A lively hub for seasoned (and novice) adventurers alike!
The Tavern is a worn yet cosy gathering place to swap stories, pick up quests, or simply to enjoy a drink or two amongst friends.

The Inn's no-nonsense proprietor (Beryl The Brave) is also Master of the Hunters Guild. She’ll sign up practically anybody these days, as the monsters are aplenty and the quest board is teeming.

If you need coin, a place to stay, or just thirst for adventure (or ale) then you’re in the right place!

Setting

Medieval High Fantasy RP, with monsters and magic. (Think Lord of the Rings, Skyrim, Witcher and Dragon Age meets Monster Hunter Rise).

Overview

As a Hunter, you'll form a party (of two or more) and embark on quests which will have you exploring the world in a variety of wild environments (sometimes beautiful, sometimes terrifying).

These quests can range from clearing out bandits and mischievous fey, to battling great beasts and unholy abominations.
The level of risk is high, but success will be paid in coin and your heroic deeds celebrated in song.

Whatever your reason for joining, the guild provides all it’s members with free lodgings and food & drink. It also benefits from having its own Smithy and a skilled Healer.

prep banner.jpg

Before hopping in, please ensure that you…

  • Head to the Interest check recruitment Thread
  • Have your Guild Card (Character Sheet) ready. You can find a CS template here.
  • Please don’t bring in any overpowered characters. Magic is ok, but try not to overdo it.
  • Pets and familiars are welcome. Larger critters may stay in the Inn’s stables.
  • Write in third person. Paragraphs are preferred, but a couple of sentences is acceptable.
  • Speech in quotation marks, ((Out of character in double brackets)).
  • Respect your fellow players. No God Modding. Don’t move other people’s characters without prior consent.

The Hunter's Inn

When you're not out slaying beasts or naughty necromancers, The Hunter's Inn acts as a hub (or home, if you will) for all Guild members.

Here you'll find more information about the Tavern, as well as some of the staff and services they offer.

  • The Guild Hall and Bar

Rows of well worn wooden benches and tables, littered in empty tankards and burnt out candles. Hunter’s gather here to socialise and eat before they head out on a quest.

Dishes of hearty food are prepared and served up all day long. There’s no menu, just grab what you can before it’s all gone.

Drinks can be ordered at the bar via Barry the barman. Alcohol has to be paid for (no cash needed, it works on a tab system), but all Hunters receive a complimentary shot of ‘Dragon’s Fire’* on their return from a quest (go easy on those).

You’ll also find the Quest Board here, as well Beryl (the Guild Master) and Stan (the Bard).

*Dragon's Fire: a very strong spirit that burns as it goes down. See Hannah The Healer about her hangover cure.

About The City of Colby

Colby is a frontier city at the edge of the (known) world. This ever-growing settlement actually started out as one of the guard towers along Baylin’s Wall. Settlers built their homes and farms around the outpost, where they felt safe under the protection of the wall guards. They named their village after a brave Knight who was stationed there at the time, Sir Colby.

Today, despite its hazardous location, the City is now home to hundreds. It’s a friendly and lively place offering daily markets, and a variety of shops and eateries. The city is surround by farmland and a forest known as The Cackling Woods.

Baylin’s Wall

History tells us that King Baylin of Renton once erected a great wall to separate and protect his people in the South from the unexplored, monster-filled Wild Lands to the North. In its hayday the wall was manned by the Kingdom’s greatest warriors, who would deal with any unwanted visitors or attacks from the other side.

However, the wall as it stands today is in a poor state of disrepair, with large gaping holes and its outposts left abandoned. Rulers come and go promising to fix the wall, but none stay true to their word.[/tab]

Rookie: 0-2 years experience.
Hunter: 3+ years experience.
Master Hunter: via promotion.

There are no restrictions on who may accept a quest (of any difficulty rating), but it is advised that the more experienced hunters accompany, support and mentor new recruits.

Meet the NPCs

Here you can find out more details about the characters who run the inn, as well as any the Hunters may discover while out on their adventures.

  • Beryl The Brave

    Beryl.png

A half-orc Huntress in her sixties, with a lifetime of experience on the hunt. These days she acts as Guild Master and runs The Hunter’s Inn.

She’s welcoming to all those brave enough to join the hunt, but she’s not afraid to crack her whip (quite literally) should anyone get out of line.

Beryl is straight-talking, but fair and likes a joke. She’s more that happy to share her knowledge about beasts, and how to subdue them.

If you are a new recruit, you’ll need to chat to Beryl and officially join the Guild before you can embark on a quest.

The sound of singing and raucous laughter blared out through the large open doors of The Hunter’s Inn tavern. It was a half-timbered stone built building that had probably seen better days, but it looked welcoming enough and was clearly quite popular.

Its wonky signboard sported a red dragon skull, and the patrons heading inside were mostly burly, armoured individuals carrying a variety of dangerous looking weapons - Hunters.

For the Inn was home and headquarters of The Hunters Guild. A fellowship of seasoned (and novice) adventurers who battled beasts and abominations for gold and glory.

_______

A dark haired young man stood before the bustling building, hands on hips, taking it all in with a wide smile on his face.

“It all starts here...” He said to nobody, with all the gusto of somebody who’d been waiting for this moment for a very long time.

((Hey everyone! It’s time to introduce your characters. 😁

If they are new to the guild you can describe their arrival at the inn, or if you have a longtime Hunter let us all know where they are and what they’re up to.

If you need help or have any questions, please head to the OOC Thread. ))

'This place seems livlier than normal. I'm almost certain I've heard some new voices. And that last person.. what was his name.. His outline didn't look familiar.' Thoughts occupied Reegans attention as he watched the many patrons entering the guild, either to take on lively quests slaying monsters or hang around for a beer and something to eat. His sensitive hearing allowed him to pick up on some conversations here and there, both masculine and feminine voices from a wide variety going in one ear and out the other as he followed behind the crowd towards the guild taverns stoney entrance.

His goal was to grab a drink at the bar for the time being as his dried out throat called for a fulfilling beverage. An alcoholic beverage is most definetly an adequate option to choose out of said drinks, but his dying esophagus would make it taste even worse than it already does.

Anyway, Reegan entered the building, his flowing red hair bouncing slightly with each step as his boots connected with the flagstone floor. He was a decent height, standing at around six feet and one or two inches with his body being well toned from training and combat. His entire attire was fully black, a tight skinned, custom made vest-shirt covered his upper body, which came with a mask reaching the males nose. Black, long sleeved gloves sheltered most of Reegans arms and hands from the rest of the world, as well as a cloak-like set of trousers reaching his boots. Two swords sat either side of his waist, held back by crimson red sheathes that almost reached the floor, save for a couple of inches.

The males semi-heavy steps had finally reached the taverns famous bar, a free stool at the end causing him to sigh with relief. He made his way over, getting comfy as he waited for the bar tender to.. well.. tend to him, I suppose.

'Hmm.. I think I'll grab a glass of water. Maybe some of those squeezed fruit drinks that have been popular as of late.' He thought, his fully red eyes squinting slightly as he decided on what to drink for the time being. 'God, I haven't even gotten to food yet, what to get, what to get..'

A tall dark skinned man with a bit of a lanky build was strolling around town. It had been a couple years since he lost his memory, so he had no real purpose. But he did know his name and the fact he came from a bloodline of shapeshifters. Which was hinted at with the big purple horns sticking out of his head and spiky dark gray hair.

"Hmmm, I am starving." Ivan mumbles as his stomach growls. "Where to get food... there?" He glances at the guild building, wondering if they have food.
He makes his way over into the building, possibly bumping against a couple of people. The man was wearing a simple black shirt and pants along with some spiky bracelets around his arms. With the most expensive piece of clothing being his leather shoes. Ivan didn't really seem he had a lot of money.

Inside Ivan's magenta eyes gaze over the interior. He goes over to the bar, and along the way he just picks up a chair from another table to set at the bar before sitting down.
"Hey barkeep! Do you have a menu?" He asked maybe a bit blunt.

Click, clack, click, clack, the sound of heeled boot clicking on a cobbled path followed an entity shroud in white. Alienor Wright, the dhampir, the oathsworn paladin began to make her approach to the Hunter's Inn. As she walked, her cloak billowed behind her, giving her the appearance of a white raven descending upon the Inn. This place was a perfect escape from the deafening silence that followed Alienor after her departure from home. Perhaps she could find some respite within the song of a bard and the company of hunters who sought out evil and vanquished it.

The raven haired paladin looked around as she made her way to the Inn's hall. Outside she noticed the presence of a young human near the front entrance of the Inn. In the spirit of politeness, she tipped her hat at the lad and gave a curt smile before making her entrance in the Hunter's Inn.

Upon her entrance, she was met with a cacophony of sounds and mermiment. People huddled together in tables, sharing drinks and playing games. Laughs were had and drinks were drunk and everyone seemed to glow in their own boisterous spirit. Not bad, not bad at all. The paladin made her way to one of the sparser tables and sat down, listening to the sounds of conversation around her before she would set off to become a part of the Hunter's Guild. After all, her journey had been anything but pleasant. She deserved to have some respite in the company of people and enjoy the splendor they brought.

'Hmm, no, I'm not that big a fan of pineapple. Maybe orange. But then again the after taste is usually not very nice. Wait, they sell an apple flavored beverage? I need to read the menu more often, seriously..' As Reegan was amidst his very productive thoughts on the type of juice the tavern sells, his one elven ear twitched slightly as the males hearing picked up a voice calling for the bartender a couple of seats away from him.

His gaze fell towards the voice, crimson red eyes scanning the outline of this person thoroughly as to determine any sort of features of a different race. Red flashing lights paired with the location of his organs, as it does with every other person in this bar. While he could not see the face or outfit, the outline clearly showed two horns placed atop his head, which caused concern to linger for a moment. 'Demon kin? Or maybe some form of half breed. Hopefully good intentions brought him here. But unless he's powerful enough to take on the entire guild, I'd say he plans to become one of us. Eh, not my problem.'

Without another thought on the matter, Reegan patiently awaited his turn to order a drink, sharing light conversation with patrons he knew, from a few chance meetings, that happened to pass by his seat. "Well, good luck on your quest, Samantha. May our paths cross again some day." He replied as a dainty wave followed the woman leaving with a few members of the guild back out of the way he came in. "Barkeep, when you're finished taking that order, would you get me an apple beverage, please? My mouth feels dryer than a desert right now." He would pretend to cough, holding his throat melodramatically. "Ah, release me from this thirst, oh dearest bartender."

Ramirez was settled at his favourite table, an impressive pyramid of tankards had been assembled upon the worn table. The scruffy hunter knocking back his most recent one. The last hunt had gone pretty well and a celebratory drink over due in his opinion. He watched the newcomers wander in, seems like more colourful characters here to join the guild? More drinking buddies he grinned to himself as he drew the back of his had over his mouth to dash away the lingering foam on his beard.

Percival was so lost in his own fantastical thoughts that he almost missed Alienor’s polite greeting. He did a double-take before quickly bowing with a “Miss”… a little too late as the woman had already passed him by.

Straightening back up, he brushed off any embarrassment and followed after her into the Inn, the smell of smoke, stale ale and roasting meat hitting his senses like an unseen wall.

“My apologies…” The young man formally bowed to Alienor again as she sat down at one of the tables. He looked smartly dressed, in polished armour that had never seen battle, with neat black hair and a friendly smile. “-would you happen to know the Guild Master here perchance?”

“… ‘aven’t seen you ‘ere before… you part of the Guild?” The Barman looked Ivan up and down, eyes unashamedly lingering on the man’s purple horns.

“Here yer go… one apple beverage.” He dumped an overflowing tankard of cider down on the countertop and pushed it towards Reegan.

In the midst of her people-watching, the dhampir was approached by the young man from the front entrance. She looked him over once, noting the armour's condition and how young the man was. It appeared that he was in search of adventure but lacked experience. Very well, she would help. She needed to befriend the people here either way, and this was not a bad start.

"There is no need for apologies as far as I am aware," She stated. "As for the guild master, I'm unsure. I am new to these parts. I'm merely taking respite before I go meet the guild master. You could join me for a drink if you'd like. We can ask around for her in a bit."

She nodded at the empty seat beside her, beckoning the man to sit with her if she so chose. Her hands itched for activity, and so she set about fiddling with the handle of one of her daggers. It was a beautifully simple thing that packed a mean punch if wielded correctly. She looked over at the man again and spoke.

"Correct me if I am wrong, but you have never seen battle, correct?" She remarked. "What brings you to these parts?"

“You are most kind. Thank you.” Percival sat down in the empty chair. He didn’t wish to be rude, and meeting the Guild Master could wait.
He gave the man on the neighbouring table (Ramirez) a quick nod, then sighed in relief to finally be off his feet.

The teen caught a quick glimpse of Alienor’s sharp looking canines, and may have stared a little, but he was far too polite to say anything. Her query stole his attention back.

“I-I’ve seen battle.” That wasn’t a complete lie. He’d seen battles… from a safe distance… behind a company of Knights. He didn’t share any of that with Alienor.

“I turned eighteen today, so I am here to join the Guild.” He explained. “-and yourself? Forgive me, I never asked your name.”

Saen made her way into the Guild hall. A few dirty looks came the lamia's way, but it could have been a lot worse. Somebody could have tried to make her into boots. "Hello," she commented in a soft voice with just a hint of an accent, to nobody in particular. Anyone who could point her in the direction of authority would be greatly appreciated.

"I wasss told you were a mercenary guild looking to hire new membersss. I would like to put my name in for such. I may not have any talent with blade or bow, but I am cccertified by the Witch's Council, if that matters. Mossstly the mental assspects of the Art. Telepathy, illusionsss, and so forth."

While Ivan was talking with the bartender, his eyes wandered off to the various people in the bar. He had already noticed Reegan, and if he would look back he would probably spot Saen out of the crowd pretty quickly. He would skim over Percival, Ramirez and Alienor but not really notice them yet. Ivan did however see some people staring at his horns, but he didn't care about that too much. What he did care about was his stomach at the moment.

The Unknown… a point in which most individuals within their lifetime would have to face, and it is not relating to new discoveries such as cave system. From new experiences and choices individuals have to make that could shape their very lives or the very relationships people make with others, from rivals or friends to lovers or mortal enemies. The ‘unknown’ holds a many ‘what ifs’ that no one can truly determine what could happen. What if this were to happen? Or what if that were to happen instead. Not even fate itself is clear upon what could and could not occur at any second. But sometimes, everyone must go through the unknown in order to achieve something, unsure of what could happen to them in the process, but not letting that stop them from marching forth to face with such.

Some… however, have a bit more trouble when it comes to this. An particular individual in question looking at a piece of paper within his hands looked up from the parchment, staring long and hard at the somewhat old stone building. People were coming and going from all around him, all of them either entering into the very building before him or walking outside of it… ‘Hunters’, if he recalled correctly. All part of the Hunters Guild in front of him. Amru gave a sigh as he looked back onto the piece of parchment, an advertisement for more recruits to join the Hunters Guild. Was this a choice he really wanted to make? He could just back out now and not risk his own life with what dangerous creatures could be out there. Amru could only shudder physically as he thought of something aggressive and vicious out there waiting for easy prey such as himself to be walking around so that it can easily hunt him down. No… he must do this. He needed to provide for the very family that had raised him throughout the years and taught him all that he knows… he couldn’t just leave them with nothing after spending some much raising him.

With a small burst of determination, his decision has been fully made (at least, for now), as Amru walked into the Hunters Guild, not sure if he actually made the right choice now. Walking inside, Amru had felt… ‘small’, compared to many others within the building. He could spot many groups of people talking amongst themselves, joking around or gambling with their money over simple things such as a card game. It all felt lively and ‘alive’… and Amru felt as if he was the odd one out. Quiet… alone, and protective of his own money. He was nothing like the people around him. Even moreso when comparing equipment. Even from here, he can spot the wide variety of weapons and armors different individuals seemed to be using. Some wielded halberds and swords… others wielded large hammers and even bows. Hell, there were some in full plated armor that would put the guards of his home town to shame.

And yet, here he was, covered in nothing but cloth and carrying a large backpack full of supplies on his back, with nothing but a censer filled with powders and a kukri blade that he barely knows how to wield in order to defend himself. Just what made him Hunter material? Never mind that… he, should probably find who it was that intimidates the recruitment process around here so that he can sign up for the guild. He was already within the building, and so, would already be too late to back out of this now. With his mind made up on the matter, Amru walked around, making sure to avoid eye contact with other individuals if only to not seem as if he was nervous to the eyes of others…unsure if that would even work anyway.

Markus Lionhearth
B8E9B20E-8592-47A7-9A70-CCB765D139F0.jpeg
“Then, after what appeared to be a hour fighting against a horde of endless canine beasts recklessly charging into my party, being slain to no avail as if the wolves believed that they can win by tiring us out before going in for the kill… that’s when the leader of the beasts walked out with a echoing hour, the Alpha Direwolf. It’s white coat glistened within the cold icy air, perched up over a small rock as if it was the king of the snowy lands that my group resided within, staring down at the ‘invaders’ who decided to trek into its territory, as if challenging them. Of course, I had walked forth to accept the challenge of a duel against the Alpha, exchanging a war cry of my own and my blood pumping to face off against such a threat…”

At a certain table within the Guild Hall, there were five individuals sitting around it. Unlike some others in which heavy talk is coming from all individuals such as those betting gold upon who would have the winning card within a game or simply banter with one another… only one individual was speaking at this table. Wearing a unique set of plated armor that seemed well maintained compared to most other armors that have gone through hell and back, the man also wore a purple clothed robe over the very armor he wears, a fur coat around his shoulders and neck similar to that of a lion. At his hip, were two particular weapons, a rolled up whip on the left side while a sheathed bastard sword was on the right. These weapons and armor belonged to none other than the seemingly Noble looking fighter, Markus Lionhearth. A member of the Guild for about three years and some months… known for his telling of stories of triumph against the enemy when out performing missions, telling of his own exploits more often than his own party members, often exaggerating at times for when the action seems to be at its climax. Of course, these stories are told with truth by the very man, after all, he felt as if lying about the very actions he did and doing the impossible was the most shameless thing a individual can do when speaking about their own skill and true events.

As of currently, Markus was telling four random Guild Members, some of which seemed newer and inexperienced, about his most recent hunt of exterminating a harmful group of Direwolves that was disrupting the nearby farmlands and killing both livestock and those unlucky enough to be within their path. It was him and 2 others that had set off to deal with such a threat, with Markus being the very individual to have challenged the Alpha of the pack. With that said, after Markus had stopped for a moment to slightly lift his helmet up, the fur coat blocking view of what may be lying beneath, and brought a wine glass up to the crevice to take a small sip of the red delicious liquid and putting his helmet and wine glass back down, Markus continued with the story.

“…From there, the true fight had officially begun with the Alpha jumping down from its perch and slowly approaching me. It didn’t take a genius to tell that the very Direwolf was an experienced on, the scars on its body telling the many stories of many battles that this beast had gone through… a reason in which why it was the Alpha in the first place. Older and experienced than the others of its pack, it knew the risks, and it knew how to be careful than the inexperienced juvenile rushing forth only to bet the bite of metal slashed into its body. Of course, even with its own experience, it didn’t account for an opponent such as myself who utilized my own weaponry and spells to the greatest effect. Although that didn’t make the fight any easier. It’s larger size and it’s strength and speed made it more difficult attempting to land hits without being hit myself, seemingly overwhelming me and attempting to whittle me down. If it weren’t for a tactical use of my ice wall to launch the Alpha into the air and stun it for a bit before stabbing my ice covered blade into its skull in order to kill it, I might have been gravely injured or worse. Of course, I didn’t leave without some scratches and cuts to less armored parts of my body, but with the Alpha gone, DireWolves fled into the woods, seemingly never coming back. And that there is the story of how me and my party won against the ferocious pack of Direwolves…”

And it seems like Markus is finished with his story, crossing his arms as the four others thought about what he said, one clapping at it being a good story to listen in the meantime to as Markus took the compliment rather well. Looking around, Markus did take notice of newer faces within the Guild Hall while attempting to recall some older ones. Strange lot they were… but who cares, this is not some unnatural event within the Guild. Individuals come and go on the daily, hell, on some days, Markus couldn’t even see one individual that appeared yesterday pop up once again. With people coming and going… why care much about the arrival of some faces that would eventually up and disappear? Hmm… perhaps he can offer his services in training the new recruits and leading them to victory within various Hunts. It has been a while since he did that with a couple of new faces. After all, he was once a recruit Hunter himself… why not offer the hand of aid to them like those before had done… not like he needed the help in the first place.

The dhampir pretended to not notice the stares she received from the teen. It was something she had grown accustomed to. Should he ask, she would answer, but for now, she would keep her lips sealed. She let out a small huff after hearing the human's response to her question. She was okay with being wrong, she'd find out any untruths should they team up on a quest.

"Very well. I just assumed due to the condition of your armour. It looks as if it hasn't seen battle. You must have one damn good blacksmith if they were able to repair any damages your armour received to this degree," She mused, turning her attention to the people around the bar.

Her ears perked at his age. He was quite young. He seemed to have a drive for vanquishing monsters. She saw the potential in that drive. The paladin gave the young man a look of respect. He could work well as a paladin, should he decide that life is for him

"You are very young. I admire your drive," She commented "As for myself, my name is Alienor Wright. I am a paladin who has taken the oath of vengeance. Should you need me to be your sword, I will happily oblige if it is in the name of smiting evil," the raven-haired women said, carefully omitting the fact that this gave her a clever excuse to satiate her bloodlust. He needn't know that yet.

“Hunters.” A deep voice corrected Saen as she mentioned mercenaries. The voice belonged to a grey-skinned half-orc woman - Beryl. She looked to be in her sixties, wearing black spiked armour, a wolf fur shawl, and a great big axe on her hip.

“A sorcerer, ey?” Beryl crossed her arms over her chest as she regarded the lamia. She gave off an air of authority, despite her old age. “Don’t often get your kind in here.” It wasn’t clear if she meant sorcerers or lamias… both probably.

“We only serve ‘unters ‘ere.” The Barman explained to Ivan. “You want food… drink… somewhere to sleep, then yer best chat ter Beryl and join the Guild.” He pointed to the half-orc who was talking to Saen.

“There’s gold in it too, if yer lucky enough ter survive...” The grumpy dwarf added.

Percival looked down at his pristine gear. Maybe he could have roughed it up a bit to fit in better, but it was custom-made by the finest smith in his kingdom. “It’s er… new?”

He was happy when Alienor changed the subject. “Pleased to meet you Alienor. I’m Percival.” He offered his hand to the woman.
“So you’re a Knight? What’s an Oath of Vengeance?”

"Waaat?" Ivan looked rather disappointed. He was considering what to do. Being a hunter sounded like a huge hassle. But it would provide him with food and shelter which he could use for a while.
"Fine." He responds to the barkeep. The wyvern man gets up to head to the half-orc.

She nodded along to what the young man was saying. She couldn't deny that the armour was intricately made. Whoever made it know their craft and it showed. It would have taken a great deal of gold to get it made.

"Well, it certainly is well-made. Your blacksmith did an excellent job with their craftsmanship. You should give them your thanks next you see them. I bet it cost you a pretty penny."

She let an amused grin play on her lips as she watched the boy quickly veer into another subject. She took his outstretched hand and gave it a shake. Her hands were unnaturally cool, a side effect of her vampiric origins. She had finally obtained a name for her companion, Percival.

"The pleasure is mine," she added with a polite smile "As for what I am, you could consider me a knight if you may, but I serve under a god, not a crown. My oath, the oath of vengeance, is one of the many oaths a paladin can take. It is one of a commitment to punishing those who have committed grievous sins. I am a vanquisher of evil and will sacrifice my own purity if it means delivering justice." She explained.

“Y-yes, I imagine it did.” Percival said as Alienor suggested that his armour must have cost a lot of gold. “I’ll be sure to pass on your compliments.”

Unlike the Dhampir’s, Percy’s hand was warm and clammy. It was hot indoors with the amount of people gathered here, but his nerves and anticipation were to blame too.

“A vanquisher of evil…” The teen quietly repeated, in an admiring tone. “That sounds like a very honourable profession.” He liked the ‘delivering justice’ part too. She spoke like his old mentor, Sir Henry.

“I’ve always wanted to become a Knight. Helping those in need and fighting for good.” Percy smiled.

"I put my purity and my life in constant danger for my vow, and my honour to my oath is one that is unshakable. If you think it is an honourable profession, then I cannot deny you of that truth, but this profession isn't one for the braggart or the glory-seeker. Should you choose to walk this particular path, I urge you to understand the oath you will take. Always know what you are planning to become lest you fall into a path you didn't envision for yourself. Consider that a piece of advice to keep in mind young knight."

She saw that the teen had a good heart and only the best of intentions. He truly wished to be a knight in shining armour, saving those in need. She admired his tenacity. She hoped to not see it falter or fade as he grew.

"My path and yours aren't very different. You hope to walk in the pursuit of good as I do, albeit in your own way. I admire the drive you have. Never let it falter." She spoke tenderly, her eyes drifting away from the people around the bar and back to Percival. It seemed that life hadn't hardened him as it did with her. She wished to preserve that for a little while longer.

It had been weeks on the road and Moriana was sure of two things: she needed a stiff drink and would welcome a soft bed. Sleeping on the ground was not something she enjoyed but she did so without complaint. After putting her horned mare in the accompanied stables, the young woman stood in front of the run-down tavern with a look of dismay. If it wasn't for the signage, a dragon's skull painted crimson, she wouldn't of believed that this was the place. Conversations and song boomed from the open door, there was an enthusiasm that could only stem from adventure and drinks.

It's now or never, she thought to herself before stepping inside. Her eyes adjusted and scanned the cramped space. There were many interesting looking characters and Moriana found herself trying not to stare. She held her head high and moved to the bar, her posture emitted a confidence that she was lacking. She took a seat on an unbalanced stool and eyed the barman with a nod, though she had to glance down to meet his gaze. Dwarfs were relatively common and she had known many throughout her life. She smiled politely. "Something strong, please. And might as well line up another."

Rinzi Ranaya...Was new. Awkwardly, she pulled herself through the doors, pulling up her extremely serious expression. Cool, stoic, and cold-hearted! She was a bit of a shortstack, so it definitely conflicted with how petite she kind of looked, but at least the confidence would be enough to hold herself higher than the typical nervous girl from the countryside. The inns were...Manageable. The bathrooms, also manageable.

But it was getting tough trying to figure out who to talk to. All these mysterious strangers of shapes and sizes. She heard some kind of snake woman was supposed to be taking the reins of a Hunter too, which seemed...Unorthodox, for sure.

Okay, but she did have one goal in mind. She was a newbie in the eyes of the tavern, so it was best to approach the bar counter, her young'in looking figure having to climb onto the seat and...

Ask for Beryl.

Of course, the only issue at hand was that it looked like he was already talking to several others before her, so she was politely waiting her turn, though still kept her hand up as if she wanted to take an order. She was a bit silent, but perhaps it was just newcomer jitters.
