Before entering the Jewel Box, everyone is interviewed by random questions-you will not know who is asking you questions, you just answer. This will let the Jewel Box workers and watchers understand what type of person you want in love, and who you end up with at the very end. Sometimes, Jewels will be interviewed several times between breaks.
When you enter, you'll meet Moon Owl (an important NPC, or SC, played by me). He is the main architect of the Jewel Box, and the one who'll be guiding you through the whole journey. A "Hall of Fame" is located to where you spawn, showcasing all the participants who have accepted the invite. Pictures are settled into mirrors and glaze the walls, but only a shadowy figure of you remains, with your title underneath (aka your gemstone).
In the JB, the whole thing was crafted so that the viewers and citizens outside can add commentary (without you being to hear it). It was done so by magic stones, able to broadcast any film that happens in the Jewel Box. Your kingdom could be just watching, but not know who exactly you are. When defeating the challenges of truth and lie, putting up a fake name for the other jewels to see, there will come a time for this to all end. When it does, a voting happens-to see if there is a perfect match in making love. If it ties together between two people, then a grand marriage is held at the Imperial Capital, when everyone leaves the game.
There were several generations before that had married through the Jewel Box, which makes this a special occasion that only happens yearly. Nobles are expected to envision a world of love, here. However, if a contestant fails to meet a match, they will still be able to leave-but empty handed with no ring. In most times, there are no hard feelings anyway. Eventually, those who got nothing, will find support in one of the citizens and true love would just bond there. In any case, no bad ending happens here.
After being re-explained the Jewel Box rules, you are sent to a lavish palace. There are mostly open walls-and the beach side can be seen from the center. Staircases of quartz and marble, gold railings, and floral wreaths help decorate the place. A promenade. A table for dining is to be settled somewhere only after everyone is introduced. Basically an island made for these contestants. Bedroom chambers, too, are separated by gender. Females and male stones are not to be together. (This does not mean I am excluding other gender types, it's just how it goes. Non-Binary, They/Them, things like those can typically be sent to either dorm. Romance can still happen through the in-between). Thrones are lined up, and gemstones of people will spawn. Once everyone has come, the game begins. The main thing to remember is that one cannot leave the Jewel Box without proper reason, and that communication with the outside world is now impossible.
Jewels are expected to pick one another through simple attraction of the mind, not appearance-as that is only modified by the Jewel Box creators. Who will you be pulled by? A red stone...or a blue one? Or perhaps the in-between-an amethyst? It all depends on how you take this. On some nights, Moon Owl gives the contestants a chance to go on a private date. This is either won through beating others in a game, or another voting. Players are called one by one to see who they want to take out on the date, and so if two people are matched, they go out. If not...the obvious happens, and they return to their dorms. The safe guard magic of refraining from letting Jewels say their identity is removed for the pair who have voted on each other, and they will be moved with a certain suitcase or just in general will be sent somewhere in private. This is where people can say who they are, and what is said here, may not be said when back to the island.
There are magic circles on the island that help you teleport to one other location in the Jewel Box. This can be used between any gemstone, so take it how you please. A single circle only allows 3 jewels to teleport at once. Contestants, though finding love, are free to do anything in their time. Disputes might stir, humor and friends as well, and maybe even rivals to a certain trope. Anything more of challenges will be explained In-Character, as there is so much to say. It's up to you whether you accept this. Your final answer?
Romance will typically be the main plot, so I'm hoping for mature writers that have reached the adult age of 18. NSFW is prohibited, and I will not accept 1v1s in this. If you have a destined ship, great, awesome, good for you! But you must communicate in OOC, and when IC, with other characters. Even if it isn't your character's final partner, your OC should understand why they reject others-or might not like anyone at all!
UPDATE: This roleplay has started, but we are accepting some late jewels. Nothing important happened, and we are looking forward to some more introductions. I have closed off the female ocs, as we are in need of some more males. If you wish to join, come claim a gemstone.
SECOND UPDATE: Both genders are finally open! I'll arrange some moments you can plop a character in, in character, if you do wish to join.

Any new joiners will have to wait to be accepted; you may feel free to drop a sheet, yet it will only be accepted once I come back. After that, I will find you a fitting place to join in roleplay/IC. Still leaning to hoping for another male, but if there's a newcomer who made a male and you want to join too, you can make a female! Just balancing the ratio, so check the cs thread to see what's best. Currently have all equal, except one person hasn't been ic yet [waiting for the dinner scene].
