Heyo below is the bare minimum I need to accept a character, your free to add more if you want. I may ask you edit or change something if it doesn't fit the lore or feels to broken. Delete the brackets and ask questions on the check or in a PM if you want more info. Once some sheets are up I'll make a OOC.

(( You can be what you want, the choices are a mix of human, elf, beastkin and dwarf ))

Title:
(( any profession they are such as alchemist, Knomage, doctor, chef, adventurer/warrior for hire of some kind or if they have or had rank in one of the many armies within the lands of Westoc. Alternatively they could also have no title or rank if they are say a criminal or nobody looking to make a change etc etc ))

Role on ship:
(( more accurate is "how did this character convince captain Bobbie into joining the crew or riding on the Bonny Jade"
Take note A passenger still has to follow orders but has paid a ridiculous fee for not having to work and possibly having more cargo space. Most can get by with menial labour and following orders but you could help in other ways if its plausible with what you wrote and what the sheet says. A chef with knowledge on recipes and preserving foods would get a kitchen job.
If you have a magic of notable use you would be doing that. Water and air being the big winners on the ocean but others can just as easily get you out of cleaning up and tying down ropes ))

Appearance:
(( some sort of picture is required aswell as a written description. Notable things like height, hair colour etc ))

Gear:
(( whatever your character has on them when adventuring/on the job. If it isn't written here and your character pulls it out they will be treated as a insane person out of touch with reality.
Though remember to have some sort of limit, can't be running about with a magical arsenal strapped to your person with multiple weapons and tools of different kinds and effects the in game reason being your gear would need to be under a limit to conserve space so only the neccesary shit is taken ))

Talents:
(( What this character excels at. Could be cooking, singing, combat related... If you think it's notable then put it down, if you bust out something in game which isn't written here your character will fail or look foolish ))

Flaws:
(( no one is perfect, for every two talents list some sort of flaw. Remember they have to be competent and sane enough to last on a pirates ship if we are honest... If you make a edgy loner unable to work on a team or take orders they probably wouldn't get very far ))

Magic/mana:
(( everything has mana, what's yours do? Give it a name and a explanation of how it works. A weak easy example and a more powerful example. If you want you could list some spells or techniques if that helps explain what happens.
For humans it's usually a element or type of mana capable of different things. Easiest thing to point to is avatar bending except everyone can conjure whatever they have. A firebender can create and control flames, a water bender can create and control water, a shadowbender can create and control shadows etc etc
As long as it's a single flavour your probably ok.
Transparent mana = invisibility.
Curse mana = necromancy. (At least one kind of curse mana anyway)
Healing mana = healing magic etc

Elves control nature and can talk to animals and some monsters. So elf capable of decent magic could make the grass grow into weeds that bind or convince the wildlife into helping them.

Dwarfs on average are the strongest of the races and if they have magic it's usually the ability to transfer and store mana from living sources of magic like people monsters or magic crystals. Dwarfs genetically make the best weapons and tools capable of magic.
Beastkin usually have animal strengths and traits. They generally use magic in basic ways which isn't to say they cannot be powerful. Ask me elsewhere if you wanna get a better idea or take a guess but know i might ask for a change ))


Backstory:
(( brief paragraph or two to show a bit of the character and how they lived in the lands of Westoc which led to them being involved on this journey across the seas to somewhere new entirely ))

Name: Yahno Ohmra
Age: 28
Race: Human
Title: Knomage/ Hunter (specifically monsters.)

Role on ship: General hand/whaler.
Yahno spoke to captain Bobbie of his many exploits across Westoc slaying monsters and fighting all manner of foe. Impressive sure but it doesn't help in sailing a ship.
At the mention of previous experience whaling and being able to slay such a massive creature with his magic that perked the captain's interest. Yahno was accepted into the jade crew as a general hand for manual labor but in the second month the opportunity to kill a whale presented itself and Yahno was promoted to the hunting party.


Appearance: under six foot with a well toned physique. Like all males of Ohmra clan Yahno has dark eyes and grey hair. A stoic face that usually only cracks during times of rest, enjoyment or battle.

Wears casual clothes such as robes unless prepared for battle. Usually has a hat or hood to protect his eyes from the sun.

Gear:
Armor and a weapon or two made from monsters

Talents:

Yahno has slipped dodged parried and literally rolled out of harms way many a time. Being quick is a great way to survive.
Knomage,
While not trained by one of the prestigious knomage academies within the lands of Westoc, Yahno spent most of his childhood learning about his magic and how to use solid forms of mana such as runes and crystals found in dead monsters and growing in nature. Yahno got his official title of Knomage at the age of twenty four from Crystaline academy after passing three tests. Proving that he knows how to use most forms of solid mana of any size or colour including magic weapons and artefacts. While getting a passing grade quite rare for a first time applicant, the methods were a tad "original" but overall acceptable.
Monster hunter, years of hunting monsters makes one accurate and sneaky...The most efficient/safest way of getting shit done.
barter/speech
Yahno is decent at talking when it comes to getting a better price or making a friend. From personal experience it's about 50 50 something goes his way or off the edge.

Flaws:
1) Yahno is terribly afraid of deep water, a previous experience which resulted in drowning and having to be resuscitated has left Yahno with a fear of the ocean. Was never a good swimmer but now he is even worse when wet.
2) Yahno has many vices from gambling, drinking and more. If the option is there this man will probably do it.
3) Yahno is selfish and rather unwilling to share his consumables be it food potion etc
4) Yahno is fooled/conned by a pretty face five out of ten times.


Magic/mana: lightning
The Ohmra clan is known throughout Westoc as those who wield thunder, Yahno is well versed in his clans magic and has the reserve of mana and imagination needed to create his own techniques and adapt from his lessons. From throwing a spear of thunder or coating himself or his weapon in lightning, Yahno has easily attained the rank of spellsword.


Backstory:
Born in Omhra Village in Whyrm Valley, Yahno was raised like all born with talent and taught the discipline and practices of using thunder magic. Yahno especially was a gifted sort excelling with his own mana and showing talent for runes and crystals. Yahnos mother was gifted in spotting the various colours of runes and crystals to guess what magic they hold and she taught the boy the basics of this. Many of the Ohmra men become bounty hunters or warriors for hire but Yahno found more enjoyment in hunting monsters. After a year of hunting criminals for various cities, yahno registered at a hunters guild and found his calling in completing quests.
Notable achievements during his time as a monster hunter include... Slaying the trihorned wolf of Morgha Mountain,
Slaying the ice mantis queen of frostfal forest,
Helping the Crystal knights slay a Gold dragon...
Years later at the age of twenty eight and Yahno Ohmra is kinda famous within Westoc. Slain many monsters, criminals, challengers... But the man is bored. Browsing the market of Crebtow yahno found a sword of amazing design different to the straight and curved swords of westoc.
"Good eye for quality my man, this here is a katana, steel folded and hammered more than a thousand times into a tremendous blade. Forged by a smith on the dragon Islands... this blade was brought back by captain Bobbie from the land of flames and ghosts"

Yahno felt excited for the first time in a while, with further scouting he found himself before the travelled captain hiring potential recruits for his crew on the Bonny Jade. After a tale or two Yahno was hooked and had to go on this journey...
