  Charlie Presley is the definition of someone who can't manage to have a single thought at a time. In fact, he's constantly thinking, even though it may not look like it to the untrained eye. He's a worrier, really. It's why he's scared of so many things, both tangible and untangible. Can he get a job? Where is he going to college? Is Bloody Mary real? Who came up with vampires? Wait, what was that noise? No one really has the answers to everything, but Charlie wishes he had the answers to everything. It would make his life a lot easier.
  
  Still, despite being such a a worry wart, , he really does prefer to go with the flow. He wants nothing more than to let loose and have some fun. Because he knows that there's no way he can get by in life unless he learns to let things go. So, really, he does his best. But he's definitely still a child at heart who's trying too hard to figure out the world around him. He's held on to his favorite pieces of entertainment from his childhood for far too long. Vinyl records, old video games, comics, you name it - he's got a vast knowledge of it all. It's all there for him to enjoy and relax with, and it's easily what he knows most. Is he a nerd? Probably, but he holds it with pride.
  
  He has a short attention span, though, and has some of the driest humor at the worst of times. He finds himself comedic, though, so at least he has that going for him. At the very least, he's always ready to have a good time, and will do anything for the people in his life. He doesn't really expect much in return, but there's nothing he'll put above loyalty and friendship. It's rare to see him mad, although he can get frustrated and his feelings are pretty easily hurt, he tries his hardest not to let it show.   By no means was the Presley household a traditional one. It was comprised of three people, although Charlie would say four (if he included his dog): Imogen Presley, her wife, Margaret, and their son, Charlie. Not long after the two women were married, they adopted their son Charlie. They were young at the time, and had their eyes set on big things. Well, big to them, but perhaps not to others in the town of Coolsville. All they wanted was a nice little home, a restaurant to call their own, and a steady lifestyle that they could call their own. And the first step to their happy family was a child. They fell in love with Charlie the moment they met him, but he was practically a newborn when they adopted him. His birth parents, whoever they were, had left him at the local fire station. Despite not knowing his birth parents, there had always been a side of Charlie that was curious. How could he not be? They were only able to confirm his date of birth and that he was born in Coolsville. It was normal for a child, right? To want to know why they'd been given up?
  
  Well, Charlie had a loving family. Or, half of one, at least. There was nothing wrong with the Presley's, though. He would never go as far as to say they were dysfunctional. But once the two women started building their family, they realized they didn't have enough money for their own restaurant yet. So Imogen had practically given up on their dream. Instead, she decided to pursue a career in the medical field. She was still young, it would get them money, so she wanted to be a doctor. But it took up a lot of her time. So Charlie spent the majority of his time growing up with Margaret. She was the definition of loving.
  
  Margaret made sure Charlie had whatever he needed. She got him snacks, toys, they would frequently go to the local park during the week. When she was just a waitress, she would bring Charlie to work with her. Of course, basically growing up in a restaurant meant sneaking bites of food. And Charlie soon learned that he loved food. Was it an unhealthy relationship? Probably. But it made him happy to be able to taste all of the extravagant delicacies that the world had to offer.
  
  While he was in elementary school, Margaret opened her own diner. He was only about six years old, and the diner grew popular rather quickly. It was like Charlie's holy Grail. He loved the place, and loved helping his mom out in whatever way he could. However, when his family struggled with money, and they moved between houses, Charlie struggled. Food was his safe haven, but his mothers noticed the unhealthy habit pretty quickly. They just weren't sure how to help their son. So they got him a dog! A young wirehaired pointer who Charlie named Milo. Charlie wouldn't go anywhere without Milo, but it wasn't like Milo didn't follow the boy at his heels anyway. Charlie was about 10 years old when he got the pup. The two were inseparable, and Charlie often snuck the dog some food during dinner.
  
  When Charlie got to high school, he joined the track team. He had gotten into the habit of taking Milo on runs throughout the day since he was so active, and his mother, Imogen, recommended he put the talent to use. In fact, he was a very fast runner. He didn't love the sport, but it was something to do. He even brought Milo to all of his practices. Charlie definitely slacked when it came to schoolwork, but he put energy into his sport, helping his mom out at the diner, and used his extra time to play video games or skateboard.
