The Goldenview Alliance

Lyla's communication crystal began to vibrate and pulsate a purple light. Someone was calling.

(It's Lia, not Lyla.)

She decided to ignore the crystal, which was hanging from a small bit of fine rope, making her hip feel a bit weird as the crystal vibrated again her bare skin. Besides, who every was trying to get a hold of her was most likely already in Goldenview, and was only going to whine at her for leaving them alone even though the knew where she was going.

"Well, you alone re going to tell me your name right?" She asked the mesmerized knight. @Jefferson

Aegon Calderan

Aegon rose to his feet Finally coming to his senses. "um hi, I'm Aegon... Aegon Calderan, nice to meet you." The knight smiled. He wondered what had brought the elf to goldenview. Most of the elven territories were left unscathed. Finally snapping fully from his state of shock, he spoke again. "i think i might be lost, do you happen to know where the recipients of this letter are to go?"

he asked with less hesitation than before.

"You got one too?" She questioned, taping the letter she had. "Hmm, I believe the palace," Lia then said after a moment of thinking. "It was that family who sent the letters out, so it would make sense."

Ghille De Bas

( @Jefferson @Kiowa Sorry was at work all day.  Just gonna act like Mr.Skeletal face went on his merry way after the processing.)

The man had continued on from where he was processed. The slight recollection of the events that passed flooding through his mind. He was somewhat thankful of the woman's understanding; but he was far assuming she held back most of her content for his features. He at least felt some relief, his helm now back on his tattered skull. But before him was a city with what seemed like no limits. Quite a shock to a man who had been on his own for so long, the hustle and bustle of people going into the city from processing seemed like a tidal wave. His sense were flooded by the smells, the sounds of the culture before him, his only anchor being the letter resting in his hands; He was to fight, but where was he to report? Who did he report to... He had not the slightest idea.  But he pressed on, starting to walk, following the crowd, his eyes stalking for anyone who might seem like a warrior. But when in doubt, he knew a soldier went to the barracks, and so he began moving towards the castle, his large legs moving in agile strides.

"Oi! Lia!" Liam shouted, whilst running behind her. "God damn it, you said you would wait!" When the ranger reached the elf, he tugged on his brown leather jacket and gave a grumpy look at her. "You said that you would wait while I took a leak and packed up our stuff! But, will you look at that, as soon as I come back, you aren't there. How can we be partners if you can't just stay still for a minute?"

Taking a breath in she closed her eyes for a moment before placing a hand over her stomach protectively. "Thankyou. Now if you two children have finished shouting at each other we can continue on." Walking back round she sat herself down onto the chair and rolled her shoulders forwards. Glancing to the side she smiled seeing the Sergeant leave with a grin on his face, impressed by her words he knew she could handle the situation. Her back went straight and her expression formal, gazing between the two men her sight finally settle on Balmond. "Are you here to help us? Or here to cause trouble. Because so help me I will have you imprisoned longer than anyone has seen the light of day." The pit of her stomach twisted, the idea of this monster fighting along side her knocked her a little, but she knew he would be a good ally to have.

Sir Balmond Calderan.

Again balmond chuckled this town had gotten some fire in them with the demons invading. His glowing red eyes locked onto the princess. "I Am not here to cause trouble, or to join your little suicide Squad." he gestured to the people gathered. "I am here seeking warriors to aide me, I know how to stop the gates..." he tapped the evil Tome on his hip as if the answers lied there when he made his point.

Aegon Calderan

"alright thanks, I'm heading there now...you don't seem to be from around here, what was it that brought you to goldenview?"

He asked Lia but before he could hear her answer another man run up from behind them talking to her...

"Well, me and my escort got the same letter and though he didn't want to come and wanted to stay out in the forest, I convinced him to come here," Lia explained, "Speaking of which.....Liam I left because you were taking to long!" She retorted, before looking back at Aegon, "How about we tag along? The guards have been hassling me, so maybe now they'll leave me alone. Plus, you seem like a cool guy."

"Why do you keep calling me your escort? You've been living at my house for a year. Aren't we just 'friends' now?" Liam griped, before he slung his bow back over his shoulder. The ranger raised an eyebrow at Aegon, and turned to the snow elf.

"Is, uh.. is this another one of your 'clients'?"

Aegon Calderan

The young knight arched his eyebrow at his two new companions.

" Uh not sure what you mean by client sir, we just met. I had to slip in through the river channel seeing as how the crowds at the gate are ridiculous, She offered to accompany to the palace so we could find out what to do with this."

He flashed the letter at the ranger wondering how many others received the letters as well.

"I am sir Aegon Calderan Son of Garrot, A pleasure to meet you Sir Liam."

When he offered his hand to the ranger his cloak shifted a bit breifly revealing Gridix on his hip. The blade was well known almost as much so as its previous weilder. The golden hilt with the sun shaped pommel had carved many myths and legends. However there was no way of knowing if this was the real deal, many knights had taken to weilding replica's of the blade that were little more than Shiny metal blades.

"do you really think we can stop all that's happening?" he asked in a low tone.

"He means client because, not that he noticed I quit, I use to offer certain services to paying people. Anyway, I stopped that ahout ahout year ago, after he offered to escort me around. Anyway, not that it matters much, Liam didn't get a letter, so he's here with me," Lia explained, "So, shall we get going?"

"Yeah, don't call me that. You can just call me Liam." The ranger said with some distaste in his voice. He also refused to shake his hand. He was a knight. And Liam did not like knights. Not after what they had done to him and his family....

"Once again, not an escort. I am a friend." He complained, before walking a bit closer to Lia. "We have known each other for an entire year after you killed that guy."

Aegon Celderan.

"Liam it is!" Aegon said seemingly unaware of the rangers disdain. In reality he was just to polite to prod. He figured he must've had some trouble with knights in the past. Very Few knights were honorable in this lifetime, Just look at his uncle who despite his evil was technically still a knight.

"Yes we should get going, I left my horse At the tavern outside and he will be upset if I'm gone too long." turning he began to procede up the road towards the palace. A few guards eyed him and his band but none did more than look, and as they passed the guards turned their heads back to scanning the crowd.

It was only about a ten minute walk to the palace but when they arrived the portcullis was closed and four guards stood at the door.

"Halt..." The guard commanded. As the party approached. "The kings are meeting with the generals and the Grand Father. If you are here to answer the letter then head to the guards Barraks. The princess and the others chosen will meet you there." after his clearly rehersed command the guard put his hand back down and stared past them.

Lia chose to ignore Liam, since he didn't seem to get that she, at the moment, saw them nothing more than business partners. "That still doesn't make us friends," she finally commented. The elf followed Aegon, until he guard stopped them, and told them they had to go to the guard barracks. Lia decided it would be a good idea to put the new sandles on briefly for this.

Grunting at Balmonds words, her eyes seemed to spark like a fire in a forest as the emerald orbs beamed out. "You are either her to fight with us. Or not. Balmond." She stood up again, her back was straight and her voice was harsh but powerful. Her hands tucked under her elbows where her arms had crossed most of the people who had a letter had either decided it would be better to come back on a later date or stood in fear far behind the three who were talking. But Rosalee wasn't too afraid. She knew if it was a fight he wanted it's one he was going to get, but not with violence with words. She wouldn't allow herself to stoop to a level of such just yet. "We would be happy to have you with us. But I cannot allow you to just walk out. You either fight with us, or as I said. Sun light." Her brows lay still, but eyes spit fire. She was ready.

"If that is your wish princess." to the surprise of all gathered there balmond took a knee, bowing to the princess.

"Mark my words however princess, Ignore my advice at your own peril, There are none alive who know hell like I do." the dread knight chuckled as he remembered his Nephew. "well perhaps just one."

He rose from his kneeling position and said "You have My Axe, Don't waste it."

Rosalee sighed for a moment, her knowledge on war was little and knew she may struggle but she knew she'd need help. Head in her hands she lent back sat back down in a tired state before looking up to Balmond. "I have no intention of ignoring your advice. You may sit in a meeting with my generals and discuss what you believe will be a good place to start." She made a fake smile before her face went into a wary position. Picking up her quill one more tie she began writing again. The day had already been long as Balmonds grand entrance made it no difference into shortening it. "One more thing, step out of line and you face my wrath." Her throat almost didn't allow her to say what she did, a threat wasn't the best place to move, but she had to stand her ground, had to make a point not only to Balmond but herself and her people. That she wouldn't stand for behaviour that wasn't appropriate in the city.

Aegon Calderan.

The barracks were only a few blocks away from the palace making it relatively easy for Aegon to find them. He walked silently beside his new companions, not exactly knowing what to say to them. The past seven years for him had been like a scrambled training montage that for all intents and purposes shouldn't have worked. Somehow Aegon had made something from nothing but it took a heavy toll, He had barely spoken to people.

The barracks building was fairly large, it stood six stories tall and occupied half a block. It held accomidations for up to 20,000 at a time. The building also Wasn't empty. Several tough looking adventurers, Knights, and mages were scattered about the Hallway and all heading towards the Aegon couldn't help but smirk when he noticed one of the knights had a replica of the Gridix at his hip. "Should be any moment now." He said excitedly.

(You guys wanna do a brief time skip? A few in game hours from now we should all be in the barracks)

"Well then I had best be on my best behavior huh?" the dreadknight tikted his head slightly and proceeded into the City. The guards looked at him with a mixture of hatred and Terror. He didn't stop for directions, there was no need. Balmond had spent a little over a decade attempting to destroy this place and in his research had memorized every brick and board In this place.

My how things have changed...

he mused on his way towards the Palace.

Rosalee shook her head in exhaustion. Her head was thumping and her heart felt like a humming bird. After Balmond had left she screamed out in anger and a release of her emotions before she broke down, most of the guards that were around just stood in silence occasionally looking over to the Princess confused at what just happened. Wiping over her face with a small cloth she waved her hand dismissing them from their duties before she went over to the edge of the steps and sat her down, rubbing the cloth round the back of her neck and tying up her hair. Sighing a few times her head stay sat in her hands as she mumbled to herself.

"Balmond..course he'd be here.. And what do I do? Recruit him. Oh yeah, give a murderous animal a royal sword and have him fight with you... BRILLIANT IDEA ROSALEE!!"

Screaming out the last of her mumble, the advisers that were around had soon left after hearing Rosalee mumbling to herself. It was the way she used to get out her emotions without it coming through into her power when she needed to keep it inside. Thankfully none of them knew that.

"This is alot of people," Lia muttered, looking around. "So, the letter was sent out everywhere....how come you didn't get one Liam? Do they not like you?" The elf asked, looking over her shoulder at him. "Cause that's actually not really hard to believe."

It took her about a couple of seconds before she was in the human realm. What she liked about the portal was that it gave her a chance to change her appearance and scent. A demon such as herself would be detected in seconds by the smell that she had carried into the realm. As she went through, her wings went away and her hair got just a bit longer and she looked to be wearing black skin-tight pants, black knee-high boots, and a pretty revealing top that had shades of black and red. When she was finally out of the portal, it dispersed and made her end up in a small room that seemed to be a tavern-hotel type of place. When she walked out of the room she made way downstairs and outside. "Decessus has his plans and I have mine," she tells herself as she exits the tavern. Decthalia was very annoyed at him that he would purposely leave her, but she wasn't going to let him throw her off. There was a large noise, that sounded like alarms. She shook her head, Decthalia had forgotten that the kingdom of Goldenview has portal detectors in some areas. She quickly exited the tavern but calmly without drawing any attention. When she got outside every was looked up in the sky and all around trying to see what is happening. Men on their horses ran her way and so she went into an alley and kicked off the ground and went over a wall with a bit of force. Decthalia let out a sigh and she came in front of building of some sorts, as she walked towards the building a piece of paper flew in her face and she took it off with one hand and began to read it. It was an invitation that went out to a girl by the name of Thalia. This was pretty ironic considering the fact that Decthalia's nickname is Thalia, or at least that's what her father used to call her. A smirk appeared on her face as she watched others go into the building with a paper in their hands. She immediately thought that perhaps she should try and infiltrate this place by using the paper she found to get in. She walked towards the building and went in, she blended in with the crowd of mages, knights, and other warriors as they made their way to a room. As she looked around the hallway and then looked into the room she spotted a young lad (hehe lad) who looked all too familiar to her but she shrugged it off. Decthalia made her way towards him and stood right next to him, she looked at him for a good second before looking forwards. Decthalia had no idea why on earth she did so, but she knew she couldn't undo what has already been down.

Aegon had barely noticed the alarms when the woman came up beside him.

"oh...Uh...Hi." he started but was cut off by several men who quickly entered the room a General behind them. On thier necks they wore stones that glowed a faint crimson, as they entered the room they held the stones up to people but the glow faded. They began circling the room scanning each person.

But the general simply stood at the door. He didn't move even slightly just let his hands dangle to the side, four swords on his back, Helmeted head pointing strait at Aegon.

"Scan the Boy." he demanded calmly as one of the guards approached him.

Decthalia heard him speaking to her and before she could turn to face him and say hello or give a slight smile, she was interrupted by a guard that came up to him. Decthalia wondered why he was being scanned. She wondered what was going on since she saw the whole entire place heavily guarded by men and a tall and very buff looking guy by the door that stood there like a nail. Her eyes made eye contact with him, before she broke it off slowly trying to not attract him or anyone. "What's going on?" Decthalia said as she calmly spoke to the guard that was scanning the man next to her.

Rosalee rose her head quickly hearing the alarm begin to sound throughout the city. She jumped herself up and rushed into he barracks and began buckling her armour onto her. She was in a small state of panic, unaware of what had just entered her city. The guards had already run out and began searching the city before they could stop her from doing anything rash. Not that she would. Of-course. The golden armour sat comfortably on her body after careful re-shaping from her fathers crafty hands. Tying up her hair into a simple braided plat she grabbed one of the guardsman swords thinking that would be all she would need for now. Having no intention to fight anyone, it was all she needed, so she thought. A sergeant had soon rushed to her side and grabbed her by the wrist, demanding to know what she was thinking of doing. Of-course being the person she was, it wasn't the best idea she'd had all day to begin rushing out into unknown danger, but it was for her people she cared for not herself. After a small bicker between each other, they finally agreed that Rosalee could keep watch just inside the barracks doors and keep and eye on those who wanted to enter. Rosalee wanted to help them, but her word was her law, and she wouldn't disobey what she had agreed too. Time would only tell who may greet her at the doors.
