THE INVICTA HOUSE.
INTEREST CHECK
INTRODUCTION.The Invicta House was established in 1885 by the Bane family. Not much is known about them except they abandoned the house in 1902, hence the Invicta House is now legally property of the local council; Larwick.
But that is enough history, for now. All that matters today, is that a group of college students are searching for the perfect summer house as far away from campus as possible, without adding to their already hefty student loan debts, and Invicta House is looking like their best option: beautiful views, clean beaches, the house itself is bigger than their entire student accommodation suite, there are pubs nearby and most importantly, after a family discount, the rental is going for a modest price.
They rent the house with no hesitation, and the first day of summer rolls around quicker than they expected. Once the group arrives at the house, their tour starts out wonderful; the house is even bigger and better than it looked in the pictures. Itโs only when all of them are busy admiring the decor, that the smartest among them notice that the tour guide is gone. And the even smarter ones realise the doors and windows are locked shut.
Now, a group of college students are trapped inside a creepy, haunted mansion with no escape. The only way of leaving is by finding out what lurks within.And only time will tell if they kill each other before someone else does.
RULES.ONE. This roleplay is a mystery and horror, with mature themes. Hence it is an 16+, preferably 18+.
TWO. Please consider your own availability and interest before applying. As you are not going to have any fun if you fall behind by only writing a few lines every few days. Or if you have no desire to contribute to discussion surrounding the plot. If you are unable to write a short paragraph or more per day, this roleplay is not for you.
THREE. Likewise, you must be a semi-literate to literate roleplayer
FOUR. Lots of planning and plotting will occur in discord, so please have a discord account which you have access to.
FIVE. There are not many rules regarding character creation. Just please make your character college-aged (18โ25) and you can either use realistic face claims, descriptions or semi-realistic faceclaims (ie. artbreeder). I have created some roles on the next page but they are not defining. Your character can lie outside of these roles, I just created them to aid you in coming up with your own character.

ROLES.THE ACADEMIC.In every college, there is an academic. The student, and member of the group, prioritises their studies over most else. It may or may not have taken a considerable amount of negotiation to convince them to come, but here they are. Ready to party hard and potentially save everyone from dying an untimely death!
THE PLUG.In order to party hard with no inhibitions, the group needed to bring someone with connections. The plug has brought everything they could possibly need for a killer night, and more. They have a network of other dealers around Larwick so they are the first ones they call when trapped inside a death house. So, how will they square up against a life-threatening, and painfully sober night?
THE MONEY.If it wasnโt for them, this trip would never have come to fruition; so they are to blame for any harm that may occur. Regardless, The Money is the one who managed to secure a deal on the Invicta house, due to family-friend relations with the agent. They are also responsible for paying for any damages to the furniture or blood stains on the carpet.
THE ARTIST.Every friend group needs an artist friend. Someone who is willing to see the beauty in the darkest moments. And it canโt get much darker than this. Theyโre just as terrified as everyone else, but they still have their art folio due for next year, so to help them get a headstart, make sure to pose pretty in your coffin!
THE LOGICIAN.This is all some kind of fun game to them; you wouldโve thought they have been waiting their whole life to be trapped inside a death house with their buddies. While everyone is screaming and trying to claw their way out, the logician has already begun looking for clues, as if this is an escape room. But donโt doubt them too quickly.
THE IMPULSIVE.Drink the suspicious-looking red liquid in the golden, rusty chalice that is sitting on the otherwise empty, long dining table with no chairs and blood dripping from the sides? Hell yes!
THE ATHLETE.After they try to break the windows and fail, that is when the panic truly begins. The athlete has a long history of sports and/or fitness, and never misses an opportunity to mention it. On a physical level, they are certainly the strongest of the bunch, but can they prove to the strongest emotionally as well?
