Sounds good! He can jump straight onto the questing thread if that's the case, since the group is currently at the docks getting acquainted with the ship. It's already pretty chaotic on board so if you have any questions about what's going on (or if anyone else is confused about recent events), then let me know. I can do my best to try and clarify.

In any case, I look forward to seeing the little guy in action!
Well, I definitely need aid in figuring out where to put the lil Axolotl Wizard within the docks, so, I do need help with that. Along with knowing the situation as well.

Although, a random idea of him just randomly popping out of a fish barrel due to him looking for a snack would be a funny way to introduce him to the party

Now if only we could have an arcane duel between The Wizard and Oxi. A battle to see who really is the mightiest wizard.
You dare challenge the mighty Oxi ‘Little’ in a battle of the arcane? Fool, it was already decided that you have lost such a battle from the very start!

Sylph Sylph Sylph Sylph is this how one de-escalates an argument?
I'M CACKLING OML THEY ARE ACTUAL CHILDREN

Great start to the expedition, rolling around having a squabble (loved the discourse on harpies btw. Definitely need to do a vulture character at some point)!

That would be so cute!! Though Scrapper might mistake him for a snack himself whoops

Pfft… well, nonetheless, still need a tldr on the situation at hand, as well as already getting a new character idea for my second lad

Essentially, my next character idea is related to this:

D58402F8-3AD4-420E-AE6B-EB1DA1572D80.jpeg

An mysterious individual who has joined the guild some time ago, this man, while isn’t entirely quiet and does speak enough to not be accidentally considered a ‘golem’, almost never has he ever spoken about his place of origin as well as anything else within his personal life. But what is known, is his apparent over preparedness in terms of equipment, such as two serrated machete blades, poison tipped throwing knives, ‘flash bombs’ (a custom made Bomb of his that is essentially the fantasy version of a flash bang), grappling hook, flintlock rifle, and so much more. Honestly, with the type of equipment he brings, it seems like he was only focusing on humanoid based targets, especially with a few items in his arsenal that are used as counters to magic. Utilizing a strong body as well apparent agility, this down to earth fighter focuses on controlling the very field with his mini arsenal of gadgets and weaponry such as caltrops to stop an enemy advance or a flintlock rifle to pick off foes from afar, what he lacks in the magical power that many other individuals wield, he makes up for it in tactics and merciless fighting. Goals may or may not relate to a more sinister plot he has yet to fulfill.

A sort of walking arsenal mage slayer from the looks of it. Seems like a pretty cool character idea.

Slightly

tldr: 2 white haired smol things are bickering, a third and bigger one intervining, leo is more lost than a kid in ball pit, shepard is looking, hanzel too. The 2 bird and the goblin are doing stuff. In general they are near.
The group has currently just stepped aboard The Salvager, which is the ship they'll be joining in order to explore the Sacred Isles.

The two 'white hairs' fighting are Ymir (my character) and Eiru (Swiftshots). The former was knocked out by the latter and carried to the ship since she hates water and wouldn't have gone otherwise, so upon waking she's immediately decided to attack Eiru. Leo (Blyke Luxford) is a iron-rank adventurer who Eiru is supposed to be supervising, but in reality he's probably the least problematic of the trio.

The one intervening is Mani (Wolfram), who has just arrived on scene along with Hanzel, the ship's quartermaster (my character).

Shepard (also Wolfram) is a sailor joining them on the journey. She's currently observing the situation.

There are two avian characters who were previously asking questions about the journey. A harpy, Nanalee (Silverfeathers) and the kenku bard, Ruvo (Ratking). There's also a goblin specialising in munitions called Freed (Yahhah) who's been observing as well.

Overall, the ship is in its final stages of preparation for departure. The unnamed (ie npc) crew members are loading up supplies for the journey, and the captain of the ship, Scrapper (my character) is directing the efforts from the sky.

Tldr: it's chaos, but slowly they're getting close to departure :')

Abelgard looks good! Comparing him and Oxi is complete tonal whiplash lol
I have two sides, one, smol eccentric amphibian who loves magic stuff, and the other, a magic hating Bounty Hunter who is serious all the time

But anyway, he isn’t entirely focused on being serious and such, has his moments when doing things like our camping or (forgotten to add this to his fun facts) writing in his journal about the daily events he go through, but yeah, I needed a more serious character to balance out the funny and loveable Oxi ‘LittleM

For sure! I love playing around with different character types, it's so much fun.

Also, wow, just realized how many magic users there actually were within the Guild… (Abel will not be having a good time there)

Lol! He will definitely not. Magic is pretty commonplace in places like the guilds. Most people have affinities, but not everyone learns to use them since it requires time and effort to practice, and usually a teacher as well. Kinda like martial arts irl. Good to learn in theory, but life tends to get in the way

Also, pretty sure someone has tried or went against someone with anti-magic before.. so they may have some options to go against such although, it looks like only one person from what I saw so far has the strength to outmatch his own, but not the agility

Hm? I'm not sure if you mean in general, or about something specific. As far as I know we haven't had any anti-magic characters, but there would definitely be others like Abelgard in the kingdom

Lol, would that be Vas'on? I'm calling Vas'on. A fight between them would be pretty interesting actually.

You don't have to wait! I'm not feeling very well at the moment, so I'll just catch up afterwards.
Oh noo ;^; Hope you feel better soon! I'll try leave Nanalee with a more direct interaction so it's easier to jump back in

Yeah, while he doesn’t have the constitution or fortitude as him, Abel is one of the more faster characters within the rp as well as being closer than some others in terms of strength… would be interesting to see how a duel between them shall go.

As for the Anti-magic thing, I was talking about in General, but surprising to see that none one else had gone with the route of anti-magic, especially at the level I put Abel at. I suppose it will make for a interesting bit when we have this individual who not only snorts at attempts of removing magic from him (due to him having no reliance on it), but also counter magic by himself as well using his amulet or tools… Gonna feel sorry for the lad who is gonna be hit by the Flash Bomb / Cough Drop combo

Technically, attribute wise, with a low constitution, he get more easily tired. So, in a battle, winning would be defined as pure attrition if he faces off the likes of Va'son or Akeldama.
True, but there is more than just using stats as a way of beating someone. My main goal with Abel is for him to use tactics and dirty fighting in combat using his equipment and outmaneuver his opponents using such. Stats aren’t only the main thing here, although, they can influence the battle somewhat. And even then, Abel has higher than average constitution (going with the fact that 0 is the average), which means it would take longer to get tired. Still, this is a “what if”, and a interesting thing to think about

I think even the shock factor of having their magic taken away would give Abel a pretty good opening to end the fight quickly. Totally on point with the whole stats being relative too! I'll be looking for ways to bring in attributes during the expedition, so I might start putting the stats in my characters' macros for easy access.

Good point! Going off that, Ymir's tactic is definitely outrun and outlast, given her high agility and constitution.

Heh, yeah. Although I do plan on improving both his Constitution along with Fortitude in the future (considering he is still a fresh character in the rp), with rp wise of him training himself more in the body such as stamina as well as hardening his mind even more from the effects of magic… plus, would be interesting to see what kind of new tactics I’ll use with him in order to correspond with a situation To which, I’ll enjoy using the Flash Bomb + Cough Drop combo, what’s worse than being blind and deaf, is that you are also coughing uncontrollably and your lungs probably feel like fire.

Being paralytic, senseless, that is worse. Against a metal manipulator, Abel would be in a hell. And hypothetically he doesn't has a way to expel magic from inside his body, because he doesn't use magic, so overload from inside would be more easy than outside, and activating the amulet would be a great way to dispel it, however there is no exit from his body as a magic use would have, creating pressure inside until it pops like a baloon, that is theorically.
Highly enhanced animals would be a bad experience too.
Well, that is certainly something to see alright. Although, seeing as so far, he has been going pretty strong within the rp as with his background, Abel had survived so far to silver rank even with this hypothetical, and I wanted to go with the idea of a true anti-magic individual, so I’ll think of a few ways for it. Not sure about the magic expelling part unless Chin has mentioned it somewhere, but I don’t think it would sit well to just essentially have your character pop like a balloon due to him not having any way of expelling magic from his body, and, don’t think it would show up much in the rp at all. Animals are still a problem tho, like Minotaurs as I listed, but even then, he still uses his methods against them, too tough of an hide? Acid bomb. Highly sensitive to hearing? Flash Bomb. Attack in swarms? Alchemist fire. Just depends on the situation.

The sacred barrel idea has returned, soon, Oxi will arrive! Will write up a post in a bit, however, would be more interesting to see someone open the barrel and see a Axolotl humanoid in wizardly clothing chewing on a small fish
