Huh, why'd I stop getting notifications for this? Anyway I'm still lurking, working on some khodai lore whilst I wait for everyone to finish going on the hunt for that bounty. I'd quite like to add other communal areas into the colony that aren't just the bar, since it wouldn't make sense for everyone to always be in the saloon glaring at each other...but I can't think of any places that'd match the western theme.

Uninhabited lot basically that hasn't been used for anything. Just used occasionally for private events/meetings until it's converted into something else.

Also I wrote the initial warehouse where Lucy met Finch to be in the Colony, that was before I realized how small Eden was - so that can be ret conned to be a fair distance away or another colony entirely.

Eeeh, it's not.... wholesome enough, if that makes sense! I want somewhere for people to communicate without brooding over a drink and a cigar, you get me? Also as for khodai lore I'm giving it a break because I'm hitting a brick wall. I'd need to RP it out. Me and defenestrator have our collab ready to go up until we enter the colony, it's just that we wouldn't just bring Rist into a bar.

How about some sort of simple community hall - used for day-to-day stuff? They'd be a cafeteria there run by the gov, or something. Peeps gotta eat.

I looove the cafeteria idea. Everyone gets a government issued meal if they bring their ID, and you can buy cakes and drinks that aren't water with credits.

Yeah, I getchu. I'm fully supportive of the cafeteria idea, have at it. I was about to suggest a welcme center-type deal, with a receptionist, pamphlets, what have you. For newcomers.
Also, don't worry about the Khodai lore. I get you need a break. I think we have enough to where we can start out with our characters. Religion can remain ambiguous for now; we can develop it later.
