Here are the two student characters and my teacher character I plan to use as Students in the RP, and I feel as though I should clear some potential questions up:

-You may RP as either a student or as a Professor in Citadel Academy (or both with student and teacher characters). Teachers may start with 4 Mystra Spells as they would naturally be more experienced with magic at the start. Open positons for the latter are as follows: History, P.E., Mystral Arts (Magic), Current Events, Math, Science, Homeroom
-Please @ me if you want to apply for a teacher role and have a CS ready for me to preview. Thank you.
-With that said, all students will be attending the same class to encourage intermingling between them and to better keep track of each character's whereabouts.

Character Name: Odyssus
Species: Cyclops
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Homeland: Island of Rhegon, Cyclopian Isles

Background: Odyssus is the son of Silas, Warrior-King of Rhegon. However, due to his timidity and unwillingness to fight, others saw him as a disgrace to his kind. Silas, however, simply saw he took after his deceased mother more, and cared for him, not caring what his subjects thought of him for it. One day, when Odyssus was tending to the domesticated animals, he heard a song in the distance. This would be his first meeting with his childhood friend Aria, a Siren from the Cliffs of Cetus, and cursed by Hera with stage fright. At first, Aria simply flew off, but over time, the two of them got closer, especially when Odyssus saved her from a Griffon.

The Cyclopes eventually learned of Aria, and chastised Odyssus for harboring an outsider, despite the young cyclops' protests that she meant no harm. Silas stepped up to defend them, and quickly put the unruly soldiers back in their place by engaging them in battle, reminding them why he was their king. He taught his son that day that compassion wasn't a weakness, but a virtue. He wanted Odyssus to become a great king, not a great warrior. He sent his son to the Mythic Academy with this in mind, as not only would he be learning from some of the Hallowed Realm's finest professors, but he would also be exposed to new cultures and personalities, as a means to test his strength of character. And knowing how close his son and Aria had become, he paid for the siren's tuition as well.

Personality: Odyssus is a gentle, timid, quiet soul with a compassionate heart who isn't fond of confrontation, often trying to avoid starting up or getting into conflicts, and frequently bottling up his emotions like the introvert he is. However, if those he's close to are in harm's way, he'll act without a second thought to keep them safe. He enjoys fishing, writing stories and poems, and reading in his downtime and loves to go on adventures with Aria and his other friends. He's also reliable and loyal, always willing to help those he cares about however he can.

Appearance: Standing at 6'6" with a large and stocky build, Odyssus towers over many of his classmates. He has pale blue skin and a long mane of dark hair (kinda like Raditz from Dragonball Z, but only reaching down to his mid-back). His favorite outfit is a blue greek-style tunic with an ocean wave pattern and gold trimming, along with a pair of sandals. He also has a wide-brimmed straw hat that he wears when fishing to keep the sun off him. Like all other Cyclopes, he only has a single eye in the center of his head

Racial Traits:

Strength of the Cyclopes- That bulky body and muscle isn't just for show. Like most of his kind, Odyssus is incredibly strong, capable of lifting and tossing boulders twice his size great distances with relative ease.
Thick-Skinned- Cyclopes of the Hallowed Realm have thick, tough skin and bones that make surviving the wildlife and competing monsters like Griffons and Harpies of the Cyclopian Isles a bit more manageable.

Character Name: Aria
Species: Siren
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Homeland: Cliffs of Cetus, Azurean Sea

Background: Aria was born on the Cliffs of Cetus, a set of high-rise islands and crags in the Azurean Sea and homeland of the Sirens. To the Sirens, their voice was their mightiest weapon, and they were all proud to flaunt it in various shows, Especially Aria, the proudest among them. One day, the Celestial Hera came to listen to their music for herself, but was displeased by Aria, who's singing was, while beautiful to others, below her standards. Hera gave Aria stage fright, as a means to "prevent this tone-deaf chicken from cursing others with her squaking". A siren's voice was their greatest gift, and without the ability to show off to others anymore, Aria was shunned by her community, and left heartbroken.

After days of endless flying, and seeking out a new home for herself, she landed exhausted and starving on the island of Rhegon, one of the 47 Cyclopian Isles. It was during this time she'd first meet the Cyclops Odyssus. It... didn't go well at first, Aria feeling vulnerable and frightened of this giant and Odyssus being the timid soul he was. But slowly, over time, they grew to at least tolerate each other. And one day, when she was attacked by a Griffon, it was Odyssus who came to her rescue, cementing their friendship. Aria was given a new home in Rhegon, and while she was scorned by the other Cyclopes, who were distrustful of outsiders, she at least had a friend she could be with. And for her, that was enough. Years later, King Silas, ruler of Rhegon, offered them a chance to attend the Mythic Academy in Citadel.

Personality: Upbeat, energetic, and sunny, Aria loves nothing more than to make friends and live life by her own rules, valuing her freedom a lot. She has a hard time sitting still and gets bored easily, but whatever task you put in front of her, she'll do her very best at it! Her favorite past times include soaring through the skies practicing all kinds of stunts and tricks and fishing with Odyssus, surprisingly. However, like most things, she does it her way. Though she has plenty of insecurities about herself, she often prefers to keep them to herself to not worry her friends. She'd much rather suffer in silence and see them happy than to drag down their mood with her problems.

Appearance: You'd probably mistake Aria for a slightly petite human (She stands only at 5'3") at first glance, save for her sky-blue hair (which only grows to her shoulders with the bangs braided aside to keep them out of her hair mid-flight) and golden eyes. But her legs under her knees are more avian, ending in taloned feet with those heel spurs, and she has long, feathery tail plumage coming from her lower back. And her arms have something like a light feather pattern tattooed on them. Her arms transform into her wings when she's ready to take flight, and they sport the same sky-blue color as her hair and tail. She most often wears a form-fitting sleeveless shirt and shorts, as anything too loose can hinder her ability to ride air currents.

Species: Lechuzen (Native American Lechuza Owl-Women of Mexican folklore, but just with both genders accounted for)

Homeland: Tempesta Barranco, a city in the kingdom of Tezcali

Background: Wyzen has lived a very long and eventful life, much of which he has spent founding the Citadel Academy and seeking out the truths that lie just out of sight of man and monsterkind. In his twilight years, he now seeks to give the students that come to learn in his academy the best future he can, and to pass his knowledge on to the next generation of the Hallowed realm.

Personality: As you'd expect from someone as old as Wyzen, he is a very wise individual who has a strong sense of insight and foresight. He is also rather empathetic, reaching out to those in need of guidance. However, his willingness to help is limited, as he believes it better for his students to find their own solutions, all the better they are prepared for the day the owl can no longer help them. He might have a very stern tone and gaze, but he is also very patient and understanding. He also has a sense of humor, sometimes messing with his students or his teachers in non-harmful ways to get a chuckle out of his twilight years. He's also an avid astrologist, and his office is decorated with clockwork telescopes and star maps, as well as models of stars and planets.

Appearance: Wyzen's overall build is human-like, though covered in dark brown and tan feathers and with an owl's head (beak and all), wings instead of arms, and below the knees, avian legs. He stands at a lofty 12 feet tall (think Wan Shi Tong in terms of size). When his wings are folded, they resemble a wizard's robe, and his head is adorned with a pair of horned crests. His tail drags on the floor behind him as he walks, and his eyes, though worn with age, still have a piercing gaze that seems to look into your very soul.

Anatomy- Wyzen's eyes are fixed in his head, but he can swivel his head all the way around like an actual owl. He often does this to spook students that come in to see him for the first time, much to the old owl's amusement. As mentioned before, his wings allow him to fly, and moreso, his motion is absolutely silent while airborne.
Shapeshifting- Wyzen's race can shapeshift into a more humanoid form. When Wyzen does this, he appears as an elderly man with a mane of brown hair with gray streaks, and a long, bushy mustache drooping down his face, while wearing a formal suit and cravat, as well as a brown feather cloak with a cowl in the shape of an owl's head.

Orion is an eye-for-an-eye type of person, who values loyalty from both xirself and others. Xe tends to make decisions on the fly and can be quite stubborn. If you betray xem, you will be a target of Orion's voodoo, which is currently causing papercuts. Orion is also blunt, and really appreciates honesty. White lies are okay with xem, but lying to get your friend in trouble is a huge no-no. If you gain Orion's loyalty, xe will care about you a lot. Orion is actually a passionate person when it comes to activities xe loves, like rodeo.
Appearance:
Orion is actually quite short, being 5'1. There are a lot more markings on xir face and body, and Orion is noted to look like xe has been possessed on the account that xir eyes look like they've been rolled back into xir head. Xe has an abnormally long neck and wears whatever xe wants to.

- Hair snakes: Sylia can freely control the snakes that make her hair and thus never had a bad hair day in her life. They can bite, but they are not venomous. Additionaly, she can also understand snakes and have a conversation with them.

Background: Instead of accidentally stumbled into the rift, Piper was sent to the academy by Twilight Society. A cabal of Academi's alumnis who had been using their power to protect humanity in secret. However, the increase of incidents involving the rift pushed them to be more proactive at shaping the future. So instead of simply waiting for random teenager to enter the rift, managed to graduate from the academy, willing to return to earth and then willing to join their little organisation, they try to send one themself. Piper is the first one for this project, a test run. If she's doing good they might send more students later.

Appearance: Standing at 5'5, Piper is a pale girl with a black garb as her regular attire.

Venomous fang: She has the ability to lace her bite with a paralyzing poison. The poison is not lethal but will make the victim feel numb in the lightest of cases to full paralyzation in the worst case. The paralysation will most of the time just last around 5 to 8 minutes. additionally, she has a high resistance if not immunity to most poisons

BACKGROUND

HOMELAND: Hallowed Realm

Mika was born to a well-off family in the Hallowed Realm. After losing her parents at a young age (so young she cannot remember them and what they were like) her family was taken in by her Aunt. The middle child of 5, Mika was always fighting for attention over her siblings, until one day, her younger siblings and older sister went out to play and never came back. They were assumed to be taken by any of the various miserable beings that lurk amongst the shadows of the Hallowed. Thus, they still have not been found, and are presumed dead. Remaining is her older brother, formerly the second oldest of the five. They spent all their time bickering and engaging in petty fights, until her brother, Alan, eventually grew out of that phase and wanted nothing to do with Mika anymore. Then, she was able to become the favorite child. Doing everything and anything to please her aunt became her new pastime. Learning to cook, clean, use her manners, and most importantly learn to utilize her racial traits. Of course, this was short lived, and Mika realized that her Aunt just wanted to use her to move up in the world. In spite, she decided to do what she wanted. Things like hunting, learning various crafts, sparring, fighting, weaponry, and more.

During a hunt, one day, she found herself up against a creature that held more power than her. On the brink of death, she found herself presented with redemption. A pact from a lower celestial. His conditions? After using his powers, Mika must give up control of her body to him for 15 minutes. She agreed to the pact, and thus the celestial lent her the power. Now, she continues to utilize this pact moving forward, although she does not go out of her way to tell anyone of it.





PERSONALITY

Mika is very quick to anger. She can get pissed at the slightest of things, and isn’t the best at ignoring taunts. At the same time, she often nags others on, trying to annoy them so she can spar. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, which can often get her in trouble. Mika can be serious, though, and when she is, can be a great person to talk to. Although, most of the time she prefers to avoid any and all responsibility. She holds grudges easily, and often takes out her anger through being a bit destructive and vulgar. Like swearing, a lot.



MAGIC

RACIAL TRAITS:
  • Scorpion Tail: Mika has a tail that can function like that of a scorpion. This includes a sharp stinger on the top, which can secrete venom, but also act as a blade. It’s arched upwards when at rest and can be moved with varying flexibility
  • Scorpion Venom: Her tail can secrete 1 of 3 venoms at a time. The first can cause delusions, hallucinations, and the like for up to 5 minutes. The second can Paralyze her enemy for up to 5 minutes. The third is an anti-venom. It can be used on others to lessen the effects of other poisons and venoms. This comes with a natural level of immunity to general venoms. There is a limit to how much she can produce, however. Only one type can be produced per hour.

Mika has a celestial pact with an unnamed Celestial. The man offers up his powers to her in return for control over her body for 15 minutes. The Celestial can manipulate shadows, although Mika knows little of how to utilize the power.

Character Name: Mal Col Um (Or just Malcolm)
Species: Bogeyman
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Homeland: The dark corners of the world (It's California)

Background: Mal is from probably the youngest monster race around, the Bogeyman. Unlike the more dominant vampires, werewolves, and other races, bogeymen tend to be solitary, lurking in the dark places of the world where no one can find them, priding themselves on being the true "masters of fear" who prowl mankind's nightmares. Mal... differs from that. A lot. He was born in a more liberal household that didn't follow the old rules of the bogeymen race. No, this family believed in just scaring someone once a month for some sustenance, in harmless ways. Mal took those lessons to heart and... well, nothing terribly note-worthy happened so far. Mal could almost pass for a normal human if not for the fact he's so chill and laidback all the time. Unknown to him, his parents have come under scrutiny from the wider bogeyman community, so now Mal's being shipped off to the academy for his own safety.

Personality: Mal isn't like the other bogeymen. He's not interested in scaring children or hiding under beds. No. He just wants to play video games, eat nachos, and jump on beds. Mal is laidback, oblivious at times, hyper-focused on things he loves, nearly always smiling, and constantly on the lookout for new things to try. In terms of friends, Mal likes to just drag them along on whatever crazy idea he's got; for example, finding that prick who kept saying they'd banged his mom over the Playstation network.

Background: Mal is from probably the youngest monster race around, the Bogeyman. Unlike the more dominant vampires, werewolves, and other races, bogeymen tend to be solitary, lurking in the dark places of the world where no one can find them, priding themselves on being the true "masters of fear" who prowl mankind's nightmares. Mal... differs from that. A lot. He was born in a more liberal household that didn't follow the old rules of the bogeymen race. No, this family believed in just scaring someone once a month for some sustenance, in harmless ways. Mal took those lessons to heart and... well, nothing terribly note-worthy happened so far. Mal could almost pass for a normal human if not for the fact he's so chill and laidback all the time. Unknown to him, his parents have come under scrutiny from the wider bogeyman community, so now Mal's being shipped off to the academy for his own safety.

Personality: Mal isn't like the other bogeymen. He's not interested in scaring children or hiding under beds. No. He just wants to play video games, eat nachos, and jump on beds. Mal is laidback, oblivious at times, hyper-focused on things he loves, nearly always smiling, and constantly on the lookout for new things to try. In terms of friends, Mal likes to just drag them along on whatever crazy idea he's got; for example, finding that prick who kept saying they'd banged his mom over the Playstation network.

She is very friendly, loving, and nurturing and enjoys cooking and baking and relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea. Background: Aodhan is the only child of Duke Trystan Galdor and Duchess Sine(SHE-na) Galdor, both of whom are fire elves. The low fertility of all elven races has led to a lot of mingling of the elemental elves and different elven races (fire with earth, air with water, earth with night, etc), resulting in elves gifted in manipulating more than one element, or power, but to a much lesser degree than if they were born purely of one element or power. Aodhan was raised to believe he was superior to his peers because he is an elf of pure fire, and nothing else, and he was encouraged to befriend other elves of a “pure” lineage, regardless of which of the elven races they were, and to not sully himself with the “muddied” elves.

A few months ago, Aodhan was involved in a disagreement with a young woman of mixed elemental heritage. He lost his temper, and control of his fire. Much to his horror, he ended up sending the poor girl to the infirmary with horrible burns down the left side her face and neck. They were so bad, the healers weren’t able to completely remove the scars, marking her for life. According to elven law, the girl’s parent were well within their right to demand reparations, up to and including insisting Aodhan be marked in kind. He spent the next few days in a state of gut wrenching terror. He couldn’t be burned by fire, but ice would sure do it, and he waited in breathless, nail biting anticipating for an ice elf to show up to permanently, and painfully, scar him as punishment for his hubris.

When he was finally summoned to court, he took extra special care to dress well and steeled his nerve, preparing for the worst. If was going to scarred, he would at least look his best. He was thoroughly reprimanded for losing control as he did, especially since he was supposed to have been taught better control than he exhibited. For his punishment, Aodhan was given a choice. Go to the Citadel Academy for a proper education and, hopefully learn a little humility, or submit to scarring. Aodhan saw it as a choice between exile or mutilation. He chose exile. To add insult to injury, he has been made to wear a necklace that caps his power. He can’t remove it until he learns to control his own fire. This is something done to all elven children until they reach the equivalent of 13 or so, and have proven they have control. He can still summon and manipulate fire, but not to the degree he could before. If he tries, it hurts. A lot.
Personality: Aodhan is an ambivert. He enjoys social interactions, but also relishes quiet moments with his own company. He firmly believes he is superior to others and will not hesitate to chip away at his peers’ self esteem by belittling them. Fire doesn’t burn him, and it’s a favourite trick of his to startle those who don’t know by shoving his hands into a fire and pulling out a handful of hot embers. He hates the cold, and spending too much time out in anything colder than 5 degrees Celsius without bundling up as if he’s heading for the Arctic is dangerous, and you can bet he will not venture out into the cold unless he absolutely must. At his best, he is clever, quick-witted and generous. At his worst, he is egotistical, proud and cruel, which is what most will see at the beginning of the RP. He loves music, reading and painting.

Appearance: Aodhan is 6’1” at the start of the RP. He will finish his growth at 6’3”. Niklas, a rare albino steam dragon, and Synne, an electric blue dragon, were chosen to be a team, and it didn’t take long for them to become close friends.

When Synne was 14, Niklas went missing. At first, they thought it was a rival dragon society who had stolen him to add to their own numbers. Albino steamers are rare, so it made sense he would be sought after. They scoured the island in search of him, but no one had him, and if they did, they were hiding him well. After a year, Synne was encouraged to take a new partner and begin training with him, but she refused. She insisted Niklas was still alive somewhere. Her search took her away from the Dragon Isles, against the wishes of the elder committee. She found Niklas being held captive by a group of humans using a strange mixture of magic and technology. She attacked them, and through the combined use of her electricity and Niklas’ impenetrable cloud of steam, helped him to escape. She told the elders about the strange humans she saw, and it was agreed they would both begin their education at the Academy a little earlier than planned. It would be a safe place for both of them. At the start of the RP, it has been a little under a year since Niklas’ return.

Personality: Synne is cheerful, energetic and outgoing. She doesn’t care who a person is, or where they’re from; if they’re good people, she’ll be friends. But he didn’t feel special, and he most certainly didn’t want all the attention

One day, feeling a bit stifled and claustrophobic, he flew off toward the edge of the island to get some time to himself. He had been told many times to not fly off on his own, but he’d been doing for years and nothing ever happened. Until it did. One moment he was curiously watching a human walk toward him, the next he was waking up in the middle of room full of bright, blinding light. A tight, thick collar was secured around his neck. It’s purpose, he had been told, was to prevent him from changing at will. He’d change when he was told he could.

Niklas lost track of time, there. His memories of the place are fractured and scattered. What he does remember clearly is the day Synne came to his rescue. She literally stormed her way into…wherever he was…and the feeling of that collar falling away…once they were reunited, there had been no stopping their escape. As unhappy as the elder dragons were at Synne for disregarding their orders, they were happier Niklas was alive. They questioned him about who these humans were and what they wanted, but Niklas was unable to say. Just under a year later, they were both sent to the Academy to learn, and to stay safe.

Personality: Before Niklas’ capture, he was quiet, thoughtful and introspective. He enjoyed being around people and socializing, but he has always been happier to let others do most of the talking, while he listened. Now, he’s still all of those things, but with a little harmless madness thrown in to season it. He has an easy laugh, and quick wit. He’s quite intelligent, and loves to learn new things. There’s nothing in the world better to him than a good rainstorm, and you can be guaranteed to find him outside in the middle of it, soaked to the skin. He also enjoys training with Synne. Niklas is a voracious reader, and loves to collect rocks from places he’s been. Except one place. He hopes to never see that place again.

He refuses to wear anything tight around his neck. In fact, it’s a struggle to get him to wear a shirt. He doesn’t like how confined it makes him feel.

Appearance: In human form, Niklas is 6 feet tall with extremely pale skin, collar length white hair, and pale violet eyes. A literal lifetime of hard training in learning to defend has given him a sturdy, solid build. In his dragon form he is all white with violet eyes, and the underside of the webbing on his wings is soft pink. He is sturdy and strong, built for defense.

Background: Niklas was partnered with Synne shortly after he turned 2. He’s younger than her by 2 months, which, according to Synne, may as well be years, the way she mothers him sometimes. Niklas has been treated like he was something special ever since he was born, and it always made him uncomfortable. The way other female dragons reacted when he was partnered with Synne – the envy and longing looks, confused him. It wasn’t until his and Synne’s instructor told him the ability to thoroughly obscure vision with a thick cloud of steam was an ability exclusive to male albinos, and he was the first born in generations, he began to understand. But he didn’t feel special, and he most certainly didn’t want all the attention

One day, feeling a bit stifled and claustrophobic, he flew off toward the edge of the island to get some time to himself. He had been told many times to not fly off on his own, but he’d been doing for years and nothing ever happened. Until it did. One moment he was curiously watching a human walk toward him, the next he was waking up in the middle of room full of bright, blinding light. A tight, thick collar was secured around his neck. It’s purpose, he had been told, was to prevent him from changing at will. He’d change when he was told he could.

Niklas lost track of time, there. His memories of the place are fractured and scattered. What he does remember clearly is the day Synne came to his rescue. She literally stormed her way into…wherever he was…and the feeling of that collar falling away…once they were reunited, there had been no stopping their escape. As unhappy as the elder dragons were at Synne for disregarding their orders, they were happier Niklas was alive. They questioned him about who these humans were and what they wanted, but Niklas was unable to say. Just under a year later, they were both sent to the Academy to learn, and to stay safe.

Personality: Before Niklas’ capture, he was quiet, thoughtful and introspective. He enjoyed being around people and socializing, but he has always been happier to let others do most of the talking, while he listened. Now, he’s still all of those things, but with a little harmless madness thrown in to season it. He has an easy laugh, and quick wit. He’s quite intelligent, and loves to learn new things. There’s nothing in the world better to him than a good rainstorm, and you can be guaranteed to find him outside in the middle of it, soaked to the skin. He also enjoys training with Synne. Niklas is a voracious reader, and loves to collect rocks from places he’s been. Except one place. He hopes to never see that place again.

He refuses to wear anything tight around his neck. In fact, it’s a struggle to get him to wear a shirt. He doesn’t like how confined it makes him feel.

Appearance: In human form, Niklas is 6 feet tall with extremely pale skin, collar length white hair, and pale violet eyes. A literal lifetime of hard training in learning to defend has given him a sturdy, solid build. In his dragon form he is all white with violet eyes, and the underside of the webbing on his wings is soft pink. He is sturdy and strong, built for defense.

Enveloping steam. Niklas can generate a nearly visually impenetrable wall of steam a person could easily find themselves lost in. It’s damp and quite humid, so spending too much time in it can cause breathing difficulties. It’s a perfect conductor for Synne’s electricity. It lasts for about half an hour before it dissipates.

Rosalie could just about pass for human as she's able to hide her wings and her characteristically pointy ears can be obscured by her hair. Rosalie is your typical fairy, she enjoys making friends and using her magic to help and heal people. She is very friendly, loving, and nurturing and enjoys cooking and baking and relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea. She enjoys gardening and grows her own flowers and herbs that she uses in her own custom tea blends that she uses to heal people.

Homeland: The dark corners of the world (It's California)

Background: Mal is from probably the youngest monster race around, the Bogeyman. Unlike the more dominant vampires, werewolves, and other races, bogeymen tend to be solitary, lurking in the dark places of the world where no one can find them, priding themselves on being the true "masters of fear" who prowl mankind's nightmares. Mal... differs from that. A lot. He was born in a more liberal household that didn't follow the old rules of the bogeymen race. No, this family believed in just scaring someone once a month for some sustenance, in harmless ways. Mal took those lessons to heart and... well, nothing terribly note-worthy happened so far. Mal could almost pass for a normal human if not for the fact he's so chill and laidback all the time. Unknown to him, his parents have come under scrutiny from the wider bogeyman community, so now Mal's being shipped off to the academy for his own safety.

Personality: Mal isn't like the other bogeymen. He's not interested in scaring children or hiding under beds. No. He just wants to play video games, eat nachos, and jump on beds. Mal is laidback, oblivious at times, hyper-focused on things he loves, nearly always smiling, and constantly on the lookout for new things to try. In terms of friends, Mal likes to just drag them along on whatever crazy idea he's got; for example, finding that prick who kept saying they'd banged his mom over the Playstation network.

Shadow Hunt - Mal can hide and travel in shadows in his true form. He can squeeze under the tightest of doorframes, blend into the underside of any bed, all the average things a bogeyman can do.
Fear Sense - Bogeymen are able to sense what others fear due to their ability to feed off the emotion, and are instinctively drawn to those feeling any kind of fear, with the effect of being able to take on an illusionary form of that fear to feed themselves. Mal isn't well-versed in this due to his liberal upbringing, but he can still do it.

BACKGROUND

HOMELAND:
Hallowed Realm

Mika was born to a well-off family in the Hallowed Realm. After losing her parents at a young age (so young she cannot remember them and what they were like) her family was taken in by her Aunt. The middle child of 5, Mika was always fighting for attention over her siblings, until one day, her younger siblings and older sister went out to play and never came back. They were assumed to be taken by any of the various miserable beings that lurk amongst the shadows of the Hallowed. Thus, they still have not been found, and are presumed dead. Remaining is her older brother, formerly the second oldest of the five. They spent all their time bickering and engaging in petty fights, until her brother, Alan, eventually grew out of that phase and wanted nothing to do with Mika anymore. Then, she was able to become the favorite child. Doing everything and anything to please her aunt became her new pastime. Learning to cook, clean, use her manners, and most importantly learn to utilize her racial traits. Of course, this was short lived, and Mika realized that her Aunt just wanted to use her to move up in the world. In spite, she decided to do what she wanted. Things like hunting, learning various crafts, sparring, fighting, weaponry, and more.

During a hunt, one day, she found herself up against a creature that held more power than her. On the brink of death, she found herself presented with redemption. A pact from a lower celestial. His conditions? After using his powers, Mika must give up control of her body to him for 15 minutes. She agreed to the pact, and thus the celestial lent her the power. Now, she continues to utilize this pact moving forward, although she does not go out of her way to tell anyone of it.





PERSONALITY

Mika is very quick to anger. She can get pissed at the slightest of things, and isn’t the best at ignoring taunts. At the same time, she often nags others on, trying to annoy them so she can spar. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, which can often get her in trouble. Mika can be serious, though, and when she is, can be a great person to talk to. Although, most of the time she prefers to avoid any and all responsibility. She holds grudges easily, and often takes out her anger through being a bit destructive and vulgar. Like swearing, a lot.



MAGIC

RACIAL TRAITS:
  • Scorpion Tail: Mika has a tail that can function like that of a scorpion. This includes a sharp stinger on the top, which can secrete venom, but also act as a blade. It’s arched upwards when at rest and can be moved with varying flexibility
  • Scorpion Venom: Her tail can secrete 1 of 3 venoms at a time. The first can cause delusions, hallucinations, and the like for up to 5 minutes. The second can Paralyze her enemy for up to 5 minutes. The third is an anti-venom. It can be used on others to lessen the effects of other poisons and venoms. This comes with a natural level of immunity to general venoms. There is a limit to how much she can produce, however. Only one type can be produced per hour.

Mika has a celestial pact with an unnamed Celestial. The man offers up his powers to her in return for control over her body for 15 minutes. The Celestial can manipulate shadows, although Mika knows little of how to utilize the power.
