Name: Floro

Age: 17

Race: Nymph

Appearance: Medium height, skinny, slight purple tinted skin, reddish brown hair, green eyes (plant form is a thorny purple rose tree)

Background: A rare male nymph, born in a magical oasis in the middle of a barren wasteland he took form of a thorny purple rose tree. As years pasted the magical waters slowly drained, with time running out he was left with a possibly fatal choice...leave the oasis and take human form. On the edge of death a group of desert bandits took him in. He was surprisingly welcomed into the camp and quickly picked up combat techniques. He has made a personal quest to revive the oasis, but on the meantime he spends his time looking for adventure and slowly advancing his magic. He is always on hot pursuit for new flowers and exotic plant life.

Weapons:
Leaf Blade Katana
A blade made of the sharpest grass, cuts through skin easily. The bandits had trained Floro in martial arts and the way of the sword, the agile nymph picked up light sword handling easily. The handle of the katana is covered in thorns so only ones willing to go though pain can wield the sword.

Throwing Thorn Stars

Floro always carries around his throwing stars, these ones are covered in barbed thorns making removal painful. Though not poisoned Floro is working on poison based magic to upgrade his weapons.

Skills [non-magical]:
Good Climber

Floro is able to quickly scale surfaces due to his root like fingers, though nimble he is a little loud.
Lullaby Voice
Floro has a soothing voice, though not magical he has been complimented on his vocals.

Abilities [magical]:
Plant Magic
Born with quite advanced plant magic, Floro has a keen relationship with al plant life, plant based enemies are his friend and all are kin from the common houseplant to the behemoth trees in the marshlands. He is able to summon: vines, carnivorous plants, roses and thorns.
Tree Form
In tree form he is a medium sized thorny rose tree, he can absorb water in this form. While he can go from changing single limbs to the tree form, when fully tree his pollen is grows plant life anywhere it reaches.

Weaknesses:
Afraid of Fire
Being a plant, fire is enemy number one. He is incredibly weak to flame.
Naïve
He is very trusting and it gets the best of him, one time he 'befriended' a group of ogres who were only looking for dinner, apparently thorns weren't on the menu.

Race: Imp - A subdivision of the regular species: Short stubby tail, Lower torso -including legs- are that of a common goat, black hooves worn from climbing. Skin, fur, and hair are flame retardant, even the more “human” parts of him - his upper half. His wings were once functional, however the only one he has now acts as a way to fan himself and his flames.

Appearance: Ian is taller than most of his family, with his height clocking out to 7’2”, with a medium build. His tan skin is a result of his close experience living near lava, and his purple leg fur is from his Mother’s side. Bright green hair frames his face, which is dotted with the occasional freckle on his face. One large, left wing is present on his scarred back, which is a veiny purple and maroon. The stump of a lost wing remains on the right side of his back.

Background: Raised in the remote mountains of Fendöl, Ian was a happy child, with plenty of other imps to play with around the volcano of his home town. Many different species with their own politics all lived together in these mountains, until a short civil war broke out between families. Too young to fight, Ian was hidden away under a cluster of rocks, left to his own until the war ended.

However, this battle came to a close very quickly, with all of Ian’s biological family dead. Crying could be heard from under that same cluster, where Ian was discovered, wing bitten off by a ravenous fire jackal. The other Imps took pity on the poor child, taking it in and raising him as their own.

Ian was raised in a loving environment despite the circumstances, learning the ways of his new tribe. Chosen as the one to descend the mountain for supplies, Ian is well versed with life in the markets of Anama, as well as the cities. He is constantly on the search for new ingredients to cook with, paying homage to his family’s teachings. His call to adventure will sure befall him one day, however he is doubtful. He could only have a boring life right? Wrong.

Weapons: He considers his body to be his weapon.

Skills [non-magical]:

Bipedal Strength- Living in the mountains most of his life, Ian has built up quite a strength from climbing, running, and swimming. This allows him to kick and jump his way to victory with brute strength, and agility.

Thick Fat- With this extra layer of skin and body fat, Ian can take an extra hit or two. This layer also helps im to retain heat in colder temperatures.

Abilities [magical]:

Spitfire- Once a pound coal is consumed, Ian will be able to breathe fire for about five minutes. This fire can be contorted into different shapes and can be manipulated, however this can only be done by Ian. This attack is mostly short range, except for the fireball variant, which he throws like a baseball at opponents.

Liquid Flame- Having flammable spit has it perks, and spitting on enemies is one of them. Ian’s saliva is almost pure gasoline, and is boiling hot. So, when using this attack, Ian covers the poor victim in spit, which can easily be lit on fire, if the temperature of the saliva doesn’t hurt them enough first.

Fanning the Flames- Using the remaining wing he has left, Ian uses this limb to increase the range of Spitfire, allowing the flames to reach far away targets, like those in the air. He can also light his remaining wing on fire once spitting on it, using it as a short distance stab-attack.

Weaknesses:

The Cold- Although it is hard to get Ian below 70°F, once this occurs, he can weaken, and even die. He must be bundled in warm clothing before venturing into the snow.

Disturbed Air- Clean air, free of dust and toxins, is the only thing Ian can breathe. His lungs are very weak, and without a plentiful amount of clean air, Ian will slowly wither away.

Extra: Ian could be considered a Five Star chef when given the chance, and he is always looking for ingredients to make a hearty meal; and yes, he takes requests.

Race: Merman - Possesses a human form
Merman Attributes: Scaly/hard skin, sharp teeth, webbed hands/feet.

Appearance: In his merman form, Gyro is around nine feet long including his tail. He has pale, pupil-less eyes and sports long black hair. He has blue tattoos down his torso and arms, and his scales are light blue. His skin is a pale color and his fingers are long and webbed. He sports red fins along his body which don't serve much purpose but tend to either flare or retract depending on his mood. His teeth are long and sharp, and he possesses gills along his face and collar bone area.

In his human form, Gyro is 6"3. His skin is blue and while he still sports his tattoos they take on a darker shade. His skin is hard and possesses some attributes similar to that of his scales. His eyes are light blue but still do not have any pupils. Gyro's hair remains black and hangs down past his shoulders. His legs are coated with brown scales and his feet and hands are webbed. He retains his sharp teeth and his gills despite the fact he doesn't need them to breathe above water.

Background: Raised in a school of mermen in the middle of the ocean, Gyro's early life was spent hunting and fighting with neighboring schools over food sources and territory. His school, called Jensing, was one of the smaller ones in the area but they were made up of fierce and spirited fighters so they made good competition for even the biggest of schools. However, when Gyro was around seventeen, two of the bigger schools decided that Gyro's school had troubled them enough. Forming a temporary alliance, they raided the Jensing's territory and killed the majority of the mermen there.

Gyro had been hunting while the attack happened and returned to the remains of a bloody battlefield. Sharks had already come to feast on the mermen remains and none of his former clansmen were even recognizable. With nowhere to go, Gyro had wandered aimlessly around the ocean for awhile. However, the sea was not a kind place to a lone merman. Beasts and other races alike constantly sought after him as a food source or slave, and eventually Gyro was forced to find somewhere else to live less he die.

Managing to travel to one of the capitals of the ocean, Bhurra, Gyro found work as a guard in order to protect the capital from the ocean's predators. His fighting prowess was soon made known when a kraken was spotted near the capital's waters and a pod of guards was sent out to dispatch it. Gyro was put on the front-lines and succeeded in helping to sedate the massive predator. Catching the eye of some higher-ups, Gyro was requested as a bodyguard to one of the capital officials.

Ever since then, Gydro has worked as a bodyguard, but after [TBA] requested his services and took him outside of the ocean Gydro has had a keen curiosity in life outside the sea. Now, he travels everywhere with [TBA] in search of adventure.

Weapons

Skills [non-magical]
Spear fighting - Gyro has trained with a spear since birth, and while he is more accustomed to using it while underwater this ability has transferred over to his human form as well. He uses it mostly for close-quarters combat but is also proficient at throwing it to hit long-range targets, though he generally only carries one spear so if he throws it he will then be weaponless.

Strength - Gyro possesses a lot of brute strength. This allows him to overpower his opponents even if he lacks his weapon as he is somewhat adept at barehand combat. Lifting heavy weights is no issue for him.

Observation - Perhaps due to the fact that he's not fully acclimated to life on land, Gyro is always on high alert. He doesn't let many things get past him and he is always picking up small clues from his surroundings. This makes him a talented tracker but also it allows him to read others' emotions based on body cues. Additionally, it allows him to be more efficient in combat by spotting any potential weaknesses in an enemy.

Abilities [magical]
Jet Blast - Jet Blast isn't an ability that summons water but it propels Gyro forward in a targeted direction. He usually uses it either to flee a fight or to enter one, but if he uses it incorrectly it can push him off balance. It gives him extra speed that he isn't able to achieve normally and allows him extra mobility in fights.

Bubble - Gyro summons a floating bubble of water. He can control the size of it and can make it big enough to contain somebody inside or small enough to just get a little bit to drink. If he captures something inside it, he can control how high the bubble is off the ground so that if they fall out they fall from varying heights. However, it is possible to escape the bubble by swimming out of it.

Water Manipulation - A pretty straight forward ability, Gyro can manipulate the water around him to do his bidding. He cannot summon any water to use his manipulation abilities but if there is any source of water nearby he is able to draw from it to use it. This includes the water in the air, but gathering enough water molecules to make anything substantial takes a lot of work.

Water's Blessing - By touching somebody's forehead, Gyro can examine their body for any potential injuries and speed up the healing process. While he can't heal injuries on the spot, as long as he maintains physical contact he is capable of speeding the healing process until it heals.

Weaknesses
Land - While Gyro does have a human form, he finds it extremely tiring to maintain and much prefers to be in his merman form. This means that he is constantly seeking out bodies of water and finds it difficult to traverse long distances on land without tiring. If he needs to walk long distances he requires a lot of drinking water or else he'll dry out and pass out.

Agility - Due to the fact that Gyro is much more accustomed to being in his merman form, his human form lacks some of the coordination and speed that he can achieve while in the water. This means that he is often slower and less agile than many others while in his human form.

Heat - Both in the water and out, Gyro can't stand high temperatures. He overheats very quickly and likes to lurk in the shade whenever possible. He requires a lot of water to drink in the event that he gets hot, and if that isn't available he will often fall unconscious until he is moved to a colder location.

Weapons
- A scythe with a long, thin blade. The handle is five feet tall and stands just below her shoulders when beside her. The blade itself is around two feet long and curved. It is her primary weapon as her combat style prefers her to be close to her enemies but nevertheless out of reach, which is afforded by the weapon's long handle. When not in combat she keeps the weapon strapped across her back.
- A metal one-handed cleaver with a leather grip. The blade is nicked but kept well enough sharpened that it still has a bite to it. It is her secondary weapon and is kept in reserve for combat situations where her opponents are too close in to use her scythe, or if her scythe is inoperable for some reason. When not in combat she keeps the weapon in a sheath attached to her belt.
- A small hunting knife not often used for combat and primarily for cutting food or materials but she will use it in a fight if necessary. When not in use she keeps it in a small sheath on her belt.

Weaknesses
Death Aversion - Eva can't kill anything unless they possess a death mark. Death marks are marks that mean that the creature is nearing or past its time of death, and Eva can therefore reap their souls. This hinders her a lot in battle because she can't kill or significantly harm anything that is not nearing death. However, given the nature of battle, most people on a battlefield are nearing death so she is usually able to provide at least some assistance.

The Living - Spending too much time around healthy, living beings makes her physically ill. It is fine if her time with living beings is balanced out with things dying around her, but if Eva has prolonged exposure to strictly living things she grows physically weak. If she continues to expose herself as such, she gets severely ill.

Extra: Eva has been trying to access Dtrir since the time they went into the Rift, seeing that there are people there who should have died but the grim reapers cannot access the Rift.

Name: Delastarh Nagahoshi.


Age: 25 years old.


Gender: Male.


Race: Human.


Appearance: Delastarh is a 6'2" tall human with soft curly blond hair and piercing sky blue eyes. He is considered to be a "stunning looking" human. He has a slight Asian complexion, but it is not too apparent at the first approach.

He is always wearing his favorite red coat over his outfit. The latter can vary, but he is mostly wearing a light armor with dark pants and tall black boots. He also wears fingerless gloves.


Background: Born of a noble and powerful family, Delastarh always felt hollow despite being able to have everything he wanted. He tried to fill that hole with parties and fun, but it only distracted him temporarily.

One day, he became the target of a group of criminals trying to find leverage against his father. After being kidnapped and kept as a prisoner for a few days, he got saved by a strange human able to wield lightning. That man was named Metaralis, and he was simply a mercenary who had the contract to eliminate the band of criminals that were causing problems.

At Metaralis' side, Delastarh discovered what he was searching for all his life: Adventure and excitement. He had simply gotten bored of the life of luxury. Delastarh convinced Metaralis to keep him as his partner. Since then, they became inseparable and they make an impressive duo.

Weapons:
Photon pistols. Able to shoot bullets of pure energy that can pierce the hardest metal if shot at the same exact spot enough times. They still require changing the photon battery inside when it's empty, like normal ammunition.


Skills [non-magical]:

Sharpshooter - He has a very keen eye, able to judge distances, wind, and power to reach his target. He is most skilled in using his photon pistols that he always has on himself.

Charisma - He has learned from a young age how to use words to his advantage, but also use his natural charm to get his way. He knows how to bargain, convince, and gain information through his eloquence.

Cooking - This has been a passion of Delastarh for a long time. He likes good food and he likes making it himself. He can be considered a picky eater when the food is not good enough for his taste.

Drawing - He is also very good with a pencil and enjoys drawing landscapes and creatures in his journal. He is always attentive to details because of that and can notice small things that other probably wouldn't.


Abilities [magical]:
None. Humans having no magical powers.


Weaknesses:
Fear of failing - He is very scared of failing and disappointing anybody. If he feels like he can't succeed, he can start feeling trapped and act rashly.

Claustrophobic - Uncontrollable fear of tight spaces. Will start to hyperventilate and panic if stuck in a room or any space that doesn't let him move freely.

Stubborn - He refuses to give up, or to be wrong. Slightly linked to his fear of failing. Can often lead to trouble when he refuses to back down.

Magical elements - He has no special resistance against any of the magical elements known, meaning that everything magic can be effective against him in their own way.​

Race: Human, artificially enhanced.


Appearance: Metaralis is a little bit shorter than average, with only 5'7". He has very long and smooth black hair, and his eyes are sharp and grey like a stormy sky. His skin tone is slightly darker than a normal caucasian human.

His usual outfit includes a blue jacket with long sleeves that end at his ribs, a light armor top, dark pants, and armored boots that have special magnets under them. He wears two belts, the one that is slightly hanging at his side to hold his sword.

Background: Having grown up in a less than safe environment, Metaralis learned from a very young age how to survive against the world. Despite that, he developed a sense of justice, wanting to protect those who needed it and have no mercy for those who hurt others.

The ethic of the mercenary profession is very blurry, sometimes stepping over the boundaries of legality. He is not an assassin, though, and will only kill his targets if they are criminals that need to be stopped or to protect his or somebody else's life.

At some point in his life, Metaralis found his way to Starhlys and came into contact with an organization that works on breaking the boundaries between technology and magic. He accepted to be used as a test subject and was artificially enhanced to be able to acquire "lightning magic". It was a success, but the organization was shut down for unethical practices.

Weapons: Photon Sword. The blade is made of pure energy that can cut through the strongest metal. The blade can be "deactivated" when unused to be safely strapped at its user's side. The sword also requires a strong photon battery that needs to be changed when empty.


Skills [non-magical]:
Swordmaster - He is very skilled with swords. Knows many sword techniques that he applies in battle, always trying to be unpredictable.

Agility - Since he doesn't possess a ranged weapon, he is very agile and quick on his feet to avoid any attack from a distance.

Sewing - He has a pretty impressive skill in sewing. Useful mostly to repair clothes.

Technology - He is able to understand and work with almost any piece of technology he can find. Either a machine, or a computer.

Abilities [magical]:
Electricity Manipulation - Can generate electricity from his body and manipulate it at his will. Can also control and use other electrical sources.

Magnet boots - Though not magical, he is able to use his power over electricity to control the special magnets under his boots. With them, he can stick to some surface, even walking vertically, but also reverse the polarity and be able to hover slightly, making his steps totally silent since he isn't even touching the ground.

Electronics control - Can take control of various devices that require electricity to work, such as machines and other electrical devices.

Weaknesses:
Energy consumption - Due to the artificial enhancements made to his body, he loses his energy very fast, especially while using a lot of electricity manipulation powers. His body is now high demanding in energy, making him eat and sleep a lot more than a normal human to compensate.

Recklessness - Often fights without thinking about his own wellbeing. Can get into a dangerous situation without a second thought to
reach his goal.

Too proud - Neglects to ask for help when he needs it, trying to work hard things by himself. Doesn't want to share his burdens.​

Starhlys

Starhlys is a reclusive sect of humans who evolved through high technological means. The city itself floats through the cloud, keeping itself separated from the rest of the world. The tensions have been growing more and more between Starhlys and the other nations due to its dismissing of magic in favor of technology. They also see badly the sects trying to create their own "magic" with technology. This is mostly due to the fact that most humans are unable to use magic.

Many scientists from Starhlys had been interested by the "legend" of the Kingdom of Dtrir, coveting its supposedly unlimited knowledge. And it sparked the interest of various adventure-seeking people.​

Name: Anna Mertz

Age: 19

Race: Human

Appearance: Shaggy black hair frames tribal tattoos telling the stories of her first hunt. Wearing green cargo pants and a woollen tank top, which is usually hidden under a black hooded cape. She dawns both a belt, holding her knife and first aid bag. She also wears brown combat boots.

Background:

The isolated plains of Nünavu lay untouched and forgotten in plain sight, however not to the Monoä, a tribe of immortal fearing humans who stuck to the traditions and ways of old, however old that may be. Anna Mertz was born into this tribe, as the eldest daughter of a champion hunter. The tribe was one that relied on the land heavily, farming and hunting what remained of the plains. However, some technology has been welcomed to the Monoä, like the use of cyber-rifles and prism traps.

Being the eldest daughter of her household, Anna is tasked with scouting for seeds and scrap. She finds the most when going to popular markets, so, dawning a black as pitch cape, heads out into the outside world. She feins mute when around others, as not to draw any attention to herself, and possibly get hurt or expunged. When around mythical beings, she pretends to be immortal herself, with hood on and cape as a disguise.

Weapons:

Blessed Momæ- A special multi-tool which acts as her main weapon, equipped with A Flashlight, Blade, Can opener, Lockpick, Whistle, and Compass. The blade is extremely sharp, and is her primary weapon and tool, used in almost every facet of her life.

Handheld Farming Scythe- From her days in her tribe, Anna has applied this tool’s use in farming to a more agile use in combat. Stored on her belt, this weapon is kept to sharpen the Blessed Momæ.

Skills [non-magical]:

Surgeons Cut- Anna is extremely precise with her blade, knowing just on the body where to attack for the most damage. Having been trained for so long in the wilderness, this comes natural for her.

Herbal Brew- Healing wounds is her thing, able to sew stitches with ease and heal ailments with her herbal medicines, which she carries on her belt.

Hooded Shadow- With her hood on, Anna can appear shadow-like, being able to sneak attack enemies with her weapon of choice.

Agility- Running everyday has its effects on a person, giving Anna rabbit-like speed and precision.

Abilities [magical]: Anna possesses no magical abilities of her own.

Weaknesses:

Magical Elements
- Having no special protection against magic or the elements, this is Anna’s biggest challenge to overcome.

Non-Human Beings
- Because of her teachings, she fears all those that are immortal, being extra cautionary around them. She will show signs of being afraid if forced alone in a room with one.

Extra: Once scouted, she will act as a servant out of fear of the mythical beings before her, and will barely speak, even to other humans. However, she will act of her own will, and will not tolerate becoming a slave.

Appearnce:
Azari is about 6 feet and 3 inches tall, with a slightly muscles body type. His eyes are hazel and his curly, black hair is styled in dreads down his back while cut in intricate designs on his temple (designs meaning something in his village). He has dark skin and tattoos, mainly blue, silver, and yellow in color, decorate his arms, back, and midsection. He possesses multiple golden rings on his fingers and wears golden earings. Two small scars adorn his face, one streaking through his right eye and the other near his jawline.

For clothes, he often goes shirtless, as most of the men in his village do. It is apart of his customs to show of his tattoos as a sense of pride for his people. If he does wear a shirt, he'll usually don a loose white shirt. He usually wears plan brown pants that don't restrict his leg's movement.

Abilities [Magicial]:

  • Aerokinesis: This broad ability of his allows Azari to manipulate the air around him, making him capable to conjuring great gusts of wind and focused tornados. He hasn't completely mastered this ability, thus limiting the amount of attacks he can perform with it.
  • Flight: Along with controlling wind, he can use his aerokinesis to fly for short periods of time. This skill is mostly used when he is fighting, making him nimble and able to quickly dodge attacks.
  • Wind-Sense: Can detect movements around him in the air. Useful for detecting hidden enemies and anticipating attacks. However, the range for this ability is extremely limited.

Skills [Non-magical]:


  • Combat (Hand-to-Hand & Weapons): Azari is a proficient fighter, mastering the fighting style of his village which is called Kual'tai Mua (involves lots of kicking and short, fast punches). He is also adept at fighting with swords, usually dual wielding, and is impressively accurate when it comes to throwing spears and using bows.
  • Expert Strategist: Due to years of combat training, he has grown accustomed to making battle plans and strategies in a matter of seconds.

Weaknesses:


  • Claustrophobia: Azari is a self-proclaimed ''free spirit'' and will panic if put in a restraining situation. It doesn't always have to be a physical situation, either. If anything mental constraining is forced upon him, he will begin to shut down.
  • Fire: Since fire uses up oxygen, something that Azari needs to control air, this can be considered one of his weakness. If there is a lot of fire in a certain area, his abilities are basically useless.
  • Brute Strength: While he is able to take on opponents of a similar body size, his fighting style does not allow him to fair well against bigger opposition. Attackers with lots of strength prove to be very troublesome for Azari.
