Fenn was born into the peaceful kitsune clan, living his whole life in the supernatural underworld without ever interacting with humans. He always wanted to explore beyond his home, whether that meant in the under or overworld. When news of the rift got to his clan, he quickly begged to be assigned the mission to protect the humans, so that he could fulfill his dreams to explore. It's no surprise that he pestered them to the point where his goal was achieved.

It is always difficult to find your place in the world. Especially when there is an opposing duality of what is expected of you and what you truly feel inside. Sano Sadayuki is no exception to this. There has always been a waging war in Sadayuki's heart, to which warrants his dualistic personality. Where one side he presents himself to be calm, collected, stoic even, yet dutybound and determined. On the other hand, he is still young, learning how to control his emotions and natural urges to seek enjoyment in life. Though he often second guesses his actions--logically picking the more reserved and restricting demeanor in front of others--he often fails to follow through, and reveals the inexperienced curious nature that young kitsune are known for. He enjoys learning about the human world, even though he's had little experience with it. He will often linger at local shrines to listen to the humans talk... until he grows bored and decides to add a little bit of mischief. More often than not, his urge to 'add a little amusement' to his day leads to trouble, whether it be big or small. He means well, by all means. It just so happens that not all of his intentions are so thought out.

Megumi is a calm and collected spirit, rarely showing much strong emotions. She is very intelligent as well, having lived for over a thousand years and seen a lot of things. Having fought alongside humans in multiple wars, she is very athletic and is great at combat and coming up with strategies. She is very persistent and hardworking, doing anything she can to reach her goal or the goal set upon her. Her ways are very old fashioned and steeped in tradition, so she may be a bit stubborn when it comes to do doing things that are more modern, but with a bit of pushing, she will agree to it.

Megumi Kamiyama, the renowned war kitsune, but she wasn’t always like this. When she is part of a long line of war kitsunes, so she knew that she had to become one of them at some point, but she got a few hundred years of bliss for awhile looking at the cherry blossoms, playing with other kitsunes, and overall having fun. But over time, she would watch the human realm from a far, she went a couple of times before her training. She saw the warfare and conflicts between humans, and she also had other creatures that would threaten their clan’s peace, she knew she would have to step up and start her training. Once she started, she never stopped, she trained with magic and human weapons alike, and became quick proficient with both. Once she had enough training she would be sent on missions, like fighting alongside humans or protecting the clan’s peace. Eventually, as the rift between the humans and kitsunes were growing larger and kitsunes were become more of a myth, Megumi’s name would be etched into myths as a bloodthirsty, war-hungry kitsune. But that is far from true, and her fellow kitsune who have met her would know that. In the kitsune world she is known for something else entirely, known for her bravery and fighting spirit to protect the clan.

Superficial, that is the one word most would default to when asked for a simple description of Ōka—especially in the world of Youkai. The kappa is an ardent admirer of humans for their savviness in business, and understands the world as nothing more than a game of profit. The ramblings of reclusive hermits are nonsense to him, he sees happiness only there where sparkles the golden sheen of money. In the pursuit of this 'selfishly pure' virtue, Ōka can play both ruthlessly and exploitatively, though he views what little competition he has as a necessary and amusing thing.

In truth, he is like a millionaire who can't quite understand why he doesn't feel joy anymore.

Little is relevant about the history of this kappa other than the flash of inspiration that ignited his growth into what he is now. Living a dull life in both literal and figurative rivers of gossip, Ōka—unlike the sensible members of his race—was awed by the hearsay of humans who leveled entire mountains to seek wealth and success. Starting to admire these creatures more and more, he abandoned the simple life offered to him and began his long journey of capital, doing anything he could to lay his webbed hands on antique coins, artefacts and shiny jewels. After seeing progressively mounting success (read: filled pockets) and being able to acquire practically anything he could wish for, he simply began searching for new peaks to conquer.

If there ever was a line, Taiga's long past it. Whether he is on the side of confidence or arrogance, well - in the end, that is for others to interpret on their own time. What's clear though is the fact that Taiga doesn't really care for nuance, superstition or blurred lines; he's the type of guy to give it to you straight. Not diced, or fried, or served with a side of teriyaki sauce - it's all or nothing with him.
