Buildings towered over the streets, cars weaved in and out of traffic, pedestrians covered the sidewalks- this is what the city life was all about and Parker would have to readjust to fit big city living. Growing up in the states suburbs, Parker had visited the city quite a few times, however, living there and spending 24 hours a day in the constant hustle and bustle was still new and would take a lot of getting used to. Perhaps it was the masses of citizens that he found most overwhelming, idiots to the left of him, idiots to the right.

Parker arrived in front of the large building of Kodox, he took a short moment to check himself in the reflection, straightening out his dark gray button up shirt, before pushing through the colossal rotating door that never seemed to sit still, as dozens of people per minute continued to filter in and out. Just the previous day, he had come across an online ad for an 'assistant' position with 'top benefits' and decided to take advantage of the open interviews that were being held starting at 10am. Just inside the entrance was an oversized welcome desk with three current employees spread out evenly as they signed in various visitors, Parker approached one of the secretarys, an older blonde woman whose hair was styled in an outdated, overly-teased roller set. The blonde was obviously not natural as gunmetal gray roots were beginning to make their grand appearance.

"Welcome to Kodox, how may I direct you today?" Her voice was dry, just like the pack of cigarettes she most likely chain smoked throughout the day, her coffee stained breath hit Parker directly in the face.

"I'm actually here about the one of the open assistants positions, it said there were open interviews today at 10." The dark haired boy adjusted his thick rimmed glasses, holding his phone up to the woman which depicted the job advertisement.

She rolled her eyes, as if Parker was blind, her overgrown red chipped nails clicking against the keyboard. "Smile."

"Wha-" the snap of the webcam on her computer had already taken his picture, mid sentence and eyes closed. Such a flattering picture.

"Name?"

"Parker Kennedy."

"That sounds like two last names". Within seconds the woman was holding out a temporary, sticker name tag for Parker which has the ever so awkward picture of him printed along the left side. "Proceed through these doors," she crowed, pointed a terribly manicured fingure to a large set of modern steel doors several feet away. "There, you'll be greeted by security and they will ask for identification to match your name badge. After you're cleared you can make your way to the 10th floor, conference room 1032. When you get there, take a seat and wait to be called. Have a wonderful day." She didn't care if he had a nice day or not, this was all part of the routine.

Following her instructions, Parker entered through the large doors where security guarded the enterance into what must have led to the everything else in the large corporate building. The setup reminded Parker of TSA at a major airport, men and women dropping their bags and keys onto an x-ray belt while they continued through metal detectors. He approached one of the three lines, placing his wallet and resume into one of the empty bins before they travelled through the scanner. He was asked an array of safety questions by the security guard, dubbed Andy by the white name plate that stuck to his dark navy shirt. Parker moved his medium-sized frame through the metal detector, holding his breath and hoping nothing caused the sensor to go off therefore prolonging this process. Thankfully, no beep, he was handed his things before being ushered to the elevators.

Up the crowded elevator he went, exiting when he reached the 10th floor before finding 'Conference Room 1032' just down the hall. Upon entering he was greeted by the eyes of a dozen or so other potential prospects. Parker brushed off his khaki pants before taking a seat just as another entered, a woman dressed in business attire with a clipboard in her hand. "Alexander Keans?" A tall, husky man who was seated in front of Parker stood up. "Mr. Kopp will see you now. Please follow me." The woman, and then the man, presumably Alexander Keans, left the room, allowing the door to close behind them.

Parker leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms across his chest, with all of these interviews ahead of him, he figured he might as well make himself as comfortable as possible.
