// let's teach the pitiful children! //
the great escape
inspired by real-life events and something i wrote a long time ago, at writing camp
i'd play: muse a
((this is my first time doing an interest check or a group roleplay, so please let me know if i've done anything wrong!))
---
it's the middle of the night, and muse a is sneaking out of their house.
they have their suitcase packed, a van full of gas, and a plan.
tonight, they're acting as a getaway driver.
their cargo is as follows:
passengers one and two (muse a and muse b): "boy" and "girl", a quiet boy with a boisterous girlfriend
passengers three and four (muse c and muse d): the "lover boys", two gentle boys so in love with one another, both willing to protect the other until their last breath.
passengers five and six (muse e and muse f): "romeo" and "juliet", a pair of veritable "star-crossed lovers" whose parents forbid their romance.
and passenger seven (muse g): "stargazer", quiet and solitary, with a love only for the vast expanse of glittering lights in the inky black sky.
their mission: escort seven passengers out of town and drive them halfway across the country.
their end goal: a safehouse in north cypress, manitoba, run by young adults very much like themselves.
---
notes:
- this takes place in canada, where the age of majority is 18. as such, please make sure your characters are in the 18-21 year old range, please!
- when i had originally written this, i hadn't given them names, and simply said things like "boy" and "stargazer" and "romeo". this was a big problem in writing the "lover boys", haha. if you want, you can give the character you're playing an actual name!
- "stargazer" is agender and asexual, and uses he/they pronouns. i would really really really like to keep it this way, as it is the way i have written and molded their character. if you're really uncomfortable writing them this way, please let me know via PM and we can work something out. if you'd like to take a crack at writing this character but aren't sure how, please ask! i'm agender myself, so i could potentially offer some advice on how to write an agender character!
- this roleplay WILL HAVE AN ENDING! it ends with them arriving (safely, i hope) at the safehouse.
- if you wanted to double up with characters, feel free! if you wanted to tag team with an rpnation friend and write one character each, that's cool too! if you wanted to write one person from two different relationships (ex. writing both "girl" and "romeo"), that's also acceptable!
