“保國安民,七族共榮”
(Protect the country and it’s people, common prosperity amongst the seven races)
-Motto of the New Han Empire

Galaxy: Andromeda
Territory:The Southeastern Rim of the Andromeda Galaxy
Number of Systems: 9,874. 2450 of them are part of the Inner Colonies, while the rest of them are classified as the Outer Colonies
Influence Rank: 3.8

Population by Race: 20 billion humans,50 billion Guins, 6 billion Terions, 5.85 billion Dachar,40 billion Tunusi,3 billion Nochi,2 billion Degosin colonies,

Technology Rank: 7.6
FTL Travel: The ships of the New Han Empire travel via slipspace, which involves moving matter from real space to Slipstream space, which effectively changes the laws of physics for that piece of matter.Utilising the loophole in the laws of physics, that piece of matter is able to travel at FTL speeds without time dilation. The drawback of slipspace travel is that it emits a lot of energy while being used, and requires extreme computational power to function. All ships that travel via Han slipspace drives tend to travel at the speed of 1500 light years per day
Exceptional Technologies:
-The Fusion Lance :Inherited from the Jugsar, the Fusion lance is a deadly weapon designed to obliterate enemy spaceships at a long range. The weapons utilizes the process of rapid nuclear fusion to create a large amount of energy and direct it towards the desired direction. The directed energy beams destabilizes the molecular structure of the object fired upon and disintegrates it after a few milliseconds. However, the weapon doesn't really work well against energy shields or anything that isn't made out of atoms(examples:Hard light shields).
-Highly advanced beam weapons:Another weapon inherited from the Jugsar, the beam rifle is designed as an anti-shield weapon. The beam rifle fires a concentrated amount of energy in the form of lasers. The weapon is also effective against armor, but they tend to require some time to cool down after overheating.
- Magnetic Accelerator Cannon:Apparently developed to compensate for the fusion lance's incapability to penetrate energy shields, the MAC fires a massive metal projectile using a linear system of magnetic fields coils down a long shaft, increasing the projectile's velocity until it carries an incredible amount of kinetic energy. The sheer amount of kinetic energy carried by the rounds disrupts the shielding of the enemy ship or penetrate right through the hull of the ship when the shielding is depleted. The drawback of this weapon is that MAC rounds travel at slower speeds,

Culture: The Han Empire's culture is almost a carbon copy of chinese culture, since the NHE is quite hell-bent on preserving their cultural heritage. However, bits and pieces of other cultures also managed to sneak inside the Han culture, which includes but not limited to:handshaking, foreign(yet still Earth-origin) cuisine, and foreign(Earth-origin) dances.

Recently, the government of the NHE has issued a decree demanding that women take on a more important role in the development of the empire. Thus, females had taken much more prominent roles in the Han society.

Government: The Han Empire is mostly governed by the Emperor himself, with his subordinates assisting him in daily tasks. Individual governors are assigned to each planet and governs it's denizens according to the policies determined by the Emperor himself. These planetary governors are overseen by the system commanders, military commanders and also governors assigned to protect a certain system. The system commanders themselves report to the cluster commanders, who directly report to the Emperor.

The 12th Emperor of the New Han Empire, Emperor Liu ascended to the throne in the midst of the civil war. Seeking to reestablish peace and restore the prosperity of the Empire, which has been going on for almost three centuries prior to the Gorstak Rebellion, the Emperor has a heavy focus on the military and industrial sectors of the Empire. Most of the competent generals currently under the Han are handpicked by the Emperor himself in the early days of his reign. Emperor Liu utilizes the principles of realpolitik in his reign, while trying to treat his citizens the best he could without affecting the interests of the Empire. You can't say that he's a just ruler, but he is definitely better than tyrant.

Garum Graan
urdnot_grunt_03_by_johntesh.jpg
The leader of the Han Imperial Regiments, Graan is promoted to his current rank by the Emperor himself. He is quite a brute and is very straightforward in his thinking. However, he is known to be a good soldier.

History:
Before the Exile:1899 C.E. – 1989 C.E.
The beginnings of the NHE can be traced to the Yihetuan movement, which occurred on the human homeworld, Earth, during the year 1899 C.E.. The ultimate failure of the movement resulted in the survivors going into hiding for nearly four decades, before emerging to resist the Japanese invasion. Throughout the invasion, former Yihetuan members assaulted various secret research facilities owned by the Axis powers, gaining a cache of technology which would never be revealed to the world until after the war ended.

In 1947, the Shanghai Military Technology Company(SMTC) was founded by the more influential former Yihetuan members. The company specialized in cutting edge R&D, producing various state of art weapons at the time, some of them used in the Unification War itself. The SMTC reaped massive profits from its dealings with the various world powers, eventually amassing a wealth that could rival the richest of nations.

The SMTC continued to sell weapons and fuel the rising tensions among Earth's nations as the Unification War draws closer and closer, hoping to profit from the war and unite the world for themselves after the war. In the years prior to the war, the SMTC spent billions building it's own paramilitary and space fleet in preparation to establish a worldwide empire.

Unfortunately for the company, the world powers discovered the organization behind the SMTC and their true intentions only a few days after the war erupted. Not willing to risk the disintegration of the company, the SMTC fleet fled Earth in search for a new world to colonize, with plans for war against Earth in mind.

The Skinbag War 2000 C.E. - 2005 C.E.
In the year 2000, an SMTC scout fleet encountered a previously unknown race known as the Jugsar. Out of unknown reasons, the Jugsar fleet attacked the SMTC and it's colonies. Being taken by surprise, the SMTC was unable to respond to the technologically superior foe, resulting in the company losing all of it's colonies within months. The remains of the SMTC then spent the next three years fleeing from the Jugsar. However, the SMTC would also gain some Jugsar technology from their brief encounters with the enemy.

The SMTC finally gained enough confidence to start conducting guerilla warfare against the Jugsar in 2004, furthering their knowledge on Jugsari technology with each engagement. When the location of the Jugsar homeworld, Evenkal was revealed in a skirmish, the SMTC High Command decided to launch an attack against it, risking losing their entire fleet in the process. The attack was a success, resulting in the total annihilation of Evankal's surface and the extinction of the Jugsar as a race. However, 98% of the SMTC fleet was lost in the attack, and the remaining ships were severely damaged and trapped within slipspace for hundreds of years.

Birth of the Empire 2518 C.E. - 2650 C.E.
The SMTC fleet drifted for a long time within slipspace, finally exiting the dimension at an entirely different galaxy five centuries later. Fortunately, the fleet appeared right next to a habitable planet, Toth'Valai, which they crash landed on. The SMTC soon began searching the planet for resources to perform repairs, only to find that the planet was already inhabited by a sentient lifeform, the Guins. Knowing that they need the Guins to survive on the new planet, the SMTC made efforts to uplift the Guins, only to be met with failure several times due to the species' violent and xenophobic nature. 30 years later, the SMTC personnel would finally succeed in uplifting the Guins, making their first step in establishing the NHE.

The SMTC, realizing that they are no longer relevant in their new surroundings, restructured itself to form the NHE government on 2550 C.E. and declared the commander of the surviving SMTC fleet, Liu Tian Xiang as Emperor. Toth'Valai was made the capital of the NHE and planetwide construction efforts were made to improve it's infrastructure to fit modern standards.

In the year 2570 C.E., the construction of the NHE fleet was completed, and space exploration missions were carried out in nearby regions. Several habitable planets were found and colonized during the first explorations, which lasted for 5 years. The second explorations would come with the expansion of the NHE fleet in 2590 C.E.. More habitable worlds were discovered and settled, and the Gorstak were discovered and uplifted by the NHE.

During the third exploration(2610 C.E. - 2615 C.E.), the Terions are discovered on Terdan and uplifted. The fourth exploration(2630 C.E. -2635 C.E.) resulted in the Dachar's discovery and upliftment. The Great Explorations ended with the fifth exploration(2645 C.E. -2650 C.E.), in which the Tunusi were discovered and uplifted by the NHE. Exploration missions were no longer carried out by Grand Fleets ever since, instead it became the job of small, dedicated exploration fleets.

Growth of the Empire 2651 C.E. -2900 C.E.
As more races are brought into the Empire, the NHE experienced an age of prosperity and growth, marked by the fast economical growth and the increase of the nation's GDP. However, the growth of the Empire also resulted in the drastic increase of the need of labour. Coupled with the fact that the Empire having possession of the DNA samples of Jugsar servant races, the NHE recreated the Leth and the Kapolek to satisfy the need of labour.

With the creation of the Leth and Kapolek, the NHE experienced yet another economical boom, which would continue until the Gorstak uprising. During this time period, the Empire experienced growth in various sectors, the entertainment sector prospered as the people had the money to indulge themselves in pleasure, resulting in cultural development, while science, agriculture , and the industry also grew.

The Golden Age 2901 C.E. - 3170 C.E.
The Golden Age is the direct result of the economical boom in 2670 C.E.. It is during this time period that the Nochi, Ratohan,Taogos, Des, and the Degosin were discovered. During the Golden Age, the Empire made great strides in science and technology, and asserted it's dominance in the local sector. It is during the Golden Age that most of the current Han fleets were made.

The Gorstak Uprising and the Han Civil War 3171 C.E. -
The Han Golden Age came to an abrupt end when the Han Civil War erupted. It all started with a minor attack on a Han convoy. The Gorstak were accused of committing the act and by extension, treason. As a result, the Han populace were enraged, and demanded the extermination of the Gorstak as they felt that their decent treatment towards the Gorstak only resulted in their betrayal. Soon, the NHE began to fight a genocidal war against the Gorstak. Outnumbered and outgunned, the fate of the Gorstak was seemingly sealed.

However, the tenacious Gorstak armies resisted the endless swarms of Han armies valiantly, their efforts ultimately paying off when the Leth, Kapolek, Ratohan, Taogos, and Des joined them after the glassing of Mul'sant. The Resistance was formed, and with the sudden increase in strength, the Gorstak successfully repelled the Han armies.

Deciding to capitalize on the Han moment of weakness, the Resistance initiated Operation Vengeance, a plan to strike the Han capital of Toth'Valai and force them to surrender. Initially, the plan worked out well, but the siege of Wortan proved to be deadly towards the Resistance. Wortan, the capital of the loyalist Degosin, is a major chokepoint towards Toth'Valai. However, it is not well defended at the moment due to most Degosin forces being deployed away from the region. Expecting an easy victory at Wortan. the Resistance made a fatal mistake of dispatching only a few regiments to the planet.

The Degosin regiments on Wortan fought the Resistance troops to the death, resulting in the failure of the Resistance to take Wortan before the Han fleets react towards the sudden movement of the enemy and wiped them out. With most of their forces lost in the operation, the Resistance is now limited to certain pockets in Han space. However, the war was far from over, as the Resistance continues to elude the Han forces and conducts guerilla warfare against them.

Military:
The Han ground forces are well-trained and equipped with the best equipment available. These soldiers are highly patriotic and are willing to die for the state. They are also subjected to harsh training to ensure that they are both mentally and physically fit for their missions. Suicide strikes are expected when fighting Han soldiers, and these men would not even retreat one step in the battlefield, unless ordered to do so.

The Han space fleet is also a formidable enemy.Han ships have the best armor plating possible and the deadliest weapons onboard. They also tend to be huge and filled to the brim with weapons as the Empire operates on the mindset that the bigger, the better.Suicide strikes are also expected when engaging Han fleets

Han military commanders tend to rely on the 'Art of War' for guidance, and prefer to deceive the enemy rather than outright fight them head on.The Han military also prefer speed than anything else, and blitzkriegs are frequently conducted by the Han forces. When attacking a planet, the Han prefers to deal as little damage to the infrastructure as possible, and sends ground forces to take over the planet if possible. When resistance proves to be to hard to handle, limited orbital bombardment is conducted to soften the enemy defences. The Han rarely glass planets, unless it proves to be necessary.

Weapons
Z6-62 Plasma Pistol
300px-H5G-Plasma_Pistol.png
The most commonly used pistol in the Han military, the Z6-62 Plasma Pistol is cheap yet deadly. It fires superheated plasma bolts which incinerate their targets, and are used mostly by Tunusi troops. However, it's projectiles travel relatively low for a firearm, and it also has a short range. Just like all Han firearms, it comes with a bayonet just in case.

H6-59 Beam Rifle

A highly precise weapon that fires deadly beams at it's target. The H6-59 Beam Rifle has been in service for nearly two decades, and is preferred by elite troops for it's deadly accuracy and effectiveness.

T6-68 Gauss Rifle
latest
Despite the effectiveness of the H6-59 Beam Rifle, it is mainly designed against shielding, not tough armor. Although prolonged firing of the beam rifle could still wear down enemy armor, shock troopers usually don't have the time to do so. Thus, the T6-68 Gauss Rifle was born. Designed to breach enemy armor within a few shots, the Gauss Rifle is an extremely powerful weapon.

P6-59 Plasma Shotgun
latest
The P6-59 Plasma Shotgun is designed for close quarters combat, capable of spewing dispersed balls of plasma at anyone foolish enough to be in it's range. However, it shares the same disadvantages as it's pistol counterpart.

HJ6-50 Power Sword
latest
Designed for scenarios where bayonets are not enough, the HJ6-50 Power Sword is, just as the name suggests, powered by energy cells that heat the blade up to extremely high temperatures. This allows the blade to slice through enemy armor. However, it isn't as effective against enemy shields.

P6-56 Gauss Pistol

JINYIWEI orbital defence platforms
d591adf33fc79215a8548b527de6c2c4.jpg
Most Han races identify friendly systems with the presence of the JINYIWEI orbital defence platform,as even the most underdeveloped Han systems have a few of them orbiting the key planets.Tasked to protect a planet from stellar invaders, the JINYIWEI is itself a moving mini-fusion lance that is controlled via personnel stationed on the planet they are orbiting. Although these constructs are deadly in their own right, the JINYIWEI's fusion lance is significantly nerfed as they needed to be shrinked down to a size of only a few hundred meters.Yet,ships below frigate class are not advised to engage the JINYIWEI one-on-one.

Races
Guins
Star_Citizen_Concept_Art_EM_XiAn_Male_Stance.jpg
Homeworld: Toth'Valai

Lifespan: The guin childhood lasts for 20 years, before they enter puberty.A guin is said to have reached adulthood at a ripe age of 60 years old.At the age of 130 years old,a guin begins to show signs of old age, before dying at approximately 180 years old.

Reproduction: The process of sexual intercourse for the guins is quite similar to humans, yet different in several ways. After fertilizing the eggs through sex,the female lays around 10 to 20 eggs, which would incubate for 5 months before hatching.

Physiology: The guins are cold-blooded reptilian humanoids which evolved in the harsh swamps of Toth'Valai. Their bodies are covered in thick scales as a layer of protection against predators. They also have sharp claws to hunt and fight in the wild.

Psychology: The guin mindset is extremely violent, due to the harsh conditions they evolved in.Interactions with them tend to shift into conflicts, which caused a lot of trouble for the human settlers before the guins were uplifted. The guins tend to be xenophobic and reluctant to conduct diplomacy with aliens, and tend to think of ways to subdue them before they even get the chance to attempt diplomacy with the guins. The warlike nature of the guins has also gave birth to many brilliant guin strategists throughout history. However, they are known to accept new things at a fast rate, provided that it can help them in some way.

Terions
The-Prothean-mass-effect-3-29578058-1920-1080.jpg
Homeworld: Terros

Lifespan: Terions tend to live until the age of 125 years old before dying of old age.

Reproduction: Sexual intercourse

Physiology:The terions are an anthropoidal race. They have two pairs of eyes with each eye possessing dual pupils, and three pairs of nostrils. Their heads are covered in a thick, layered carapace that gives them a distinctive shape. The skin surrounding this carapace can be a pale blue-gray or brown color mottled with muted yellow spots. Their hands each have three fingers, and their feet each have two widely-spaced toes. The Terions also have a unique "quad-strand" DNA structure

Psychology: The Terions are imperialists, who seek to conquer and assimilate weaker enemies. They revere those who are stronger than them. The Terions also refrain from indulging in pointless activities such as gambling and daydreaming,as they prefer more practical stuff.

Notes: Terions are good marksman due to their physiology.

Dachar
urdnot-wrex.jpg
Homeworld: Tuchanka

Lifespan: The Dachar can live up to 500 years before dying

Reproduction: The Dachar reproduce by laying eggs.

Physiology: Due to the brutality of their surroundings, natural selection has played a significant role in the evolution of the dachar. Dachar eyes are wide-set,which gives them 240-degree vision, giving them greater visual acuity and awareness of approaching predators. Dachar eyes have narrow pupils. Their irises may be red, green, amber, or blue in color.
Their large shoulder humps store fluids and nutrients, enabling them to survive extended periods without food or water. A bigger shoulder hump is seen as a sign of high status, showing how successful an individual dachar is at hunting. Their thick hides are extremely durable, and they are highly resistant to environmental hazards, including toxins, radiation, and extreme heat and cold. Consequently their diets can include food and drink which would prove very dangerous to other species.Younger dachar have yellow or green markings on their hides. These markings darken to brown or tan over time, showing their age.
Dachar typically stand over 7 feet. They have been known to weigh at least 150 kilos, upwards of nearly 200 kilos for above-average specimens. Some particularly large dachar weigh in at about 362 kilos.
Despite their natural propensity for toughness, dachar do have physical weaknesses.Their frontal plate can be easily ripped off when one lodges a knife in it.This exposes the fragile brain matter of the dachar to the outside environment, making them easy prey

Psychology: The harsh dachar homeworld conditioned the dachar psychology for toughness just as it did the body. Dachar have always had a tendency to be selfish, unsympathetic, and blunt. Sometimes, when dachar disagree, one of them will head-butt the other to show dominance. They respect strength and self-reliance and are neither surprised nor offended by treachery. Their worst insult is to call someone "not worth killing".
The weak and selfless do not live long. In their culture, "looking out for number one" is simply a matter of course.Dachar have powerful territorial instincts which serve them well in combat, but can create problems; when traveling on starships, for example, dachar find sharing quarters nearly impossible.

Notes:
The dachar have multiple instances of major organs. These secondary (and where applicable, tertiary) systems are capable of serving as back-ups in the event of damage to the primary biological structures. They have, for example, two hearts, four lungs, and four testicles. Dachar also have a secondary nervous system using a neuroconductive fluid, meaning they are almost impossible to paralyze.

Tunusi
yhvrKi1.jpg
Homeworld: Tunus

Lifespan: Up to 60 years old

Reproduction: The Tunusi lay large egg clutches, and encase it within a webbing to protect them while they incubate.

Physiology:
Tunusi have oversized forearms and their bodies are armored with a hard exoskeleton. Their mouths have a set of small, pointed teeth.
Tunusi are on average about five feet tall and are relatively weak compared to other species. Although they can easily walk upright on two legs, they may often use their arms to move in a quadrupedal fashion. While carrying armaments, they are forced to walk upright so that they may support their weapons with their hands, but while trying to flee, or while patrolling without a weapon drawn, they use their oversize arms as forelegs to add speed or stability to their gait. Their eyesight and hearing is average, and they seem to have a very well-developed sense of smell, sometimes sniffing the air to detect traces of foes or hidden enemies. This is facilitated through the olfactory membranes installed in their masks.
Tunusi also have thick, bio-luminescent, light-blue blood, possibly a result of methane-based proteins in the blood to facilitate methane-based respiration. They also have an amazingly fast finger reflex speed. Most Tunusi have flat, three-toed feet, with another toe on the back of their feet, though others may have four reptilian toes in front. While they are small, stocky, and lacking in agility, they are quite sturdy.

Psychology:
Fairly intelligent but not very creative on the battlefield, Tunusi are gregarious, sociable and possess a very strong pack mentality, often associating with each other in groups. They are quite capable of handling weaponry and operating vehicles and machinery. They sometimes use a recreational drug in the form of a gas they mix into their methane tanks called infusion, sometimes referred to as "the gas."
An inherent psychological advantage possessed by the Tunusi are their unburdened neural pathways, which allow the Tunusi to absorb knowledge more freely compared to the other Han species. As such, they are often tasked with monitoring space for traces of non-Han human communication. In addition, many Tunusi have developed a clear understanding of two or even three alien languages. This advantage serves as a river of confidence in times of great stress for them.
The Tunusi often gamble with each other and play games. As a result, the Terions dislike the Tunusi and often think lowly of them, despite the Tunusi is also one of the major races of the Han Empire.

Notes: The Tunusi are methane-breathers,and they have to wear methane-breather suits while dealing with other species.

Nochi
Hmig2.jpg
Homeworld: Noch(known as Fulu to the Han authorithies)

Lifespan: 90 years old

Reproduction: Sexual reproduction

Physiology: At the first glance, the Nochi looks just like a masked human, but under their masks, the Nochi are purple humanoids.Male Nochi are bald, while female Nochi have tentacles dangling from the back of their head. They also have three fingers on their hands and three toes on their feet. The Nochi immune system is also quite weak, due to the fact that only symbiotic viruses exist on their homworld.

Psychology: The Nochi tend to be emotional, and frequently make decisions based on their emotional state. They are also extremely close knit, and would help other Nochi if they need it,even if they didn't know each other. The Nochi also frequently relies on technology in their daily lives, and their society is inseparable from machinery.

Degosin
lekgolo_mgalekgolo_by_turbofurby-d78sc43.jpg
Homeworld: Wortan

Lifespan: Individual Degosin worms tend to live for only 10 years, while Degosin colonies last as long as they are inhabited by a significant number of Degosin worms

Reproduction: Individual Degosin worms reproduce via laying eggs, while Degosin colonies are formed when hundreds or thousands of Degosin worms inhabit a certain "carcass".The carcass can be anything, ranging form human skeletons to armor suits.

Physiology: Degosin worms look just like orange earthworms, while Degosin colonies looks just like their carcasses, just infested with orange worms.Individual Degosin worms behave just like normal earthworms, but when they are grouped together in a carcass, their intelligence increases, and individual Degosin worms start to act more like specialized cells. Some Degosin worms act as muscles, while some act as the digestive organs...etc.The Degosin "brain" is composed of several "privileged" Degosin worms and is where all thinking processes occur. As a result,Degosin worms lose their individuality and consciousness when they group into colonies. Another interesting fact is that there is no turning back after the Degosin grouped together to form colonies,as their bodies undergo drastic changes to fit their new role.As a result,a Degosin colony can be killed if their vital "organs" are damaged.

Psychology: Degosin colonies tends to have no emotion due to their nature. They have a neutral attitude towards anyone they interact with. The Degosin passive nature and tendency to not be biased towards someone makes them excellent judges and investigators. But this passive nature was lost the moment the colony was attacked, and the Degosin turns aggressive and has the tendency to attack both friend and foe.As a result, the Han authorities have to install a emotion regulator to calm the Degosin enough to be able to differentiate friend or foe.
