The Mortal Gods
"So this is what mortality is like..."

Nobody knows how or why, but the major gods of Greek mythology have been turned into mortals. Their major symbols of power have been stolen, and thus, their divine powers have been as well. Now, in their helpless forms, they're forced to survive in the modern world, with the occasional monster coming after them in their weakened state. The minor gods of Olympus can only do so much to reverse the chaos, but without their sacred symbols, the gods can't do much of anything. So they have no choice.

They must ask their children for help.

Their demigod children, while normally scattered throughout the world, happen to be concentrated in one specific area in the United States, as if they also sensed the imminent danger approaching the world. Hopefully, with their help, the gods will be able to reclaim their former glory, before they're erased forever.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a normal day on Mount Olympus....that is, if any day in the realm of the gods could be considered "normal." Many of the gods, major and minor, were mingling about in the courtyard of the palace and enjoying their time together, as they were usually busy ruling over their various realms on Earth. Zeus and Hera sat at one end in their designated thrones, observing all with a watchful eye, with Zeus's being perhaps a little too watchful. His brother Hades was taking quite the scolding from Demeter, who was desperate to know how her daughter was faring in the Underworld. Poseidon, Hermes, and Dionysus were having a grand old time, while Athena and Hephaestus hung back, doing their own thing. Naturally, Aphrodite and Ares were flirting and the twins were arguing, but it wasn't like this didn't happen often. The dysfunctional Olympus family was going through their natural processes of life.
That is, until the floor fell out from beneath them.
The minor gods watched in shock and horror as one by one, the gods fell through the floor of the courtyard in the palace on Olympus. Just before the gods fell through, however, they couldn't help but notice that the godly glow that normally radiated from their skin was gone. What could that possibly mean? Had the gods been turned...mortal? Is that why Olympus was rejecting them? The gods themselves thus fell through the air, now fully mortal and missing the one thing that proved them otherwise. Their symbols of power.
Someone had stolen them.
~~~

Meanwhile, the gods' children were, for one reason or another, in New York City. No matter where they were, they all got the same strange feeling: their godly parent was in trouble, and that they had to find them. Almost as if drawn by some tether, they all began to head toward a lonely little hilltop outside of the city, where they would find their parents, turned mortal by unfortunate circumstance....

Zeus moaned. It really was quite the fall, falling from Olympus and all. He soon felt his head and soon felt it wasn't hurt. His body ached but overall, the fall hadn't been too bad on his body. As he recomposed himself, he looked around. "This isn't right," Zeus thought to himself as he looked around. It was a hilltop, in the middle of... New York? "By the Gods," he thought to himself "I need to get out of here and find Thalia, tell her what happened,". However, he soon turned to see the rest of the gods, down on the ground. "No," he thought in disbelief. He ran over to them but the first one he ran to was Hera. "Please don't be dead," he thought panicked "Please don't be dead!". He ran over to her body and held her hand, hoping she was alive

Decthalia grew up with only one parent. Her mother never spoke of who her father was, but later on in the years when she was about 10 years old she asked her mother who her father was. Decthalia had never seen such tears flow from her mother's eyes then that day. Her mother lashed out at her and told her never to speak of him again. Was he that bad? How can I learn to love him as a father when he's hurt, my mother. Decthalia grew up to having a dislike for the man, but she never did know why her mother disliked him so much.

One day Decthalia decided to take a trip to the mountains for a hike. Her mother was at work and wouldn't be back until late at night. She knew this would be a perfect time to go out and hike, and plus she felt an urge inside of her telling her that something was up. Her mother didn't like her going out. There were always crazy events that have been happening to Decthalia that include monsters chasing her, she didn't know why but she was always prepared to take'em out. The sky was dark and gloomy and gave a rather depressing atmosphere and not to mention how the trees were swaying slowly when the cool breeze would blow. There was a loud strike of thunder and from the sky, a huge ball of light fell a mile away from her. It blew away a few trees and sent a strong gust of the wind towards Decthalia which knocked her over on the ground.

Being the curious little bud that she is, she got up and walked over to where the crash was. As she walked, she patted the dirt off of her jeans and white shirt. When she appeared on the scene of the crash, she saw a group of people all scattered on the ground, they looked to be unconscious for a moment but she saw a man crawling over to a woman who was laying down on the ground. She soon realized that it was her father, Zeus. Decthalia walked over to him and the woman who laid in his arms and she stood a reasonable distance from them, "She's not dead." She said to him.Considering the look on his face, the panicked expression said enough that it was Hera that was laying in front of her. "Let me-" She stopped herself for a moment before taking another step towards Hera. For some reason Decthalia couldn't find it inside of her to approach the woman but she couldn't just let her lay there and besides her father looked very worried.

She crouched down and brought her brown backpack around and began looking inside, luckily she had taken her herbal remedies with her so she pulled out a small cosmetic clear pouch and pulled out a small bottle and handed it to Zeus. "Here...give her this," she tells him as she zipped her backup up and held the small clear pouch in her hand and looked around. There seemed to be someone else who awoke, she was beautiful. Decthalia slowly walked over to her,"Are you hurt?" She said in a kind and soothing voice to the woman who had just screamed.

Seth had taken a trip to NYC on a whim with his sister, who oddly had also a similar feeling, though seemed to be hyping it up to a different level he did. At least that's how he interpreted it, frankly he didn't care much of what her interpretation was, taking far more interest in the fact that she had the same feeling independent of his own. His mind wandered as he left the train and flipped his trench coat to better cover his neck, feeling the air against his skin. Finding far better solitude and ease when the weather was next to non-existent, he decided to wander and see what maybe would catch his interest. "You get lost and I'm not looking for you, you have a phone. If i have the police asking for me I'll tell them you're a crack dealer." He said in a dark sarcastic manner as he confidently began walking, his hands in his coat pockets and his broad shoulders spread out in a posture that had full trust in his presence. Of course that was after he put on his black leather gloves, no person could look methodical without the black gloves.

tumblr_mcz4gadgrk1rtzlzf.gif
Falling from grace...that was one thing the goddess hadn't expected – to be at the pinnacle and then have it all ripped from you. As she fell, her fiery hair would fade, the silken dress would shred and fray, and her glowing godlike skin flicker like a light; she was in as much shock and horror as the minor gods were! Her first thoughts were on Hephaestus, surprisingly…and then on Ares…until her body crashed into the ground. Her form would rise from the crater her body had created, it seemed as though the last of her godly powers were leaving her like the heat meteor cooled by its rocky tomb. Her hair was a frizzy mess, dirt and leaves sticking to her once glorious mane. Hazel eyes search the other craters to see who was among the first to recover…Zeus was the first – and of course, he was by Hera’s side with a concerned, almost panicked look on his face.

Needless to say the goddess was pissed, as she clumsily steps out of the crater she would swat away the smoke and dust that had rose up in the wake of the crash. Her eyes were narrowed and watering as the particles enter her eyes. The goddess was pissed off. Her tattered and once-beautiful dress was in ruins and her hair was a bird’s nest! “What in the Underworld just happened?!” she practically screamed at the top of her lungs, her shrill voice rolling down the hillside. Aphrodite would groan loudly in frustration, throwing her hands up and casting her gaze to the sky. There was a massive hole in the clouds where they had unwillingly descended.

God Form: Hera | Scenario: Falling From Grace | Location: Hilltop in New York | With: Zeus Ghost Toast Ghost Toast | Mentions: | Outfit:

Hera had to admit that as far as family gatherings go, this one was going exceptionally well. No one had started a fight yet or threatened to smite the mortals in retaliation for something one of the others had done, like 'borrowing' a lip gloss. She watched as the others interacted and a small smile spread across her face as she surveyed and fanned herself with a peacock feather fan. She had just turned to her husband to comment on how docile everyone was today when she suddenly found herself falling and draining of her power. It was as though the life was being sucked out of her. She screamed as she realised she was plummeting to Earth, closing her eyes.

Fear was not something she should have felt. She was a goddess and would not die. Except, she did not have her crown, her godly symbol. Without it, she was no more than a mere mortal. Bracing herself for the landing, she tried to remain calm, but her vision and consciousness faded to black before she hit the ground.

........

When Hera finally opened her eyes, the first thing she felt was pain. Sharp shooting pain that she simply had never felt before. It took her by surprise and she cried out as she tried to move. The first thing she saw was a familiar pair of eyes. The eyes of her husband Zeus.
"Zeus...What happened?" she said dazedly, her vision becoming clearer by the second.

Zeus's eyes widened when he saw Decthalia. "Thalia!" Zeus exclamed "How in the Under- Never mind, just give me that,". He then grabbed the remedy out of Thalia's hands. Zeus always tried not to be so rude and snatch something that quick out of someone's hands now but this was an emergency. He began to apply it and said "Shh, my love, it's fine. I'm here, we're going to get you better,". He then turned to Thalia and said "Thank you, Thalia,". He then turned back to nurse Hera

Apollo
The fall had been a long descent downwards, the sound of the wind rushing up at him filling his ears. So much so, he couldn't hear anything. Whether he could turn his head to look around was unknown for Apollo's eyes were trained on the sky above, watching as he fell further and further away from Olympus. But why? Such a question was left answered, for no one could really know.

Then, the collusion with the earth beneath was greeted by a painful thud and a gasped out groan. Apollo had lost consciousness. With the additional probability of being left with a few injuries to his now mortal body. In this state, Apollo was far from his magnificence he had been. His shine had been robbed and now he was only a mere mortal, with dirt smudging his skins and reducing his clothes to nothing but tattered, dirty cloth.

Perhaps a few minutes had passed, or an hour, or even a few hours before Apollo's eyes finally flickered slowly open. The uncomfortable feeling and unfamiliarity of pain left Apollo groan and turning on his side. He wrapped his arms around himself as to shield himself for anything else. Certainly, Apollo did not like this new feeling at all. Staying in the position for a few minutes, Apollo eventually uncoiled as the pain began to dim. It was then, as he propped himself up on his elbows to look around, that he saw the others gods here as well. All unconscious.

"Odd," Apollo would mumbled to himself, laying back down on his back to look at the sky again, seeing it more dark than before. As if a storm was on it's way and the strange hole in a cloud where they had fell. "This can't be good," at that obvious observation, Apollo frowned.

As he continued to lay there, not quite knowing what to do now without the other gods, he kept looking upwards as the loud rustling of the nearby trees swaying back and fourth in strong winds.

It was only when a shout rang out, that Apollo flinched and quickly sat up to see a very pissed off looking Aphrodite.

Decthalia left the bottle on the floor close to the woman (Aphrodite), so that she can take a sip just to get her strength up considering the fact that she had just fell from the ground. Decthalia walked back to her father and she ran her hand through her hair and stared down at him," I told you before that she's still alive." She said a bit aggressively. Decthalia hated how her father had snatched the bottle from her earlier, she hated it. Decthalia gasped silently to herself when she saw the woman that was named Hera wake up. Decthalia didn't know what to think of this women, yes her skin looked fair and her hair still had that glow and her face resembled a young girl but Decthalia still wasn't sure about her. "So you're Hera?" She blurted out quietly as the words slipped from her plump lips.

Decthalia felt rude since she didn't introduce herself to Hera properly, and plus what she said was very inappropriate to call her by her first name, let alone blurt something like that out. "My apologies, my name is Decthalia Storme." She said as she hesitantly decided in her head whether or not to shake hands with this woman. Decthalia did so anyways and reached her hand out when she walked closer to the two so that Hera could possibly take her hand.

Nova was not a fan of anything unplanned. It came as no surprise: being the perfectionist she was, she needed every little detail to be sorted out. She usually went through all the possible outcomes before deciding on something. This helped her prepare for any unexpected turns, while also giving her control over the situation, one thing she loved to have. So, it was rather unpredictable for her to be walking towards an unknown hilltop in the middle of freaking New York. If there was actually a reason why she was doing it in the first place, then maybe she wouldn't be as annoyed with herself as she was. But alas, the only justification she had was a strange feeling. That was it. Not even a premonitory dream, which would have been far more interesting. Not even an anonymous letter. Nope. Just a plain, old feeling. Which had led her to a hilltop she had never seen in her life. Awesome, Nova, way to go.

Tangled as she was in an intense personal battle, she almost didn't feel the air rushing around her. Finally, it was the loud, hollow sound that made her stop. Instinctively, she put her arms in front of her face and closed her eyes, hoping to protect them from any falling debris. But none came. There was only silence. At first, she thought it must have been a plane crush. But a quick look around the place negated the thesis: there was no wreckage and no smoke. Looking at up the sky, she made note of the massive hole in the clouds. Surely, something must have fallen, she just didn't know what. Or why. Biting her lower lip, she decided the information provided was not enough to formulate a complete answer, and decided to keep walking in order to find more evidence and pierce together the mystery of the fallen object. She briefly toyed with the possibility of it being a hallucination, but quickly decided against it, seeing as she was not under the effect of any drugs and had never been victim to a hallucination before.

Whatever she expected to find was probably really far away from the sight that greeted her as soon as she reached the hilltop. There were people, lots of them. Some were lying down, apparently unconscious. Others were just waking up from their slumber, with confusion written all over their faces. There were also a few more helping out, who probably had just arrived, as surprised as she was. Nova decided not to approach any of them, instead circling the place, looking at those who still hadn't opened their eyes. They all had familiar faces. The redhead was sure she had not met them before, but there was something in them, in the weird way they had landed, that made her wonder. And that's when she came upon her. She almost seemed to be trapped in a peaceful dream. Nova tried to rationalize her thoughts, there was no way she was there, unconscious. There was no way a coincidence like this could happen. But there was no mistaking it. It was her mother.

She felt her whole body shake violently. Suddenly, she started breathing erratically. Nova was good at plans, she was good at strategies, she was good at logic. But she was not good at feelings, not good at resentment. It almost felt like being a little girl again. Was she gonna ask her mother why she had abandoned her all those years ago, and left her with a father who didn't even know if he wanted to be one in the first place? No way. If they were going to have a conversation, it was going to be a mature one. After all, she was almost a legal adult. Her mother had effectively lost the most important part of her daughter's life. There was no taking it back. Whatever bond they could have had, it was now broken. She tiptoed to her, afraid that if she made the slightest sound, the unknown (but, oh, so well known) woman would open her eyes and recognize her. Did she want that? She could not be sure. The closer she got, the more she could see little pieces of herself reflected on her mother's face.

“Mother”, she said, a mix of question and affirmation. The word felt weird in her mouth, so she spit it out, hoping to never pronounce it again.

Artemis - Mother of the Gods What Did You Do Now Hera???

"I will be back soon, there is a meeting at Olympus, Hera's little family reunions, you know I mist attend them," she placed a warm hand on her closest friend, Reigna, a girl born in Africa about 500 years ago.

"It's fine, I will take care of us, be safe my lady,"

-

The Goddess shot up right as she awoke from the short unconsciousness that had beseiged her. "Reigna," Artemis rubbed her temples as she stumbled upright, looking at the crater around her. Her arms felt heavy, her whole body did and she suddenly realised the feeling of being...mortal...

Shaking it off, the Huntress knew she'd have to get on with it, she did not scream, pull a face but simply stood up and surveyed everyone else before her cool eyes landed on her twin: Apollo.

"Hello Brother," she said calmly before turning to her father and Hera. "Father, Hera," the archer sighed before seeing Zeus's daughter and Athena's...Athena?

Artemis wandered to the girl's side and placed a hand upon her shoulder. "She will wake soon child," Artemis put Athena's lap on her legs as she sat down, acting as a pillow, then she checked her pulse. Yes she was a Goddess but she'd learned all sorts of mortal things, now guess who'd need her more than anything?

C Clio Aukanai Aukanai

Ares - Oh For Fucksake I was Trying To Do Something!

Ares only remembered her face, the face of Aphrodite as he fell, mortal and powerless...she to, falling beside him. Then the ground reached them, or did they reach the ground? His head spun as the man adjusted to his surroundings and climbed out of his own equally large crater. "Aphrodite?" He questioned as he practically scrambled to her, Ares stood up in all his glory, his mortal body was pretty gorgeous but he was also in a state of tatters. "Hello love," he leant forward taking her hands before reaching round and hugging the tattered woman before him. She was still beautiful just as ever. The God of War pulled backwards and looked at everyone else, he could feel pain, confusion, it was still there, faint as it was but the air was laced with it.

"WHO DARE STRIP ME!? I WILL GRAB THEIR NECKS AND DESTROY THEM, THEY WILL ROT AND I WILL ENJOY THEIR DEATH," he growled out as he wanted to punch something, kill something. He was one angry child.

'MY SPEAR! WHO DARE DEFY THE GREAT ARES!" he growled out as he looked at his father and his father's wife Hera. "Hera," he calmed down a little seeing his mother.

Griffin Rosen Sphear
The roar of traffic rolling by hindered his hearing as he had his phone to his ear. A call from his brother back at home.

Griffin sighed softly, standing on the side of the road as he kept his eyes trained on the red signal. Perhaps his travels from home to New York City to see old friends for a few days had already tired the blonde out. A small suitcase sat next to him, his hand firmly wrapped around the black handle, and a backpack strung on his back. Most probably his clothes and other items for his stay in New York.

"I don't remember saying you could come," Griffin grumbled to the person on the other end of the phone line, rolling his eyes. "I'm fine on my own, it's only a few days."

The signal flashed green then and Griffin moved forwards to cross the road to the other side. He was heading towards the hotel he had booked at. Certainly, he did not wish to spend much more time walking around. The idea of lazing on a comfy bed sounded absolutely delightful. So, on his merry way he went, eventually getting to his desired destination and looking up at the large building.

Not too fancy and not too shabby. Griffin's lips curved into a pleased grin.

However, something else very quickly tugged his attention elsewhere. And, without reason or explanation, Griffin found himself looking over his shoulder. Gaze fixed on a hill somewhere in the distance, as if he had heard something coming from there, or seen something. A sick feeling set in, but Griffin merely dismissed it as him being hungry.

Yet, even after Griffin had checked into the hotel and found something to eat, the unsettling feeling had set. It was beginning to annoying him, preventing him from relaxing as he laid on the bed. Hence, Griffin ended up deciding to go for a walk around the town, regardless if he still did feel tired.

Headphones in, as Griffin strolled as his own slow pace, looking around before gluing his eyes onto the screen of his phone as he began texting his brother and his friends - who he was going to meet up with tomorrow.

Then he looked up.

A bus drove by, before Griffin could see what was on the other side. The hill. Griffin blinked, then looked behind him to see how far he had come. That far..already? Nonetheless, Griffin continued onward, ascending the hill and finally getting to the top to see something he most certainly had not been expecting.

"What the fuck?"

A group of people, some unconscious some conscious. For the least part, Griffin could tell there was something odd about most of them but couldn't seem to find the word to describe it.

Regardless of that, Griffin sighed and began to turn. Perhaps it was then that his eye had caught the sight of a girl (Nova), approaching an unconscious woman with what Griffin could only see as caution. For a few moments more, Griffin watched her before he turned away again and began to leave. It wasn't any of his business being here. Merely injured and sick people here, but it would seem that they already had the help they needed. Besides, Griffin simply didn't have the want or care in the world to lend them a hand.

And yet, Griffin wasn't even halfway down the hill when he stopped again.

"What now?" He would mumble, annoyed at himself for not knowing why he stopped.

The sun was high in the sky as the noises of New York echoed all over. To those who weren't used to it, it would most likely cause a lot of headaches. Thankfully, it wasn't the case of for a young man who was getting up to from his comfortable bed and started getting some of his clothes out. He had to go stop at the little garden shop he worked at for only a half hour or so, the owner needed help picking up a small tree putting it in a temporary treepot until the person who wanted it was able to come by and pick it up. The owner was sweet old lady, so in the mind of the young man, it made sense for her to ask for his help. He didn't mind. After his shower and was half dressed, the young man looked around the room, realizing something, his shirt was still downstairs.

He sighed heavily, hanging his head before shifting through the drawer and found a light gray t-shirt. A relieved look appeared on his face as it started putting on the shirt as he made his way downstairs. The shirt fit perfectly over his muscular frame, in his mouth, he held the brim of his black hat. His dark brown boots made loud thuds on the hard wood stairs, making his way to the dining room. There sat his father, Jackson, and his stepmother, Margret. The young man, named Chronis, scanned the scene with his icy blue hues. Jackson was eating some eggs, a sausage and bacon, Margret was eating oatmeal. "Did I miss something?" Chronis asked in a joking manner. He pulled out a chair and sat down with a smile on his face. "I thought you were off today." Jackson stated with a confused look, Margret arched a brow before looking over towards Chronis.

Chronis looked towards his father and stepmother, he knew those looks. He leaned forward and picked up a bacon from Jackson's plate and ate it. "I don't have a reason to lie, Ms. Jenny called me and asked if I could come in and help her with a small tree, no big deal." He assured is father, waving the piece of bacon in the air. "I think we might need to talk to him about the birds and the bees." "Wait what?" "You're right hun, Chronis, I do believe it is time for us to have that talk. If you are going to see a girl, or a boy, it's ok, you can say that." Jackson waving his hand in front of him. A smile shown on his face, Chronis placed a hand on his face and sighed. "We are not having this conversation." "What are you so nervous about, surely you can tell us something." "The truth shal set you free." Jackson sung before he laughed, Chronis rolled his eyes as he chuckled. Mouthing the words 'Oh my god' before looking at the time. He stood up quickly before grabbing his black hat and placed it on his head. "Ok, you two can do whatever it is you two do. I'm heading to the flower shop." Chronis said hugging Jackson and Margret before leaving quickly.

He joined the rest of the crowd to get on the bus and made it to the busy streets of New York City. He jogged the rest of the way to the flower shop, taking some alleyways so he didn't bum into anyone. After a while, he made it to the shop and immediately went to work. An thirty to forty-five minutes passed and the tree was in the pot. Ms. Jenny bid Chronis farewell before going back to work. Chronis nodded once before turning around and made his way to the park. But something was pulling him away from it. He was getting that feeling, a very strange yet familiar feeling. "What?" He mumbled before following the feeling. He ran is way towards the small hilltops. He continued feeling the pulling towards the hilltops and he climbed. Of course, it was easy to do that sincehe may or may not have cheated a bit. He was tired from all the running, so why not cheat a little.

Once he was at the top, he heard talking, while it was low, people were still here. Nonetheless, he was being pulled here. He scanned the area, trying to figure out what was going on and whythere were people here, passed out and such. He felt the tug even more, he looked around slowly and started walking in the direction of the tugging.

Hephaestus definitely could not say this was much of a surprise. Sure, falling through the floor of Olympus itself was a tad shocking, but the falling itself? Certainly not. After all, the memory of being thrown from the mountain that was supposed to be his home was still painfully engraved into his mind. He doubted he'd ever forget it, no matter how many centuries passed. It was no wonder he spent more time in his forges instead of at home. It was no wonder Aphrodite hated him so much. By now, he was used to it, though he certainly wished he could tell her how much she still meant to him.

Tears unwittingly streamed from his eyes as he stared at his useless legs and his scarred arms. Despite having grown out of the usual ugliness he'd been associated with for a millennia, he still felt ugly, both inside and out. He'd done his fair share of terrible things, like humiliating his wife and brother in front of everyone and attempting to attack Athena... Gods, what was wrong with him? It was only natural he was the least popular of the gods. No amount of reassurance could convince him otherwise.

His session of self-loathing was interrupted when he noticed his divine glow fading away. That was new. Hm, maybe he was mortal now? He'd wanted escape from his crappy life on Olympus, sure, but this was not what he asked for. His eyes fluttered closed despite his protests, and he knew nothing but blackness for a while. When he came to, he was lying on some grass, which had depressed to form a sort of crater around him. He'd just fallen off Olympus, and this was the only impact he could create? He really was lame.

Sitting up and rubbing his head, Hephaestus noticed Aphrodite storming around and screaming. She must not have been taking this well. He would have gone to comfort her, but Ares was already on it. Not to mention, anything he said probably wouldn't have been very helpful or comforting. Sigh. Maybe next time. Or never. Whichever came last. But never mind that, how was his mother taking this? Last time, he'd been the only victim, but now his family was involved! Hera must've been shocked to the core! It wasn't often she descended to the mortal realm...or suffered in any way at all, really. There was only that one time, but no one liked to talk about it.

Looking out at the horizon, he wondered how the world would fare without them all. They presided over many different aspects of this earth... He couldn't imagine how well it'd go on without them. Hopefully the minor gods would be able to keep it together until they could restore their godly powers and return to Olympus. Speaking of which, how exactly had this happened? What force was powerful enough to steal the god from a god?

The answer came in the form of an empty feeling in his chest. He wasn't used to that feeling. It could only mean that...someone had stolen his hammer. Dammit! Of course that was it! He'd put aside the sword he'd been working on to join the family gathering, leaving his hammer on his workbench! What an idiot he was! But then...who had stolen it?

Who hated all the gods so much that they'd strip them of their divinity?

Demeter hadn't been bothering her brother Hades too much...just making sure that Persephone was getting enough to eat and taking walks outside their palace every now and then. It wasn't that she didn't trust her brother, but...well, she didn't really trust any of her brothers. They tended to ignore the opinions of her and the other goddesses and their feelings as well. Either that or she especially was really annoying about her daughter. Yeah. That was probably it.

The fall was a bit unexpected, though Demeter couldn't say she was surprised. This had to be some prank by Zeus or Hermes to keep things interesting. But then...why was everyone else with her? And why were the glows around their bodies fading? What was going on here? Before she could ask any more questions mentally, she fell unconscious. The minute she woke, she sprang to her feet, ready to punch her kidnappers--

Oh. It was just a hill. That was a relief. She'd thought something much worse. Glancing all around her, she saw that the other Olympians were strewn all over the grass, some in craters while others had just suffered a minor impact. Demeter herself had flattened a patch of grass. Looking down, she realized she was in the clothes she normally wore when she visited the earth to check on nature. Odd. Where had her chiton gone? More importantly, why were all of them here?

A sudden aching pain hit her hard in the chest, and she nearly doubled over. Breathing hard, she realized that she was unable to unconsciously summon her staff or talk to the plants around her. This could only mean that her precious lotus staff had been stolen. Stealing the symbol of a god's power was akin to stripping them of their divinity. So that had happened to all of them, then, if they were all here right now. That was juuuuuust great.

Another feeling made itself known in her chest before she could fully register the fact that she was mortal. It was a familiar feeling, like the familial connection she had to her daughter. But how could that be? She probably had no idea about what had happened to them. Who was it, then? Turning in the direction of the tug, she raised her eyes to a distinctly human shape making its way toward her. No, it couldn't be...

"Chronis," she breathed, pressing her hands over her mouth. "My baby boy." She hadn't seen him in eighteen years, since the day he was born, the day she had to leave him and his father behind. Her legs locked and refused to let her move, but she forced them to work. Stumbling toward her demigod son, she felt her eyes well up with tears. Who would have thought that she'd be able to speak to her son, without the restrictions of a goddess? As she neared him, she noted how healthy and strong he looked, how handsome... Oh, how she regretted having to leave him.

As soon as she reached him, she murmured, "Chronis? Is that you?" Her eyes searched his, desperate to know if this was indeed the son she had missed with all her heart.

Lily Elmerick
Daughter of Apollo

Scenario: Are You My Dad? II Mood: Confused II Location: Hotel Room > The Hilltop II With: Apollo Aukanai Aukanai II Mentions: Everyone on the Hill II Outfit: This

Aunt Ashley had brought Lily and Calla to New York for a much needed vacation. After weeks of coming home exhausted from being chased by monsters, her adoptive mother had decided that they all needed a break from it all. The most difficult part by far was sneaking Calla into the hotel, but considering how tame and small she was, it wasn't that much of a hassle. Now, she sat on one of the two beds, fiddling around on her laptop and petting her kitten. Aunt Ashley was in the small kitchen near the door making breakfast for the three of them.

All of a sudden, a strange feeling hit Lily like lightning. She shut her laptop and leaped off the bed, ignoring Calla's mewl of protest. Grabbing her archery equipment and slipping on her coat, she began to pack a small backpack of stuff. Aunt Ashley watched this all with concern. "Where are you going, Lily? We were just about to have break--" She was interrupted by a sharp look from the girl, which told her all she needed to know. Sighing, her aunt acquiesced, "Please come back safe." Lily nodded and slung the pack over her shoulder. Calla meowed loudly to get her attention, and she gently placed her in the pocket of her coat. Hugging her "mother," she hurried out the door.

Once on the street, Lily followed the feeling in her chest. She was on foot, so it took a while, but her urgency didn't falter. Calla stayed still inside her pocket, thankfully, so that was one less worry in her mind. Even so, she couldn't shake the feeling that this had something to do with the divine half of her heritage--the one that apparently belonged to Apollo. Until she meet him herself, she doubted she would truly believe her aunt's words. It seemed like those doubts would be shattered today.

Finally, Lily made it to the edge of the city. She was nearing the source of the mysterious tugging (not ticking, unfortunately). Her heart started to beat a bit faster as a mild anxiety took over. What if her father really was out here? What would she say? Would he even accept her? As desperate as she was to know about her mother and bond with her father, what if the father in question didn't want to look at her, much less speak to her? She sorely hoped that wasn't the case.

These thoughts and more raced through her head as she hiked all the way to a hilltop crowded with people. There were some who were still passed out and others who were awake and, well, freaking out. Perhaps this gods thing hadn't been as crazy as she had originally thought. Other teenagers were gathered around the people who had clearly fallen from somewhere. A few looked really concerned about what was going on, while others didn't seem to care all that much.

Lily scanned the faces of everyone gathered, trying to pick out which one was her father. At first, she passed over the feminine-looking man with red hair, thinking that he was far too handsome for her to be his daughter. But the invisible tether in her chest was directed right at him. Approaching him cautiously and seeing that he was awake, Lily hesitated to speak to him. Calla peeked out of her pocket and meowed, leaping out to scamper over to the man. Purring, the kitten rubbed her head against the man's shoulder, which she only did when someone smelled at least a bit like Lily. That meant...he really was her father.

Now even more nervous than before, Lily stammered, "Um...Apollo? I-I mean...Dad? Are you alright?" Crouching beside him, she looked down at him with nothing but pure worry on her face. Please let him be alright, she thought. He's all I have left of my mother.

Athena's last memory before the entirety of her consciousness had flicked to black was the floor of Olympus collapsing as her train of thought flickered through her mind at impressive speeds, immediately working to figure out the reason behind the sudden anomaly. She was, surprisingly enough, emotionally unmoved by the entire bizarre situation, aside from the momentary shock that came along with such an out of the blue event. She had just managed to reason out how such a thing could have happened before blacking out immediately after.

"The Aegis." She blurted out as she awoke with a start, pushing herself upright. Her eyes immediately gazed upon Artemis, who had evidentially placed Athena's legs upon her own. She averted her gaze down toward her own body. Her own, mortal body; one that she had not used for decades. She placed her hand on one of the auburn curls that moved from the side of her head to her torso as if to ascertain that this indeed was not a dream. Realizing she was still half on top of Artemis, she immediately rose, quickly moving off of her lap.

"It seems our divine symbols have been... evacuated in secret in some way." She mused half to her half-sister, half to herself, still too caught up in her own thoughts to notice her demigod child present. "It is necessary that we find some way to recover them and discover the culprit as soon as possible." She murmured out loud, becoming more and more oblivious to her surroundings.

The thought that it would be wise to scan her surroundings surfaced amongst her crowded thoughts only a few moments later, and she did exactly that, finding other gods she recognized sprawled on the ground, some of them obviously displeased by this sudden predicament. There were some present who were unfamiliar to her as well, and with a quick headcount, she found that they obviously weren't gods. Mortals, then? But what could they be possibly doing here? Her sight soon caught wind of the other being next to Artemis, and she stared at the young mortal woman blankly. Something about her looked familiar, yet Athena found herself unable to exactly place her finger on what. A word, a name perhaps, blurred and unrecognizable, appeared in her mind, but she found herself unable to interpret it. N... it started with an N. "Excuse me. I do not believe I have met you before." She stated emotionlessly, puzzled by the new mystery before her.

Dionysus had been having a grand old time, chatting it up with Hermes and Poseidon (the only two who actually had a shot at understanding his humor, really...sometimes) drinking only the best of wine from his goblet. Hell, he had been laughing! It had been quite some time before he had been that jovial. The family was functional, well, as functional as a family of Grecian Gods could get. But things were peaceful there on Olympus.

No one was fighting. Yeah, sure, Hephy was looking all broody in one corner, but that was typical. And the twins were fighting, but what twins didn't have their share of bickering? No, all in all, things were relaxed! It was quite the get-together. That is until the floor literally disintegrated beneath him and he began to fall. He clung to his goblet, hoping that it wouldn't spill.

Eerily, the god of wine and revelry remained calm as he began his descent. He turned his head, catching sight of Poseidon and Hermes as he fell. Suddenly, he felt a strange sensation, as if there was a black pool floating over his eyes. And then? Consciousness was no more.

What seemed like moments later, he gained his hearing back. All was mostly silent until he heard the far away utterances of Zeus. Then, the shrill voice of Aphrodite. Still tolerable. What wasn't tolerable was the gruff shouting of Ares. "Ah! Shut up would you, tough guy? I dunno about anyone else, but I've got a splintering headache, so just shut your trap, yeah? Jesus."

Okay, so it was a bit strange that a Greek God would swear using the name of a Christian God, but yeah. That was his style. he had been with a Catholic woman once, and while she was good with all the sex out of wedlock, she wasn't good wth using God's name in such away. He, for one, found it hilarious, and he did it just to irritate her. And then...well it just kind of stuck.

It was then that he noticed he was in pain. Fuck, that had been quite a fall. But there was something else. Something hard poking into his back.He shifted so that he could get to it, and pulled from beneath him...his golden goblet. Now completely bent out of shape. "Damn it!" He stared at the goblet, a pain in his eyes that was more than a little ridiculous. "Fuck! An authentic Atlantian Gold Goblet and I crush it on my fall from heaven. How fucking poetic! Ugh!" To add on to his mini tantrum, he threw the goblet away from him and it landed not too far from a male with blonde hair that seemed to be walking away from the situation.

But Dionysus didn't see, instead, he laid in his crater and stared up at the sky. Almost as if he could stare at it enough to convince it to suck him back up. But he knew that wouldn't work. That was ridiculous.

Shiloh Crawford
Daughter of Hephaestus
Location: New York City! Scenario: That...that flash of light there! With: Seth PicaPirate PicaPirate Mentions: N/A
New York City! Center of the Universe! Or so it said in that one song featured in RENT. Honestly, Shiloh was pretty excited. She hadn't even been this far awayfrom hom, and the fact that Mom was totally down to let her come....well that was a feat within itself. Hell, she hadn't even been able to come this far to go to college. (She was a robotics major.)

What threw her off, was that Seth was here with her. Usually, her twin took very little interest in her and her desires. But, it seemed he wanted to go just as much as she did. That, she would never argue with. She followed him off the train, her eyes wide and gazing as she took in the city around them. It was pretty. Chrome and steel. Glass and concrete. Electricity pulsed through the air. It was riveting and beautiful!

But the words that her twin uttered next threatened to tear her current mood to shreds. "Aw, Seth. A crack dealer? Like they'd even believe you. I look nothing like one, I have nothing on me, and nothing in my system. You'd just be wasting their time anyway." She immaturely stuck her tongue out at him before looking out over the city.

"Besides. I won't get lost. I hardly ever do. And I don't even have to rely on you. Hell, if I did, I would be fucked. You'd just run off from me anyway." It was then that she went to look at him and caught sight of his back as he was slipping into the crowd.

Suddenly, her eyes caught onto a brilliant flash of light ahead of them. She knew instantly that she wanted to go investigate, so she ran forward and latched onto Seth's arm. "Did you see that? That flash of light just then? Let's go investigate!"

Artemis - Oh Goody! Sister!

Artemis moved out of the way when Athena came about, The Wise One stood up and uttered out the obvious on what had happened and had already begun to formulate plans on what to do. Obviously. "Athena, calm down sister, we will do that in due time but for now our problem is being mortal and waking everyone, being in a pack is better than alone," Artemis laid a hand on the woman's shoulder, comforting her as she looked at Athena's child before her. "Look at her Athena, really look, you'll know it when you see it," Artemis muttered in Athena's ear before turning around to everyone else.

"
Apollo," she whispered seeing his daughter approach his conscious body, luckily her twin was ok and she mived her brown hair out of her face as she stared at everyone's children. "'Tis a shame my hunters cannot be here," Artemis looked up into the sky before staring at their surroundings. Her ability to track, hunt, her ability to be HER would be useful for this group.

But would they all be able to work out?
-

Ares - tshh, I will break you.

Ares turned. No he practically span on Dionysus. "
I don't think you can say much Dionysus, your humour up there was as a dry as the Sahara, don't pretend you weren't trying to throw jokes at the top of your lungs," he growled out, the effect of seeing his mother in pain on the floor rather great. He quietened down nonetheless and instead focused in the woman before him, torn on wanting to go to his mother, or stay with Aphrodite. "Are you ok? Calm down everything's fine, I'll find who have done this and snao their necks for this treachery," Ares embraced his lover in a tight hug, not caring if Hephy was there or not. His symbol was his Spear, and whoever had it was going to pay.

Ares looked at the terror around him, what a strange situation but he knew that no one here was responsible. Whilst he was brash, violent, arrogant at timea, he knew an act of War and a plan to cause pain when he saw one. The thought led him to think of the minor gods, they were fine? So why was the council of Olympus targeted and Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt? Ares then looked around attempting to piece together this war strategy, how unusual? But who had the power to do such a thing? Ares was still angry of course he always was but he'd calmed down a little more for sure.

Seth chuckled at her response while briefly closing his eyes to that he would just bugger off, which was not false by any means at all. He really didn't care much for her. He was also fully aware of the fact that she often went out her way to get the attention of their mother, who seemed to fawn over himself, despite his lack of interest in caring for his own family. While he did not know if his own cold detachment was a bolster to his image, making his splendour pass off as a meagre effort within his capabilities, he wasn't by any means going to reject anyone accepting the position he clearly is deserved of. But let's focus on the splendour that is the light show shall we?
As she had pointed out, there was indeed a brilliant light, to which he spent no time wasting to dawdle, for it caught his attention. What the result turned out to be made his indifferent face of mild curiosity turn into a small grin of even further curiosity and intense amusement. If it wasn't already clear that these were the great Greek deities, that included his father, Ares was going around screaming like a rabid madman his own name along with others. Somehow, it terribly suited the image attached to a war god. It gave him the thought that a goddess such as Enyo must be having a terrible delight in the mess this is causing if her character is much like the mythology too. Either way, this just turned an interesting day to one far exceeding what he had expected. But of course, why dawdle and have them all looking stupid? There were better matters to be getting on with. Like not having this...rabble argue amongst themselves.
But what would be the fun in that? He chuckled and slowly approached the group that seemed to be collecting of others too slowly, though not too closely, and observed their actions, for they were very telling. "It appears that we have some visitors who were long overdue for their next field trip." he calmly commented to Shiloh, who was probably going to go scrabbling for their father. He too was admittedly curious to meet his father, but right now was no time for that.

Aphrodite – The Goddess of Love
After her small fit, Aphrodite would finally remember about the demigod who had been so gracious to check on her. Though she turned to find the young and beautiful woman occupied with her mother. Aphrodite promptly scooped up the bottle that was near her crater and began to drink from it – it was the first time that she actually needed something. Now that she was mortal, she would require food, water, clothes, and shelter...being mortal would no doubt prove to be taxing.

The goddess would feel a pair of hands up on her frustrated frame, her first assumption was Ares and her head would turn to face her now-mortal lover. He tried his best to calm her but his outburst of anger would not help the situation. Aphrodite had finally realized what had happened – the symbol of her power was stolen and this led to her fall. Aphrodite’s power was derived from a magical girdle that she usually wore at all times…well other than during intimate moments; she must have forgotten to reclaim her girdle after being with one of her many lovers. For this to happen to ALL the major gods on Olympus someone, or something, must have extensive knowledge on all of them. This didn’t sit well with Aphy, she felt exposed and vulnerable…even with her lover and husband on earth with her.

Wait, Earth…the mortal realm?! The others hadn’t known about her affair with a mortal – or the son that was spawned from the affair. Her fingers would run through her hair in frustration once more, tears welling up in her eyes. This wasn’t how it was supposed to be…some of the other gods seemed to have their children around them – such an interesting and unique relationships they all have in a way it was almost heart-warming to the former-goddess. Her heart sunk and there was a pit in her stomach as she thought about her own mortal-child…she hadn’t been a part of his life aside from his birth and she felt terrible for it – probably the second most horrible thing she ever did, the first being her affair with Ares.

Ares would once again try to calm her, asking her if she was okay and for a moment the goddess would be filled with anger, pushing the War God away from her. ”No I’m not okay! What, do you think I planned this out like a vacation?!” she recoils from her statement, tears streaming down her cheeks as she steps away from the god beside her and further down the hillside barefoot in her trashed dress. She needed to get away from everyone, just for a moment to catch her breath and sort out her whirlwind of emotions.

For right now, the redhead would wander away from the group, gazing out at the cityscape beyond the small patch of nature that surrounded them. The humans really made impressive homes for themselves…a world filled with wondrous inventions and fabulous trinkets just waiting beyond their landing.

Aphrodite's mind focused on Hephaestus, she was wondering where he had landed in all this...mess. "Hephaestus?..." she calls out, her hazel eyes scanning the greenery that surrounded them.

Chronis watched with both curiosity and confusion as there were some people going about helping those who appeared to have fallen from the sky. It didn't make any sense to him, but the hold in the sky said otherwise, as well as the numerous craters scattered about on the now cratered Earth. 'How did these people survive? Are they really...?' He thought to himself, not really noticing he had been walking in the direction of the tug for a while. He forced himself to stop, the source of the tugging was getting stronger, but he had to collect his thoughts, this was a lot to figure out. People fell out of the sky, but they weren't dead. They were alive...somehow. He was about to see if the others were ok until he felt the tugging sensation pull again, but it wasn't as hard as before. It would be long until he heard a voice, a soft female voice.

He turned his head in the direction of the sound and seen a woman standing there. She looked as if she was about to cry before he could even ask if she was ok or why she was crying, he felt his eyes tear up. 'Why am I about to cry?' He was more confused than before, it wouldn't be long until his mind somehow started to put things together. He reached a shaking hand towards the woman as if on its own, his voice left his throat, but it was broken. The tears fell as he spoke, "M-Mom?" It was the only word to leave his lips. He was more confused than ever, he didn't understand what was going on. How could she be his mother? His mother was dead...at least that was as much as he knew. Was his father telling the truth after all? Here she was standing here, looking as if she was about to cry as well.

He didn't know what to do, his body was so numb as the tears fell. He sniffled before hugging the woman in front of him. His body just crumpled like paper as he held his mother. She was standing right here and she was alive. He just sobbed, he didn't care if anyone who was around heard him. For right now, what was important to him was just hugging his mother.

Decthalia looked over her shoulders and saw that some of the others, who she already connected the dots were gods. She wondered why they were here and not in Olympus, but she knew something happened to make them fall from the sky. Decthalia turned her head back and looked down at Hera and then Zeus, she then saw a man who was next to the two of them call Hera's name. She tilted her head just slightly, Mhmm...he must be Ares, seems like a hothead. She thought to herself as she ran her hand through her hair.Decthalia looked around to observe the following people who were around her. There was a swarm of emotions that was coming in left and right, and frankly all over. It made Decthalia feel overwhelmed. She wondered to herself why they were all here, and from what she could sense she knew they were powerless. They were without a home now, and without any food. These gods had a lot to learn now that they are mortals.

Decthalia turned and looked up at the sky at the dark cloud that had strangely only surrounded the group, it was depressing. She brought her hands up in front of her and slowly waved them across to rid of the clouds. It was a marvelous ability to have and frankly she never let it go to waste. As she tried to remove the cloud, bit by bit they disappeared, it was okay for now. Now the sun light was shining down on them to at least heat them up for the time being. "That's much better," she said before she turned around when she heard a guy yelling. God, what's wrong with these people yelling? She thought to herself as she furrowed her eyebrows. Decthalia knew her mother was going to be out for two weeks because of work. Her mother was in marketing and did a lot of traveling with the company that she works for so she is barely at home, but Decthalia doesn't blame her. She made enough money to support her and her daughter so it was nice.

A stranger's hand placed on her shoulder made her jump. A beautiful young woman stood beside her, far more calm than Nova. She informed her that her mother would wake up soon. They seemed to know each other, judging by the familiarity present in her actions. The stranger calmly but methodically checked her mother's pulse, and the redhead couldn't help but wonder if she was a doctor. It seemed to be the most plausible explanation, but there was something in her green eyes that made her seem wise beyond her years. However, she seemed to be in her mid-twenties. Nova narrowed her eyes. There was something weird going on, something unnatural. It raised too many questions but gave few little answers. She could always put her hand to the ground to try and figure out what had happened, but the hilltop could only give her so much information, and she still wasn't comfortable enough to touch her mother or the pretty woman. Apparently, patience was the key this time.

Thank you”, she said, mostly because she had attempted to comfort her. It was then that she decided to take a look around. In the few minutes that had passed since she had first seen her mother, more people had woken up and more had arrived, too. A blonde boy leaving the scene caught her eye. Nova was sure she had not seen him before, which meant he had arrived after her. So he had seen everything and just decided to leave? Outrageous. She was not one to care for people either, but when they're unconscious in the middle of a fucking crater, taking off was not exactly an option. An unkown female voice made her turn quickly, and she felt her breath caught in her throat. Her mother was awake. She had not noticed her yet, so Nova took the time to analyze her. She had dark hair that cascaded all the way to her waist. Her eyes seemed to be green, and they were now focused on her own body and also her companion, the strange beautiful woman who still didn't have a name.

Her mother spoke again, this time mentioning "divine symbols". Nova had no idea what she meant, and by this point, she didn't care. For a second, she thought about turning around and leaving the place, just like the boy she had seen earlier. She didn't want to deal with this, it reopened a lot of old wounds she thought were closed. She didn't want to feel. However, this soon turned out to be impossible, seeing as her mother was now staring at her. Ah, shit. Here we go. Would she be apologetic, telling her it was all a mistake? Or maybe she would defend her actions? She didn't know which was worse. But then, her mother once again surprised her by asking her name. Her name. Is she serious? She can't be serious. She's not serious. This is a joke.

Nova opened her mouth one, two, three times. For the first time in her life, she was left speechless. The situation was so ridiculous, she suddenly just wanted to laugh. Thankfully, beautiful-calm-stranger saved the day and filled the awkward silence with soothing words meant for Nova's mother. She called her sister, which meant she was her aunt. Maybe she could legally adopt Nova, seeing as her own mother, who had left her in the front door of her father's house as a newborn (emphasis on this, because, what kind of bad mother...?), had forgotten her name. Her name. Nova used to fantasize a reunion, where her mother would tell her how she had always been looking over her, hidden in the shadows. Obviously, that was not the case. “My name is Nova”, she stated, her voice sounding far more calm than her mind. “Oh, we met once, a long time ago. Maybe you remember me as the child you abandoned, but then again, maybe not. Don't worry, I'm not here to ask for all the payments of child support you owe my father, you just happened to, allegedly, fall from the sky just as I reached the hilltop” Her hands were shaking and so she took a deep breath, trying to rationalize her thoughts. This was one hell of a day.
