Overview
There are many universes in existence, some so chaotic that nothing can exist but the most depraved and destructive beings in all of existence, some are so well ordered that there are no surprises and no suspense, simply awareness.

Between these two extremes exists everything else. From the Ordered Beings of Allslla to the Chaotic Denizens of Lienzium.

Our Universe is, oddly, closer to the Ordered side of the universes than the Chaotic side. Chaotic in its expanse but ordered in its laws. Because of this, our universe and those similar to it are among the last Universes to come into the Multiverse, fortunately, there are rules that protect them from being quickly assimilated by the major forces of the Multiverse.

Our Universes first ambassadors are traveling to the Nexus, the True Center of the Multiverse, so well placed that it is neither Ordered or Chaotic. Here, the various races of each universe can communicate, trade, and even battle for resources and information. From the advanced science of the Ordered Races to the wild magic of the Chaotic Races.

Will there be peace among the Multiverse? Will there be war? That depends on how well the people of each universe behave in the Nexus.

Science and Magic
Every universe has its own specialties, but almost all Universes fall into one of two categories. Science or Magic.

Science & Order

Those on the Ordered side of the Universal Spectrum generally specialize in Scientific Advancements. Weapons, tools, electricity, Mechs. Using science and the laws of their universe to further themselves. The major problem with this type of Universe is that some species are incapable of realizing the danger of their scientific advancements. While highly efficient, they are often blindsided by their arrogance. Many universes have been completely overthrown by their creations or completely decimated by wars.

The closer one gets to True Order, the less effective Magic becomes. Magic that can bend the universe in one's home universe may have as little an effect as making a small breeze in an ordered Universe. (Click on the image to see a bigger version.)
Magic & Chaos

80d20cc96f436c3fbf097920ba62c3a0.jpg
Those on the Chaotic side of the Universe Spectrum generally specialize in Magical Advancements. Wands, Sigils, Superstition. Magical races such as Fairies, Werewolves, Vampires, they all exist in the Chaotic Universes, in various degrees of strength. These Universes are often ruled by supreme godlike beings, those who are at the pinnacle of their strength or were born with the Universe.

Unlike the Ordered Universe, there are no strict laws to these universes. What says Gravity must work one way in an Ordered Universe will often be freely manipulated in a Chaotic Universe. Laws in these Universes are often simply guidelines that can be changed on a powerful Mage's whims.

The close one gets to True Chaos, the more and more the natural laws don't matter. Machines that aren't made with magic often fail or are possessed by spiritual beings. Cause and Effect are often flipped when it comes to the Science of the Ordered Universes. (Click on the image to see a bigger version.)
True Neutral
In the entirety of the Multiverse, there exists only one Truly Neutral Universe. This is the Nexus, the very center of all the Multiverse. Science and Magic work perfectly here, undisturbed by the others. However, there are limitations. Universe Class magic and science are incapable of being used.

The Beings of the Nexus have no allegiances but to themselves and are the Prime beings that which all other organizations defer to when in the Nexus. True to their name, the Nexus is a Neutral Zone for all universes. Trading knowledge, weapons, tools, or anything else is possible. There are various places within the Nexus that allows for combat between two factions should they be desired.

The Nexus is also the first place new universes enter into. Even when traveling through other universes, these new universes are guaranteed their independence. None may be forced into a faction and no universe can be attacked unless they attack first.

Order & Chaos
At the Extreme ends of the Multiverse are True Order and True Chaos. These universes are absolutes in their Alignment.

In True Order, there exists nothing but Infinity, the ever stagnant infinite expanse. To stand in this universe is to be steadily faded out. In the entirety of this universe, there is only one being, a being of perfectness. This one being is a Destroyer, for it seeks to Order all other existence should it be set free from it's universe. Fortunately, it is held in check by it's total opposite, Chaos. From True Order comes Order, giving stability to an ever changing Multiverse.

In True Chaos, there exist the Primordial Chaos, a rolling, storming force of energy that is comprised of everything in existence, too wild to truly take any form. Within this Primordial Chaos exists a consciousness that seeks to expand it's influence, to bring chaos to everything. From True Chaos comes Chaos, an ever changing force that gives freedom and consciousness to an ever stabilizing Multiverse.

Should either of these forces ever lose out to the other, everything would cease to exist.

The Allslla
singularity-825x510.jpg
There are many universes of Order, many that are powerful and have their own rules, but none are as close to True Order as Lemmel, the Home Universe of the Allslla. This universe is nearly perfect, everything is run through a perfect algorithm, from the rotation of the planets to the amount of sunlight every plant absorbs.

The Allslla are a race of Sentient Machines or to be more exact, a Hive Mind. There is only one consciousness and it is that of the Universe itself, calm and organized, the Allslla are it's hands, reaching out and firmly keeping the Universe ordered. Nothing in this universe is random thanks to the Allslla. Even the plants and animals, all living things have nanobots controlling their every movement.

To this race, Randomness is an offense to them. They seek to make everything follow a specific pattern, Their pattern. They were one of the first races to step into the Multiverse. They quickly assimilated several universes before they were firmly stopped by the Notr.

In modern times, the Allslla have been quiet. Due to the restrictions of the Nexus, they are incapable of assimilating new Universes without consent. To bypass this, they often seek Universes in dire need of ordering and offer assistance, slowly assimilating them in small increments at a time.

The Lienzium
pantheon.jpg
There are a vast number of Chaotic Universes, some that appear surprisingly well Ordered despite their alignment. But none are as close to True Chaos as Ephitie, the Home Universe of the Lienzium. Ephitie is actually home to a large variety of races, both sentient and non-sentient.

The Lienzium are not a race, they are a Pantheon. The Deities of Ephitie spent many, many centuries battling among each other, using their Chosen, beings of great strength that they blessed. These battles would have continued had it not been for a young Mage who had tapped into spatial magic, unlocking the doorway into the Multiverse.

Naturally, the Deities attempted to move their power to more universes as a Deity is dependent on those who worship them. However, they were stopped by the Notr, who seemed to have power rivaling Deities. Instead, the Deities formed the Lienzium, a pantheon of supreme beings that worked to strengthen themselves through Chosen from new universes.

For them, it is simply a fun game to pass the time. On occasion they'll run into the Deities of other Chaotic Universe, some get added to Lienzium and some are destroyed.

As for the "Mortals" of Ephitie, many are Survival of the Fittest beings, using their own strength to carve out their destinies. Those who became ambassadors for the Lienzium see it as a challenge of their strength.

Deities
Deities are not beings who create an aspect, they are but a representation of that Aspects power. They came into existence at the beginning of their Universe, after it's laws were formed. They represent all the power of their Aspect and can pass some of that power onto "Mortals" changing them into the Chosen, their champions.

Deities will often die in battles among each other and a Deity of similar Aspect can take over their role. If an Aspect is left vacant for a long enough time, a new Deity is formed.

A Deity's strength is dependent on the amount of "Mortals" who follow them and some Deities will vanish completely should they stop being worshiped.

In vary small cases, yet not unheard of in a Chaotic Universe, a "Mortal" will gain enough power and fame to become a Deity, acknowledged by the Consciousness of the Universe to be a governing force in it.

The Notr
505e55bfbe17398fa8b02a57d929ca14.jpg

The Nexus as an entire universe only has one Race. They are the Notr, a neutral race of exceptional intelligence and gifts. They have a natural inclination towards both magic and science. Their true gifts come from their neutrality. They have the power of Balance, capable of balancing out any unnatural change to their own universe. They are one of the three oldest beings in all the Multiverse. They are Androgynous, both genders at the same time as well. Across their entire universe are many specially designed Stations, capable of supporting any race from any universe. These Stations often change to suit the various beings of every universe.

The various universes often keep at least one Ambassador in the various Stations to facilitate casual relationships with newcomers, trying to get the more neutral based Universes on their sides. Those who are closer to the Nexus often have an affinity for both Order and Chaos, giving them operatives in enemy territory.

Incompatibility
Magic and Science don't mesh well. Those from the various universes have tried to combine these concepts, yet the power ended up causing massive amounts of destruction and death. One universe was completely vaporized.

Magic means to alter the universe to your preconceptions, to bend it to your will. Science is to take the laws of the universe and use them to your advantage.

To combine a magical weapon with the augments of science will do one of two things. The Scientific aspect will force he magic to fail in a variety of ways, mainly destruction, as it attempts to act in the way it's universe's laws allow it to act. When it is affected by a change in laws, many devices will rapidly fail.

The Magic Aspect will attempt to change the laws of the scientific aspect. To use magic on the aspect of a different universe will cause unpredictable and often destructive results. Magic intended to burn will instead freeze, and vice versa.

Those who succeed in forcing Magic and Science to work are often driven to insanity due to the conflicting laws or are turned into abominations by the twisting power of magic.

The Universes

There are nearly an infinite number of Universes, from the closest Order to the closest Chaos. These universes often have many different life forms who live lives completely ignorant of the fact that there is an ever-present Multiverse. Some are aware of it, but cannot prove it, while others are completely aware of it, yet not ready to take a step into the Multiverse.

Updated Universes
Allvien
Name: Allvien

Universal Alignment: Chaotic

Species: The Dominant Species of Allvien are a humanoid species known as the Emile. They are the dominant species on their home planet. Because of the nature of their universe, and the nature of their Deities, their planet is the only one in the Universe that has sentient life at the moment. However, the planet is large enough to contain many other species.

The Emile are the most dominant because they are the largest in population. The Emile are magical beings, however, their magical ability is not unlocked until their eighteenth birthday. On this day, they fall into a meditative state and commune with their spirit animal. During this process, they awaken the magic within their body and fuse with said spirit animal.

After this process, the Emile undergoing this event will take on various animal traits, from simple traits such as ears or a tail to large traits such as scaled skin, fur, facial changes. These traits will often replace the current traits they have. Normal ears will vanish and be replaced with the animal traits.

Once changed, the Emile gain the ability to use magic, generally similar to the attribute their animal represents. Speed based animals will give growth to speed based magic. Some magic is elemental in nature, some magic is purely physical, some magic is specific to genders as well.

The Emile are the only race capable of such diverse change. The other races of this world are limited to specific aspects of the world or their Deities. The Kiln are a race of Golems capable of controlling Earth Magic whereas the Sylph are Nature Magic wielding Elven creatures.

From the Avie that control water to the Bein that have berserker like magic, Allvien has a diverse population of races. Due to their connection to the elements, nearly all the races in Allvien live an upwards of two to three hundred years.

Advancement: Allvien is not very advanced, still in the period of life similar to Medieval Times. While their magic is quite advanced due to study, their civilization isn't as advanced.

Other: The Deities of Allvien long ago discovered the secret to Multiverse travel, however, they agreed that the people of Allvien weren't ready, nor were they strong enough to handle what the Multiverse entailed.

Because of this, they created the Spirit Animals and their counterparts the Demons. The Spirit Animals were meant to find a special host and give their power to that person in order to defeat the Demon and he Demon would hunt down the Spirit Animal's host. The Spirit Animal could find a host in any race on Allvien.

Because of the Spirit Animal's presence though, the Emile eventually developed their own Spiritual Animals that allowed them to get similar traits as the real things.

When an Emile consumes a Spirit Animal, it naturally overrides their own Animal.

However, the Emile had found out the connection between the Demons and the Animals and devised a way to postpone the attacks.

Because the Emile stopped the demons without killing them, the Multiverse stayed closed off to them. Until Ozem came.

Monstrailum

Name: Monstrailium

Universal Alignment: Order (though it has the seasonings of Chaotic)

Species: The dominant race of Monstrailium is Human. Ironically, they are stronger than Monsters. Humans are generally a curious race and usually limit themselves. They aren't magical, but they use science. They have created robots and scientifically solved any problem. Everything they do would be considered as science.

Monsters are another race of Monstrailium. Though they are weaker than humans, they make it up for their trickiness. Ghosts, skeletons, vampires, werewolves, blobs, zombies, are examples of the Monster race. They are magical; their abilities as monsters would be considered as magic. Example: Ghosts are able to haunt and curse humans or other monsters.

Advancement: Monstrailium is pretty scientifically advanced. Most cities are a sci-fi setting, including Monster cities. Monstrailium is advanced in science, not as much in magic though.

Other: Monsters are usually what you can guess from classic horror films.

U342-13

Name: U342-13

Universal Alignment: 90% aligned with Ordered. Very little observable or recognized chaos.

Species: Jun are the dominant species having been born from experiments in millennia past which saw the merging of the Jarra, a warm blooded species which prided itself on their intelligence and science, and the cold blooded Undal, who were fierce fighters and skilled in the magic of nature.

Jun culture is one of unity and consistency, all denizens working towards the same common goal of peace under the control of the cerebral network. The cerebral network was the ultimate creation, leading to near perfect analysis of each individual leading specialized training for their purpose within society. The establishment of this system led to idyllic harmony and happiness.

Both Jarra and Undal are thought to be extinct having been deliberately bred out by the ruling class of Jun.

The Jarra were a bipedal mammalian species, tall and slender, looking much like a human with high intelligence. Dark skinned and covered in a dense hair, they were not particularly physical but were very inventive, able to build vast manufacturing factories which created wealth and control of the lower classes. It is understood that the Jarra initiated the chimera project though the details are scarce but unquestioned.

The Undal were a four legged cold blooded species who tended to mobilize on two legs but only due to social convention enforced on them by the Jarra. They were a violent people with a long tail and a magical prowess imbued on them by their deity Sahl, the giver of strength and power. The worship of Sahl was driven underground as was the use of magic which was largely limited to parlor tricks to entertain.

Advancement: Highly advanced. Their science has advanced to levels where automated education is provided to all civilians based on aptitude tests which fulfill all roles within society. A historical acknowledgement of magic exists but is not practiced once the cerebral training has been completed and is only demonstrated accidentally among youth.
