Under the weather, and over it.
(Welp, suppose I'll start with something open-ended to lighten the mood...)

Kannah Brightsleet had definitely seen better days.

The Voralian's head positively pounded, certainly mere moments away from splitting right open like an overripe melon. Meanwhile, her innards threatened to become outtards, entangled in a ceaseless war against her own willpower. She was certain if she turned her attention away for but a moment, her body would find a way to expel the entire contents of her stomach (and gods knew what else) along the walls of the common room below deck.

Kannah had managed to heal the worst of the wounds of herself and others that had been mendable. Her thigh still throbbed fiercely, her arm hung in a splint, but they were taken care of. She'd ensured no infection would take, and no lasting damage would occur, but had been careful not to overexert herself on her own wounds, opting to help the others that hadn't been beyond her aid. Kannah regretted the loss of a few members of their company, but even if she'd had the ability to raise the dead, all tribes of the Voral agreed necromancy was irredeemable, an affront to the gods.

A sudden heave of her stomach pulled her mind back to the situation at hand. The rocking of the ship, back and forth... and back and forth... speaking of gods, either they delighted in the suffering of their disciples from time to time, or truly had no power to heal the seasick. Kannah wasn't sure which of the two possibilities she found more irritating...

It's Been a Long Week

With everything that had happened the past few days, the current scene might almost seem too boring.

Tanya Aurum sat on a bench, absentmindedly thrumming her fingers on one hand, sifting again through the contents of her knapsack with the other. It was sparse, that was for sure. A measuring line, a small set of chisels, a punch, a couple of tongs...so the small things, really. Nothing important, at least in the absence of literally everything else. All that was left on top of a rooftop, and no, she never was able to get it back. She was kind of a fool for trying to bring it in the first place, but it seemed reasonable enough to try to bring her tools. It's not her fault everything relating to her trade was so heavy. She was only going to bring the one carpetbag, but when she came in on the scene she did at the docks...well, she definitely had to leave that behind then. Looks like she would just have to save those skills for another day.

Ha, wow. Just wow. Everything that happened, and all she can do is mourn her dang tools? Was she that heartless? But how was she supposed to take it!? What should she think? First day on the job, and four people were already dead, one of them being the Black Baron, the guy who had met her for her test. He was an interesting one, kind of weird with his dark and brooding thing, but she didn't dislike him or anything. He seemed like he might have been a fascinating guy, had she gotten to know him. Maybe it was just because he was dead that she felt any kind of loss, but still. She sure didn't know anyone else. The Light Lotus Company were complete strangers to her, and yet, in some crazed turn of events, she had just fought alongside them. Got her hands dirty with them. Fighting against the Templars...like this was some war or something.

Tanya groaned inwardly, or maybe outwardly, she didn't really care. This was ridiculous. Their world was ridiculous. The fact that her leader's right hand apparently had adopted this girl but got separated so that she ended up with the Templars and fought against them on the docks but stopped as soon as she realized and now she's on their side now was completely, utterly, ridiculous. And yet, beyond perhaps her better reason, Tanya had no regrets. Well, check that, two regrets. She and Marianna left on horrible terms (her sister thought that her leaving to join mercenaries was insane, but she'll prove her wrong), and she never got a chance to speak to Garimella in person, only hoping that she got that letter (she tried again, to see her best friend when she got that extra slither of time, but after the incident at the docks, the news spread and her family shut her mercenary self out like a brick wall). But that didn't matter. She didn't want to look back. Tanya was in it for the long haul. The other people here were in it for the long haul. And somehow, at the end of the day, she got exactly what she wanted. They were leaving. This boat was going to Vian, and she was on it. That was all she needed.

"This ship wouldn't by any chance have a book or something, would it?" In casual effort to lighten the mood, she smiled and spoke to no one in particular in the loose gathering that was the common room, where mostly people were busy sitting, sleeping, or getting seasick. Like that elf girl--she wasn't looking that hot. What was her name again? Kani? Kana? Something with a 'k'. Tanya couldn't quite remember. She just hoped that no one would throw up...especially not when they were all stuck in the same space together.

Aron leaned against the wall and sighed, 'what a day' he thought. 'first day of work and we get attacked by the templars.' feeling the bruises on his body he smiled. 'well at least it was entertaining'. The loss of those four was tragic but they may or may not knew the risk of being a Mercenary.

He heard how Tanya asked for a book and smiled softly. "Well, reading after a good fight, trying to get your thoughts away from the fallen or were you just that bored that you need entertainment?" He spoke with a wide grin on his face. "We should enjoy the sea, the fresh air and the beautiful water, we can still read when we arrive in Vian and we can also mourn the dead when we arrive, but now we should celebrate our victory, our survival and the short friendship with our fallen comrades... " Aron looks at everybody and chuckled a little. "Does anyone of you have anything to drink, if not then my idea of a celebration is going to be cut short... Oh and by the way, the names Aron, you can call me Tiny."

Tanya's Reasonable Explanation as to why reading is nice and fresh air is boring

Tanya pointedly raised an eyebrow at her companion Aron, releasing a sigh with but a hint of annoyance. "Just so you know, it's not just because I'm bored or need a distraction." Maybe that was part of it, but that's besides the point. It wasn't like she was weak or anything. "I happen to like reading. It's a good way to gain useful information, and it focuses the mind. The outside is going to be literally the exact same ocean from here until Vian, so what's the point? We'll explore when we get there."

She finished pointedly, feeling the need to defend her point. It might be misleading, though. She wasn't exactly what you would call 'well-read' in most senses of the word, having had exactly zero formal education. She just starting buying books once she starting getting her own money...which she earned as a teenager from the betting pool by winning street fighting matches. Like an educated person, of course. But she liked it. Clung to it. Books were her way of just getting one more edge on the rest of the people...even if her favorite book was technically a fiction about these guys searching out a golden wool coat and killing a dragon. Just so you know, that was a thematic masterpiece, and she learned nautical terms from it. So there.

"But yeah, if it's something to drink you want, I can't help ya there, buddy. My supplies are nearly nonexistent." Besides her shotgun, her giant axe leaning on the bench by her side, and the contents of her knapsack. But that was besides the point. Let her be salty still for having to leave so much behind.

Troubled in Paradise

Dante and Bita were fortunately able to gather their lost gear. Dante didn't so much say goodbye to her as much as slap her on the shoulder as they were best friends and quickly ran before she could seek vengeance. Dante hide amongst the crew from Bita and in a roundabout way the ship's dice den and soon found himself drinking, gambling and singing the sea shantys as if he was one of the crew. Dante enjoyed his first few hours on the ship until well.... he didn't. He felt immense regret and with a prayer on his lips, all his sins came forth. That is all the food he ate mixed with whatever the liquid the sailors called liquor. He joined another named Kannah puking his guts out. He was pretty sure the pair of them made this area the designated area where people did similar activities. This whole time Dante swore, complained and made oaths to the old gods to never drink again.

At the moment his stomach was muscling through trying to keep everything down. His mind thought about the 4 comrades now long gone. It wasn't anything new to him, and he didn't know anything about them at all. It was the equivalent of not seeing someone you pass on the street once in your whole life time. It didn't take much to shrug, and his kind drift to what treasures they left behind.

His burden cleared from his prior activities and thoughts no longer on the fallen. His mind turned toward Bita. They fought decently together. Her weird ability to use her shield to send bolts of magic back gathered Dante's interest. At the same time after spending more than what would be considered normal hurling alongside Kannah, Dante felt duty bound to at least see the end of- another great belch and a minute of dry heaving Dante realize he would be here for a bit longer.

Bura's Freetime

Bura leaned against the railing on the top deck, her large muscular form sprinkled with wounds long gone and healed though some scratches were a week old. They were all the same to her. She left her things in her hammock, she knew everything in it so she didn't really worry about thieves. Her eyes focused on the horizon of endless blue and white. She spent a good amount of her time up here. Having already introduced herself to those onboard early in the week she just let herself get lost in wonder.

Her tan skin had already darkened noticeably from her time getting misted with salt water and letting her limbs get so cold they felt warm. Often she helped with cleaning or moving things around without even being asked, even with how nice the ocean was she got bored. Her large figure was dressed in her patched up pants, a tight wrap around her chest, old bandages around her forearms and decorative necklaces and clothe around her neck, compared to usual it really wasn't much. She didn't bother to hide her orcish features, the sea demanded to see them and she decided it wasn't worth fighting the wind with a silly scarf. Her mind wandered through many thoughts though that granny stuck for a moment. She was an intriguing looking human. Bura had been the one to help her get to Ramirov, fighting off those in the way and holding the large bag of herbs and other things so the woman could weasle through. Bura had put the bag in with the food storage, she herself couldn't identify what was what but she hoped someone would come along and be able to.

The orc woman didn't know what to think of their last minute stowaway. Couldn't imagine she was anymore trustworthy then the rest of this crowd. Cracking her back she looked across the deck to see a few individuals working about with basic navigation and making sure they were on schedule. It was like watching ants on an invisible mission. Her expression softened a bit as she returned her gaze down to the waves below trying to see anything beneath its surface. She was actually free from that place.

Who? Bita / Where? On the deck / Talking with Bura ( Senor_Fluffy Senor_Fluffy ) about Dante ( TheLoyalAcorn TheLoyalAcorn ) and Kannah ( AshenLily AshenLily )
See the Company Cross the Sea

Even the vast blue couldn't make her forget for a minute. She had been watching the silvery reflections of sunlight on dancing surface of the sea but her mind went back to review her thoughts and memories of that day. That was a bad memory for sure; a day to be remembered by four loses and more blood shed on the deck, but that wasn't what had concerned her since then; there was more to regret for her. She looked down at her hand and the leather gauntlets she had worn reminded her that she had gained some useful experiences. Not totally good of course since it was related to Dante. It was her first time fighting in a pair like that, which was considered a valuable experience. Other than that, she had managed to go back to that back alley and pick her gears which was fortunate, but between these two not so important haps laid a tragedy. She clearly remembered the havoc they were in after other members of the company joined the fight and Janet ordered them to help her send the ship off. But their effort to get to the locks and undoing them was for naught as the ship sank in the end. She saw it as Janet's error, since if she had seen that before hand and ordered them into a hit and run formation they might have been able to take Ramirov away and back off from the deck with no causalities. Surely that was expecting a little too much from Janet's wits so she was never going to tell her about it. They had arrived on the sinking ship too late. She still remembered the smell of burned flesh and thick blood. The corpse of the young boy fallen in blood was hard to look at as his face had brutally been burnt. She had guessed that the shirk of a young voice she had heard before must have been his last cry. Not far away from him a female knight had fallen burnt and pierced or in other words; gutted by scourge. That too was a disgusting scene. The knight looked bigger and stronger than her so she wondered if her shield could withstand such attacks if she was in her place. Surly the wooden shield she had picked that day couldn't help the least. Near Ramirov, who was celebrating his reunion with his fostered daughter, she spied a head. She suspected that it belonged to a comrade who was called Baron. She had heard that he had come from Kalin and was looking forward to talk to him about wars that he had fought but it was too late; those lips weren't to tale stories anymore. She had turned her face from the Vivian and Ramirove since their happiness seemed too out of place in that situation, then met the old woman's bloodless corpse. She hadn't realized how that could have happened until later when she had asked the witnesses about the fight between her and Vivian. In the end they had to leave the ship and let it sink with those corpses. She didn't know them at all but something made her feel responsible about their deaths. She had thought about it and denied it several times since then but she couldn't shake this thought off that if she and Ramirov had finished Praetor back in his church none of this would have happened. She wasn't confident in her strength and guessed that she would have broken and arm if she ever had tried to block one of Praetor's slashes in the hidden vaults of the church but she had witness Ramirov's final blow against Praetor and believed that if he had used that technique there the old mad Templar would have perished before being able to poison the mage and invade their ship. She had a lot to ask from the mage but had waited for him to get better first. Also, she wanted to try out and see if she could block the hard light technique with a steal shield or a mirror. Thus, she looked for an opportunity to talk to Vivian as well.

Sighing deeply, she shook her head to get rid of her irritating thoughts then looked around and saw Bura on the other side of the deck. It'd be nice to talk to someone to pass the time and get to know her comrades better to she approached her and faced her with a friendly smile. "Hello. Are you a fan of fresh air? I am. I'd like to go down and have a chat with others but Dante has overdone with rum and now is paying for it. He has join Kannah in a competition… poor girl has to suffer twice! I think it's better for both of them to come up to at least release themselves in the sea instead of buckets. What do you think? Won't they feel less sick if the stand in fresh air instead?" She started the conversation.

Bura's Idea
(Talking with Bita MJ ._. MJ ._. about Dante TheLoyalAcorn TheLoyalAcorn and Kannah AshenLily AshenLily on the deck.)

Bura had noticed the armored human across the way, she had a troubled air to her so Bura stayed on her side and hummed to herself softly. A foreign tribal melody she clung to from a faraway memory. Her song stopped when she felt eyes on her back, turning to lean on her left elbow as she looked Bita over promptly as the human joined her side and faced her.

"Ello Bita." She remembered her name thanks to its shortness and similarity to her own name. "I am very fond of it, yea." An amused and knowing smile stretching her lips at the mention of two of their comrades below deck. "It probably could do them some good, at the very least it would keep the commons from smelling like vomit all night long... again." Bura's golden hues went from Bita to ocean. Free hair from her dreads and braids swaying lightly in the wind.

The well built orc was as big as someone with full armor on but the expression on her face was one of ease and clarity. She was aware her fellow mercenaries probably didn't take the loss of 4 of their numbers too well but Bura seemed untroubled. It came with the job. The danger, the loss, the pain. She had seen worse in her time and was just glad that their voyage to Vian was going relatively according to plan. With Bita making friendly conversation, Bura stretched. "Though if they aren't fond of heights they may get even sicker. Might have to drag 'em up and aim their heads overboard so they don't make a mess of up here as well." Bura joked half heartedly. "I'd do it but someone would have to hold the bucket in their faces, I'm not dealing with vomit on me, not today." The orc spoke with a slight lisp in her accent due to her tusks, which were quite visible as she smiled.

Aria’s (Vacation) Antics!
“Where the, aha. There. Lovely.” Aria said to herself rummaging through the small satchel of essentials she’d brought onto the ship. Well, ‘essentials’. Pulling the single remaining bottle of then fresh orange juice out of her satchel, Aria slumped down next to her door, sitting on the ground. Her face became one of disappointment upon recognising how much she had left. She drank it in one go anyway. The Light Lotus Company had been on the ship for a while now and things had died down a lot since they departed.

“Things definitely died down,” she said to herself with her eyes on the empty bottle. Aria was less sad about the deaths than others seemingly had been, she’d been brought up by soldiers and spent her more recent years as part of another mercenary group. While she had mourned for some time, she knew and accepted death was bound happen at some point with this job. It wasn’t like she knew them personally or anything either. Though she got a glimpse at the armour of one of the fallen. Considering it was stained by blood and ruined by a huge gaping hole, Aria was pretty impressed with its design. Seven out of ten maybe. Too bulky for my tastes though she thought to herself trying to picture it. The Paladin’s mind was filled with more concerned thoughts about what had transpired, not only had four of her fellow company partners already been killed but one of them was that huge guy that decimated the regular soldiers. Aria respected his sheer power when she’d seen him fight, to think someone like that had been killed so early on made her fear for herself slightly, but more so some of the more fragile members of the company.

“Eh, just don’t make friends with the non-durable ones, easy!” She said wiping any sad expression still left on her face and replacing it with a smile. She jumped up and walked over to her armour set, it was rather humid in the ship so she decided she’d take it off for a bit while she relaxed and cooled off. Though time for that was over, Aria hastily put on a padded vest and then re-equiped her armour and weapon, striking a few poses before grabbing some whetstone from her satchel and scurrying out of the room.

The deck of the ship was much cooler, the fresh but salty sea air wasn’t like anything she was used to but she welcomed it as she stepped out. Taking in the sights she immediately noticed Bura and Bita out. Aria had met most of the people in the crew in the earlier days of the voyage but most were still nothing’s more than strangers with names at this point. Aria took note of Bura and Bita though, Bita for her choice of armour and Bura because she wasn’t a human like most of the others. Aria walked over in their direction, but stayed far enough away to justify shouting over to them as a acceptable volume of communication.

“BURA! BITA! HI, IT IS ME ARIA! I AM REALLY FAR AWAY BECAUSE I REALISE YOU’RE TALKING AND I‘M HERE TO SHARPEN MY SWORD SO I DON’T WANNA DISTURB YOU GUYS. CARRY ON.” She shouted to them waving in big arcs with one overhead arm before crouching down and starting to sharpen her sword with a whetstone. Every so often she’d move ever so slightly closer to them to see if she could hear what they were talking about.

On the deck/ with Bura ( Senor_Fluffy Senor_Fluffy )/ talking about Dante ( TheLoyalAcorn TheLoyalAcorn ) and Kannah ( AshenLily AshenLily ) and Aria ( Critical.Over Critical.Over )
Let's Do It

Bita used to only wear leather on her tunic since they had boarded the shop. She grinned with amusement in response to Bura's joke. "That a good idea." She commented. "I can keep the bucket for them and I'm sure Dante will survive the deck. He's been lurking everywhere with drinking sailors, but it's not fair to force the poor elf. I'll ask her if she's eager to have a seat on the deck." She suggested. "Shall we go now?" She asked but before could hear her answer was distracted by a girl shouting at them. Bita turned and met Aria waving for them. She waved back at her them looked at Bura again. "Aria might like to help in keeping buckets too." She stated.

Lazing about was one of Bridget’s favorite things to do, aside from stealing from the obnoxiously rich people she met.

Laying around on the mast, feeling the breeze on her face as it whipped by, blowing her hair in her face and making her sleepy. Reminded her of home, back in the caravan with her moms. She used to sit on top of the wagons and lounge about all the time. She had not a care in the world back then.

She was asleep when suddenly someone started shouting, rousing her from her nap. She blinked her eyes open and hissed, then glanced down at the deck for the source of the voice. It was one of the Light Lotus recruits, much like herself. Blonde. Human. What was her name again? Started with an A... or an E? ... Maybe she should have spent some of this time getting to know her new companions. Allies. Whatever.

The dark-skinned half-elf stretched and yawned languidly, not unlike that of a cat that had been interrupted while sunbathing. She rolled over onto her stomach and looked down at the young woman, whom seemed to be doing some weapon maintenance, but was weirdly spending an awful lot of time just “subtly” scooting closer and closer to two other women on the deck. Huh.

... let’s mess with her.

Bridget eventually got up on her hands and knees, crawling along the mast so she would intercept the path of this blonde and when she came close enough, Bridget hooked her knees on the mast and hung herself upside down from it, her face poking into the woman’s view, along with her own silky black hair.

“What’cha doin’?” She asked, blinking big, green eyes at the blonde, putting on an innocent, child-like voice just to be confusing.

Ocarina Flareweck
Voyage 1

Location: The ship, common room

The life of a sailor didn't seemed to be so good now. When Ocarina first boarded the ship, she thought of how amazing a sailor life would be. Spending their day traveling the sea sounds pretty romantic at first, but it was boring really.

She tried to read, but the sways of the boat keep interfering with her reading. She tried to fish, but her fishing string wasn't long enough to reach all the way down into the water. She tried to play her flute on the deck, but the strong sea breeze drowned the sound. She wanted to talk with her new teammates, but the solemn atmosphere from the loss of their four members seemed to kept everbody to themself these past few days.

That's why she planned to brighten the mood, by throwing a small party. She asked the cook to give her some drink and snack, and they gave her a big leather flask filled with watered down rum and some biscuits... not the best combination, but they were pretty strict with the food ration so these snack was a display of generousity from the cook who knew their story.

The leather flask on her right hand and a wooden tray filled with biscuits on her left, Ocarina left the kitchen area and headed towards the place where most of them usually mingled, the common room.

"Morning everyone, I have-"

As she entered the room, a nauseating stench could be smelled from the corner of the room. Eyes widen, Ocarina immediately forgot what she intended to say as she put the flask and tray in the middle of the room and approached the barfing pair. She pulled a small glass flask filled with green liquid from her satchel and handed it to them.

"You guys okay? Inhale this aromatheraphy." She looked at the inside of the bucket. There's no rainbow in it.

LETS PRETEND THIS IS A VACATION THINGIE!!!
-----------
What are the right words?

Captain's Log, Janet, Captain of the Light Lotus Company. Day 8, or 9. I can't really remember how long it's been since we left. While I should be celebrating the reformation of my beloved company, but the only thing on my mind has been Ramirov and that fucking pet of his! Ever since the bright brat has shown up, Ramirov has devoted nearly all of his attention to her. Like I totally understand that Ramirov was her father figure I guess, but that doesn't mean that she can fucking kill my men and get away with it! I have no idea what he sees in her, sure she's younger than me, but I'm much better looking! Why does he have to be doing this now?! The insensitive foreigner has no understanding of how I feel, and at this point I am more than glad to just throw him overboard the next time I see him!

I better write about something else, or else I am going to give myself an ulcer. We are out at sea, so I have lost all contact with, well my contacts. Not like I am going to need them much anymore, I'm going to Vian. The Shipmaster say's it's likely going to be another 3 weeks or whatever. Gosh... the rocking of this boat has made my stomach tingle in all the bad ways possible. Just this morning I've heard atleast 3 people throwing up, poor chaps I wish I could do something for them. If Estie was here I'm sure she would have something that could help them. Regardless, I have already made plans as to how we are going to set up business, we just need a headquarters and a place to replenish our supplies. There are several Balthoran Settlements in Vian, I got my eye on Felver and Grenyilet (Grenn Yill Ay). They have been the less successful ones and no doubt need skilled help.

Huh, Skilled help. That's exactly what I expected when I brought Ramirov in, after I found him half dead in Kalin, he owes me. To think he's betrayed me is...

As Janet was writing, her door opened, shocking her. She jumped a few inches off her chair. The door said only 'pleasurable' company may enter, and she had already rejected everyone on the ship. No one really tickled her fancy. Once she saw Ramirov, Janet didn't exactly relax. Although she knew she wasn't in danger, her muscles were still as tense as the ropes holding the sails. Using random lewd pictures of men mixed with official documents, Janet covered her journal, making doubly sure it was hidden. Ramirov didn't miss this, his face showed worry but Janet wanted nothing to do with him. Closing the door, Ramirov approached Janet, making the first attempt at a smile since he had gotten on this godforsaken ship.

"You know, everyone seems to be getting along nicely. Even Bura has been mingling with the others. I think Ocarina and some others are in the common room if you wanted to talk with them." Ramirov spoke with his soft and sexy voice. Parts of Janet felt warm, but she turned her head away from him; she refused to see him. Sensing her distrust, Ramirov sat down in front of Janet on the opposite side of her desk. He leaned forward, hands covering his nose and mouth, leaving his eyes open. He sat there wondering what he could do or say to put her at ease. Nothing came to mind. "Is there... something I could do to make you feel better?"

"Unless you plan to strip naked and let me have my way with you, there is nothing you can do to make me feel better." Janet answered.

"So you still want to conduct lewd business with me, that means you don't hate me..."

"I was not being serious!" Janet yelled, now officially annoyed. "However, I am serious about you not being able to make me feel better. You have really betrayed my trust Ramirov... you know, I don't even know your first name, how could I trust someone who doesn't trust me enough to share that! Even the chef was nice enough to share that with me before he grabbed my ass."

"Janet, you know why I can't..."

"No I really don't! I don't know who you are, what you have done, or why you have decided to stay with me! I thought I had you figured as some hermit who thought Balthora was going to make a good retirement home." Ramirov moved his mouth like he wanted to speak, but Janet refused to let him. "What are you Ramirov!? Are you really my Lieutenant and right hand man? Or are you a harbinger of murderers ready to release your long lost tribute upon me and my company?"

"Janet I just..."

"No!" Janet slammed her fists on the table, knocking over a small cup full of quill tip pens. She spoke with increasing ire, her usually warm eyes colder than his homeland, the gateway to Loadna. "You don't 'Just' get to throw something like a daughter at me, someone who has killed our friends! Do you know how Ulysses made me feel? For the first time in years I finally felt respected as a woman, not just an object. and what about Avila? You fought with her, trusted her with your life. Estelle? Royce? Royce wanted to make a life for himself as he had none in Balthora. Now he cannot even do that, all because of that bitch you call a daughter!"

"I did not ask for her to return Janet!" Ramirov bellowed, his voice amplified with magic. Although she was intimidated by this sudden intensity, Janet stood steadfast. "Vivian was the first person I met in Balthora," he spoke, his voice no longer empowered. "The first person to attack me, and the first person to give me purpose. After Aval-... No. You don't need to hear that, we are done."

Ramirov got up, turning to leave the room. He was stopped when a small dagger whished by his head, cutting some of the hair off, landing with a loud thud in the doorway in front of him. He didn't turn around, not wanting to allow Janet the victory of his fear. He grabbed the doorknob in his left hand, opening the door and another dagger, this one larger landing just above his hand. Still he did not turn around, for if Janet had really wanted Ramirov dead, she wouldn't have missed the first time. Out of deadly things to throw, Janet grabbed her journal and chucked that at the large handsome asshole in front of her. It hit his shoulder, the one wounded by the Praetor. He audibly winced, but she didn't care.

"So what? Now you are leaving me then? After everything I have done for you Ramirov?" Janet raged. Ramirov glanced at her, only allowing their eyes to meet, nothing more. He turned away yet again, now taking a step out.

"I owe you a debt Janet, I intend to repay it." Saying no more, Ramirov left, closing the door behind him.

"You are such an idiot Ramirov!" Janet cried, falling to her knees.

Tears fell from her eyes like an indoor rain, disappearing into the ugly carpet beneath her. She collapsed, huddling on the floor in a partial fetal position, hands on her head. She lie there, hoping that if she cried a while, her pain may fade.

Ramirov walked down the hall, to the final room before the janitor's closet. His room was modest, like always. A bed, a desk, some books thrown about randomly. His staff rested beside the door, it's energies dormant but glowing with the slightest color. Ramirov used all his willpower to gently close the door before encasing everything in half an inch of solid ice. His body tense, heart pumping quickly, Ramirov found a nearby vial of Tincture and threw it at the wall, causing whatever contents to spill and instantly freeze making dozens of little shards of either his medicine, or some random Arcana potion. The air was heavy as Ramirov threw whips of Arcane every as he vented his frustrations against the invisible demons. Slipping on a shard of something, Ramirov fell hard on his forearms, they would certainly bruise now. Still beyond mad, he beat the floor, tears falling and freezing from his face.

"Janet, if only you could understand me..." He whimpered.

He lie there in his solace, wallowing in pity and despair. Unbeknownst to both of them, Vivian had sat in the hallway, listening to everything that had been said.

A miraculous cure!
Kannah took a few moments to evaluate Dante as he took a seat nearby. He seemed to be in the same boat she was, (under other circumstances, Kannah would have found the play on words quite amusing), looking as though he'd seen better days, though judging from the stench of liquor about him, their ailments seemed to have been brought about by different causes.

Much as with the other members of her company, Kannah only knew Dante from brief introductions they'd been given after they'd first set sail for Vian, but Kannah figured there was really only one way to get to know someone. Maybe a friendly conversation was just what she needed to take her mind off of her current situation.

"Dante, was it?" As she spoke, she composed herself, straightening in her chair and sweeping a stray lock of her azure hair away from her eye, to be tucked neatly behind her delicately pointed ear. "I suppose I'm not much of a traveler. My people aren't really the seafaring type, it seems..."

"You guys okay? Inhale this aromatheraphy."

Kannah had been about to continue her thus far one-sided conversation with Dante, but turned at the sound of a new voice. Hesitantly, she reached out and grabbed the flask, casting a dubious glance at its contents. Her eyes flitted from the vial back to the girl who had presented it, and then to the vial once more. Ocarina, if memory serves. She seemed earnest... but that didn't make the liquid in the flask any less questionable.

Just as Kannah began reaching out to hand it back to its owner, intending to decline the offer, her body retched violently, once again threatening to expel whatever it incorrectly believed to be in her long-empty stomach with an audible "Hrrp!"

Suddenly realizing that she wasn't sure how long this voyage would be, or how much longer this sickness planned on sticking around, in what was undoubtedly an amusing sight for any onlookers she pulled the vial closer, screwed her face up, and deeply inhaled. A slight tingling sensation could be felt, but no burning, or anything else that seemed out of the ordinary. It smelled surprisingly plain, which was definitely a good thing. It didn't really seem to do anything, though, after waiting a few minutes. She felt perfectly normal-- wait a second... Kannah stood tentatively, slowly twisting back and forth, testing motion to see if that all-too-familiar sudden wave of sickness would shoot through her again. When it didn't, she practically squealed with excitement, ran up to Ocarina, and threw her arms around the girl in a tight embrace. "I'm cured!" she screamed to anyone (likely everyone) on might be within earshot. "IDon'tKnowWhatThatIsButYou'reAmazingICouldKissYouRightNow!" The words came out all strung together as a single word, and as if to emphasize her point, she placed an excited peck on Ocarina's cheek.

A Cure and Back to Dice?

Dante inhaled the offered cure, after he saw the effects on Kannah, deeply. Any part of the hangover gone.... along with the promises he made to the gods. He looked over to see Kannah kissing their blessed savior on the cheek. He realized his folly in not showing his gratitude and rectified his mistake.

Normally he would thank people by name but he honestly didn't know anyone on this ship by name aside. Kannah through trial and tribulations, Janet his boss, Ramirov the guy with a hot daughter named... Adept an odd name and lastly Bita the coolest thing since pita bread with that trick of hers. The current comrade in question was... Orion? Better not risk it.

Dante slapped the lady on the back as one would do with a comrade of many years. He then pulled her in for a side huge and held her there. The other hand outstretched and slowly moving as if pointing to something glorious. "Comrade! We're rich with that potion! A cure of seasickness and hang overs. Why we could start a shop and quit this company and live off the bounty of this extraordinary potion!" Dante spoke mostly joking. The idea of making that much money just made him think of paying reparations for the "crimes" he committed and returning to the old company.

"And Kannah I appreciate the company. I was afraid if I spoke it would make it worse" Dante remembered the one sided conversation and every time he grunted he felt that much closer to... well not having a grand time. "Now what about a game of dice?" Dante's smile was wide already scheming his way back to the sailor's dice game. The liquor wasn't all that bad aside from all that puking.

Aria’s (Vacation) Antics!
Aria had moved a couple of feet from where she was originally at this point, the sound of her scraping whetstone on her blade still overpowering the volume of her allies’ conversation. Though just about as she was going to up her movement speed she was surprised by a face coming into view. Dark skinned with green eyes, easily recognisable albeit seemingly defying gravity. Aria took one last stroke of her weapon before fully making eye contact with the wrong-way-round Bridget. Her face lit up with a proud smirk appearing on it upon hearing the question.

“Oh you know, just sharpening my weapon. Doesn’t shine like this just because it’s made out of some crazy alloy that‘s super hard to forge, you gotta take care of it too. Thankfully I’m just as good at taking care of my stuff as I am taking care of myself,” she proudly said. Although Aria had made eye contact with Bridget she couldn’t help but look back down again at her weapon as she spoke about it. If there was anything she thought was more well kept than her it was her weapon. Her eyes darted towards Bura and Bita quickly before returning to Bridget. Aria leaned in closer before continuing, “I’m also subtly trying to overhear their conversation, hence the crouch and sleek movements,” she said softly before she let out a chuckle and then tried to cover her mouth up, looking back at the duo to make sure they didn’t hear that. In her own mind she was being as stealthy as one could be, regardless of how true that actually was.

After she finished laughing her expression became a puzzled one, “By the way, you’re not the right way around right now. Just in case you...didn’t notice, hair doesn’t usually fall that way.” Aria reached a hand forward and poked a gauntleted finger through Bridget’s hanging hair. Bridget’s face took up basically all of Aria’s field of vision, she couldn’t see how Bridget was doing it. She never thought to look anywhere else either, the Paladin was far too busy trying to figure out how Bridget was doing it in her mind.

(With Bita MJ ._. MJ ._. moving between the deck and common space. Mentions Aria Critical.Over Critical.Over , Kannah AshenLily AshenLily and Dante TheLoyalAcorn TheLoyalAcorn )

Bura's golden orbs glowed with mischevious glee as Bita so easily played along with her antics. The orc could already tell she was going to make a friend out of this short haired woman. Even if she were human. Bura raised a brow at Aria's hollering and very obvious eavesdropping. The opposing orc gave a light nod before turning and jogging down the staircase to the common room. Stretching and cracking her arms like she was about to do some lifting.

Then as she made her way under she was hit with the smell. Even the well darkened orc seemed to go a bit green. However upon further inspection she saw the two vomiters were very much so not vomiting. A subtle disappointment deflated her shoulders. She walked over to the wall they were closest to and started opening bulls-eyes.

"If you guys going to be sick, take it overboard. It smells like death in here. We gotta sleep in this too." Bura shook her head her lisp even more obvious with each s. It was funny to hear from such a physically aggressive woman. Her eyes spotted the buckets of vomit just laying about and promptly picked one up with each hand. Making a trip past Bita, a quick glance which could even be a pout exchanged between Bura and Bita. Going to the side of the ship she dumped the contents of life regrets out for the fish to enjoy.

The orc returned a few times returning empty buckets for full buckets. Her expression a neutral grumpiness as she eventually cleared the common room of evidence of seasickness. Save for the stench.

Ocarina Flareweck
voyage 2 (I-It's not like I'm too lazy to make a sub-title!)

Location: the ship, common room

Ocarina was a bit startled when Kanna threw a hug at her. Not that it was unpleasant, she's just not used to it, her previous lines of work didn't allow much physical contact. She returned Kanna's embrace with her own and even let out a giggle as the elf threw a brief kiss at her cheek.

The other person, Dante wasn't it? Gave her a slightly hard pat on the back and pulled her to his side before dramatically proposed to make a business out of the potion. Ocarina wanted to point out that it won't likely to happen because her mother was the one who made the potion with her highly refined skill and equipment, not her. Then she realized Dante might just want to joke so she laughed for both Dante's joke and her stupidity.

"Dice game sounds fun. I also brought snack and drink here." She pointed at the biscuit and the leather flask in the middle of the room.

"Oh, and thank you Bura for cleaning the bucket!" She waved at Bura. When she first saw Bura, Ocarina was intimidated by Bura's appearance and avoided the orc most of the time. Though she soon realized that she should know better not to judge people by appearance. She remembered how kids always run away from her when she wears her crow uniform, it's not a pleasant feeling.

"Want to join us in a dice game?" She asked the orc. "Please?"

Gotta do something, How's the Team?
Janet spend a good hour or so huddling on the floor crying her eyes out, torn between her love and admiration for Ramirov and the fact his new carry-on was a cold blooded murderer. She was unable to truly forgive him for trusting the new girl, but she knew at some point she had to move on. Stop dilly dallying like an emotional little girl and find something more amusing to do. Using a mirror, Janet touched up her face with some light makeup. Just enough to hide the ugliness of crying, her eyes were definitely still a little puffy even under a layer of foundation. She eventually settled on checking up on the new recruits, see if they were overall doing alright or all dying of scurvy. Scouring whatever clothes she brought with her, Janet threw on a simple brown top with a comfy skirt dyed a handsome brown.
wood9-jcrew.jpg

She navigated the hallways with ease, but as she approached the common room it smelled like rotten eggs and sour milk. There has been a lot of puking today, and if Janet didn't do something there would certainly be more. Janet opened the door, walking into a cloud of gross. While stomach acid and half-digested meals were not the most compelling fragrance to enjoy, Janet put together a confident strut, swaying her hips with such gusto as to invigorate their spirits... or something else. Usually Janet had a date after putting on this act, or atleast a ten minute distraction. Having been a mercenary for many years, Janet has grown accustomed to unpleasant smells.

"Alright Ladies and Girls! Listen up! Our Shipmaster expects us to be on this ship for another 3 weeks before we get to Vian. If you are getting seasick, just head topside. Getting some fresh air and daylight will help normalize your bodies. And if this mess isn't cleaned up, you will all be sleeping in here after eating Ramirov's gruel." Janet yelled, paying attention to Dante and Kanna, who seemed to be in a moment of passion with little miss Ocarina. "You two get a room, or let me join in. Either way it's fun for me." she flirted, offering a cute wink. Bridget was hanging from a mast ... inside the ship? Must have been decorative. She was chatting with Aria, how curious that both of the cute girls were chatting away making friends. Bura and Bita had been getting a little buddy buddy too, Dante was oddly celebratory. Aron was lonely, and Janet couldn't let that pass for long. "Mr. Ironfist, smile, we'll get to Vian eventually." Pulling out a small vial of Ramirov's medicine from nowhere, Janet placed it in Aron's hand. Although it was technically medicine, it was made with Otadanor which doubled as an incredibly strong spirit, much like absinthe. "Drink that, you'll be jolly in no time."

Aside from that there was not much else she could do. Most of the team was accounted for, and the others must've been sleeping or just trying to avoid the gross. She wanted to question all of them, make sure everyone was alright, but bringing up the issue could make things a little worse. While she wanted to find Kyros and stroke his handsome beard, she figured it would be polite to let sleeping mercs lie. Besides, there was one person she wanted to talk to.

"Kannah!" Janet yelled from the other side of the room. "Come with me topside I need to talk to you."
That's what Family is For.
Ramirov had spent the past hour dispelling the magic from his room, lest this room freeze solid and break a giant hole in the ship. He was still fuming mad after Janet refused to even listen to him earlier. She has been so stubborn for the past week, refusing to so much as glance at him since Vivian returned. He was growing tired of her company anyways, part of him wanted to leave Janet once they arrived at Vian. It would be easy to disappear in Vian, especially since Janet has never been there. He could take the Western Road and find refuge with the Brogon Tribes. Grabbing a piece half and half spirits, Ramirov lit his hand ablaze to cleanse his hand of the excess magic, while also purifying his hand of any infections caused by touching the wood of the ship. He drew a long, tired sigh... wanting to perish the thought of abandoning Janet but he simply couldn't. If Janet wouldn't bother to understand then she no longer deserved his company.

"Naven?" Ramirov turned around, hand still blazing ready to hurdle flame, but once he saw Vivian, he instantly relaxed and extinguished the flame with a flick of the wrist. She had finally gotten the last of the blood from her clothes, and appeared like a white angel in his dark room. "Do you ... want me to leave? I overheard your argument with Janet and...

"No Vivian, I don't you to go, but I feel that I must go. As soon as I can, Janet has taken things to a level that I fear I cannot solve." Ramirov answered, his tone low and remorseful. "I know you were acting as a Templar and weren't aware of my presence which thus caused you to kill our comrades. Still..." Ramirov paused, cleansing another frozen wall, returning it to it's previous state. "I fear your return has stirred up enough trouble to rile up a side of Janet that I don't ever want to see again."

"See again? You mean you have seen that woman like a crazed witch before? I still don't know why she won't accept my apologies, I have even offered to try and please her physically. She ended up slapping me. Anyways, I think you need to stay with Janet." Ramirov was oddly confused, expecting Vivian to fully agree with him. "You said that you owed her a debt right? If you were to leave her now, then you'd only affirm everything that she has come to believe about you. You should stay and pay off whatever debt you owe her."

"Ugh... You are still so chivalrous." Ramirov mused.

"It's part of being Salieri's Chosen. You should know that, you taught me after all." Vivian said, with a warm smile. Such a smile warmed Ramirov's heart. He hugged Vivian, feeling his stress disappear from him. "It is good to finally be by your side again, Naven."

"And I'm glad you didn't die on the streets. I'll admit, seeing you as a badass Templar was kinda thrilling." Ramirov joked, for the first time in months. "Now... where is my medicine?"

*Coughs up post*

What did I get myself into this time... Was the first thought that got into his head, with the idea of getting the hell out of there and being done with this bullshit popping into his head multiple times throughout the entire fight. The guy with all the arrows and shit sticking out of him having his head ripped off was what really hammered in the sheer magnitude of how fucked Kyros was. He would have to play his cards in the smartest was possible, as if they were up against the sorts that could stomp a guy like that, then he really stood no chance.

From his backpack, he grabbed the water skin that he had brought with himself. He had filled it with strong enough liquor to assist in the passing of shit days such as the one that he was currently in. He quickly gulped down a few sips, with him returning it to his bag and waiting for it to take effect. Kyros wasn't intending on carrying all this shit with himself the entire day, with him moving to the sleeping quarters to claim a bed for himself and leave his things there.

It appeared that they were supposed to share rooms with others. He didn't really care who he had to share rooms with. It would be fine as long as they didn't touch his belongings and didn't snore. As long as he could go to sleep, it didn't really matter who was sleeping in the same room as him. Although, he did have his preferences as to who out of the crew he'd like to sleep with. It wasn't long until he found his mind wondering how said people would look in certain positions.

Going for a nap at the moment was not really much of an option, with him not really being tired enough to do so. It was probably a good idea to go an mingle with some of the other crew members. He wasn't one for being a good friend but it did him no harm to find people he could rely on. So far, it was just Ramirov. He left his shortsword in his room along with its sheath, with him taking with himself his deck of playing cards. He wasn't too worried about having to protect himself, as if it came to it he could grab one of the small knives he hid in his clothing and immediately end the fight.

He walked into the common room to find the people there mingling with each other already. Hugging each other and wanting to play dice games. There was a variety of people there too. I am not nearly drunk enough for this shit... Deciding it would be best to keep quiet for now, he uttered an unenthusiastic "Hi everyone." and then leaned up against a wall, begginning to flip around the butterfly knife he had on him.

The Summons

"...And Kannah I appreciate the company. I was afraid if I spoke it would make it worse"
Kannah shrugged shortly, "no big deal! The company was helpful, at least. Gave me something to help keep my mind off all the rocking and bobbing." She laughed, again marveling at the effectiveness of the whatever-it-was Ocarnia had given her. Just like that she'd gone from feeling absolutely horrendous, to enjoying the company of her comrades in just a few short minutes.

"If you guys going to be sick, take it overboard. It smells like death in here. We gotta sleep in this too."
"Yeah, sorry about that, Bura. I'd tried going up earlier, but it didn't seem to help much. Quite the opposite, actually. And the wellness is a recent development, thanks to Ocarina's... well, whatever it is. I was planning on getting the buckets taken care of in short order, but looks like you beat me to it. So thanks for that." Kannah paused briefly in a moment of contemplation, before speaking again, this time to no one in particular, "I suppose it's an amusing bit of irony that my magic can heal the mortally wounded, but doesn't have any effect on an upset stomach."

"I also brought snacks and drinks here."
A loud rumble could be heard as Kannah's body seemed to realize it had been continuously emptying its contents of the last few days every couple of hours, and it relayed the message to her stomach. She snatched a few of the biscuits off of the tray, muttering a quick "thanks!" to Ocarina, before practically inhaling the first, and then stuffing a second into her mouth just as Janet entered the room.

"You two get a room, or let me join in. Either way it's fun for me."
The elf froze, her usually pale skin flushing deeply as she realized the implications of Janet's words, and quickly moved away from the other girl, struggling to swallow the biscuit in her mouth as she did. "I d-don't--" she stammered, but was cut off before she could finish the thought, beckoned to the deck to speak with Janet alone, it seemed.

Common Room / With Bura, Kannah, Ocarina, Dante, Janet, Kyros
Snakes & Ladders and forget the bitch

Sudden movement of the dark elf distracted Bita from Bura's answer. Actually, for a moment she had thought that Bridget was falling. It didn't take more than another moment to understand what she had been doing; trying to have Aria's attention. She smiled at the childish game of younger girls since they reminded her of her sister, then noticed that Bura had begun her plan and so went after her to below deck.
As expected, the air of common room was worse than disgusting, but she couldn't hear anyone gagging. Instead, Dante's voice was clearly being hear, babbling about Ocarina's medicine. "Well, thanks to Ocarina we don't need to drag them up but they have to clean their mess…" She was saying when Bura took action and picked stinking buckets up to empty them. "You didn't have to do that. I mean; you are so kind but they had to do their share of responsibilities." She told the huge girl as she returned. Then, the topic of dice games was brought up. She would like to go back on the deck and use daylight but seemingly she had to go alone and she didn't want that. This voyage was a good chance for them to get to know each other. They were going to fight in a foreign land so had to stick together for a rather long time. She had a few suggestions about games but a weird noise caught her attention. As she looked sideway for the source of the sound, she found it made by heels of Janet's shoes on the wooden floor. She looked the captain of company up and down judging her dress; that sure wasn't her choice for this voyage. Apparently, Janet had preferred to pretend that she was spending her holidays on a pleasure boat. She tried to ignore her appearance and waited for her to talk expecting some explanation about her long absence since their departure, but she only heard her nagging about cleaning the common room as if she couldn't see that Bura had already done it. Worse than that was the rude comment she made regarding Kannah and Ocarina. Janet hadn't talked to her, so she remained silent until she went to bother someone else. "Don't be ashamed, Kanah. She is the only one with her hormones running wrong way. I wonder if we should pity her for the situation she is in…" She spoked to the elf in hushed voice before Janet's voice from the other side of the room called Kannah. "Oh… she wants a private chat with you. Go ahead; you can handle it!" She told Kannah as winked.
When the elf was gone, they had nothing to do but worry about dice. "Was the dice game your suggestion, Dante? Have you missed Snakes & Ladders?" She asked Dante innocently as looked at him meaningfully.
"Hi everyone." They were interrupted again but this time more pleasantly. Bita looked at the guy leaning against the wall playing with a knife. "Good morning, Kyros. We are choosing a game to play; would you like to join us?" She suggested. Probably because a if they were going to play Snakes & Ladders, they needed a ladder too.

Bura had basically cleaned up the whole mess thanks to the responsible aim of the former sickos. All it took was taking out the buckets, her actions noticed by Bita who mentioned she should leave the responsibility to others. The woman just shrugged and continued. She liked keeping herself busy. Even a smaller and admitedly cuter member of the group thanked Bura. The human had avoided her up to this point so Bura felt a twinge of warmth in her chest at her noticing.

Bura glanced at Kannah as she responded, "Might not help you much but it will help everyone else. Don't be selfish." The orc explained in a calm tone, she didn't seem frustrated just a bit squinty in the heavy scented air. It brought back some bad memories. Bura scratched at one of her bandaged wrists as she finished cleaning and sat at a table near a window. Yet then the orc found herself getting yelled at by Janet to clean up or suffer. Her brows drew in slightly with a bit of frustration before they returned to their normal position.

At the offer of a game the large muscular woman's attention was captured. "Sure" was the lispy response to Ocarina's please. One could almost see a little smile tug at the orc's lips. "Depends on the game, I am not too familiar with many but I'll learn quick." Hearing Kyros she nodded and raised a callused palm up. "Ello." Bura folded her arms and leaned against the table waiting for the other who wanted to play to join her. Her patchy and baggy pants making her stool disappear. Her torso covered in a wrap around her chest and bandages around her forearms and wrists, at closer inspection her neck as well though the various decorative necklaces, cloth and her dreadlocks distracted from them. Looking at Dante with a curious gleam in her hazel eyes. "What we playin'?"

A Friendly Game Explained

Upon hearing the rooms general agreement, Dante smirked surprised at the general enthusiasm. Usually, he was used to other mercs slinking off afraid of playing dice. In response to Bita's prod at his old unit. "I did bring up a friendly game of dice comrade. Why? Afraid to losing?" At the last few words, Dante casually tapped on his arm where his old units tattoo laid. He really did need to figure out why she hated The Sons so much considering how she hadn't given him a straight answer as of yet.

Dante spied a table in the commons room nearby and pulled up a chair and sat down pulling out a pouch and grabbed a few dice that weren't loaded. "It's a simple game. You roll 2 dice hidden in a cup and place the lid of the cup on the table flat. You gamble on who has the highest pair. You can look inside your own cup to see and we go around in a circle raising the stake, checking the stake or fold. For us!" With a dramatic flair went into his room and came back with two jugs of the sailors liquor.

"You must drink a mug worth of this crap if you have the lowest pair. You can't chug you're out. We won't be betting wages after all… this is a friendly game right comrade?" Dante was casually looking at each player as he spoke throughout, but his eyes honed in on Bita once again casually scratching his tattoo.

Totally ripped this off a random dice game generator. Changed my talking color when I realized me and Aria had the same color
