Futuristic The Multiverse Theory

Seraph Darkfire

King of the Underworld

There are many universes in existence, some so chaotic that nothing can exist but the most depraved and destructive beings in all of existence, some are so well ordered that there are no surprises and no suspense, simply awareness.

Between these two extremes exists everything else. From Ordered Beings such as the Allslla to the Chaotic Denizens such as the Lienzium.

Our Universe is, oddly, closer to the Ordered side of the universes than the Chaotic side. Chaotic in its expanse but ordered in its laws. Because of this, our universe and those similar to it are among the last Universes to come into the Multiverse, fortunately, there are rules that protect them from being quickly assimilated by the major forces of the Multiverse.

Our Universes first ambassadors are traveling to the Nexus, the True Center of the Multiverse, so well placed that it is neither Ordered or Chaotic. Here, the various races of each universe can communicate, trade, and even battle for resources and information. From the advanced science of the Ordered Races to the wild magic of the Chaotic Races.

Will there be peace among the Multiverse? Will there be war? That depends on how well the people of each universe behave in the Nexus.

Notr look the same and act the same generally, but every one of them had some sort of difference. This particular Notr was named Alai and was the manager of arrivals. He maintained the gateways between the worlds and often greeted the new universes that arrived. As for his gender, while the Notr didn't have one particular gender, he identified as a male. Though that was just for the current time frame. Depending on how he felt, his concept of his gender might change.

His fingers flicked across the screens that floated in front of him, a unique device that had been picked up from one of the many universes already connected to the universe. It was a universe that was colloquially called a "Game World". As such, it possessed elements of what some universes called Video Games. An intriguing system that ran everything in an almost mechanical system, allowing for a surprisingly ordered, yet chaotic world.

A new notification popped up in the corner of his eye, which he then brought to the forefront of his vision. It was a list of Universes that would be arriving shortly. He moved the screen away and stepped out over the balcony, looking down at the Vista, a grand city system that housed a great number of Universal Ambassadors.

63c01ad1a25927b05c016d412d3bd662.jpg

This was only one of nearly a million similar cities on this planet alone. Almost nearly every planet within the Nexus universe possessed at least a thousand of these cities, each specially modified depending on the Universes that connected to them.

He hummed to himself slightly as he began to rapidly catalog the new information. Some of the new universes had actually been connected for some time, only the leaders of those universes hadn't been ready to send ambassadors.

"Nimbus" he said softly and in only a matter of moments, a shining golden cloud shot forward and parked itself before his balcony. This was another interesting thing from a more Chaotic Universe, one full of combat and destruction. Due to the ingeniousness of the Notr, it was easily replicated and was commonly used as a method of travel. Stepping onto it, he urged the cloud forward, shooting down towards the main plaza of the City.

He saw many other Notr riding their own clouds as he went towards his station. He also saw several Travelers passing across the plaza. He flew into the "Mouth" of the Universal Apparatus and felt it as magical energies twisted and pulled, compressing every molecule of his body before he was suddenly standing in a new place. A place full of mirrors and fog.

latest

This was the Vein. The underlying roads that passed through all Universes. If he was so inclined, he could travel from where he was standing to the very edges of creation. However, it would take a very long time. Looking behind him, he looked at the mirror that was glowing bright blue. Looking into the distance, he could see faintly glowing mirrors, symbolizing the connection to the other gateways into the Nexus.

These mirrors were always active, always glowing. However, all the other mirrors were dark. Unlike the Nexus, which was connected to the Vein, the other Universes had to open up a temporary gateway. He smiled as he stepped off of the Nimbus and strode forwards
"Lets see," he said bringing up his screen, checking the numbers "Hmm, seems quite far apart" he looked around and then suddenly snapped his fingers.

The Vein was not a physical realm, it wasn't even a realm of mirrors as it appeared. This was simply the Universal Connection, all Universes would see the Vein as a world full of mirrors. However, it's true aspect was random. For him, and many Notr, it became very realistic, matching the true distance between Universes and other areas of connection.

But with a snap of his fingers, everything began to move as the mirrors he needed to be at all lined up across from him. This prevented him from scurrying around in an attempt to greet all the new Ambassadors. Now, they'd all appear in the same place.

The mirrors began to glow as their Universes connected to the Vein. As the first of the Ambassadors stepped through, Alai raised a hand
"I would request that all questions be withheld until everyone has arrived" he said calmly as some began to speak at the same time. His tone left no room for argument. The quiet atmosphere prevented those coming after them from speaking.

Among all Universes, it differed how many ambassador's were sent. Those confident in their strength would only send one or two, some Universes would send a team, though the Notr would admit no more than ten at a time. One time in the past, he'd actually witnessed a universe send a remote controlled probe through the mirror. He remembered it being called a..Malp, or some such name.

The team that came through afterwards was quite amiable though and it was understandable that they'd be cautious, many Universes were the first time around. Some sent sacrificial pawns or slaves in case of danger, or trained animals. Of course, within the Nexus, any creature had the right to request Asylum from their Universe. The Nexus often had evil, or chaotic beings fleeing their home Universes often.

Of course, the Nexus was not obligated to help someone if they were to cause trouble in the Nexus as well. Alai himself often had to remove troublemakers from the Nexus, promptly sending them back to their home Universe.

Alai put his thoughts aside as the Mirrors finally stopped glowing. Everyone was finally here.

"Welcome, Everyone" he said calmly "This realm you have entered is the Vein, a pathway between Universes. These various mirrors all connect to a variety of Universes, some drastically different from your own, though I am sure your local Governing body has explained all of this to you before".

"I will remind everyone, should they not know or not remember, these Mirrors are indestructible and the only one's capable of opening them are the Notr and the denizens of that Universe, attempting to do so despite this information is counterproductive"

Alai smiled softly "As of this time, before we enter the Nexus, I am accepting questions. I will ask that you all proceed in an orderly manner. Chaos is all well in good in battle, but it is not in gaining information"

Due to the nature of the Vein, and in proximity The Nexus, all language was naturally translated. Anything spoken would be heard as the person's local language. This was not the case for other Universes however. As the Nexus was a wealth of information, it was possible to purchase Lexicons to a Universe should you be visiting.

Edell Copperfield

The Vein was-how do I describe it- weird... A dimension or universe that interested the Ambassador known as Edell Copperfield. Ghost.EXE was also the man's identity. He couldn't believe that he had the opportunity to see such universe. Not to mention that Edell gets to see beings from other universes. His scientifically advanced eyes couldn't get any data where any of the beings were from, unfortunately. However, he did get the chance to scan their appearances. Generally, they all looked somewhat familiar or from some video game. Edell wanted to greet them but decided not too. Mostly because some kind of tour guide was explaining the situation.

During such an informative speech, Ghost.EXE was amazed that "The Vein" was a pathway between universe. The thought made him squeal quietly. He wanted to explore such different universes, however, he turned off when the tour guide explained how it worked. "...only one's capable of opening them are the Notr and the denizens of that Universe..." The fanboy kept that rule in mind, he wasn't totally denied of having the opportunity for exploration in other universes. After all that, the tour guide was now accepting questions.

Edell thought of some questions. He had over a thousand questions, which included "The Vein" and other stuff. But decided not to. The cyborg didn't want to ruin the others for asking a question. So, Edell decided to think of at least two questions. He had to use them wisely, and make sure it satisfies him. Should it be about "The Vein"? No, there was enough information already. Should it be about the "Notr"? Well, Edell needs to think on making not sound racist. Should it be about what'll happen next? Like some kind of trial or challenge? That's a good question! How about the Nexus? Edell has got a question ready! With a small cough, Edell asks,
"E-excuse me, universe being? Will there be some kind of challenge for us? And when will get to see the Nexus?"

Shinji always made it a point to conduct himself with grace and decorum when not actively trying to kill someone. He maintained this grace through any situation, and had managed to keep it up even now it was becoming harder and harder. Of course he knew about the multiverse, and that he had been chosen by the White Forest to be his universe's representative. Even still, keeping his composure even while being transported to a world of mirrors, each of which were inter-dimensional portals was quite a task. He awarded himself a pat on the back (to be dispensed at a later date) for doing so. He looked around, observing the other ambassadors. They could be allies or enemies, depending on how he treated them. Luckily, his universe was fairly balanced in terms of Order and Chaos, so he hopefully wouldn't have too much trouble ingratiating himself with them.
The fact that he was alone bothered him. He saw many other ambassadors in teams and small groups. He was the strongest in his own universe, but there was no guarantee he was the strongest in the multiverse. He found himself wishing that he had other homunculi with him, if only to use as shields or distractions. To ease his worries, he kept himself on guard. He could draw his knife and slit a man's throat in 0.3 seconds from this position, and if that was not sufficient, then he would run. Courage was for the dead.
"Well, no sense crying over spilled blood" he thought. "I'm here now, and with no other options than to endure it."
He listened to the... ambassador, guide? what should he call the being? He honestly had no idea. That would be one of his questions. As the being finished talking, Shinji prepared himself to ask a question, but was suddenly cut off by a very nervous-sounding voice. He couldn't see who it was through all the people, but he knew he already disliked its owner. A universal ambassador should hold themselves high, and act with dignity, not stammer and fret! He asked his own questions directly after the nervous voice had stopped, his voice ringing out high, and strong.
"How should we address you? "Is there anything we need to know?

"For order, peace and perfection" said Braylin Nok as he smiled at his partner Chele. He took a deep breath and stepped into the shimmering mirror in front of him. In what felt like both an eternity and an instant, he stepped forward into a strange place, a new universe known as The Nexus.

His muscles flexed and his tail flicked as he stood before a number of... people, he supposed. He sensed danger, chaos, disorder but also a certain peace and harmony from the group. Many forms of creatures were around him, and soon there was a strong and confident voice in his natural tongue which was clearly understood by everyone in the room. He shifted his focus to the lead ambassador.

His updated cerebral network had informed him of the physics behind the mirror and the travel he undertook and he now learned that it was called The Vein, the same name as the vessels which brought dirty blood from the body back to the heart and lungs. Was there something in that? Did this civilisation see other universes as unclean and them the heart and lifeblood of the multiverse? His tailed flicked and glowed brighter at the thought. "There is danger here, I must remain vigilant" he thought. The influence of chaos was a threat, magic was simply the misunderstanding of science, he knew this, his cerebral training made it known, "Why am I questioning this knowledge suddenly?". He focused his thoughts on the creature in front.

Questions. He, she, it... wanted questions. Where to start? He listened to other questions, all answered patiently and mostly satisfactorily by the ambassador.

His question was simple. "My name is Braylin Nok of the Jun. I come offering a means to peace. What are your intentions?"

Ozem found this experience to be strange, traveling to a new world by stepping through a mirror. Combined with the other ambassadors that surrounded him, he found this entire experience surreal. Quite a few of them looked powerful, he even saw a few with animal like traits, similar to his own species.

Then came the question and answer portion of the event. The questions were good, but they were thinking too small, they all seemed to be stuck in the constant belief that they were in their home universes, as weird as that sounded to say. He could tell that their different experiences influenced their decisions. One asked about challenges, one for information, and one for a possible threat.

Ozem himself had a different set of questions.

"First of all, where can I get a drink? The travel here was quite...lacking? I'd also like to know where I'll be staying" it was always his philosophy to get a look at the accommodations first, you could tell a lot about your host by seeing how they put you up for the visit. Some would place you in the best possible rooms, to garner your favor, some would place you in poor rooms in an attempt to test your patience. Everyone was different.

It was always nice to see the new arrivals. They always had such interesting looks on their face. Some were amazed about the appearance of the Vein, some were taken in by the appearance of the Notr. Alai himself liked seeing how well they handled the transfer. This batch was certainly quick to adapt. They quickly posed their questions, though it was why he'd left this time open for questions, new arrivals always had so many. It was surprisingly tame this time around though.

He turned his eyes to the first one who had spoken
"No challenges, the only challenge was to see if you could gain enough power or knowledge to access multiverse travel. As for seeing the Nexus, that will be shortly, after everyone's questions have been answered"

Alai then looked towards the next one. A young man with a surprisingly cold air about him, though this wasn't the first time that he'd been around Assassins "Address me as you see fit, though I do go by the name Alai" he cocked his head "As for what you need to know, well, that depends on the situation. In the Nexus, there is to be no violence or acts of violence of any kind. All knowledge is available to you, should you desire it, however, some universes have requested that their information be restricted to only what they want released" many universes had sensitive knowledge, some knowledge that they wanted protected no matter what. "However, knowledge pertaining to attacking another universe will not be kept secret"

He smiled softly "As for individual knowledge based on other Universes, that is for you to gather yourself"

The Notr turned his eyes to another of the ambassadors. This one gave the feeling of a diplomat, though he still had the air of a warrior "Peace is a requirement for entering the Nexus, so it is pleasant that you are offering a means to it. By intentions, do you mean my intentions personally? Or the Notr as a whole? Both are peaceful, though I do have a mild interest in the technological and magical development of your universes" he chuckled.

He once more looked at a new person, though his questions were quite casual compared to the others "Many universes have set up various..."bars" should you wish to visit them" the Notr themselves had attempted to create alcoholic beverages, however, the drinks were always too well balanced for heavy drinkers, though those who had poor constitutions found them pleasant "As for where you will be staying, the Notr have provided places of rest for all those who enter the Nexus, I will bring you to them momentarily" the rooms in question were designed through a combination of Magic and Science.

Spacial Technology created a Bigger on the Inside situation, where the magic on the inside allowed for full customization of the room. The Notr let the people design their living areas however they wanted.

"I will now give you time to pose any follow up questions should you have them" Alai smiled.

Shinji nodded as "Alai" answered his questions. The being seemed fairly reasonable. A practically imperceptible grimace flashed across his face when he heard of the "no violence" rule. This could become... untenable. Shinji had to hurt people. It was as simple as that. It was as necessary to him as breathing, or eating, although he did not need it as frequently. He had to find some way around this, or he would end up snapping and attacking indiscriminately. That would be very, very bad. He did not want to, but he knew from experience that it would happen. To avert this disaster, he would have to "tip his hand" as it were. He would have to ask several questions about the rules against violence to this "Alai". This could end up alienating himself from the emissaries of several universes, but not as badly as attacking and torturing them would. If it became absolutely necessary, he could subsist with torturing animals. It did not give him the same pleasure, but it would do in a pinch. He calmed himself. he would cover his questions with others. It would only trick an idiot, but better an idiot he could control for an ally than none at all.
"I have several follow-up questions: Is there a way to contact the inhabitants of a restricted universe here at the nexus for access to said universe? Is violence in self-defense legal? "Is violence against non-sentient beings legal? and what did you mean when you said knowledge about attacking another universe would be publicly available? What is the punishment for committing an act of violence? Where can we access this information? What is the procedure for restricting access to a universe's information?"

Edell Copperfield
Edell simply listened to the being, "Alai", responding to his questions. He was pretty excited to hear about the challenge of gaining power or knowledge to access multiverse travel. Multiverse travel seemed extraordinary and gave interest to the likes of Edell. Though, he did hope there was some kind of challenge to enter the Nexus rather than being simply invited. Of course, what can you do? It was better than nothing. After his questions were answered, Alai answered some questions from someone cold and strong. Answering with a no violence policy, Edell really didn't care. He wasn't violent and only fought under self defense or when it's necessary.

Hearing about information to attack another universe surprised Edell. If another universe went to attack Monstrailium, the Legion of Kings would be in danger. Listening further, the Nexus was a peaceful place and peace is required. Sounds easy enough, peace comes from adventurers like Edell. He heard about the Notr providing a place to stay in the Nexus. Whether the room was extraordinary or filthy, Edell just wanted to know how a Notr commonly lives. Were they like the Humans in his own universe or something else? Edell was curious. Alai was open for any follow up questions.

Edell decided to ask something more casual. However, he was cut off by some strong voice. The questions they asked were mostly about violence and bits of wanting information about other universe. Edell thought the person was going a little overboard with the questions.
Calm down with the questions, share some of those questions for the others... the cyborg thought. After the barrage of questions, Edell calmly and casually asked, "Hey Alai, how's your day going so far? What do you do?" It was some friendly questions that went along with a friendly smile. It's not wrong to ask about how someone's day has been.

"Thank you Alai. Your warm welcome is appreciated as is your openness. We would very much like to help to obtain peace across the multiverse, seemingly unlike other races" Braylin glanced across to one creature who seemed to have a fascination with violence. He could sense the chaos in the room and it made him feel uneasy.

Braylin paused for a moment to consider his next comment. "The intentions of the Notr are important to me and my people," he said aloud whilst his mind was racing, he thought to himself, "we have strived so hard to obtain our peace and order only to be confronted by such... evil..."

"I hope to get the opportunity to discuss the..." he paused, working on his diplomacy, "...balance between order and chaos."

Braylin came prepared for this or so he though. His multiverse view was so focused, fanatically so, towards achieving perfect order that he couldn't fathom that he would find other creatures seemingly satisfied without it. And these Notr, sitting in the middle, conducting, controlling maybe? So many more questions but now was not the time, he had already said too much.

"I am looking forward to visiting one of these... bars, did you call it? Refreshments would be wonderful," he flashed his best attempt at a reassuring smile in the hope of relieving some of the tension he felt was in the room.

His tail flicked involuntarily...

Alai smiled patiently as Shinji asked his questions. This was to be expected, there existed many races who had traveled to the Nexus who found the lack of violence to be a put off, some did it as a mating ritual, some just enjoyed it, some did it for bonding reasons. It was very common, but still restricted.

As he looked at Shinji, it was as if he was staring through him "Many universes have ambassadors you can contact through the interfaces found in your living area. If you request it, we can have a more mobile version assigned to you, based on your universal requirements, as for those Universes that don't have ambassadors staying with us, I am afraid it would require either contacting them personally through your own means or using the Notr to set up a meeting"

"Now, while violence is prohibited, that is only in unrestricted areas. All across the Nexus are various locations where combat is allowed, varying from non-lethal to extremely lethal, to access these locations require a Challenge request to be made and accepted between both parties" Alai shook his head "All Violence, self defense or otherwise, towards sentient or non sentient beings, is prohibited. Attempts to do so will be punished through varying means. First offenders will be detained and warned, second offenders will be placed in stasis for a minimum of ten years, and third offenders will be banned from the Nexus, reapplication to the Nexus will be allowed after a short period of a hundred years" Alai waved his hand and a small bubble appeared in front of him. Within this bubble, appeared an image of a Notr "All attempts at violence is made null through Notr technomagic. If an attempt is made, you will find yourself incapable of moving, you will then be detained" the image showed the Notr being attacked and their attacker freezing in place a second before the attack landed.

"As with contacting another universe, you can also acquire many forms of knowledge from the interface in your living area, if your Universe is the one being attacked, you will be notified immediately. The Notr respect your privacy. Information you do not want shared can be made restricted by making a request. It is required that you make a list of the pertinent information"

"If the information is not restricted, it is free for you to peruse" there were many beings, similar to the Notr, who simply wanted to know things and as the Notr had compiled massive stores of data and information, one could spend an entire lifetime studying and never get through even a small fraction of it.

Alai turned his eyes towards Edell "My day has been pleasant, I've acquired a large amount of new information with the addition of the many new Universes that have recently joined the Nexus, it is quite pleasant to go through" he smiled "As for what I do, it is this, I greet, inform, and properly insure that all new arrivals to the Nexus are comfortable with their living arrangements"

Alai looked at Braylin "The Notr believe in the prosperity of all races" it was one of the reasons the Notr hadn't wiped out the Allslla after their consistent attempts to circumvent their rules. The Notr were strong believers in freedom. The main reason they imposed such rules was to protect the freedom of every Universe. It was quite difficult to balance both Safety and Freedom, but that was the problem of being the creatures of the Nexus.

He chuckled
"The Balance between the two forces is easy to find, yet difficult to maintain, feel free to ask any questions you have"

"As for bars, I will send you a list of potential establishments you can enjoy"
there were establishments for both Chaotic and Ordered beings. It wasn't unusual for conflict to be bred over an Ordered being stepping into a rather Chaotic bar. While it was encouraged for them to explore and learn, sometimes it was best to give them relative information before hand.

Ozem grinned behind his mask at the mention of there being many bars. A good place to drink always had good information. As more questions were answered, he found it interesting that these Notr actually allowed for violence in any form. But he supposed it was good to have designated areas to allow those more violent ones to run rampant. Ozem himself knew those types and they'd only make things worse if their aggression was not released. Some guys loosed their aggression in bed with women, some guys loosed their aggression in combat with others.

Sometimes a good slug fest was the only way to handle anything. He wondered how the challenge system worked but decided that he'd look it up on this "interface" thing that Alai spoke of "Well, this has been a pretty informative session" he said chuckling.

Edell Copperfield
Ghost.EXE waited and listened patiently for the responses. Alai had commented on the communications with those of your own universe. Say, Edell did have to give his observations to the Legion of Kings. So, maybe he'll schedule a meeting with the King of Ghosts later. On the topic of violence, he heard about coliseums that allowed them but only if it was a challenge. Ghost.EXE wanted to observe it, see how it look and what it was. Maybe Edell would challenge an ambassador from another universe, possibly to study them. He heard about the consequences about the attempts of violence. Edell put it in his checklist for future reference.

The next topic was about info about other universes. It gave Edell's immediate interest as he was a learning hog. The cyborg didn't know what to keep private since there was away to keep some information private. Another reason why he should schedule a meeting with the King of Ghosts. Alai replied happily to Edell's casual questioned. He became envious of Alai's job; getting to meet Ambassadors from other universe and lookin up information. Hearing about a list of bars, Edell would possibly visit one. To get a drink, but nothing alcoholic, and information. Ghost.EXE made some objectives for himself. It was a fun experience and Edell remarked,
"This was a great session, thanks for bringing me here!"

Shinji relaxed slightly. This "challenge" system was perfect. A completely legal way to vent his baser impulses with no repercussions. He was surprised that he literally could not attack anyone. That was very interesting. What counted as an attack? His desire to test it went up against his aversion to getting caught.
Sealing information about his universe was a priority. The other universes could not find out about the mass genocide the White Forest had perpetrated. Even the more chaotic of beings may not side with it.
Attacking other universes could be interesting... We could expand the White Forest into a inter-dimensional organisation.
Shinji cleared his head. Now was not the time for such thoughts. He had to consolidate a power base among the other ambassadors, as well as find out more information about this place. He also needed a drink. It had been a long day of prep for this universal excursion, with some very... invasive tests. At this point all he wanted to do was find his accommodation, report to the Director, have a drink, and go to bed. He was not an exciting person by nature. Indeed, all that made him unique was his sadism.
"Thank you Alai. What means of transport are there in the nexus? And who is the leader of the nexus?"
Seraph Darkfire Seraph Darkfire

This was overwhelming, a sensation new to Braylin, he had always felt in control but now he could sense a change around him.

Within him.

What was it the that the Cerebral Network had informed him about chaos and magic from their past? Was it always simply parlour tricks and the likes, tomfoolery such that we see in children before they become informed and guided by the order and knowledge of the network.

As he continued to look around him, unsure of what to say, he felt different. He could see raw power wanting to be unleashed. Unknown knowledge ready to be yeilded. How can he articulate to these people, some so seemingly primitive and violent, the value of order, of peace, of control... The Cerebral Network.

Why did he feel as if it was failing him now? Why did it feel.... weak?

Braylin took a step backwards, indicating he had nothing further to say for the time being. He needed to understand what was happening within himself and observe those around him closely.

Alai smiled "I'm pleased that you are happy with my information. Transportation in the Nexus is provided through a variety of means, I myself use a tangible cloud from a chaotic universe, though it doesn't respond well to those with dark hearts" he chuckled "You may find suitable transportation from your living area's terminal" in the Nexus, there was a large variety of transportation. From instant teleportation, to mechanical and magical devices designed to propel you through the sky "Of course, you are also free to use your own universe's method of travel, should you posses flight magic, or wings of your own"

"Now that everyone seems to be satisfied, I will lead you to the Nexus itself"
he turned on his heel and began to walk. He was confident that they'd follow, after all, there was nothing else to find other than the forest of mirrors around them. Eventually, he led them to a mirror that looked no different than their own. With a touch of his hand, the mirror began to glow. Then he stepped through, vanishing from sight.

As they all stepped into the mirror, they were transported into the Nexus, appearing within the large structure Alai had originally passed through to get the Vein.

Alai smiled as they all arrived
"Welcome to the Nexus" he said waving his hand towards the vast expanse that was this world. Buildings floated in the distance, quite similar to the one they were in. From their vantage point, they could see numerous beings traveling around, doing their own business. Floating through the sky were small planes, ships, giant birds, clouds of a magical nature.

Their guide chuckled as he headed down the stairs towards the large pillar of blue flame at the center of the plaza "Do not worry, the flame will not harm you" he said as they grew closer "This is known as a Waygate, it will take you anywhere you wish on this planet" he pointed ahead where they could see a beam of purple coming from the distance "Those are Planetary Waygates, designed to take you to the other planets of the Nexus, however, I'd recommend not venturing too far from this planet as it is currently the safest in terms of viability. It is similar enough to your home universes that you are not uncomfortable, that is why a majority of the species here are similar in shape and size"

There were many other planets, designed to be beneficial to those from different universes.

He turned back to the blue flame and reached his hand forward. Instead of burning him, a small screen appeared in front of him, it's words shifting into the language of those reading it
"This screen will allow you to pick a variety of locations, I'd recommend choosing the "Living Area" option to start. From your Living Area, you can return here or travel anywhere else on the planet"

Ozem nodded "Well, this has been an interesting day Alai, I thank you for your aid" he said reaching his hand into the blue flame. When the screen popped up, he chuckled "We could use this back at home" he mumbled as he used his fingers to play with the screen a bit, getting used to how it worked "Like some form of book and tool all at once" he said finding the "Living Area" option and pressing down on it.

With a gentle blue flash, he vanished. At least that is what it appeared to the others. For him, he had blinked and found himself standing in a completely blank space. He looked around in confusion before another screen popped up, informing him that it was gathering necessary information. After a moment, the white space around him began to change.

He suddenly found that he was standing on a bridge overseeing a chasm. In the background, he could see white capped mountains and on either side of the chasm, he could see a beautiful forest. Ahead of him was a massive tree, a house built into the center of it "Childhood dreams" he said softly. This was perfectly designed to how he'd imagined it as a kid. There was an area similar to this some ways east of his old village. He'd imagined this exact image so many times.

Ozem chuckled and removed his mask "Damn Nexus, I'm officially impressed" he said walking towards the house.

Shinji nodded as Alai answered. He made a mental note to acquire a vehicle quickly. He may need to flee if he angered the wrong person. Alai moved on, taking the group to a mirror like any other, and taking them through it.
For the second time in Shinji's life, he felt moved. The first time had been when he slaughtered his siblings in order to gain his title, and the second time was now. The nexus was beautiful. He'd never really found beauty in things before, as he had never been very materialistic, but the sheer scale of this place was amazing. He quickly reasserted control, however. He could not have the other ambassadors seeing him acting like a child. Alai took them to a massive column of flame. Apparently they could use it to teleport anywhere on the planet. This technology was incredible. Teleportation? This was beyond his wildest dreams! Speaking of dreams... Shinji's exhaustion began to set in, and he decided that he would get his drink tomorrow.
Shinji pressed "Living Area" and arrived in a completely blank space. It quickly formed itself into his room at the White Forest Headquarters. It was very sparse, containing a bed, a desk, a clock, a toilet, and nothing else. It was little larger than an average bathroom, but Shinji liked it this way. He felt uncomfortable indulging in scenery. He considered giving his report to the Director, but decided against it. He did not know if he was being watched or not.
"Regardless, this world definitely cannot be invaded, it is simply too powerful."
Shinji lay down, closed his eyes, and slept.

Edell Copperfield
Edell simply listened to what Alai had said. He took notes about the transportation in the Nexus. Maybe he could get one of those flying cars from the commercials he often saw on television. Edell mostly went on foot on his adventures, even glide if he was up high. Getting back on track, Alai stepped through a mirror, disappearing from the area. He followed him, like everyone else, through the mirror. He was know in the Nexus, a universe unlike his own.

His jaw dropped as he witnessed the beauty of the Nexus. He was amazed about everything he saw. The buildings, people, atmosphere and everything else. Shifting his focus back on Alai, Edell followed him down the stairs. He heard Alai talking about the technology for transportation around the planet. Even explaining about using something like it to visit other planets! What were the other planets like?

Using the blue flame, Edell pressed "Living Area" and had vanished into a weird, blank space. Before he could question it, a screen popped up, showing a loading screen for getting plenty of information. To his surprise, the blank space was transforming into something magnificent.

Trees began to form, making the area like the woods. A cabin-like house had form, which was pretty large. It had fit Edell's mindset of his own home. It didn't look futuristic on the outside but that's when you look on the inside. He walked in the house and was excited. Edell would then have his own adventures inside the house, trying out the gadgets.
