Stu French | 14 | Kit Kat Aficionado | Parish Bay Pirate

It's a bird, it's a plane. No, it's Neck Tie the Trash Can!

Stuart French, better known as “Neck Tie”, the friendliest, gentlest and most pure-hearted foodbank of a boy, who also happens to be the root of all problems wherever he happens to go.

Stu was born in the boring, coma-inducing English town of Chipping Campden. He spent the first 13 years of his life watching sheep graze in open fields behind his cottage (on aptly named Sheep Street). Here, he attended a small Anglican school and received a stern Christian education, worthy of a son of a minister of the local church.

He was not what you would call the brightest lad in class. While his classmates indulged in the study of ecclesiastical Latin and deliberated over the absence of the supine stem in so and so deponent verbs, Stu spent his formative years chewing on the rubbery end of his pencil and messing about the sagging bands of his socks. Every school day was a countdown to his little hike home, where on the way he could visit and pet his favourite little lambs and feed them pickings from the village allotment. One day, he learnt that they had gone to become lamb chops all at once, and he cried for a long time.

Football (of the English variant) was his only saving grace, because he was light and quick at running, attributes which made a good striker. His best friend was an otherwise friendless squad member named Tom, useless at the game, and also very gay. This much became evident when Tom straight up kissed him on the cheek one day. They were lucky nobody else saw it or they might have been teased to death. But not long after that, the other kids caught Tom checking them out in the locker room, and so held him down and beat him up. And Stu, hiding behind a wall, got scared and he ran away and he never looked back.

For nights he didn't sleep, knowing he was guilty by association. What if the others turned against him too, or kicked him out of the team? Football meant the world to him. So he wasn't friends with Tom any more, and Tom wasn't to know why.

Stu didn't much like Chipping Campden after that, and Chipping Campden didn't much like him, least of all his mother, who divorced his father and left with his two little twin brothers. So perhaps it was to some relief that his father got that very important telephone call. Within just a manner of weeks, they were boarding that aeroplane bound for their new home in America. It was his first ever flight, and for 8 hours he never took his forehead and eyes off the window.

Stu stands out, of course, because of his accent, and for being relatively small for his age. But any chance of a normal and settled school life was ruined from the get go. For the unforgivable crime of wearing a neck tie on his first day at school--mostly his father's idea--Stu earned himself some quick fame and a new name: Neck Tie the Trash Can. (Trash Can because he was tossed into one on one occasion.)

Despite these and a few other setbacks, Stu is determined to become a friend of the New World. He has signed up and won the audition (since he was the only one auditioning) for that all-important role of wearing the reputation of Parish Bay High on his fake beard and eyepatch. It is a duty which he intends to take very seriously. His life-long dream is to change the world and make it a better place, one Kit Kat at a time. He hates violence and is incapable of hurting a fly. That's why his locker is a refuge for ants.

Stu's other hobbies include:
- Not getting thrown into another Trash Can.
- Handing out Kit Kats to at least 3 new people today.

Here is a poem about his love-hate relationship with nuggets.

I would not like them

Here or there.

I would not like them

Anywhere.

I do not like

Chicken Mc Nuggets,

I do not like them,

Stu-I-am

HISTORY
In the town of Parish, the Abdella family were well known among the community. Their family history was often viewed as something to look up to and a level of success to strive for. The Abdellas are fourth generation farmers with humble beginnings, as the family started off with only a small amount of land and little tools in order to tend to their animals and crops of cranberries and apples. They were met with many challenges as the years passed and the number of black farmers began to steadily decrease. The Abdellas were met with threats and setbacks. From the bank stalling their loans or giving them far less than what was needed, to dead cats placed beside their tractors and oil drained from their vehicles. Hard times fell on the family but still they prevailed, unlike many unlikely families in the same situation.

Hyacinth grew up on her family’s impressive 64, 457 acre land, where she was told that they acquired over the years with hard work and smart investments. Hyacinth with her parents, along with her grandparents, aunt, uncle and their three kids. The four of them were also getting into something, from playing in her mother’s pearls to them making mud pies and harassing the family dogs. A lot of her family lived within different houses on the property, staying close in order to manage the farm together. So Hyacinth was never really alone.

She grew up learning how to manage a farm. She’d often train behind her father like a lost puppy, watching as he tended to the crops and animals. There were many times where she’d sit on his lap while in his tractor. Things were the same with her mother, only Hyacinth was taught how to learn about the land around her and garden.

PERSONA
Aisha is and has alway been a head bitch in charge for as long as she could remember. The girl is definitely a leader and has a way of commanding attention when she steps into a room. Unlike her beloved cousin Aisha is not that friendly and it shows in the way that she doesn’t give most people the time of day. Confidence is something that she doesn’t lack in the slightest. Aisha is sure of herself, especially her looks and it shows in the way that she carries herself, with her back straight and head held high.

Aisha will accept nothing less than the best. She feels as if she deserves it and thus expects it in all aspects of her life. She tends to flaunt her wealth at times, mostly without realizing that she’s even doing it. Aisha is most definitely a brat who has to have her way. She’s a materialistic person and she knows it. She’s definitely a lover of the finer things in life, be it food, fashion, or anything else.

When it comes to hard work Aisha isn’t afraid to do what she must, especially if the reward is something grand or beneficial to her. Never the one to do things in a rush, she will take her time and act only once she has deliberately made her decision, so that the choices that she makes are the right ones. Aisha is a patient person. Her determination and diligence means that what she sets out to do will be done well. She tends to be hard on herself when things don’t go her way or she doesn’t meet her own expectations. However she is also fond of manipulation and getting people to do what she wants. Aisha is great at pin pointing others’ weaknesses and exploiting them for her own benefit. She enjoys the game of toying with others when she wants.

Positive traits—Astute, Strong-willed, Patient, Charming, Aesthetic, Determined, Organized
Negative traits—Spoiled, Possessive, Vain, Perfectionst, Manipulative
Hobbies—Shopping

Aisha was never really interested in learning about the family business like her brother and cousin. Instead she wanted to travel the world and see everything that it had to offer her. Because of this there is a lot of tension between her and her parents.

❝ELIJAH TERRANCE. ❞
”All bark and bite.”

THE BASICS
Name—Elijah Marcel Terrance
Age—18 years old, Senior
Zodiac sign—Aquarius
Ethnicity—Black
Gender—Cisgender male
Sexuality—Heterosexual

APPEARANCE
Height—6’0”
Weight—189 lbs
Build—Elijah has an ectomorph body type though he wouldn’t be described as skinny. Instead Elijah has a lean yet fit body.
Hair—Black. He always rocks a fresh cut, pairing it with his signature waves and sharp line..
Eyes—Dark brown, almost black.
Skin—Elijah has deep, warm brown skin.

PERSONA
Elijah was raised by both the streets and his mother. It shows in how he carries himself and acts around others. He prefers actions over words. Elijah isn’t the type of verbal arguments or smack talk, he prefers to go straight into fighting and boy does he pack a punch. Malik carries himself in an almost casual way. But if someone looks close enough they'll notice that his body is not relaxed at all, like someone waiting for a surprise attack. It's a side effect on growing up in a violent neighborhood. He is seen as intimidating by others. The towers of most people and his eyes are coal black, they seem to stare right through you. Elijah’s face seems to always have a scowl on it, but it's just his regular face in all actuality. He just has a case on rbf. Though he has a temper on him, he can reel it in fairly well. He’s someone who is emotional and feels deeply.

Elijah can also be pretty charming and suave, when his scowl drops and that little smirk graces his lips he can usually get people to drop their guard around him. He’s adept at dealing with people and knows how to smooth talk them into doing what he wants or leaving him alone. Elijah is observant, something that he learned from the streets. He pays attention to detail. It has saved his life many times in the past. To the surprise of others he’s also pretty polite. He still addresses his elders using ma'am or sir, though it'll be followed by a string of curse words sometimes. His mother raised a gentleman.

Elijah is someone with little to no regard for rules. He likes to do as he pleases whenever he wants. He’s never been someone who was good at following rules. He isn’t afraid to push back or ask questions.

Positive traits—independent, charming, free-spirited, loyal, protective, intelligent, passionate
Negative traits—rebellious, short-tempered, impatient, vulgar, confrontational
Hobbies—skipping school, drawing/sketching, tattooing

HISTORY
Elijah grew up in a crime infested neighborhood within Harlem, New York. Gang violence was a major problem along with robbery and shoot outs. He lived with his mother and grandmother, his father was a deadbeat who didn't want the responsibility that came with creating a child. His mother worked three jobs in order to provide for him and his grandmother worked one. They were poor and could barely afford food on the table. It was easy for Elijah to fall into the street life. As a child he believed that it was cool. He'd see young men with nice things and without a care in the world. Unbeknownst to him at the time in order to achieve this they would have had to dirty their hands. It didn’t help that people looked down on those like him, that they were treated as problems way before they were treated as people.

The gang life had ensnared a large number of young men, including Elijah. They treated each other like family. Something that the young man loved. It wasn't long until he found out about the dangers of gang life. He figured out that in order to have nice things he would have to start selling drugs. The temptation became too great. With the money he would be able to take care of his family. Life was good for him and he began to raise through the ranks. That all changed the night he had gotten shot however. It was a shootout between a rival gang that almost cost Elijah his life and took the life of his closest friend.

It was then that his mother had decided that it was enough, that she wouldn’t lose her son like so many mothers had in their community. The family of three packed up their bags and moved to a small town in Massachusetts. The change was hard for Elijah in the beginning, in a new school and surrounded by new people, he had to adapt. And adapt he did, though he continued to hang out with the “wrong crowd” his life did take a turn. Now Elijah has a dream of becoming a tattoo artist and starting his own business.

Vered Demsky | 13 | Parish Bay | Freshman | Young Super-Genius

Vered is your average, super-smart super-dorky super-nervous-all-the-time kid who loves to study and hates most things "fun". He's interested in robotics, literature, math, who the hell is interested in math? Intelligence is, frankly, his most notable positive trait. Sure, he's nice, but he's also massively socially awkward. Conversation doesn't come easy to Vered, unless it's about nerd shit. He's cute, and nice, and little old ladies love him.

He wasn't born in Parish Bay. He was originally from Michigan (not one of the interesting parts) and lives with his parents and two younger siblings. They're not super wealthy, and got drove out due to the gentrification of the neighborhood they lived in. His life was largely uneventful prior to the move. He got good grades, had very few friends and made heavy contributions to his school's Mathletes team. He even managed to skip the seventh grade, making him one of the few in his district to do so. He was considered his school's pride and joy, though he got bullied a fair amount for being a little dweeby dorky nerd loser.

The move got him confused, needless to say, and it was relatively recent. This is his first school year in the Bay, in fact, and rather than spending the prior summer making friends, he used it to memorize the entire town's layout and catch up on all of the work that he would've learned at the local school last year. He doesn't know anyone, but at least he will never ever get lost.

LP1kt4h.gif

Wendy "Windflower" Bunting | 16 | Hartfield Academy | Sophomore | Manic Pixie Nightmare Girl

Wendy comes from old money -- you can tell just by looking at her house, really. But she hates it. She doesn't wanna be a boring replica of her mom and dad -- that's what her big sister is for. Instead she's become a strange combination of hippie, nerd and alt chick -- possibly America's most powerful e-girl. She writes poetry, she likes kissing girls at parties when other people are watching, she's a purebred provocateur with very few limits. You want a girl who knows too much about her star sign, listens to 100 gecs and clearly isn't mentally well? Wendy's your girl.

She's the middle of three, her older sister being an ex-pageant girl and relatively famous IG model, Tammy Bunting, and her younger sister being a well-behaved middle schooler, Lizzie Bunting. Wendy has always played third fiddle to her sisters. She must've lost her mind around middle school, because she became a parent's nightmare, complete with dyed hair, piercings and an abrasive taste in music. She hates her family and is very vocal about it, and has proven incapable of fitting the mold that her parents set for her. She even openly states that she doesn't want any inheritance money, because that'd mean she did something right.

The family has lived in Parish Bay for as long as Wendy can remember, and Wendy has always attended private schools. She's relatively well-known around her school, if only because she'll do any weird thing you ask her to for the attention. She has very few friends in real life, but several online, in a Discord group that calls themselves The Flower Club. They mostly talk about music and art, and Wendy doesn't believe she'll ever know anyone who "gets her" as well as they do. She's a known troublemaker, but incredible artistic intellect -- in fact, her grades would be amazing if she would just try a little harder. She intends to disappoint everyone who expects something of her, and will wear a smile while doing it, because she's, as one might put it, "a bad bitch".

Mi-Soon "May" Gu | 15 | Parish Bay | Sophomore | Literal Angel

May's new. That's the first thing you'll probably be able to pick up when she frantically, excitedly signs at you. She's new, she's mute, and she's so happy to meet you. Anyone who knows her will say that she's one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. Aside from a love of making friends and an adoration for her dog Blue, her biggest interest is in heavy metal music, which she'll often play at insane volumes because it gets her excited. She hates to see people argue or fight -- in fact, it makes her anxious -- and her ideal world would be one where everyone is friends with each other. This has unfortunately led her to be all too trusting.

Though Gu is her legal surname, as she's chosen to keep it that way, May is actually adopted by white parents. Louis and Pamela Abernathy used to run a small convenience store in Maine, and May lived there for most of her life. She had many friends, but was also harassed for being a pushover. All in all, it was a pretty average life. However, a house fire forced the family out, and any other living spaces were far too expensive. Instead they moved to Parish Point, Massachusetts, an incredibly affordable area where Lou and Pam figured they could pick up where they left off. After saying goodbye to her old friends, May left, hopefully to make some new ones.

Fah Prinya | 17 | Parish Bay | Junior | Resident Cool Dude

Fah Prinya is really pretty cool. Brutally honest, cool-headed, and just the right level of angsty. Girls want him, boys want to be him... or something. In reality he's just kind of a mentally ill disaster with a crime streak and violent impulses, as well as what he likes to call a "crippling enjoyment of alcohol". He probably has some kind of moral standards buried somewhere inside of him, but for the most part he's lawless and proud of it. He's a nihilist with a low opinion of most things, and is far more intelligent than his poor grades and pot obsession would lead you to believe. In a Hollywood movie, he'd probably be softened by the touch of a kind, attractive girl, but movies aren't real and he thinks romance is a sham, so good luck with that shit.

TW: Child abuse

Fah spent his earlier years in the city of Chiang Mai in Thailand, however, he never knew his birth father after the man died in a driving accident. He was raised by his single mother for several years before she met Lawrence, an American college graduate visiting on his gap year. He was drawn to the city largely due to how cheap it was to stay there, but also because he was somewhat of a spiritual hippie type into the Buddhism aspect of living there. Fah immediately disliked him, but was told to keep an open mind as his mother's new boyfriend slowly consumed their lives. The home he lived in changed constantly to better fit Lawrence's tastes. He felt like his life had simply become an aspect of Lawrence's, and felt alone and alien in his own house as his mother uprooted everything to better suit her new boyfriend.

When Fah was about 12, Lawrence was set to return to America. Fah's mother, in her infinite wisdom, decided she should marry Lawrence and move to America with him. The plans were made hastily, and a bastardized "Eastern" wedding was held in their honor. Fah was dragged to Parish Bay, whether he liked it or not. And he didn't. Where the population of Thailand was generally kind and inviting, his American peers were cruel and unaccommodating to his struggle with the new culture. His shaky understanding of the English language and general cultural unawareness had him ostracized and uncomfortable. Not to mention that, out of the view of his mother, he was abused physically and emotionally by Lawrence, who proved to be a lazy good-for-nothing that contributed little to the household. Years of this hardened Fah into the man he is today, only feeling safe when surrounded by wreckage.

Full Name: Jace Rose

Age: 16

Sexuality: Straight

School / Grade: Junior Pioneer

Appearance: For whatever reason, Jace is apparently allergic to photographs. Photos of him certainly exist, the school requires it for his student ID after all, but he has the strangest tendency to dodge cameras whenever anyone tries to catch him in a photo. With this information one might assume that he lacks confidence in his appearance, but even a brief encounter with him would likely cast doubt on that idea. The tall, lithe boy has a penchant for dressing his slender figure in eye catching, fancy attire. Blazers, vests, button-up shirts, scarves, gloves, and even overcoats when it's cold out. The boy even added an ascot to his collection shortly before being shipped off to Parish Point for the school year. He hasn't quite figured out how to tie it yet, though. Mind you, he doesn't always get fully dressed up for everything. No no, then he wouldn't get to wear his geeky t-shirts. He really likes some of those! So ordinarily he tends to dress in more a mix between casual and formal. This usually looks like a blazer over some t-shirt, accompanied with dark colored jeans and fairly expensive looking tennis shoes.

Of course Jace is more than just his wardrobe. There is his aforementioned figure for one. Tall and thin, with long legs and slender fingers. He's fairly athletic, though not quite an athlete, as a byproduct of his energetic nature. His skin is of a pale hue, as are the icy blue eyes which peer out from behind his golden bangs. In contrast to his seemingly put together outfits, his hair always seems to be just slightly out of control. Combed enough to look decent, but with strands always noticeably out of place. As if his hair was constantly just slightly windblown. The one thing that only precious few lenses can ever capture, however, is the boy's face. According to the few skilled enough or lucky enough to have caught his elusive visage on camera he's ironically quite photogenic. Rakishly handsome, with a sharply intelligent look to his features, or perhaps simply cute in a boyishly playful way. Those seem to be the most common descriptions, depending on how the observer perceives him.

Biography: Once upon a time, that time being approximately sixteen years ago, a baby boy was born to a rather successful couple. Arthur and Scarlet Rose were new money. They had been born with relatively little, his mother on a farm and his father to a small shop owner. However with hard work and drive they had both managed to make a name for themselves, as well as quite a bit of money. They both had sailed on the cutting edge of tech development during the 80's and 90's, a career path that had eventually lead them into lucrative management positions. Now holding very well paying jobs as business savvy industry experts, they were hopeful that they would be able to give their new son a good upbringing.

Indeed Jace lived a happy childhood. While his parents were busy and often had to travel for work, they were still able to make enough time for their kid. Not to mention their wealth allowed them to provide for just about anything he could want. He wasn't completely spoiled rotten, as they didn't immediately bend to his every wish, but he'd usually get what he wanted. Whether it was waiting for a present oriented holiday, or negotiating for what he wanted in exchange for being a better kid. Usually by doing chores or getting decent grades on something.

Indeed, incentivizing him to get better grades was one of the more reliable ways to get Jace to focus on his work. From a young age the energetic boy had demonstrated a bright mind. He was a swift learner and had an excellent memory. However from a slightly less young age he had also established himself as a procrastinator of legendary caliber. Jace never liked to focus on things that couldn't hold his interest, and most schoolwork proved rather uninteresting compared to all the other things on his mind. Why think about school when he could be thinking about, like, the dozen much more entertaining things that had caught his attention lately? This problem persisted throughout the entirety of elementary and into middle school, with Jace only avoiding getting held back due to his usually phenomenal test scores. He liked tests, they were fun.

It was when he almost failed several of his sophomore year classes that Jace's parents started to get really worried. Jace still didn't seem to have quite learned his lesson, and was still failing to perform in school. If their son was ever going to succeed, they reasoned, they were going to need to change something. By this point even Jace had realized that his issue with procrastination was serious, a realization that was solidified when the news reached his ears. He was going to be shipped off to a boarding school.

Jace's parents hoped that maybe a fresh and competitive environment would get their son more interested in his education. After all, private academies put a lot of pressure on their students to get good grades. Right? Surprisingly, or perhaps totally predictably, Jace didn't object all that much to the prospect. Sure he was annoyed, the sudden change in plans was more than a bit jarring. Not to mention having to leave his friends behind as well as a cute girl he'd started talking to shortly before school ended. However the idea of attending a boarding school was kinda exciting to him. Especially as it was described to him as some sort of elite academy. He of course dreaded the workload he was sure to encounter, but that was a bridge to cross when he got there.

    Pronouns: She/her

    Age: 15

    Grade: Sophomore

    School: Hartfield Academy

    Height: 5'2

    Build: Petite

Physical Description: Lulu is a rather small girl in stature making it easy for her to get lost in the crowd. Almost as if to make up for that fact she is frequently changing her style and wearing bright colored clothes, and on occasion colorful eye shadows. From the waist up all of her movements are very graceful, delicate, and purposeful. Countless lessons have made sure of that. While it isn't very noticeable, if you look closely when she walks her knees and ankles angle slightly inward, making for a slightly awkward gait; almost as if she were an injured gazelle

Build: Just thinner than an athletic build with a pear body type

Physical Description: Liz is taller than most girls and gives off a very punk rock vibe. She would never wear any article of clothing that wasn't comfortable for any reason. She wouldn't be caught dead wearing a dress. She has some body image issues so usually her clothes are on the baggier side. Her dark brown hair is typically an organized mess, if not hidden by a hat or in a bun. She has a nose ring and the faintest hint of freckles.

Charlotte Ara
Preferred: Charlie
Age: 17
Grade: Junior
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pan Sexual
School: Parish Bay
Personality: Relaxed and generally very cheerful, Charlie could be called a flower child. She loves the 70s and changing her hair to match how she feels that week. Behind this bubbly exterior however, is someone who just wants to feel loved. Because of this desire, she tries to make herself as perfect and loveable as possible, but is never afraid to say when enough is enough.
Background: Charlie was raised in California by a single mother who honestly didnt want the kid in the first place. No one would say she was a bad parent, just an unwilling one, and Charlie could always tell. So for the most part, the pair avoided each other and went about their own lives. Charlie spent her time trying to build relationships with anyone she met, praying to form some kind of genuine connection. This led to a lot of experimentation with her clothes, drugs, hobbies, and general personality. Sure she had plenty of friends, but only one who actually felt like family, Ian Evans. Due to her desperate desire to keep her one connection close, she got her mother to agree to emancipate Charlie when she turned 16 so that Charlie could follow Ian when he moved away. Following a bit behind, the young girl has finally found herself in her new school, and who knows what kind of trouble this kid will get into.

PERSONALITY

Optimist- Life’s too short to say no or to think about the bad things. Don’t point them out, but learn from them.

Creative- Even though these ‘’hobbies’’ never really bloom into anything, you’ll always find him doodling on his papers in class, picking at his guitar in his room, or maybe you’ll find his attempts at sappy poetry hidden on the last page of his books.

Timid- Atticus is quite shy when you first meet him, not being able to hold eye-contact or tripping over his words. However, once you get to know him, you’ll find he’s quite the firecracker.

Emotional- He’s quite sensitive, though he’s also very fond of bottling up his emotional and shoving them to the side, before covering them up with his ‘’optimism’’. He thinks he’s quite good at hiding his feelings, but it’s not too hard to see through his mask.

Dreamer- As a kid, he’d spend hours in the garden, playing make belief. When he got a little older, he started reading books before he was finally introduced to movies. Attic will spend a whole day, slipping into another world. Give him a pair of headphones and a clear view of the sky and he’s off.

BIOGRAPHY

Atticus was your typical small town boy growing up. Being born and raised in a small town, he quickly had to learn to make his own fun - like playing in the garden or running around in the woods, jumping on his bicycle and wandering around until it got dark outside, though he would rather draw with his crayons, than play with dinosaurs. His father, Rick, would spend hours in the garage with his son listening to cassettes, which immediately birthed his love for rock and punk music, and later, when he was 11, his father bought him a guitar for his birthday. His mother and father, although not perfect, are loving parents. His mother religious beliefs is the only thing Attic feels has been splitting them, even though he’s not sure they’re even aware. Not because he find his mother as the problem, but because he’s afraid he might be one.

In school he’s average, if not less so. A few years earlier, his big sister Ava left for college. Attic, being too busy with being a teenager to care about tests, will often come home feeling guilty when his parents look at him with a glint of disappointment in their eye. It only fuels the fire with the other things Atticus is starting to discover about himself at this age.

To push more salt into the wound, his father recently broke the new about a new job offer a few towns away, and they have just moved in to the small (but a little bigger) town of Parish Point.

Growing up in a small town, you either hate it or love it. Attic never knew how he felt about it. He hated it, then loved it, then hated it, but now he's not sure how to feel. The town might be too small for this boy, but the world is way too big.

And a lust for life,

Keeps us alive.

𝓑𝓲𝓸𝓰𝓻𝓪𝓹𝓱𝔂: "WHAT IS ME?" Arlo thinks about this existential question pretty regularly. He doesn't quite understand it, but he never felt himself no matter how hard he tried. Up until his freshman year, you would've caught Arlo wearing the same hypebeast clothing as the rest of the popular kids at school. Some nike socks, a Supreme t-shirt, some J's on his feet. But it got to a point where it felt like he was trying too hard to be a people pleaser. He tried acting like the people he surrounded himself with because he felt it was important to blend in with the norm. One high school heartbreak later, and Arlo suddenly didn't care what others thought of him. "WHY SHOULD I GO OUT OF MY WAY TO BE LIKE THEM?" Don't get it twisted, though. This didn't make him a mean bitter person. He still socialized with a smile on his face and a friendly tone. However, he found his style was beginning to shift toward pastel sweaters, ripped jeans, and nice shoes. His music taste was becoming more alternative, which inspired him to pick up the guitar and sparked a passion for music. By his junior year of high school, he began to see and understand the fakeness and shallowness of the superficial personalities around him. He distanced himself, burned a lot of bridges, and found himself ultimately alone, with the exception of the true homies. Arlo began struggling with loneliness and depression. His home life was near perfect, but his family couldn't understand why he was sad. He didn't either. It frustrated him. On the outside and at school, he still seemed goofy and without a care in the world. But when he was alone, words were screamed, hair was pulled, and objects were thrown across the room. He felt like he was going mad. His grades began slipping and just on occasion, you could begin to see that depressing side of him at school. Good luck finding any answers though. "I'M GOOD," followed by a smile and bright eyes. You'd never really know his problems.

𝓢𝓬𝓱𝓸𝓸𝓵 / 𝓖𝓻𝓪𝓭𝓮 / 𝓞𝓬𝓬𝓾𝓹𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷: Parish Bay/Junior/Works at a little skateboarding store in town

𝓑𝓲𝓸𝓰𝓻𝓪𝓹𝓱𝔂: A recent transfer into Parish Bay, Zeke isn't dealing with shit, taking any shit, and thinks he is the shit. He isn't very bright or intelligent, but damn can he do a kick-flip. Zeke hates bullies and is prepared to give a beatdown to anyone picking on people smaller than them, which is interesting because he's quite the bully himself, blind to his hypocrisy. Blunt and transparent about his feelings toward a person, he's not afraid to tell someone they're sad or pathetic and call them out on their flaws. All of the little annoying things about every person seem entirely apparent to him at first glance, and Zeke has a no-tolerance policy on persona. Prepare to get your ego shattered.

Zeke comes from a small hood across the country, notorious for its crime rates and drug problems. Meth, opioids, coke, you name it; he's been surrounded by users and abusers his whole life and finds the people struggling with addiction weak and small hearted. He says everyone from his hometown is "riddled with 'THS' (tiny heart syndrome) and can't face their own problems like a real man," his family included. His parents were found unfit to take care of him after cases of drug use, neglect, and domestic violence were investigated by officials in his hometown's CPS and law enforcement. After school, he'd come home to see dirty needles and lines cut up on the tables and hear screaming and shouting through the collapsing ceiling above him. It didn't phase him, though. This was the norm. Earbuds in and right back out the door with his skateboard he would go. Zeke found peace and calm in the sound of his wheels on the smooth pavement of the local skatepark. Thick scars eventually acted as his knee and elbow pads from biting the dust in his early days. He never wore proper protection; said it made him stronger this way. The reality was that he was dirt poor.

It wasn't until the age of 17 that Zeke's parents were charged with several counts of everything imaginable and declared unfit to raise him. He was close to adulthood and, rather than moving in with his estranged aunt and uncle, he filed to be an emancipated minor, allowing him full rights as an adult as well as the privilege to move away to Parish Bay, far from any of the horror of his old home. Dropping out of high school would've meant that Zeke would lose opportunities to go to college, so he decided to stay in school and juggle hard work along with it to pay for his little apartment and bills. He got a job at a local skateboarding store in town and now works on helping other people with their skateboards. On the little bit of free time or off time that he gets he gives lessons to children as well as some other teens and even the occasional mid-life crisis-having dad. He really enjoys teaching the children and loves to see the smile on their faces. To him, it was precious being able to witness joy rather than the agony of the kids back home. He has a soft spot for children and hopes that they can prosper with a happy, fulfilling, and peaceful life.

🐳 🎀 𝒫𝑒𝓇𝓈♡𝓃𝒶𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓎 🎀 🐳

Rosemary is a shade too light for conventional norms, society and overall twisted up in what deems to her world. Coining the traits of being air and cheery, whilst also bearing being clueless and static. She's fickle as the rain comes and goes. This was perpetuated by moving around a lot when she was younger, she's learned that people come and go. She's never held a friend for longer than a year, even long-distance friendships faded out from her vision— concluding that she's better off in her own space. Mentally, she's always aware of this separation, this gap, where Rosemary tends to skirt around subjects, she's elusive like a gentle breeze, rarely impactive and rarely making a scene. She's more politely distant in a well-maintained bubble of ignorance, admitted ignorance (she says that proudly) and she's got no problem saying that people don't matter to her. But deep down, well, beneath the shimmery core of anxiety & layers, Rose, truthfully, doesn't know what makes a functional sociable person. She's moved around so much, she's gotten different in ideas, plans, dreams and even nightmares. She's awkwardly defined and overzealous in her pursuits to be committed to her aura of nonchalance. But her interests aren't all centred on the dynamics of what plagues her daydreams. She's a big film kid, what else was an army brat supposed to do on bases? For Rosemary, her culture, her sense of identity came from those movies & particularly horrors, thrillers, comedy. She's a zinger with all the cheesy references, quoting in context and outside. Born into the wrong era for sure, 1980's/1970's shaped Rosemary in a way that she's a walking movie buffer of what she can recite and lump out, "well, actually," She's got no problem in sharing her knowledge. Where her lighthearted nature comes into play, the willingness to speak up and engage, about what motivates her? She can speak endlessly for hours, for days and even months. She's a plethora of random facts and titbits, working always into her speech and the brightness of her blue eyes. Rose's passion goes behind just wanting to study and worship movies. She wants to capture the essence, still, motions of real-life to digital memory & the world recorded around her. She's a camera junkie, with taking pictures, scrapbooking with so many movie ideas, a phone filled to the bursting of random pictures, as well as following up on weird myths, guides to the wacky and weird to the areas she's visited

Appearance:
Blue, orange, red being a staple and a statement. It's a representation of her emotions and fleeting individuality, counted through each thread. But she's no stranger to adopting her sense of style, through more "vintage," styled items, accessories, paraphernalia that heightens the subtle influence of spending too much time with her grandma. She isn't always dressed up as a depressed lumberjack, spilling that assumption over with warm cardigans and skirts, long boots. At times, Rosemary might dare to be some affliction of "cute," in daring to wear frills & laces. She likes much more repressed tones, shades, whites, a bit more dimmer in the face of intensity. Wearing her short hair isn't a testament other than she likes to keep that fairly short, framing her face and opening up her facial structure — opening to big smiles and rounded cheeks. Her hair is natural, grew it herself actually (stupid joke), but in all honesty, she likes toner, brightening the locks with something other than the brown she was sadly born into. Thus, getting more coppery feels and a visual bag of oranges, drawing more attention to her eyes (when she bothers to make that a piece to her outfits). She's still a growing teen, a body of which she hasn't pinned down other than her constant activity of exploring, giving her a more well-defined posture of healthy and slender portions.

Biography:
Rosemary Arnold - the only child to her father serving in the military, a quaint mother who supported her husband wholeheartedly. She's spent a lot of her life on the move, seeing different countries, experiencing cultures but yet she knows little to nothing, something she says all too often. Rosemary's home life was a happy one, she wasn't caught up in the fictitious waves of scandals, drama, her life was simply defined. It was simply living in the mornings of watching her mother bake, watching movies and attending a million different schools as her roster through the years expanded. They moved often to the unpredictable schedule of being in the military— she doesn't resent her home life for that. She does slightly resent her inability to make friends, bonds. Seeing more of her family as her social point rather than people her age. Was that normal to relate more to your grandma than other kids her age? She can honestly say that some parts of her life were stifling, continuously moving a plant and how do you expect to grow up stable? Despite that, she wasn't too receptive to the more traditional waters growing up, promotional rewards for older militant & family fun days (she secretly enjoyed that). Regardless, she still maintains some pride in the branch she grew up in & bases. With that type of mentality, only you can make fun of a sibling?

But, the lifestyle of a military life came to an end suddenly, when Rosemary's father had gotten into a nasty accident when she was fifteen. Her life flipped on the way up, consumed with hospital visits, understanding her family life was fractured, that the dad she would send letters to and joke around with became hollow. A self-reflection of a corpse, hollowed up by life experiences that Rosemary had no way of ever relating to. It was from there that Rosemary further retreated within herself, clinging to that aura of nonchalance. It became something to defend herself with and she wasn't processing emotions, she was further distancing herself away from all that internalized drama to feel. Something her mother, Eveline Arnold noticed. In the blistering glory of the aftermath, Eveline decided she would take her family and settle somewhere peacefully, somewhere for Rosemary to grow out from her stifled walls & a fresh start for Eveline to dip her toes into making a career.

(Doctors agreed to transition her father into a more healthy mindset)

Rose resisted the change very adamantly, Parish Bay, what could that change for her? She resisted the school so much that Rose refused to even entertain the idea, doing her best to sabotage any chance of attending the school in the fall. This is what pushed back Rose's entry date, where she spent all her time in her room, refusing to speak to her dad, (who was getting around on crutches) and a mother about to burst, slowly snapping her line of patience. She was finally threatened that if Rose didn't at least try— say goodbye to her interests, movies and life, she would be shipped out with her cousins in LA. Begrudgingly, Rose finally showed the tiniest bit of allowance of attending her school, new life, a jumbled chaos of emotions & scattered nightmares on how to be.

Nick Names: Par, Vati

Age: 17

Nationality: American/Spanish

Sexuality: Heterosexual

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

School: Hartfield Academy

Grade: Junior

Family:

Father: Phillipe Rivas

Mother: Jessica Rivas

Brother: Luca Rivas

Personality:

Parvati is a perfectionist, as the older twin she strives to be the perfect Heiress to her father. Due to this push to be the perfect person to inherit the family business, she often pushes herself to her limits. She always needs her result/outcome to be precisely as she planned and accounted for. She can sometimes come across as cocky when listing her achievements and awards and goals, however she tends to just reply as she is stating facts.

However, if the right guy can do it he can get her to let her guard down. To show that she is just a girl with a weight on her shoulders that she put there for herself.

Biography:

Parvati was born as the older twin to her parents while in Barcelona. Coming from old money, her grandfather Eduardo Rivas, setup a multimillion euro trust fund purely for educational purposes. With the plans being that anything she wanted/needed for schooling was gotten. As one of the Heirs to the Rivas global conglomerate, she would be taught how to handle the massive organization her family owned and operated.

The finest boarding schools, tutors and payments were made to ivy league schools as Parvati grew and expressed an interest in working within the business her family owned. By the time she was 14, Parvati had plans to attend Warton Business School, her grandfather having paid the way. Her father however, was not what was expected for a business man. He made sure that the family spent time together and that Parvati really wanted this instead of doing it for anyone else. Once he was sure, he did all he could to encourage his daughter to push. Her mother wanted the family to move to the states in preparation for Parvati and her brother to adjust to life in America for college, so her father enrolled her in Hartfield Academy.

Mother: Jessica Rivas

Sister: Parvati Rivas

Personality:

Luca is slightly introverted, feeling somewhat uncomfortable when drawn into a conversation with nobody he knows in a group setting. As long as he has an "anchor" someone he knows, Luca feels a bit more relaxed. At his core, Luca just wants to pursue his passion and find a partner to enjoy his life with. Who will accept Luca as his is, flaws and all. If the right guy comes along and takes his time, he will find a warm and caring individual who will be loyal to a fault.

Biography:

Luca was born exactly 5 minutes after his older sister Parvati, in Barcelona. Like his sister, Luca had a multimillion euro trust fund for educational purposes. However, from a young age the differences in temperament and attitude were like the sun and the moon. Where Parvati was bright and full of energy, Luca was more reserved and quiet.

Luca was seen as the shy quiet kid and did not make friends as easily as Parvati did. Luca found his passion in the artistic world. Proving to be a master at various musical instruments, he learnt the Piano, Violin, Guitar taking to them with an enthusiasm he rarely showed. Due to this clearly positive influence, his father encouraged him to pursuit these hobbies.

As he became a Teen, Luca took to painting finding the medium a good outlet for his emotions in a way talking about them never did. When the topic of college came up, Luca had a few in mind but had yet to make up his mind. He moved to the States along with his family when his mother decided that both him and his sister needed to be immersed in the American lifestyle since more than likely they will attend college there. So his father paid a handsome sum to have them be transferred into Hartfield Academy.

      character basics

nathan alexander watts. fifteen year old cis male. sophomore and swimmer at parish bay high school.

      nickname(s)

many call him nate, his parents call him natey. some at school just refer to him by his last name.

      ethnicity

nate's heritage mostly traces back to ireland and germany, on his mother's and father's sides respectively. he has somewhere between a fourth and an eighth of each within him, but he has no real attachment to any german heritage, and only minor ones to his irish ties.

Anne is actually quite the social butterfly, often taking the first step in reaching out… that doesn’t exactly mean they’re one to never feel awkward. They can easily be whittled down into an awkward stuttering mess with only a few negative words. Once they’re worked up, they may act without regard for how others may feel, moving and speaking on impulse. Usually it isn’t with ill will, however there is the chance it may cause something not so good. They sometimes may not realize when somebody’s upset, but once they’re aware that said somebody is upset, Anne is willing to do what it takes to help out, even if a little bit.

Their life before moving to Parish Point hadn’t been much to write home about, if one were to ask Vian. There had been a few things though that stick in their mind to this day. For one thing, when they had come out to their mother as agender at around fourteen. She had believed it was Anne’s friends who influenced this and sent them to a private school. Ever since then, Anne and their mother have had a rocky relationship that’s sometimes calm, and sometimes… not calm. Vian had resorted to going out and about on their own to get away from it all, which luckily they were allowed to do without supervision. Vian usually either went to libraries to write and read, or go explore in the nearby forest. They often had ideas for writing and small stories based on who and what they’d find on their “ventures”.

Now, their ventures in Parish Point are soon to come...
