Within the Depths of a Dream
Sirris the Exiled, once revered as the goddess of matrimony and fertility was cast down into abyss. She had been created by Urbain, brought to life as a mortal and wed to him, gaining her place beside him as a goddess before birthing two children from her womb, Voluna the eldest and of the moon, and Inrus the youngest and of the sun. From Solus the four ruled over Etaria peacefully, keeping the mortals in line by subtle and occasionally less discrete means. But things had to go sour to ruin the utopia they had, and they did in a vile manner. Inrus had grown not only power hungry but curious as well. Wondering if he could make a pact with a mortal ruler that would allow him to have a child with their princess and take some form of control. But he wanted to know if it was even possible at first, which meant deceiving his sister for their cooperation. He tried to convince Voluna yet she had already noticed an odd change in his behavior and quickly refused, which only left one other option. He brought Abysswalkers, or a group of cultists dedicated to the abyss before Sirris would be kept prisoner there, into Solus and had them prepare and ambush. It worked as intended and they did succeed in incapacitating the queen with iron chains blessed by the abyss and eventually got her to consent to carrying the child of a seemingly ungodly being.

The duration of the pregnancy was difficult not only for the distraught goddess with her own son turned against her, but having to lie to her husband with countless excuses, even having to reside in Etaria for the remaining weeks. Inrus was feeling the exact opposite, giddy with excitement similar to a young child, he had joined his mother to witness the birth, eager to see if the child had survived or if it were stillborn. It- or she rather was perfectly fine. Yet just as Sirris held the babe and gave it a name, Yuna, Inrus made a grab for it. Having prepared for this, the goddess had stunned her son before quickly leaving the building they had been inside of and rushing through the village before thrusting the crying child into the nearest woman’s arms and continuing to flee, aiming to reach Urbain once the sun rose and explain her situation. But she never got the chance as when she did return to Solus, Inrus had already conflicted Voluna’s thoughts as they both combined their strength to cast Sirris into the abyss, a story much more believable to go along with it so Urbain wouldn’t undo their decision.

To this day, Sirris has remained exiled for countless years, determined to someday see her lover once more as well as Yuna.
