Realistic or Modern The Marriage. Private with Kingsley

SnowAshe

Commander of the Keepers
Our story starts in the major North Carolina city of Charlotte. An arranged marriage was about to take place between two people who grew up completely different. Where their journey will take them..we shall have to see.

My form:
Name: Snow Ashe
Age:25
Gender: Male
Appearance: Lightly tanned skin, stands about 5'6 or 5'7, long blond-brown hair, dark blue eyes, usually wears an old camo jacket with a black or blue denim shirt underneath, blue jeans, old brown cowboy boots, and a brown cowboy hat. Carries an old revolver as well in a classic-looking gunbelt.
Personality: Loyal, brave, natural-born leader, trustworthy, can be a bit of a wallflower at times though
Nationality: American
Accent: Mixture of Northern and Southern
History: Snow Ashe was born in the Southern US and grew up in a rough household. He had been abused many times throughout his life by his family. He finished high school though and then went to college for a creative writing degree. In his free time, he wrote stories that centered around the life he truly wanted.

My form (sorry it’s kind of long):

Name: Harlow Ashley Grey
Age: 24
Height: 5”6’
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Brunette

Harlow was born in a wealthy family and she was the only baby girl to her parents Heather and Jeffery Grey. Her mother was a clothing designer and her father was the CEO of a clothing company. Her mother worked as the top designer at the company and so together they were a power couple. Harlow was the youngest of two and since she was the only little girl she was spoiled from the day she was born. She had her father wrapped around her little spoiled finger. Designer clothes, shoes and handbags given to her at her very request. Harlow loved fashion and she had always been interesting in the fashion business like her mother. Once she learned she’d actually have to do work to be in her mother’s position she was turned away. Harlow has been waited on her whole entire life and she wasn’t planning on changing any time soon. She also never planned to work a real job a day in her life. Why work a real job when you can have everything done for you. She graduated high school with pretty good grades actually but she wasn’t planning on attending college. She has some friends but they’re all as fake as she is and she’s never had to show her real personality. Does she even have one?

Works for me! I’ll make the first post in a few minutes unless you’d like to start

The day had started out so well too. Snow had been planning on leaving Charlotte, North Carolina to head to a small city in South Carolina by the name of Newberry. But then everything went sideways. Apparently, his parents had decided to go behind his back and arrange a marriage to some spoiled daughter of a big Fashion designers daughter. His parents didn’t want him to move away and be all alone they said. He was beyond mad with them. Somehow though, they convinced him to at least meet the girl. So here he was, waiting for the girl he was supposedly set to marry, at his parents house.

My parents told me this morning we were going on a trip and of course knowing me I had to pack bags full of different outfits, shoes and handbags. I packed about 5 bags even though my parents didn’t tell me how long the trip was I had to pack enough just to be safe. My heels make my presence known as I walk downstairs wearing a pink flowy crop top with high waist shorts and some black heels. I had a pair of Ray Bans on my face and my hair was tied up in a loose ponytail. “I’m ready to go.” I announce to my parents in my bubbly southern accent and I smile happily. My parents give a look to each other before looking at me. “All of your bags are packed in the car already so let’s go.” My mother says and I follow them out to car with the new Kate Spade handbag I got yesterday. It was beautiful and from her new collection.

I climb into the back of the car while my parents were in the front driving and I just play on my phone expecting us to have a long trip to the airport. Unknowing to me we stopped after about 30 minutes of driving and when I look up we are in a very sad looking neighborhood. No mansions in sight and all of these houses look so old. “Where are we?” I asked in confusion and my parents motion for me to climb out of the car. I climb out and I cringe when I see mud covering the grounds. I step over the mud to not ruin my new heels and I follow my parents to the front door of a sad little house. I stand behind them still rather confused as they knock on the door.

Her bags XD

Snow heard the knock on the door and heard his mom yell that she had it. Snow wasn’t dressed fancy or anything. He was wearing his normal every day clothes and had his backpack ready with everything he’d need to leave quickly. His truck’s gas tank was full and he was ready to hit the road.

When the girl walked in he was surprised. She wasn’t what he had expected. She was around the same height as him, with long brunette hair and blue eyes similar to his. She couldn’t have worked a day in her life. His dad walked in as Snow stood up and said “Snow, meet Harlow Ashley Gray.”

My parents escorted me into the house in front of them and I take my sunglasses off as I go inside putting them in my purse. I see a man around my age standing in front of me along with two other adults around my parents age. I was still confused and it was probably shown on my face.

When the older man introduces me to you I give you a pearly white smile and my handbag swings on my arm as I hold my hand out towards you. “Nice to meet you Snow.” After we shake hands I put my hand back down and I turn to my parents obvious of what was happened still. “Can we go now? I want to be on the way to paradise.” My heels click through the house as I walk towards the door and I wait by the door looking around.

Snow looked at his parents and sighed. He knew they wanted this to work. He walked up to the girl and said “I heard you thought you were going on a trip. Did your parents tell you where you were going?” He had a feeling her parents had lied about where they were going.

When you walk over to me I look at you and I can’t help but look you up and down. You were about the same height as me and you were a pretty handsome guy but you didn’t dress like most guys I date. I haven’t had a boyfriend in forever but it didn’t matter I didn’t need a boyfriend. I had everything I already needed in life. I raise an eyebrow when you speak to me. “I don’t know where we’re going but I’m thinking maybe Hawaii or something along those lines. I brought my bikinis and I’m ready for a tan.” I say giggling and I smile at you. “Are you coming with?”

Snow looked back at their parents talking and then back at her and said “I hate to tell you this but you’re not going to Hawaii. They brought you here to meet me. Our parents intend for us to get married.” He couldn’t believe her parents hadn’t told her what was going on. At least his had. Which was more than they usually did.

I hear what you say and I just begin laughing thinking you’re joking. “Yeah okay. I’m not marrying anybody.” I walk past you and I storm over to my parents crossing my arms not caring that I’m interrupting their conversation. “Mother and father we are leaving right now and you’re taking me to Hawaii.” I demand and my parents look back at me with a sign then back at your parents. “Harlow we’re not going to Hawaii and you’re not going to be going on any trips any time soon.” My mother says to me and I look at her bewildered. I don’t say anything else and I quickly storm out of the house without another word. In my storming out I’m not paying attention and I fall over landing straight in a pile of mud in the front yard. I let out a dramatic scream and I sit on the ground. “I want to go home now!”

Snow sighed and grabbed a clean towel that was hanging on the stairs and walked outside. He looked at her and said “Come on. You need to go change and we need to talk. I have a feeling you’re going to want to hear what I have to say.” as he offered her his hand. His eyes tried to show compassion but deep down they had a silent hurt and anger in them caused by years of torment. “Believe me. This isn’t what I want either.”

When you come out of the house with a towel I look at you and you can see the pure annoyance on my face. “There’s nothing to talk about and I’m not going back in that house anymore. I want to go home and pretend like today never happened.” I cross my arms being stubborn but when you held your hand out I did take it because I wanted to stand up. I snatch the towel and I begin wiping my clothes off. My parents are peaking out at me and I glare at them. “Harlow I’d listen to Snow.” My father says and I realize he’s holding the keys to my car in his hand. My eyes widen and I gasp. “You’re taking my car now? What else can you do to ruin my life.” I grumble and I look at you. “Fine we’ll talk but I’m definitely not staying here. I have clothes in the car.” I turn to walk towards the car but my mother calls out my name. “None of your bags are in that car. They’re all back at the house. You’re going to start learning a less or two.”

Snow sighed again. Her parents were definitely fed up with their daughter. His parents had told him as much. He looked at her said “Just..trust me. You’ll be okay. I promise.” Since he had met her he had starting feeling kinda sorry for the girl and knew that her life was going to be much tougher now than it had been in the past.

I roll my eyes when you tell me to trust you and I didn’t know who I could trust right now. My life was getting ripped out underneath of me all of a sudden and I didn’t know what was happening. “Take me somewhere to get cleaned up and changed please.” I tell you as I was walking back to the house and once I get back to you I wait for you to lead me somewhere. I toss my hair over my shoulder and I was avoiding eye contact with everyone around.

Snow led her upstairs to his room and said “Go on inside. I’ll find you some clothes. My sister should have something that can fit you. Don’t touch anything.”
His room was extremely..different. Shelves lined almost every wall and were filled with books from several genres. One shelf had several notebooks and another was filled with a few hand carved boxes full of mysterious items he had found along with items he had kept in memory of certain events throughout his life. Against his bed was his desk with his computer on it and more books stacked on the edge that he had been reading.

When you lead me upstairs I was a little displeased about the look of your house it was kind of ugly and old. When you tell me not to touch anything I just laugh and roll my eyes. “I don’t want to touch any of your things.” I mumble softly and I slip my shoes off when you leave. My eyes scan around the room and I cross my arms over my chest in dismay. A single tear rolls down my cheek in frustration and I wipe my eyes quickly because I’d ruin my makeup.

Snow can back with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt along with a pair of boots that looked similar to his. He set them on the bed and said “I have a feeling you’re going to be stuck with me for a while. You won’t be able to wear heels where we’ll end up going. Let me know when you’re dressed and I’ll come back in and explain everything to you.”

I turn up my nose in disgust at the clothes you’re giving me but I had no other choice because all of my clothes were at home. I almost gagged at the shoe chose as well because I don’t wear anything that’s not heels or designer sandals. My shoe closet is wonderful and I miss it already. I laugh when you say I’m going to be stuck with you and I shake my head. “I’m not going anywhere with you. This is just some misunderstanding and I’ll be back home soon.” I dismiss you and I wait for you to walk out before I start undressing. I pull on the jeans and they were a size too big but they’d work for now. I put the shirt on and I roll my eyes at those shoes. I slip my heels back on and I let out a small sigh of relief knowing I didn’t have those awful boots on my feet.

((Lord she’s something else. A life out in the country is going to do her some good.))

Snow heard her call and walked back inside. He frowned at the heels she was wearing but didn’t say anything. He walked over to his desk and sat down in his chair. “Harlow, I know you’re not going to be happy about this but you’re just going to have to accept it. Your parents are pairing you with me because they think I’m your best hope of learning some humility. They think they made a mistake giving you whatever you wanted when you were growing up and now I’ve been tasked with taking you out into the world and showing you a different way of life. You can resist, but it is happening. Your old life is over now.”

When you come back in a saw your dismay about the shoes but I just gave you a smile and I stood in the middle of the room not touching anything like you told me earlier. I watch you sit down and I begin examining my nails as you talk. I got my nails done often and I was in need of a new manicure. I listen as you talk to me and I can’t help but let out a little laugh because I didn’t want to go anywhere with you. “No I’ll just go talk to my father and he’ll listen to me. He always listens to me.” I tell you but then my phone buzzes and I see a message from my father. ‘We love you and you’ll be okay. We left so it’ll be easier for you to go.’ My mouth falls open and I whine. “I’ll just walk home.” I try to act like it doesn’t affect me but I was on the verge of tears and even if I walked home I wouldn’t know where to go.
