Personality: Mark is a decently relaxed and stoic individual. He keeps to himself on matters he is not experienced in, but is not shy about taking control in areas he finds himself an expert in. He can be hard to work with for those who have problems with harsh words as he tends to avoid beating around the bush and is brutally honest sometimes to the point of being insulting. However he becomes harder and harder to work with as he uses more and more of his infernal power, he will become far more malicious and violent as his power usage progresses and he can theoretically be driven completely insane. That said he tends to keep this in check rather well and while he has caused severe injury to villains he has yet to ever harm a civilian or fellow hero.

Origin story: The Legacy left behind by the Nazi parties abysmal army has effects that can still be felt to this day. Marks story actually begins a few generations before he was ever born with his grandfather Nolan Wolfgang Schmidt, one of the Nazi’s most powerful and feared Possessed Supersoldiers. During the War he broke entire teams of champions, until he found himself surrounded and overcome by Three teams of seven Champions. He left behind a bloodstained legacy as the only inheritance to his wife and son, as his fall was one of the dominoes that would eventually cause the nazi party to fall. Nolan’s wife fled to America rather than live with the repercussions of her husbands actions changing her and her sons name to from Schmidt to Smith and working hard to cover her accent. She would remarry and her son Ivan would grow to be a genuine benefit to mankind eventually becoming a police officer who specialized in tracking down the Demonic Cults inspired by the Nazi’s work.

Eventually Ivan Would marry the Hero Dreamweaver after they worked together to repel a psychic infernal entity brought on by the Cult named the Sept of the Roaring Storm. Soon afterwards Mark was born, during his birth another cult known as the Rising Hell priests attempted to assassinate the family however Ivan was able to gun down the cultist before they finished their ritual to summon hellhounds. This left mark to lead a happy and healthy life for the next two and a half years until his brother was born. Due to the events at the hospital Ivan and his wife Decided to deliver their second son at home where they could be guarded by several of the superhero cohorts Dreamweaver had, Unfortunately this would prove insufficient as the cult leader himself, empowered by an arch demon possessing him made short work of the heroes and took both mark and his newborn brother.

The boys were taken to the cult where they were marked and a series of rituals were performed on them that would prepare their bodies for arch demon possession. Yet before the ritual could be completed Ivan and DarkBlade, a hero ally of Dreamweaver, managed to locate the cults hideout and in a daring move they snatched both boys from the alter and fled, Ivan holding mark, and DarkBlade holding Jeremy. Unfortunately before they could escape the cult leader managed to blast DarkBlades head clean off killing him instantly. Ivan managed to barely escape with Mark due to being ahead of the Hero as they ran, but Jeremy was left behind. After he had made it to a safe location to leave Mark Ivan returned to find Jeremy but that was the last anyone saw of the man, Mark was raised by his Grandfather from his mother’s side an ex hero named Cortex who just so happened to be uniquely qualified to deal with Mark.

As it turned out Mark inherited his Mother’s psychic powers, passed down through her bloodline to him. This would allow cortex to train him in how to manage his psychic abilities only to discover that the cult had indeed managed to partly fuse a demon into his grandson. Kharn, a Powerful Arch-Demon of Nightmares and War, Had merged its soul with Marks. In an effort to prevent the creature from consuming and gaining control of his grandson Cortex Used his Psychic power and marks own latent power to tear apart both the Demon and Marks minds, before putting them back together in a strange amalgamation of Demon and Mortal. Mark was changed by the experience, but not for the worse. He seemed more intelligent, more stable and in control of himself and his emotions. He even seemed to still possess his innocence and good hearted nature as he sought to become a superhero as a child.

Eventually at the Age of Eleven his Grandpa Cortex would Take him down his first step to becoming a hero by signing his grandson up to train in the arcane arts with the Sorcerers School operated by the magical Hero Dragon Heart. Here it was discovered that Mark’s unique hybridization with the Demon Kharn had granted him access to its immense infernal magic, fused with and slightly altered by the Psychic energy he once had. For eight years he was trained in this School, only attending during his summer, Spring, fall, and winter breaks from school. While he was not the most talented mage in the school overall, none could even come close to his natural affinity for Infernal magic, even actual demons themselves struggled to keep up with him in that regard.

Upon learning the nature of his particular brand of infernal magic Mark went on to attend college focusing on chemistry and molecular studies. While he only attended for four years and gained his bachelors, it was his only class and he was wholly devoted to it allowing him to retain and improve upon what he learned there. He spent another four years in the Global Guardians Hero Acedemy earning his certification and graduating with honors onto one of the top rated International hero teams. Unfortunately there are many suspicions about him due to the nature of his abilities and his startling demonic transformations.

Specialized skills: Infernal Magic Expert, Mage Hand Martial arts style, Bachelors Chemistry Degree.

Powers/Abilities:
Infernal Magic- Recreation: The staple of Marks powers is his ability to disassemble and reassemble atoms and molecules to change matter or energy from one state to another, shape it, And Move it by drawing power from the Massive Demonic magic pool within him. This power of recreation has been divided into Categories based on the percentage of the Demonic power being channeled to achieve the desired effects.

1-20%- at this stage mark can shape Hundreds to thousands of pounds of material, especially that which is in his own body which he often uses to strengthen his skin bones and muscles. He can forge walls, weapons, armor, and likewise disassemble such things. He cannot use this on other organic beings.

21-50%- At this stage the Physical changes required to manifest the desired levels of physical prowess begin to make mark look more demonic and evil. The Sheer amount of matter and energy able to be manipulated by mark at this stage begins to creep into the Dozens to hundreds of tons. Mark also begins to be able to absorb matter and energy into his body to add to the Physical recreations done on his own body.

51-90%- at this stage Mark begins to lose a lot of control over himself becoming far more violent and aggressive, as such he will more likely retreat than stick around and let this form begin to manifest. His body no longer resembles a humans and he will grow progressively more demonic looking as he nears the 90% marker. At this stage he can atomize and rearrange entire city blocks, drain power plants of their energy, fight with natural disaster like side effects, and Bring a difficult fight to the strongest of enemies.

91-100%- Entirely theoretical as Mark has never even gone beyond 55%. However mark and his teacher have come to the conclusion that if his power continues to scale in the same manner this form would likely be capable of recreating entire Cities and possibly even states or countries. Due to the previous forms mental destabilization it is theorized that this form may actually push mark into being a villain and countermeasures have been mapped out to deal with the potential of this form emerging.

Personality: Jeremy tends to be very aggressive and confident, sure that his knowledge and power will always be enough to assure his superiority. He has a rather short attention span and even shorter patience, seeming to run on impulse alone. Despite this Jeremy displays remarkable intelligence analyzing every aspect of his surroundings very quickly and showing both advanced tactical knowledge and a genius level intellect. He will often side with other villains for the sole purpose of having additional numbers and attempting to lure his brother to the scene with whom he has a very unstable relationship with.

Alignment: Villain
Personality: he is a very selfish and self centered individual. The only thing he cares about is how much destruction and death he can cause even if the deaths are those he is supposedly loyal too. He is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his goals from targeting innocent civilians to even be willing to sacrifice his own safety to get what he wants. The thing that makes him so dangerous is the fact that he is willing to go all out in every battle regardless of the consequences to himself. He's basically an animal let off a leash.

Origin story: not much is known about darrens early years as much of his childhood is shrouded in mystery. The history that is known about him comes when he is around the age of 7 when his superhuman abilities begin to manifest. He discovers he has super senses, super strength, enhanced speed and reflexes, and enhanced durability, he spends the next few years testing out the limits of his newfound abilities. When Darren was 11 he was in the woods and felt as if something was calling him to a sealed off cave. He punched his way through when deep inside he discovered a glowing red crystal embedded in the stone wall. The crystal appears to call to him urging him to pick it up, Darren answers the call and grips the crystal in his hand gazing deep into the swirling blood red color. Immediately he begins to have horrible visions of demons, monsters, blood, war, death, destruction etc his mind was filled with pure evil and chaos. Darren dropped to his knees screaming in agony as the crystal invaded his body and mind, as this was going on his body begin to glow and crackle as if electricity began to flow through him. Eventually it all becomes to much for his mind to handle and he breaks passing out on the floor of the cave while the crystals power finishes flowing into his body. Darren awakes some time later and stumbles his way out of the cave his mind still filled with the echoes of those terrible things the crystal showed him. He managed to make it home and when his parents questioned him about his whereabouts he grew unreasonably angry and before he knew it two beams of red energy shot from his hands disintegrating his parents. Rather than feel remorse or sad he simply looked at his hands and smiled he knew what he had to do now. He left the house and began wiping his hometown off the face of the earth killing everyone in it and leveling every building to the ground. When this was done he headed off into the world as he now felt the draw of other crystals similar to the one in the cave ones that would grow his power to levels never seen before. He spends the next bit of years scouring the earth for crystals and absorbing their power through his energy abilities, each one destroying his mind further and further. He labeled a super terrorist as each crystal he finds he levels the area and everything in it to get his hands on it. Many heros try to stop him but all Eventually fail due to his new acquired armor and his sheer power. Eventually there's one crystal left for him to find that he believes will ascend him to the level of a God and allow him to wipe all life off the planet. he reaches the land where the crystal is hidden and begins his assault leveling cities and killing thousands. Just as he reaches the area where the crystal resides he is attacked by various heros from all over the world who are trying a last ditch effort to stop his rampage. It's a valiant effort but many heros are put down or killed by Darren who by now is more like a rabid animal than a man. Sensing he may not get the crystal he abandons his plans and decides he's going to take as many out as he can before he loses. He begins to fight harder knocking more and more heros out of his way all the while gathering energy within himself that once it reaches critical mass will exterminate all life within miles. However before he can unleash his final attack a few heros launch a last ditch effort attack and manage to back Darren into a corner. Eventually somehow the heros manage to subdue him and one hero delivers the final blow that takes Darren out for good. When it's all over Darren is stripped of his armor which is locked away somewhere along with the final crystal and he is bound in special chains and restraints that do not allow him to use his abilities, he is then taken to an secret underground facility built speficially for him where he is locked in a room and left to rot under heavy guard for the rest of his life. Presently he has been locked up for about 15 years the only thing he thinks about is retrieving the last crystal.

Specialized skills: Energy Manipulation, radiation manipulation, hand to hand combat.


Powers/Abilities: Energy Manipulation. Scourge has the ability to manipulate and control most forms of energy being able to forge weapons made from energy or even creating blasts from said energy. Through this ability he can also manipulate radiation.

Gear/Special Items: He at one point possessed a suit of Armor that made him near invulnerable to harm and increased the power of his abilities but it was locked away after his capture in a location that is likely to never to be found by Mark.

Personality: Azeroth is a generally calm and quiet individual who prefers to be left alone rather than socialize with others. He has great respect for other heros and is always willing to come to other aid should they need it.

Specialized skills: proficient at hand to hand combat, proficient with a staff, mastery of fire.

Powers/Abilities: elemental mastery of fire and some mastery of lightning. Azeroth is a master of fire to the point where some have claimed he is a fire God (though these claims have not been substantiated). He can use fire any way he desires from something as small as lighting a candle to something big as producing something akin to a nuclear blast. He can conjure weapons and armor made from fire and He can even control hellfire. Through his mastery of fire Azeroth has learned to conjure and somewhat control lightening. He has a weakness to extreme cold and if he's not careful it can injure him and even kill him.

Gear/Special Items: Staff of Inferno: Azeroth possesses a magical staff that he can use to channel his abilities into.
He wears a special mask at all times that prevents his mind from being controlled or read by those with telekinetic abilities.

Personality: During his time with hero work, Nomad prefers to come across as the silent type, preferring his work to speak for itself and allow others time in the spotlight. However, when simply interacting with the public or his teammates, he does his best to come across as a friendly and warm sort. He tries to be as supportive as he is able and understanding as possible to most situations. He treats his fellow heroes with respect and treats villains with disdain but with a sense of decorum. After all, if he stoops to their level, he'd be no better than them.

Origin story: The story of Yates becoming who he is starts parallel to the origin of super beings themselves. His great-grand father, Nigel, was a British soldier fighting in world war one where he eventually met Charles' great-grandmother, an American nurse that come with the surge of personnel that followed Patriot Supreme. After a whirlwind romance, they eventually made their way back to the United States and settled in Montana. The arrival of the world war two lead to Nigel's only son, James, wanting to join the army, but he was warned off of that by Nigel's insistence to instead take the role of Nomad with his old world war combat uniform. The story went that Nigel's family was heavily involved in the druidic arts and that when the time came for Nigel to serve in world war one, he received a great many blessings of safety and stealth to be protected. Nigel claimed that he managed to survive when no one else did because of those magical enchantments. This soon proved to be correct when Charles grandfather, Nigel's son, was tested by the US military for enhanced properties using the suit which turned out to be real. So the tale of Nomad in the second world war was written: a shadow of a ghost that stalked the broken places of the battlefield, both rescuing the fallen and causing those that deserved it to vanish. Thus we come to the modern day. The previous Nomad has determined that Charles is ready to take on the mantle and to serve the dominant power of the day, the Global Government, as a member of the Global Guardians.

Specialized skills: Stealth and tracking techniques, knowledge of occult matters and world history, mastery of firearms and unarmed combat, years of military training from family.

Gear/Special Items: Magically enhanced battle suit. Nigh indestructibility, heightened reflexes and senses, immunity against most aerosol/airborne effects such as gas or smoke, ability to move in total silence and to blend into one's surroundings to become very difficult to spot, but not completely invisible. Customized handgun, trench knife, flashbang grenades, flashlight with blacklight function, special compass that always points toward 'home' instead of magnetic north; magically enhanced to be non-manipulable.

Special Relationships: Allies: Friendly rivalry with Chang Liu, friendship with Chau Liu. Grandfather James, family and advisor on use of Nomad suit.

Personality: As Dr. Blücher, Ricard puts his best foot forward socially with all the grace that someone raised in etiquette can. He can be empathetic, cordial, direct, persuasive, or any other manner that can be used to lay on charm and create a sense of trust. As the Id, he is prodding and surgical as he tries to cut into the heart of any matter. In this he will be cold and calculating, detached from others. Any kind of attempt to deride or insult him will have little affect.

Origin story: Richard is a descendant of an old Austrian line of nobility. Though they are publicly known for their neutrality, and the denial of anything to with the German government during the second world war, there have always been rumors that permeate around the family about their more hidden activities. Richard himself has continued this tradition by becoming a doctor in psychology with a specialty in the psychology of super powered beings. He has always stated that his aim to is to better the Global Guardians so that they may better support the world, however there are more than a few that have suggested his experiments and work have not always been 'ethical' or even safe for those he is treating. This of course is to hide his true aims, which can only be guessed at, when he manifests himself as Id.

Specialized skills: Credited doctor of psychiatry and psychology, occultist, numerous connections in global government

Powers/Abilities: Illusionist - the ability to make others see, hear, feel, or smell, things that are not actually there with high sense of reality. All illusions are non-material and can be broken through enough mental fortitude or physical destruction of the environment the illusion is housed in. He can use infrasound to disorient and confuse his foes. He also studies magical rituals to try and use them to his own advantage.

Gear/Special Items: Cane - family heirloom made of highly resistant material that is said to contain an ancient secret. He uses it as a defensive weapon when he carries it, but it is highly recognizable.

Personality: Apexman is an optimistic and moral person, choosing to always bring a fight to a nonviolent end if possible. He’s a friend to the world, a stunning specimen of humanoid life.

Origin story: The origin of Apexius is a strange one. A machine fell to Earth from the sky and landed in the northwest. The government found it a day later, with a naked man sitting in front of it. From what the agents could understand, apparently the pod was some sort of evolutionary machine, creating the perfect specimen of the dominant lifeform of the planet that interacted with it. Someone had touched the pod and it had repurposed them into Apexius. He was given an Earth name, Markus Meers, by the government.

Specialized skills: As his nature is to be the Apex of the human species, he has considerably more intuitive aptitude for learning and adaptability.

Powers/Abilities: Enhanced strength, enhanced speed, nigh impenetrable skin, flight, enhanced healing

Gear/Special Items: Supersuit that is fire proof, insulated for extreme temperatures, bulletproof and aerodynamic

Special Relationships: Apexius has no family, but he makes friends with nearly everyone he meets, outside of the enemies of truth and justice.

Personality: Colby is an energetic surfer that spends more time than not in the water. His good natured self, family friendly attitude, and 'surf academy' have made him popular among the locals. Each summer Colby holds a friendly surfing contest with proceeds going to local charities in the area to help kids. He is not camera shy by any stretch, however, Colby would rather the focus be on the end result rather than himself. Due to his public image and work with kids, Colby has typically worked along side of the coast guard and local law enforcement always in a non-lethal capacity.

Origin story: Colby grew up just another normal kid, always drawn to water. In high school he was captain of the swim team and set multiple school and state records. In his senior year of high school several new kids moved to town and they began harassing other students for apparently no reason. One afternoon as Colby was getting ready for swim practice he emerged from the locker room to see the three bullies holding another student underwater while laughing. Fearing for the drowning student, Colby did the only thing he could and rushed the bullies. He knocked them down like a bowling ball colliding with pins. It was more than enough for the drowning student to escape. Colby got to his feet and watched as the student made it out of the pool and ran off. It was only an instant before the three bullies grabbed him and decided that he would be next. The two holding him turned him upside down as they each held an arm and now an ankle. Just before they dipped Colby into the pool by his feet, the leader of the bullies bent over and smiled before standing and delivering a fierce kick to Colby's sternum. Pain shot through him like never before and it was at that moment that the two holding him lowered him into the water, slowly, as if to torture his mind as well as his body. Not being able to take a breath before going under due to the pain in his ribs, it was clear to Colby that he didn't have long. He could hear them laughing as they held him under. Just as he was about to slip from consciousness, Colby felt something inside of him, it wasn't the pain, it was something more intense, more powerful. His eyes opened and gleamed as blue as the Caribbean waters and suddenly the bullies holding him panicked as Colby seemingly burst like a water balloon. They were left soaked in water as Colby was no where to be seen and the pool was calm. Suddenly a wave began to build from the far end of the pool. The awestruck bullies didn't dare move as they had no idea what was going on - indoor pools don't generate waves... Colby's vision was crystal clear and to him it felt like he was just swimming, not realizing that he had become a massive wave standing almost 8ft tall and the entire width of the pool. He could see the bullies standing there, unsure of what to think or do. Colby began moving faster through the water and just as he was about to 'tackle' the bullies, he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror on the wall at the end of the pool. He saw a massive wave, no sign of himself anywhere, like it was something straight out of the ocean on a rough day. Fearful of what he had just seen, the wave instantly disappeared and the water was calm again. Colby felt himself sitting on the bottom of the pool huddled in the corner, unsure of what to do. The bullies were a sight to see as all three had clearly wet themselves. It was at this time that security arrived and took the bullies away. There was still no sign of Colby and so additional security was sent scouring the grounds to find him. Colby waited until everyone had seemingly gone before he emerged from the pool. He was still trying to figure out what happened to him and why. It didn't take long for him to realize that he could "breathe" underwater and in the hours he was at the bottom of the pool he discovered that not only could he become invisible in the water, he could also manipulate the water around him...

Backstory:
Ayla was adopted by Officers Lisa and Harold Blackburn at the tender age of two. Abandoned in what was known as an 'Angel Box' outside of a fire station, there is no information regarding her lineage or origin of birth.

Lisa and Harold were not perfect, but they were close enough that Ayla never had to want for anything. She was brought up in a typical American home, nestled in a quiet town within the Rocky Mountains. Her powers came as a surprise, but her parents loved and accepted her, choosing to hide her abilities so that she could have a 'normal' childhood.

Raised in a police household, she was taught to value justice and helping others above all else. So, naturally, she idolized heroes. She even had a blanket and a matching sheet set of the Patriot Supreme.

However, all of that changed one fateful night.

Driving home from ballet practice, her parents received an urgent call for assistance at a local bank. There was a hostage situation and the small town needed all hands on deck.

Arriving on scene, they directed her to remain in the car while they suited up and talked to their superiors. As luck would have it, a few young superheroes arrived on scene to assist the small task force. Excited to finally get a chance to watch superheroes in action, Ayla snuck out of the car and eavesdropped in on their conversations.

The plan was simple. The police would go in first to distract the criminals while the superheroes would follow behind using a back entrance to the bank and catch the bad guys unawares.

Everything went according to plan until the police filtered in and ran into a trap. Gunfire exploded from inside and numerous cries for help sounded over the police chief's radio. The superheroes were in seconds later and all went quiet. Then, in the eeriness of the night, metal hinges creaked and the heavy wooden door of the bank was pulled opened, revealing everyone aside from Officers Harold and Lisa.

Later it was learned that they both were in the frontline and shot and killed upon entry. Or at least that was what they claimed. However, a small girl peeking behind a police car watched a damning exchange between the so-called superhero and the police chief where the chief discretely shook the super's hand as he thanked him for his assistance in getting rid of 'office rats' and handed in a sizable wad of cash.

That day, she learned there's no such thing as 'heroes' and no one can be trusted.


Personality:
An extrovert by nature, Ayla is generally upbeat and fun to be around. She is also laid-back and easy going, but all of this can change at the drop of a hat if triggered.

In which case, no one can hope to calm or reason with her.

This is the only time someone might guess that she's a villain. Otherwise, she's kind and thoughtful, albeit a bit of an adrenaline junkie with a love of beach volleyball and basketball.

Despite the good qualities, make no mistake Ayla will burn the world down if it means the heroes die with it. There's nothing more valuable to her than vengeance. But eradicating the world of superheroes is not her ultimate goal. She'd prefer if they were stripped of all self-righteousness and exposed for the world to see the truth: that underneath all the power, they're just as human and prone to evil as the rest of the world. It is Ayla's goal to humiliate superheroes and see the nations hate them instead of idolizing them as she once had.

That being said, her acts of villainy are merely ploys to drive the heroes out into the open. Unless they're superhero sympathisers, she has no ill-intentions toward innocents- not that she won't sacrifice a few for the 'greater good' but she'd prefer not to.

Prone to spouts of guilt over the destruction she's caused in the past, Ayla will withdraw from people and vanish for days only to show back up as if nothing had ever happen. Her emotional instability repels relationships, but she has many acquaintances and finds socializing easy.

Skills:
Photogenic memory. Is able to recall long formulas or lengthy segments of reading materials with ease.

Power/Abilities:
Umbrakinesis, the ability to manipulate darkness. While umbrakinesis is her greatest weapon, she is also has a hypersensitivity to sound and sight.

Though not supernaturally obtained, Ayla is trained in martial arts and is notably agile.
