As Dorothea walked up the stairs of her new high school, she turned and waved to her older brother as he drove to find parking. She looked up, smiling at the cloudy sky before walking to the big wooden doors, opening them. As she walked inside, she took in her surroundings, watching people bounce from lockers to classrooms and other rooms.
Dorothea walked towards the big sign that read “Office”, holding onto her books. As the young strawberry blonde entered the office, she waved politely at the person sitting in a waiting chair, not looking much older than her; she had no idea that her life would change because of them.
Cut to six months later, and Dorothea had fallen into the hole that was falling for your best friend, which was particularly awful because that was her Only friend, and what if they hated her because of her feelings? She hung out with them all of the time, and they seemed to enjoy her company, and never got bored of her, but it was scary to think something might get fucked up between them.
