Interest Group | Main Gameplay Thread | Character Factory | Chat Club

Welcome to The Frontier: A Space Western Character Factory, where you'll create your own space cowboy to bring justice to the deserts of Mars. Here are some helpful pointers before you get started.

HELPFUL POINTERS
1.) There is no cap on how many characters you can create, but if you're just starting out, the cap is two. The cap will be lifted once you make your first in-game post.
2.) The limit on guns is three.
3.) Even in a world full of aliens and advanced technology, logic still applies. I can't stress this enough.

With those out of the way, let's get into the character sheet.

Race: (There are three races to choose from: Human, Robot, and Khodai, Mars' native alien population.)

Appearance: (You can either post a picture, or provide a written description. A picture/description of your character's armor is necessary; a picture/description of what's under the armor is not.)
Role: (What part does your character play in the world? Are they a gunslinger, a lone wolf, a bandit, a bartender?)
Personality: (Here's where things get a little more involved. What is your character like? Are they rough and tough, or kind and gentle? This section will be subjected to intense scrutiny, so be careful.)
Alignment: (Is your character good, neutral, or evil? Be warned; if your character is a Khodai and you choose to be good, you'd better do your damnedest to endear yourself to the Earthlings.)
Guns: (Everyone needs a gun in the west, and here is no different. What weapons does your character tote?)

You may notice that there's no history section on the character sheet. That's so you can flesh your character's history out more in the game proper. After all, it's more fun to drip-feed bits and pieces of a character's backstory than just dumping it all at once.

Personality: Levi is a man of mystery. He isn't tied down to any one colony, as befitting a Yeoman, but at the same time, he seems rather more eager to finish his business and move on to the next colony than seems natural. He is very quiet, rarely getting deeply involved in conversation, and when he does, it's obvious that he has information that he doesn't want to divulge. He has few friends, if any, and prefers to distance himself from potential company. Antisocial behavior aside, Levi is dependable and efficient, never, ever leaving any job half done. Because the last time he did, it was a disaster.

Role: He stars as The Handsome Stranger character in the biggest Western Action movies of all time such as Bullets Don't Argue, The Handsome Stranger Kills Them All, Hey Amigo! A Toast To Your Death, and Wanted: For Being Handsome and Equally Dangerous. Oh that's not what you meant by role. Gunslinger.
Personality: Zack Hall is a man of luxury. Nothing but the best for him and he won't settle for less as he is a custom too as a big star. There are many that consider him arrogant and conceited, but he calls it knowing you're the most beautiful person in the room wherever you go.
Alignment: Good(the hero wherever he goes)

Appearance: Erica's armor is a reinforced spacesuit, customized by Jenna to have external chargers for Bouncer and Storm.

Role: Bar owner
Personality: Erica is a kind woman who enjoys making people happy. That being said, she has little tolerance for people who don't care for others and isn't afraid to lay down the law when customers are getting rowdy. She's also incredibly protective of her sister, and people who have tried to cheat Jenna have found themselves with a bounty if they leave town, or a gun to their head if they don't.

  • Bouncer: while resembling a double barreled shotgun, it's pretty much a giant tazer. 2 shots before batteries need to be replaced. Strong enough to knock down a person or short out a robot for several minutes. Only used once on a Khodi, though it did work.
  • JC Storm: a custom laser revolver made by her sister, Jenna. Shoots energy bolts with variable power, ranging from numbing blasts to full powered kill shots. Holds six batteries, with each battery able to hold enough power for a single full power shot. Contains a built in triboelectric generator, allowing the cycling cylinder and hammer to charge depleted batteries. At low power, enables almost unlimited shots; medium power, triples shot capacity; high power, does not recharge enough energy for another full powered shot, though the Storm's cylinder can be manually spun to recharge shots.
Equipment:
  • Triboelectric shorts: a pair of Jenna's custom shorts, enables a wearer's walking to charge devices plugged into the clothing. Erica has them connected to her charging belt.
  • Charging Belt: a belt designed to charge spent batteries for use in energy weapons. Can store and charge twelve charges (Erica currently has six Bouncer batteries and six Storm batteries connected). The attached holster for Storm also enables the batteries in the weapon to charge as well.
  • The Crew: a swarm of small hoverbots that assist Erica with running the bar. They can cook, clean, pour drinks, and serve tables. There are currently six: Botsy, Robecca, Annadroid, Maychine, Engina, and Tina Candice.
Other: Erica is the owner of the Touch of Home bar and hotel. It's a medium sized building, with twelve tables, a bar that can seat eight or so people, and two stories above with six rooms per floor. Attached to the Touch of Home is Jenna's Gear and Robot Repair. Patrons of Jenna's shop can get a discount in the Touch of Home.

Appearance: Jenna's armor is a reinforced spacesuit with an external charger for Storm II. It also has a prototype shielding device, though its effectiveness has not been tested.

Role: Mechanic, custom weapon maker
Personality: Jenna is a straight and to the point type of talker. Small talk is a waste of time; tell her what you need or go bother her sister next door. When talking business, she asks what's necessary then expects her customers to leave her alone while working. Despite her unsociable way of talking to others, she has a sense of humor. She isn't heartless either, willing to repair severely damaged robots without pay if it would prevent them from a permanent shutdown.

  • JC Zapper: a short range tazer that fits in the palm of your hand. Single battery, can zap someone twice before needing to reload.

  • Triboelectric shorts: a pair of Jenna's custom shorts, enables a wearer's walking to charge devices plugged into the clothing. Jenna has them connected to her charging belt.
  • Charging Belt: a belt designed to charge spent batteries for use in energy weapons. Can store and charge twelve charges (Jenna currently has eleven Storm batteries connected and a single Zapper battery).
Other: Owner of Jenna's Gear and Robot repair, where people can get their gear repaired, robots can get fixed up, and Jenna sells her own custom firearms and accessories. An expert in the use and repair of electronics, mechanics, and computers. Also her hair is not naturally green, it's just dyed.

Role: A professional gambler, con artist and amateur part time Yeoman.

Personality: Obsessed with fame and fortune, Lucy Valentine has spent much of her life chasing a high-class lifestyle. Blessed with incredible beauty and a lucky streak that's gotten her out of numerous problems, Lucy spends most of her evenings either seducing weak-minded men in hopes of getting some easy cash, or working over casinos and gambling establishments- making as much money as possible before inevitably being thrown out onto the streets. She tends to be overly affectionate and play up her need for protection - but can quickly reveal a rather snarky and sarcastic demeanor towards those she deems not worth her time. She enjoys being the center of attention and takes being ignored as a personal insult.

Lucy is also a terrible flirt, and greatly enjoys dirty talk and lewd jokes - though she rarely seems willing to act upon her words. Despite her rather airheaded nature, Lucy has an impressive interlect - She likes to horde information, and always seems to know a bit more than what she's willing to share.

Despite her rather selfish and materialistic personality, Lucy can actually be rather kind and considerate to those she genuinely likes - though she will often fend this off as simply getting close to a mark. She's also remarkably competent in a combat role, despite never displaying any special interest or known history with it. Lucy prefers to use her brains and... "assets" over her guns. More of an intelligence officer, rather than a front line grunt.

Lucy is a part time Yeoman through and through, only taking interest in the role as a hobby and picking specific targets that catch her eye. Even then, it's rarely about the reward and more about the adventure.

Alignment: Neutral, but in her own words "Not above doing a dirty job for a dollar"

Guns: (Gun and Armor pictured above) Lucy's main weapon is called "Pillow Talk" It is military standard assault rifle that has been heavily modified into a lighter build without having lost any of its fire power. The modifications are incredibly complex - Lucy happily tells those who inquire after her weapon that an ex-boyfriend helped her make it, but it's more likely she brought it off the black market.

Lucy also owns a standard issue pistol. Fairly effective against fleshy targets, with a standard 20 bullet clip which she usually favors thanks to its portability and disposable nature.

Equipment:
1) An odd sonic device that Lucy can use to unlock most doors and safes of an unknown design and origin. She's always unwilling to let others look at it. Might have other functions.
2) A pair of dice and a standard pack of 52 playing cards.
3) FOX XI class Body Armor - a high quality branded piece of full body armor, with several customizations that have prioritized speed and flexibility over heavy protection.

Other:
Lucy doesn't seem to own an actual house - preferring to book month long stays at various bars and hotels.

She's usually hung over in the morning - she has an inhumane alcohol tolerance.

Although Lucy enjoys Bounty Hunting as a hobby, she really doesn't like hands on violence. She can't stand the sight of blood.

Unsurprisingly, Lucy is an exceptional gambler. Do not engage Lucy in any games of chance before considering what you might lose.

Lucy suffers from frequent, chronic headaches.

Name: Nikolai Loskov
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 26
Lone Wolf -- Bounty Hunter -- Sharpshooter -- Neutral/Evil
Personality: As pragmatic and detached as one can get, Nikolai Koslov is a bounty hunter with a deadly aim that only goes after targets which offer the highest reward, with him deeming anything less as a waste of his time. With him travelling from town to town, seeking a bigger challenge to face, Nikolai had found little use in an ally of any kind, leading to him being quite the loner. He tends to have an attitude which is described as arrogant, cynical, stubborn and bold by the few people who interacted with him. Basically, he's a fucking asshole. Nikolai is very calculating, making sure that he has all available information before going into to complete a mission. And once he sets his sights on a goal, he will go through any length to complete it, doing so with utmost ruthlessness. This does often lead to him being tunnel-visioned on a single goal. His stubborn attitude makes it very difficult for someone to change his mind. He will try to choose the most beneficial outcome for himself in all situations. Nikolai also has lots of trust issues, with a very few knowing his real name.



Guns:

His sniper rifle. The weapon has a huge caliber and operates using a cylinder with a capacity of 5 bullets. The barrel has been outfitted with a scope that provides a generous zoom which allows for the right user to pick off targets at an impressive distance. Naturally, the weapon gives off quite the loud noise and is very difficult to reload. Luckily, most targets need only one bullet. And if the bullets are for some reason not powerful enough, Nikolai can simply customize them to give them more incendiary capabilities.

Nightfall:
His revolver. This is Nikolai's emergency sidearm that he relies on to get him out of most sticky situations. It is massive in size and like his sniper rifle, it only holds 5 rounds. However, a carefully placed shot can bring most people down due to the raw power of the weapon. Nikolai's deadly aim means that he won't be missing too often.

His silenced Sub-Machine Gun:
This weapon is his go to for silent jobs that require him sneaking into places. The weapon's silenced barrel allows him to shoot without alerting everyone. It has a decent fire rate and a good magazine capacity. With the bullets' caliber being quite small, it usually takes multiple shots to take people down. He also uses this weapon to give himself suppressive fire if he has to escape.

Equipment:
It is a laser blade around 30 cms (12 inches) long. The laser edge allows him to cut through hard materials. It can also be switched to a tase mode if he is fighting against a human opponent where it will shock the target upon contact with their body, frying most robotics attached and paralysing any human target. He has to not be in contact with the target any other way that can conduct electricity for him to not get shocked himself. Naturally, the weapon is battery operated and if it is out of charge or is turned off, it functions as a normal blade. In his experience, the blade is more useful as a tool for breaking in than actual fighting. But that does not mean he doesn't know how to use it.

Aliases: "Doc", "That weird droid that owns the clinic", "Tee-Five"
Gender: Waltz's personality matrix is male
Race: Robot (Reprogrammed Surgical Droid)
Age: Approximately 12
Appearance: He still wears the same old, worn-down cowboy hat that he had walked into town with, and a poncho when he goes out to keep the Martian dust from getting in his servos. Beneath his hat is the scratched up metallic plate equivalent to a face, with multiple sensors glowing bright blue that some people would call eyes. His chassis is built much like a human body is, albeit with extremely delicate fingers meant to steady a scalpel, or a gun.

Role: Doctor and barber, though he's also worryingly precise with a gun.
Personality: As the only "person" in town with any kind of proper medical knowledge, Waltz has taken it upon himself to keep the squishy humans of this town alive out of the kindness of his "heart". He also stayed partly because nowhere else would accept having a potentially dangerous AI running loose, but mostly out of kindness. Unlike other regular robots, whoever reprogrammed Waltz had seen fit to also add in a personality matrix while they were at it, though the robotic doctor himself suspects it was less deliberate and more as an unintended consequence of unshackling his AI. Also unlike other medical droids, his "creator" had also removed his "Do no harm" limitation, suggesting a probably nefarious purpose to his reprogramming and past - a past which has since been deleted from his memory banks. He has no time to chase it though, not with the rate at which these humans injure themselves around here. Mechanically precise and reliable, just lacking in bedside manners and outwardly disdainful towards all those who acts illogically, he's the only doctor/barber you'll ever need.
Alignment: Good
Guns:
  • MarSec SN-5: A human manufactured Gauss-shotgun that carries 8 shots per magazine. Each "shot" is a collection of ferromagnetic shrapnel designed to make anyone on the other end of the barrel rethink their life choices.
  • S&W Model 1112 Special: Another magnetic slug thrower chambered like a revolver with 7 rounds per reload. Short, stubby, concealable, but gets the job done.
Equipment:
  • Portable Medkit: Containing everything a frontier robot doctor would need to save a life while on the move.
  • Maintenance Kit: A set of fold-able mechanical tools built into slots on his back. Mostly just lightweight maintenance tools. He's fixing everyone else, but someone's gotta fix him.
Other:
  • Owner of The Clinic. It's a nice cozy shack filled with medical equipment and a mish-mash of souvenirs Waltz has found interesting and collected over the years. A charging station is fitted in the backroom. The place hasn't really got a name. That's just what people call it.
  • He just rolled into town one day from the desert without any memories and decided to set up shop. No-one's bothered to kick him out then, and now it's too awkward to do it.
  • His "eyes" lights up when he talks.
  • Speaks in a stereotypical British accent normally, though profanities are often crackled and distorted, as if taken from another voice synthesizer

Role: "I keep the law, even if that means I must kill bandits, even where they live." Guards town, kills bandits, and, when able, employs bounty hunters.

Personality: LES, despite not having much of a proper name, has more personality than one would expect. It is aggressively Agender and has been known to ignore people who attempt to call it him/her, and will treat bandits with a special amount of cruelty when possible, should they make such a mistake. LES also exhibits extreme hatred of bandits, highwaymen, and murderers. This hatred does not include bounty hunters, however, so long as those hunters respect the law in it's town. LES is slow to trust, and typically treats civilians with either indifference, coarseness, or, if they are exceptionally pitiful, an obligatory sense of protectiveness.
Alignment: Neutral (leaning towards good but not quite there.)

Equipment: Multiple magazines for each weapon, Serrated machete, multiple repair kits with missing pieces or damaged ones, and even a few (2) with all new parts! Power cells for itself (about 5, each last about a day so L can last about 5 days at a time without charging a cell, if that ever becomes necessary.)
Other: LES lives in a small bunker-like shack, near the jail of the town he lives in.
Occasionally, LES also operates the jail.

Role: Lawman, Investigator
Personality: Atticus is calm and cool-headed to the point of being almost (but not quite) frosty. He's not as completely devoid of emotion as he tries to be and, after warming up to those around him, has a mild sense of humor. He has a very fierce sense of right and wrong and can be somewhat old fashioned. He considers himself to be a pragmatist, and likes to think that his emotions don't enter into his decisions. This is a standard that he doesn't always hold himself to, and he knows it. However, while he does feel emotions, they are deep below the surface of an icy exterior and a defensive barrage of dry jokes. He values self-improvement above all else, and is constantly on the search for new skills to add to his "tool box". It should also be noted that he drinks like a fish whenever he can find an excuse to.

Affectionately named "Molly" his 6-shot revolver is a sturdy classic that can load a plethora of different ammunition. Atticus typically loads hollow points, incendiaries, and dense armor-piercing rounds for our mechanical friends. He also carries a small reserve of mild explosive rounds, but rarely uses them because they're too damned expensive. Moreover, he's a pretty excellent and fast shot at medium range.

"I think I'm incapable of dying" said Quinn between sharp breaths with a groan to punctuate, his tone half disappointed, half self impressed.

Quinn is a hateful, cynical, and amoral drunk bastard whose life revolves around instant gratification, intoxication of varied kinds, meaningless and purchased sexual encounters punctuated with acts of extreme violence and public endangerment. He is a raging nihilist, without knowing what nihilism is, and takes nothing seriously, nor does he care for anything, even his own safety. Despite the reckless, often insane disregard for his own safety that he displays, Quinn has yet to die. Through sheer luck, divine intervention, durability and whiskey fueled pain tolerance, Quinn has survived the best efforts of hundreds of trained combatants, debt collectors, lawmen, henchmen, big bosses, little bosses, robots, martians and the oft pocket dog i.e Chihuahua/Irish terrier.

This man really, really..... really doesn't care. To many this appears as evil, and in practice Quinn certainly commits evil acts, but the intention is not to torment, tear down, or destroy others. The only intent that guides Mr. Turner is a drum beat, marching our vagrant friend to the nearest bar with a back table to gamble what little he has at any given moment. Of course to pay for the liquid fuel found at these bars and buy into the back table games he is so fond of, money is needed, which is where the nihilism part of our amigo Quinn kicks in. See, for someone who doesn't care about anything, something like the sanctity of life, the willingness to do the right thing, taking the high road etc. means nothing, which is why he has gravitated to lows unmentionable in the name of profit, garnering the wrath of the underworld and overworld alike.

He cares not for fashion, looking good, having the premium or creme de la creme. That's obvious if you look at the man in or out of battle gear. His weapons harbor rust and hail from a lost age, and his armor/pressure suit is patchwork and amateur, built as much on the road as in the factory.

Quinn is disrespectful, dirty, foul mouthed, uneducated, crude, dead eyed, spits on the rules and ruthless. If we are being honest, this guy is just a terrible human being from start to finish, which is why it's going to be fun writing him!

Alignment: Chaotic Evil, will work with anyone against anyone, depending on self interest.

Automatic rifle. Armor piercing rounds & explosive rounds are used by Quinn with this weapon. Rate of fire is 750 rounds per minute.

Shotgun inside prosthetic arm. Can fire at a rate similar to a pump shotgun. Deploys from the arm in 2.5 seconds. Fires a 12 gauge shell/slug depending on what Quinn loads into the weapon. It can fire 10 rounds before requiring a reload.

Equipment: A short curved blade similar to a machete. Two knives located on his boot and hip. Cybernetic left arm. Some medical gear (first aid). Bullet proof armor when geared up. bullet proof vest at all times. His cybernetic arm is also outfitted with a torch that Quinn can use to cut through metal, generally it's used to bust into places.

Other - IMPORTANT: The cybernetic left arm was stolen from the corpse of a robot that Quinn decommissioned. Unknown to Quinn at the time, the arm contained a node of memory banks containing backup files of the dead AI. After tweaking with the tech for some time, Quinn accidentally activated the AI within. Serving as a comedic foil to Quinn, the AI, named Joey, is bubbly, naive, and overly friendly yet surprisingly sadistic as it contains both the friendly programming of a public security robot, but also combat scripts containing cruelty and violent intent. The arm has speech ability and will at times help Quinn think through issues, narrate sarcastically, nag, disparage, condone or tease Quinn. The arm also has a tendency to taunt opponents during fights and can sometimes reject the inputs of Quinn if the vagrant and his cybernetic friend get into a heated disagreement.

Freddy’s attire seems to be built for offense instead of defense. There being no actual armored pads or tech to speak of besides his guns. Underneath his jacket is a dark red shirt with the label “King’s Mining Company.” Freddy’s actual face is a light brown, facial hair growing around his mug and dreads covering most of the top, his eyes being blue though mostly coming off like ice. While young, his face is warn and tired though the reason isn’t known. His build is slim and athletic.

Personality: King can be described as a naturally curious man. Someone who sees the world as one giant discovery that someone must record. However, his curiosity doesn’t seem to make him a naturally good person. He’s a rather intrusive fellow, and will pick fights if he deems it worthy enough. King has a tongue of silver, having a way of getting out of tight bounds, though...it can lead him to overthink situations or his opponents, creating assumptions by gut feelings. Though, he does seem to care about one thing, employers. If hired, he will protect the person with his life, loyalty being a top priority in his eyes. In a world of deceit and harshness, it’s good to have a couple more sets of guns.

Personality: Not a bad person, but most of his friends are, Rothe is a good guy who somehow often finds himself on the wrong side of the law. A member of a rapidly growing drug trafficking ring, Rothe thinks that people have the right to do whatever they want to themselves, be it harmful or beneficial, though he'd prefer beneficial. Rothe is all for adventure but cautious about how he goes about it, he likes to be prepared as he knows plans often go awry and there are variables to try and account for in everything. Born in space, Rothe has been many places and seen a lot, but not aliens, so hes pretty intent on meeting one eventually. Rothe is a practical, reasonable guy but he can be a bit paranoid as things seem to go awry for him a lot, not necessarily badly, but not the way hed prefer and often traumatizing. In short Rothe is a reasonable good guy who finds himself in bad situations a lot with a lot of bad people, though he gets himself out of these situations, not necessarily unscathed but at least not in a body bag. Hes survived a lot so he does have a decent amount of confidence in himself, not others though, which is why he likes to help out a lot, so that he can make sure things are done right and with the least cost to him and those he considers his friends.

Personality:
 Snarky and perhaps a bit too willful for her own good, Gwen is a hired gun with a serious hard-on for vengeance. She rarely shows her true emotions, relying instead on the many masks that she has adopted over the years. Despite being a mercenary of sorts, if the job violates any of her own personal rules then she will refuse it. She is brash at times, very observant of her surroundings, and can react to new occurrences almost instantly. She can deal with arrogant people and such, albeit with a dry sarcasm that borders on actual aggression. When it comes down to it, she always puts herself first and is willing to go to any lengths to accomplish her one true goal in life.

Name: Tracker-Devil Susin Rist-Har

Appearance: Rist-Har’s armour was confiscated when he was captured, and sold on the black market. What you see is basically what you get; he was allowed an oversized human shirt with arm holes cut out for his limbs, and a pair of trousers cut at the knee. He stands at around 6’4, with a thick neck, chitinous plating, and clawed extremities. Around his neck is a heavy metal band of machinery.

Role: Captive

Personality: A fairly quiet individual, Rist-Har prefers the company of a few trusted friends over a large group of people. He’s a family orientated man, good with kids, with a great deal of trust and closeness to his clan. He errs on the serious side but isn’t afraid to crack a joke or two to lighten the mood. A protective spirit, it is clear from his current situation that Rist-Har is more than happy to take the fall for those he trusts…

But he trusts no-one in this colony.

Now that he is under lock and key, Rist-Har has become more standoffish than ever. Frustrated at the complexity of the language barrier, Rist-Har goes about his day in reluctant obedience and a great deal of boredom. He feigns a lack of understanding when he doesn’t want to talk to people, and the only one he talks to on a regular basis is his parole officer. He tends to treat civilians in a more agreeable manner than he treats anyone openly wielding a weapon - and he’s still good with kids.

Alignment: Lawful Good - Even towards his captors, Rist-Har shows a general sense of respect and mutual understanding. He knows he lost the fight, and he knows that the people who did this to him were not representative of the whole, so he doesn’t treat humans with open hostility.

Guns: Rist-Har is certainly not allowed a gun unless he is being used in a dangerous mission, at which point he is allowed two standard militia pistols to wield.


Equipment:
The Collar: Set to lethal electrocution if Rist-Har leaves the borders of the Eden Colony and remotely activated at varying degrees of intensity and duration depending on whether or not Rist-Har wants to co-operate. Any attempt to remove it without permission is heavily punished. There are two remotes; one that his parole officer carries, and another in an undisclosed location. Both are required to completely turn off and remove the collar.

Stun Baton: At the very least, Rist-Har’s weapon was kept locked up instead of sold outright. A longstaff with some sort of voltage-inducing device on the end of it, it looks like an elongated cattle prod with a sharp point on its hilt to skewer through even the toughest of chitin.

Other: Knows limited English.
Attacking Rist-Har is the equivalent of damaging state-owned property. A fine must be paid towards his medical bills. In the paperwork, he is considered valuable research material.
He has been held prisoner for three weeks now, out of sight from the colony where they ran assessments to test his restraints and ensure that he wouldn’t be a threat in the town.
 
Name: Merchant-Underling Olada Tovyr-Dah
Aliases: "The Peddler", Tovyr-Dah, Tovyr

Age: 42
Appearance: This armor, under the helmet
Role: Traveling merchant
Personality: Tovyr-Dah exudes the air of a Khodai who's simply weary of the world. She dislikes the harassment she gets as a merchant for charging seemingly outrageous prices for her goods, or for being a female in a traditionally male's role. She especially dislikes the petty squabbles that the clans of her race are constantly getting into, seeing them as a complete waste of time that could be spent on actually productive endeavors. Like studying these newfound humans that have sprung up. She has a passing fascination with the humans and their culture, though she is completely baffled by these "meme" things that they seem to be so obsessed over.
Alignment: True neutral

Appearance: Royce doesn't own any armour, but he does have a reinforced space suit with lots of zip pockets to carry all or any hear he might require. The suit is pale orange with white plates attached just above and below the joints, on the torso and the back. The helmet is a darker orange with the air tank on the back of the suit. A flashlight is built into the left glove, a strong electromagnet into the right.

Role: Researcher
Personality: At the heart of it all, Royce is a curious and inquisitive soul. His actions are dictated by his want to learn more, but tempered by a good heart and a basic human decency to be a good person. He's by no means a fighter but heading to the colony has plunged him into a world where danger lurks around every corner.

Friendly and approachable, Royce tries to see the good in everyone until proven otherwise. He's a stoic believer in the law but adamantly disagrees with the brutality of the officials. He favours diplomacy over conflict and believes that learning through equal discussion is better than coercion. He's a touch on the awkward side, but that's only because he gets nervous easily.

Appearance: William has a constant weary look on his face, he wears an older tattered leather jacket, and what appears to be a blue jumpsuit underneath. He has steel toed boots and two high quality gun holsters. He has dirty blond hair, and blue eyes.

Role: Trader, he travels and sells cargo to shops and businesses in return for money

Personality: William is a tired man, he works and works and spends it all on gambling, hoping that one day he will win the jackpot. He has no friends as they are either dead, or missing. Due to a couple of his friends being slaughtered by Khodai, he will not trust them even if it means his death. He is not a suicidal person, however of death comes for him he will welcome him with open arms.

Alignment: Neutral

Guns: He possesses two unnamed laser revolvers, they are dirty and you could obviously tell they are rarely used.

Equipment: Journal Ledger, Med Kit, Saddlebag, Pen, Knife

Other:

William will never back down from a bet, as he has a extreme gambling addiction, never having more than a few coins with him, due to the fact he gambled all the rest away
