee shop looking quite pleased with himself. All he had to do was talk to one person, and in a matter of minutes the dominoes fell precisely as he predicted, and he had his free coffee. Hell, the guy who bought it practically handed it to Leroy. But even through his triumph he couldn't help but feel bored. The entire week had been non-stop murder cases that were nothing he hadn't solved before. New week, same shit, he thought to himself.

"Maybe it was time to try something a little more complex," Leroy said as he stood at the corner of the street, waiting for the walk sign to turn on. Who would be his participant? Something easy, but with vast potential. As he walked across the street, his eyes meticulously searched everyone passing him, judging each person in seconds. Too fat and probably lazy. Big nose, but too old to be bothered by it. Exercise nuts are too easy. Young woman with snow white hair. Eh. He guessed he could work with that. It was always easy using the women as the starting pieces, especially the ones that stood out. Insecurity and illogical emotion were wonderful tools!

He held moved his coffee to his left hand, and just as she passed his left side, he said, "I forgot," and spun around, jerking the cup so fiercely that the piping hot coffee spilled onto the woman with snow white hair. Leroy had also tripped and fell, throwing an elbow into the back of a knee of a large man with muscles as big as his own head. The man fell forward, landing on top of a small child whose parents were utterly furious. Shouting ensued.

(omg, how dare you! lol)

Summer was walking across when a man bumped his coffee into her and the hot liquid, adding to the already intense smell, now intensified by the liquid, onto her chest. She quickly used her hands to brush it off before it burned her, her hands becoming cold. "Eh! No, not my dress!"

She turned to face the man who had done it as she became flustered. "Y...Y-you! Aren't you going to apologize for that?"

She thought about what occurred and did not think it was an accident. That's when she saw his face and recognised him from the coffee house where she works. Her guard dropped as her raised fist also lowered. "Oh... I didn't reconise you. You were at the coffee house not that long ago when I left."

Alice was performing a magic trick to some kids on the Coffee shop, she was shuffling a deck of cards, acting like the card the kids choose was inside of it, in reality, the chosen card was in Alice’s mouth all along. She threw some cards around, making them fly around the kids or launching them at her own hand, when she was finished, she pointed up an the boys saw how the card was always in Alice’s mouth.

-Woah! Lady you are amazing!- One of them said.- What else you can do?-

-Yeah Miss!- Said the other boy.- Show us another one!-

-Okay, okay, sweethearts.- Said Alice.- But this one requires you to be really focused, if I am honest, this maybe the best trick in my career.- Alice noticed that the boys gasped and agreed to whatever Alice had planned, she pulled out a coin and said.

-Don’t lose track of the coin, I will be making it appear and disappear while it is moving around, if you can tell me where the coin is, it will grant you a wish. But only to the one who guesses right.- She looked to the boys, they were excited, as Alice could appreciate, they were born to compete against each other. She threw the coin like she was doing a bet between head or tails, and grabbed it with her left hand. While she closed it, she raised her right hand and also closed it.

-Where is it?- Said Alice.

-Are you serious?- Said the tall boy .- It is in your left hand! But since it is magic, it is in the right hand!- Said, while the small boy was agreeing with him.-

-Are you sure honey?- Said Alice, the boy didnt have time to respond, Alice opened her hand and revealed the coin inside of her palm.

-Hell yeah! I get a wish!-

-Honey, language.- Said Alice.- Choose carefully.- Alice noticed that the smaller boy was shocked.

-Uhm… well… I want the ability to predict the future! Almost as if I were a God of time!-

Alice felt scared of that word, she knew what gods were capable of and what they had to go through, she was terrified of that lifestyle. "Honey" pushed this idea saying it was a really cool wish.

-Okay!- Said Alice, rebuilding her composure.- Try to predict something now, see if it works.-

-No ritual? Ok, let’s see… uhm… That boy is going to drop his coffee and burn the girl that works here!- “Sugar” pointed at a girl in the streets and a boy at her side.

Surprisingly enough, the boy did turn around and spill his coffee all over the girl’s nice dress. Alice got scared, there was no way that the coin could grant a wish, there was no way the boy could actually predict the future, no way. The boys started celebrating and screaming how he can now do that, they run to their mother, that was in the line waiting to order.

It was a weird coincidence, Alice just boosted with her electricity her own brain, making her think a lot faster, and when the boys blinked she grabbed the coin with her right hand at incredible speed. Creating the illusion that she grabbed it with her left hand.

She seemed intrigued by the girl on the street and the boy, like they had some type of Ying-Yang feeling, so she kept an eye on them while she finished her Cappuccino. She started playing some Red Hot Chilli Peppers music on her phone and grabbed a book from her purse so she could stare directly at the street.

John enjoyed messing around with the other kids, but it's so difficult to make a friend when their parent is right next to them. Maybe that's why I'm so good at making friends, thought John, but his attention quickly shifted. He grew bored waiting for his new friends to step away from their mom. Looking back at the nice girl, he noticed that she started reading. He ran up behind her, picked up the headphones covering her ears, and asked "What are you reading?"

Kasarin Kasarin

She almost jumped out of her seat because of John's little surprise. It was obvious she was deeply involved in what she was doing. "Ummm," she hesitated, "it's a book about how too many choices in our everyday life are making people less happy, honey." John looked at her quizzically as he tried to process this. "Haha, paradoxes aren't supposed to make much sense. Basically we are offered so many choices that it's impossible to pick the 'best' one. In fact, there is no 'best' choice because each one has its own little advantages."

Now it made sense. John's little head bounced up and down a few times. As the girl was about to put her headphones back on, John asked "Do you believe in destiny?" As she thought on this, John figured that there is no 'best' answer from what he was just taught. Then, as he was about to get his answer from her, he went on to say "I don't think there is such thing as choice. It's less of a paradox and more of an illusion. Illusion of choice... Like..." He looked down at her headphones. "Like when you choose what song to listen to, you could say that you listen to whatever song is next or you could find a certain song. But... But either way it's one of those options and, in the end, it can't be both. Or like when lightning strikes! At first, you would say that it's random when and where the lightning hits, but if you knew where all the energy was and where it all wanted to go, then you can tell where it'll hit no problem! So... So that would mean that choice isn't really an option since the universe already made up its mind before you could do anything, right?"

RED-NOSED && CHILLY
Everytime his nose mustered up a sneeze Sebastian's tall frame shook vigorously. He couldn't help it, it seemed like his system can't get accustomed to climates that included snow -- even if they're just little droplets of frozen rain from the sky. And that's all it was in New York, just pitter-patters of snowfall. Nothing too heavy. Yet here he was with a ridiculous cold, reluctantly being pulled along a bustling crowd in one of the many streets of the Big Apple.

But Sebastian was far from miserable. He liked the sights that the city offered; it's bright lights, large screens featuring advertisements and the like, malls, shops -- you name it, it's here. But what he enjoyed most were the parks.
Sure, it lacked an abundance of wild life because the honking of cars and loud chatter of passerbys often than not scared them off, or the fact that it's nearing hibernation for most wild animals -- he still enjoyed it. Nature's nature, and he'll take what there is in this overpopulated man-made city.

Although park-time was over and he could really use something warm to drink and calm his nose.

Sebastian hugged himself tighter. His poofy beige parka (without fur, mind you) engulfed the majority of his torso, making him look like a marshmallow with earthy-brown trousers for legs. As much as he reasoned with himself that morning, going barefoot in New York was, he had decided, not welcomed. So he adorned sandals on the partially snow-covered street -- and he's only slipped once or twice...

He pointed his nose up in the air and sniffed, shivering slightly as the flavoured but icy scent of New York entered his nostrils.

There were many smells in a city but he'd learnt long ago to narrow down particular scents; this time it was the sweet and bitter scent of beverages.
"Hot chocolate, not coffee..." Sebastian murmured to himself as he allowed his nose to lead the way.

Whilst he was walking, nose still up in the air and sandals crunching on snow, his ears picked up a splash and a shout nearby. The man paid it no heed for his want for hot chocolate proved greater than his curiosity. As if he on cue he sneezed again. His bones rattled but all he did was chuckle it off.

The nearest scent led him to a cafe joint that was nearly filled to the brim of people. Sebastian's shoulders slumped at the sight and he uttered a weak whimper. However he still moved closer to place, and pressed his nose against the glass. It was warm against his skin, but his eyes were looking past the people and the menu.

"Aw mate really? You just had to move in front of...damn it." Sebastian grumbled childishly when a man with a bald head and a grey scarf blocked his vision of the menu. Instead of entering the joint and warming himself up, he thought it best to stay where he was and just wait for the man to move.
Brilliant, isn't he?
There's another reason, it was getting way too overcrowded for his taste anyway. The streets don't count.

Deep blue eyes wandered around the brightly-lit shop while he waited, and his gaze rested on a blond young boy and a ginger with headphones.
But it shifted back to the menu as soon as the bald man moved.
"Hot chocolate, there it is! My nose hasn't failed me yet."

The tall boy (“Honey” as called by Alice) jumped at her back and asked what she was reading, she answered politely, as she should. Then the boy started talking about destiny.

She had to lie to the boy since she didn’t want to change his mindset, to Alice, there was no such thing as destiny, everything was a matter of choice, she still said what she thought of destiny, hoping that it would't really affect him.

Then she kind of lost train of thought and put an example of lightning, she knew that lightning could be perfectly predictable, leaving the boy with a question of the universe that can be answered by believing in destiny.

She looked away from the store to keep an eye on the 2 weird people on the streets, she saw how the boy left a mess and made 2 other people fell.

But most importantly, she saw a handsome guy in the store looking straight into a bald man's head, not the menu of the shop.

“Wait… is he wearing… sandals?” thought Alice. “Ugh, he is cute but looks like a weirdo” The guy looked away from the head right into Alice and the boy, she got scared and while she blushed, she turned back to the boy.

-Okay, honey.- Said Alice to the boy.- I think that you should test your powers once more, what is the next guy with sandals going to buy? But don’t let him now that you are watching him.-

Alice was scared of the boy, even though her mind convinced her that it was just a coincidence, a little bit of her thought that it might be more, and was tempted to try it out.

What is the next guy with the sandals going to buy? John took a quick glance at the man. He seemed like the type of guy that would drink tea. Healthy, laid back, and at one with nature—his sandals proved that. But then, John had a different feeling. "He's going to get a hot chocolate... and... and a cappuccino!" He looked down at the empty cup in front of the girl. "Alice," it read, as well as a check-mark next to the word "Cappuccino."

John's face lit up and he gasped. "Ooooo..! You like him!" he whispered with excitement. Alice tried to shush him, but John ran over to the man and told him "The girl over there, Alice, finished her cappuccino a little bit ago." And then he darted out of the Java House, turned the corner, and cupped his hands to look back inside.

"Listen," Leroy said, standing up quickly while putting his hands in front of him. "I'm SO sorry. I didn't mean to do that." His apology sounded sincere, genuine, and held no lies. What he was referring to was what was happening behind him. He had made more commotion than he thought. There was a frame of time in the midst of chaos where people would be swept into the mix of anger and confusion. But eventually things would be sorted out, people would calm down, and they'd look for the logic in things.

Leroy didn't need to be there when that happened.

"I was in there not too long ago, yes. In fact, let me buy you a cup to make it up to you. Just don't scream, please." His pleading tone oozed from his voice, as if he wanted nothing more than to make up for what he did and put the past behind him.

Summer was caught off guard, feeling convinced by what he said. "S-sure." Everything felt so strange. So strange she let the air turn cold without thinking about it. She had at least stopped the burning of the coffee. Just from the scent alone she could tell the type and event the location of which the roast came from. It was lighter in roast from Cuba, based on the smell.

"I-I'm Summer, by the way," she said.

Walking into the coffee shop once more, she walked behind the counter with a smile as she went into the back to find a temporary shirt. She threw off her dress straps and removed the blouse as she began to then put on a plain white shirt.
Throwing the straps back on she walked out.

Then there was an odd fella wearing sandals. In this weather? It was mid-autumn.

The alley of New York City was a cold and decrepit place, normally not seen as the safest. A body lay on the ground, bloody and bruised from a sanguinary fight. A shadowy figure stood over the body as the man tried to crawl away, his shirt ripped off and revealing a black tattoo. The inner was a swirl, the mid a circle around the swirl and finally the outer was a cradling underline. Two of which were of a lighter colour, as if fading away when the mysterious person laid a hand on the seal and a flow of blue energy exited the body.

"W-why?!" Cried the injured man.

As the energy stopped flowing, the hand was removed. The hood removed and showed a male face with short black hair and a burn over the left eye, making it appear like he was partially squinting.

"Because, I can. You don't deserve to be trusted with such powers," the man said in reply as the injured man on the ground began to lose his life force, fading as the glimmer in his eyes faded to nothing.

He turned to face the busy street outside the alley. "I sense more... Much more in a collective area."

Alice noticed how the boy ran to the weird sandals guy quickly, but not as quick as Alice could react to. She boosted her mind up and pulled out her large wool hat with her glasses at high speed. She put them on with her headphones and returned to the position where she was, holding the book and not paying attention to anything except the 2 people outside, watching them enter to the shop and the girl going to the back of the counter.

Now, to unplug herself of the child talking to the dude in sandals, she started reading. That book that she needed to read in college for 5 times, but at the same time relaxed her, which it was needed, since that movement of hers made her feel a little bit tired.

The boy got out of the shop and watched over Alice, to not put much attention to it, she just gazed at the boy softly, he seemed cute and really nice, but a weirdo in general. For Alice, it was always exciting meeting new people, including this guy, but with such a presentation that lacks formality, it was strange. Really. Strange.

RED-NOSED && CHILLY
When Sebastian had peeled his face away from the warm glass of the coffee house, the blond boy that hisgaze had wandered to for a few seconds was suddenly by his side.
The girl over there, Alice, finished her cappuccino a little bit ago."
The taller man wasn't taken by surprised, some people liked to run out of doors and he won't judge them for that.

The sentence that came out of the teenager's mouth had managed to cause a confused but sheepish grin to dance across his lips.
"Huh, roight...?" He said quizzically as he looked down at him than over to the girl the boy had just behind back in the joint.

Sebastian didn't need to squint as his eyesight was inhumanely remarkable, if he had to describe it to someone, it would be almost like a hawk's. It probably was.
"Well wouldja look at that, the sheila did finish her cuppa." He humoured the boy as he observed the headphone-wearer, who, unlike before, had covered up all of a sudden with her woolly hat and face deep into the novel she was holding. Seb's interest melted away quickly and the need for hot chocolate rose again, reminding him of his chilly interior. It wasn't close to freezing anymore, but the man still felt as he was down with a cold...

"Roight, uh, I'm gonna head inside so if you wanna come back in there, feel free."
Before Sebastian scooted past the younger boy he clapped him on the shoulder and chuckled to himself. "Whacky little ankle-bita, aren't ya..."

He followed after a woman into the coffee joint and his nostrils was blasted by the bitter to sweet, spiced and flavourful scents of the place. Not only that, he was much, much warmer now. It was still unfortunately crowded but he could still move around, but not stretch his arms out to his sides at its full length without touching anybody.
Humming to himself, he gently shrugged off his parka so it loosely hung by his back, revealing the nape of freckled neck and collarbones. He was wearing a light shade of brown tank-top. To be honest, he looked like he was wearing the palette of Autumn.

Sebastian's gaze trailed back to menu, then to the server by the counter. A shock of white hair was barely visible as customers taller than she was was blocking her from view, but of course, he could still manage to see her. And smell her scent. It was a sharp scent...like winter. Sebastian believed stubbornly that scents had some sort of feeling with them, a texture. It was hard to explain for the man, but fun to talk about to others if they bothered to chat.

Eventually the line shortened and he was finally at the counter. The whole time he had been gazing around the joint, sniffing loudly and straining to hear anything of interest. Conversations of finance, break-ups, rumours of fleeting romance...oh and a dog barking somewhere out in the street.

"Whew, thought I'll neva get my hot chocolate at this rate," Sebastian said jokingly before absentmindedly leaning on the counter on his elbows. He didn't bother to gaze at the menu because it was obvious to him what he wanted.
"Sayin' that, can I get a cuppa hot chocolate?" He paused for a second and grinned, mainly to himself. "Please?"

John was watching into the cafe, eager to see what happens. But it was chilly and John was an easily sidetracked child. So as he waited for the man Divon Divon to order his hot chocolate and cappuccino as John predicted, his thoughts began to trail off. "I want to ability to predict the future! Almost as if I were a god of time!" Why did he choose that? It made no sense to him. "Choice isn't really an option since the universe already made up its mind." "Maybe," he thought, "maybe there is a reason I chose that... But why?"

Then he thought back to times before. The strange man spilling his coffee on the other girl wasn't just a coincidence. John knew that he didn't know it would happen. "That's just so random..! Too random..." And then before that he remembered a time when he just had a feeling like that.

It was about a year ago, now. John was standing around his favorite hot dog stand across the street from Yankee Stadium. It was raining. He got this feeling... a vision..? something... He knew something bad would happen. It felt like he got a weird dream, a very vivid one, where a weird looking purple pickup truck was going to turn the corner, skid across the wet pavement and hit the hot dog stand as it rolled into the street. It was like a dream but he wasn't asleep. After that he decided to look down at the wheels. Sure enough, they were unlocked. he stepped on the little metal lever, keeping it in place, and then waited. Nearly a minute later, this weird purple truck came flying around the corner but nothing happened. It was like he had seen the future. A possible future, but a future.

Then, John thought back to what Alice told him. Not about choice, this time. She said "Don’t let him now that you are watching him." Maybe that was it..! Maybe, in a different set of events, something else could happen. He's had a feeling like this several times before, but he could never explain it. Now he could. His wish to be able to see the future wasn't his choice at all. He's had this ability since he first remembered opening his eyes in New York. He just had to realize what it was. He looked back into the coffee shop. Mr Sandals was finally to the front of the line. He looked over at Alice Kasarin Kasarin who seemed to hide herself with whatever articles of clothing she had with her. Thinking about them, he smiled. And then, a sharp, painful feeling filled his head. It... wasn't an emotion and it wasn't exactly like a headache either. It was just... awful. Like nails on a chalkboard... Then it stopped and he had a different feeling. A bad feeling.

As Summer walked from behind the counter, she over heard the man who did not at all look properly dressed for this cold autumn day, but oddly enough matching the colour, wanted to order hot chocolate. She liked his unique style and told Misty, the girl behind the counter, "It's on me!" She smiled.

"I'm Summer," she said holding her hand out to greet the odd fellow. "You're quite eccentric, aren't you?"

There it was, the coffee house where the signatures felt strong. A load of them belonged in there, like the prey falling for a natural trap. Daniel walked forward to the building as he eyed the people, looking for who it was. Two stood out, one with white hair and the other in summer-esque attire. He held his hand out as water from the cold, moist atmosphere surrounded behind his back into a dagger-sized spear. He'll kill the weak one first.

As he came to the door, he used his free hand to swing it open and threw his arm forward, as if brushing his hair back, as the water turned to ice and flew towards Summer's heart.

Alice was watching over every sigle weirdo in the coffee shop, the boy, sandals guy, white-haired girl and douche. At least those were the names in Alice's mind.

She started to overhear the convesation of the girl and the douche just because she wanted to, she heard something about summer? When it was really just autumn, which semed weird to her.

And things couldn't get normal, either, a tall dark haired guy was looking outside of the shop right into the white-haired girl, she thought he may be a lover or ex-boyfriend since the boy semeed really invested in her figure, when in reallity, it was her chest.

This guy... he pulled out a spear out of thin air, a water spear. He busted open the door and threw the spear to the girl. Alice had no other choice but to use her powers.

To not call much attention, she just boosted her mind up (Which was easy and effective) and threw the first object that she could pull out.

Her recently purshased nail polish.

"Fuck, I guess it is what it is" thought Alice, touching the nail polish in mid air and giving it and increible boost in speed.

The nail polish was about to hit the water and break the spear, when it suddenly turned into ice, and when it contacted the nail polish, it barely just moved to the left (Or the right side of the girl) and the nail polish succesfully broke into pieces, making the orange liquid fly everywhere.

She stopped using her powers and felt like she ran the entire street in one go, knowing that she failed to save the girl 100%, but at least a little bit worked.

She barely moved from her initial position, making it look less suspicious. To don't act worried she changed the song on her celphone.

"It's on me!"
Sebastian swivelled his head to look at the source behind him where the declaration of ordering him a FREE drink had came from. Grins came easy to the man, and he flashed a sincerely joyful one to the white-haired woman. The other lady at the counter promptly forgotten, he pushed himself off the counter by the strength of his elbows.

"I'll be takin' that as a compliment! Thanks heaps for the freebie, Summah." Sebastian chirped as he reached for her handshake...
and a sound like of two glasses shattering shook him senseless, and he pulled back in surprise.
Gasps of shock and shouts reverberated throughout the coffee joint after the noise, and he could hear the honking of cars out in the streets. Was the door open?

Sebastian tore his cobalt blue gaze away from Summer and noticed splashes of orange liquid splattered all over the black and white tiles that made the floor.
He shivered, not from the cold or shock (that feeling's long gone now), but from the insistent ringing noise left behind.

"Bloody 'ell! Is that...is that an icicle?" He asked no one in particular when he noticed an ice spear that had pierced and killed a customer's flat white coffee, and its liquid blood was streaming down onto the floor.
Goosebumps prickled up his neck and his nose instinctively sniffed at the air, ears twitching, brows furrowed...
And his eyes eventually trailed to a man that was standing by the entrance of the coffee house.

"Huh." Sebastian was at a loss. But he smelt something was off -- like a dog would sense something unnatural and would bark a warning. The vibe of that was uncomfortably strong.

"Oi Summah, I reckon you can hold off on that freebie. Something's happened and I dunno exactly what." He told her without facing her.
He wasn't fond of being crowded in a small building, not just because it could get stuffy and all and the fact that he was more of an outdoorsy fellow -- but it was because he really pull off all he can do, if he wanted.

"Leroy," He introduced himself. "Nice to meet you." He shook her hand and then followed her into the coffee shop, his right hand already in his wallet. But he had gotten an odd feeling, as if there was something watching him. Naturally he would have shrugged it off, but he couldn't help himself. His detective instincts had kicked in, and it was difficult for him to throw them away. Lazily looking around, he did a three-sixty of the room, and the only thing he caught sight of was a cute girl staring in his direction.

She was likely around right before Leroy had left the coffee shop earlier, when all of the commotion was going on that had surprisingly died down given the small amount of time he had been away. Although Leroy was worried that she had seen him steal the coffee from earlier, he tore his eyes away from the girl and did another scan, finding a man entering the coffee shop with a look Leroy knew all too well.

Murderous intent stared into Leroy's eyes. But he wasn't the target. In fact it was Summer, his new acquaintance. He was ready to move to stop the draw of the gun, but he saw something much different than what he expected. A shard of ice dashed towards Summer, and before he could even react there was a crash. Orange liquid lay on the floor, spreading further and further throughout the shop.

Using the crash as a reason to panic, Leroy jumped into the air and moved towards the entrance of the coffee shop and under a table that was pretty close to the man responsible for the shard of ice. If the cards were played right, underestimation would be the attacker's downfall. While it was possible the man didn't just make that shard of ice, the look gave Leroy all the evidence he needed.

John's head hurt. It was like the internal screams of a gong as it rang back and forth. Eventually, the boy was able to come to his senses. He peaked back through the window of the cafe and quickly analyzed the room. Once again, just like when he used to pick pocket or look for easy people to steal from—or find out which hand a ball is in after being thrown into the air—time seemed to slow down around him. He scanned the room. Not much seemed out of the ordinary. Then, he noticed the shady man that was jut walking in. There was something... off... about him. Something... familiar... John looked him up and down as he slowly walked into the building. John definitely has seen him somewhere before... but he couldn't remember where. Then he noticed the dagger behind his back. But... the dagger wasn't normal. It was made out of ic— No.... It was water... Liquid water. That's when he remembered his name. Daniel Phisher. John didn't know how he knew it. Or where he knew it from. He just... knew... Then, Daniel threw the dagger at one of the people across the room. As it traveled through the air, John noticed his friend Alice move a little bit. Like her body got really blurry for a second. And in that second, an orange stain was suddenly covering the far wall. Then, a different man dashed really quickly behind a table over by the door. Next to Daniel. Something was happening. John didn't know what it was, but John did know he would have to figure it out. Something weird was definitely happening.

Sebastian Anderson

Summer's smile shattered into an ajar state as the sound of clashing commenced followed by orange and red mixing. Though the nail polish deflected more, it left tiny shards that stabbed, piercing into Summer's side and grazing her arm, leg and cheek.

"Ah!" she yelled.

Daniel watched as his attack failed and was shocked ( ;D ) at the defensive move. It was fast, but his attack still brought Summer to the ground as he watched her slide against the counter and onto her butt. Parts of her dress ripped and cut.

Someone here was fast or anticipated his move ahead of time. He could just do an area attack, it's not like these peoples lives matter. He had a higher goal, but if they left it would be less of a hassle. "You humans should run or I might kill you." He began to walk towards Summer's body, watching from all directions. He saw someone run to a table by the door. His response was kicking it hard and flipping over in the air away from the man and landing on a family of two.

Holding out his left arm, the water in the air and the sinks converged into the shape of a five-pronged trident. He held the tip to the Leroy's neck. Eyes starring down at him. "And anyone who is a God will die, or I'll kill every human in this room."

Summer held her wounds on her side as she looked up at Sebastian. "You should run, he isn't after you!" She moved her free hand to the counter as ice began to trail to the sink, freezing it and trying to prevent Daniel from using any more.

Alice saw that her [Counter]attack failed and still hit the girl, she didn't excpect that the spear would turn into ice, and if she had to fight against ice, she was at a disadvantage, a big one, since electricity doesn't run through ice.

She tried to act calmly as the attacker walked towards the girl he tried to kill, throwing off a person who tried to escape.

The attacker dodged perfectly an attack from the guy that dropped the coffee on the street and held his neck while saying: "Anyone who is a God will die".

They... they were more Gods in the same room? That is what shocked Alice the most, why, for all of the reasons, there had to be more of them in a single coffee shop in new york. Alice tried to regain composure, but her energy was already running, she was feeling excited in mystery and horror, something common in Alice was getting excited in any given emotion.

The attacker created out of thin air, like he did before, a trident with five spikes, but this time it didn't instantly turn into ice. Maybe it wasn't going to.

The victim said some words to the sandals guy and created Ice on the counter of the shop, which made Alice think of 2 things: one, she didn't knew the names of anybody even though she felt a familiarity with them, second, that girl created ice out of her palm like it was nothing, they were more Gods in the shop than just her.

-Uhm.- Said Alice.- Excuse me mister attacker?- Asked, as she stood up.- Those water tricks, they got me impressed, you could say I'm shocked by them.-

As she said that, she pulled out the "Magic coin" out of her pocket and threw it into the trident, landing exactly at the division of the spikes, the coin was charged before even Alice threw it, and when it landed on the trident, it released all of the energy, hopefully stunning the attacker long enough for someone to tackle him to the ground.

Alice didn't put too much thought into it since the attacker was holding the "defender's" neck, meaning they both would get stunned for at least 1 or 2 seconds.

Angel walked around the New York City. Powerful auras seemed to becoming directly from this area for some reason. It was as though there were people who had powers similar to a god in the city. As he walked around the city, trying to pinpoint the aura locations, everyone looked at him strangely. Some thugs near him looked at him with interest, probably assuming that he was a woman who loved to dress up like a vampire hunter.

"This is why I hate cities. So many stare at me just because I look different from them." Angel murmured.

He wished he could find whatever it was giving off powerful vibes soon. If only if he was at his full potential would it be easier. Being chosen as a candidate for becoming the next Void god seemed really amazing, but now it doesn't. Angel had always wondered how the old Void god felt before giving him the power of void. How it was like to be forgotten by history and replaced by other Gods. Angel thought it must have been pretty hard on him. He couldn't imagine being the first thing to ever exist and start life itself before being forgotten by his own creations.

In another part of his mind he thought that he should be going the other way. Far away from the power presences. Who knows if their friendly or not? What if they are stronger than him, could he be able to take them on? Well he might be able to, but for now he will keep his presences unknown by using the power of the void to make his appear smilier to that of a human so that if it is a god, they will only mistaken him as a human.

The coin tossed and landed on his trident, channelling the electricity through his body. "Arck!" It didn't take long for Daniel to simply connect the two. Brook (not Summer, I mistook her name!) had the sink burst open as a pillar of ice moved in, pushing the shocked man out.

Daniel had some time to react as the trident stabbed into the ice, only pushing him with the force of the ice, ending up in the middle of the street outside when a car stopped in front of him and honked. His response was slamming his fist on the hood, putting a deep dent into it before raising the car up with his strength.

"Interesting, two in one spot? Perhaps I'll open the gate much sooner than I expected said Daniel as people rushed out of the coffee shop.

Brook turned to the girl behind the counter and shouted, "Jenny, run out the back with the others!" Jenny simply nodded before scurrying away to safety. Chances were the cops would be called and then this would be international news. She could see already, mutant freaks wreck havoc in local Manhattan coffee shop.

Brook ran to the girl who threw the coin and made the timely pun, "So you're one too?!"

Daniel thought about the situation. He could divide and conquer them, he had just absorbed the essence of another, giving him more power. But... He had another card he could play, but he'd have to retreat if he wanted to play that. His backup.

He looked up to the sky, his eyes red as a mark under his clothing on his arm glowed bright blue and sizzled with power. He had read about the founding's of past Gods and pieced the puzzle together. There laid a realm where they drew their power from, and if he could open that rift, he'd be unstoppable. Then, and only then, would humanity truly know peace and protection.

"You two, how aware of the situation are you?" Daniel asked.

As the trident was pointed at Leroy's neck, he held his hands up in defense, cursing under his breath, sweat tricking down his face as his eyes went wide with a pretense of shock. "Hold on sir all I'm trying to do is-" but before he could finish his sentence, something attacked the mysterious man. The man was thrown out of the shop and into a car. Leroy jumped up with all the sharp features of a trained officer of the law, but the expression of a nervous school boy asking a girl to prom.

In a fashion that most seasoned veterans in actions would not advise for the sake of looking like of a complete idiot, Leroy ran outside with his arms flailing behind his back and dove behind a car just in time for the mysterious man to recollect himself. Leroy peaked over the hood of the car, drew his pistol, loaded it, took off the safety and aimed the approaching threat right at the knees. His teeth chattered under the cool motions and breathing of a trained professional. He squinted, his finger itching at the trigger.

A well placed distraction proved to be much better than a random attack.
