‘Boo.’
Before the dark age
The kingdom of Yurndöm was filled with loud noises, the screaming of children and chatter of the people who were doing all sorts of things. Such as buying items talking with friends and loved ones or even just enjoying the day and enjoying themselves. It was a great day as the clouds slowly flew in the ocean like sky, the sun in the horizon. It was currently around the time of night as the sun slowly and surely went down the horizon as the moon replaced it as it slowly glided up into the sky.

Once nightfall had hit, some torches lit up the streets of Yurndöm as the business had only gotten crazier. Though one specific man was roaming the streets bleeding, and he was bleeding everywhere grains of pain could be heard as he roamed into a alleyway, his screams were getting violent and painful as he dug his nails into his skin blood coming from his skin. The pain was unbearable for the poor man, though it will become much, much worse. In humane screams began to escape the man’s lips as he dug deeper and deeper into his skin scratching constantly at the flesh that slowly came off of him, and soon his legs began to transform into tentacle like features his legs exploding as blood splattered onto the nearby surfaces. His teeth began to twist and turn into monstrous features as tears fell through his eyes. His constant addiction to digging into his skin became worse as he slowly ripped has own face from his head as he finally transformed into a disgusting monster…….

After the Fall of Yurndöm and the Earth
It was a dark area, definitely not on this earth that was for sure, there would be exactly twelve other figures in the dark area, they were currently sitting in some sort of vegetation, with white like pedals and a dark blood like color in the middle of the unknown plants. It wasn’t too dark for them to look at each other but they definitely couldn’t see the afar horizon of this unknown area. We much as they were confused they were about to have their entire perspective of life to change.

“My wonderful twelve knights, you are currently in a dream, you can not wake yourself up unless thee allows it. You are most likely pondering the questions,’Why am I here?’ ‘Who is this voice?’ ‘Who are these people?’, but your answers will soon be answered by your god. You may call me your god but I’m most recognizable by the god of light and the maker of this fallen world. You are here today because you all have been chosen to save this ruined world. You are the twelve pillars of the main ingredients I have used for this world,Life, Death, Fire, Ocean, Light, Darkness, Iron, Poison, Moon, Sun, thunder, and finally wind. You have all been chosen to save this world, you will help the ones who cry my name and beg for forgiveness, and you will answer them with hope. There are seven sins that have caused the destruction of my beautiful creations, they have cursed my children and have cursed them. You twelve shall slay the sins and save this earth, humanity will rise once again. I believe in you twelve. After you have killed the seven deadly sins, and save my beautiful creation, you all shall embrace your godhood, and become a full pledged god, good luck all of you.”

After meeting the Light God
As the meeting with the light god, in an instant flash the twelve knights were near the entrance of locations they were assigned to that the light god highly suspected that at least one of the sins were located though had no idea of which sin it could be. The twelve knights were in full armor some more than others, some lesser but one thing was common between them. They were all going to save the fallen earth and do their best to help the humans of the world. They all had a job to do, and they would search inch by inch for the seven deadly sins.

The Twelve knights have been assigned a task, to locate and destroy the seven sins and save humanity, the knights will be separated and assigned to a location. Each group will have 6 knights. After a long day of work all knights will relocate in gods haven.

The buildings were packed so tight as to choke almost all of the faint light from overhead onto the damp cobble below. It was a cold afternoon thick with mist and a chill wind that cut to the bone of any uncovered body. Beneath the uncaring canopy of roof-tops clattered a handful of murderous corrupted citizens after another terrified citizen who was scrabbling away. They had been chasing the poor soul for the better part of the afternoon and they were finally starting to gain.

Far above the rooftops a bright flash of light coloured both orange and seafoam pierced the shroud of buildings in an explosion of Divine light. The harried citizen tripped as they were blinded, falling behind a stack of crates, while the corrupted citizens fell back shrieking at the sight of such potent purity. Where once a dark street was now stood a Knight, clad head to foot in thick armour seemingly made of colourful corals, and holding a massive black poleaxe.

Takoda opened his eyes to the sight of the disgusting monsters splayed before him, grovelling in their insignificance, as he surveyed the area for a moment. He had noticed a civilian but could not find them now. He spoke both quickly and flatly, "If you wish to live, stay hidden until I call you forward." A heartbeat passed before the Knight exploded into action and one of the corrupted citizens equally exploded into gore.

The scent of blood filling his nostrils caused Takoda's eyes to go from their natural silvery blue to pure sickly green. His mind effectively gone his body fell into a well worn routine of battle dance. In the span of a few more minutes another enemy fell; although not before it's blade clattered harmlessly against the Knight's armour. In a spin and a twist another monster found itself face to blade with the black weapon. It tried to block. A foolish attempt that had the blade flung back into the corrupted beast's face with enough force to kill it. The final two attempted to attack the Knight both at once, levelling a flurry of attacks. They may have been able to hit if not for the ghostly faces and loud clicks that were tearing at their periphery. One struck the Knight's legplate making a glorious shower of sparks whilest the other clattered a blade off the chestplate. A sickening snap filled the air as the poleaxe transformed into two close combat punching claws, made of the same material as the poleaxe but looking to be the front appendages of a dragon that had the carapace of a lobster, the two of which claws flew forward and crushed the heads of the remaining foes.

A terrifying minute passed as the pursued citizen, a young man who had been on his way home when attacked, sat still as the dead waiting for the word of the stranger: or at least for the sound of their departure. "You are safe now. The monsters have been dealt with," the same voice intoned. The young man sheepishly revealed his brown hair, green eyes and olive flesh from behind the stack of boxes. The young man saw a sight of carnage, blood and viscera coating the walls and ground, and the corpses of the corrupted were in pieces about the Knight in coral armour. The Knight gave a gentle nod to the citizen before pointing towards at him and waving him away. Not wishing to push his luck the young man gave a curt bow and rushed off towards home. The Knight simply shouldered his weapon, which was a poleaxe again, and wandered another direction in search of his prey or his allies.

Moon Rise

The dark night was barely illuminated, all sources of light having been broken, except for the few that now shone like beacons, piercing the veil of thick darkness that laid upon Yurndöm. There was little that still lived here, truly lived, not the corrupted state of decay that the sins had put this kingdom in. Those few that did would hide away, surviving, but barely living. Food was scarce, death waited around every corner. Sometimes, people would gather to flock behind which ever walls they deemed able to keep them save, building miniature colonies of 10-15 people that tried their best to fend off what corrupted abominations would come their way.

One of those colonies, residing in what used to be an old inn, was illuminating the night ever so slightly. A lantern, that hung from the sign, where fading colors still proclaimed "Dripping Tankard Inn". But that very lantern, shining it's cone of light into the black surroundings, was what got the colony in trouble. It was meant to make it easier for the guard duty, which consisted of an old, retired city guard, to spot potential threats. Of course, it also made it easier for those very threats to spot where they needed to go.

The night had so far been relatively calm, with only a few corrupted citizens coming to see what the light came from, scratching against the wooden door, but as it did not give way, they would leave relatively quickly. But luck was running out on the poor survivors within their walls. Something bigger than just a corrupted peasant had spotted the light. A large, hulking monstrosity dragging what was supposed to be a great sword, but in fact was basically just a slab of metal with an edge and a thinner part functioning as a hilt.

The corrupted abomination was not walking, it was charging at where the light was coming from, wrecking any structures or creatures unlucky enough to be in its way. With the speed and ferocity this thing had, it might just have crashed right through the old building it was heading towards. If not for what could only be called a divine intervention.

In a flash of sacred light, the sky above the tavern lit up for just a split second. Not long enough for this monster to notice, it's gaze set on the lantern and the building it was attached to. But as it entered the cone the lantern was shining, a figure dropped into it's path. The light revealed golden hair and a bright, white and black armor, which was white in its majority with only back ornaments breaking it's brightness. The woman was not tall for a human and might have been mistaken for one, if not for the golden eyes that stared down what was charging towards her. In her hands, a purple blade shot upwards.

The noise of metal on metal resounded through the night. Sparks flew where the two weapons met. The force that the swords collided with was immense, as the monster came to an immediate halt. But the woman stood her ground as the blades locked. The corrupted giant drew back his weapon, giving an angry grunt, before attempting to smash it's heavy Metal down onto what seemed to be a dainty human.

The light of the lantern grew dim, as though it had been sucked right out of it. But the woman's eyes started to shine as though the sun itself shone out of the golden orbs. Like she knew what was going to happen, she positioned her blade to deflect the forceful swing, making the monsters sword Crash into the floor next to her. A small crater formed. But the knight paid no attention. She quickly performed to slashes, crimson blood leaking from the abominations legs where it had been sliced open. The giant howled in pain and fury, a quick hand slapping at the woman.

The sudden reaction of the monster found it's target. The small framed female was sent flying off into the darkness. The sound of stone shattering, ruins collapsing was heard. The monster stared after it's work, assuming the fight concluded. Until a pair of two golden eyes appeared in the dark, rapidly moving towards what had just hit them.

Out of the dark, the knight of the moon came crashing down onto the monster. Her purple blade was coated in dark swirls as she swung it down overhead. The armor, where once bright, had turned black. The dark ornaments had taken a shining white color. The giant raised it's crude sword, in hopes of blocking the blow from above. Sparks flew as the violet edge impacted the metal slab, splitting it in two and crashing into the floor. The abomination stumbled backwards, but had no time to gather it's thoughts. A quick kick sent it tumbling over onto it's back. Then, in a flash of black in the dim light, the woman had dashed forward, cleanly removing the head from the monsters shoulders.

Emilia Lunistra, Knight of the moon, stood and looked at her work. The entire fight had taken less than a minute. The people off the colony were saved. But more importantly, the monstrosity had been felled. Without paying attention to the frightened people inside, who had watched the display in awe, the woman walked off into the night. The lady of dusk and dawn, gone as soon as she came.

As the night got darker and darker James stood up his back posture straight as the moon rises directly behind him, his shadow casted over the dark and destroyed kingdom of Yurndöm, he had heard a few screams and callings of monsters but soon he heard one of defeat as long with some blood splatter, though it didn’t mean much to him, he himself was covered in blood from head to toe from unknown beasts and even human like blood.

As he looked down he would see one of the knights who had just finished killing a demon of sorts, he was holding his long and menacing like scythe up on his back resting his arms on the pole of the weapon. He looked down at her, he gave a cold stare of disappointment at the woman, scolding her for unknown reasons.

Good Greif, I can’t believe the light god thinks I need partners to clear out this damn disgusting kingdom, you should just leave Emilia, your the weakest knight out of all of us, we both know that, just go home, before you die here.”

As he said this he had landed perfectly onto the ground as he held his scythe from behind him, still posing like before as he walked past her grunting and mumbling a bunch of gibberish.

People never really tended to like James for his sour mood and attitude always being a mood kill and grumpy, he never even celebrated when they did he just watched or did something else instead of socializing.

Blood covered Naiyel from head to toe, as she had a run in with a worshipper earlier that night, in which she emerged unscathed, but covered in blood nonetheless. It didn't really matter to her that she was soaked in the monsters remains, as the fight resulted in her saving a family.

Naiyel was now skipping through the darkness, decimating every monster she came into contact with. She was definitely tired after all this, but she pushed through, knowing she had to, to free Yurndöm.

She then saw Emelia and James. Naiyel stood in the darkness, watching and hearing James coldness towards Emilia, why was he acting this way towards her?

Naiyel walked into the light and stared at James before speaking, " And you think you're the strongest? Last time I checked the Light god picked all of us, not just you James. "

Naiyel never really got mad, but this kinda pissed her off.

Armor style /// Voice claim /// Theme Song

The figure stirred, slowly, like waking from a deep slumber. Touch returned to their perception, they felt the heavy weight of armor on their body, and the chair supporting their back. They heard birdsong, and they took a moment, paused, to listen to the chirping. Such a pleasant thing to wake up to. Sight slowly returned, and they saw resting soldiers laying on the ground around them. They were in the eternal sleep, never to return. They felt a pang of sadness within them, so many bodies, and they tried to remember, something, anything about the soldiers. They were arrayed next to them, it would make sense that they would remember... ten thousand spears and swords once thumped against shields within these walls, armored boots marching in unison. Archers clutched arrows, warriors sharpened blades, healers prepared their supply. All working in unison, a synergy only seen with years of practice and working together. In battle, shields locked together, pikes lined up in rows, bows loosing arrows by the volley. The clash of steel and claw was vicious, flesh was cut, steel ripped asunder, monsters put down. Banners held high, billowing in the wind, armor shining in the suns light. And then it stopped. The memory was gone now, shelved away, it had been called for and it was recalled. The memory stirred something in the figure, something strange. A longing? A distance? Like they were there, but not at the same time. But no regrets. These warriors fought to protect, and they died protecting those who could not protect themselves, the figure only felt conviction from the bodies. No regrets. They felt a purpose from the bodies, and they dug further, reaching out to touch what the bodies felt, to feel what they feel. And purpose exploded in their soul, the same purpose as the bodies had in life. Words not their own then formed in their mind, laid directly but gently into their consciousness. It was The Light, providing a mission for their purpose. They felt a warmth as the words were placed in their mind, a closeness to divinity that they had never felt before, and as soon as the words ended, the warmth ended, only lingering. Lingering within themself. The figure felt a shard of The Light within their very soul.

The figure stirred, slowly. Their hand closed, grasping something gentle between their fingers. They looked at the gentle thing, discovering a bouquet of flowers, of Hyssop flowers. Green woody quadrangular stem and dotted narrowed elliptical leaf. Spiraled spikes of flower, purple, blue, pink, red, white, purple this time. A summer flower. They, with some effort, raised their armored hand, bringing the flowers closer to their faceplate. Hyssop. Hyssop. Hyssop.

"I am Hyssop." The figure said. And in the ground in front of them, blossomed a patch of greenery. Grass and flowers sprouted in seconds, and in the middle, a single large flower bloomed. White petals with a center of deep red. Hyssop felt holiness from it. It was a flower of Light. But instead of warmth, Hyssop felt despair from the flower, a coldness emanating from the other side of the flower. Hyssops attention was focused on the flower, they heard and felt the thump of spears hitting the ground, a rhythmic beat. Hyssop felt safe in the fortress, and wherever the flower would take them was the opposite, it would be cold, there would be danger. Hyssop leaned over and reached out to the flower. The beat became faster. There would be struggle, battle, but there would be those who would need protection. There was a mission. Their hand got closer. The beat became faster. There was a mission that has existed since mankind has existed, the mission of the good, to help others. To protect others. A mission that not even death could halt. Hyssops finger brushed a white pedal. The beat sounded like a cacophony of drums now, three thousand spears hitting the ground. "I accept." And Hyssop grasped the flower.

...Kingdom of Yurndöm...

It was still now. Hyssop was on one knee, looking down at a patch of lively greenery quickly die out and decay in the middle of the stone road. As soon as the grass and flower disappeared, Hyssop stood slowly, the only sound in the empty, dark street being their gentle clatter of plate armor. This was Yurndöm. Empty streets and abandoned homes, the Kingdom now only populated by monsters and demons, the only humans here being the unfortunate, unable or incapable of leaving. How could they leave? With no military force, anyone trying to leave would get torn to shreds by the monsters who've moved into their homes. Hyssop felt sadness tugging at them. With a hundred soldiers... but no, Hyssop was one of six. They would have to make do. Hyssop moved through the street, feeling the sadness of the ruined buildings that they walked by, and the hostility of the new inhabitants resting in their now darkened rooms. As well as the gaze of those who could not pass on into The Light's embrace, Hyssop knew not to look at them. To acknowledge them was to invite them into your reality, and Hyssop had no idea why they couldn't, or wouldn't, pass into The Light. The wounds of Yurndöm were deep, and it would take many years to heal, even after the Sins had been banished from its lands. That fact worried Hyssop, but they set that worry aside, they had to begin the healing process in the first place. And even before that, Hyssop had to regroup with the others. They looked towards the only beacons of light in this sea of darkness, and moved towards the cluster of three. Hyssop got nearer and nearer, and it wasn't before long that Hyssop could see the lightbearers with their own eyes.
And so, at a bit of a distance, Hyssop held their polearm close to their body, and greeted the three armored Knights with a shy wave.

The Knights United

Walking through the dark night, the knight of the moon kept a steady eye open, scanning for any threats that may come up. She care little for regular corrupted civilians or smaller monsters. That was not what she was after, not what she was sent for. The light god knew very well that she excelled at defeating singular, immensly powerful opponents, almost unparralled in her dueling skills. Though a noise that was less beastial than what one would expect was what cut the veil of silence in the end. It was a voice, speaking out toward Emilia, causing her to turn her head.

"Good Greif, I can’t believe the light god thinks I need partners to clear out this damn disgusting kingdom, you should just leave Emilia, your the weakest knight out of all of us, we both know that, just go home, before you die here.", it echoed through the dark. The knight of death, who had just spoken to her, was not known to be a sociable soul, once more shown by his obvious attempt at insulting and enraging his fellow warrior. But as Emilia looked at him, her face was one of stone. There was no reaction, no emotion in it, as she tilted her head. "I was send here by the Light God with a purpose. I am, just as the others, to cleanse these lands of its vile corruption. Though if it is a test of martial prowess, you desire, James, then that can be arranged,...", the woman replied, but instead of showing any aggression, she swirled her blade, making the blood it still had on it fly off, before sheathing it elegantly at her hip. During that entire process, her golden eyes never left the knight of death. "...after we return to the sacred city. Until then, I shall focus on what I was sent here to do."

Emilia quickly nodded at Naiyel, acknowledging her arrival, before turning back to James. "And you should do the same. Lest you wish to disrespect our Lord with your insolence, to disappoint with your incomptence to achieve even a simply task as this." Her face was still as though it was made of ice, while she spoke these words. Her eyes shot towards another new arrival, with Hyssop now not too far from the group. Then, she turned back to James for a last sentence, with which she meant to conclude what was in her eyes a blatantly unnecessary conversation. "Remember, James, that confidence is good, but pride may quickly become a sin. Do not think yourself greater than our Lord by questioning the decisions made."

Gorm the Iron Giant

The pitch black darkness of a city where no lanturns or candles burned was admittedly stifling, Odd considering he was in very heavy full body armor, shouldnt the armor feel more stifling than the darkness. Then the Giant realized how silly it was to be musing over such things given his circumstances. Not only did he not know where he was or how he got there but he was even confused as to who he even was. His oace through the empty streets was slow and deliberate, each step echoing through the darkness would cause him to pause and wait for a response, a second would go by and nothing would be heard so he would step again. He would time himself with each step coming to the conclusion that he may well be alone in this dark city. the pillars of light he saw when he initially awoke would change his memory nd each time he came to that conclusion.

Another Step then he froze, the sound rhat came back this time was not the echo of his giant metal wrapped feet falling on the stone street. It was a shambling sound, a scrape of steel, and the unmistakable whimper of a human being. He didnt know why but a fire grew in his chest and he turned in the direction of the sound. To his left an alley way snaked out from the street connecting the next one, and hidden amongst some rubbish were the fearful eyes of a child regarding him with a terrified caution. As the iron giants gaze continued down the alley he spotted the source of the other sounds a large twisted abomination carrying a large cleaver, Flanked by two smaller abomination with tendrils lined with wicked looking barbs. He finally realized why he had awoken with a sword in his hand. The child looked no more comforted by his presence than by the pressence of the monstrosities that pursued him, and part of The iron giant thought he could see the hope dying in the childs eyes.

“That simply wont do.” he said flatly to himself but in a tone audible enough for fhe child and abominations to hear, A bit more volume than i thought. he mused as he took a much larger series of steps without the hesitation between them. The child eyes now wide in a reinvigorated hope and awe flattened himself against the wall as the Giant walked past him. The abominations seemed to accept the challenge as they began rushing into the alley to meet him as if the predatory partnof their brains realized that this being would not allow them to have the children. The first to close the gap was the large cleaver toting brute who swiped at the iron Giant before he could bring his sword up to deflect it. The blade slammed into his armor with a loud thunderous clang causing the giant to take a step backwards and stumble down as the weight of the brute slammed into his chest. The smaller creatures with the tendrils attempted to scramble over him causing the larger one to attempt the same. However The iron Giant was far less phased by the blow than it seemed, while it was enough to push him backwards it didnt even dent the armor inwards and only scraped a quarter of an inch deep cut into the rust layer. He was able to close his vicelike grip around the ankle of the demonic behemoth and with a violent downward tug made stronger by his sitting up and using his core muscles, yanked the brute back using its thick girthy body as a sort of wall to push the smaller ones down his bosy as he rose and shove the trio back to the entrance of the alleys opposite side as he regained his footing.

The Abominable trio attempted to make their way back but The Armored Giant took the initiative his grappling gave him and brought his greatsword down with a thunderous crash. He had only been aiming for the biggest of the three who was in the middle of the group yet the downward swing cut through that brute as easily as it did the air, and when the rusted greatsword struck the cobblestone beneath the monster the stone erupted shattering the bricks in a square meter of the impact and blasting the lower half of the tendrilled horrors with enough shrapnel to reduce their lower halves into chunky ground meat. While the force of the blow carried dust and wind down the alley knocking the boy off his feet, but the great armored body of the giant stopped most of the shrapnel and what little slipped by clattered harmlessly away from the child. Upon seeing that victory was his the giant turned his head to look at the boy.
“Would you like me to walk you home young man?” He said calmly reaching a hand down to help the boy to his feet. The young boy nodded clearly still in shock but he took ahold of the giants index finger and pulled himself to his feet leading the way to fhe tavern where his family was no doubt panicking over his getting lost.
~~~
The duo walked unhindered through the streets rhe rest of the way. The trek though only ten minutes long was filled with alot of one sided conversation. The child took all of two minutes to get over his shock. After which he talked incessantly, even when the Giant didnt reply he would continue. Yet the iron giant did not ignore the boy, he simply absorbed what he heard, Occasionally commenting a single “Yes” or “No” but most commonly answering with “i dont know.” When the boy asked his name he had no answer and the kid said “you look like one of those golems” however the lisp of the kids missing front teeth made it sound like Gorm. To which he claimed was as good a name as any. Eventually the duo made it to the tavern and a strange feeling washed over the Giant now named Gorm. He could feel something tugging at him, metal, he didnt know why or how he knew but there was metal nearby, pure metal, sacred metal. Upon dropping the boy off he would begin a slow trudge in the direction he could feel this sacred metal from. As he approached he could hear a voice and he tightened the grip on his sword, trying in vain to muffle his heavy clanging steps. Whatever conversation he was walking up on it was the tail end of it as all he heard was
“Do not think yourself greater than our lord by questioning the decisions made.” Realizing that stealth was not an option he continued forward announcing his presence with a question. “What lord do you speak of? Is this being the one in my dreams?” He felt silly rhe moment he asked the question, as if they had been there to see his dream. he could now identify three beings there all holding those sacred metals he sensed, with a fourth not far off. His grip was still tighened on his sword, but he did feel far less threatened by these three than the three monsters he had seen, odd considering he could also tell that these three were much stronger than the monsters.
Naiyel watched as Emilia responded to James, and nodded with what Emilia had said, sticking her tongue out at James. “She’s gonna kick your ass.” Naiyel said with a giggle. She wanted to see this fight happen, and hopefully see Emilia kick his ass.
Naiyel stood there, still looking at James and Emilia for a moment before she felt the urge to turn around. Turning around Naiyel saw Hyssop waving to them, she smiled back at them and waved energetically. Even if the other two weren't getting along, she loved seeing the Knight's together. It made her happy, making her feel like she had a family.
Naiyel looked up quickly as she heard a voice, “What lord do you speak of? Is this being the one in my dreams?” She was thoroughly confused by what the big guy had said, “What do you mean what lord? The light God silly.”
James looked at emlia and scoffed at her, how dare she oppose him! Was she up for a challenging the knight of Death? How dare she! He was pissed off now and took his weapon out as it scratched the ground extremely loud hurting everyone ears surrounding him, he looked at her as he twirled it around his body smoothly and extremely fast.
What was that Emilia? Speak up to me woman , I dare you.”
He said with full pride in his tone of voice, though he was the loose cannon of the group and often did what he wanted though not many knew he himself was not like the rest and himself was a monster that the light god has chosen to serve him.
If your here like the rest of us how about you oppose me with a challenge? Which one of us kills a sin first is the superior knight.”
Then he heard the pipsqueak talk smack about the man and he sent a stabbing glare at the girl sending a message to shut their mouth.
Be quiet girl.
Armor style/// Voice claim /// Theme Song
...Yurndöm...
From another street, a tower of an armored knight appeared, approaching the trio and conversing with them. Hyssop watched in silent awe as the man walked, nearly double their own height, and upon closer introspection, discovered that this was a fourth lightbearer. Hyssop felt themself relax, not realizing that they had tensed at the sight of the knight. A blur of movement caught their eye, and Hyssop looked at the one of the slimmer knights, who was now waving back at Hyssop happily. Hyssop found a spark of excitement within themself, likely sharing the slim knights own excitement, and Hyssop stepped forward to meet the four. They walked chest held high, eager to meet their new companions, but as they got closer, they heard harsh words and saw threats. Hyssop slowed their pace, and visibly deflated, returning to their shy, guarded, reserved posture from before. They looked at each person there, their gaze eventually settling on the massive ten foot tall knight, and they felt something strange. A gratitude? Why? Hyssop found themself halting right next to the knight twice their height, and realized this wasn't their own feeling. It was coming not from within but from without. They looked around them, at the homes and buildings now abandoned and left alone, seeing that those lost within were all watching the tall knight, not anyone else. Hyssop turned back to the tall knight, and looked up to look at his helmet.
"You've helped Yurndöm already, haven't you?" Hyssop asked them, in a small, quiet voice. Feeling gratitude pressing in, Hyssop spoke again after a short pause, "We thank you. You've done something for Yurndöm's past, present, and future." The smaller knight felt the gazes now, they were looking not only at the tall one, but now at Hyssop, watching their interaction. "I am Hyssop, and who are you?"
Takado had been walking for what felt like an age through the darkness and corruption; slaying any monsters that deserved his wrath along the way. A pull had guided the Knight clad in coral armour within the walls of an immense metropolis. What had once been a grand city with opulent towers, immaculate streets and an energy infused with abundant life was now a degenerate husk being hollowed out from the inside by an unstoppable corruption. Most corrupted and degenerate creatures wisely gave the Knight a wide berth as he made his way to the source of the pull.
Voices filled the air as he approached from a constrained and shadow drenched alleyway. Takado was expecting another fight or perhaps some of the few remaining pure humans to be the source of the conversation until the sweet and warm scent of purity burned through his nostrils. His heartbeat raced as he approached; was he to meet his new master again, a new set of jailers or other Divines sent to aid his mission? He peered about the corner learning his answer as standing before him stood five other Knights reeking of purity and purpose. The familiar purpose that Takoda had been gifted.
The Ocean Knight burst from the shadow and answered the question posed by the individual, introduced as Hyssop, within two heartbeats of the words slipping between the cracks of his armour. "Takoda. I greet you all," his voice rattled from his closed helmet before a quick bow. His poleaxe still sitting gingerly across his pauldron pulsed with a gentle red glow as he spoke, accentuating the brackish blood that had collected in the cracks of his colourful armour, before the soft light snuffed with the cessation of his voice.
The wind blew with a crisp frigidness today. Few souls in sight, outnumbered by the masses of horrendous monsters and spawn. The high rises of human-kind, torn apart by the powers that be. The sight wasn't all too new. The only change was the appearance of the monsters, and the severity climbing through a scale of tenfold.
"Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you.
But when the leaves hang trembling
The wind is passing through."
A boy in the thinnest of clothing set his steps out from the cover of night. His double-bladed glaive gleamed with the foul creatures' blood, hovering around the boy only inches apart. He saw the group of others before they saw him. And as he approached, they could gradually hear the rest of the poem.
"Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I;
But when the trees bow down their heads
The wind is passing by."
His footsteps were incredibly silent; he practically appeared out of thin air amid the gathering. His arms were crossed, and he stood proudly despite the much taller companions of his. "You lot seem in need for a dashing savior to assist you!" He performed a theatrical bow, as if having gave a stunning performance just by being there. "The name's Fei. But please, 'Handsome' works just as well!"
Fei grinned smugly at each of them. People of all shapes and sizes (some enough to stomp him to smithereens) and all appearing as menacing as the ravaging monsters. He tried picturing each of their flustered looks—maybe how they'd look after lightening up a little. Fei wasn't going to have much fun here without them supplying it for him. "I hope you can pardon my being fashionably late. Poetry is a time-consuming hobby once you get into it."
Lunar Authority
There was a lot that happened in a very low amount of time. Just after Emilia had finished her sentence, the loud clanking of heavy metal armor in questionable condition sounded through the night, followed by a question at which the Moon Knights eyes could only roll. "What lord do you speak of? Is this being the one in my dreams?" However, before any reply could be mustered, another of her companions decided to speak up. It was the knight of darkness, Nayiel, not only speaking on the topic of James challenge, but answering the Iron Giants question.
Though that was far from the last of it. The thorn in Emilia's side, James, of course also had something to say about what had just been thrown towards him and he was very clearly displeased with the way this conversation was going. "If your here like the rest of us how about you oppose me with a challenge? Which one of us kills a sin first is the superior knight." This challenge sure did draw at least a few of the knights glances to Emilia, at least for the brink of a moment. Though god forbid she would get a word in.
The knight of poison talked to the Iron Giant, the knight of the sea seemed to catch up having already made contact with some foes on the way quite visibly and even the knight of wind had decided that showing up was something worthy of their artistic time. While the polite and calm entrance of Takoda was answered with a little bow from Emilia, the flamboyant entrance of Fei earned what can only be described as a glare that would silence anything short of a god with its sheer intimidating force. Emilia was growing annoyed with her companions and poor Fei was the one that got a taste of it first with this gaze directed at him.
With things now finally a bit calmed down, Emilia turned her head. Speaking to James first with a stern sincerity in her eyes, she commented his challenge. "I could not care less about what you think, James, nor about what you wish to do. What I do care for, however, is our assignment. An assignment, mind you, where you are my comrade. So while I have no buisness with the way you do things, a challenge that not only holds no benefit but even is harmful for our task, as it might result in you overestimating yourself and ending up dead because of your own vanity, is not a challenge I am interested in. I am flattered at your obessesion with me, but your feelings for me should not get in the way of our task."
Next, Emilia looked at her companions each, one after the other. "Now, Knights of the Light God and Champions of Fallen Earth. I can tell that some of you have not yet grasped the importance of what we are here to do. Of why we were brought here and given the power we have." The woman extended her arms, gesturing at the ruined scenery around them. "Behold the remains of Yurndöm, kingdom of man. Now but a ruin filled with corruption and desparity. Though this state is not to last. This corruption the sins have brought, not only here, but upon the entirty of this world, is ours to cleanse. For we are our gods holy blades, made to defeat the evil that has mankind at the brink of extinction." Emilia turned to look at James, then at Fei. Then, her eyes found Gorm. "It is due to that, knights, that I ask for but the bare minimum of seriousness for our task. We are not here to frolic in the ruins of ages past. We are not here to fight over petty topics. We are here to fight alongside each other, to cleanse this place as a first step to mankinds survival."
Then, Emilia quickly counted their numbers. Seven knights to clear one entire kingdom. " There is seven of us and a lot of work to do. I suggest we split into pairs. Then, we would either have two pairs and one group of three or three pairs and a singular knight on their own. I do not advise sending somebody without a partner, but it is not only my decision. In the smaller groups, we can each focus on one area. That way, we have the least risk, with the highest efficency." With that said, she waited for the reaction of the others. Though there was one person who she already knew was going to fight anything she just said.
