• Aragon worked at Twin Rivers through his connections with The Directors Child, knowing him through (HOW THEY KNOW EACH OTHER HERE). Since this clinic is so tight nit ant difficult for new people to be employed here, Aragon was incredibly lucky. When he first got started, he had just graduated his doctorate program and essentially thrown to the wolves to see if he had what it took to work at Twin Rivers. In all honesty it was tough, he felt so suffocated by the piles of work that was left on his desk every morning and forced to stay super late throughout the night. The horrifying things you hear throughout the halls at night would make anyones skin crawl, but Aragon soon became thick skinned to such things. Throughout his time at here, he had cycled through twenty five patients; succumbing to some illness, suicide or killed by another patient. Seeing a new patient in a past clients cell always made his heart hurt, it made him feel as though he was failing as a doctor- as if h was doing no good, but how naive Aragon was about this place. He was, however, surprised by the lack of care that the other staff had when there was a death within the walls of the clinic, like their life was meaningless. A foul taste slowly started to form within the back of his throat whenever the thought came across his mind, but he didn't want to look weak to the other staff or his patients... no matter how disheartening this was becoming for him. Soon enough, Aragon was handed the case file of fenrir leviticus, an interesting case to say the least. (There was over two boxes filled of everything he had done outside Twins and while he has been inside.) When he opened up the files, he ended up staying a whole night at the facility as he became so engulfed by the history of this man all while the sickening thought brewed in the back of his mind; How long will it be until his death?
  
  Who would have guessed that a man of such prestige and intellectual would succumb to the the clutches of that of his own patient... the world is full of mystery. It all started when Fen hadn't dropped dead like the rest of his patients, a spark was ignited underneath Aragon that engulfed everything around him in which only made the flame grow brighter and hotter. Slowly Aragon started to develop signs of an unknown psychosis, but he was so good at hiding it. Slowly he began to view Fen as some type of god, a god that could not be struck by a simple slit of his wrists... it had to be something else. The end result of his admission to Twin Rivers is that he started to believe that Fen was a god, a god that he would do anything to prove his devotion too; helping Fen escape his cell only for the pair of them to be caught in the act.

  - before his mental breakdown, aragon was a respectable psychiatrist who tried his best to be as good as he possibly could. he knew people needed an ear to listen too, while he was a tad bit of a manipulative man— he used that skill to help people.

  - his admission to twin rivers granted her a certain power over him and she has/had been able to get away with her antics
  - nothing sexual has happened, but she harasses him verbally almost daily
  - any comments about his eyes triggers him
  - while he is deemed crazy by the institute, aragon is still wicked intelligent… but he’s more scary that way
  - was one of the more well liked staff among the inhabitants, so his introduction all of them was a lot friendlier then anything else
  - willing to die for fen in order to prove his loyalty and devotion to him; sees him as his god
  - once bite another patients ear off for harboring ill words towards his god
  - calls fen many names; his beloved god, my god, other names like that
  - developed an inhuman snarl
  - more negative in his manipulation, prone to use it for what he wants rather then for others
  - still has a sweet side, but his mental break has really clouded that part of him
  - has an incredibly toxic codependency towards fen, always wants to be near him
  - because of this, the staff were forced to put fen and Aragon next to each other

• Seth's stay at Twin Rivers was all but optional--it was either rot in prison, or come here. He had obviously not wanted to spend what would probably be his whole life in jail, and seeing as he was ruled mentally incompetent, he came to stay at Twin Rivers Asylum. He had always suffered from mental illnesses ever since he was a young lad, but his parents were more than happy to ignore them and believe their son was fine. He lived his life in constant worry someone was watching him--waiting to kill him from the shadows. It wasn't helpful that he had a habit of stealing and lying as a teenager, but even then Seth was a good kid. Good as in not the kind to up and murder 5 people. Well, apparently he was the kind.
  
  Freshly turned 19 Seth Winters was found guilty of the murder of his mother, father, and three sisters. Seth was near catatonic when the police arrived on the scene, the boy covered in blood and holding a knife coated in the viscous substance. His family members each had multiple stab wounds, and one of his sisters was completely decapitated. When he was brought in for a psych evaluation, the psychologist was quick to rule him as mentally incompetent to stand trial. He had no real sense of what he had done--he truly believed he had finally gotten rid of the people who were out to kill him. it didn't help with his past history of crime and managed to sweet-talk his way out of any punishment, but the court ruled he was capable of standing trial.
  
  At the trial, he was given two options--Twin Ridge or life in prison. So, naturally, he was sent to Twin Rivers. Seth was a good kid who had a kind sense behind his eyes, but the littlest things could set him off--the wrong gesture, someone staring for too long--it didn't take much. he was considered a Gold patient--dangerous, but not all the time. He was a persistent liar, doing whatever he could to manipulate the guards and staff into giving him what he wanted. He'd lie to make himself look better--to get people to like him more. Yet due to his extreme charges, it is highly unlikely he will ever step foot outside of Twin Rivers again.

  - Seth had a pretty good grip on reality until about age 13--that is when he began to talk about people wanting him dead
  - Suffers from mild auditory hallucinations--they used to be a lot worse when he was a kid
  - Hasn't had a visual hallucination in quite some time due to the heavy medication he is on
  - His medication all but makes him a zombie, so it is not uncommon to see him express little emotion after a dose
  - He doesn't believe he killed his parents or sisters--he honestly thinks they are off somewhere hiding out until he returns
  - Thinks he killed very bad people and that he is now safe from their organization
  - Has speech problems due to his Schizophrenia--sometimes his answers are completely unrelated to the question
  - Rarely suffers from Catatonia, but it can be triggered from certain treatments
  - Surprisingly doesn't have any sleeping issues
  - If anything, he will sleep all day if given the chance
  - He loves to draw and paint! Pretty good at it too
  - His personality disorder can make him really arrogant depending on his mood--no one can tell him wrong, however
  - He is always right and will manipulate you into thinking so too
  - Seth is a really good pickpocket--if you find something of yours is missing, he probably has it
  - Gets very hostile at any implications he is sick or messed up
  - Will get into a fistfight with the guards for fun
  - Does not really have a sense of right and wrong, nor consequence
  - Will knock out your lights if you stare for too long
  - Despite all of that, he is actually rather considerate and kind to those he calls his friends.
  - Will take a bullet for the people he holds close
  - Or he might fire one for them, idk it's a game of chance with Seth

  August has been at Twin River since the age of 15, left and likely forgotten by their family for the past 6 years. Compared to some of the residents who have come and gone, how August ended up here is pretty tame.

  Augustine grew up severely neglected by their father and abused not only verbally, but often physically by their mother. Augustine was the youngest of three, having two older half-brothers who also either ignored his existence or tormented him. This started from the age of 4 and escalated as August grew older. The basically daily, continuous abuse resulted in the formation of Dissociative Identity Disorder by the age of 9.
  
  When August was 11, his brothers brung him along to go swimming. Not that he got much of a choice, he was shoved into the water. Never learning how to swim, August would have drowned there if not helped by a passerby. From there the abuse and neglect Augustine suffered at the hands of their family was brought to the light. It didn't take long for legal action to take place. Removed from his family and put into foster care, August struggled with adapting.
  
  At the age of 13 August was sexually harassed several times and nearly assaulted by a teacher. Their DID began to become more prevalent around this time, and August took notice of the periods of lost time. Since he was not in therapy, he went undiagnosed and had no idea what was happening. This added stress led to pyromaniac tendencies. August began setting small fires to feel some sense of control. Some kind of relief and normalcy.
  
  At the age of 15, August made the mistake of setting a fire near the home he was staying and it grew out of control. He hadn't meant for it to happen, but he couldn't stop it from growing. No one was harmed, but the house had sustained severe damage. This incident was added to the track record of 'running away', lost memory, 'lying', 'outburst', and 'unreasonable behavior'. Thus it was decided August would be sent to a mental facility in hopes of helping, Twin Rivers happened to be the first one nearby that was willing to handle Augustine's case. Thus began August's 6 years and counting of even more hell.
  
  Augustine has watched people come and go over the years, but no matter how good or bad August is, it seems he himself can never get cleared to leave. As time passed he gave up hope of leaving, focusing on just trying to get through the day without getting punished. Harsh treatment from both the past and the present has left August with a very low view of others. Often avoiding speaking to other patients or staff at all, and definitely not trusting any of them. August keeps mainly to himself, counting time as it goes by.

  ❂ Post-Traumtic Stress Disorder ❂ - A disorder in which a person has difficulty recovering after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event. The condition may last months or years, with triggers that can bring back memories of the trauma accompanied by intense emotional and physical reactions. Symptoms may include nightmares or unwanted memories of the trauma, avoidance of situations that bring back memories of the trauma, heightened reactions, and anxiety. PTSD goes hand and hand with his DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) and Insomnia.
  ↳ Augustine has developed PTSD after the severe, repeated abuse during his childhood as well as the near-drowning and near assault that happened later in his life. This has resulted in nightmares, insomnia, DID, panic episodes, flashbacks, and heightened reactions to stressful situations.
  
  ❂ Dissociative Identity Disorder ❂ - A disorder characterized by the presence of two or more distinct personality states. Dissociative identity disorder, previously called multiple personality disorder, is usually a reaction to trauma as a way to help a person avoid bad memories. Dissociative identity disorder is characterized by the presence of two or more distinct personality identities. Each may have a unique name, personal history, and characteristics. It develops at an early age, by the age of 9 which is when the brain normally forms a singular state/personality.   ↳ August has a total of 11 alters/personalities. Not all of the front/take control often, but they are present. Augustine is the host/dominant personality that is usually in control. He has little memory of his childhood, no memory of almost drowning, and only a slight feeling of the memory of the assault. He knows something bad happened, but doesn't know what. The other active/most likely to front include; Nate, Jax, Evelynn, or Lukas. I will post more about each in Augustine's discord channel when I get time.
  
  ❂ Pyromania ❂ - Pyromania is a type of impulse control disorder that is characterized by being unable to resist starting fires. People with pyromania know that setting fires is harmful. But setting fires is the only way they can relieve their built-up tension and anxiety.
  ↳ Augustine's pyromaniac desires developed around the age of 10 but was never acted out until after the assault. Due to the heightened stress of coping and the added factor of becoming more aware of their DID, August turned to fire as a way of relief. Finding the feeling of control comforting despite he, himself was spiraling out of control.
  
  ❂ Sleep-Walking ❂ - The act of getting up and walking around while asleep. Sleepwalking is most common in children, who usually outgrow it by their teens. Sleepwalking usually occurs one to two hours after falling asleep at night.
  ↳ August has been sleepwalking since the age of 7. Although it is not common anymore as he's reached his adult years, there have been a few instances where he still sleepwalks. Usually, if he falls asleep under great distress.
  
  ❂ Insomnia ❂ - Persistent problems falling and staying asleep.
  ↳ Developed as a result of PTSD, anxiety, nightmares, and a fear of sleeping due to those nightmares. It takes August a long time to fall asleep and he wakes up often which makes it an endless cycle of struggling to fall and stay asleep. It is rare he gets a good night's worth of sleep.

• Maika Herrscher, the only child of Dana Herrscher, his mother, and Edric Herrscher, The Director. He was raised with morals, and ethics despite how most inside Twin Rivers know his father, an average family among the rich. Maika saw his mother more than his father, who was often kept busy at his work; when he or his mother asked about it, he would explain their mental illnesses and how he was helping them; of course, leaving out that he was trying to get to a whole other universe and that they were suffering for it.   - explanation: Fenrir has a god complex along with narcissistic personality disorder. He believes he is above everyone else and not a "mere mortal" like the rest. More than that he thinks he cant be killed as he is a god. Challenging his god complex will result in him attempting to prove that he is immortal, however confirming it will also make him worse. Due to his narcissistic personality disorder he has an inflated sense of his own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, and a lack of empathy for others. He thrives in being in the spotlight and causing general chaos. It is difficult for him to consider others as friends, and instead views them as followers or simple cannon fodder. While he is protective over his “followers” he will not help or show mercy to canon fodder. But behind this mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that's vulnerable to the slightest criticism. He is arrogant and has to always be the center of attention. Ignoring him can cause rage and make him do extreme actions to get your focus back on him. Insulting him will break the illusion and cause him to lash out in anger. He also has CIP which is a condition where one can't feel pain. This has strengthened his god complex as it feeds into his delusion of being unable to be hurt since he can't feel it.

  Fenrir was always a strange child, his family was important to him but he didn’t show it like a normal kid. It seemed more like he treated them as possessions then as family. On his 8th birthday while the family was asleep, a house fire started, born from a forgetful mother leaving the stove on. The fire devoured everything in its path, burning alive his mother, father, and baby sister. The sole survivor was Fenrir. No one knows what happened that night but when Fenrir emerged, he seemed different, and it wasn’t just the burn scars seared on his arms and chest. He bounced around in foster homes, being kicked out of each one for “abuse” although the nature of it was Fenrir giving himself the injuries. He had believed that the fire had killed him and he was reborn like a Phoenix as a god. He would proclaim this often, but most played it off as a little boy’s imagination. Things only got worse as he grew older. On his 18th birthday when he was officially out of foster care and on his own, he committed the first of many grievous crimes. Passing by a church he heard a man praying for god to help him, and Fen stepped forward. However the man was drunk and mad, his wife leaving him and taking their child with her. The man shouted at Fenrir telling him he was no such god and told him to leave before he beat fen to a pulp. Fenrir asked the man once more, “Do you refuse to acknowledge me as your god pitiful mortal?” The man responded with slurs and aggression. With a smile on his face Fenrir declared, “Then I will see you in the afterlife” and swiftly slit the man’s throat. After that night, he committed many more atrocities, some led by being challenged others by a misguided form of help when someone delusional or drugged enough to accept him as a god, asked for a request.
  
  Not one to clean up tracks, he was arrested a year later. It would have been sooner if not for him constantly moving from city to city. The judge assigned him an insanity deal, and he was shipped off to Twin Rivers. Originally coded as a gold, he rapidly rose, becoming code black. His refusal to take meds and his violent actions on those that tried to force him to take meds and those that challenged his complex led to him being almost constantly tied up in his cell, and allowed no contact with others. He went through many psychiatrists, most cracking under the pressure or having their throats torn out by his teeth. None of them ever made an impact on him and were quickly forgot, until Aragon. The first of all of them to not tell him it was just in his head, the first to believe him. Although it was just a ploy at first, the other man slid into insanity genuinely thinking Fenrir was his God. Aragon was his first ever follower and became the most important person in his life. Fenrir only increased in danger after that, doing anything needed to take care of Aragon. He would fight inmates for their blankets and food and give them to Aragon, he would strangled those that upset Aragon, and do anything that Aragon wanted. He was separated after that and throw in the most isolated secure cell in the asylum they could find. But he would get out, he always gets out.
