Fandom The International Sandbox (A Hetalia RP)

William sighed. Roma was a mess out in the hall, Zee was commanding the floor, and people like China still seemed reluctant to get involved in the two powers. Was today turn the world on its head day and William just missed the memo? After Zee spoke some sense into them the meeting began to actually pick up speed. People began breaking into smaller groups based on region and organizing a relief force for Russia. William looked over to the European countries, whom all seemed to be surrounding Hannah with questions, clearly looking for a leader.

William decided to go consult with his brother England. As William turned he saw England too busy with America to care and he was sure his input would be disregarded in that circle. "Figures. What to do now?" William thought. He scanned the room for something to do when he noticed Greenland, or maybe Iceland, heck if he knew, sitting alone.(you can jump in on this I guess, Auguste :3) He shot Zee a reassuring smile and mouthed the words: 'Nice one bro' to him before walking over to the unfamiliar person.

"Who're you?" William said. It was only after the words escaped him that he realized how rude that sounded. "Sorry, I'm Scotland, you can call me William. We may have met before but I have a bad memory."

Auguste had wandered into the building only a few minutes prior. She had heard the fighting and figured this was the place where the meeting was. Everyone always fought, she remembered that from childhood. She had always put her hands over her ears and observed all the tall fighting figures. She hadn't remembered it being so. . . Distinguished. Oh well. She thought as she went over and sat in a chair. Auguste was sitting by herself, because she was a little nervous to try and participate. No one wanted to talk to her or anything. Everyone was even too busy to notice she had come in. When she noticed someone start walking over to her, she internally panicked. What if I'm actually not supposed to be here? She thought, but when he simply asked who she was, she calmed a little. "I'm Greenland. You can call me Auguste, or any shortening you can find of that. Alfred always does." She gave a small smile. "We may have met before, but I haven't been here since I was small. The first time I came was with Denmark, anyhow. It's really nice to meet you, William." She stood and held out a hand, politely.

William smiled at her. She was pretty, nice, and innocent enough. Oh how he hoped this place wouldn't change people like her. It often does. William extended his hand and shook it gently. William knew that Greenland was close to Britannia and also to America. Perhaps she, like himself, was conflicted on where to go. William looked around for something to do. He noticed Zee was still sitting after having dropped his plans onto the general congregation and seemed untroubled enough that perhaps his company would be welcome.

"Denmark huh, well anyway, its nice to meet you as well, Auguste. Would you like to meet my friend Zee? He lives in a cold place too, so maybe you can connect over that." William said. "Wait, is that racist?"

Greenland smiled back. She hoped he wouldn't just leave her wherever like America had done. She had been annoyed enough as it was. She was actually starting to warm up to William. Did I really just make a pun? She silently cursed. She quickly regained her smile.

"I would love to meet Zee. He sounds. . ." She tried to resist laughing. "Very nice." She couldn't help giggling. "And no, I don't believe that counts as being racist, but I don't know."

William smiled. Is she giggling at me? Am I that awkward? After her confirmation that he wasn't stereotyping cold weather countries and their possible ability to understand one another based solely on climate similarities, he decided she would fit in well with his current group of people he enjoyed talking to. William grabbed her hand gently and began to escort her through the bustle that was occurring within the room toward his arctic friend. As they passed the lobby doors he saw Roma nearly crying and once again felt sympathy for the poor fellow. This whole situation is pretty f*cked isn't it? Good thing we regained control of our heads enough to help... for now at least.

"Hey Zee, meet, well, you should probably just introduce yourself." William said rubbing his head in embarrassment at the concept of him taking away her right to be polite.

Auguste smiled a little wider, and glanced at the other cold country-continent before William grabbed her hand. She blushed, then silently cursed again. Why am I blushing? He's just taking me over there to meet Zee. As they walked through the crowd, she couldn't help but glance around. She felt like she was little again, being led through the crowds to her seat by Denmark. She shook her head a little and glanced through the doors. Aww, poor Romano. . . She remembered him, because of his language. When she had asked Denmark about it, he had simply told her not to say them, until she was older. She shook her head again and smiled at the man she guessed was Zee.

"Hi, I'm Auguste. I'm, uh, the country of Greenland." She felt embarrassed, and glanced at William again. "You can call me whatever, though, I don't really care." She smiled, shyly.

Zee was feeling rather pleased with himself, and everyone in general. Already groups had started planning on how to clean up and get relief to those in need of it, which was wonderfully heart warming since not twenty minutes ago they'd all been ready to rip each others' heads off. Oh well. That would have been intresting to see.

Glancing around the room, Zee noticed William talking to some girl, and bit back a laugh as they blushed and giggled at each other. When they started his way Antarctica made sure to keep his face nuetral and relaxed, but kind. "Hello there," he said, smiling and standing up to be next to them. "It's nice to meet you Auguste. I'm Alexander, or just Zee. Country of Antarctica." He smiled, feeling a little strange at introducing himself and meeting so many people.

((I know right?))

Auguste shuffled her feet, but smiled at Zee. "You have a very interesting nickname for yourself." She said, then turned pink. That was stupid. She thought to herself. She took a deep breath and looked up. "So, I'm supposing you don't come to the World Meetings much either?" She wanted to slap her palm across her forehead. Seriously, stop being so awkward. She knew she felt awkward around people she didn't know, and it didn't help that no one she was comfortable with was around or able to excuse her awkwardness. I was fine around William, but I get around a big country-continent and I freak out. Is that even normal? She calmed herself and looked around the room before settling her gaze directly above Zee's head.

William watched the interaction between his two new friends happily. Zee was really opening up and he felt like now perhaps some of the smaller nations could rally together to cut down the egos of the larger countries and actually get some work done. He looked over to see Auguste looking very nervous, and kept glancing at him. Each time he gave her a small smile of encouragement, hoping she could make a friend of Zee.

"Yeah, this is actually the first time we have met. I mostly let England take care of the politics, since he likes it so much. By the way Zee, your smart and all, how bad could this get? The first team from eastern Europe has been dispatched to help, so we should be able to contain it, but what's the damage so far going to be like?" William said. He also noticed Auguste was staring a little past Zee, and upon a little inspection came to the conclusion it was possible she had spaced out. He stuck his head in her line of sight and not so quietly said, "Hey, anybody home?"

Zee smiled in a kind way. Poor Auguste seemed like she wasn't used to talking with people, and he could sympathise on some level. "Thanks. America actually gave it to me, saying that Alexander was too British sounding. And, yeah, kinda," he said, brushing his hair back in a nervous habit when he noticed she wasn't looking right at him. "I was brought to one as a little guy, but no one actually talked to me or anything there besides ask who I was." Thinking back to it, Zee was surprised at his own actions today and more than a little proud. His new friends Hannah and William had made it clear they had his back as a legit country when others said otherwise, and he'd taken the lead for part of the meeting. A big jump.

Trying not to laugh at William's tactic of bringing Auguste back o earth, Zee thought for a second and juggled some numbers in his head. "Well, Hannah would have more accurate answers for you since she's closer, but by my guess we're incrediably lucky. Based on where the plant was and since it wasn't operating at full capacity, the fallout zone is relatively minor. Areas up to fifty kilometres in all directions will need to evacuate, but with a high concentration of ground water seventy five would be a better guess. Unless of course there's-" Zee stopped abruptly, realising he was basically word vomitting at the moment and blushing. "Sorry. I tend to ramble at times. Stop me whenever."

((DONT TRUST MY SCIENCE!! I have no clue what would actually happen or need to...))

Auguste blushed as William noticed she hadn't been looking at Zee. "I'm fine." She said, embarrassed. "I was just. . . Thinking about the situation." She said, slightly defensively. She smiled at Zee. "You know, so was I, actually. Brought here when I was little, I mean. It was just like that, except no one really noticed me." She smiled sadly. "But, it's okay, because I'm used to being independent, even if I do like friends." She said, then giggled a little.

She stared at Zee as he started speaking of the plant and the things they would have to do. "Wow. . . You must be really good at numbers." She said, awestruck. "I don't even know how you could do that." She smiled and giggled when she noticed him blushing. "It's okay. If you know something, it'll help. Plus, I'm sure it's not really rambling, it's cool."

((Yay science. xD ))

William was actually highly educated, mostly due to his exposure via England, but was far from a scientist. Scotland was a renowned economist, and actually wrote "The Wealth Of Nations" in his youth. This hard science however, tended to escape him. As Zee spoke he saw Auguste look at him with inspired attention. It was quite funny to watch her get so excited over how smart Zee was. William turned his thoughts to the situation at hand. With Nations beginning to send relief forces everyone looked quite stressed and worried. Perhaps they all needed an extended break while this situation got resolved, and then after said break they could reconvene and solve the oil issue.

"So guys, what do you say we get Hannah and organize some kind of vacation for the Nations, everybody looks stressed to the point where I think they might go mad. And I really don't want to go home. Its always so rainy. I want to get some sun. I love my homeland, but right now I feel we could all use some relaxation."

@NecroKnight

Auguste was snapped out of her attentiveness when she thought fully about the situation. She knew she probably looked ridiculous staring at Zee, but she hadn't been around the smartest people all her life. She thought about the severity of the disaster, and sighed quietly. Auguste looked at William, after he suggested they take a break. I don't really feel like going home either. Though some of these people might drive me crazy with the arguments. She thought, but still couldn't help agreeing with William.

"Maybe a break will do us all some good." She laughed. "And I agree with you there, William. Though, I don't have rain as much as snow. Greenland is a great country and stuff, but a vacation somewhere there are more seasons might calm me." And maybe I'll learn to act more like everyone else.

Hannah soon enough joined the three outside, where she was rubbing her head and looking visibly tired. Was that a long discussion, to get everybody to not choke eachother or put up borders and go full North Korea on everybody. They needed to work together, as fallout didn't pick whom it affected. She then Auguste and gave a warm smile at her.

"Oh, hello. What's your name?" asked Hannah from Auguste.

Auguste smiled at Hannah. "My name's Auguste; I'm the country of Greenland. So, I'm guessing your Hannah?" She hazarded a guess, because William and Zee had talked about her, and as far as Auguste could see; Hannah was one of the only people taking control. Auguste suddenly felt a little uncomfortable again. She told herself it was just the fact that this was someone that took control, and she was the kind of person who didn't know how. She simply gave a small sigh of exasperation.

"Greenland, eh?" asked Hannah courious all of a sudden. "Tell me something, do you consider yourself European or American? I know we put you on an European map, but what do you think yourself as?"

"Well... I lived with Denmark for my early years, then America and Canada later... So, probably American... At least at the moment." She smiled at Hannah.

"Cool - that means that I have a half-sister now," replied Hannah a smile on her face. Then opened her arms. "Give me a hug half-sibling..."

Auguste looked at her puzzled for a second, then decided to embrace it. She hugged Hannah. "You're very interesting." She said, suppressing a giggle. The truth was, it was a nice change of pace, and she liked it.

"If your from Europe then that makes you my older sibling, sister, uncle or aunt. So in that regard, I would consider you an older half-sister," spoke Hannah with a slight giggle.

"Oh." Auguste said, giggling. "That makes sense." She giggled again. She actually liked thinking that she was older than someone here, and being a sister? That was even better. She knew it was childish, but she didn't care. Now she had a little group of people she could call friends, people to talk to in a World Meeting; if she ever went to another.

"So what do you think about the modern Europe?" asked Hannah, soon enough, eyes twinkling with excitement. She didn't have anybody whom was of two continents. Well maybe expect for Russia, but he took almost three to four continents under him.

"It's really nice!" Auguste complimented. There were times she felt Europe was the better continent with its ways. There were times she thought the two continents were tied. She did think Europe could try to influence the Americas a little more. Or at least America. She smiled. "I really enjoy Europe and all of the cultures. I do think Modern Europe is better than any other Europe, such as Medieval Europe."
